Pixel Pets - Cute, Widget, App App Reviews

Good but how?. I bought the premium version a little too hastily. I can even get the pets onto my island, can’t find any resources to help me with that either. Some help?

Some clarity would help. Compared to its competitor app Pixel Pals this app has a lot of options as well as a better price point that is a one time price point. Im not ready to buy the full capabilities of this app but I do like its potential and wanted to make a review nonetheless as well as provide feedback. So the widget didn’t immediately work, don’t know if I was doing something wrong it only gives me “long press the widget to edit” option which didnt provide me with the pet. Maybe thats a premium feature only but an indicator as to that would be nice. Also I’m not sure if the one time purchase of 10$ gives you everything. The reason why I’m not sure is because the yearly price point is 30$ and it does not indicate if the 10$ truly provides every option on the app so a little more transparency would be appreciated. As far as the features go they look good! A date and time of when you create a pet would be cool honestly keeping track of how long you’ve taken care or had the pet would be a nice feature. Its also a feature that the competitor app has so its something to think about. Anyway thats it, some clarity of pricing and widgets and a little new feature is my review. May check on this app again in the future.

can’t add pet to lock screen. i got this app to put a frog on my lock screen as advertised and i payed the $10 but there is no option to add to lock screen. i long pressed but the app does not show up as an option for lock screen widgets. their competitor app does show up as an option so it’s not my phone. i have a new phone with the most recent update so i’ve ruled out everything on my end, i believe it’s a problem with the app. i’m disappointed because that’s a lot of money to pay for something that’s not as advertised :(

Great!. I love that you don’t have to commit to a subscription! On the free version you get the choice between a cute cat 🐱or dog 🐶! So many features on free but buying the subscription is worth it!!!!!

Period. I mean to to do 3 but yea so basically the widget isn’t popping up even though I’m doing every step right so maybe try to fix that bug other than that it’s really fun! you get to feed a pet and play!!!

Love this game. This app is great no glitches though I wish all the pets were free, anyway I love how cute they all are my advice is get this app it is so cute watching them all play, enjoy.

Not Seeing Pack Purchase. I love this but I purchased the one time pack and it’s not recognizing that I have. I can’t access any of the foods or toys but my apple account shows I purchased it.

Why it is repo. It would save the widgets, but it wouldn’t save it like it wouldn’t let me put it on my widgets, but the pictures and animals were cute, but it was kind of weird how you can only get two pets if you didn’t have premium

Doesn’t work outside the app itself. I wish the entire point of the app functioned. The widgets don’t stay selected. Nothing is on the home bar. It only functions within the app itself. Buying premium didn’t do much but add more options for pets and times. Nothing made the app work like advertised.

It should be free. Honestly I was hoping there would be no premium, when I tried to add a widget it said to get premium and it was really annoying, point is don’t make people pay for something in a game.

Interesting. The app itself is cute, but it’s a bit buggy. Compared to pixels pals, I’d say that pixel pals is probably the better option. Especially if you don’t want bible quotes being thrown in your face every time you open the app.

I love this game. I love this game for two reasons 1. You guys give bible verses every single day, which I think is great🩷🫶🏽2. This game is SO SOo cuteeeee

New iPhone*. It's pretty cute so far and bought the subscription. The only thing is that I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the pets do not show up on the Dynamic Island. I'm hoping this is something that's fixed or else I'd fear it was a waste of money *Edit, for a few months I decided to keep it in hopes they'd update it but it still does not work as advertised on the new iPhone.

I want more. I really like the app everything has worked well with me but one thing I do wish is that they add the option to have more then just one pet on the bar.

Why I think this thing is weird but cute at the same time. This game does not have the full ability of the stuff that lets you be with the pet like you can’t play with it by tapping to make the ball move you just watch and you can’t pet the cat/dog era and the paying for the whole game is 10!! Now this is 1 of my two games and plz don’t ask why this game needs some updates

Honest review. When I downloaded the app I thought I would be able to add it to my Lock Screen and Home Screen. But I couldn’t. All these reviews are bots and are fake. You have to pay for everything, you can’t feed the pets and you can only choose between two animals. It’s a fun app to have but there is no point in having it if you can’t even add it to your screens. I am to be honest confused with the app.

