Most outstanding professional looking for that perfect career. Career Builder definitely has helped me tremendously in my search for that career that will better my life in general. Searching for a job is a job in itself and deciphering all the openings out there it is extremely hard when you know most of them honestly make you want to head for an early retirement but being able to chose through so many options, you’re actually able to find one that perfect one that won’t make you want to blow your brains out at the end of the day. THANK YOU CAREER BUILDER!!

Try all other job app’s before using Career Builder!. ⚠️⚠️This app sells our information to non-legitimate websites/fraudulent recruiters who are scamming/phishing through zoom or other platforms. ⚠️⚠️ It has happened multiple times to me. Luckily I have had extensive training on cyber security, phishing schemes, and fraud. Make sure to not agree to a zoom, Skype, or any other platform for an “interview” until you have researched the company, the initial number that sent the recruitment message, ask questions, and NEVER click on a link. Even if the company and interview is legitimate, a zoom number and passcode is provided, ALWAYS type in the number manually!

JOB SCAM CERO STAR. This was a scam that I went through I would like you to know that this is a platform for a professional team to look for job. I went through this week having an interview for a company in this site Moss Adams, LLP and then it was a scamming on my cell phone company account, purchase 3 cell phone on my name. Thank god it did not happen I was aware immediately of the transaction everything was canceled. I think you have to know what is on your platform. We use this to provide professional information to find jobs it’s not to be scammed with or professional services. Please be aware of this problem that other people well not go through this. I will never use your platform again and will not recommend it ever again.

For today’s technology. Very poor and Beware. In 3 weeks of job searching, all I’m seeing are Recruiters. Also, I am receiving Recruiter type calls and emails but they are always very suspicious. I received numerous, back to back calls first, then emails with offers of Contract work and a lengthy job description...with numerous typos. No matter what Recruiting company is contacting you, the email is the same and the callers are middle eastern. Scammers! Obviously, CareerBuilder needs to improve its efforts in protecting our information. Needs many improvements. Most importantly, the upload of Resume’s and CB’s formatting is horrible.

They sell your info to everyone. I recently downloaded this app again, forgetting why I stopped using it. The reason is because they sell your information (especially contact info) to everyone. You will be getting a flood of calls and e-mails by recruiters who get paid to put bodies in offices, and don't care about what your actual qualifications are. You will get "offers" from every seedy, suspicious company that exists. What you won't get are actual opportunities. Stay away!

Useless app for the most part. If you select any filters, it disregards them and shows what they want anyways. They also don’t make sure “employers” are actual businesses which allows for anyone to get your information to try and scam you. If you do choose to apply, don’t apply for anything that directs you to a website. It will most likely phish for info. I advise to either submit a resume and let the employer contact you or research them on the BBB and GlassDoor for verification. Also, you will get relentless amounts of texts from unprofessional people (again, mostly scammers)or recruiters for pyramid schemes. A serious job will call and schedule a virtual or face-to-face interview. Don’t fall for anything else. Do not make your resume public either, again, it’s a free-for-all for scammers to access your contact info. As someone who is immune-compromised as is relying on Work From Home jobs, they really need to fix what location is accessible for people looking for work. There are so many listed from my state, but when overlooking the summary, they are for a completely different state, which is not only easily fixable, but a waste of time for both parties, They need to better filter their desktop and mobile app for both employers and those looking for work.

Cesspool for international scammers. Careerbuilder is the worst employment job search platform in the country. The same thing happened two years ago but I thought there’s no way they haven’t improved their security. WRONG!! Once again after three days, just 72 hours of activity I have received over a hundred emails and text from FAKE job recruiters with random people. I literally received 42 text messages from the same platform with different contact names but the format and verbiage was identical WORD FOR WORD. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME INSTALLING THIS APP OR USING THEIR SITE!!! I will probably end up with a virus, my identity stolen, and I’m 99% sure I’ll be changing my phone number today. THANKS FOR NOTHING YOU WORTHLESS SCAMMERS!!

Career Builder. I am so angry!! Who are these shady employers? Are they even legit?? I have been flooded with text messages about jobs. Not one phone call or video chat call. Everything is done via text or chat only. And now I’m being texted before 7 am from stupid companies that I don’t even think are legit. When I told the person it’s not even 7 am and I work until late at night or up to 4 am so I’ve literally only been asleep a few hours, he apologized and explained it’s almost 8 am his time. Then he asked if I was interested in a position with them and wanted to continue with the interview via chat!! Are you kidding me?? Who wants to be woken up by a company about a job position at 6:50 am after being asleep for 2 hours and then do an interview via chat?? The fact that he actually have me a fake, halfway apology and then continued with wanting to just interview me fate I told him I had only been asleep a few hours, has me appalled and absolutely infuriated. His make he claims via text is Stephen David with the firm Wavin B.V.!!!

Scammers on this app. It’s a shame because I’ve been targeted by 3 scam companies within 24 hrs, offering really high hourly pay, but then proceeded to conduct an interview over Microsoft Teams or Skype. I’ve conducted an interview with 2 of the companies, and at the end of the interview, they offered me the job, and stated that they need my personal contact details. I told them that without a formal onboarding form via email, I’m not giving my personal information (since identity theft is growing more and more these days). After that, the interview stopped. They were persistent about getting my personal details through Teams without sending me an email. If you see an offer like that, don’t fall for it, keep your information safe.

