Jack inhospital. I went into a coma I think three days ago and have been awake two days now. I am 93 and love God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. I am still here and happy but it is hard but because of Joan worthwhile. Joan and the church saved my life when we got married t983 when I was on a down ward path. I would like to live long enough to clean up some of my family history and Joan and I take care of each others. Dieing is easy all you have to do is give up. This writing takes a lot of energy will try to sleep now Love you Joan.

Slow. I have more than 20,000 images. Organizing them into albums or folders in Memories takes ages. At the rate I’m progressing, I’ll die long before I finish. As the only member in my family , I’m alone in my love for family history work. The hard copies will be tossed into a dumpster. I wish I could find the help I need. Some of these things are important historical materials that should be preserved.

Audio files; on the go. I love that I can create an audio file when I'm visiting relatives. I'm not limited to bringing tons of equipment, just my phone to record oral histories... Then tag the file to the right people included in the history so it shows up on their person page. Same thing with photos. I love to take pics of previous photos on the spot rather than borrowing them and being entrusted with irreplaceable memories to return.

Interviewed my aunt in California.. I used this to interview my aunt in California. She sat with me with her photo album and told me lots of stories about our family. I got the photos and her voice story of each one into Family search. She died about six months after that. I met with her son’s family, and help them get a family service account. I brought up each of the voice recordings of the memories and let them listen to it. Her son was overwhelmingly grateful to be able to listen to his mother’s voice and the fun and laughter she had recording those memories. it helped brighten his day. This is a tremendous app. I have added many photos with recordings of my own family and grandparents. Their memories will last forever. I greatly endorse everyone to get this app and use it before it’s too late.

Gathering Israel Is The Best!. Thanks for making this app easy and available to the membership of the church. Plus it’s easy for old people like me. It was great to able to throw my book of remembrance in the trash! I certainly don’t need that now. I think I’ll ask my bishop if I can give a talk about this wonderful bit of technology in sacrament meeting.

Thank you. Thank you for making this available free of charge. I have used this on many occasions to record stories being told by relatives and tagging it to their history in FamilySearch for and audio history. It’s a wonderful tool that will bless generations to come.

Family search is a wonderful website. I have been using it for years and love it but I recently decided to do the family tree and now regret it. I now have information that other people added which I know is incorrect. You should have to have proof of what you are adding. I would delete my tree if I could.

Collecting pictures. I’m enjoying getting pictures of siblings, children, family, nieces and nephews, grandparents, uncles and aunts and cousins off of Facebook posts when I receive them and putting them in the different files on my family tree. Someday I think my efforts will bring joy to others. It’s also fun to go review the pictures of each person myself. As soon as a picture comes I save it and put it in that person’s file.

FamilySearch Memories App. I am enjoying making new memories especially audio on This new app but I still have some questions and some things don’t quite work the way I need them to and I can not access these files on my regular family search Family Tree account which is confusing I would like to be able to access them through my regular family search account and for my family to see them but otherwise it’s really cool. Memories app. Memories is a great app as it allows me to add pictures to FamilySearch. An example was couple weeks back was in a museum that had books for sale. The book was about local service people that served and or died in WWII. There was a picture of my mom’s sister’s husband that was KIA in WWII, had not previously see. I was able to instantly add to FamilySearch and give credit to the book. I show others how to add of funeral programs to their kins data in F/S. In fact I did that today with a new member of their aunt.

History written!. Fascinating insights to personal and social history. I am certain that the writers of some of these items are the only person alive aware of the item's existence. Once they are written, the whole world becomes aware. Blessings to the writers AND the readers!

A very useful and easy to use app for family history. I use this app all the time and it seems to get better and better. It is very convenient to save pictures, audio, documents, etc. for future generations to see. Of course, there are a few little tweaks I wish they would make, but I am imagining those will be worked out in over time.

