If you use IG.... I am a serious photographer. Not every image presents best in a square format (actually, very few do). This app is simple, elegant and allows me to present my work the way I want it to be seen. This review is late in coming, I’ve used the app for over five years now. A very belated THANK YOU!

Garbage. App is Garbo. Doesn’t offer anything different than other free apps of its kind, the free “frames” download button in the picture edit section doesn’t work at all, and I genuinely don’t feel it is worth the $.99 you have to pay when you can just as easily get the same, if not better, features from free apps like INSTFIT.

The best!. Almost 3 yrs using this app, I wouldn’t change it for another, it has everything. My favorite app to edit and size my photos 🙌

Slow. Very laggy and slow now since the update. Even makes my phone freeze up now when trying to cancel the app out to refresh.

Please keep updating. Update: I cannot open this app AT ALL anymore, it crashes before it even loads. Yay for panorama pics!. Very handy for panorama shots! Only thing is, you have to be patient with it’s speed and the app rarely glitches and quits on you. But that comes with all electronics! Recommend :)

Instagram Photo Square. I tried 6 Instagram Photo Square before this one. Anyone adding photos to Instagram will love this one.

App is thrown out after the edits are made. When I try to edit the picture, and click check then app closes and not able to save the changes

Super easy!. Super easy and user friendly! Great selection of colors for the frames that make your photos square shaped. Awesome for those pesky times when your photos must be square shaped but you don’t want to lose part of your pic. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using this app for 4 years. It’s actually pretty simple and easy to use. What I like about it is that for Instagram it frames the picture perfectly so you don’t have to crop anything out, unless you want to. Still using and will be using this app!

The app isn’t working properly. It was working fine yesterday but today it won’t allow uploading in the IG feed.

Text glitch. There is a text glitch that has been problematic for some time. When attempting to enter text screen goes blank and not able to type anything.

Video frames/border. Im not sure if theres a gadget for it or not but if I could just add that safe frame i do to my pictures to videos, that’ll be great!:)

Reluctant 5. I tried to think of a reason to give this little gem less than 5 stars. To be honest there is very little area for improvement! Instagram fans this offering is a must for your creativity, so download it now and enjoy.

Very useful and helpful. I'm a cartoonist and it really pisses me off when I can't fit my whole drawings into the tiny little square. This app makes it super helpful to crop it, but you can also do so much more too like out stickers and edit your picture even further. It's really great. I definitely recommend it.

Love it...but some quirks. I LOVE this app and have been using it for years. It’s simple and easy to navigate, and blissfully add-free. I’m finding some workarounds but saving a file and posting using the Instagram link aren’t working on iOS 13.5 (I haven’t been able save a file from the app for a long time now, so these issues predate 13.5). Is there an update to the app that will fix this? I want to keep using it as long as I can!

Polished and fun. This app does a lovely job of putting rectangular photos in a square frame, just as you'd expect. But it does so much more and there are some fun features, such as layers, that allow real creativity. The filters are fairly ordinary but there are plenty of filter and primary editing apps, this app excels in the area of image manipulation and layering.

Sensational Application. Being a part time photographer, I have started an Instagram page for my personal shots. All images are taken on my Canon Rebel T3i or iPhone 6. I couldn't find an app that would fit a 6 x 4 or 8x10 photo in an Instagram square. This app loads your choice of image into a square meaning that space is left at the top & bottom or both sides of the image. You then get a wide choice of colours & designs to fill or blend in the extra space. On top of this it has 10+ excellent & unique editing tools to really improve you're image if need be. A must have app for instagramers that are serious about the presentation of their photos on Instagram or just using the app for its great editing capabilities. Well done to the designer...

Great app. I'm a photographer and use the app to quickly get my photos sized for Instagram without having to crop my images. A bit slow sometimes when navigating through but that could be because of my image sizes (up to 12mb). Haven't had any issues and does exactly what I want it to do. Would be great if there was an option to "square" multiple images at the same time. Thanks to the developer.

Saviour of my Instagram. As I post a lot of art and monochromatic pictures, I like my Insta to be neat and not cluttered. This is the only app I could find to provide a perfect square border I can separate my pictures with so they look better. Thanks!

