OUTSTANDING. This scanner is the best I have ever used. It presents in real time. Totally authentic, covers the entire world, and the clarity is outstanding. I find I can hear news as it happens, even before the events hit the broadcast media.

Disappointed. The app works well when it's open, but you can't do anything else but leave it open. You can't text, you can't look on another app. It's very activating!!

Police 50 scanner. When I paid for my phone bill on a monthly basis, it worked enough to get a little info. Then I got poor and started using free cricket SIM card. I finally get the app AGAIN, and every 60 seconds there’s a AD. So then I pay 1.99$ to have AD’s removed and now all it does is buffer. Buffer, & buffer . So now I don’t get any information. Absolutely LAME. Talk about a money scam. B.S.

Ads. You can’t listen with all the ads coming up and asking to buy stupid stuff you don’t need

Good but. This app works well but it has waaayyy to many pro motions for the “full version” love it otherwise

App is junk. Never once heard a single radio transmission as the app was nonstop buffering, even after paying $ for the upgrade. Completely disappointed.

Great scanner. I’ve had this scanner app for years. I use it only for the railroad near me and have never had any issues. Great scanner if you pay the one time fee for life without any interruptions.

It’s early in my usage of it.. But I’m having to close and reopen connecting poorly.

PLEASE FIX the reporting feature for iPhone!!!. When you click to report an incident; it isn’t showing up at all. Please fix that feature. It’s no longer showing up. You can click on the ‘REPORT’ button. However; the report that you made does not show up. Neither does anyone else’s. ~ Repeat: The reports that you make do not show up. ~ PLEASE FIX!!! When you fix this incredibly essential feature, then I will rate you five stars again. This feature is what sets you apart from other police scanner apps. I am disappointed that I paid for this app; since the reporting feature no longer works. Also, please update! This app has not been updated in 2 years!

Same. It’s about the same as all the others except it interrupts every 5 seconds or so to try to get you to pay for the app. Nothing really great about it.

Getting tired of having paid. I paid and still have problems getting into premium area or paid for part meaning I keep getting asked to upgrade

The BEST!!!. I have tried half a dozen different police scanners some have more bells and whistles but this one has the best steady reception.

Don’t Waste your time.. I was desperately trying to listen and was interrupted by an ad.. an ad that would not stop and would not go away. While you might be worried about your community, don’t forget to buy what they’re selling.

To many adds.. It works great but I have noticed there more and more adds coming up. I used to like this app till all the adds. No longer a useful app. When you hear something or what you are looking for you get add that caused you to miss the call.

Listening to my Dad. My dad is a police officer and it is so fun listening to him and listening what crazy horrible things he gets into it’s an OK game but I hate how it once you to pay for it if you could please not make us pay because it is dumb to pay for something like that and anyone that’s reading this don’t pay for it it’s not worth it.

Love the App. I love the app a lot, but when I upgraded to the pro, it acts like I didn’t when I close out of the app.

Great app. Love my police and emergency scanner it works great and is fun two listen two only problem is my channel goes down for a day hear and there but overall worth getting thanks to the maker

This app best. I've tried all of the scanner apps. They all pull from about the same database. This app is nicer than most of the others due to the fact that people can report what's going on and give you a heads up if you like to swap channels are listening on different channels. It's also nice to be able to pay $1.99 and avoid all adds an interference. $1.99 is a small amount to pay. So I highly recommend this one above all the others.

Paid for the upgrade and it wants me to pay again. I just spent the money for the upgrade so I can use this at work in the background while I’m in other apps I turned it off and got back on and it’s asking me to purchase the upgrade again I’d like a refund for the 3 bucks I spent for nothing

Annoying ads. When will companies learn that people don’t buy things based on annoying ads. If you run an ad on an app I will definitely not buy it. Just charge for the app if you need money. Don’t make it free and then run ads. :/

Decent but.... My town does not show up anymore. They still have it on display but says buffering for ever

Police Scanner. I get a pop up add every 10 seconds I dismiss it it comes back again this is sickening I don’t get it.

Emergency 51. Great app that gets reception for any emergency personnel department! You can get live transmissions that keep you informed and on the situation, but less commercial sales would make this perfect

Disappointing. I paid for the pro version and I still get games popping up and I still got Build, but I get continuous reminders to upgrade to pro. Where is the Customer service button?