Review. There is something I would love to see apart of family search and that is where you are able to find people that are related to you in the world that they did have it and than they took it off then it was no longer than to use. It was such a great addition to family search. I felt it made familysearch so enjoyable and fascinating to find people that are related that you never knew of and you wanted to dig into family research even more so and there is a tool called find a neighbor or friend ugh to how do nearby that is related to you but when you use the tool it works for a distance of a 100 feet so you cannot find anybody so it’s really a big disappointment it works like a radar and I thought how do you change the distance because 100 feet don’t get you out of your house. I hope this can all be corrected and enhance familysearch because would want to research even more so because they have other avenues to research on. Amazing to do family history or store key photos. This app is great! We have been using it to make sure there is a record of our kids’ growing up years. They love too participate, choosing photos or recording audio.

Bug. I don’t what you’ve got. But, i have done this a couple of times now, and it’s getting tiresome. I try to click up a picture from the library, and it get the picture, then gives me a white cover page with drag a picture, and place here or that sort of instruction on it. I try that, and nothing happens. So now what.

Very nice but room for improvement. Nice tagging functionality. One improvement for that would be to recognize faces based on previous tagging to shortcut the process. Also could use more automated functionality such as importing photo location and date information recorded by the phone (if smartphone was used to take the photo).

Amazing way to keep memories alive. I absolutely love it. It is very easy to add memories and keep your family history alive. I am so grateful that the app was design so we can build our stories and we can leave a legacy to future generations.

Blair Family History. This family search website is awesome. I’ve been searching for my family for a very long time. This website has given more information than I’ve ever found on my own. It just puts the puzzle together.

Love! love! love! memories!. So easy to use and has connected me on so many levels to ancestors and relatives both living and dead. Relatives (including me) are pulling out those boxes we’ve been storing for years and adding all the content into our family trees through the memories App. The technology is so wonderful! I love it!

Poorly Optimized. The App has presence & is just generally ok, my experience is it’s slow, clutzy & in need of major retooling. It appears that Managers want something more appealing & “sexy,” (oops church managers probably find that vernacular a no go but even so that’s what they want, but someone’s not getting sufficient resource to make it happen)!?!?!?! Best to fix it as it give’s Geneology an artful & socially exciting edge.

Almost the last one :-). Wonderful when you’re waiting for the saviors return day by day. And that we can do that or wait on Donald Trump to read the book of Mormon and be baptized I don’t think it will happen before he become speaker of the house maybe before he’s president :-) go Penn State wrestling.

Great- except RootsTech Banner. I really enjoy Family Search. Very helpful tool. I do have an issue when they put the RootsTech banner up and I’m trying to attach a source using tasks on my phone. I often times can’t see the attach button when the keyboard gets brought up to type in the reason for attaching the source. I don’t know if it’s only because I have a smaller phone, but it would be nice to hide the RootsTech banner. I only have issues when that banner is on there.

Memories. I love to be able to take a picture of a picture and put it in my memories from my phone. I also appreciate being able to crop it before saving it.

Great for Keeping Precious Memories. I love to store precious moments in this app from stories from our children’s growing up years that we might treasure later. Also, there are just some things that should be written down, particularly when our children feel close to their Heavenly Father and have a faith-promoting experience that strengthens their testimony. I encourage you to record these precious memories in the app and mark them private so just you and family members can access them. This app integrates well with the family search app linking memories to people by tagging their names. It is also great for recording stories of families members when they are sharing either at holiday gatherings or other visits. You never know when these moments will be spoken of again. Audio memories are really nice because when these older family members pass on, it will be nice to have a recording of their voice to share with someone who did not know them.

App. This App allowed me to put many stories I had written over my lifetime about different relatives and to share their contributions to my life and the unique individuals that each person was. Thank you for the technology to do this. Judy Busk

Connects to Family Search Tree. I love this picture of her storing family memories. I love how I can store audio clips and pictures and stories of the same events together. I love how I can tag people in any of those memories and it automatically uploads it to eachFamily member in my family tree on family search.

Memories Apo. I just love this app. I can be with family who have a bunch of photos I can take pictures of the pictures right there. Some of the originals have been hard to decipher but I can tell who people are when I use the memories app. I can put notes right in at the same time. What I like the very best the photos and stories will be around for future generations. And the last and surely not the least it’s FREE!!