Terrible app, full of spam and fake jobs. AVOID!!!. Downloaded the app, created account and went through the whole process. Did a job search, and found a couple that I wanted to apply to. After doing so, I get an email from CareerBuilder, saying the job I applied for has been flagged as fraudulent and to stop all communication with them immediately. Weird right? Why not remove the post ?! Since then, I have received multiple texts and emails which are clearly fake job postings, (people working at Large Companies, but sending a meeting invite from Gmail, and using Telegram”. Clearly none of this was an issue until I joined CareerBuilder. Emails CareerBuilder support to question this, came back undeliverable. Closed account.

Great job app to land a job. I was using Zip Recruiter for about 5 months and my fiancé recommended I go the the App Store and sign up for all of the job apps. I am the kind of person that NEEDS to work or I drive everyone insane. Mind you, I am very upset because it was false termination with my immediate supervisor lying and getting away with it. Anyways, I literally was getting 5-10 job opportunities a day from Career Builder and the companies were not fake companies. GET THIS JOB APP!!

Your Info is 100% Public. Regardless of selecting the option to list my resumes privately through Career Builder this does not and will not happen. I’ve reuploaded my resume with different contact information to ensure that I do not continue to receive spam phone calls/emails/texts but random companies keep calling me nonstop daily! It has gotten to the point where it’s interfering with my daily life and using my phone in general! I’ve reached out to Career Builder about the issue multiple times with no response. I use to love the ease of use with this site however, with the ongoing daily spam via email/calls/texts for positions I didn’t apply for in addition to no support or feedback from Career Builder, I will not use nor do not recommend this platform.

Scam. The people who use career builder to find employees are complete scam artists. Someone took me through a whole process on how things were going to get done just to tell me that I would have to pay $400 for the software but that I would be reimbursed at the end. When they could’ve just as easily paid for it the same way she was asking me to pay her. I said it was a scam and declined the offer. She then sent another message asking for my drivers license and social security number after I just said no?? Do I have stupid written on my forehead? And I kept running into people like that who would text my phone and their wording and EVERYTHING would be the exact same. They like to say “is this understood?” It’s just very annoying especially when you don’t have time to be playing games with these people.

Do not download - SPAM CENTRAL. I was using another app to apply for jobs and the position post happened to be on career builder. In such a situation you have no choice but to join and then there is this bulk apply feature. Not only was the job post a scam so were the 42 other “jobs” they offered to bulk apply to. You don’t even understand why you’re pressing certain buttons until after it’s too late. I got emails, calls AND numerous texts from different scammers. I would never put my sensitive information like a resume on a site like this ever again. This is a terrible unsafe site. I never leave app reviews and this is my first one ever just to warn others 😩 if it were possible to give zero stars instead of one I would have.

Not Very User Friendly. I like Career Builder, I have found at least three jobs using their site. I just downloaded the app today and it has been zero help, I can’t figure out how to look for jobs, I can’t see the jobs that I’m looking for and I have a bunch of irrelevant job messages that I want to delete, but the app makes impossible to. An App should be super easy to use, but this App is very confusing, also what is that horrendous CB logo, I’m just very disappointed I feel like Career Builder went from 10 to 0 with this horrendous App. No, thank you.

Desperately Seeking Job. This is most definitely one of the better/best apps I have used throughout my seemingly endless job hunt. I found everything very easily navigable and absolutely love that you can view how many times and by whom your resume has been viewed. The only aspect I would like to be done differently is the option of separate spaces or lines that would allow the job seeker the ability to add more than one job they are interested in or looking for. Other than that, I am very happy and impressed with, and thankful for CareerBuilder. Keep up the great work! Thank you!

A Hotspot for Scammers. While CareerBuilder is a widely recognized job search platform, my experience with it has been far from positive. As soon as I made my profile public, I was inundated with a barrage of emails and SMS messages from supposed employers. However, upon closer inspection, these messages all bore an eerie resemblance to one another, suggesting a coordinated effort to extract personal information from unsuspecting users. The sheer volume of these messages and their identical nature raised red flags. It became evident that I was dealing with a group of scammers who were exploiting CareerBuilder's platform to prey on vulnerable individuals. The fact that they continued to contact me through new phone numbers even after I blocked them further solidified my belief that I was being targeted. It's disheartening to discover that a platform as prominent as CareerBuilder could be a breeding ground for such malicious activities. I urge all users to exercise extreme caution when interacting with potential employers on this platform. Be wary of any unsolicited messages that request personal information, and always verify the authenticity of employers before engaging with them. CareerBuilder needs to take immediate action to address this issue and implement stricter measures to safeguard its users from scammers. Until then, proceed with caution and protect your personal data diligently. 0/5 stars not safe application

difficult to navigate. trying To change things in my profile it won’t allow me to change I’ve been trying to change my location I sent to troubleshoot email no one’s responded and there’s things I just been trying to update and I can’t it won’t let me but I’ll keep trying

Won’t let me change my location. This app does seem to draw a lot of attention to hour resume, however with a major problem... neither the website or the app will allow me to set my location that I live or the location that I’m looking for work in. It defaulted to a town 2 hours away from where I live and I’m not sure why, and every time I try to save the changes (again, both the app and the website), it tells me something went wrong and it doesn’t save it. So now I’m getting calls, emails, and notifications for all the great jobs that I can’t pursue because they are hours away from me. Pretty much just a bummer...

