You have got to be kidding me!!!. What a joke!!! I have been using the free version of PackTheBag for about two years and absolutely love it. I thought surely an upgrade would enhance my experience. Was I ever wrong!! This new app is so confusing and so frustrating and very complicated I have recommended pack the bag to several of my friends and I will now tell them not to upgrade. The company should take this app off the app store and refund everyone's money. I'm going back to the free version and regretting the day I ever spent the money.

Very Complete. They list all the things I usually forget.

Simple but powerful. Too many travel packing apps are full Of superfluous features that make them way too tedious to use. This app followed the KISS (Keep It Simple & Straightforward) in its design. The multiple categories cover most everything anyone would need, so an afternoon of customization (adding/deleting items) is really all you need to commit to in order to have “exactly” what you need. Once you’ve customized it, it’s simple and fast to create easy to use packlists.

Would not have any other. I have been using this app for a number of years. It is amazing wether I am going hiking, golfing,coast to coast OR just to visit the kids. I would not be without it. I LOVE IT AND THEIR SUPPORT IS THE BEST

Comprehensive categories. Intuitive interface with cool optimization (detects whether you want to hold on the checkbox or the whole row and asks you to choose). Extremely functional app.

Best Packing App. I travel a LOT and have tried a number of packing apps. Pack the Bag is by far the best, most intuitive and most flexible of all of them. Only changes I would make are integration with TripIt and/or a weather app. With this information, combined with a couple simple questions when creating a trip like whether the trip is a business or leisure, whether you are alone or with family/children could allow the app to pre-populate the packing list which would take the app from great to awesome.

Great app. I have a LOT of apps on my phone, and this is by far one of the best and most practical. I use it for trips, and also to keep track of the supplies in our camper. You can add literally anything to a list, customize lists and reuse them, and send a list to your family members. That’s super helpful for teenagers who usually forget to pack something. It also reminds me of things I might forget until the last minute, like stopping my mail before an extended trip, turning off water taps, and sending trip information to family.

Ruined. This used to be a great app! So helpful. Don't know what they have done with it or why but I'll probably be uninstalling it and finding something different.

I can't believe it got better. Pack The Bag Pro is amazing (the free version too). It really makes it a breeze to plan in advance for your trip (business or vacations), especially for us Disney Vacation Club members, there is so much advance planning needed to ensure you make the best of it. This App helps me efficiently to not miss a step or forget to pack my items. Been using it for a few years. I really can't believe it got better. Thanks.

Good app. Can't figure out how to reuse a previous list.

Fantastic packing app. I initially tried the free Pack the Bag app and loved it so I decided to upgrade to Pro, and I agree with the other reviewers. I also travel a lot and have tried many apps but this is truly the absolute best. I haven’t yet left home and forgotten something. This is the most comprehensive app I’ve tried. I have lists for weekend trips to months-long trips. I can duplicate, sort, rearrange, recategorise, anything. I’ve had the app for years and among my most essential.

New version is awful. I loved the version before this latest update. Now, it is too complex for me even to just mark all items on packed, which I still have not figured out how to do. The simplicity of the old one was much smoother for me. If I cannot figure out how to check or uncheck all items at once, I will likely switch to another app

Useful app, overall good could be great. Overall, this app is good and very helpful but could be great with a few added features. For example, the ability to create several typical lists such as business travel, international travel, etc. the second thing it could use is a way to make notes about specific items you want to bring for example not just list 5 shirts but have a way to note a description of the exact shirts you want to bring.

Great app. As an avid backpacker and use this app to make sure I take what I need, leave behind what I don’t, and know the weight of what I’m carrying.

Love this app. I use this app for all my travel-work, pleasure, weekend, summer, winter- and have separate packing lists for each kind of travel. It is incredibly helpful! Thank you for this great app!!

Positive. I absolutely hate the changes made to this app. It is now so difficult and confusing to use. It used to be so user friendly. I am definitely going to remove it from my apps

Great Travel App. I’ve probably tried or bought over 7 packing apps. This one is my favorite. Easy to learn and I like the way it looks. Highly recommend. I really wish it could integrate with the TripIt app though. Perhaps soon?