Best app for it's purpose.. I don't review many apps. But this one is just excellent. When searching the App Store for apps that can square rectangular photos you will come across many apps, all of which do the same thing. There are only a few differences, namely UI (user interface) and ease of use. To sum up my first point in a sentence: this app looks great. Doesn't exactly fit the theme of iOS but still looks good, in my opinion. Not only that, but it is minimal. There are no hidden ads and no constant reminders to "buy premium to do something that should have been included anyway". And it's really simple to use, too. Press the camera roll button, select photo, press the tick button. I've tried so many and this one has succeeded tremendously in what it is for.

Great!. Great app downloaded over 2000 photos using it. I use an iPad to download to Instagram. If there was one slight lazy gripe it would be great after uploading a photo and you re entered the up that you could return to the photo gallery you started at and not the app start screen. Other than that this app is AWSOME 😀

Value for money. Tried several of the photo squaring apps. Either you’re bombarded with ads or they’re needlessly complex. This one is easy to use, no ads and is value for money.

Stop the pop up. I would have given a 5* if the pop up doesn't appear EACH TIME I'm using the app. This is apaid app not free , so I don't appreciate being forced to give a review. Especially when it's not even 5 minutes since I started using the app.

Very good, but.... I use this app all the time for Instagram. It's awesome, easy to use, and so on. However one thing in particular has been really annoying me. The creator of this app created a pop up to show up when you're editing your photo almost every time you're done using an edit feature. The creator was literally begging in the app for users to rate and review the app which is the only reason I'm writing this, in hopes the annoying pop ups that appear literally every few seconds will go away.

Great to bad. I've used this app to create space around my pictures for many years. Now all of a sudden it automatically creates thin black lines at the edges and that's trash. What's that for. I'm changing apps.

Well-featured. It was my first time using one of these apps in a long time, and was really surprised with this app because of the full set of features available. I expected it to be a lot simpler, but it has features such as the colour splash and a good number of bright, colourful backgrounds. The only thing for me is that it is confusing at the difference between the first editing screen (when you can resize the photo and choose a background) and the second (where you edit the overall image). The text editing options for both screens are also different, which doesn't seem to make sense. But will definitely keep on using this app, very useful and nice features. Thank you!

The plea for a good recommendation came almost 2 minutes after I had just starting playing around with the app. So far it seems to be a good app, except it came with no instructions on how to use the app. So while I'm trying to figure it out, I keep getting asked for a good review. It's like taking a test drive in a new car and the salesman begging for me to buy the car before even getting it out of the parking spot. I hope this will be a wonderful app, but please allow me to get a few pictures done before asking for a review.

Thank You for NOT Sucking!!!. Thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!!! I've used so many other no-crop apps, and they've sucked. They either take it upon themselves to watermark your photos with the app name (thanks for taking my photo cred), or give you a watered-down, grainy, or blurry low-res version of your photo. Please, I beg of you -- don't change a thing. I'll watch ads, I'll pay. Just don't go the route these other apps have. The layout, UI, ease of use, and performance are stellar. Tip Top, can only get better!. It's a very nice app and it does what it says it can do. I've wanted an app in which I could put a landscape or portrait photo into a square format without cropping the original – and this app does that in a very attractive way, with several options. It's Hip to be InstaSquarer. Loving me some InstaSquarer. Before, when I'd post pictures in InstaGram, I'd always end up with some whiney little friend texting me "Boohoo you cut my face off!" With InstaSquarer I can get all of the picture into the frame and really capture the moment to savor. Now they just text about how drunk they look in the picture from that angle, which actually would have been any angle. Thank you, InstaSquarer!

Instagram photo squarer Plus...... Like many higher end camera users, I hated the fact that I had to chop off some edges of my meticulously framed photos just to post them on Instagram so much I never used the service. But just this month I finally decided the pluses of doing so (mostly exposure to a wider audience) were to great to ignore. I toyed with the idea of creating framed versions of my photos in Photoshop, not hard, but one more step in an already crowded workflow. Fortunately I decided to search the app store for an app to automate this process. Instasquarer was the first app I came across, and even though I liked it after trying it out I felt I should try out some others (about 10 or so others). Most of them were paid apps or had ads ranging from benign to downright deadly. I have to say that Instasquarer does everything the paid apps I tried did and more (caveat, I have not used any of the photo editing tools, I have a full set of other tools I use). Features found in this app that I did not see in any other apps are the ability to chose from 3 different export sizes and the ability to add a caption and hashtags. The later is a real time saver when processing a batch of photos with similar subject matter. Just enter the info in the provided text field on the preferences page and is put into the caption field for all the subsequent exports. Overall a great app. The look is a bit dated here and there, but is still very functional. And it's free and no ads!