Seems to be a staffing firm feeding ground. I used career builder for a month and like monster, I experienced getting multiple calls a day from staffing firms that are dressed in recruiter clothing. Overly aggressive, interrogation based staffers that present jobs that Im clearly way over qualified for. Offering positions slightly above minimum wage, when my experience calls for 60-90k a year. They call at all hours of the night and morning which shows lack of professionalism, and when I did set an appointment with them, they never called/showed. Never once did I receive correspondence from an actual company. Once I told them to stop calling me, they would try to put me on with their “lead” who tried to use a shaming tactic to get my business. Would not reccomend, in fact, Id say , stay away, complete waste of time.

Not ipad compatible. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME YOU’LL GET NOTHING BUT BOT RECRUITER SPAM BLOWING UP YOUR EMAIL OR PHONE OR BOTH. This app is kluge and should support landscape mode. But it does not. Big reason i only access it sparingly. Support is further non existent unless u game their system by calling their sales dept. But then they don’t know how the app works and they’re offshore with bad english. All in all not a great GUI. If you want a job waiting tables or walking dogs this is a good app to utilize. IF though you are looking for quality and profesional jobs Linkedin is the platform to focus on. ZipRecruiter, Monster, Careerbuilder all open huge spickets of spam mail from every recruiter bot on the web.

Great system, terrible controls. I thoroughly appreciate sites that give you broad titles and options for job search. The addition of extra resources like blogs, resume/CV/CL examples, and links to outside resources is the icing on this broken cake. Since pandemic, it’s clear the demand for recruitment has skyrocketed-but that’s no excuse for the continued unsatisfactory job matching I’ve received the past 3 months. Additionally, im pretty savvy on scams and fraud (I have 6 years of law enforcement) yet still was lead into a fraudulent company . After sending complaint with evidence from apps and my bank, I still noticed that company amongst many more still allowed to use platform. Where is the quality control? I still would recommend this site for informational purposes-but will never cause to apply.

Buggy, constantly freezes, invasive. This application does ONE thing right, it allows for the posting of resumes and cover letter files. Aside from that however the app is non functional, you can’t edit basic information, it just freezes whenever you try to use it, you have to hard quit the app and launch it back up to get it to work again and if you do, it freezes! The constant hard crashes are repeatable and unavoidable. Use the website folks don’t be lazy, this app is bad and will hurt your career job search by using it, no real user interaction, the chat function DOES NOT WORK! and it will freeze constantly, I have missed dozens of recruiter inquiries through this buggy app and it’s misshaped chat feature, it’s held me back career wise. Don’t let poor app development hold your professional career search be hampered by a bad and poorly developed app. Don’t pay money for it, don’t invest valuable time on this... go to the careerbuilder website instead of this. Save your time, and your potential career opportunities!

It’s okay, could be better. The app is okay, it could be so much better with some small changes. Allowing me to remove/delete/archive messages sent to me through the inbox. It seems crazy that I have messages from 2 years ago for jobs that are unrelated to my field that I can’t delete. Notifying me of messages in said inbox. There has been a number of times I would open the app once a week or so, since everything goes to my email only to find a recruiter has been trying to get ahold of me through the messaging app. No notice, no job. show me what I have up for a resume. I’m tired of having to constantly upload a new resume because I don’t know what I have listed. Either upload, or allow me to fill out a form where it would generate a resume for an employer. Thank you.

This is the worst job app I’ve ever used!!!!!. I could upload my same resume to every other major job website except this one because they claim the file is too big. I had to manually build out my resume on the app since I couldn’t upload my own which is already perfected and finished. Then I finally got all the details I wanted in the resume tool and the details don’t carry over from the resume builder into your profile so you have to add all your skills, education, job history multiple times. The resume that is generated out of the resume builder is also plain and not inviting at all. This app needs major overhaul and improvement.

Worst Job Site. I would give this app zero stars if possible. All kinds of recruiters contacting me about positions I would never apply for saying they would like to talk. I’m getting calls, voicemails, emails, texts from these recruiters who are contacting me about being a Physcian’s assistant when I’m in IT. Most of the recruiters who call and leave messages I can’t even understand them. When they are explained the role. They claim they found me on their ‘job board’ and that I would ‘be a good fit’. They want me on site form day one in Cali and I live in PA. Total waste of time I’m deleting my profile. At least people who contact me on Indeed are relevant!

Fraud. This is not a good place to find a job. I post my Resume online to find a job. I was contacted by several different work from home employers. Was made to do a interview process. Only to find out that it was fraud. They try to use my personal information and make me deposit a fraudulent check in my account. Luckily I caught it before it affected my personal life. I would not recommend this app or website for platform to seek employment. When I called the company to complain about the fraud I was giving an email address. I emailed them and nothing was done about it. Do not use this do not give them any of your personal information for any jobs.

Cannot see the words I write. I like this app and it has helped me land great roles. However, for about 2 or 3 months now it has nor been allowing me to see what I write in the search bar. I ignored it thinking it was a glitch but here we are 3 months later worth the same issue. I was jus trying to apply for a role but much like the search bar issue, it was not allowing me to see the questions the employers were asking. It just showed yes or no as an option. Please help! This was probably a great opportunity that I lowered out on because of an ongoing technical issue.

Terrible. Doesn’t seem legit! I went to apply for several jobs and while doing it automatically pops up a community service application and the only way to get passed that is to either fill it out and hit “SAVE” or hit the “BACK” button and not even make it to the application for the job your trying to apply for. There’s no way to apply for jobs using the app like indeed and others do. Once I choose a job I want apply for it also says apply on company website but when I go to the company websites those jobs aren’t even listed at all on their website.