Sometimes Free IS Best. I had been a huge fan of the free version of Pack the Bag, uploaded it to my old iPhone 3GS, and using it on a number of my trips to help me organize. I held off for a while before taking a chance on the pay version, wondering if I would not only like it better, but if it would be as flexible and efficient as the original. I had some extra iTunes gift dollars and decided to give it a go. I'm only thankful the free version still exists. After several attempts for vacations last year, I gave up and returned to my tried and true. For one, the pay version appears more complicated than the first, which is ridiculous. I'm big on categories and subcategories, and I was never sure if I was adding something to be packed later, or what was happening, as I seemed to be going thru way too many clicks to add one item. Even deletions were complicated due to swipe attempts which weren't always successful. I liked the idea of being able to "pack" an object in a specific bag you're taking, but even this got frustrating. The only thing I did like was the weight section; when one has to be careful not to overpack due to baggage fees, etc. this was the one helpful benefit. After consulting the instructions numerous times, I finally contacted the designer by email AND even on Facebook, but despite their answers, I was never able to achieve their claims. In the end I removed the pay app and reinstalled the old one. It wasn't worth the trouble.

Best of so many tried. Finally a simple, well thought out design! I’ve tried so many apps for packing over the years. This is the first to have a layout for planning what to take (clothes, hygiene, etc.) and an option to switch to a layout sorted by where the items are packed. Powerful, but simple to setup and use. As a now-former Packing Pro user I am so grateful to leave that complexity and old-school look.

What happened?. I upgraded and the new version is unusable. The old version was fine. I can't find check off lists that are practical.

Great packing app!. I use this app for every trip to make lists for me and my 2 boys. It is so nice to copy previous pack lists to make new ones. There are tons of items in the different categories, and you can add your own, too. (I just wish it was 2 steps easier to add them.) the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I have yet to figure out if I can hide or archive old lists. But overall, I love this app!

Pack The Bag Pro. Excellent packing app. I've been using the basic version for a few years -- the pro version has added many new features -- makes packing for trips way less stressful as I know I will never forget something important.

No auto syncing.... ...makes this app an also-ran. This is a nice app to work with, but without auto syncing across all my devices, it is completely worthless. Plus the ratings nag? Twice in two days now! I've already rated this app. But then I get this ratings nag to rate it. So here's your rating. Hope you like the one star. It's three less than I originally gave. Don't ask us to rate you!

Well written, insightful and easy to use! A travel game changer!. I spent 5 minutes with this app and already have a better list for my upcoming trip than I ever have had for previous trips! Simple to use, next to no learning curve and very customizable!

Pro version fails to make needed UI improvements. I think this app has potential, but it's still a very tedious process to get one's list items and categories set up to one's liking. As it is, each and every item requires a long left swipe, then clicking to delete or typing a new name, then confirming. Given that there are dozens of items, it's almost more hassle than it's worth. Inventory items need a bulk edit mode (select multiple to remove, drag/drop to a new category...) Also, it's not immediately apparent whether you're in plan or pack mode, which leads to frustration when actions don't work as expected. This could be a truly five-star app if it worked on a friendlier and faster experience rather than making using the app a project in itself. I hope the developer can fix these issues so that I can rate it higher and feel better about upgrading to Pro.

Organized packing. The upgrade version is much more flexible in customized items and groups. The ICloud function works great between all my devices keep developing as this is a good app

The Best!. This has been the best packing list app for a long time, period. Just when you think it can’t get any better, the developer adds a new feature. He also quickly responds to questions.

It's essential. I love PackTheBag! I use it for every trip, whether just a weekend or several weeks of international travel. I love that I can reuse past list, customize items, and sort in a variety of ways. Thanks for keeping me sane before my trips.

