New. Just getting started today but I do feel like this will be a great tool to understanding the word more! 🙌🏾

Just charge in the app store. I don’t understand why every single app we download these days has a subscription tied to it. Just charge for the app. It’s gimmicky and scammy. Most apps at least give you like one story/feature for free. You literally cannot do ANYTHING in this app for free.

Not Free. I was excited to listen to the Bible in a unique way after seeing a reel on Instagram about it. Well, in order to do anything, I have to pay. I’m not doing a three day trial for an expensive weekly subscription. The other payment plan is every three months. Disappointing and immediately deleted.

Doesn’t live up to hype!. I came to download the app because I seen videos of people on TikTok using it. Seeing multiple videos on it I wanted to experience it for myself. I was very excited. However, this is not a FREE APP you have to pay just to even read. I mean you can’t do anything on the app without paying. I would not recommend. I think this app is ridiculous. Trying to make money off of spreading the word of God!!

Expensive!. This seemed like an awesome way to get more connected with God’s word, but it is sooo expensive! $40 every 3 months 😬. I understand there are cost that go into making and support an app, but just a little excessive. Thankful for the free Bible app accessible to everyone!

I was excited for this and quickly disappointed.. Every single feature is behind a paywall. Why would you monetize the Bible in such a greedy manner. Still proud of you guys for this app existing and all the hard work but you know better and should be doing better if this is truly to push God’s kingdom forward and not be led by capitalism and money.

Good ideas, needs improvements. Love the idea but needs some changes and improvements. I would like for an option to go line by line in the Bible and I also don’t like how every stories goes “here’s what you need to know”. It gets annoying after a few episodes.

God is free. What is this?. I shouldn’t have to pay to listen to the Bible. I get it. Someone needs to make money off their creation. It’s very creative. But how do you get people who don’t know God at all and can’t understand what they’re reading hooked? This is the type of stuff Jesus would hate to come to. We’re supposed to be spreading the gospel but here we are charging people to listen to it? The Pharisees would be high giving each other at this! I feel like one story should be free every week or something. Jesus would be so hurt by this.

Not free. I was so excited to be able to listen to the Bible in a way I can understand and better yet it’s a free app, how amazing… I downloaded the app and went to discover all it had to offer. Come to find out, in order to do absolutely anything, you needed to pay for a bunch of expensive fees. Just disappointed I couldn’t listen to the Bible like this for free. At the end of the day, it’s about spreading the word of God to people all across the world and then to do what… ask customers to buy it for a pretty penny?

Lots of room for improvement. The stories are lacking in a lot of detail, it doesn’t cover every story in the Bible, and the price is honestly outrageous for what little substance you get. It’s also pretty repetitive, describing every main character as “built different.” I get it, it’s supposed to be modern and all, which I love, but switch it up a LITTLE. Also not a super fan of AI. If I wanted AI’s take on the Bible, I would ask ChatGPT.

Jesus For Profit. I have never installed and uninstalled a bible app so quickly. Everything is literally locked being a paywall. And I don’t care how cheap everyone thinks it is, growing ur faith and learning the word of good should be open and available to all. I’m quite disgusted how they advertise this app that has sooo much potential only for it to be a major scam and let down!

Paying to read a bible crazy.. I was very excited to download this app to better understand the Bible in my generation’s language and understanding. Opened the app filled out the questions only to find out you have to pay to listen and open a story….. As an upcoming Christian I find it crazy this app is charging to grow your knowledge and faith! Deleting immediately. Smh. Only put a star to be able to submit this.

Expensive, not what I thought it was. First, it is too expensive for what it is. There is not a lot of stories. I think this could be a great idea but it’s kind of annoying to listen too, it’s almost too tiktoky/gen z. It goes too fast for me personally. I can’t really grasp what they’re talking about. They use the same sayings every single story. I’m sad because it could have been great, I hope they improve it and make it more affordable.

it’s okay i guess. I paid about 80$ which I wasn’t upset with at first but learning there’s only a couple of stories is driving me insane because I finished them all and I’m still waiting for the “over 250 more stories” to come out before my subscription is up because I won’t be renewing, one of the other reasons being I can only listen to Raquel and Jenna’s voices which they lose them in the newer stories. Over I feel as though it’s to much for not enough stories

Expensive. Cool concept.I was really excited to try this and went through all the little questions in the beginning just to see that I had to pay for it and $6.99 per week is really expensive. Even doing $40 for three months isn’t a deal, especially in the times that we’re in. We’re trying to learn about more God here but unfortunately it’s gonna cost you. I think they should be more accessible.