A Significant Shortcoming. Let me be straight, EVERY job search platform I’ve used, Career Builder, Indeed or Zip Recruiter suffers from the same frustrating shortcoming. I work in the Commercial Construction world, NOT Residential. It’s the difference between being a lawnmower mechanic & a car mechanic. While some skills & tools are the same, even the simple tasks are different in scope & knowledge requirements. Residential Construction Msnagers are very skilled in their scope. A few might do well in the Commercial world. But the learning curve is steep. Commercial Construction is vast in scope. A small project (a fast food restaurant) is still larger & more expensive than a high end home. I use the word “Commercial” in ALL my searches & yet, I’m inundated with Residential opportunities. I want the sites to be respectful of my time & narrow the search parameters to focus on what I seek, & not simply matching a word.

Spam Factory. Immediately after setting up my profile on CareerBuilder I started to get a lot of spam emails for jobs I’m not qualified for. I tried to take my resume off of my profile but once a resume is uploaded, there is no option to have a profile without a resume. I had to work diligently to close my account because links to close the account kept taking me to pages that were undergoing site maintenance or were otherwise ‘temporarily unavailable’. Perhaps in the past CB was legitimate, but it is trash now.

Not good. I uploaded resume & did my profile! 3 days later everything is GONE!!! Now when I try to upload my resume (mind you I just did 3 days ago) now it’s says “file is either empty or too many pages” ITS ONLY 2 PAGES not empty in the preview either!!!! Also I had a interested employer email me,but there is no way to contact them. no link provided and when these career websites do that; there’s no message in your inbox you can only do it from your personal email. Every other app that emails you the same thing there’s a link included to contact the employer back. All except for CareerBuilder! UGH

The Absolute Worst Resource!!. I recently subscribed here and uploaded my resume THEN the next morning I began receiving harassing calls and texts from fake employers (SCAMMERS) attempting to retrieve my personal information. I never experienced this on Indeed or any other reputable sites….I’m still being harassed AFTER I uninstalled this app and deleted my account. I never should have created an account on Career Builder…BEWARE of all those replies that contact you quickly and ask you to to download TEAMS to do a fake “faceless” interview with someone who uses a gmail account instead of a work email…Career Builder is infiltrated with SCAMMERS!

Worthless. Resume disappears/says I don't have one uploaded sometimes when opening the app. Job recommendations sent to email have NOTHING to do with resume/experience/education...literally ZERO correlation (I get emails about truckdriving and insurance sales/scams). Stay away from CareerBuilder unless you want to be solicited by despicable life insurance agents non stop and you enjoy having scammers and email phishers having your information. I have not received a single workable lead from this app/website. It is the worst of all available job search tools. I now get emails from all over the world trying to scam money because apparently anyone with a computer can access your personal details on your resume. Don't set your job search back, STAY AWAY. No reputable companies use CareerBuilder.

Does not work in many basic areas. I could not upload my resume although I was within the file type and size parameters; had to spend an hour to build a resume in their native format. After all that trouble, every time I push “apply” on any job of interest, it takes me to a login page that takes me in a loop and does not actually take me to the job application. In essence, if I can’t apply for jobs, what use is this app to me? Maybe navigating through other platforms makes a difference ( I am on an ipad) but that should be clearly indicated, to avoid frustrating users and to deliver on the most basic promise that one cam apply for jobs with this app. Two thumbs down.

Scam jobs.. I had literally 3 jobs contact me about work from home. One job stated it was work from home and the interview process was only done by message through Skype. I knew something was wrong because the person said his name was David Walker but in the email it’s was under a Chinese name Huang. They sent me paper work to try and get my social and once I took a step back and looked at the address on the paperwork and used google…..it was a run down building in west Philly. Won’t be using this app for job searches period. Vet the jobs period.

Waste of time. Tried to use this app a few years ago but found it to be lacking in its functionality (tools are there, they simply don’t work.) Also did not like the auto apply feature that shot out my resume to jobs the algorithm deduced I was qualified for (never mind that I was not interested.) Granted, I probably accidentally released my resume myself while trying to figure out how to navigate, and touching non-functioning buttons repeatedly (harder each time, cuz my brain likes to make me think my fingers are the problem.) Fast forward to today… figured bugs would be worked out by now, so I uploaded my resume and it auto-populated my info (some completely incorrect and impossible to fix on the app) and auto-assumed that I was ready for it to be published publicly (I know this because I already had 5 views before I ever ticked the “I need a job now” option. The job filters still do not work (on IOS app). I deleted the app and if I find the actual website to be as equally contrary as I remember it to also be before, I’ll delete my account altogether… again.

Diappointing. Hard to navigate, update, or get accurate postings relevant to my location. Most postings I get from this site are dismally irrelevant as to the keywords I enter into a search. I spend more time deleting postings than I do answering them. It’s nearly impossible to get this site to allow me to even do a search based on my location from the get go. All things considered this site is not worth the effort. There are other sites much easier to use that don’t waste your time.

Not user friendly. It’s difficult to move around. Multiple postings for the same job and you can’t combine them into a single post. Cannot remove the survey taking posts from the list. Basically have to scroll through all of the junk to find a possible gem. When job searching folks are already needing to do that and technology is supposed to help the process not add to it. And while trying to submit it seems others feel the same way as “Not Impressed” and “Not User Friendly” are already taken.