Rip off. The scanner app is great. Love it. The rip off is your upgrade. I paid for the upgrade and the next day , the upgrade was gone and I started getting the ad for upgrade. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere that the upgrade was for 24 hours only. I was ripped off.

Steals your money. Hello, I downloaded Police Radio this evening, to keep abreast of protests occurring in my area... First off, why not just make it a paid app up front? Why waste your customer’s time with ads popping up every minute and cutting out the scanner, forcing them to not be able to actually use the app?! Who in their right mind would use your “free” app in sixty second intervals only?! Just make it $1.99 from the bloody get-go! Second, purchased, or “upgraded“, in order to have a functioning app, and worked well, even when phone was put in sleep mode... awesome! Except later this evening when I go to use it again, all of the sudden I have ads again, and the same functionality I had is now gone! So, either give me back my “upgraded” functionality that I paid to have, or refund my money! Thank you.

I use to love this app... This app use to be pretty good! It always worked.. but now all the sudden even though I pay the money to upgrade it doesn’t work half the time! But my niece has the free one and didn’t upgrade and it let her hear what going on!

Scanner or scammer. This app works good However they get you to pay the 1.99 for uninterrupted scanning. It worked good that night. The next day it wants another 1.99. Humm When I paid the first one, it said it was one time. Guess that was false. 1.99 a day. You can keep it.

Works as it should. I've tried several of the police scanner apps and this is my go to app. It's also the only one I've paid for. The only problem that I have found is the app doesn't tell you when a channel or area isn't online or not working. The area I live in is silent. But I gave it 5 out of 5 because I really don't care about local channels because I have a actual radio for that.

Pretty much just like all the other scanner apps. This scanner app seems to be like all the other scanner apps as another person posted information is from the same database is so I am not quite understanding the upgrade thing that pops up all the time wanting me to upgrade and drop a few ads and have this thing work in the background when I can use Broadcastify and at least with Broadcastify they name the county and state of origin of the particular scanner this thing only name is the county AEE cook county or the city i.e. Chicago but it does not give you the state location of the particular feed that’s just pure laziness on their part and it could be done easily I think

No Longer a Fan. Used to like this app despite all the ads. But I hardly ever hear any info if ever. My friends still get info. I’ve tried removing & reinstalling. I even tried getting the paid app but still didn’t work. In search of new app that actually works.

Lousy.. The only good things about this app are it's free and it has my area. Other than that it's terrible. Every minute or two an ad takes over the screen and the sound. You must interact or it stays silent. You can't leave it on and do something else. You're forced to constantly monitor it. If the scanner is silent because there are no transmissions and it goes to an ad you aren't aware of it unless you look at the phone. Deleting it today.

What a rip off. I downloaded this app so I can listen to Police radio since I hate the ads and I decided to pay $1.99 to avoid these annoying ads, yet these annoying ads are still displaying. They just take your money and they still let the annoying ads run on the fully paid app. I want for you to refund me my money and I will uninstall this rip off type app

Ads after purchase. Twice I purchased this app for iPhone worked great until I closed reopened it it was say purchase again sent developers a email still haven’t received any info 😡

Same Junk. This is the same junk as all other scanner apps, however, this is worse. It stops the broadcasts to pop up an upgrade ad. When you select the only option without buying, “remind me later,” the same thing pops up 1 minute later.

Great App. Tried both this app and 5-0 Scanner. Found Police Scanner to be clearer to hear. Easier to use and purchase. Plus has a lighter footprint. Happy with this App. Needs more Aussie feeds which I'm sure will be done in future versions.

Buffering. That’s all it does and they keep asking for me to pay for it I would but it don’t work

Quality Product. Living in Australia, where a majority of our country is once again suffering through extreme drought conditions, minimal and non-existent rainfall, this app provides us with a further avenue of obtaining clear and concise information direct from the fireground and those whom are working that fire. In conjunction with all of the other information provided both online and via mobile services, as a person who spends a great deal of their working life on country roads, I am able to make up to the minute decisions on routes I should or shouldn’t take. It gives me a much broader peace of mind knowing I am able to make a better informed decision before I start to roll forward on the next job.

Excellent App. This app works really well and covers just about all it can. If you only want Aust Metro Police, can't get it, they are not in a format that can be covered by this app, BUT it does have some great aus channels. Perth Railway Police is one of them, SES and Fire in other states, will give amount of listeners for any given station and listeners can report incidents that are occuring on the channel currently, this app also works well with the Iphone Voice Over facilities for the Visually Impaired I give it 5 stars.

