Don't bother. The lite version does not tell you what it is 'lite' on, so I will tell you. You lose mapping and real sorting by your Geo location. That is fine if you want to know about an earthquake thousands of miles away. If you want to find one closer to you, it becomes rather difficult since there are so many earthquakes daily. Bottom line, too much info to sort through without better sorting and/or a map, which is what the pro or regular version gives you. There are other free apps that give you all the info for free.

Stops sending notifications. I’ve tried re-installing the app but it still does not work.

Great app. I look at this app daily since 2012. I wish you could color each seismic number with a different color? 2.1-2.9 green e.g., 3.0-3.9 yellow e.g., 4.0-4.9 orange, 5.0-5.9 e.g., red, And so on. It would be very helpful. I use this app for my geography lesson. Thanks. AZ Bill.

Just checking. I got this app because my daughter lives in an earthquake prone area. I'm able to check daily and this relieves a lot of anxiety.

Great. I’ve been interested in earthquakes for decades. For maybe 15 years I’ve been receiving notifications from USGS ENS about worldwide earthquakes at levels I want. It’s FREE. Half an hour I upgraded this QuakeFeed app for $2. Well worth it.

Add this feature please. This is a nice app but what it really needs is the ability to utilize the iPhone accelerometer to detect earthquakes and share that data to the cloud and/or the USGS. Only when enough similar readings are detected from a certain region within a narrow timeframe would the data be considered legitimate and then be pushed back out to the map for all users to view. The app could also be active only at certain times of the day/night that the user defines. As well as only be active when connected to pre-defined wifi networks. Such as Home or work. Another option would be to only take accelerometer reading when it is plugged into power (such as when on your night stand or connected to a computer USB). The app could also use the iPhone GPS to disable sensor reading when moving. As well as only record seismic data when the app detects the iPhone is laying flat on its back. Another option would be to disable the seismic sensor data output when a face is detected with the front facing camera. Requiring the app to be running in the foreground would also further prevent false readings. This could easily, quickly, and cheaply create a huge network of seismographs around the world.

Not bad. Very helpful , be nice if you could reduce number of quakes down to days, map gets quite cluttered at times!

Thank You. Looks great; free info is good; if I weren't so cheap, I could adjust settings for a better fit. Glad you separated magnitudes by color, but it seems odd that you used a dark color for the smallest, & a light color (yellow) for the next larger category. It would be more logical for the colors to become more intense as the magnitude becomes more powerful/destructive, so that they stand out. My mind is constantly skipping over the yellows. Maybe it's just the intensity of the yellow? Not sure.

Earthquake Lite. I am very happy with this app. I am interested to know where powerful earthquakes are occurring around the world.

Won’t update or display any info. App started acting up a couple months ago so I deleted it. Reinstalled it a week ago and was working great until this morning. App stopped displaying and updating earthquakes again. I really liked this app because it had the best map and up until now, was very accurate. I guess I’ll delete again and hopefully someday it will start working again.

Good and bad. For some reason it won’t let me use the tsunami feature in the app. Even though we got hit by a 8.0 quake this morning it sent me a p-ush notification.

Great!. I live in Seattle and just felt a slight earthquake. Searched news channels immediately to confirm but no one had immediate news. Downloaded this app immediately after and it had the exact earthquake update with exact center and size far before any news station had updates minutes after the shaking.

Update. This was my favorite earthquake app. In need of an update bad

Location Service fixed!. The Location Service has been fixed but, as soon as I quit the app the Location Service icon still appears on my iPhone until about 10 seconds after i quit the app then it disappears. The icon should disappear right away. Also HD Retina graphics would be nice please!!!

Absolutely useless. This app used to send notifications on 6.0+ earthquakes as I wanted it to. However, over the last several months this pile of garbage app has not sent me one notification of 6.0+ earthquakes despite changing notification settings multiple times in efforts to reset it. Will be deleting, this app is garbage.

Earthquakes. This is a great app especially when you are in an area that has several earthquakes a day.

It’s ok. I downloaded to keep track of Hawaii volcano and othe seismic activity, but it’s a little complicated and somewhat difficult to understand.

Like. I like the app. It allows me to see the earthquakes quickly by number and if I chose I can go further. Good, free app.

Santa Cruz Earthquake. I was in downtown Santa Cruz, felt the earthquake, saw the light fixtures sway, checked my phone for the quake information. It was there!!

Reliable Data Well Presented. Having fast, accurate data is most helpful. I might like to see a more intuitive Magnitude-to-Color (calm color ofYellow or pale green for low intensity escalating through darker more “serious” - RED as the strongest temblors for example) - but this is purely personal preference. Excellent APP overall and I am glad to have it. Well done. Cheers!

Doesn't work in my location. Downloaded this app for a quick notification and doesn't work where we live in the Solomon Islands.

Use it all the time. With all the earthquakes we are having here, this app is a convenient way to pinpoint the location. You can zoom all the way down to photo maps and see exactly where the earthquake was

No alerts..notifications are set, but no alerts. Had this app for awhile and all of a sudden alerts don't work. It worked for awhile. I don't like wishy washy apps. :-)

Crash. Your app keeps crashing on my iPhone 6plus and iPad Air. Is there a fix coming?

Great app. When the Earth shakes this app catches the event and presents the information extremely well. Great app for the keen amateur seismologist. Using the free version and very happy.

earthquake app. This app is very informative it can be setup to notify you of any earthquake at a chosen level. It notifies you of intensity , location and depth. It also give a readout of the various agency's reports with a link to those agency's. Thus enhancing the information available. It is very educational. I like it. Helen

Perfect for the keen observer. It is an exceptional product that once set up will inform you as it happens. The only time it had issues was when I induced them by altering the settings in the wrong manner. Any crashing was eventuality sorted once I sorted out my iPad. Pilot error. I predominantly monitor my local area as it’s rare in Victoria Australia for seismic activity to occur but with worldwide settings over a certain value too.