Not helpful. It’s all just random stories. I wish it went in order of the Bible. It’s way too random and all over the place. Maybe in the future they’ll be able to group it together better and I’ll download again.

Amazing for anyone that struggles to pay attention. I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptically at first since it’s $40 every 3 months. But I’m so glad I got it! I want to strengthen my knowledge of the book but I struggle keeping focus. This compacts a story in a way that helps me better understand what’s going on. I also get a little chuckle out of the terminology they use 😂

Disappointed. I was really excited to download Bible BFF and loved the concept at first. The intro looked great, but as soon as you actually try to use it, you’re pushed into a subscription. Yes, it gives the option to try it, but the Bible should be free to read. Very disappointing, if the app became free I would redownload.

Why should I pay. I do not like that you can not listen to any of the stories. Without paying i love the idea of it but I do not like how you should have to pay to learn and grow your faith

Need Paid Subscription. Nothing on this app is unlocked or available to preview for free. Don’t bother downloading unless you want to pay the fees. I find it crazy to market something towards the younger generations in order to trick them into making a financial commitment , knowing that this same generation are the least financially stable. A bit expensive & formatted weirdly. I LOVE the idea of this app, but I think it would be cool to have the entirety of scripture in chronological order. Also soooooo so so expensive for a Bible app. Unfortunately cannot fit a $364 Bible into my budget for the year. 😭🤣

Can’t even listen without paying. I understand to keep things running money has to be involved somewhere. Bittersweet ... I downloaded this app because I seen it on Tik Tok. I am also going through a rough time and wanted to start having Bible study. I would have given 5 stars because I love the break down of each stories but there are some cons which resulted in 3 stars - Paying for a Bible app is CRAZY work. To charge 6.99 A WEEK..like hello? Are yall cool? Do yall not see the state of the economy? You want someone to pay $40 for 3 months and the rest of the Bible isn’t on the app? Either charge a one time fee or make the app free - Y’all need to bring Raquel back. Between her and Jenna, their voices are the only ones I can listen to. - Not sure what the hold up is, but add all the other stories especially if folks are paying $6.99 to $40. Like at this point it’s robbery. We paying and the work isn’t even done. I feel as though a story should be posted daily (since some folks pay weekly) or weekly. Overall, I think more people would download if it was F R E E and all the stories were uploaded. I will give it another month and if I don’t see any new chapters, I will cancel. I will ask ChatGPT to break the Bible down for me in Gen Z language for F R E E

Or at least donated a huge portion of this to charity. Because why charge so much if you’re really wanting to get people more interested in growing their faith. Shouldn’t be adding financial barriers to this. Smh not in this economy!! Bible in a Year podcast is free and is read by an actual Catholic priest who breaks down the stories and is excited to read to you AND pray for YOU. They also are taking donations to make it available in other languages for FREE. Spend your money elsewhere with people doing the actual Lord’s work.

Love it, wish there was more content. Let me start by saying while the cost was a bit high, I was more than ok to spend $60/year to hear Biblical stories in a more modern language. I bought the annual subscription, but was super disappointed to see there are so few stories. I listened to them all within 2 days. I see it says “over 250 bible stories coming soon!”, I am hoping it will be soon enough for me to be able to enjoy them with my annual subscription.

Love the concept but the app is majorly lacking. It’s a great concept, but I hate the layout. I thought it would be in the format of the Bible with the biblical text and then a break down of the story, that’s not the case it’s just the story retold in a modern way.. it doesn’t give you the actual text from the Bible passage just the book & chapter listed under the story. For anyone who wants actual depth in their Bible study this is not for you. Might be great for young Christian kids getting familiar with the Bible but the cost is pretty high for what you’re getting

This feels like chit chat with the girls.. I try to read my Bible and it’s so hard. I even got all the cute Bible study stuff like highlighters, cute pens , and cute stationary. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO HIGHLIGHT. But something about this app really works. It’s giving The Bible for Gen Z and I love it. The vocabulary used is great and keeps me engaged. It feels like a chit chat session with the girls and they are spilling MASSIVE amounts of tea. Who knew the Bible had so much DRAMA, and who knew Jesus was such a girls girl? He’s really out here for the women. Love this app.

