Also,the real reason I’m writing this is because of the line in the update where it says”we’re not that cheap”……..honesty is underrated. I love the “real talk”from yall.

Indispensable. Got the original version when it first appeared years ago. It's only gotten better since day 1. Loved it then and love it now. Although not necessary, I recommend getting the XT Version to support this dev. We need to make sure this app stays around forever. Aside from the obvious benefits, it's great for deciding when to let the dogs out! I hear the alarm and out they go before the rain arrives on my doorstep.

The zoom fix is annoying. Since the last update, every time I open the app it shows an extremely zoomed out image. If we can choose a radius, it makes sense that the app will open showing that radius or at least a similar one, but not one where the radius chosen is just a small dot. The most annoying thing is that even when you click refresh it goes back to the zoomed out image. It's starting to feel like a waste of time.

Works perfectly.. I use Rain Alarm to stay ahead of the rain and make sure I get my top less CJ7 covered in time. It's accurate enough and warnings every hour are just right.

Great piece of kit. A friend of mine who's on a road trip in Borneo alerted me to this app. He uses it to plan his journey so I installed it immediately. Really love it. I drive long distances as well and this allows me to see whats in store for me and if need be, re route or reschedule. Haven't been using it for more then a day but i do love the push notifications of weather fronts in my area. Also appreciate the intensity rating. If animations were more complete so we can see projected track of storms, or even wind direction even better. But not really complaining. The fact that it has weather information for Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo is great, so I'm thankful. Highly recommended app. Great work!

I purchased the full version but…. … please update the app to look nicer and more modern. Get rid of the red pin needle from 15 years ago and make the app feel more quality. Thanks

Don't work anymore. Since the update 9.1.11 in my country no longer works, whereas before it was excellent! But it still works because in my old itouch with version 1.8.1 of the App if they notifications as usual. (I uninstall and reinstall, check all notifications and adjustments in my newest device) wish they could fix the wonderful and useful app. Tested on my iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 and iPad 3 . Thanks for the support.

EXACTLY what I wanted. Given I use some expensive equipment outside, I needed accurate alerts of impending rain. I wanted something that alerted ONLY for rain in the immediate future. I didn't want an overall forecast, or the temp, or any of the features in most weather apps. I found it!! It is perfect for my needs.

Great app. Works just how you think it should. Great, I use if to decide if I should commute to work on my bike. Just set the preferences and you get an alert every time rain is detected. Runs in the background so no need to remember to start the app

Inaccurate advertising. Advertising mentions that app supports different countries, including Mexico. I only got light gray and dark gray overlays-The app did not support.

Great app. I really like the app but I wish there would be a way to set new locations using the "(app) would like to use your location" method instead of selecting nearby cities. It also hasn't been sending much notifications since I changed to a 4g iPod touch

Great app. I have a Jeep Wrangler with no top. This app reliably notifies me before rain so I have time to get my cover on and keep my Jeep dry. Often it alerts of rain and I check other weather apps and it says no chance of rain. This app gets it right most of the time.

Was a great app… once. I’m very disappointed in the evolution of this app. They took away settings I loved, you have to pay an unreasonable price to do anything, and the ads are relentless now. After 10urs I’m deleting this from my device. Much better alternatives out now.

Jeepher Rated. I use this app to let me know if I need to put my Jeep top/emergency cover on! Keeps me from getting caught in the rain!!

Nice app. Got this for use on my watch and enjoy it, I just wish there were details somewhere that explain the icons.

Very helpful. I've had this app for awhile now and wanted to fully experience it until I wrote a review. It is AWESOME! It alerts me when it is about to rain which is very helpful with my kids sports activities. Since we are an outdoorsy family, it really keeps us informed and helps us not get caught outside. Thank you for such an informative app.

Wet Weather. We don't have a lot of weather. But when we do have weather, it all at once, and the rain saturation of the soil causes problems Unfortunately, our rain season often arrives post-fire season. And in the hill and mountains, we see a lot of oil movement.

Comprehensive Look at Rain. I’ve been a Rain Alarm user for a couple of years and a runner for much longer. I gotta day this is a lifesaver for someone who wants to be notified - in detail - about raining coming your way. The dev team did a fantastic job of bundling up a lot of useful features like intensity and radius coverage which is severely underrated. The option to choose thunder sounds for impeding rain is a nice little reminder of the real thing coming. Keep up the great work!

Pretty good but the alarm feature doesn’t work. Alarm feature is there but does not allow you to set a location.

