Lacks functionality.. I love the app and how well it works on my iPad. It takes advantage of the fingerprint security function and the interface is elegant and intuitive. My only gripe is the lack of functionality. If i want to transfer money from my flexi loan to my savings account, the app wont allow it. Transferring money through PayAnyone has similarly been deactivated. If I want to do these things, i need to log on to the Westpac site.

Best Banking App. Out of all the bank apps I use, this one is the best by far. Has everything that you need to pay bills, transfer money and apply for loans and credit cards. Super easy to find your way around and loads up fast and you can move from one account to another with ease. It's rarely ever down... I mean hardly ever in years of use. I've travelled overseas and it's great to have on your phone or iPad.

Out of order. Why can't Westpac give us a reason that this app simply doesn't work? We have been continuously locked out of our banking by this app when using the correct data to login. The app then tells one to call a phone number where the rep asks you for all of your bank accounts. How can one possibly know them when you are locked out and overseas so that your statements are unavailable. We then call our branch and get a message promising to call us back within four hours. It has been 48 hours and no call has been forthcoming.

Using outside of Australia. I use this app for my banking needs from the states. Very good. No worries! Makes it really easy. Obviously they've taken a lot of care in putting this app together.

home screen can be better. i find the app, once i have signed in to be very clear and precise. the home screen, before you sign in is too cluttered for me, with branding, menus, and useful but slightly hidden functions. i think westpac could make the start of this app better, given the quality of the app after you sign in. i am giving a 4 star rating because there is always room for improvement, especially as iOS itself improves, but this in no way should detract from the praise i have for such a useful app. i no longer use the web version and i cant remember the last time i actually visited a bank.

Apps security and transactions were not updated leading seller check and confusion.. This app downloaded for few time for certain security issues encountered on iPad and phone. I suggest westpac is one of the top finance institutions across Australia and the world should have spent great opportunities in application for app security. Heaps of transactions were late and uderperforming the daily updates. Please do something and bring the bes for us. Thanks.

Generally good to use, but crashed every time recently. I’ve been using this app for years and years and generally very happy with the functionality and ease of use. However, for a couple of months recently it crashed every time I used it on the iPad and I had to resort to the phone app (which is a different app). However, this now appears to have been fixed. The only outstanding issue I have is that there is some functionality that the iPhone app has that the iPad app version doesn’t, such as the virtual cards and access to the virtual CCV numbers.

Huge improvement. This is a huge improvement on their clunky earlier version! The layout and visuals are uncluttered and the process is clear and intuitive. Although a senior, I found it strikingly easy to use.

Great app. I agree with review on Sept 26 about the sign in page for the app. I find after you sign in it has no button to sign back in. Just a feedback button and one that goes to Westpac travel. Best to declutter it and have a sign in there all the time even when just signed out. Would be good to have feature to like or agree with other reviews also but I guess that’s a feature for the whole App Store. Would be five stars if I didn’t have to waste my time trying to fix this issue.

Get Familiar and You will Appreciate the Logic in it’s Use. Once familiar with the platform it is easy to navigate and ensures there are enough steps in place that you check/double check your transactions before approval/transfer etc. Easy to use but also ensures you still have a leash on what you are doing. The most logical banking App I have used out of 6 different ones I use daily/weekly due to business. Anyone familiar with some of the others will attest to how clunky and horrible they are in comparison to this smooth platform.

App keeps crashing. I generally have the westpac app on my to conduct my transactions. Past few months, I have not been able to do so as the moment I sign in, it crashes. Leaving me with the only option of signing in on my browser, which is not convenient at all. Please westpac, get this bug fixed ! Your agents have also mentioned that there has been an increase in complaints about this, with no clear indication when this will be resolved.. it is a shame to be honest and I hope this will be actioned..

Westpac online Banking app for iPad. I’ve been using this app for a few years now, very easy to use / navigate, find it very handy to track my credit card transactions etc, highly recommended and safe app for Apple iPad

Need a decent update! Thank you!. I bank with westpac, and I like using mobile banking, but the iPad version of this software needs a update. I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, every time I open the app, there is a black bar around the screen, it is very annoying and unprofessional. And everything inside looks dull, boring, big and bulky, not very appealing. We are in 2020, there should be a change. Simplicity is the way to go, still keep the function within the app, but give the options that the user can decide which function enables and which doesn’t. Honestly, ANZ & Commonwealth’s iPad app looks good. Please make some changes. Thank you.