Hard to deal with. Can’t easily tag. Gets lost if pdf. When put into a “story” hard to work with adding photos, tagging, finding only as a story in amongst all the memories. The photos and pdf documents used for the story get lost in the rest of the memories. If wanting to work with documents or photos attached to a story, the story is not what is being used, just separate items in another part of memories. Stories should automatically have their own separate space, so there are ONLY stories.

My love for genealogy increases daily. When I work on my genealogy it becomes a challenge that I keep working on because I feel the need to help my loved ones to be taught the gospel . I feel as if I know them personally and it brings me joy! I try to encourage non members to start writing down tiny bits of any information that they know about their loved ones , I encourage them to talk to all living family members and ask them questions of anything that comes to their mind. I try to impress on my friends how wonderful genealogy can bring happiness into their lives .

Love The Ancestors. Few things in life give me more joy than family. This app particularly, brings that warm feeling of love and belonging that only family ties provide. I have learn to love and understand the decisions, good and not so good, made by those who were part of my family and have left a print in my life. Time on earth goes by so quickly that I want my posterity to read, know and learn who we were, who we are and what we are striving to become.

Missing memories. No filters.. Doesn't show all memories. Only the most recent probably 200 or so. Also doesn't have filters to show "not tagged" or "no title" like you can do on the website. The website also needs to adopt the same circular tags and auto-face-circles as the app so everything stays consistent. Very Disappointed. Also people I can tag in photos in the Tree app don't show up in the Memories app, so I have to tag myself in the Memories app then reload the Memories app feed then I have to open Tree app and go to my profile then tag the CORRECT person then delete the tag I made for myself. Complete disaster. Also I can't work on profiles for living people collaboratively with my first cousins!

L❤️VE #52Stories!. I cut up the colorful poster with all of the questions and keep them in a jelly jar on my nightstand. Quick and easy to write an answer. And I hope quick and easy for reading by my family in the future.

Excellent App with new voice memo.. Family Search and Memories are great genealogical rwouldesources. I would like to upload pictures from google photos.. This is the one improvement I would suggest. I really like the new addition of recording a short voice memo to associate with a photo.

I Remember. When I was a child, my Grandmother and I would sit on the front porch and she would tell me her memories of younger days. She especially loved to tell of her mother teaching her to Tate and crochet. Now my daughter Karen tells of me teaching her to crochet when she was seven. Karen is a member of many “Crocheting Clubs” around the world. She has learned many different stitches and made many Afghans to give away to friends and people she does not even know. Karen has crochet a Afghan pattern only once making each one , “one of a kind”. How thankful I am for memories. Patricia ( Flynn, Davidson ) Venable

Why was I paying for cloud storage? Memories is free.. Better than cloud storage because it’s free and the same sign-in as Family Search. Works with or without the internet. Memories is permanent and available to family after we pass on.

Memories. This is great, it is so much easier to use than the old way on a desktop computer. I would be close to tears trying to get the pictures centered and tagged. I love that it shows how many tags are on each picture and that they are easy to correct and position. Thank you.

Stories. It is important to leave stories for future generations! This is so convenient!! When an event happens, instead of saying I need to write something down, you just go to the app and at least write a few thoughts and then later you can add details to it. Once it’s here Its saved forever! No need to have a notebook and try to remember where you put it.

Love it!. I love that I have an option to be working on pictures for Family History. I have hundred and hundreds of pictures to upload and share. Struggle to find time to sit at a computer to do it. Now I can do a few at a time wherever I am. The only thing that I wish was different was that I wish I could see the name of the photo or file because when I scanned the pictures in, I would name it with the date and the info I needed to know about the picture. For now, J have to skip adding the date and place and the names of those I don’t know the names of and just do the people I know.

Memories works great for me!. I use it all of the time for adding photos to my family search members. I edit my photos on my phone and then add them to memories it is super simple. I teach others to use it when I am working in the family history center. It is such an easy tool and when people figure it out they are so excited to be able to use it.