Don’t Buy. My original negative review was removed after a year. Don’t use and don’t buy. It’s full of ads, the ads stay up and drain the battery, and some of the ads are spam or phishing.

Awesome!!. I really like the way this app notifies of approaching weather systems. Gives a heads up without opening other radar apps. Five stars for sure!! I'll be buying the paid version to show my support.

Too many in app purchases. Don’t bother paying to not get ads, you’ll still get plenty. It’s a good radar app. But all the ads are maddening.

I rarely review apps. This is possibly the best and most utilized app on my phone. It tells you how far away the rain is, the strength, and the surface area so you have a clear idea of what to expect. It’s seriously so useful and I love the updated notifications that tell me how close the rain is getting.

Radar doesn't work. The radar map seems to be permanently greyed out for no apparent reason. THERE IS NO TECH SUPPORT. Waste of time app.

Love the Apple Watch animated radar!. Got this specifically for the animated Apple Watch radar function. Something I had a hard time finding but have been wanting for a while now, and I have it with this app without needing to pay any steep subscription cost!

Nice. I wish it was easier to toggle animation on or off. Like a button on the same bar as the edit button would be sweet. To my surprise it works! I've gotten several notifications everytime right before the rain. I hope to see this gain popularity. I like the updated maps. Thank you.

Very Useful. Mandatory Wx App.. If you’re someone who does a lot outside this app should be on your phone. It’s very useful and very accurate. There are a ton of wx apps out there that have radar. This is the only one you need.

A useful app, but ads are really annoying. This is a very useful and friendly app, I’ve been using it for years but the ads have become very invasive in the last versions.I understand that you should buy it to get rid of them but I cannot buy every single app just to make the ads go away, despite they’re cheap or not, it’s very annoying and you bother other people when you’re watching the app and suddenly a strong music or explosions promoting a game breaks the silence and your phone almost falls down from your hand. Instead of pushing me to buy the app, it makes me wish to uninstall it. Again, I like the app but this ad methodology that I can see on many apps are really anti-purchase. At least you could make the ads silent. It’s a bad practice that I can see in many apps lately and it is becoming a nightmare.

Great App!. Really helps in holidays! Now I can skip de rain on my travels, going to work, etc. Just an observation: the app icon it's a little poor, the bell look weird, I think an alarm bell gonna fit better! IMHO. Great work!

Support for great app. I work in the aviation industry and use the free app to make decisions at work-related over the past 3 years. It is intuitive and accurate, helping me make great estimates for the day: such as flight recalls and even holiday plans at Disneyland Tokyo. I've purchased full version to show my support.

Useful and Up To Date. I often am involved in outdoor activities and it is good to know when rain approaches. It has never failed, I can always depend on my timely RainAlarms.

Please find a better source. Really love the idea of this app. I own a jeep and like anyone with a convertible, drive with the top down. Nothing like an unexpected storm. The problem is, the data pulled is inaccurate. I am often alerted there is rain in the area. I look at the map data in RainAlarm, and there is rain, but if I used any other app, no rain. Used TWC or WeatherBug...nothing! Should mention, today, not a cloud in sight, but received an alert. Please look for another weather source to integrate your app with. Thanks for the effort. BTW, found your app in the Windows 8 store first. 3 Stars for the effort.

you have to enable background app refresh. if you are not receiving notifications even after enabling them, you probably have background app refresh disabled. dev: ponlo en la descripcion pq sino no se entera la peña

One more thing!. I’m a weather observer so this is a great app for me. I use it at work to alert me of close rain in case I’m away from the windows or if it appears close to the station with no warning. Three great options to add would be: 1. To be able to slow down the animation or choose from some playback speed options. Currently I find the animation too fast. I know you can pause but it would be better to see the flow and direction if it was about half the speed. 2. Add distance rings. It’s great when I get an alarm and it tells me how far away the rain is but when I’m just in the app and the rain is outside of my alarm circle it’s hard to tell the distance (especially because of the fast animation). 3. Add a loading wheel. Before the first image is loaded it is hard to tell if the app is doing anything or not because the bar that loads (turns blue) is completely grey and there is no other indicator the app is working. If you have a slow connection it would be easy to mistake there being no data or thinking the app is frozen/not working. I’ve adding this to my previous review: I live in Bermuda and work at the Weather Service here that you grab the radar data from. We have just updated our system and now I noticed that after the update your app does not have the data from our radar.