Pretty cool. Needs a background player or it needs to stop auto lock feature

Scanner. WILL NOT TURN OFF = FLAT BATTERY, Not that great for info for country areas of OZ. But then maybe we are boring !!!! Clarity and sound good over wifi. Needs a defined OFF BUTTON as will chew thru battery power. You think u have switched off app as all is very quiet ,5 mins later a broadcast comes thru ! And you battery is nearly flat. Still fun and impresses mates !!

Really cool app. I love listening to what going on it’s a really interesting app I bought the premium version for all of the people complaining about it just buy it it’s on 3:00$ and it’s quality I don’t recommend

Awesome. We used to have an old scanner years ago, had to be plugged into power to work, and used an arial which meant it wasn't able to be mobile. But technology has changed, and this App allows my iPhone to be become a portable scanner with the ability to listen in all around the world ... Great job guys!

Good App. Some reviews I had read said that this app was a fake. There was a huge fire not too far from where I live and when I heard the sirens I tuned in and sure enough I heard the police and fire brigade radio comms. It works. Could use Victoria metro though. That would be cool. Still good though.

All good. It's like nypd blue on your mobile. Heaps of different cops channels on your mobile so what I had to pay 2 bucks after listening for a while, it's what I like to listen to..

FREE??? - RUBBISH! Listen for 5 seconds then ad to purchase. I'm tipping that iTunes will "cull" this post, but it shouldn't as this is THE TRUTH of the matter. There's nothing wrong with the app, except that when something is listed as "FREE", there's a realistic expectation that a user can make reasonable use of it right???? Apparently not!!!!!! By the time you select which channel to listen to & it buffers up; you get around 5 seconds of AUDIO before the app "locks-up" and tells you that you need to purchase the FULL app to enjoy more! What a load of balony!!!!!!! I would understand it if you got say 5 or 10 minutes before "lock-up" occured (remember it's a Police Scanner, sometimes not much to listen to in 5 or 10 minutes), but 5 seconds? Come-on! You're kidding me right? Anyway, I got the paid app & the app itself works as described, but nothing much to listen to in Australia guys! Verdict : The "FREE" app is ABSOLUTE FALSE ADVERTISING The "FULL" paid app works as described, but nothing too exciting in relation to Australian content.

Gold coast review. Its pretty good but it needs a gold coast channel not just a logan channel but its still interesting to hear how dumb some of the cops are around the world

Grrrrrrr..... Not sure if it's just me but the app is constantly crashing. Plays for a few minutes then...nothing. Hard to find a good English speaking channel ...hope I'm not being too harsh. Needs to have inner city police station in each state or at least Melbourne and Sydney.

Pretty good. Great application, need to be able to purchase via Apple AppStore instead of "in ap". It is bad enough that Apple stores my credit card details, some small random overseas company Doesn't stand a chance of getting my money which is frustrating as I wish to purchase it.

Pop up interruptions. The more pop ups I get while I am trialing this app the less likely I am to actually buy it. Got that ?!

Highly entertaining. Just the most amazing insight of the men and women of our emergency services. I have found a new respect for the work that they do in our community. The app itself has a simple and effective user interface, loads quickly and runs flawlessly 5 stars from me!

Not as good as 5-0. Audio stop every time a add's pops up, add's pop up all the time and app audio dosent run in the backgrand, if you press the home button or your Iphone auto locks the audio stops. Not very good ! If you want a real scanner app thats 100% free with no audio stops even when you press the home button and use your iphone with other apps thats dosent use audio and/or you lock your Iphone, and with NO POP UP add's then download 5-0 free version, the paid version just removes the add banner on the bottom of the screen.

Good app needs a few tweaks to be great. Great coverage on rural Vic. Would be nice to hear metro especially the region you live in. The other thing would be to have the app run in the background while using other apps, messaging, etc also maybe a map feature where you can enter in the details to see where the action is. Overall a good app A++++

Nice. Nice clean interface and real-time status updates on reports. Would be great if it listed the reports also instead of just providing number of reports for a given feed

One step ahead!!. Great app, pay the small fee for ad free and run in lock mode. Hook it up to you home or car stereo and try and keep up with the 50 or so LA dispatcher's working the airwaves at a insane level. Priority beeps going off like crazy and the female operators talk like they are stuck in fast forward. Would love to POCSAG their data signals and get a in depth look at what goes down in South Central.