Bait and switch with every email!. Email about a job but the links NEVER take you to the job from the email. Seriously guys, upfront and honest wins every time! Thought this site was better than that. Also question why they never send me postings for my location even though I set location preference with a range of 30 miles. Live outside DC and keep getting search results for NC, GA, FL, IL, etc. Gah, there are so many other sites that get it right it doesn’t pay to search CareerBuilder and have to mine through the mess to find a real opportunity in my region. (Which, by the way, are also posted on the other sites.) Opportunity for improvement if you are reading this CareerBuilder folks…..

Jobs. I worked 35 years as a nurse and teacher of nursing activities. I love being with people and facing the challenges that daily life brings to each of us. The challenges and decisions helped me grow as a person and a productive healthy adult. I retired in 2007 but found that my days were long and I searched for something else to do! I started doing supervisory visits for Maxim Health care which I did till I started the job at Inovalon. During a time off I broke my ankle and I was out of commission for 4-5 months. We also moved from our large house to a condominium. Once again I was lost for something to do. This puts me up to the time we are at now. I am in good health and I have the need to work both financially and emotionally.I love the organization it takes and the ability to expand my knowledge.

Job spamming. Within hours of posting my resume I started receiving calls from staffing agencies about jobs that had nothing to do with what I was looking for or anything on my resume. The calls started at about 8 am and continued till about 8 pm with a frequency of about every 30 - 40 minutes. All the jobs were of low pay and for short term contracts. Not to mention the inconvenience of my phone going all day making it extremely difficult to search for a job that I’m actually qualified for.

How can I trust Career Builders? I can’t verify a company offering a job!. I was thinking about working at home, and clicked on the ‘Work From Home’ section of the Career Builders App. The first 2 listings had different, but similar job titles; however, the words in the first listing from a company called ‘USJ’ were similar for the second company called ‘American Online Jobs,’ which has a website. The website has a questionnaire on the main page. The first company does not have a website. I can’t find either company listed as a registered business in the state the company is listing the job. How can I trust Career Builders if I can’t verify that the listing company is legitimate? It seems like Career Builders must do a better job of screening listers before posting jobs! I do not trust Career Builders App anymore. Beware job hunters- scammers are looking for your information in a new way - job posting!

Halliburton Truck Driver, and Special Tools!. At Twenty-Four years of age with a Great Wife and two Children under the age of three, I’m looking for a job that I can learn and excel and that offers job advancement along with a career! At Twenty-Four with a wonderful Young Family I’m looking for a Challenge and a chance to prove myself in ANY AND ALL JOBS TO ACCOMPLISH MY GOAL OF ANY JOB OFFERED! MY ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO WORK FOR A GREAT ESTABLISHED COMPANY WITH ROOM FOR CAREER ADVANCEMENT! I’M READY TO START WORK LIKE YESTERDAY! MY FAMILY DESERVES THE VERY BEST THAT I CAN PROVIDE FOR THEM!!!!

Horrible functionality. There needs to be a way to block company names on here. A VAST majority of the jobs are for an MLM style insurance company that, if you know ANYTHING about MLMs it puts focus on recruitment OVER the actual product. You’ll get TONS of these, along with businesses that expect you to move to their location WITHOUT informing you till the interview has already been booked. This is even WITH selecting in my profile that I want to work where I live. I don’t trust this to get me a decent job because of these issues. Also, on their site it doesn’t seem to matter what job you put as what you’re looking for, you’ll get results for things VASTLY outside of what you’re looking for. Yeah, it can FEEL like something is happening when you get TONS of people asking for interviews, till you realize all the jobs are crap and the people are just recruiters who are probably getting a bonus for bringing you in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE AND USE SOMETHING MUCH MORE REPUTABLE!! To add even more, the majority of people I have been contacted by from using this platform are hardly professional despite claiming to be representing businesses. Oh, and it doesn’t accept Linkedin’s resume format for some reason.

App non functional. I’ve had resumes on my profile for years and it keeps telling me upload resume, even after I uploaded 3! more it’s still saying it! On top of that my profile headline lists my town and state for location but when I went into edit profile to correct my job title I noticed it is loading Sonora Mexico as my location and no matter how many times I correct it, it does not change!!! Now I realize why in 3 years if constant job search while working for an ungrateful retail business I have never received a single job listing alert that was even remotely matched to me!! This app is useless junk!

App could be much better; too many spam recruiters. Too many phone calls and emails from questionable recruiters who often call several times per day and send multiple emails for jobs either out of town or not lined up with listed experience. They are always foreigners who can’t speak English and dig for you to divulge personal information like your SSN. They obviously don’t bother to read your resume. App doesn’t allow you to check messages and can only check on a computer. Messages received are from bogus life insurance agencies attempting to recruit people to sell life insurance or jobs not that don’t align with skills. There are much better and more useful job search sites.

Quality inspection. The app itself is okay but you need someone that can screen the employers. There’s someone that reaches out to job hunters saying that their application was approved and requesting an interview on Skype. They pulled me in, sent a check for downloading accounting software that you would need. Now my bank account has been closed because of this and I didn’t pay better attention to it. Some of the work from home searches are bringing scammers to the surface and destroying people. Trying to warn others, please be cautious!!!!

New Career Job Seeker - Age late 50’s. Each position is well defined and has more info available, consequently I am able to eliminate options that simply will not work for for me. This saves myself and the company seeking applicants from having wasted time. I also really like the filter options because this allows me to search effortlessly from the options that I have experience in. I’ve had success in multiple industries so by filtering my search I can better review my best options for my next and probably my final career.

