Mobile app. Will not work most of the time. Can’t change subjects

Does not work. Updated the app stopped loading a new update came out in a couple of days downloaded and still doesn’t work. Very Disappointing. Updated again and still not working even deleted and reinstalled and still won’t work Update still not working do any of you care your product is defective Updated again still not working uninstalled and reloaded with no resolve. This app needs major help 6-2-21

No need for location services-remove the requirement. You do not need my location for me to read the news. For some reason you all decided you had to have location services on to track everyone when you didn’t before. Remove this as a requirement from the app..You’d reach more folks.

Crashes. App crashes when you click radar.

Grant. Grant is the best weather guy I’ve ever seen explaining metrology.

Horrible App. This is by far one of the most user UNFRIENDLY apps. Local news is nonexistent, they troll Facebook more than do ant journalism. The live feed on here is a joke, most of the time. Sometimes I get a station from who knows where…pretty sad for a station that mentions this and their weather app multiple times per news cast. Almost useless.

Politics. It is still 2 years plus before our presidential election. The mud slinging has not stopped from the last one. The mid terms are coming up and I’m sick of the lying and vicious attacks shown to and by the candidates. Is there no way to stop this from happening?

KFVS. Keep up all of your work. I depend on your weather coverage. Hated to see Laura go. She was great. Callie Campbell if doing a good job as well. Love it when Grant Dade does the weather. Especially when we have sever weather. KFVS is my # 1 Station for news and weather.

After update can’t open app. After the most recent update the app won’t even open. Hate all the trivial alerts. Learned long ago to turn notifications off for the app. I would give this zero stars if I could.

News Review. I enjoy some of your “news articles” but they are so cluttered with advertisements it gets confusing wading through everything. Also, you leave too many articles up way past their consumption date. Many of your articles are inflammatory in their headlines especially when they concern the current administration. I assume when you post anything from AP you take it as is without doing any fact checking.

Ads. Would love to look at the news on your app but over half the screen is covered with a Roku ad. Love your channel but your app is not up to date, not intuitive and needs a lot of work.

Click Bait. Sometimes you’re worse than click bait. “Open app to see more” is becoming a common phrase. Sometimes we don’t have time nor do we want to open app for more details especially when you can put all the details in the push notification. Do better.

Randy. Way too many ads. Ads pop up constantly and the page has to always refresh because there are so many. Would really like to get the news instead. Seriously considering deleting the app completely.

Great. We’re from Mayfield,Ky. We have been watching your newscasts for quite a while now. We consider it far superior to other channels. Not only is you news & weather much better,your hosts & personnel are much more professional than others. Keep up the great work!

Pop up political adds constant. You can’t get through an article without being interrupted with this garbage. App is basically unusable.

great app. it was really nice to be able to watch the live weather broadcast while the tornado warning was passing through. i wasn’t able to be by a tv, you guys do a good job. no problems with the app, everything worked great

KFVS propagates Fake News. Seldom, if ever gives conservative views.. Do not watch anymore since retirement Weather is the only reason I keep the app. People are tired of being fed Leftist information.

First is Twelve. Before I check on the rest of the world as I rise each morning, I need to know what’s going on here in Southeast Missouri. KFVS, Channel 12 provides that information quite well. At 84 weather forecasts are absolutely necessary to determine whether or not I can get out and do local errands or drive to Cape to shop. Knowledge of the weather incoming, no matter the season, is vital to the health of senior citizens. So, thank you, Channel 12, for important news in the area and helping to keep seniors safe. Typos, wrong words, bad grammar. I know you hire college graduates to write your articles, but it seems like they haven’t passed 3rd grade! I am so sick of reading articles with bad grammar! Teach the children to use spell check and to read their article before they post it! Heck, have their coworker proofread their article before they post it! If you’ll pay me I’ll proofread ALL of the articles before they post them! I find something wrong everyday! It’s ridiculous and unacceptable, especially with the technology we have these days!

