Only good for history. I get on the app in the morning to review my data and the latest information is from 4 PM the previous day. There’s no way to update it so I can understand what the battery condition is after a night on the battery. On my phone, the chat app does not allow you to scroll through the chat smoothly. It is actually very difficult to scroll through the chat window history

What’s it saying?. The system seems to be producing well. My frustration is with the utilitybill. I have been on average billing for some time and have just about paid off my last winter extra usage. I am anticipating seeing smaller bills now but not sure that will happen. The utility bill takes an engineer to read and understand it. I almost think that’s the way they want it. I honestly have to just trust that I did the right thing because I can’t see it in my billing. If there is a tutorial on reading the bills produced by my power company in Colorado I for one would read it.

Sleeker, but doesn’t have comparison chart.. The app looks 100x better and is user friendly. However, the thing I liked most about the old app was being able to see how much energy the system generated versus usage. Now you have to view those on two different pages. I’d think it a relatively simple add, but until then I kept the old app.

Improved Interface but Data Discrepancies. In the previous app (mySunrun), there's a discrepancy in production data between the old and new versions. For instance, yesterday's production in the old app shows 53 kWh, while in the new app, it's 54.6 kWh. When totaling this year's production, there's a difference of over 200 kWh. However, I appreciate the addition of today's production feature, which wasn't available in the old app. the new app is much easier to use compared to the old one.

Saves me money. I’ve been very pleased knowing that much of my electricity is from a source that doesn’t deplete anything from the earth. I’m glad I made that phone call five years ago and accepted their offer to install solar panels on my roof. They’re very easy to live with and have caused no problems. This past winter was the first where snow froze and stuck to parts of the panels for several days. I think it was from the kind of weather we had. Usually it falls right off. Overall very pleased with it. I also like that I can check on the app to see the record of energy generated. Makes me feel good.

Really Like This Sunrun App. One year after moving into our purchased home with a now four year-installed 36 panel Sunrun solar system, I really like and appreciate this app! It encourages me to keep the panels rinsed…so fun to watch the sun crank up the electricity. I like helping the environment and being a power baron! Thanks Sunrun!!

Much better. The app has been updated. It is much better than it was before. It has a better breakdown of production and the layout is good. I wish I could see individual panel production but I guess that’s not possible. Or is it?

Meh. I’m not really impressed with this app. I was using another app to monitor my solar data. I found that app more user friendly and intuitive. The presentation there was easier on the eyes and more eye- catching. The colors, fonts, and general presentation here are woefully lacking. The customer service has been a tad disappointing. In truth, I don’t even check on the app as much as I did the other, not only because of presentation, but because it doesn’t give me real time info, which is what I need.

Excellent solar system option. SunRun has been a pleasure to work with, throughout the six month sales, installation and activation processes. They kept us informed every step of the way. The longest waiting periods came from my HOA and Xcel Energy’s inspections. I love the app that shows how much energy our panels produce on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis, and I especially love the credit on my energy bill, knowing our roof panels are producing more energy than we are using. We really appreciated the various payment options available to us as homeowners too.

Why??. Why couldn’t Sunrun just update their old app instead of creating a whole new one? Creates more confusion and distress for customers yet Sunrun will say “we’re son glad you’re happy” even though it’s clear that customers ARE NOT HAPPY. Just reading the other reviews & seeing the low stars show that they don’t care what you have to say they will continue to believe they are doing a great job when they are not. So again why did Sunrun make us customer go through the pain of downloading a whollynew app and ignore the content of the comments? The blatant disregard of customer’s complaints being spun into self gratification is sickening. It’s one big scam from the moment they knock on your door for high pressure sales tactics, the agonizing process of the addition of solar service to this new app. Hello? Can you hear us now? Personal think there’s a huge disconnection. Why should we have to email them in addition to our clear communication in our comments? Waste of our time & energy just escalating every step. Why don’t they just listen the first time & go back to the old app & fix that?!?!?!

At least 30 day wait for service. Customers must monitor their system. Without our being aware our system has been out for nearly three months for the second time since it was installed. Recent service 9/30 lasted one day before system went down again. Then another month wait for another service visit. And it’s always a blown fuse, but no explanation for why it happens. Also, we still have the communication error in the app. Sunrun remains a great value WHEN IT WORKS. UPDATE: The third service call did the trick. Our system is now ready for the reduced sun and snow covered panels that happen during the winter months, having missed three months of sunshine. Sunrun is great when it works, but getting effective service is frustrating.