Not brilliant. The app covers some of the basic things you would expect but seems like it was designed by people with no flare for how it needs to be used. For example the most basic task of adding skills is a free form text field allowing the user to mistype and misclassify their experience, omit key skills and ultimately not be found by people searching for said skills. When entering the experience for any given skill the user is presented with a pull down with years from 1 to 50. This is not useful as Mooney cares if you have 39 years of experience or 43 years of experience. It’s just clumsy to use and not useful for the purpose it was intended for. Also the resume doesn’t populate the profile settings. This requires the user to manually enter info already uploaded. Dumb.

Not helpful. Applied to jobs directly from the app (easy apply) also notes jobs with openings and applied directly to their website. My resume is uploaded and updated. I hold a bachelor degree in management and several years of management experience. It’s almost like I don’t exist. Please ensure your job postings are correct and that there is a proper funnel once someone has applied. ie. phone number to hiring manager or hiring department of the job being applied.

Nice and all but. It shouldn’t eliminate completely the postings when users select “pass” what if I or any user is interested in a given job as a second option? While we want to see what else is published. Or if I can’t apply on that precise moment?. Just saying ... there should be options like save for later or something.

Removed resume and still getting 6-7 calls a day. I emailed the developers 4 times in the last 2 weeks. I keep getting over 5 calls a day, text and voicemails from companies that aren’t even remotely close to my line of work, on top of that I tell them I’m employed can you please remove my info, next couple of hours another call from the same company clueless about my recent conversation with the other agent. PLEASE TAKE ACTION AND REMOVE MY INFORMATION!!! I deleted my resume and contact from the app and nothing works

Error uploading Resume’ immediately after download & thereafter. After downloading this app, I experienced & continue to experience issue’s uploading the resume’ portion in creating the profile. An error message continues to proceed even after following its instruction to wait a few minutes to reload resume’ once more. I have reached out to customer support & will await their solution. I believe I may have to delete & re-download the app, as sometimes I would assume technology to glitch, or potential human error.

What did you do?. Here we go again, can't log in again, your really dropping the ball on this app! One day I could log in the next I can't of course I should only have to log in once. Maybe you should have left well enough alone with the old app, at least it worked. Thanks. Well another update that fails, can’t log on again just like this previous message says. You need to stop or remove this app, the last big update removed my resumes. I’ll be removing the app again!

It doesn’t update applied jobs. Just when I apply then close and reopen the app it says that I haven’t applied to any jobs idk what’s going on, I’m going to try and reinstall the app and see if that fixes the issue. I’ll update the review if it does. The issue wasn’t fixed at all, applied to over 27 different positions just for them not to post that I applied on my account. The jobs I applied to arnt showing in my applied jobs list. Fix and I’ll try again but as of right now indeed would be your best bet than this one.

Do NOT use this - READ the Negative Reviews If You Value Your Privacy. If you do decide to download this app, your inbox will be filled with questionable job offerings and you won’t be able to stop it. These offerings will offer a six figure salary, ridiculously low qualifications, and ask that you send your resume to a random yahoo/ gmail/etc. account. If you call in to customer service, they won’t care and will be completely rude. I wouldn’t even rate this service as one star....

To many emails & no direct hire jobs. I am in recruiting and refuse to use this site to look for candidates. If you are seeking a skilled job that is in your field of work, look elsewhere. Even though my resume is hidden, I still continue to to be contacted by outsourced staffing agencies that reach out to me for jobs that are not relevant to my work history. I am unsubscribed but yet my email gets blown up with job recommendations from CareerBuilder that doesn’t even match.

Surveys are not jobs. I keep getting the same job recommendations every day, and they are never really jobs-they all re-route to other job placement companies and/or survey companies. Doing a survey is not a data entry job-it is giving your own personal data stats to multiple companies and getting a tiny compensation for disclosing your own info. The worst!

Complicated + searching wrong area. Entered my location as Fox Chapel, PA for a salary of $50,000 but then you have another section to search and drop downs don’t include $50,000 just $40,000!! Then it’s searching, for whatever reason, Beallsville PA, not Fox Chapel, PA with nowhere to adjust or change thE error in location search!! This is a crazy app and needs your IT geniuses to fix it! Now I remember why I’ve deleted it in the past! Still a HUGE mess! SMH

Can’t stop phone calls.. I prefer to only get emails as I want to respect my current position. I do not have a phone number listed in my profile, and am unable to access the resume I uploaded to delete the phone number listed on it. As such, no employers are actually using the app to communicate and my phone rings and rings. The lack of actual control of your personal life settings is abhorrent.

Great app!! Seamless navigation and setup are just two reasons why I love CareerBuilder.. Navigation and setup of a profile was extremely easy. I am very satisfied with this app and my current experience using the service.

Im too Happy !!!!!. I usually dont even take the time to rate apps but this one has to be rated i have to show my appreciation for how easy and efficient this app is. I was told im going to be laid off at my current employer. So i needed a job fast! I signed up for this app and within a hour i got calls from people i applied to !!!! ONE HOUR! The next day i have 5 Zoom interviews. Day 3 i start my new Job ! Thank you Thank You Thank You !!!!!

Absolutely Awesome!. Best and most reliable information on jobs that I have found!! I absolutely love the variety and reliability of this site! It gives me hope that I WILL get a job again, after losing mine because of the CoVID pandemic. Thank you x 1,000!!!