A clear representation of all accounts and functions can be found easily. This app is quick to login to and safe and secure through the use of Face ID, and exposes in simple format the way to execute the tasks you are there to achieve.

App is excellent.. I have found this app to be the easiest of the two banking apps that l use; it is so straightforward, and with features such as Quick Balance and easy drag to transfer funds between accounts, it sets the benchmark in banking apps. Well done Westpac.

Very user friendly. The Westpac app is very easy and convenient to use. Access is just one screen to enter and very safe. I would recommend this app to any Westpac customer. I have used this while overseas and it ticks all the boxes for giving me control of my accounts at all times and super simple access.

Better than a branch. The app is easy to log into and use. It is not understaffed like most branches. I don’t go to a branch more than twice a year now and usually only when the bank needs to see me not the other way around. Recommend the app and you can change the layout to suit your needs. All round a definite improvement

EASY TO USE. Really like the app, not cluttered, easy to navigate but would like to be able to have our password managers create a password which are large and hard to guess even though I use biometrics, but there are times when your finger does not always work so I then fall back to my password but I am no longer feeling safe enough using that. But overall I love the app and thoroughly recommend it.

Dyslexic. I find the Westpack iPad app is absolutely fantastic I find it very very easy to use. Having dyslexia makes things a lot harder to understand you read things back to front even spell your name back to front but the Westpac app iPad is great thank you Westpack

Quick & easy.. I much prefer using the app over the website because it is a lot easier to navigate. I’m getting on in age, so a 4 digit sign-in is easier to remember than a customer number & password. I use an IPad for all my online stuff, paying bills, etc. My only one issue with the app, is that I don’t get the option to print my payment receipts when I pay my bills, unless I send the receipt to myself via email. So, I still have to use the website to pay bills where I have that option.

Please enable Face ID. Although the security description in the app itself has a whole section on Face ID and it’s security benefits clearly no one told the app developer that as the only available options in simple sign in are fingerprint or simple passcode, exactly the same as they had there in 2016!! Hopeless! This inconsistent and lazy design appears all through the westpac web page too with things that don’t work or are near impossible to find.

Easy to use. Just recently started using this app and found it easy to navigate, check my account balances and pay bills. Highly recommend it.

Flaws in screen graphics. When transferring or making payments from a particular account prior to the conclusion of the exercise, there is a text box which appears on the screen was too blank panels-presumably yes and no! Without text within the panel however the owner miss united would not know what the next step incurs. I have bought this to the attention of WESTPAC previously but obviously to no success.

So easy to use and they don’t make many “make it better” changes!. I have been a user of this app for many years and find it very easy to use and access. With many other apps there seems to be this incessant need to change or upgrade to “make it better” which becomes confusing and makes you uneasy about using it, especially when it is connected to your finances. The westpac app has had some changes but few and they are well explained. If you are aWestpac customer I recommend giving it a try.

Extremely convenient.. Being able to bank when I have the time, usually after hours, is wonderful. Going to the local branch now is a painful experience with only two tellers and an open office environment, everyone knows your business as there’s always at least six people waiting in line to be served. This app saves me at least 20 minutes waiting in a line when I can make banking hours.

New Customer. Thank you Westpac for developing an intuitive and user friendly app. Account details are clearly displayed, balances up to date with plenty of identification details, fast to get to other information and quick log in. Having never banked with Westpac before, I am incredibly impressed with service, both on line and in branch and the professionalism of staff. I love my new bank.