Data is Kept Citrent. This the second year we have used the app. Very easy to use. I like to see daily usage at a glance and there are options to see extended usage over time with an a superimposed target line. Very simple to pay monthly charges. Through the app you can easily engage support staff and yes they are responsive. All in all, very pleased using the SUNRUN app. You don’t have to be a digital geek to get excellent results.

Simply an outstanding company.. From initial meeting until this moment Freedom Solar employees in every category have performed at the highest level. The system is producing power at or above projections. I could not be more satisfied. If you have been considering going solar contact Freedom now.

Money in the bank. My whole experience went very design permits new roof extra panels they even did extras like close in vents and skylights no longer needed no mess in and out one day amazing very professional contractors. They lowered my payment new roof and I’m building credits on my bill like watching money grow in my bank what more coul u ask for !

App does what it says and very little else. The app is pretty simple and there’s really only so much information you need. However I was under the impression I would be able to see more specific information regarding the performance of your system . I had expected to at least see a general performance of the panels or at least groups of panels so I could see if there were any malfunctioning or sub optimal performers. Instead there is just a simple total daily performance with very little information of any value. It is a little glitchy from time to time, but there’s not really anything valuable that is an emergency to be able to see.

Almost four stars. My personal preference is for the previous version of the app. This newest version is capable of displaying the same data as before, but it seems like it takes more steps to get to the information that I’m interested in. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

Please FIX the app!!. The app been working fine for over 18 months and with all the recent updates, it started malfunctioning. First, it stopped recording and showing what our solar panels are generating and now it’s show “estimates” instead of actual energy generated. Then the lovely ! TRIANGLE shows up. Who do we contact to get this FIXED!!! Also, please hire individuals that understand how to develop apps that actual works. Customers are not your quality control who should be reporting and writing these reviews to FIX the problems with the APP..

Best decision regarding solar. Excellent installation, minimal maintenance required, half of the time they knock on the door to tell me that they are going to work on the roof when I didn’t even know I had an issue. They fixed the issue and said goodbye when they were done. I have the solar for over ten years and am very pleased with my decision and their customer support.

Updating auto pay. Patty was so helpful in setting me up with auto pay. She was calm with me because I’m old and she was able to help me step by step in having me go online to take care of that. I really appreciate Patty. She was very patient with me 1000%.

why you should have the app. i have had the app since placing solar panels on my roof. the app provides information regarding the function of the system, whether it is working properly. it shows me how much solar energy I am producing on a hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly time frame. without the app i have no idea what is occurring with my solar system.

Great app, small bug. I love checking out my home solar production while I’m at the office. Sometimes I’ll view the daily graph and scroll back a few days. I always get the graph, but I do not always get the scale on the left to say what the graph means. It’s flaky, so I can’t chalk it up to “restricted feature”. Some times it even happens for the current day. Looking forward to a bug fix and to keep tracking my production for years to come!

Good overall but can improve on page loading speed. Overall app provides info I need in clear view, only item can be improved is page loading speed, took 10+ secs to load monthly page which is a bit slow

Adds value with a few quality issues. Every apps has quirks. The sound issue I’d appreciate seeing fixed. I’ve noticed when I’m listening to the radio (Bloomberg radio via Apple music) and I open the Sunrun app it stops playing the feed. When you have apps with audio capabilities it’s not uncommon for opening one stops playing the other. This app has no audio to play (unless I’m missing something) so it would be great to see this quirk fixed. I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max. I like the clean and simple interface. While stated it took me some time to learn how its estimated, not exact but it’s great to see the different weather and learn (even if estimated) how the seasons and weather impact the numbers. Thank you.

App is good Product is not. Ever since we had our 2nd system ( with the Tesla battery) it has not been good. When they installed, our AC exploded ( then we needed new one), they cut electrical wires supplying electricity to our kitchen. As a result of that, 3different technicians came out to try and solve the issue. Even though our power supply generated was greater than our. Demand/usage, we are getting bills from SCE. It all doesn’t make sense! Since we started the SunRun unit,at least ( if not more often), we have had problems every other month. If a SunRun salesperson approaches you, RUN the other way. Great sales pitch, the company is not good on their delivery of a reliable product.

