Updated version. Update!! Giving 3 stars, used to be a 5 star app but keep reading, there's hope it will be again. right Here is why I give 3 right now. They have updated and it's really nice. I get a few reports here and there now. The design is much better as well. Always reliable scanning as I never had a problem with that. Never got a refund from having to download it previously though. The rest remains the same. Can't get email responses. Charged again though already paid. Never got a refund or response. App now is giving few reports but reports are back. Used to be the best all stars app!!! Seeing they updated I'm awaiting better things, one can hope!!! Never stopped using it. Just had to seek search online for things instead. Scan is always reliable, but still get some saying station not working or error. I still ask that-Please someone respond, I've tried 20 different ways and still hadn't heard from anyone.

One of my favorites. I have most of the iPhone scanner apps and I like the feel of this one. I like the breaking news feature although it should be fine tuned. Perhaps have a breaking news function along with a validation feature so that someone confirm the breaking news.

This app works!. And my county and sheriff are included, but even if yours aren't, I have still found it cool to listen to other countries, this app covers many different regions of the world!

...works great!. Didn’t have to pay anything for this app and works great! Does NOT cut in or out...live stream. Everything is CLEARLY heard. There’s NO buffering. You stay CONNECTED (optional) all while your surfing on other apps/web of your phone. FYI, I’m in the Phoenix AZ area and definitely NOT disappointed.

Outstandiing. Worth every second of Listening I love this app it is so in formative it's easy to use and great find out what's going on and if there's any traffic problems and nice to know what areas of town do you stay clear of

Love it! But....... I live the overall good performance. I understand that their has to a delay for such resins but the frequency should not have to suffer. I live in Clovis,CA and the frequency is very poor and doesn't come in sometimes at all. If it possible to fix great, other wise keep it up and continue streaming. P.S. IF YOU CAN ADD IN AN INTERACTIVE MAP, that would be awesome. For example; if a call comes up in you area the call would pop up on the map. Not nessicerily the address but a location area of it to make sure what ever happened, you would know if it was in your own neighborhood. Thanks for reading, From: iDaddy10

Interesting. I really enjoy listening to this app, especially when I'm really bored or want something to listen to while I'm working. It would be nice if the database was expanded even more because I found quite a few dead feeds in my area. I understand, though, that not every feed is available. If I could make a request, please add the fort bend county sheriff's dept (Texas), Galveston and all Houston greater area law enforcement (sheriff & police). This app is great because I get to hear what's going on in my area. Keep up the good work :)

Crash. I wish I could say something positive, but I have an older iPod touch and this app keeps crashing when I open it, please fix this

All channels I try buffer. All the channels buffer even after paying for upgrade it does not show in app that i upgraded went to their shop in store paid for the other one they had and still does nothing but buffer paid twice useless app.

Nice app. It works really well. However, it does not pick up ALL the traffic from our local dispatch... Only selected frequencies. But nice to hear what's happening in your area even when you're miles away. One of my favorites! We can get fire and ambulance now, but State & Sheriff Police dept. have switched over to upper digital channels that are not available on this type of scanner.

Great app to have. This app is really good, I used to work as a dispatcher in my county and I love listening to the calls, for people who don't have an ear for it, it can be hard to understand but it can show how hard it is to be a dispatcher or to be in law enforcement. I love that it is in real time, my only dislike is that sometimes my area is unavailable.

Fills my curiosity cup. I'm a snoop I admit and I just love love love listening to the scanner however at times it is alot of static and hard to understand but for the most part it's great. Buy it. It's entertaining .... UPDATE: I bought this about a month ago and it worked fine then- now the Travis county police scanner ( Austin tx) is no longer available... Just an fyi

Poor!. Slow and still not as good or as easy to access compared to the safari and now that its not dl to this phone it just sits there while I mess around on my safari!! Also the notifications don't come thru to my emails or phone like they are supposed to for everyone!! It only works for certain ppl why???

police scanner is awesome!. I always wonder what is going on when police and other emergency vehicles are going by. Now with police scanner I can hear everything that is happening! Thanks.

Closer would be better. The selection never seems to include my town or those around it. It's interesting to hear activity 30 miles away but it's not relevant. Sound quality can vary wildly making it hard to make out comments but it may be my cell phone provider.

Love the app; suggestions. I love this app compared to other police scanners, but have a few suggestions. If you could also list the city with the county. Sometimes I'm looking for a specific and to go by the county. Also, a sleep timer would be cool, and if sessions could be recorded for later listening! Just a few features I've liked from other apps that would make this one the best.

Sound. I used to be able to listen to the calls. Now I don’t get anything for many of the surrounding counties or rarely get anything when I do.