KFVS-12 review. I feel like you should have a section where people can write in and make suggestions and or to whom. If there is a story happening and we want to reply we would be able to. Otherwise KFVS- 12 is the greatest news station and we Love our News reporters. Our Weather group is by far the best. Love ya Grant and Laura your the cutest little thing but one suggestion to you , always wear darker solid colors it makes you look so adorable. Crystal your adorable. KFVS news. Takes forever to down load not worth the time it takes, old one much better

Interns?. Most nights this looks like a high school television station. Are you using all interns? Unless you have your tried and true long term anchors and weather people your news broadcasts are amateurish. The newer weather person Madeline Parker is an exception. She is good. The rest of your summer crew would benefit from an introductory speech class.

App closes. I open the app and then it closes back to App Store immediately. This has happened a few times since their “new” and “improved” version was introduced. Come on channel 12! Channel 3 and channel 6 apps work fine.

KFVS12 should keep their opinion out of their reporting.. The app works really well and and is reliable and easy to use. KFVS12, however is losing credibility as a unbiased news source by putting the reporter and anchors personal opinions in their stories. Why can’t the news just report the news and let the viewers make up our own minds?

Won’t open useless. I have always used this app on my iPad however for some reason now it won’t even open. Automatically closes when I click to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still doing the same thing. At this point I’ve just deleted it, it’s useless to me now.

Too many ads!. Just want to read some news. I can tolerate some ads, but wow! This app is worse than Facebook

Heartland this heartland that. If you don’t mind hearing the word heartland in every sentence KFVS may be for you. I have been watching wpsd tv for years just because I’m so sick of hearing heartland heartland heartland.

App problem. After the last update the app will not open.

Glitchy. I wish the news cast came through as problem free as the commercials.

Really Gone Downhill. I find it almost possible to find news items or watch anything because of the pop-up ads. It is truly pathetic. I have used the app for years and was always very pleased until recently.

Just frustrated. I downloaded new format. It’s going to take some getting used to I chose “breaking news” and it will coming across my phone then afterward in my app will show a number…it keeps adding up even after I get on the app How do I clear this number? And what is the number for? The breaking news? New articles? When I open the app it doesn’t show a notice as to where to find the breaking news for more info. Is it in tile #1 (just plain news) tile#2 weather, #3 streaming… etc… have no idea 🤷‍♀️ That would be helpful. Trying to like the app, really

Best local news app. This is my go to News app for my local area. Their weather app also keep you well-informed of changing weather conditions. I highly recommend both apps.

App. I don’t care for the latest app at all. Seems to be a repeat of the same news and not updated often enough

Missing 12. We can no longer get ch 12 with cable dish or direct tv. We miss everyone so much. This app is our only connection to our friends at ch 12

Great news. I enjoy getting the latest news on my phone

News anchor. Female African American - her rhythm is always off. Hard to follow and lesson to. Makes many errors and seems to have trouble pronouncing certain words. Not sure of her name, sorry.

Political correctness. I will never vote for another democratic the rest of my life, just because of what they have done the 2 years and because of what they stand for and what they are doing to our country

Good news station. KFVS keeps the area updated on latest happenings as they happen. Enjoy the special features such as Unsolved Mysteries, Wibs challenge questions and features on local people. Keep up the good work KFVS staff.

It just will not work..... The last 3 updates haven’t worked. It may just be my phone, but I don’t think so. It acts like it’s trying to load, but never does. I have to go online to view the news. I even tried shutting down my phone and restarting it. It didn’t work.

Alerts. Way too many alerts through the day. I don’t need 5 weather forecast each day. One will do. Alerts don’t need to be sent on trivial news items.

Garbage. New app and look is garbage. Nothing but click bait to try to get the notifications off your screen

Kfvs. I love KFVS news and weather. I am so comfortable when I have the kfvs weather on during stormy weather. No one can do weather coverage as well and Grant and Laura. They are the absolute BEST!!! I check in with the news every day and feel that I am kept up to date by checking in with kfvs. Just the BEST in my world!!!

Bring back our weather map!. The weather feature was awesome before, now it stinks. I really liked how it was up to date to the minute, you could view it from around the country, it had arrows to help you see how the storm was moving, and you could pan and zoom with it. Everything that made it the best weather app is gone!

Great. Not really sure what's going on with the bad reviews!!! I think this new version is great :) had no trouble loading it and it is working really well for me. I LOVE KFVS!