What an Incredible App from the Future!. I'm so grateful for the services of Careerbuilder! I've had calls that seem always to say they got my resume at Careerbuilder! Other services are much harder to use and This us ALSO the one EMPLOYERS use !

The app doesn’t work, and I don’t either haha. The app crashes when I click on the profile tab. So I updated my profile on the website instead, but the app still shows that my profile is not complete. And now I’m being deluged with spam and scam emails masquerading as job info. Great. Careerbuilder has clearly outlived its usefulness as a company and has been reduced to preying on vulnerable people who are just trying to find a job during the pandemic.

Interview. I have gotten a few interviews with this app and another one but they are all scams I know it’s not you fault but it can and is very frustrating and annoying to think some one really interested in you as an employee just to get to the end and realize they are all scams this is all I get are SCAMS I have deleted a couple of apps so far and this one and indeed seems to be next I don’t understand

Many issues, iPhone 7 iOS 14.7.1. Despite clicking “save,” my information will not update. Selecting “work from home” shows me only jobs that require me to attend in person within 30 mile radius (even though I changed the radius). Search seems to ignore any terms I enter and shows me the same jobs over and over. Just use the browser version.

Job service. This is a great app to help find a wonderful job on line but needs to have customer service numbers to confirm that all the information given for potential employer is correct and completed to get the optimum results.

Contact. I really do like this app/site. I get lots of contact from this site I just dislike that if I go to the map my place previous gets deleted andThen I have to start all over. Other than that no complaints.

Worthless. The only thing this app does is allow you to view but not apply to jobs. You can’t change anything on your profile or resume so it’s worthless. I’ve been in staffing and recruiting 27 years so I know what I’m talking about. No wonder Indeed and Zip Recruiter has almost put Careerbuilder and Monster our of business! Overpriced trash!

Not so great.. Filters are worthless. If you want to see jobs posted in the last three days, be prepared to wade through jobs posted 3-4 WEEKS ago. Looking for part-time? Be prepared to look at full time jobs if you checked the part-time filter. Trying to stay within in 10 miles of home? Must be public school math because jobs 30 miles away is not within 10 miles.

Spam. I receive more scam TEXT messages a day offering jobs that pay $30-$35/hr than I do about actual jobs. It’s ridiculous and annoying. Something needs to be done about the scam because people are getting scammed from using this app and website everyday. This is the only platform the scammers are referencing where they’ve seen my resume. Not zipRecruiter, not Glassdoor, not LinkedIn… only CareerBuilder.

Irritated. So I just put my resume on my profile and had not even shared it and I had a hoard of people calling me. They were also calling me for jobs I would never work and I’m VERY irritated that it is obvious that this site is just selling info. They are not actually helping you. I did look at a few jobs but I was getting calls from the other side of the state. Not even in the area I was looking at.

Nightmare service. Do not use CareerBuilder. I don't know why there are so many good ratings. I am getting spam calls and emails everyday! They all come from people using CareerBuilder. I can't get them to delete my profile and data, even after getting an email confirming my requests. You will get spam calls everyday, sprinkled in with one legit email or call a week. Utter nightmare sifting through this junk. And I've had a job for months.

Too many fake/scam jobs. I signed up yesterday and this morning woke up to 7 emails with requests to “download Skype/Wire for your interview” Big red flag considering I’ve fallen for that before & it was a scam. Another red flag is that all of these emails said the pay rate was between $25-$35/hr…& this is for basic customer support/recruiting roles. Red flag #2. Do people actually get hired thru this app? This is incredibly disheartening for people that are legitimately looking for career opportunities.

Simple and user friendly.. Recently updated my profile and I’m giving this website great rating because it was a pleasure to use. I am looking forward to my future!

Spammy & scammy. Downloaded the app due to seeing a really funny and cool ad by career builder. Now I keep getting spam and scam job lead and offer texts on my phone. What a bummer! The one star is for the marketing and creative direction team for the commercial. **Update: After being mercilessly hounded by scammers via text and email even after making my resume unavailable for viewing, I decided to delete my account. This was an incredibly disappointing experience. Would not recommend

Career Builder. Good App! I was able to apply to many jobs at the same time. There was also a great selection of different types of jobs. The job type and location search works wonderfully. Thank you. I hope I can get a job out of all these applications.

More exact matches. I am getting a lot of emails and interviews options. Weather these are legitimate I have no idea. Most of them are part time and I am not looking for part time or jobs paying $15 an hour. So more precise matches would be greatly appreciated and at a $24 or more pay rate.

If your seeking fast and reliable job opportunities, seek no more. By downloading my resume to this app, I was almost immediate bombarded, with not only staffing agencies, but companies looking to hire me through the door. Within days, I had several phone interviews, since I was relocating, which led to multiple face to faces. Great All - 5 Stars.

CareerBuilder review. I have found a better than 90% of the jobs that is sent to me are totally irrelevant have nothing to do with my background and don’t even come close to anything that I am looking for in a desired career path. With today’s technology I’m sure there is a better way to hone down the search to a more specific criteria then Merli find even one word in the title search for and matching it with 90% relative and on related job postings I find this job board to be absolutely useless for anybody that is serious and looking for job.

Total hot garbage. I submitted a resume though this service. Now my resume is in the hands of all sorts of awful head hunters. I’m getting solicitations for jobs that don’t come close to my career level. The recommended jobs have NOTHING to do with my current career. I work in IT and get recommendations accounting, HR and all sorts of jobs that have nothing to do with my search. It’s like I posted my resume on a bathroom wall at a gas station on the Jersey Turnpike. Stay away. Total garbage here.