Notifications not working. Don't bother buying as notifications do not work I had to buy another app which works flawlessly

Stopped sending alerts. App stopped sending alerts, no support. Not worth the money

Keeps closing. Just uploaded lite, flashes and closes. Booted iPad, then worked. Upgraded to get alerts, now flashes and stay on.

Earthquake. Does not report earthquakes that occur in Canada, therefore this app is useless for my purposes. Very disappointing!

Limited and bugs. Very limited, can not see more than one item on map. App does not respond well to device rotation. Some pages will not show landscape.

Great app and tech support. This is a great app and has Canadian and up to the minute Global coverage! I was initially concerned about the previous reviews that indicated that there was no Canadian content. But in running the lite version, the quake this week in eastern Ontario/Quebec was reported even before I was aware of it on the local radio news. With friends and family members around the world, this is a great app to stay informed and alerted to quake activity. Amazed that there are so many quakes each and every day. Upgraded to the full version for even more info and functionality.

Vanishes as soon as you click on the app. When this app is working, it's great, but it just clicks off instantly, more times than not. It is crazy-making, I am going to switch to a different app.

Works NOT. It works as long as it's not near you! Missed the Oklahoma 5.6 this morning! I guess you can't really trust it fully....

Useless. This app wasn't bad until the full screen ads started showing up every time you try to view details about a quake. Now it's just useless. There are many other free earthquake apps that don't hijack your phone.

Most Features Not Available in Lite Version. Despite what it might say in the description, it seems that maps and filters are only in the pay version. Might be worth it. I don't know. The free version certainly isn't.

Love it!. This is a great app for seeing how the earth is shaking. You get earthquake info from several different agencies and can sort by date, magnitude, and distance from your location. I use this a lot since I have family in SoCal...the maps let me see how close they are to the epicenter.

Crashes!. I absolutely cannot even open this app anymore. Crashes constantly!

Nice App. I like the alerts and the maps appear to be current. Only drawback is some of the symbols on the map don't have any explanation and I didn't find a reason for them in the app program.

Crashes when you open it. Great app but crashes as soon as you open it. Once they fix that it will be good again.

Needs a little more work. The app is unstable when someone tries to first open it. It usually takes a couple of attempts before it stays open.

Best Earthquake App Out There!. I switched from another earthquake app to this one because I this app has more than just the USGS feed. This app is wonderful with all different feeds! USGS has not been reporting all quakes lately-- thank you so much for your great app!!!

No good. Does not download the data on recent earthquakes. I tried turning my location locator on but that didn't help. I deleted it almost right away. At least it was free

What happened?. App worked great until update was installed! Now this application won't open without crashing! What a disappointment! Does anyone check out these updates before they are forced on us? Do you think we will be forced into buying the full app? Good luck with that! Lots of free apps out there to fill my needs. Should be able to reinstall the original, but thats not available now! Too real!. I downloaded it yesterday, took a look and we had a 3.8 here in northern Cali. I heard about that one happening, took a look and we had ANOTHER ONE! Oh dang! I get it now! I thought it was for monitoring not causing! Had to delete immediately. Glad it was a lite version so no one got hurt. They got your ip addresses y'all, don't think you can get away with it. I'm thinking of ditching my iPad now, FEDS might be after me...

Major drop off recently. Bad maps (including pacific dateline cut off) as well as many new adverts make it 10% what it used to be Too bad It used to be a great app

What happened????. This was a fine app...I enjoyed looking at happenings around the globe. It shows the domino effect!!!

Great except for the 'trembles'. This is a great app, and I like being able to navigate, however, it tends to crash way too often often requiring the restart of my iPad.

It a static map of Poseidon's wrath. It's the only thing going out there and you might get a warning when something happens near you.

Easy to access info. This is the easiest access app I have used for recent earthquake activity.

Earth movements. It's awesome to get up to date info around planet,because the earth is really starting to move very steady with higher on the scale. Be safe and may God be with the unfourtionate !

Trouble. Trouble!!!!! NO STARS. I'm having trouble. Either I'm logged down with the offer of new apps which I don't want but have trouble getting them closed so I can see the quake info. Or. As now it won't work for me at all!!!! Very frustrating. J c w

Pop ups, pop ups, pop ups!!!. So sad, this somewhat credible app just keeps taking you to iTunes to buy different game apps!!! Tried it even after rebooting my Ipad and it still takes you back to ITunes with unwanted and unnecessary apps....sorry guys, you need to get control of your lite app!! I'm deleting it immediately because there are plenty of others which do the same thing without the constant app switching, constant I say!,, good bye and good riddance!!!

Best Earthquake Ap EVER. Oklahoma has increased in activity to unimaginable numbers. This Ap lets me know just how close and how strong each of them are! And I get to see the rest of the world too!

Just about perfect. PROS: Color coding of magnitude makes for easy visual scanning. Using Location Services to present report times in your local timezone. (I know what UMT is, but just can never get it straight.) Using Location Services to give approximate distance from your location. CONS: Can't think of any. NICE TO HAVES: Maybe a way to filter by location or magnitude and only show events nearby, or of above a specific value.

Not worth paying for add ons. Despite loading and reloading, the purchased add ons just don't work well. Particularly the push filter keeps showing 5.0 quakes even after you set it to 7. Support was smarmy and unhelpful.