Poor at Best No Excuse for such a big Company. Sadly Westpac are almost as bad as CBA with how little support they offer in their iPad app. They even send emails telling you how to access new mail in profile but the iPad app does not have access to profile. For such a huge company this kind of hobbled app for iPad is inexcusable. Please fix it and give us access to all of the features you offer in a web browser/ smart phone app or stop offering this rubbish app once and for all like CBA has done. If a big bank doesn’t offer true ipad app support what does that say about the whole iPadOS ecosystem. Hmmm

Up until about a week ago, I loved this app.. The app crashes right after sign in if you touch anywhere (on iPad) but one of the accounts. Only then will it not crash. Do you know how many times it crashed before I figured this out. So many that I was ready to switch banks just to have an app that works how it should. I updated everything and reinstalled it like all the help sites suggested. Still the same crash’s app. The mobile app works perfectly though. Just the iPad version.

Ease of using. I find this app great. Can transfer funds to pay bills also to save. Not sure on how to change or delete a regular payment when no longer needed

Westpac banking for iPad. For about 2 weeks the app appears for 1 second and then switches back to the home page. To fix the problem I deleted the app and then reinstalled it. However, this lasts for one or two days and the problem reappears. I repeated this process a few times with the same result. The strange thing is that the same thing occurs on my wife’s iPad. Points Redemption. Try redeeming your accumulated Rewards points, through the app. like they promised: an exercise in patience and frustration. Still got redirected to an annoying website, which was even less user friendly than before. You're obviously directed towards their preferred sponsors - ie. Myer/Caltex, or other overpriced direct purchases. Needed to 'search' for acces to another voucher that I have accessed previously. I initially thought that their prior relationship no longer existed. But no. Just far more difficult to find - obviously on purpose. So you've managed to develop a relatively bug-free app. that lets me pay bills and transfer money - yippee! - join the queue. Now do what you promised; plus send me reminders my CC bill is due the day prior - not on the day.

Password field is broken. This app seems to have been left behind. Changed my password to longer than 6 characters using the web interface and this app is restricted to 6 characters and does not work with the longer password. Oops.

Quick and efficient. I rarely go to the full website, or the bank, the four digit numbers are so much easier and I can do everything I need to do without wasting time. I just wish the funds would go through much quicker, e.g. purchases made on the credit card stay pending for at least two or three days. Overall, the app is great.

Never Opens. Well this app was fantastic till about nine months ago when it stopped opening. Have deleted and reinstalled umpteen times but to no avail. It works once when installed and the only flashes on the screen an disappears, my system is up to date with everything that apple put out so it's not that. Sending a message to the developers was a waste of time as no help at all, why can't you get it to work like the iPhone app. Please, please get it to work again.

Just love it... This app is awesome, it’s so easy to use and I am disabled..it’s not confusing at all..I use it at least every second day. I have found everything I want and need to do on it and more...highly recommend it..and once you login it’s sooooo easy to use..thanks Westpac..for making things so easy and secure for your clients👍👍👍👍👍

Refusing to load. I’ve been using and enjoying the app for years, however over the last 3 months every time I go to use, it it try’s to open then nothing. I have to delete the app then reinstall it. It only works once then next time the same happens again. My friend is having the same problem. Is this a common problem? I am up to date with the latest iOS.

Bank on iPad. Easy to use. I love how i can log in with facial recognition. Also for advanced features like authorising a new card the AP automatically takes you to the full website. I’m sure this is an updated feature which is excellent.

IPad banking with Westpac Banking. My Westpac Banking App keeps my iPad, iPhone & Apple Watch up to date with my monetary movements. Cup of coffee, straight away - ping! you’ve paid $5.30 or whatever amount appears on my Apple watch. This has to be the most immediate way to pick up an unauthorised payment from a Westpac Credit Card.

Simplicity, easy and so convenient.. I love using this iPad banking. It is so straight forward, which is such a bonus to pensioners like myself, plus living a long way from any branches of the bank, up in the Dandenong Ranges. Thank you Wesrpac, please do not make any complicated changes to this superb, easy to use, convenient, banking app..

Love this app!. Really getting up in age now and a few years ago one of my Sons gave me an iPad and said “Mum if you only learn one thing to do on this make sure it is internet banking. “. How right he was! I love this app. It’s so convenient- day or night- so very easy to use. I can’t tell you how often I use it. I am so grateful for having it. I can’t thank you ( or my Son ) enough. Would not be without internet banking now.....ever.