Fantastic!. This app is awesome! Easy to navigate, accurate, and informative. Really pleased with the ease of use and the fact that so many channels are already pre-programmed. Why buy a dedicated scanner when this app can provide you with your local police, fie and rescue?

DON'T BUY. THIS APP CAN'T BRING IN.... Can't bring in local suburbs. It mainly has large county-wide Sheriff's stations, large Metro areas,and fire, EMS and such stations. Obviously these "inventors" don't understand, nor care, what their customers want. They have no way to accept feedback and fix problems. I was told that I COULD add any station by adding their "feed" into the station and it would add that city's station. That was it. I got no instructions. The cities which are included have asked to be included. Otherwise, you will listen to County and urban areas so large that you will not be able to tell where "they" are. How does one obtain the feed, and add a station? Robert

I really like this Scanner App because: 99% of the time it's online, I have found it picks up the action at least 20 miles from my location in Westmoreland County, Pa. and I like how anybody can report to other listeners what type of emergency is happening, except, I wish the app would add more choices to pick from.

I enjoy the app.. This is a great app to have if you want to follow local first responders on a regular basis or if you just want to answer the question: What's with all of the sirens? The sound is clear, and the voices are easily understood. The app times out eventually, but you just have to refresh it as needed.

The reporting availability isn’t showing up. This used to be the best police scanner app. However; the reporting feature no longer shows up on IPhone. This was the coolest feature- but it has not worked on my phone for over a year. Please fix this ~ as it’s a great option to have on a scanner app. Very disappointing. Also, this app has not been updated in 2 years.

THIS APPLICATION SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!!. While traveling throughout Connecticut's biggest city, the police scanner informed me of a shoot out on the road of which I was driving on. I was one block away from the shot out when I turned around. As I was driving back I noticed a street light that had been shot out. Without the warning from this application I very well could of been fatally injured. This application has also saved me from two speeding tickets because I heard the state policeman announcing his location as to where he was setting up a speed trap. I was only a 1/4 mile away when the scanner alerted me. I own a radar detector and it didn't even warn me!!! Thank you for creating this wonderful application---anyone who drives should have this app!!! One bit of advice please consider adding more cities to your application.

Honestly one of the best apps I own. I found this app the day it came out. It has changed my view towards law enforcement for the better. I find myself listening to the conversations of the LAPD cops and I am fascinated. To all the people considering such an app...... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP. It is the best app I have purchased this year!

Fun App. It's a fun app to have running in the background while ur surfing the Internet etc. The only thing I don't like, and no fault to the scanner, some of the locations either talk too fast or don't speak clearly enough to understand.

Usually pretty good!. One of the better apps for scanning. Recently though the start up page where it gives you the "reports" of incidents, hasn't been working. Deleted it, redownloaded it. Still the same. Just needs a small update, but still a really good app.

Awesome App!. This is the most amazing app ever! I got to do a ride-along recently, so learning what some of the lingo was in person made this app even cooler. I love listening to what's going on with law enforcement in my town, and am constantly glued to this app! A great buy for sure. Thanks iTunes for making it available!

Works well. It works well. Even though it's just a rebranded copy of 5-0 Radio app that I had to pay for again. But this one is more stable and a better UI. But it's obviously 50 Radio as the main screen is exactly the same. So it's an upgrade that you have to pay for all over again. That's the reason I took away a star. Not for functionally. It works fine. I don't like the subterfuge of releasing the same old app under a new name to get people to buy it again. But as an app review. It works.

One of the better ones. This app is better than most of the scanner apps out there. They have a ton of feeds, from what I have noticed more feeds than other scanner apps. I have not have It crash on me like other scanner apps. It is very enjoyable!

love it. who doesn't like a nice ease dropping every now and then? learn the codes and you will catch on to what's going on quicker. the app does stop after a while of listening into it which is kinda annoying when you get real into it and there's action going on. and I wish it had Mexico, or boarder patrol. those would be very interesting to listen to. but A LOT of options of places u can listen into to. just pick the places rated with more crime so you get more action. very cool

Great!. Allows me to hear whats going on around me. Having worked in law enorcement before I get to listen to where I used to work as well. Many options from everywhere!

Exactly what it says !. You want a scanner well you got one with this app and it works perfect and makes your phone just that much better ! Couldn't be any better !!

Police radio. This is by far the best on the iPhone police radios! It,s very informative and it gives you a real time action message on any "HOT"city channel. It also let,s you report any "hot calls you hear so you can share it with others.

Really Good. I dig it. It cuts out and sometimes transmissions are unclear. I can usually get enough information to almost know what's going on. It's compelling. It has a lot of channels and probably the one your looking for. Any good criminal should have it, so should any good citizen.