Love insta. Love this.. Dear college student, child or parent, This app is EXACTLY what I was looking for. First and for most it squares the picture automatically, straight and centered, and if you touch it, it won't completely un-straighten!! (yay!) Along with this, the edit options are great. I literally just downloaded 10+ apps to edit one picture but this one app has everything I wanted (!!!!) and could've saved me a good hour if I had found it earlier. Thank You From A Wedding Photographer!. Thank you so much for providing this well put together app. It does what it says and then some, all I wanted was to be able to post my work for my clients on Instagram and share with my friends, little did I know it had classy backgrounds and customization too! Thank you for giving me the ability to post my full work without sacrificing more than half my image to crop.

Sophisticated!. After choosing from the many border options I clicked "save" and expected to export. Surprise, another page opens with your photo and new border and a whole slew of free editing options that I usually had to use two different photo editing apps to achieve! What a nice surprise! I only liked a few of the pattern borders but having the option of using an image from my library remedies that. Nice job!

No image quality lost. Unlike some other photo re-sizing apps I've used, your images will not lose quality once you upload into app and re-save into your photos. This is by far the best quality of this app and why I continue to use it. It also gives you the option to give your border/background a different color which might be good for some people.

Lots of cool options. This app is so much better than instasize which was what I was using before this. It has much more cool options but it's also really quick to use if all you want is the square/no crop feature. The irritating part is that I downloaded the app maybe 10 minutes ago but maybe a minute after I opened it, it asked me to review the app....like I've barely even gotten the chance to play with the app yet you're asking me to review. AND IT KEPT POPPING UP EVERY COUPLE MINUTES UNTIL I FINALLY AGREED TO REVIEW. That was so annoying and that's why I'm writing this review tbh.

Good. The support link goes to aviary. I don't think the developer meant for that to happen. Also, I appreciate he effects and everything, but besides posting I cropped photos, I want to make simple collages (like two photos next to each other or one on top of the other). Why are there no decent apps that have both of these functions? I have to have two apps in addition to Instagram if I want to do anything but post basic square photos.

Black border. I love the app and always use it. But for some or other reason when I use it to post photos on Instagram, it makes a small and very thin black border around the photo (which I do not want). How do I get rid of it?

InstaSquarer. I appreciate using this app because on occasions some of the pictures that I want to share cannot fit entirely on Instagram; however, I do not have to be concerned anymore because this app allows me to fit all my pictures of landscapes and or high quality pictures. Furthermore, I also like the fact that no watermark is displayed when you have your finished product. Moreover, the features the app has are captivating because one can select from various background colors, themes, effects, filters, include another picture, and even add text. 😄 Ultimately, if you are having difficulties to include the entire pictures on Instagram, and you do not want to crop parts of the pictures, then you ought to download this free app. 😉

Keeps image quality the same. 👍. I don't usually rate apps, but I decided to rate this one because I'd been looking for a app to use to size my pictures for Instagram without it making them blurry like most photo sizing apps do. As someone into photography I want my pictures to keep the same quality on Instagram as they had when I took them on my camera. This app is great, I love it! :)

More than just insta-squaring!. This app does what it claims & does it well, saving well composed photos from the fate of bad instagram crops. The hidden surprise is a tool-box of great editing tools that also perform beautifully: whitening, blemish removal, color de-saturation, touch of color, filters, meme generator and more. I'm shocked how much I use this above other photo editing tools due the ease of use & the excellent performance of all the features. Kudos to the creator!

forced review but I do like the app. App is all of a sudden is asking me a zillion times (during every action) to give a review, became quite frustrating and impossible to use so now Im here writing this review because if I didnt the app became useless hopefully it will stop asking me now. I do love the app but this forced review is so frustrating. If I werent forced like this it would have been 5 stars for sure. Also it keeps crashing ALL the time lately :( not sure why but I really hope he fixes it.