Failure to provide data. I’ve had solar power for 10 years. There has been no interruption in the data sent to me daily about how much solar energy my solar collectors are capturing. It was routine until three days ago. The updates were frequent and accurate. I depend upon them and now they are not available. The software shows 0 kW I’m unhappy please help to fix this. I called and spoke to a representative who suggested that recent updates. Had been made to the software I was told to delete the old version and download the new offering. It doesn’t work I’m unhappy it should work otherwise I could be charged any amount for any amount of solar energy, correct or incorrect please fix this

Worth the wait. Finally! Great job guys. This is beautiful. Finally get to see estimated KW generated during the day. We don’t have to wait until the next day to find out. We have been waiting for this for a while. Simple and clean UI. Still super easy to use.

Much better than the previous app. The new SunRun app is much improved over the prior one. It’s closer to real time and provides hourly and daily production results. However there could still be improvements. There is no information available on individual panel production, just overall system performance. Also, the app doesn’t monitor usage so there is no way to know if more energy is being used than generated.

Needs alerts. Lack of alerts cost me over $2500 in lost energy, payments for a system that was not functional and company waits months to call/email you to let you know. On top of that when they do they don’t make it seem important or urgent, it’s written off as a communication issue with your system. The apps basic function should be alerts and monitoring and it is an epic fail on this

Consolidate contracts into 1 summary. The app is very informative. I like seeing the breakdown of where electricity use is coming from and where electricity production goes. I have 2 contracts. One from 8 years ago which is only panels and a new contract with additional panels/battery. I would like to see the stats from both combined. Also, the number of batteries listed is incorrect. There should be 3 batteries but it displays 2.

Basic info is available. I rec’d an email that says “Meet Target Zone Your Target Zone shows an expected normal range of production for your system based on its design and seasonality of solar production. See your new Target Zone report now in app. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version to get the best performance and newest features.” My app shows it’s up to date but I don’t see anything about a Target Zone. What am I missing?

Good app, would like to see some additional features.. Good app. Slow to load the data at times. I believe it refreshes the new data every 15 mins. I wish they would have carried over from the old app the % of clouds. I also wish you could put in your billing cycle from your energy supplier and be able to pull up that data. It allows day, week, month and year. Having the ability to add custom report for your billing cycle would help us understand what was produced. But, other wise it is a useful app.

Solar App Happiness. This far I have been so happy that we switched to solar energy via SunRun. Part of that happiness is due to the fact that I can receive charts about my energy usage at any time and know how my decision is working. I don’t find it helpful to use the app for emails, but aside from that facet, I am very happy.

MUCH improved. Thank you for updating the app. This revision seems to be easier to navigate & provides real-time data, unlike the previous version. It also seem to be more stable. It hasn’t required me (yet) to go thru the first time logon as the previous version often did. That was very frustrating time after time. Thank you for listening and acting! Pat Seckler

Worthless. This app looks pretty but it’s data is sadly lacking. I thought the old app was bad, this is worse. All the numbers are rounded off except the current day making accuracy next to impossible. No way to get a downloadable file. The only improvement was being able to see what’s going on in real time. Don’t disable the old app!!!! The daily production never added up to the monthly bill and now you’ve made tracking production worthless.

No Custom Date Range Selection in the App. eview: The app only allows selecting periods such as week, month, or year, but does not offer the option to choose a custom date range. This limits flexibility when reviewing data for specific dates. It would be ideal to include the ability to select an exact date range based on the user’s needs.

Exceptional. Using this app has made life just a little more easier. From checking on battery storage and electricity being used. I can manage our day better if I wanted to bring usage down or if we have enough for family movie night. It’s just fun to see how much we use and how much it makes. Definitely recommend the SunRun app.!