So cute!. It’s super cute and the widgets make it even better, but I don’t like that it’s only the cat and dog that we can play with. You have to pay for other animals :/

If you wanna breathe, you have to get premium. First of all, I can’t even have a widget on my iPad unless I have premium and honestly I’m not wasting my money for that I’d like if you can have a widget for free because I got the game for widget so I would like if you can make it free because it’s not really fair and I know you’re just in it for the money play most of these people responding probably wanted the widget and wasted the money for premium here. I am not doing that. I’m saving my money for stuff. I literally want to go use.

Toys, Religious Quote. Dear the Pixel Pets team, I am emailing you with the intention of trying to better my experience with the app. I got the “Premium” purchase and enjoyed many things, but some things that I didn’t enjoy were the toys. For example, with the premium toys, it always say drag the butterfly back and forth, even if you aren’t playing with the butterfly, and also, I wish you would be able to play games like tug of war, and chase the tennis ball anywhere or stuff like that. Once again, I really enjoyed your app, but would really like these changed as well as being able to change or remove the quotes at the top when you open it. Also, being able to feed the pets directly from the Dynamic Island. Thank you for understanding,

I don’t know. This game is cute I all but no matter what, it won’t give you your purchases when you buy them. Plus the “ MUST TRY APP” review is creepy, their all the same review probably the same person just different account, don’t buy anything from this game, it’s just a scam.

Pixel pets. The pixel pets over all was a great idea but I wish for the iPhone users that the pet you choose would stay on the bottom bar all the time. It is really cute when you open the app I just wish it would stay there through out the whole day.

needs an option to turn off the bible verses. honest review: i paid for the full version after using for about a month to access the “grooming” toys hoping to unlock mini-games, but unfortunately many of the “toys” are sliders with instructions to slide the “butterfly” back and forth to “play.” you can make it look like you’re walking from one side of the screen to the other or playing tug-of-war but it’s not yet worth the price (it will be if and/or when the content creator updates) but it has potential as the cutest pixel pet app i’ve see so far. it’s relatively simple app, but i do really like it. the biggest cons are the inability to change the bible verses to other quotes or simply turn them off and the lack of tamagotchi like mini games or tap features. the ability to adjust the widget would be great, but the one option includes a clock (though i’m not sure why the chosen pet is located at the top and bottom of the time) will work for my layout. the biggest pros are in the apps simplicity, dynamic background, widget backgrounds, and base features: the one dog has been fun. thank you!

Cute Animals! ❤️. i didn't have any hard time managing Pixel Pets. If I need to edit the widgets,I can do it easily 👌 One of the best apps for iOS 16

Great!. I really love this game but there is one problem for me. I have more than one widget but only one shows. After writing this review I noticed a lot of them saying true stuff like having to pay for everything! We know you need to make money but please at least make the widgets free 🥲

Some little glitches. I like this app, it’s fun but not as fun as I thought it would be. I paid $10 for the premium and some things aren’t working. For example I chose my background to be the forest at night but it won’t let me go to night it just keeps me on day. Another example is that it won’t let me add more than one pixel pet on my Dynamic Island like it said I could (i was sad about that😕). Overall it’s fine but I’m really said I wasted my money just for it to be glitchy.

Unable to use widget(s).. I cannot use the widgets without being prompted to buy things, nor will the live action widgets work. I've an Iphone as intended and everything matches up, but I can't use anything. My cat only walks around the little bar at the bottom in-app and not outside other apps which is really disappointing. I wanted a cat to walk around on the little bar but it only does it in-app.

Cute game!!. I love this game! The only thing that I dont love is that there is only a few options to pick from for people who don’t want to buy anything. But over all it’s extremely cute and I love the way your little pet looks on your screen!