Awesome scanner app. I give it 5 stars cause I can listen to anywhere in US and I'm org from PA Greene County and moved to Springhill Florida only thing I don't like is you can't listen to the police you can only hear the ambulance and fire trucks would be better if you could hear the police for Springhill

Awesome app!!!. I love hearing what is going on in my county. Plus, I can help friends stay clear of certain areas when I hear something. Hearing stuff as it happens is more fun than hearing it on the news four hours later. Love this app!!!

This is a great app.. It's definitely worth getting. It has my county listed so I don't have to scan for areas somewhere else to find out what is going go.

Review for Police Scanner app. This version of Police Scanner has virtually done away with the glitches that plagued the earlier app versions. It's always been user friendly & easy to navigate. I liked it from the beginning, but had considered not using it due to so many glitches. Now that those are no longer issues, I recommend it to friends.

Scanner app is Great, Depending on where u live. The App itself works great....however the usefulness of having it for local area use depends largely on if your local police, fire, emergency units frequency is available on it! Do NOT Automatically assume it will have your local police department on the list if available channels and most of the stuff you can hear is pretty routine due to the age of cell phones and text messages being used by police to convey all the really good stuff

Dont waste your money. I want my money back too! This app keeps crashing. It lasts for 3 secs then crashes. I sent a report in the 1st hr after purchase but I've had no response. Try the free version and save your money!

Grant. We use to have an analogue desktop scanner which became redundant once they went to digital...but this has brought it back ! Missed it for so long - this is a great app. Would be good if you could select city or country independently but probably to hard to do in the programming due to so many countries being available...fantastic an look forward to updates soon.

Country Coverage in Vic good. For the price a great little app. Works well for me. Although city coverage may be limited due to police using DVP.

Police Scanner. Not liking the new version , Queensland police has not worked since the update and now no option to listen in the background , not impressed

RIPPED OFF. I upgraded last year and there has only bn 1 update since then. When purchasing, I assumed there'd be extras - besides removal of ads. Then I see there's a 'Pro' version for the same price. That's what this app should have bn, instead of making it a new app and wanting more $ for it. The app closes and freezes often. As it's suppose to be an 'Australian Police Scanner', you'd think they'd have more Australian channels and those from neighbouring countries - instead of countries on the other side of the world. I really feel duped on this deal, it should have only bn 2 apps - free version & then pro. The things people do to get more money. Focus on the older apps first! The unnecessary siren is annoying also! This app seems more set up for other countries, than what it was suppose to be originally. Too many apps with the exact same concept, charging money for them all and then the app reverts to free version - having ads and everything we paid not to have etc. RIPPED OFF! Not happy. I don't get nothing from western Australia as their is only two anyway rail security n fire feeds but still nothing it states no longer or may have changed location!! So not fair as it was my sole reason to purchase the app!! :/

Scanner review. Disappointed that Surrey or Vancouver BC are not included. If I had known this I would not have purchased this app.

Some selections not working, most frequencies not shown. Some of the selections such as the Toronto OPP don't work and if the frequencies were displayed it would be useful for looking up in my old scanner frequency books (Ontario) and on the Industry Canada frequency listings. Overall, I like the graphics layout and the amount of services you can listen to. My favourite selection (sometimes not working, when I had this app before) is the Hamilton airport tower frequency. I live in Hamilton, Ontario and anyone who knows Hamilton, there is an escarpment (the airport is up on the escarpment). I live below it and my reception of the frequency on my actual scanner is terrible! There is also some specific interference on the frequency but this is not the fault of the app of course. I can't hear the tower's transmission, just the aircraft. I can hear both on this app clearly (with some background noise).

Disappointed. I'm giving this three stars because its a good app that allows you to listen to the police. Im disappointed because it has NOTHING for Alberta. It has 6 stations. All for small towns. Please allow us to listen to big cities like Calgary!

Scanner. It's great! Some glitches. But I like like that in storms I can hear where there might be/is a tornado or crashes so that I can prepared in summer and winter. At times it cuts out or cannot be accessed which is annoying. Needs a little work but very helpful to have.

Plus, there is red alerts for cities under action to tune into immediately instead of channel surfing. App keeps getting better and better. Manitoba?. Manitoba has only 2 stations and neither of them work. Need Winnipeg and brandon police and others. Other then that its an amazing app!

where have my channels gone?. Seems my most visited channels are disappearing one after another. Used to really enjoy listening and could count on finding what I was after. Hope you come up with replacements soon.....you started out great for me...haven't given up on you yet.

Love this app!. It's nice to know what's going on in your area especially when you hear sirens. Compared with the cost of the old scanners, you can't beat this.

Works as described.. Works very well for me and it does just as advertised. It just too bad that the county I live in in Colorado (Chaffee). Doesn't have a feed so that's a bummer. But well worth it.