Decent app. I don't understand the poor ratings. This app is as good as the national news apps and doesn't crash as much either. The weather section could be improved for zooming in and out and changing locations but otherwise, this new app is fine!

Liberal. The APP is much better, but the content is still way to Liberal.

Boo!!! Yuck!!. The new app needs a lot of work. I didn't think there was an animated radar either but after reading each title one of them says it is. However I was at Cape an hour ago and it was showering at the mall and the radar loop didn't show anything. Also heard a weather alert on the radio for Mississippi county. The radar showed a little pop up blip and then it was gone. The maps are so distorted and I don't like that you can't zoom in or out. And whenever I press the back button the app kicks back to my home screen. I also dislike the ads that move to a new space as you scroll. As I said in the title boo, yuck! The old app was way better. Please fix this! There is no newscast anywhere that is as good as KFVS 12. Your new app does not live up to the quality the Heartland has come to expect from you.

Ok app, notifications are annoying. All I wanted was an app that gave me IMPORTANT local breaking news updates. What this app gave me was constant ridiculous notifications that didn’t even qualify as breaking news, such as sports, and pointless updates. Eventually I had had enough and deleted it.

Lots of problems!. Weather on the old app was much better! Please bring back the live radar maps instead of these skewed maps that can't be resized or scrolled. It shows there are 4 screens, but unless I am missing something it is only 2 maps shown twice. News stories can't be read in their entirety because you can't scroll down past a certain point. Thought maybe you scrolled to the left like reading a book on kindle or in iBooks but that only takes you to the next story. When you tap back to go to the list of news stories it closes the app. The evening news last night reported about 900 downloads of the new app and numerous favorable comments, so what am I missing? I'm beginning to wonder is this was beta tested at all or maybe they need some new testers.

Great...until.... I really liked this app until they started using the alerts to advertise when there next broadcast is & other random information. Being "alerted" of random information is tiresome. The only purpose I haven't shut off the alerts is to be alerted for bad weather as my area does not have storm sirens within earshot. Please stop with the extraneous alerts.

Hard time opening..... Love this local app for news! The last couple of days, it's either delayed to open or won't open at all. Please fix!

Disappointed and expected more!!!!!'n. I personally liked the old app better because of the weather,digital radar, satellite views . The looks of the news and entertainment . I just expected more and better. I deleted my old app for this and now I am deleting this new one.

Updated app. This update is awful someone needs to fix it or give back old app this only works about 1time out of 10 hate it

Sad. Video is blurry most of the time and the long breaks in between sets is ridiculous. Really bad streaming

Needs to be fixed. I used the old app all the time and it worked fine. When I finally had to download the new one it worked ok until the ads got added to it; that made it extremely slow to load. Now that I have upgraded my phone to the iPhone 4s it won't even let me get past the set up page. So until it gets fixed I am stuck with no way to check current news. Not happy!!!

Radar a no no!. Can't stand the new radar. It is so muddled, and just like all the other stations, which are terrible too. Your old radar is what made your station stand above all those. Please return to the nice clear radar which allows us to zoom into our location, and lets us plan our activities accordingly. Gave it one star, because it won't allow none. Thank you!

Bring back ustream.. The old app was a lot better, the news was more up to date, the weather warnings were actually broadcast onto the app, and the old app was quicker. Someone's job performance at kfvs needs to be evaluated.

Senseless notifications. Please. Please make a kfvs12 sports app or stop sending out so many notifications. I am so tired of getting notifications about every sport score or what is coming on CBS. I understand I could turn off my notifications, but then I wouldn't get important ones that I need to know about. I appreciate the app and the work that goes into running it, however, I don't appreciate the constant notifications.

Not bad…but the alerts are excessive. The app itself works just fine and for the most part, I liked it - until they started sending out alerts to advertise the next broadcast. My biggest complaint are the alerts for the breakfast show that come in around 6 am and sometimes earlier. It would be one thing if I actually lived in the viewing area and got up that early, but I don't, and therefore don't appreciate being awakened quite that early only to see an ad containing random info about the upcoming newscast. I wouldn't mind if it were actually breaking news…but this app is the only reason I turned on the "Do Not Disturb" feature on my phone. Not cool. An option to choose the type of alerts we get would be great.