Dishonest. The representative lied about how much I was gonna make and that it would pay for my lease and that’s not the case whatsoever even though I’m hardly home and I sent about 600 kW a month to the grid and I only use about 80 and I still have a bill. I’ve tried Customer Care multiple times with system errors and try to explain how everything was just a lie. i’ve tried to reach out to the Ceo Sun Run, but of course they won’t deal with our issues or concerns.. I want out of my lease

App.. Chart shows generated power by day/ week/month and year as well as comparative years, all which gives homeowner a good idea of what the system is doing. Wish the generation time coincided with my provider’s monthly consumption for better tracking.

BEST EXPERIENCE!. The app has been a great experience! I can get a hold of support in under a minute, find all my docs for my accountant and see daily/weekly/monthly production without having to log into the equipment manufacturer website

Arbitrary Lockout of Paid Equipment / Preparing for Class Action Lawsuit. I am extremely disappointed and outraged by the recent actions taken by Sunrun and SolarEdge. For the past few weeks, they have arbitrarily restricted access to my own system settings through the SolarEdge app. I can no longer adjust my battery modes (such as Max Self-Consumption) or modify the Backup Reserve percentage. It is now completely frozen at a 100% Backup Reserve, leaving 0% for daily usage. When attempting to manage my system, as I have always done to prepare for weather events or optimize the bill, a pop-up now states that I "do not have permission" to perform this operation. This forced restriction is directly affecting the household finances. My solar production used to comfortably exceed my consumption. Now, because the battery is locked and forced to feed the grid while I am forced to buy power back at a higher rate, my consumption is matching my production. This is completely unacceptable for a service and equipment I am paying for. Restricting a consumer’s ability to manage their own energy independent of the grid constitutes a breach of service and unfair business practices. I am currently in contact with other affected users and legal counsel to evaluate filing a formal Class Action Lawsuit against Sunrun and SolarEdge for consumer fraud and breach of contract if our administrative permissions and access to our equipment are not fully restored immediately. I don’t know what kind of “agreement” you guys may have with LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico, but stop it NOW. Give us back control of the equipment we are paying for. This is a scam.

Need a major UI update. This app is good but definitely needs a major UI update. It seems outdated the pictures and texts look outdated as well. It’s not crisp. It’s not current to like other apps. I hope you guys see this and updated ASAP. Then I will give you guys a full five stars until then there will be a low rating until something is done to update the app to make it look a lot fresher and newer it feels like it’s stuck in 1995.

Good enough. The app is easy to use, not hard to understand, and is quite simple. It has all that you need, and not much else. It doesn’t update until 9:00 pm, which might be a panel issue, so I’m not going to blame it on the app. Because of its simplicity, I’m giving it 5 stars.

Review of recent interaction with SUNRUN. First, I appreciate your support in restoring my system. However, I was surprised by the lack of knowledge your screener and live-chat persons displayed. I encourage management review both of those encounters in order to better prepare them to pay attention to what your customers are experiencing. Examples: Chat person emailed me instructions to “recycle” my system to restore the “green” led on my inverter. I never said the green LED was off. Donney, challenged me when I told her I was able to monitor production hourly. My intent is to improve understanding between your employees and customers.

Improved and Fixed. Edit: This issue is resolved and the app is usable again, thank you! A recent change set the app to match device text size settings without scaling the rest of the app. The result is an unusable app because all the information runs off the screen. Who asked for this? Change it back. So bad for our country!

seeing the estimate production. if the app is 90% correct and reflected exactly what my solar panels produce then it is deserved 4 stars . However someone needs to call and ask the customers if they have any question instead of signed them up the left them in the dark just like californian people do. please have escalated service manager to call us to answer our questions about how and use the energy generated from our system more efficiently. Mr Campo supposed to call 2 weeks ago as his email stated but never did. We felt cheated and left in the dark with no customer support

Track your solar usage. This app is great! I check it daily to see how my solar is doing, more importantly how much am I using. At night I monitor my battery usage, and check it again in the morning. Also, I check my daily weekly and monthly usage vs production. This is beneficial to keep us on track for little or no true-up at end of period.

Very Pleased. The entire process starting with meeting with Kyle a year ago and then he came back this year and seal the deal, working with the installation crew and coordinating with the Project manager and customer service, has been great. The app is very easy to navigate through. Very please to had made the decision to go solar with Sunrun.

Helpful power generation tracking. The application show how much power the solar system is producing but the charts would be more helpful if I could see hour by hour the wholesale cost of electricity and be able to enter my fixed contract charge and delivery charge. Not showing actual cost and surplus charges leaves the user at an informational deficit.