Drg. About time someone came up with a truly functional app. Well done. Took a while. Worth the wait. Easy to use. Added onto the original comment. The sliding scale to rate the app. Does not work on my iPad. Every time I sign in. It has reverted back to asking for the lengthy ID and password. I have to create a 4 digit pin each time. Tedious. So you have slid backwards.

Very well executed. A pleasure to use.. The Westpac banking App is a breeze to use (I’m a business banking customer). Like other users I find it more convenient and enjoyable to use than signing in from a browser. If only Westpac had adopted Apple Pay earlier (supposedly coming June 2020) I’d be using them for my personal banking too! Once the laundry is properly dry it might be time for customers to head back to Westpac.

An excellent app, been using since it’s creation. Never had any problems, does what it’s supposed to do. No “bells and whistles” here, only clean and efficient user friendly interface that works. Thank you developers!

Great app. I use three banking apps, this Westpac app for my personal banking and two others for associations with which I am involved. The Westpac app is easy to follow and works very well, slightly better than the other two that I use. For someone in regional Victoria, living on a rural property, it allows me to do all my banking without leaving home and having to queue at a physical branch

Have deleted as certain aspects don’t work. Too much frustration with trying to apply for a term deposit which didn’t work, the lack of a temporary card locking feature and then a feedback form which could not be submitted. And as for the survey attached to the app I couldn’t get that to work at all. All these features are present and work on the IPhone app so that’s what I use now.

Keyboard prevents completion of transfer of funds. Hello. I'm writing about the Westpac app for iPad. For some time it has not been possible to use the app to make a transfer from a savings account to pay a credit card. When the last lines are completed .. ie amount to transfer, and date, there is no way for the keyboard to be removed in order to finalise the transfer. Please provide a fix for this. Otherwise this is a 5 star app.

I showed you the problem - please fix it. Reorder icons does not work. Try it and the app crashes and shuts down. I emailed you and you reply with “we would like to share our agreed outcome with you”. Nothing has changed!! Stop pretending to do things, put less time into telling me you’re doing something and more time into actually doing something that improves and fixes the app. It shouldn’t be that hard Westpac. Must try harder 👎

Great App. The ease of banking through the app while your on the go or just lounging around makes life so much easier, plus the app security is second to none, I’ve been a Westpac banker for over 35 years, and I won’t be changing to any other bank soon.

Please add features. This app is great for transferring money, checking transactions and the like. Unfortunately when I wanted to make a payment beyond my daily limit it appeared that there was no way to change the limit within the app (as can be done with the iPhone app). It would be great if this and other features of the iPhone app could be incorporated to make it more useful. Thanks.

Easy to use, full functionality.. With all the millions $ that the big banks have stolen from their customers since time began, how grateful should we be for a banking app that works ? With the massive profits the big banks make its the least that customers deserve ! Give me a functional alternative to a bank an I’m in !!

Easy to use and convenient login. I have been using the App for years, with the convenient 4 digit login. It helps me to keep an eye on my banking details from the convenience of my iPad. I have experienced no glitches or problems in using this App. Thank you. Joy

Messed up by ATO details. The app has been good, but I’m locked out by an ATO request for tax residency details. Required by March 15, and despite me having provided them, the popup window in the app doesn’t recognise that. It doesn’t collapse with “provide later”or “already provided”, locking me out of the app and preventing contact or feedback with Westpac. Not good enough, Westpac. I’m your client, not the damned ATO, and what are you doing letting them inside my account to which I’ve signed in anyway? Privacy laws don’t apply to the government? Do you think the banks in Switzerland allow this sort of intrusion? Get it right. Now.

App rating. I like the app. It is easy to navigate. When I need support there is always someone who can help or quickly find out who is the right person or right area. I have all my accounts at my fingertips, and visual. Almost instant process to transfer between accounts ant to pay billers.

Very good banking ap. I like this one better than my other 2 banks'. It is colourful, attractive, easy to read, and quick. Highly recommended.

Great app. Really simple and elegant interface. Not just a rehash of the website or the old iPhone app, this is really, really good.