It could be better. It needs more Australian scans and if it could change areas while driving along instead of having to go in and search for the area you at when your out of range or change states would be good. That would make it perfect.

Andy. Seems pretty good to me. No scanner I'm aware of can pick up a digital signal, but where police are still on analogue it seems to work well. I've used it in three Aussie states without a problem

Police Scanner. I feel like a real sticky beak having access to police radio as I'm near Tuncurry the Pt Macquarie gives me some of the local info that comes up and the NSW Police one gives me Nowra Goulburn etc they actually reported that bad accident at Braidwood the other day and said the highway would be closed off because of fatalities so if you were heading that way you had advance notice ,it can be quite interesting at times you realize what police have to deal with day in and day out they certainly have a lot to deal with in a days work

Very interesting and fun. Great app - I didn't even know you could get this info. Fun to listen to them talk about different stuff, or mention some incident. Can become quite addictive! Well worth getting.

Reasons why I deleted this:. 1. You can't play it in the background, you can't even have your phone locked. So you have to tap the screen every minute to avoid it stopping. 2. Weird lights and sirens flash if you randomly tap the screen, with no explanation as to why it was happening. 3. Location is waaaaaaaay off and just can't get it right for some reason.

Ok App. I'd like to see more Aussie channels. I find when my iPhone would lock itself, and I was listening to the App then I would loose the App. I would have to unlock my phone to listen to it again.

Fix this please. It's great to listen to but keeps pausing when the advertisement asking to get the paid one. This happens every five minutes. Also I used to be able to listen to the scanner when my iPhone was on standby and not in use so I could listen to it over night. Now as soon as the phone goes dark it turns off. Please fix these things. I used to listen to it all the time

Awesome!. Yes, it works. Has quite a few stations in Australia too, no NT though. However this version gives you 10 or so minutes of time before it cuts off and you need to buy it..... But Ill spend $2.50 from my next recharge.. Definitely!!!

Police Scanner. Love the app. However I was getting Vic police & Melbourne ambulance but now can't get either. Please fix this as it would really make my day. I listen all day everyday.

Extremely disappointed. I upgraded to "add-free". I keep getting adds every minute or so + Montreal isn't available, it used to be for years. It's the second biggest city in Canada. I hope this app is so disliked that it closes down.

So cool. I DO wish more cities in BC were listed, but the app is awesome anyway! It's easy to navigate, let's you save you favourite stations, and shows you where interesting things are happening at any given time (like shootings or chases). Highly recommend.

Worked for 1 day. I upgraded the app, next day asked me to upgrade again.

Bogus don’t work!. Recorded playing on a loop with most info muted out. If you purchase this App you get Nothing but the Free Version and Still asked to Purchase Again Prompt Constantly?! Not active enough. There was an active chase last night and it didn't really give any good frequency of it.

Not great for the money. I have many freq. that do not work always getting whoops. Example in Il. Lincolnway dispatch also Westcom north and south. .Haven't worked for a long time. These are in will co. Illinois.

This Scanner doesn't work properly. Don't buy this application at least with Puerto Rico Police don't work .After a few days Puerto Rico Police Scanner doesn't work my advised not to buy this application .

Took my money. Paid for upgrade to find out that it took the ads out one time. I used the app next time and ads are back. There no option to restore purchase, not happy.

Issues. This would be a great app if you would stop pausing it. I have already purchased the app. This is very aggravating.

Purchased upgrade disappointed. Purchased upgrade after having it for years. Quit working on brand new phone. Disappointing. Uninstalled. Looking for new app!

Great scanner. Best scanner by far. It works great with a good selection of channels.

Bought pro. And it’s not working I feel jipped!

Horrible!!. I downloaded and in less than 60 seconds an ad came up 5 times!! Don’t waste your time, if your trying to listen it’ll just cut out try a different one!!!

Lousy. Just a trick to get you to buy the ads. Even when you pay the $1.99, the ads never stop.

Buffered over 15 minutes!! Don’t bother buying. Purchased and now can never get any transmission....just buffers 😡

Does not work. I have to delete it then reinstall it in order for it to work.

It scans nothing. Not even worth the $2. Most of the time when I turn it on at the sound of sirens nearby, it just spins a little ball that tells you it’s buffering. No radio chatter is heard. Don’t waste your money.

The Ads are to distracting. If it wasn’t for the ads it would be a Good App But the ads keep popping up every Second that’s why I gave it a 2 Star
