Good app. Works better than i thought. After reading some reviews I was hesitant to get it but being it was so much less than the go pro remote I gave it a try. U have to research the gopro wifi password online but after that its great.

Waste of money. Great idea but I spent 1.99 for nothing. Wish I could get it back. It turns the power on/off and will start to record/stop video...that's it. It recognizes my gopro as a 2 and not a 3 which is what it is. The preview, which was the reason I bought this, toggles between off/on all by it self. Very disappointed.

goPro control. Works as specified with my Hero 2 after some work syncing with camera and back pack. live preview helpful, but live video streaming would be most desirable.

Crappola for the Hero+ & is Ripoff. BS ripoff. It sounds like it works with any GoPro, but only works with Hero 4, though it says you can “force” Hero 3. Thanks for the internet-highway-robbery.

White 3 and iPod 3. This app works great for me considering the official app needs a higher software than my iPod can get. Has not crashed yet. Could get rid of unavailable options in menu such as the 60fps when 1080p is selected. Also the other frame rates automatically switch to pal mode which could cause people problems.

4 stars for some feature, 2 stars for others.... I needed to find an GoPro Hero 3 app that was more simpler and offered the ability to turn off the "preview" sound on start up. I found this app and it works fine as long as you stay on the main tab or settings. But once you click on the "Preview" tab, that's when bad things happen. What strange is that it says it's "Starting Preview…" even though the toggle nob is in the "off" position. Shouldn't you "Start preview" after I move the toggle button to the on position? That's needs to be updated. Also, the stability of the "preview" is worse than the GoPro App. What I mean is the "preview" tab gets stuck in a loop forces you to force quit the app and reopen it. If you manage to view a preview it will skip and judder in a loop until it finally locks up. Be aware that I did not get this app for the preview feature. In fact, I was looking for an app that: 1) Worked with Hero 3 (check) 2) Didn't have a preview feature on the main page (check) 3) Had the ability to turn off sound reception on the preview mode so I can avoid the "feedback" problem (Not offered; neither does the GoPro App either) 4) Bigger buttons on the main tab so I can press them easier than the tiny buttons on the GoPro App (check) All in all, I'm fine with the purchase. I just hope updates are offered. I'll keep using it until GoPro updates theirs better than the main tab of this one. Oh, and I also noticed that sometimes the "fps" settings didn't work. I had to change the 720p to 1080p, and then back to 720p before I was able to get the 60fps to switch to 30fps. What I think is happening is that it really is changing the frames per second, but it's not registering on screen until you change the video resolution. Bug?

Pay attention, don't buy this app!. Well, I should have paid better attention to this one. It looked like the GoPro app but now I know it isn't! And it doesn't connect either. So, I just got burned for 2 bucks. To bad there's no way to get a refund on apps!

Crashes a lot. Works ok, the only complains I have it doesn't allow you to view videos/photos on iPhone. Also crashes a lot.

Would be nice if it actually worked. I paid for and installed this app. The first time I tried to connect to my camera, it worked great and everything functioned. That was the only time it actually connected to my camera. Now it just shows the "connecting" screen and will not proceed. Why is it so hard to find an app that actually works with these cameras?

RIP OFF!!!. Opens for a split second then crashes. Ban the idiot that made this.

Waste of money. It doesn't connect even though I tried all instructions. NOT impressed yet, at least it was only $2.08 wasted! It should be easier to sync up and use. Not even able to open to see if on line tech support is available. Guys, make it more user (you know, the guys with the money and reviews) friendly or money back. ( which seems not to be an option. :-(

Go home. Worst app ever!!! Freezes at set up, freezes at preview, horrible lag at preview mode. I mean who has time to for that when one is into the moment? Wish I saw the official gopro app, which is free. Go to gopro website to download their free app!!!

Waste of money!!. Wow, this app is a total waste. Start app and there is a connect button and button for GoPro 4 and a slider for force 3+. No instruction and never recognized my cam. Tried several things but no instructions and does not work. I tried accessing thru setting but nothing there on wifi or Bluetooth. What a waste!!!

Works great. Dowloaded app ver 3.02 onto iPod touch4 with iOS 6.1.6. I was able to control my Hero 4 Silver camera with version 02.00.00 firmware. All latest versions as of 5/15/2015. Remote control recording worked, Remote viewing of video worked,. Remote change of various settings worked. Remote review of number of files and deletion of files worked. Getting the camera and app paired and knowing how to set the camera to WiFi ON and set the iPod/iPhone to connect to the GoPro Network is crucial, and a little vague; but the instructions make sense. You also need to know that the phone may lose connection to the gopro when the gopro wifi mode is turned off and back on. Then you have to reconnect the iPhone to the GoPro wifi if it doesn't do it automatically. This is outside of the app function. I suspect that 1 star feedback users did not know these things. I recommend this app for folks who can not download the GoPro manufacturer's app because it isn't compatible with apple devices running older than iOS 7.0

Works Great. Works great with iPhone 5. No connection problems with Hero3 black. Much easier up control camera and change most common settings with app than with camera menu (especially when camera is already mounted. Watching live video feed is an unexpected bonus for aiming camera and watching live feed via camera's wifi.

Not quite there, & a LONG way to go.. Perhaps GoPro should take a little blame here too. By far this camera is the biggest piece of garbage I've EVER purchased. Truth be told....this app may be ok, the HERO 3 Black is NOT! What a joke. The app would be awesome if it actually worked AT ALL. This app's got more bugs than a low income apartment building in July. Feel like I need to take my phone to Vex-con, & Billy the exterminator for help. Someone seriously dropped the ball here, & there really is little excuse for it considering the fact that they're charging money for it. Horrible lag, constant loss of Wi-Fi connection, switches on/off on its own, preview is barely mediocre on its best day, Etc. I honestly have nothing good to say at all, as of yet. We'll see what the creators come up with in the future. Only one update this far in over a week, Ha! I won't be holding my breath. :-( Latest update:::: (Option to change to the Wi-Fi RC) Seems like the very least of things needing attention here, But.....that's one good thing, hopefully it works.

Gopro Hero3 Silver. It works great, linked,loaded, preview and settings. I'm using a Hero3 Silver on my Gen 3 Ipod Touch ISO 5.1 I'm very happy, I didn't have to upgrade my hardware. I can't view recorded clips, but I setup the camera,preview to check the camera aim. Remote control works perfect. Well worth $1.99

Waste of time. Lacks basic everything. Think the developers rushed to put this out without thinking it through. 1- taking photos- if u are previewing live, then u can't take a photo. Most people want to see what they are taking pics of ( hense live previewing) 2- video freezing while recording in live viewing 9/10 times. The 1 positive is that there is very little lag between gopro and app. Pointless tho because no recording functions work correctly with this benefit. dont buy, even if free

Avoid. If default wifi password on your GoPro isnt the same anymore the app sh#ts itself and wont go past the loading screen. Avoid.

Hero app. I downloaded app on iPhone .switch for preview is to low under bottom bar had to load on iPad which you can barely see it Please move switch up

awesome cam. I have both the 3+ and the best model they make and I find it extremely fun and entertaining...It"s made for mostly fast action, extreme sports however I use it for everything basically...I often have both running simultaniously, I don't work my family's very well off so if I'm not racing cars or skiing in Squaw Valley Lake Tahoe Kirkwood bowl, then I simply chill around my pool at home in D.D.O, Qc, Canada!