Mixed Review. App is nice overall but I have indicator saying there are 12 messages on the App but no way of getting to them. Very nice to be able to see what you generate each month and compare to previous months and years.

Great improvements. I’ve been a sunrun customer since 2021 and their app has come a long way. Much more versatility and data comparison. Keep going sunrun!

Visually pleasing. I really like the layout of this new SunRun app. It displays all the data and a really nice way where it’s super easy to understand. I also like the fact that I can get in touch with a live agent through the app.

Poor App for Detailed Analysis of One’s System. This app is horrible when compared to the legacy app. Users cannot view detailed graphs and only get a single summary of what their system produced. And if you have a battery, good luck seeing how your battery is performing with the system! One cannot even tell that one has a battery with this app. The Tesla app (for those with a Powerwall) is orders of magnitude better than this Sunrun app.

Excellent service. Sunrun fixed my faulty system and now it is working very well. I like to be able to check the stats on the app and feel good about the fossil fuel energy I’m saving.

App Ease of use. I have found this app very helpful in allowing me to keep an eye on daily energy values. I’m aware that certain numbers are estimates but when I’ve checked further they are very accurate. I would recommend this app without hesitation. Matt

Best Solar + Battery company. I’ve been a SunRun Customer for three years now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the performance of the system and the functionality of the app.

New to Solar. We just purchased an 1,800 SF home in Sonoma County with a SunRun system. We are new to solar and find the general features of the system app very useful. It would be helpful to be able to view information about individual panels but overall very satisfied.

Just give me solar edge access. This is embarrassing for your app devs, somehow you made a completely new app that visually looks better than the old app, but lacks all the information from the old app. I can only see my production & not my usage anymore. I just want real time monitoring give me access to my OWNED equipment. I should be able to access SolarEdge as it is my own equipment & not leased from sunrun…

Transparency. This app is very transparent and easy as far as functionality goes. I can easily check the health and productivity of my panels and compare how I’m doing month to month.

Could have been better. I tried to get sun run out several times to expand our system, but they declined, so we went with Enphase system and are happy we did. Now Sun Run calls to see if they can expand. To late.

Good but was better. You got rid of a feather that made this app much better. A few months ago I was able to click on a link that would take me back one day at a time to see the total kWh for the day as a numerical value like 12.9 kWh.

The Bomb. I love the fact that I can see how much energy my system is producing, sending to the grid, and my household is using. Feels like I’m making a difference.

The app works fine if and only if you can get the solar panels to work!. The solar panels stopped working for the second time and I had to report it again! In the age of AI, this is totally unacceptable!!!

Rate the APP. This app should have been installed years ago! Now, gotta get our PV panels updated and running at 24/24. Right now we have 16 optimizers functioning with 21 panels. Waiting to see how much will SunRun will reimburse us for not running at 100%. From Camp Maui, Kokomo.

The new app. This app is a vast improvement to the old one. We love that we don’t have to wait a day to see how much power our panels are generating. We check it every day and feel great that we are saving on our electricity.

Great improvement!. This is much better than the old app that was just a shell for an embedded web browser, this actually functions the way an app should!

New and Old. I never had the ability to monitor my old solar panels and new solar panels with 2 batteries. It seems my older 19 panels produce less than half of my new solar panels. I don’t know if this shows a problem with the older panels.

Great App. I always know where I stand on energy renewal and can see if I have a problem with the system. I definitely keep a eye on this

Intuitive and easy!. I have found the SUNRUN app easy to use, intuitive, and informative. I can see at a glance what my production is/has been and whether there is an operational issue. Does what I need!

Love this app.. It’s great being able to track how much energy I’m generating. I like how fast the app is able to load the data when I open it.

Ease of use. User friendly! Extremely informative and accurate numbers being shown.

Needs Improvement. I’ve seen other company’s apps and this one is no where near the caliber of those ones. The older version is still better. It tracks production status as well as tells you when you start to draw from the grid. That information is key to manage your consumption behavior. Sunrun, you really need to up your game!

Works great. Works great. If you have multiple accounts do not tap on “Account info” to change accounts, it is in the menu above where your name is.

