No need to charge for service. Many other newspapers. (Vocero, primera hora, Metro) don’t charge customers service and the news are the same. Think about it . All of us have the rights to know what is going on with out issues in the island. It is very annoying to receive a pop up message about some very important news and while reading, cutting up with a screen right on your face “only for subscribers “ . Come on ENDI you dont live ob us who pay for subscription, you gain on advertising. Don’t cut our ways to be accesible to you.

So you need to pay. Looks like they ignored the fact that the app should say “In app purchase”. For after a few day of you using the app and reading the news, they start blocking every news you try to read with a subscription screen, promoting you to select a 4 week plan. I’m deleting this app.

Bad decision. Used to be a free app and they try to sell you subscription. There a lot of ways to read this paper for free. When they decide to go COMPLETELY digital a would consider paying for this app. Sorry los Ferre Rangel have enough money, not giving them my $2.99👎🏻

My favorite part are all is awesome in any part of the world you can connect with your country and support our fellows brothers from our country and stay in ups and down like we all remember the ones that we all suffer in all the ways for the families that lost their love ones. No funciona!. This app is useless. I pay a subscription and I can’t use the app because it freezes as soon as I tap on a news article... any news article.. the first one I tap. I have iPhone X, running on latest OS, and app is updated so I have to believe the latest OS update broke it. I have to cancel subscription by the 24th if patch is not available.

Easy to use and to set-up. Works great!. Unfortunately, not always the case with other apps.

My take. It has, like a large part in media, become less about journalism - just the facts, ma’am, you know - and pushes an agenda delicately drafting headlines and spins on the facts that Walter Cronkite wouldn’t have repeated. It has excellent writers, it’s just that their opinions inject into the story and obscure the facts.

Application is buggy. I uninstalled the application and reinstalled several times; unable to login

Too many ads and not all news available. Too many ads and only some information available for annual subscribers. We pay annually but, only one account can see a ten news.

Made a bad application worse. During a time of crisis in the island of Puerto Rico you're forcing people to have to sign up in order to see the content, news and information because now you want to charge for something saying you get the first month for free but your greediness will be your downfall as I and many other people will surely delete your poorly made app and get another source of news after all we only had it because it was free not cause of the high quality of design or content.

Paid Articles. I used to like and enjoy this newspaper but they have recently request a subscription for specific articles to read when you can get the same info for free using their counterpart PrimeraHora. Why do you have advertising then? Not good. I don’t even know why this app is a 4.6 with all those bad reviews!

Unable to access English translation on my iPad. I purchased a subscription to the paper some few weeks ago, but I am having difficulties in obtaining translations of the articles. I completed a survey from the paper and mentioned this problem on the comments. A kind woman called from the paper to assist me, but she also was stymied and gave up. I am still frustrated about this issue. I wish someone would contact me again. When I phone in to speak with someone, there never seems to be someone who knows English. I am trying to learn Spanish and fair in my understanding when I read or listen, but it is still difficult to speak Spanish. If I could check myself after I have read an article, it would be great. Someone help me!

It is imposible to use. Every time I open the app to read the news, it displays an error message that covers all the reading area and then the app closes. I tried re-installing it but this doesn’t work. Will uninstall it and going to install El Vocero app instead.

Search. The only reason they didn’t get a 5 is that it doesn’t have a search engine. I would like to search something old that couldn’t read at the time.

Add a proper Search function!. Generally decent app but lacks proper search. I have to go to my browser to find anything!

App pervasively blocks news to coerce subscriptions. Clicking on a regular news article—that is not a premium article for subscribers only—prompts a pervasive pop-up telling you to buy a subscription. You cannot read anything. The app is useless unless you have a subscription.

Logging Issues. It sign me out everytime that my cellphone goes into hybernation mode.

Content quality. As Puerto Rican newcomers that has been living in the island for the past three years, I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of writing as well as the quality of news coverage via El Nuevo Dia. I also receive digitized news via cell with about four interruptions daily as “important“ news but the substance is about nonsense issues. It’s mostly about killings or who is being jailed or what court battles are in process. This is incidental info that is not truly newsworthy. Overall, your level of coverage is highly disappointing and not indicative of good news coverage nor is it illuminating for a constructive understanding of key issues. The newspaper has become of disagreeable taste and harkens back to days of old when El Vocero was truly trashy and about bloody events. Pls improve the quality of news! This is shameful coverage to say the least.