If it going to rain you'll know!!. This is a wonderful app. It lets you know when it's going to rain, how far away, how heavy, what direction. It such a great tool for anyone that works outside, fishes, golfs or walks. You control how far away the alarm is set, set how you get notified, it also perceives the future and where the storm will travel. This is one of a kind app. I rated this which I rarely do because this can save your life. If your out on the lake and don't realize a fast moving storm is coming. Give it a try it fantastic.

severe weather.. as a severe weather spotter, observer with MPING and COCORAHS, I can tell you that this app is so useful, I can see precipitation very quickly and know if its in the area or not, highly recommended.

Inaccurate forecast. Inaccurate when sharing weather forecasts. When forward to others, it shows the wrong timing.

Love it. This is awesome, I used this almost 3 years, definitely no other can do as good as this RainAlarm, I may still keep using this free version, instead, I am getting the full version just want to be supportived for the creator's effort.

Best one out there. This app is by far the best one out there for finding out where the rain is, and to what intensity it is. I use this app primarily for when it is best to take my dog out. Love it.

Great on Windows 8, subpar on iOS. I have used the Windows 8 Metro version for two years happily. This iOS version needs the ability to select one's own alert sound. The developer's site is a Google Group with no answers from the devs on the last six months of posts.

Perfect in every way.. I love rain with a deep passion most people never understand. As such, I live in a very rainy part of the U.S. This app works extra overtime for me 24/7 and it's perfect. It is always accurate and the notifications are the best part for me. I can't rave about this app enough. Not necessary to buy the full version, but I will, just to support it. The maker(s) deserve it.

Paying for the app reduced its usability for me. Before I paid for the app, I was able to set rain alerts by dropping a pin. After paying for the app, it resets to my current location no matter how often I reset it to alert me for the pin only.

Recent changes now keeps resetting my purchases. I have used rain alarm for the past 4-5 years and I have loved it. I purchased the upgrades to eliminate ads and to add in some different features. In the last couple of weeks the app has started resetting itself and I have to restore purchases (now 5 times). I rely On the app as I work outside and this problem is an issue. Fix it please.

A platform for ads.. Rubbish app that’s a platform for ads. Basically three seconds of the app followed by continuous ads and promos you cannot close.

I previously had all the functionality of the pro version which I paid for such as - transparency - multiple alarms - search radius You have recently updated the app, removed the functionalities and expect me to pay again to have those back??? Deleting and installing Rain Parrot instead.

Now only provides radar every 30 mins. This app used to provide radar updates every 10 minutes. Now that it is 30 mins you are better off using the BOM app or similar

U saved me. Ok I was on this app and I see a big red thing comeing to my hime and 1h we left cuz it flooded and we told everyone so no one got hurt or lost there home

Alerts to rain where none exists. Multiple notifications during the day. The apps radar shows quite a bit of showers, but no rain exists on the bom radar. Not useful

Too many false alarms. Used to be good but after the latest update it keeps sending alarms for <1% area.

Great Great App. Ended up buying the paid version of this because the developers had come up with such a good concept. Recommend it to anyone wanting notifications of rain close by. If the guys had the option of a filter to 10kms away and the option to add two locations (so I know if the garden is getting a water while I'm out then this app would be perfect. Great work guys!

Not happy. I have had this app on other phones and have never had a problem but now that I have the latest apple iPad it no longer showed my position and the rain movement is so fast that you can not properly read it so I purchased your $1.49 app fix and I have no idea as to how to get to the information to fix it Thanks Chris Queensland (Australia)

Two stars for the concept.. When I check Rain Alarm warnings against the official Bureau Of Meteorology radar there was very little correlation. This has taken away any confidence I may have had in this App.

Helps me predict migraines!. I love this app. I get migraines whenever it rains. My mom's arthritis acts up then too. This helps me predict when a migraine will hit, and sends an alarm to my phone! I bought the pro version after seeing how amazing this is. Now I can program the sensitivity do that it alarms me only half hour before it rains so I can take my meds before it hits. The color coding also helps to show me how bad the storm is going to be which tells me how bad the migraine will be. Absolutely amazing! My husband farms and this helps him decide his days before the rain hits. He can even look up locations he will be at so he knows if he can work the ground out there that day. Wonderful app!

AWESOME!!! By far the BEST radar app!!. I've had rain alarm on my PC for several years. iPhone app is great too. It's something I count on and look to everyday. You can set it to the radius distance surrounding the area wherever you go. The push notifications will let you know in advance if you are out in your nice sporty car and/or motorcycle/bike. You can decide from there if it's a simple little passing rain cloud or major storm in the vicinity. Then you can decide if you should wait it out / take cover and/or leave the area altogether. Love it !!!!!!!