Not free. There is no free version to try. They give you a 3 day trial then you have no access unless you subscribe monthly. Not worth it in my opinion. I miss the good ole days when you didn’t have to pay monthly to use apps… especially Bible apps

Won’t work on iPhone 11. I downloaded the app and it said just a few quick questions and it seems like my screen is too small to answer the questions. The bar to press is beyond where I can reach and the screen doesn’t move.

This is amazing for me!. I’m not going to lie and I will be honest when it comes to reading the Bible. I do my best to try to get into the word however I get distracted. I have a hard time understanding. What can I say? I’m stuck into modern ways. Sometimes it’s hard for me to be able to sit down being a busy mom as well to read my Bible. But this app has made it so easy for me to just clean the house and blast this loud and feel like wow this is so much easier to understand for me and break it down for me still go on reading my Bible to understand a little bit more detail helps break it down a lot more easier for me to understand. This is amazing and I think this is great for people who are. Trying to learn about God, trying to learn the stories, but have a hard and just need a more modern way or somebody to help you also understand the meaning story, the message behind it I know some people are mad because it’s and yes, I understand that could be frustrating However, I feel like if we could give $20 a month on ChatGPT, Netflix , DoorDash etc I feel like it is 100% worth every dollar to invest in learning the word of. Because I do feel like these so hard and dedicated so much time to teach us and help us and it does cost money to fund this app as well. There are probably other sources that’s free for others and that’s cool but to me this is worth every dollar and God is every penny God will give back away he always know money is big thing for us in this world times if we just trust god this is worth investment to learn the word of God to learn the stories and take a better with our faith ! Updated app and it’s no longer free. I absolutely understand needing to make money to operate, but they jacked up the price from FREE to $363 a year if you pay weekly. Love this app-BUT…. I love to listen to the Bible stories told so simple and in my language. The only complaint that I have is when it uses Gods name in vain- saying “oh my God” instead of saying oh my goodness or oh my gosh.

Annoying California girl explain the Bible. If you had an annoying bff California girl explain the Bible like your 5 years old is the most accurate description and the UI/UX is horrible. Hard paywall on anything. More A.I nonsense that misunderstanding very important bible verse.

Interesting, but too expensive. The concept is great; I enjoyed listening to a couple stories. For what the app is right now, it’s way too expensive. Also, there’s no episodes available without signing up for the 3 day trial. Having one episode free to try would probably entice more people. Adding some navigation features would also be helpful. If I want to listen to stories in chronological order, I have to scroll through the whole list to find the one I want. They are in no particular order. It’s not a user-friendly experience yet. Hopefully with time it will improve and I can update this review!

Will not let me cancel subscription or delete!. i’ve been trying over and over again to cancel my subscription to this app that claims it loves Jesus, but keeps stealing my money from me even when I go into the app, there’s not even a point where you can click into anything that lets you cancel your subscription or get your account. It’s a scam.

God is free, this app isn’t.. I was genuinely excited to download this app as I believed it would be a fun way to explore and learn about the Bible. However, I was very disappointed to discover that listening to the content requires a payment, which seems excessive for an educational tool focused on scripture. This app is aimed at promoting educational and spiritual growth and it should ideally be accessible to everyone.

“In app purchases”. This is misleading. The ENTIRE app costs money to use. This is a clever way of marketing but once you download the app you will realize you cannot even look around without agreeing to a paid subscription. Such a bummer as I was really looking forward to seeing what this app was about but that’s an immediate delete for me.

Ummm. Free trail with nonpayment due… except it charged me as soon as I hit start free trail. No sample of the stories unless you pay. I find is bazaar that many Bible apps charge to lead people to the word anyways… they need grant writers and other ways of funding the operation of the app because it’s in fact deterrence. The photos of the stories are also a lil off putting.

What I believe. This app honestly speaks face value. It’s honestly a very Gen Z way to get into the bible, and understand further what God is trying to say to us. But don’t just take my word for it download and give it a try for yourself!!

A $7 weekly charge is like actually crazy. $28/ month is biblical greed. Taking advantage of tiktok youth who just look at the small number not calculating they're going to pay $364/year for this app if they do the weekly charge. I don't have any subscription this expensive including other Bible apps which are free or a much more reasonable cost.