Weird religious indoctrination. I just wanted a cute pet widget on my phone, not to be brainwashed and spammed with religious messaging 24/7. Fine if you want some mention of it in your app description, but I don’t need constant bible verse quotes on the app home page. Rebrand and show that this is a bible verse app along with the cute pets.

Love verses. I love this app so much especially because of the Bible verses. This is a beautiful way to show and honor God. It makes me want to support this app even more! I love the holy bible app that was shown in the beginning. It def caught my attention.

Religious cash grab??. It’s cute but not worth it. No good for those who don’t participate in Christianity. It displays ‘verse of the day’ with religious quotes but dosent allow an option to turn off that feature. As someone with religious trauma this is extremely off putting even more so with a price put on the game to unlock majority of features. Such as widgets which was the whole point? There is no way to earn coins in this app. The only way to unlock widgets, pets, toys, backgrounds, etc is to pay.

Cool but. I really was so excited to download this w my new phone and i paid for the premium. But for some reason my pet will not show up on the dynamic island, right after i paid for it. I have the setting turned on and everything but im just not understanding why it was showing before i paid for it and now its not.

Fun, but…. It was honestly really cute and fun at first, you didn’t need to have the paid version of it to enjoy things like widgets and pet food, but once they updated it you needed to have the $6 a year subscription to do much of anything and I lost all progress I had with my pets. Good game! Just not for me.

Full purchase, left empty handed. I purchased the full version and have not been able to get the notification bar in Lock Screen or active pet on Dynamic Island outside of the app. Seems like this app isn’t all the way there and it’s very disappointing. You can’t make any widgets unless you purchase the full version 🙃🙃

The reason why I don’t like pixel pets. I have TikTok and I’ve been seeing pixel pets in other versions of it all over TikTok and this is the one that I saw it was the most viral when I clicked on it it showed me that you could have a little pixel pet that runs around on your phone plays eat and also is next to the charging bar but none of that has happened so far and I tweak with it and I played with it and I haven’t gotten anything to show up. It’s such a shame because I would love this game and I would’ve probably paid money if it was better because the Pixel Pets looks so cute and I wish it would’ve worked but that is why I think this app is a scam and that is why ImI do not really recommend downloading it because j feel like I was scammed and I would never want this to happend to anyone else bc I was super sad and I would absolutely hate this to happen again.

I hate it!. It terrible I can’t upload it and nothings working I had to go into the App Store to get in and it’s not working I’ve tried everything from restarting my phone to asking google but nothings happening over all I hate the app don’t use it and it’s a waste of storage and time. 😡😠🤬😾

Cute app but needs improvement. Love this idea but I would love the pets to be able to run around on the dynamic island when I’m not in the app. Also allow two pets to be shown in the dynamic island and for them to shown eating, sleeping dancing, crying instead of just showing the pets icon. Also I would like to be able to have two pet i cons on my lock screen and edit what Lock Screen widget would be one there. I have an iPhone 14 pro max and I can’t add a Lock Screen widget. Also showing the age of the pet and allowing 2 pets to interact when I’m in the app would be cool. Also adding sound effects of each animal when I’m playing, feeding them like cat sounds or dog sounds etc. Also when I hold down the dynamic island I would like to be able to feed, play with my pet from there Otherwise I’m liking the app so far

adorable! + ideas for the next update. its such a cute app and i love how its not subscription based (like truly, having a one time payment for features is amazing). its a simple layout and cute! some feedback: - having the option to change if its 24 hour or 12 hour time on widgets - having more ability to customise widgets or more pre-set options - having the lil guys move around when live activities is on (so move around on the dynamic island and lock screen) - more widgets with more than 1 character on them - a better system for a transparent background for widgets (the screenshot thing is fine but its fiddly and is never quite right) - the ability to have just the character on a widget (without the time or anything else) - i suppose also some more animal characters to choose from (though there is already plenty so im not fussed) i adore this app and am looking forward to future updates and such!