Best packing list. So many features and sorting options. This is by far the best packing list I’ve ever tried on the App Store. My only request are: - add a note section to each individual item and - add a sort option that combines all items to a single list regardless of category or storage location

My Go-to app!. I use the app for every overnight trip we take! So easy to use. Has an editable pre-packing list with things I would have easily forgotten. I love that I can re-use old lists instead of starting from scratch. I can easily add new items and/or categories. For example I know I'll probably never go sailing so I changed that category to 'cruising' and removed some of the old items and added new ones. It will tell you if something you add is in another category in case you don't want to add it twice. This thing has saved me from forgetting key items on my trips. There's also a 'notes' area which i use for flight or hotel confirmation numbers. There's areas to take pics of items and add their location if you are forgetful like me. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Too complex to be of use. Not digging this app at all. Icons are hard to see, the UI is way too complicated, and if you invested the time to master this app, your trip would be over already. If you are a frequent international traveller that needs hundreds of items on every trip, then maybe. Otherwise, I'ma pass.

Free Version 😍. I love the free version, but sadly wasted my money on this paid version. To put it mildly, I hate this version. They created a bland, difficult, irritating app here.

My go to app before I go anywhere. Easy to use with preset list of packing essentials & simple to customize. I have packing list for carry-ons. My briefcase for the types of business trips and daily use. I used the list to effortlessly pack for a month on Tibet camping and a month house sitting. I even have my cosmetic bag inventoried with this app. It makes life easier and more organized.

Fantastic Packing List. Innumerable fantastic features which I have been using in the free version of the app for some time and upgraded to the paid version to support the writer. Not having adds pop up in the pro version eliminates much of the stress of packing. Since I refined my lists after my first few trips, I never leave anything home anymore. I use the list in reverse to repack before returning home preventing loss or items. One of my favorite features of the app is storage location so I don’t leave things at work I will need, for example, and have to return just to pick them up. Being able to set the number of each item to pack is also great. I don’t pack enough to use the item weight feature but it’s great to have available should I need it. This is the best packing app I have found & won’t travel without it.

Never leave something behind again. This is a great App. Let's you create your list to suit how you organise things and covers all those things that need to be done before you close the door behind you like empty the rubbish, stop the mail and let people know where you are etc. There are excellent lists set up that you can use, you can create your own from scratch or you can use a combination of the 2. I love it and have set up my own master list that I use as my core for all trips.

Went back to the basic pack the bag app. After downloaded the ads free version, I went back to the original pack the back app (with the ads). I think the interface with the upgraded version makes everything seem complicated and very hard to read. This might due to the dull background and small front; I had played around about 5 minutes then I gave up, I don't think I can starring at this app and knowing what I need to pack for a long period of time; the original app is so much more fun and with the much bigger front, it does somehow brings out the fun to plan and pre-organise all your travel needs. I had used the original app for many times and cannot leave without it.

Simple to use. This is a great app if you travel a lot. I basically have my whole wardrobe plus business and travel items listed and can just quickly tick what I want to take with me. Whenever I don't use it I forget something!! It would be improved if you could add photos of the items.

Comprehensive packing list. This app is a dream come true for me because I can pack for any occasion and not miss an item. I ended up inventorizing everything I own and its location.

Nearly perfect. This packing app is very helpful! I would give it 5 stars if it had the following features: 1. A setting to keep the app at the last used setting. I open a packing list then hide all the packed items to see what is left to pack. By the time I've grabbed some items and go back to the app it has closed my list and puts me back to the starting menu. It's very annoying! I have to re-open the list and re-hide the packed items and scroll down again to check off the items I've just packed. Very very inconvenient. 2. I'd love to see an option for sub-lists (to specify things like the exact t-shirts I plan to pack) 3. A bonus feature would a way to mark items (maybe a star or something) that can't be packed until the day of travel. These items would go to a separate sub list.

Very useful. Useful and simple. I've tried a number of packing lists and this is my favourite. It's easily customizable but also has an extensive list of common items to start from. The only major improvement would be to sync across devices without having to export to Dropbox first.

Must have. This is a great app. Being an event planner makes me a list maker. What I didn't like, was making my packing list in a spreadsheet or word processor then having to print it. Pack the Bag solves that problem. My list is as mobile as I am! It's also great that you can tweak the least to suit your needs.

Almost perfect!. Elegant UI and design. All that remains are apple watch complications to allow interaction with the app to be most fluid and useful.