Happy with Sunrun. The app works well and provides a lot of the information that we want to know. If possible please add a calculation to show the consumption at our house and how much energy is sent to the grid.

Energy Source!. If you are fortunate to have solar panels, it is wise to monitor their outputs. Compare over time and also see that they are clean for maximum generation. Dirty panels are common and are responsible for poor performance.

Love my solar panels. Sun Run solar panels are the best thing I did for my home. Most of the year I get a credit from my electric company. I would recommend your specific company to everyone who wants to save money.

How we beat the electric bill. I still do not understand why Sun City still has many homes without solar power. Awful waste of sunshine!

Where is all the data?. I have a system that also includes a battery back up system. The fact I can’t see any battery data or panel level information on this app is very disappointing. If I’m forced to use this app, I expect to be able to monitor the health of the system myself since I did after all pay for it. This app needs feature parity to at least the mySolarEdge app, which I cannot get access to through Sunrun.

Almost everything you could want and functions. Would love to have more features but for what it does it works

SUNRUN App a Must!. Fantastic app and allows you to track your solar generation and better prepare for financial impact on your energy bills. The charts are fun to watch and the billing info and other menus are very informative!

Terrible app. This app is only useful if you want to know what your estimated system production is based on yesterday. It is never real time or even remotely close. It tells you your system is running normal even when your batteries haven’t charged properly in months. But then again, when my system stops working correctly at least once every 9-12 months I guess an ill functioning app is expected.

App is pretty but close to useless.. This app is close to useless. Its reporting of daily home energy usage is completely wrong. It’s like a random number generator. Its reporting of solar system energy generation, operates in fits and starts, sometimes correct, sometimes not. And this is after several back and forth sessions with Customer Service. “We’re working on it.”

My solar. I love my sunrun system so Much !! I live in Massachusetts and my solar system generates me 15-20% more than promised my sales rep went above and beyond and my only regret was that I Didn’t do this sooner !

Nearly worthless. I’ve had 2 separate times where an inverter went bad with the equipment. Each time our power bill shot up, and the app still said our system was healthy. Each time this has cost me close to $1000 in power bills. And even though I discovered the issue, NOT Sunrun, and it was out of my control, I still didn’t get credited for down time with the system.

So disappointed with the new app. Why take away the ability to see year over year comparisons on the same graph? This is good for gauging is efficiency of your system is degrading - for example a sign you need to wash panels. The new app is slick - looks like it was put together by the marketing team. The old app looked like it was put together by the engineering team. Wasn’t as pretty, sure, but gave a more info. :-/

Monitoring. I love being able to see how much power my system makes each day

Solar savings. Going solar has been great… especially with the electric bill. Just wish we could track how much energy we use daily on this app and not rely on the local company to provide that info.

Great solar company. These guys are great. Customer service is amazing. Quality of project and service is amazing. The app could be a little bit better little more detailed or user-friendly but other than that recommendation is an A+ plus.

Power App without usage. App is great for seeing how much solar your system generates, but doesn’t show how much is being used by the home or being sent back to the grid. A more valuable app would represent the solar panels generated power as well as how much the home is utilizing to be effective.

Sunrun For The Win!!!. If you want to make clean power, and save. Sunrun is the way. As a customer I couldn’t be happier with my energy costs savings. Also my Sunrun App,allows me to check my Kph. And chart my energy created.

Better but still room for improvement…. The app has definitely improved but there is still room for improvement. It would be nice to have real time data feedback.

Sunny days. I love monitoring my panels input even in the winter where some of my back panels are still covered with snow. I’m happy to be using less fossil fuels thereby helping reduce fossil fuel use. I love reviewing my charts and seeing the sun’s power at work! Let the sun shine!!☀️

Useful. Efficient way to check on both usage and patterns to better utilize the electricity good timelines showing when peaks go on and off, which could be traced back to specific activities. Very helpful.

Long Time to Turn On. It sure took a long time before it was finally activated, but the saving since have been really great, I should be getting a nice check from Edson next month!

Solid app / solid system. Thank goodness for this system. Saving us money and with all of the power outages, the battery saves us a lot of frustration

Great App. SunRun app allows tracking of all data, documents, billing, etc. Really great to be able to track usage vs production on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Super helpful