Applied 4 jobs. I applied for 4 jobs. Received 1 email notification. 0 job applications saved to my profile. ??? Now I am inundated with spam via email based on jobs I viewed and didn’t apply for, or jobs I applied for but that did not show up in the My Job Applications link (I don’t even know at this point) — even though I deleted my account. I am happy that I didn’t opt in for any other type of communication. I am spending the evening unsubscribing from a number of job networks.

Update Useless. Just another update to say this app is still totally useless. The update rendered the profile tab/page completely blank. Previous updates: I even get notifications now that there are new jobs for my saved searches and when I click the notification, I’m brought to a page with 2 postings from 4-6 weeks ago. I’ve sent feedback emails more than once and have received no response. But for the last several months, when I search for jobs either by keyword or by omitting the keyword to reveal “all jobs” in my city, I’m only given 4 results. All of the jobs in the list are over 3 weeks old. I’m not sure what the issue is, as the desktop site works fine. The app is essentially useless at this point.

Inconvenient. Everybody doesnt have a resume on file , i have a screen shot of my resume and this app wont let me upload it so i cant apply for certain jobs ... This app is highly inconvenient and its too hard out here for this stupid error everybody should have an equal opportunity to better themselves even the jobs that are posted require too much for the average person, I dont even wana give this a star worst app ever thanks for nothing

Nothing but non legit surveys and scammers. Every single data entry remote job I clicked on was “paid surveys”, which is NOT accurate! Enough with the surveys! I’m done using this app once I click on about 5-10 different jobs applications in a row and it was just all the same scan! Not to mention I just got scammed for my name, address and date of birth by an “employer” from this app and thankfully I caught on before giving anything else out. Do NOT use this app, just deleted my account!

To manny fake jobs. This app has way to many fake jobs and sale personal calling you isn’t worth getting on you constantly get notification for fake postings and scams and once you resume with you contact information is uploaded it’s never actually removed I deleted it and still get calls from sales reps that found my information on CareerBuilder

Haha. So like in the post negative about it, it is super sketchy. To be honest if you have not tried do not but if you don’t believe just read the 5 star comments super computer generated worse than I have seen in a while and they are so frequent. It’s sad these days you need to worry about the 5 star apps cause the bots they make to auto post 5 star “generic omg this was perfect” no 5 star review sounds like a real review, well I’m actually educated so to me it doesn’t. I’m sorry to those reviews who are real and think like a robotic sheep.

Over grown Arb’s needing trim. I had a lot of very tall arborvitae around my property Climb and Grind LLC did an amazing job at trimming them. Matt was awesome he made sure everything was cleaned up and all the stuff they cut down was out of the yard. Great communication with Shane and the whole crew. Would definitely recommend.

I love the easy apply system. I think when your bombarded with a lot of opportunities, I like the simple way of presenting my skills. Then if a company likes what I have to offer, we go through the total application process. Saves time and energy.

If I find a job lol. If I find a gudd paying job messing with this app... I will marry one of y’all for saving my life in time of need ... know it’s gudd men like me that get the raw end of the stick all yr long!!! But we continue you to push thrive for better but no changes come our way ... so we just stand!!!! We hurr trust

Do not post your resume on here. This app and service is a joke. Never have I ever received so many fishy emails and texts from potential “job offers”. They require you to download multiple apps to talk to them but cannot offer a job posting or ever explain what the job is about. Stick with zip recruiter or indeed to find jobs because this is scary how many scammers use your information off your resume.

Location location location. It’s good but hard to set a location for automated search🫣I keep receiving results from all ofer the US sent to my email. I only want results for my area and it is not showing how to set that. You can set for manual searching but not for automated searches that are sent to email!

Simple & Convenient. This app makes the browsing process so easy. The virtual reality map that shows jobs near me is REALLY cool. Just saw an article where this was ranked the 2nd best jobs app, behind Robert Half. That’s why I downloaded and I wish I had found this earlier. I love that this app uses a lot less memory on my phone, too. The other job search apps take up so much space that I have to delete things all the time. So I just deleted them and keep this one. I do wish there was a way to filter down by the employer, I hope they add that bc it’s one of the basics.

Love it. Very helpful in setting up resumes an love how they send you notifications about jobs you might be interested in, also they let you know when your resume has been viewed by potential jobs.

The only app that works for finding a job. Thanks to this app I could finally get a job, I was tired of submit applications everywhere, they just made my resume visible and the companies interested contacted me which it’s great when you don’t know where to start

Hired. I’ve been looking for new employment since q3 of 2017. Finally decided to set up a CareerBuilder account after dodging them forever. Ironically, I begin my new job in the field I wanted, this Monday. From creating an account to today it’s been 17 days. Not bad. 5 stars for comprehensive processes and jobs that have viable leads.

Does not protect your personal info. I am very disappointed, because the moment I added an updated resume I started receiving spam phishing emails and text messages. Even though I selected to have my resume as private, so that I can choose what companies receive my information upon applying, that option didn’t work and didn’t protect my personal information from fraudsters.

Why. This app seems like it can help you with your resume and everything but I would never know because there’s something wrong with it when I went to go make a profile it wouldn’t let me make one because it kept on putting in that I was an employer I’m not I’m looking for a job and he kept on asking me for my company name. If you guys can get this fixed and let me know I will have no problem giving you all five stars