People rely on your apps.... ...and you are letting us down. Desperately tried to see the severe thunderstorm hitting Poplar Bluff tonight on the radar. Nada. Nothing. No radar, not even a current weather report. I relied on the old app to know when to gather my family close in a safe place and felt helpless tonight as my home was hit with 64 mph winds. I feared a tornado, but had no idea because my electricity was knocked out. This app let me and my family down in a big way. I want the old app back.

This is great!. I don't understand the bad reviews! This new app is much sleeker than the old one and the weather radar is very handy. I love the way you can pick one article and swipe left or right to go to the next or previous article. Very handy app and it's always up to date on local news and weather.

Weather radar not good. The new app is useless as far as weather or the radar. I have contacted kfvs12 many times over this. With that being said anyone looking for good radar maps there is options: look for Lsn,Inc download any of them that are close to you. They are just like the one kfvs12 had and are accurate. Also, wsil3 has a very good radar, and then wpsd is good. I hope this helps. I only used 1 app until kfvs ruined it, since then I have some very good ones to use from other sources. Also, the apps that I use from Arkansas has better news coverage. Also, for some reason the update they just released does not allow the radar to work. The other reviews are correct, this app is terrible.

Please Don't delete the old app!. I am in favor of change, but only change for the better and this new application is NOT for the better. The old application is much better in every way, particularly the weather page. I rely on the "Animated Radar" on the old application to make plans almost everyday. I will not be able to rely on the new app weather page to plan my day. The entire app layout is not user friendly and needs to be changed back to the old app layout. The best thing that I can say about the new app is that the icon on my phone is clearer and sharper than the old app icon. Please don't delete the old application.

Completely ruined... After seeing all the bad reviews, I decided I would finally download the new app due to curiosity. Wasn't let down. Exactly what everyone said. I checked the old app all the time for weather and loved it. This app is horrible! Missouri looks tall and skinny. My county looks foreign to me and I can't even locate where I am at in that county because it is misshapen. How will I plan things?!?! Took a perfectly good app and ruined it...

Frustrating. Every time I click on a story to read it and try to return to the main page it updates and reshuffles the headlines. I am not able to find other headlines I wanted to read before it shuffles them again.

Good but not great. If you need the news and weren't able to watch it while it was airing on tv them this app is the app for you. While it leaves much to be desired it is functional and gets you the news for the tri-state area of KY, MO, & IL.

Breaking News Alerts. I really like the Breaking News Alerts very much, BUT Kfvs has started using these alerts as advertisements to watch the next newscast! These are NOT breaking news stories! Stop misusing this valuable function, otherwise a lot of app users will delete the KFVS 12 app all together!

Typical everything-that's-wrong-with-the-news-media. In theory, I like the idea of having a local news app in Cape. Specifically I would like to receive notifications of interesting things going on around town and/or emergency weather alerts that are more specific than the common NOAA alerts you can get on any weather app. Instead KFVS chooses to send me all kinds of fear mongering, gossip-like headlines and come across as desperate for my attention. Feels like SPAM. Every notification is "so-and-so killed their mom and 3 kids," or "so-and-so commits suicide at the age of 43." Makes me wonder if people commuting all this local crime were driven to do so by listening to KFVS news. If you want an app that is constantly letting you know when there was a shooting, or who's going to jail for what, then you might actually like this app. The app itself is a bit glitchy (as you would expect from a locally funded app). Crashes out every once in a while. Zero innovation. If I asked you to think of what a local community news station app could bring to the table, your first thoughts are exactly what this app is. Articles, weather, and some videos. Seems like there is a lot more they could do in a positive sense if they put in a bit more thought. I gave it 2 stars because, at least it works.

NEEDS WORK. The new app needs work, especially on the weather part. The maps are VERY distorted. For the best weather coverage I use WPSD. The "button" to leave comments doesn't work, maybe it will when improvements have been made. I liked the old app better: why try to fix something that isn't broke?

Needs work very poor. Crap app. Since the new update the app won’t work and just crashes