It's really useful if you've made a sports edit for Instagram, or u have a cool photo that u wanna put on Instagram but it doesn't fit. This is where that app comes in handy. It lets u fit the photo so u can put it on Instagram and u can c the whole thing! If u have Instagram, you should get this app right away!!!😉👍 great job making it! You succeeded in creating a beautifully functional iteration of a concept buggered royally by at least two dozen others contenders. Aside from performing the intended function of preserving rectangular aspect ratios within a square field, this coolly "simple" app, empowers us with access to the full core of essential photo editing tools from within AND with a feature set that's not only simple, light, elegantly designed and free of annoying, incessant disruptions of "free" apps that assault users every 15 seconds to charge for each feature. This zen masterpiece is not "--its 1 dollar, another dollars if you choose access additional frame sets (which I recommend highly) and NEVER pops up ads & promos. $2 bucks you got THE WORKS, speaking of which--it does work...REALLY well. I don't care if you're a student or Albert Einstein or rich as Roosevelt, I hope you sell a million licenses. You deserve it for considering what a user's experience should be like and selling a product designed to provide that experience. All you other developers...THIS is the model for sales, satisfaction and success right here. 👍🏽👍🏽

Honestly, it's really good and straight forward. So I read your a college student, I respect that. I'm also a college student in the profess of developing my own business, therefore I feel you and I'm writing a good review because the app is actually GOOD! So, back to the point.... The app is simple, easy to use, straight forward, and has a nice layout. I really recommend this app if you're looking for something to resize your pics and make them fit on instagram in a matter of seconds. And for the developer: GOOD JOB, KEEP IT UP, AND NEVER GIVE UP!

Does what says it will. This is a really nice app for squaring off photos to post full size in Instagram. I pretty much use it just for that, then edit them in a different app. The editing tools in this one are alright, but they get applied to the bars on either side of the photo as well, which I'm not a fan of. The adjustment tools are also *incredibly* sensitive -- playing with contrast, for example, requires only the barest touch (+/- <10), unless you want a completely unrecognizable image. There are some interesting light and distortion tools, but again, they get applied to everything. If it was possible to square after editing, this would be a whole different app.

The app I was searching for. One of my biggest problems with instagram was the fact that it would cut off almost all my photos. I tried a lot of picture editing apps and collage apps but none of them really worked, and were a lot of work for almost nothing. This app is amazing though, it's simple, fast, easy, and perfect for fitting your pictures on Instagram!

Great app!!. At first, I was a little skeptical about trying this app. There are a few I've tried before and did not like, so I wasn't sure if I should expect anything good anymore. But, I downloaded the app and was quite surprised. The app is super simple and easy to use. If you're looking to add a whole photo to Instagram and not one you have to "crop" then look no further!! First Class. This is not a "puff piece". It's the real-deal for an a jam-packed little app. I have often been disappointed with apps - many do not deliver. But InstaSquarer does - and more. Had been seeking a good app to do what I needed done with Instagram. Surprise! It has nifty editing tools, more than I ever expected. Next, the interface with not only great with Instag, but with other SNetworks as well! I want to stop using Hootsuite, even though IS does not have stat, scheduling nor visuals for most networks. No kidding! That would be too much to ask in this case. However, IS is so very easy to use that it deserves 5 stars. Kudos, and many thanks Thomas!! You hit a home run. This is the first time I have been impressed enough by an app to write a Review.

Good App. I was using another photo editor app and it was my favorite. I wouldn't use anything else. But I also kept another app only so I could switch the picture view "flip" or "flop" it. This app does it all! So I was able to delete my favorite app and the one I used for the flip flop switch and now I'm obsessed with this app. I got annoyed with the ratings request so I finally submitted this to avoid the constant pop ups.

KEM. Best app to edit photos!! Been having it for YEARS.

So far it's been great and easy to use. I'm leaving a review because the pop up asking for a review kept showing up so I figured I'd get it out the way now. I've only used this app for a day but so far I'm enjoying it and it's very easy to use. I love being able to put pictures up on Instagram without cropping, and the layering is a neat feature as well. If there are any changes I will definitely update this review, but for now I'm content with this app and kudos to the college student who created it!

One Fix Away from Perfection. I would love a future update of this app to include the option to only filter the photo and not the bars on the side. While sometimes filtering the whole square is preferred, I think that MOST of the time, people prefer for the white bars on the side to blend in seamlessly with Instagram's white background. I love this app, though! Easy to use, nice filters, plenty of manual editing options, and trendy wallpapers for when you're craving a little extra flair! If this one problem was fixed, I would only use this app and forgo all others!!!!