Too many Notifications. Endi please no more late night notifications! Unless it’s a real emergency. This is the app for the main newspaper in Puerto Rico. Therefore the only reason to install is to keep abreast of what’s happening in the island. Since it’s the official newspaper basically they are an integral part the news cycle. However, please be aware that the newspaper sends notifications several times a day including after 11 PM at night. That could actually be intrusive to some people and a turn off. Simple you can turn off notifications then you would have to voluntarily be looking at the application.

Invasive adds. Your last update has VERY invasive adds. One just scrolled a little and the adds takes over the screen. I understand you guys need to make money, but you are creating a disservice by not letting one focus on the news of interest. I DELETED THE APP. I got annoyed of this strategy. By the way... Strategies like this is counter to marketing... it makes me not want to buy anything that has to do with the adds. In this case I started hating Fender very quick. I’ll seek news somewhere else... forget this app!!!

Very good, but could be better. I enjoy this app, but I wish it had an easy to use search function. I’m a subscriber and sometimes it’s hard to find something I may have read in the paper the same week.

Horrible. Every time the app tries to load an ad it freezes and the whole interface gets stuck. It makes it impossible to read the news.

Expensive and Frustrating. Had to delete it. After a few years of using it, they added a subscription service for opinion articles. I understand that. Its necessary for the newspaper to make money. You used to know which articles were subscriber only because it would tell you. The app still tells you which articles are behind a paywall. What the app doesn't tell you is that MOST of their articles are now behind a paywall, even those that don’t tell you before you click on it. Download this app if you want to receive push notifications for articles you cant read. Do yourself a favor and use another source for PR news.

Ads an accessibility issues. There is no search on the app and despite the fact that it is a paid service it was way too many ads.

Unsatisfactory. Cheap quality... $2.99 per month to read a few poor news is a joke.

Update problem... again... with IOS 11.2. Since this update the application can not be used. Every time I try to read a news story, it only stops working or responding (freeze). I’ve tried to re-install but still don’t work. The developer still can not solve the problems and it takes too long to do so. I do not understand how the main newspaper in PR has an application developer that fails so much. Thank God he does not develop applications for banking. UPDATE (December 13, 2017) - Version 4.2.2 (minor bug fixes and other improvements) still has problems. When you are reading the news the application closes suddenly. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the problem persists. I do not understand how the developer still can not create a stable version. Perhaps by reducing the focus to the large number of ads they place even for subscribers who pay monthly... UPDATE (April 25, 2017): Called (again, look the time between my updates) to El Nuevo Día to report the continuous problems of the application and apparently nobody knows or has the interest in solving it. Reading the answers given by the developer to the reports of problems makes you feel the lack of respect to the subscribers with answers totally out of reality. El Nuevo Día should get developers more committed to providing quality in the product and reasonable support (unacceptable that it is still such an unstable application).

Epaper feedback. The application is very slow. I have e paper in my tablet I a have a hard time using the zoom option and reading the e newspaper

Still freezing after trying to touch and open an article.. I have an iPhone 6S with iOS 11.2 and this app still freezes. The bug hasn’t been squashed as the developer claims. I have to go to the website to be able to browse news.

Sign in???. I dont want to have to sign in just to read PR news, Ill find other source

[EDIT] Notification Bug. Every time I tap on a notification, the app opens but stays loading for ever. I have to manually close the app and open it again in order to read the news. UPDATE: The bug has been fixed. Thank you!

Free access to news. Access to readers should be free to users, not through subscription. Almost all relevant newspapers apps have moved on this direction.

Expensive news.. El Nuevo Día charges for reading the news after you have read them a certain amount of times. That is unacceptable when there are other great news apps that are free of charge.

El Dia review. Repeatedly difficult for paid subscribers to log on to site. Every time I use the app to try and read my paid subscription to El Nuevo Dia..... it requires me to log in with an account number.... then add my password.... then wait to receive an email from El Nuevo Dia.... then I can hit the email sent tab and log into the paper. This is now happening repeatedly for over 2 weeks.

Too many annoying ads. Little original content....too many sponsored news and articles

Subscription required.. Does not allow to read any news unless you are subscribed. Even those unmarked for subscribers only. It used to be a better app before it require a subscription for every news headline.