Attaching to family search files. Three years ago attaching a audio file to a family search file was relatively easy. Today I cannot figure out how your app even works for attaching pictures or audio files to a specific individual in family search. It should not be complicated. It should not take me two hours to finally give up. It should be obvious how to do that. But to me, it is not. After two hours I still can’t figure it out.

I helped my neighbors put pictures in and then their picture show up in my record. I like the app a lot however it would be nice to be able to delete some of them as they’re not my relatives are just people that I help do family history work

Love it so much!. This serves as my journal. And it’s great because I can put pictures on it, and tag family members who are part of the story. It’s a lovely and sacred way to keep memories. When I grew older I would love to make my account accessible to my kids so they can see my insights and stories. That’s a great legacy for them.

Easy to create memory for posterity. With life at an always frenetic pace, we can slow down for a brief moment (waiting for kid’s practice or another slow moment in you day) and capture what life is really like. It only takes 2-5 minutes to record a story about your life, or a recent notable event. Your loved ones will appreciate your voice, your perspective and the off the cuff nature of a voice recording this easy to use app makes possible to create!

Why I recommend. I just love this app.I have found ancestors all the way to the time of before and after,B.C I come from linage of Spaniard dukes and queens kings from My mother side, to be the least My 8 x cousin was the inventor and the reason we have color tv. I truly recommend 👍

Freezing. Occasionally gets hung on a blue upload screen while I am browsing photos that I can’t click out of. I am not uploading anything when that occurs - it does not allow any upload either. Screen can’t be dismissed. I usually log out and come back later.

Family Pictures. Putting in a picture by each name in a 4-generation pedigree chart has never been easier. Just take pictures of family photos. Once the photos are in your gallery they are ready to be placed by names in your pedigree chart.

Great functionality to record family history memories!. I love this functionality and look forward to video upload functionality!

organizing photos and memories. This is an excellent way for me to keep track of and find information on my family. I sure appreciate being able to utilize the Memories feature to organize pictures and memories! Thank you!!

Love how easy it is!. I love how easy it is to add photos to familysearch using this app! It’s so fast. It’s as easy and fast as Instagram. I wish I could choose the cover photo of albums. Maybe I just haven’t discovered how yet? Looking forward to a time when I can upload videos!

It’s a lot of genuine FUN!. So many hints and tips and leads to filling in the empty pages in the family history…. I love it! One issue, however, is the number of (probable) duplicates in the references when you look for someone…. Yes, I know we can combine/reduce them ourselves, but why doesn’t the algorithm do some/a lot of the work first? Especially if someone has added an ancestor with little additional info - rather than create yet another person with a new serial number, ask/require that the writer either use one of the people already stored or provide lots of data that absolutely distinguishes their relative from everyone else already there…

Perfect, until your composition is erased. Spent a whole hour writing on a story, then when I had to briefly switch to another app, everything was erased when I switched back! This is not the first time it happened to me. Husband had the same experience where some entries were deleted after syncing data. I hope this can be fixed. Autosave or warning prompt, or anything. Memories are written differently when emotions are no longer raw. :(

Use of Memories App. VERY EFFICIENT AND EASY TO USE!

Useless without WiFi. I thought we were supposed to be able to access some of this App without having to use the Internet. How can I record my Father's stories when he doesn't have WiFi? Or add information he has given me? Without this feature this App is useless to me. It would be wonderful if you could add this - for us who travel a lot and collect family stories. Thanks

Great App- needs improvement. Great App! I love how easy it is to keep memories. I wish you could add video and also there should be a way to edit/organize the order of photos uploaded.

Mobile app for memories. We are having a class on the uses of the app by our FHC director right now. It is a wonderful app!

Great App for travelling. No matter where I go I am always on the lookout for cool stuff to add to my family tree such as new (usually old!) photos and stories and documents. With the Memories app I can document anything new I find and put it directly onto FamilySearch. Very handy if you meet someone with treasured stuff they don’t want to part with, but are happy to share by letting you take a picture of it.

