Need to know what's ahead for my next flight. Great app. I always want to be in the know. I love weather, fly often but get anxious at times wondering what's ahead weather wise for my next flight or while in flight. This is a go to app in my iPhone weather folder for traveling.

Make it simple. I should be able to put in a specific destination to see what I’ll be dealing with. Make it simple for people who don’t know what some of those abbreviations mean.

Accurate so far!. I’m a very nervous flyer, which is silly because I fly multiple times a year, but I still get nervous every single time! So I was happy to discover this app right before my 2 flights last week. I scoped out the three “recommended maps” and found them to be very accurate on both of my flights! I highly recommend this app if you’re a nervous flyer. Docking 1 star juuuuust because I think the UI is pretty dated, but can’t complain too much since it’s a free app.

This Flight Attendant Loves This App. I am a flight attendant and checking this app has become a part of my routine every day I am at work. It is standard for pilots to brief with flight attendants before each flight about what kind of turbulence to expect. Quite frankly, I find this app *at least* as reliable as the briefings I get from pilots, sometimes it is more reliable. There have been many times where the pilots have told me they expect a decent ride, but the maps I see on this app suggest otherwise, and this app has been correct. In fairness, after almost 10 years on the job I understand that turbulence can be difficult to predict, sometimes the flight is smoother or bumpier than this app has me anticipate, but I sincerely believe the information you find here is as reliable as any information available anywhere. Highly recommend.

A very good app to use. This app is very helpful, you can use it to see if there will be any turbulence during your flight, you can also use this app if you are getting into flying to check the weather. Overall this app has helped me plan many flights.

Perfect for nervous flyers. Nervous flyers can see that most times, turbulence is limited to small areas and often, airlines can fly around storms or choose a smoother altitude. Great job!

Good turbulence tracker. I've used the app to track chop for quite a few flights. Although I've never signed up to get a personal forecast, I DO read the ones the site admin gives others; their feedback us usually that he's spot-on with his forecasts. He reads the Jettison (sp?) maps quite well. I go through phases of peaceful/anxious/fearful flying, so this app helps me stay somewhat balanced. :-) Overall, it's a good resource for managing your expectations about upcoming travel in the air. Enjoy!

Best turbulence forecast app. I fly 100K+ miles a year and remain an anxious flier. This app helps reduce the anxiety because I can prepare for what we are flight into/through. I have also used the custom, detailed forecasts for international travel. Totally worth it if you’re like me and benefit from knowing if you’re flying into forecasted turbulence or going to have a smooth flight. Highly recommend!

Best turbulence app. Great app with a lot of information on the maps. I paid for the email report and was very pleased with how detailed it was!! It even came with a map showing where I could expect turbulence and what level it would be, in addition to the written report that detailed take off, landing and time in the air. Peter is a great guy! Thank you for helping all of us scaredy-cats!!

A Comfort While Flying!. I love and rely on this app while flying. I am an anxious flyer and this app gives me an idea of when and where we could hit turbulence. I often use it during a flight, when connected to wifi, to gauge when the turbulence will be done. It has been extremely accurate for me and I can't recommend it enough! The new update is awesome!

Great. Interesting app to learn about turbulence

Taking the edge off!. I don’t know how they do it, but Peter and his crew come through for me every time. I use their maps religiously before a flight. Sometimes I check them out days ahead and multiple times before heading out. I beyond recommend the detailed personal forecasts! Sometimes it helps just to know what it might be like. I find there has been. pretty high accuracy rate in all my time using them. Thanks!

Wonderful tool. Terrific app to help me get over my fears of flying even though I fly 40 weeks a year! Prepares you for when the flight might get bumpy and also tells you when to relax on your flight. The great tool that I am beyond thankful for!

Needs some modifying. I am fairly certain that this app gets it's information from adds aviation weather. On adds aviation weather on the turbulence tab it has not only FL310-FL410. But it if you go to the website you can select every odd altitude from FL450 down to 11,000'MSL. SO.... Why can't you select these altitudes in the app? The administrator got upset that I wrote him for this and said jets don't fly at altitudes below 310. Okay... So when jets are getting a bad ride in the 30s and would like to look at options in the 20s they have to go to a website which takes more time. Also. How about the turbine prop aircraft who would like to fly in the upper 20s? Great app and enjoy using it but there is one thing is love added. He knows what it is. If all altitudes were smooth it'd be perfect cus I'd always been in the 30s or 40s. But it isn't always smooth and we don't always fly in the 20s. Especially regional airliners who fly out of Dallas and stay within Texas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma! He got me on a soap box cus he accused me of writing a low review. It wasn't me!

Incomprehensible. D/l to get an idea of turbulence between Sydney-Beijing. Doesn't cover mainland Asia and no legends or other description to explain how to interpret the data to a novice.

Ok. As a pilot this app is OK, I am using PIREP Pro, much better turbulence predicting tool.

Works great!. This is the best little app that gives an accurate prediction of how bumpy your flight is going to be. Same functionality as the website.

It works. It gives you more then turbulence reports. It has WX too. The turbulence reports work well. I use this app daily to check my flights.

Excellent aggregation of Wx/TB data. Overall, I think this app does a very fine job of aggregating and making available the different types of weather reports concerning weather that might impact aviation. Information that frequent travelers such as myself are interested in knowing. It's easy to use, and makes complete sense when you look at it. Anyone who uses this app should familiarize themselves with weather and aviation terminology and symbols. This app is not for standard weather forecasts or current ground weather conditions.

Great App. One of the best Apps for Pilots, would give it 5 Stars if you could save maps for offline viewing. Thanks for making this app compatible for iPhone5. Bought the Add Removal simply out of principal, very nice!

Need more info. Why is there not info on down into the 20s for when the 30s are turbulent. NOAA has those charts complete from 10,000-450. This is only good when 30s are smooth, and even then you don't know if your climb or descent will be choppy. Poor choice to give a small range of altitudes. Why can't you include turbulence in the 20s? I would change my review if you did that. As it is, it's semi useless to me.

Used to be better. Why did you change to 3 slightly different shades of red to show sigmets and connective sigmets outlines on the current advisory pages? Super hard to decipher. Go back to the different colors! Other wise great app

Great app version of an amazing web site. Been waiting for the app version of the Turbulence Forecast web site since I first stumbled upon it a few years. Not a great flyer and this site is absolutely essential for those that want to know what to expect once in the air. Tons of maps and forecasts that are easy access. Most get for the nervous flyer.