So good!. I love this app! Honestly I appreciate it.. but I only got to enjoy it for a short period of time cuz I can’t afford to but definitely worth if you can..

JESUS. I loveeeeee this app so much but, I had to delete it cuz I have to pay to use it?!!!! I think you should not have to pay to access a bible app your learning about Jesus not about if I should have a free 3 day trial or pay for months! Overall I think this is a great app!

Useless to get. I only gave it a five so people can see it but the app would be a five if you didn’t have to pay just to listen to someone to read the bible to you

So cute!. This is a great way to hear the basis of the stories. I wish they were in chronological order and didn’t skip any parts. But I’m sure this will come in the future!

Where’s the rest?. Great content, missing some information, but otherwise helps make sense of everything. WHERE’S THE REST OF THE STORIES?! Entire New Testament is uploaded, but ends with Ruth in the Old Testament. Will change to 5 star review once everything is completed.

Can’t do anything. I don’t know if it’s a different app that those TikTok users are using, but if you came from TikTok to try and download this app your mistaken because in this one, you literally can’t do anything without a subscription like paying for it and I think that it should be free because we’re trying to learn about Jesus and I feel like any type of religion apps should just be free

Disappointing. I love the idea of this and I feel like it’s very much helpful to lots of people, only thing is I wish that you didn’t have to pay to literally access anything. In today’s world everything needs a subscription but I would’ve assumed that the app that helps you learn about the Bible would have at least some free access.

Subscription?. I’m getting to that point in my life where as I wanna be getting closer to God and learn more about the Bible in more of an easy way and I know the economy is in a tough state, but there’s people who don’t have money for stuff like this. Just downloaded. I came across this TikTok. I tried to read the Bible all the time, but I don’t always understand it and hard to read sometimes, but this makes it easier so far so good. Wish you add bookmarks or favorites.

A FEE for a bible app?!?. For everything that is going on in the government, I was really expecting to have a nice Bible app. I found this real on Instagram and download the app. Try to use it. I can’t even use any bit of it without having to pay for it mind you I’m just trying to get closer to God and I have to pay and can’t even use one bit of it. One word to describe this. Disappointed.

Couldn’t access and storied without paying. I downloaded the app bc it was free and I was excited to start listening to the stories. Once I am in the app, everything I press it wants me to pay for it. I couldn’t listen to a single story. Very disappointed with the app. Why make it free if you can’t access ANYTHING without paying for it. Scam

Ok but not worth the money AT ALL. Why would one pay so much money to not even have access to the whole Bible? It's also buggy and skips some stories so then I have to open the app and figure out where I was because they won't all play in order. Even when you hit "play season" have the free trial but- will cancel.

Do not download unless you plan to spend 40$ mo subscription. I assumed this app would be similar to others that offer optional in-app purchases, but that wasn’t the case. Nearly everything I clicked on prompted a $40 subscription sign-up. There were no free trial stories or content available to explore without paying first. I ended up deleting the app shortly after downloading it.

It’s not free. The app states it’s free, but if you literally go onto the app you can’t click one thing without saying I need to purchase to use. It’s not a free app at all. You can say ohh inapp purchases, but even then you can use even the base model of the app without paying. I understand wanting to make some $$ but dang scamming and using the Lord as a cover….yikes

I haven’t even tried the app yet without THEM FORCING. I haven’t even tried them forcing me to pay them, are you serious? I have to pay $40 a month to read the Bible I can go buy a Bible for cheaper and you’re making me pay $40 a month to read the Bible like I can’t even do anything like I can’t even read the first story of the day without them being like free trial free trial without knowing I’m really broke

No way. I tried to play the Bible stories but they never were even to play … it keeps me stuck on home never lets me go discover or anything eles… and I Guess you have to pay!!! Ummm no way i am paying 7$ a week to hear the word when i have Bible that I don’t have to pay for … it is super glitchy. I think you should be like the other Bible app where you don’t have to pay😭

I was excited for this and quickly disappointed.. Every single feature is behind a paywall. Why would you monetize the Bible in such a greedy manner. Still proud of you guys for this app existing and all the hard work but you know better and should be doing better if this is truly to push God’s kingdom forward and not be led by capitalism and money.