Family Memories. I just love using this! A great place to put my family memories that I never want to lose. I’ve also connected with family I never knew I had and seen memories I had never seen before. I want my posterity to know who the people are in the family photos and not be left with boxes of photos that have no names or stories and therefore no meaning to them.

Great App for linking to Family Search. It is so easy to sync my pictures and audio recordings directly into the tree and label them so I don’t forget or lose those if my phone goes down.

Love this easy way to add memories to Family Search. It is easy to quickly add little memories because I always carry my phone with me and can add short bits as I think of them. That may not be the tidiest way but it beats not doing it at all.

Beginning the great photo download!. This has been on my mind to do, and last night at RS “start your family history project” Activity, we were reminded of the opportunity to use the Memories on FS !! It’s so cool and easy!! Kudos to the FS-MEMORIES genius!!!

Debra. It is so nice to be able to go into your ancestors file a see actual pictures of them. It brings them to life. And we can see where the family gets different characteristics from. Bravo on this application.

Bug kicks me out during picture tagging. After tagging 3-4 people it kicks me out with each additional person tagged. The information is saved but I have to log back in each time it happens.

I Love Memories. Family Tree Memories is the EASIEST way to store, document and access my family treasures. It’s incredibly intuitive, and I have all my memories at have to share, or simply to enjoy. Thank you Family Tree for this amazing program!

No scanning necessary!!. Great to be able to preserve memories for generations without having to scan!!! Just take a picture of the picture.

Password Issue. Very frustrated. Difficult to change password. Site does not sync up with my password program!

Best people “locator” hands down!. Idk what I did the past 32 years without this app. I’ve only just found it & it’s helped me get more information on long lost family members, than any other locator app/website.

Worst App Ever in my opinion. I would never in a million years download this garbage again. I regret giving it my information and have been trying to delete for past hour. It says you can delete but never gives the option to do it. The app and website have failed to respond and I’m shaking cause they have my information. I don’t understand the favorable reviews but I’m happy fir them as fir me I will never trust this developer again

My memories. Enjoyed using this app for storing my family documents. I am able to share with my family and display them for anyone to add more information.

Great way to preserve memories. I use FamilySearch Memories app for everything from obituaries to scrapbook photos. The app makes it easy to use my phone. It’s like having an archiving machine in my back pocket! And I can add audio so easily. Thank you

Family photos. Excellent but I would appreciate being able to pull photos for my personal use.. Like to be able to copy photos in Memories.

Memories App. I love how activity in the Memories App links to the family tree files. The app’s a great one-stop gateway for quickly scrolling through and accessing all the memory docs, images and photos I’ve previously added or uploaded to FamilySearch!

Amazingly Simple ~ Wonderful. Memories is so easy to use. I love that we can see what pictures & other memories people have of our ancestors, and we can share what we have. What a Treasure!!!

Confused 😕. When I publish photos for my ancestors and leave and then come back to their profile I can’t see the new ones I just published!?!

Visual Journals. I really enjoy the ease of down loading photos. I like to use this area as a photo journal. I have a hard time just writing in a normal journal style but this makes my life easier and hopefully more interesting for my family.

Memory lane. I love to have these precious memories in the church records for me and my family to enjoy . I also am pleased to have the ability to have recorded journals. It makes it simple to make entries and keep them easily accessible even for generations to come.

Great Ancestry Find!. This is a great easy site to locate your ancestors. It’s a much easier site and it ties I to all the other sites in case you get stuck on one of your lines. I have really enjoyed using this program.

Scrapbook and Journal. I love how I can store my photos on here to view for the millennium. In which I am hoping this app carries over tell then. I also write stories of my life as I go along.

Scanning and Saving Family Photos. I have been so excited about installing my family’s pictures...several generations of ancestors. I feel comfortable preserving photos along with my ancestors’ information.

Needs abilities to upload audio. Great app, where I can store many of my family’s memories, although I think there should be an option to upload a voice memo and not just to record one

My favorite family photos. I love it! I put all of my favorite family photos on here and I know they are safe for generations to see. Thank you Family Search.