Police Scanner full version. All right app but crashes a lot, tried to go to support page and was brought back here, please fix the crashing issues. It will sometimes crash after the program loads, when hitting the breaking news button or changing the volume.

#1 scanner app!. I luv this app! My dad got me into police scanners in the early 70's. I've gone thru scanners ever since. Sorry. I left out that I'm on my 4th scanner now. This app Is as great as any one I've owned! Good job!!!

Its okay but I'm a little disappointed.. A lot of the stations that I would be listening to are either not available or have moved. I think that there should be frequent updates or attempts to find those channels.

police scanner v 1.3. Impressive app....It really works. You can listen to the big city police force at work as well if not your local. Very satisfied!

Awesome!. Wish they had my city in NC, but I'm close to Charlotte so that's fine. Just be nice to know which of my neighbors croaked when I see an EMS bambulance rolls thru my subdivision.

Good but..... It comes up but after listen for about 5 min or so, it seems to turn off and I have to restart it! Sometimes I can't tell if it is off or just no activity. Which makes me constantly have to look to see if I'm still streaming.

Amazing!!!. I was late for work while having this app on, and I herd there was an accident so I went the other way and saved an hour of being in traffic this app is awesome!!!!

Love it!. Years ago, I did this the old fashioned way. This is aweome and for me has worked like a drem. Find the stations you like, put them in your favs and go staight to the action.

Police scanner Fun to listen to. I like hearing what police officers do for our safety, it makes me appreciate them. I would like to know how they feel about having non-police, EMS or fire department people listening.

Liked this app.. Out of all the scanner apps this one by far is the better one. It offers more options then the other apps.

Good app. How much data does this use or does it while it's streaming? Wish you could scan all your favorites at one time but other then that it's great. I put it on my wides phone so she could listen when I'm on calls.

Scanner, great idea, the only problem I have with it is that I can't get my county.. It's a great app, just wish I could pick up my county. Nice to know what's going on in areas I frequent.

In Top pocket " you sound like a Cop". I was in a dark parking garage late night in Chicago, so I turned on the scanner as I walked, I sounded like a under-cover plain clothes officer, Nice to think anyone hiding would hear me coming and take off !

I smell bacon!!!. I love this app! One of the locations is local to me, so I know exactly where they are. I put it on in my Bose speaker dock and turn it up real loud so I can hear it from anywhere in the house.

New app design.... The app is great, and the new update even informs you on the stations that are most interesting. The only thing that's a downer now is that the new app logo/design looks really ugly, I liked the old one better.

Police Officers Opinion. The scanner is very user friendly and is also a well thought out App. Making it my favorite past time away from home.

Awsome. Love to listen at nite to what's going on other places an around me just wish there was a sleep timer so it would turn off when I fall a sleep.

It's Very Useful in Hearing Things Going On, In Other Words, IT'S LOUD ENOUGH, But It Could Use Some More Frequencies In WV, Where I Live, On The West Side, In A Small Town, Actually Small County, But Other Than That, Very Good, Considering How Many Frequencies There Are Available.

Hooked. I love this app! I listen almost 24/7. When I blew my knee out about 2 yrs ago I started listening to this to pass the time. Needless to say I'm now just hooked. Thanks for the app.

Guilty pleasure!!. This app is awesome! I can listen in on nearly every state. Best of all I can listen to my small little hometown. And leave it on in the background while I use my phone foe other things.

Frustrating sometimes...... Will sometimes say station has changed or not available that is annoying. When it is working properly it is awesome!!!

Excellent App. This is a great app and very simple to use. The quality of the reception puts you right there as though you are in the car with them.

Makes Los Angeles right here.. As a Los Angeles native living in Virginia I can keep up with the best law enforcement agency in the world as they disallow entropy from occurring on a minute-to-minute time-frame. Excellent app. Five stars.

OK. Don't buy this if you want to listen to your local stations. It only has channels for about 20 larger metro departments. The closest I could find to my local area was about 200 miles away. I am certainly not going to find out what the flasing light are at my neighbor's house. Nice try app description!!

Nice buy. Cool app, just plug my phone into the home unit and I have a docked scanner that works better than my actual scanner

Pretty good. I live on o'ahu. It doesn't have the Honolulu police department unfortunately. I enjoy the app but wish it had the local police on it. It does have my home area (kitsap county) which didn't really surprise me. I do not like the apps picture. Pretty rediculous.

Scanner. I think this app is great..jus wish you could put in your own scanner numbers for local police or fire, still really cool to listen to, jus cause I'm in nj. And I can listen to LAPD

Useful and worth the price. Useful app. Works well and was especially useful during recent storms. I could listen and get an idea of what was happening in my area.