Frustrating. Frustrating. Already a paper subscriber, the system did not recognize my subscription. I felt forced to pay for an additional "online" subscription. Now the app makes me manually log-in every single time I try to read an article! Even worse, the now the app will not recognize my password –even after resetting it ! Considering to un-subscribe.

Editorial review imperative. Too many writing errors. The person who wrote the breaking news, don’t have any knowledge at all about weapons.

No subscription no news. I’m deleting the app because lately this app won’t allow you to read ANY articles without a subscription. I didn’t mind watching or having ads on it to get some of the news free. Hope you can get back to that.

Poorly made app. Freezes way too often. Want to emulate major media in the “subscription and comment participation proceeds ” but need to improve considerably before wanting to emulate the big guys!! Could easily be much more useful and informative if they want!!!!

Forces you pay a subscription.. The app seems to be great but even with the included annoying in-app adds, it forces you to pay a subscription for most topics. Fail.

Paid news. This was a free app. Everyday it’s less free to the point that now you open it and can’t read NOT EVEN ONE ARTICLE if you don’t pay. Terrible.

Pay for read?. Can’t believe you need to pay for a web newspaper mostly copying news from AP and other newspapers.

Constantly updated. I use it every day to read on Puerto Rico. Could it be better? Sure, just drop the amount of commercials, but overall it works decently and news are constantly updated unlike some of the international online papers

More of the same, only this time it's not free. Instead of charging $2 for outdated pictures and videos, why not charge that for an ad-free app??? The continuous ads are not only distracting, they take up screen space - making font smaller and sometims covering the news. IMHO, not worth it.

Log in required?!. This app never required its users to log in before. Today, in order to read an article, any article, it requires you to log in. This was a free service for reading news in the past and now requires log in and possibly subscription by doing so. Needs a fix asap as the online content is not the same as the paid paper version sold for subscription holders.

Won’t run in iPhone 11. Migrated to iPhone 11 and App won’t run anymore, support option doesn’t work either!

A very small step in the right direction. Still missing: landscape rotation. The app only works in portrait position, so if you like holding your device in landscape mode, tilt your head to the side. I think this is the only news app that does this. The new interface is nice, but now is more of a commecial platform than a news platform: They want to sell you stuff and subscriptions (paper) so badly that they will change the app to bombard you with pushy selling ads all the time.

Subscription..... 👎. I don’t pay an app that I saw news for free without any charge since the first time that I downloaded the app... Very frustrated with you all... Free or nothing, sorry

Unsatisfied Consumer. El Nuevo Dias has implemented a subscription scheme where you need to pay $3.99/month to have full access to their content. If you don't want to subscribe you have access to 10 news articles for free in any given month however it doesn't work. We're in August and I haven't read any news article and the App still blocks me claiming I have reached the limit. Please fix it.

It's annoying, the news is not free to read any more. It's annoying when you click on a news and it requests a payment to read it, it used to be free The rest is very good like the design, it's easy to navigate and it's fast.

Good but need iPad app. I love the El Nuevo Dia news app. I use it every day, more that one time. It has always the latest Puerto Rico news and interesting worldwide and business news too. It only needs an IPad version app that could make it easier to read that the iPhone app. The iPad app could feature the same tabs but with more content. Like video in the same news, comments and social network uploading.

Clean and elegant interface. Digital newspapers have a visual style and ENDI has opted for an uncluttered, minimal approach. I really like it, but here is some nitpicking: 1-Better font size control. For people using iPhones and not iPads, this could be important. The size control is buried in the settings but it should be an option for every news. The maximum font size should be bigger (take a look at iOS Safari reader mode, it works remarkably well). 2-News archive or "save for later". Looking for news after 1-2 days of being published? Good luck. Now you have the option to save your news but with a "share" menu rather than a "save for later" or "history" tab. Overall a very recommended app but some details would make it outstanding.

Subscription Needed??. Wors Update Ever!!!! I can't even read news anymore used to be able to keep inform while on the go now cant even do that!!! It reqiest to pay in order to use no free access... will be deleting soon and getting a new platform that will allow me to be inform while on the go... ENDI (GFR Media) just decided to only provide its content to user that are willing to pay for it, sad approach after so many years....