Doesn't work. Fails to predict rain, its primary function.

Very nice tool. Not only will it warn you of incoming precipitation and rain, but it provides a satellite map of weather and storm systems so you can see the surrounding area. I hope they add normal alarm ringtones, like a text message tone rather than a long thunder sound.

Awesome but annoying. Saved me a bunch but can’t delete alarms even after I paid to be able to add more than 1 location alarm. Lol. Nonsense and notification madness. Uninstalling and asking for refund. Interface needs updating, it looks archaic. Where is all the money for all the little individual features going!?

I suppose it could show snow precipitation as well?. Snowing here now and map shows even though it is generally for rain the clouds T this point is actually snow. I suppose it could be for both sort of pending on the precipitation going at the time. Or I suppose it could give a ledges of different types. Elsewise not bad for rain and snow at times.

Handy app. Nice little app to see where rain clouds are. Works in most populated parts of Canada as well as the US. Find I use this more than the weather app because it gives a good visual.

Ads...ads...ANNOYING ADS!!!!. I’ve owned this app for many years, and it has saved my bacon a few times, saving some expensive equipment from being drowned in heavy thunderstorms. The free version sufficed, and I could tolerate the banner ad at the bottom. Recent updates not only have those, but now as you view the radar annoying video ads pop up and fill the screen which are extremely annoying! I know they are used to generate revenue but there comes a point when they’re counterproductive. Nobody watches the things and only aggravate users, making the app less enjoyable. Why aggravate your users even more so? The annoying, intrusive video ads have taken my 5 star rating down to a 3. If it gets worse it'll go down further.

Great program. It works for me. My wife hears the iPhone ding and yells its going to rain. For the most part very accurate. Only one suggestion put in the time and that is now done under OS5 so pretty much all one needs.

Upgrade. I had a little glitch and received excellent support. Really like this app.

A must have app for the motorcycle enthusiast.. Need to know if you are going to get wet, or if you should just take the cage? This app is a must have. Let it send you push notifications and set up your own warning distance. Then you will know if need to stop and wait for the weather to pass or if you can detour around. I use it pre ride and let it run while I ride. Works perfectly.

Beware! It buries hidden software. I installed Rain Alarm, was not impressed and deleted it. It has installed a "weather email" on my phone and I can't get rid of it. So underhanded

Put the key back on the map!. Just found the intensity scale! They hid it in the help menu! Why? Put it on the map where it makes sense to see it! It was there before!

Love it. I love the simplicity of this app however I do wish it told you what kind of precipitation was in the area, like snow, sleet, etc.

Works in principle. But.... When the sky is clear most weather radars crank up the sensitivity so there is permanent "light rain" surrounding the radar station for a few miles. This (can) trigger constant false alarms if you're in the noisy area.

This app is junk. False alarm all the time I live in a drouth area and according to this app I live in a tropical forest. It is in your best interest to stay away from this app it is a joke.

What Happened. I live in South East Florida and have used this app for years to track rain. Now, late September, early October it doesn't see a hurricane in the tropics. Is this app done?????

Fullscreen ADS!. Always liked this app until you started with the FULLSCREEN ADS! Is it not enough to have them at the bottom? Please remove them!!

Not accurate, very frustrating. I get alarms every day, several times a day, for a number of areas EXCEPT MY OWN!!! When it does rain I get no alerts whatsoever! This app needs a serious makeover before I think about buying it. However, I'll delete it for free.

Works perfectly. Iv'e tried the other rain alert apps but this is the only reliable one. Also nice to get a quick look at the radar instead of having to wait on the slower weather apps to open. Plus it's free!

Great for dog owners with freakout dogs. I love this app because I have to medicate my dog 30 before a storm and here in Texas they can just pop up. I do get some false alarms but that is better than a surprise. Thanks for this app

One of the best radar graphics available!. Had the pro version on Android but when I migrated data to IOS it does not recognize that I have the Pro or fully paid version on the iPhone. Would love to have it back without the ads! How do show proof and where?

Perfect. Works as states. We had two storms today and my first alert said strength 80%, area 33% & second storm strength 80% area 48%. The app alerted me just before the rain and was accurate.

Doesn't work in my area. Live in eastern US and no matter how much I adjust it doesn't support my area. Good concept, poor execution.

Full screen ads. Need to get your ads under control I'm getting full screen ads now that take over everyone. Not cool and not acceptable. This app is good but if the full screen ads continue I'll yank it and stick to the Storm app.
