Desperately needs an update. Love the content but this app is woefully out of date.

Great app, when it works. Crashes iPhone 4s when you load more Brickbats and then try to select one. It would also be nice if the share to Facebook feature actually worked. Come on REASON!! What's the problem? You guys are smart. Fix this friggin' App!!!!!!

We love reason!. And for good reason! Almost always right! Keep up the good work and update the app.

Good lord this app is ugly. I only gave it two because I love the content so much. The app itself looks like a jail broken iPod touch app from 2010 vomited on a geocity. Can we get some modernizing of this one?

Bug fixed!. So happy to report that the bug that crashes the app when you try to load a new page has been fixed! Thanks reason! As promised, this is now a five star review.

Not user friendly. This app could be so much better but the interface is not user friendly or aesthetic. It seems extremely compact and it’s hard to navigate.

Clickbait. The app is designed to drive traffic to Reason’s web site, and with unnecessary clicks.

Horrible app. No way to search articles. And the app doesn’t show headlines on my phone anymore. Even with an update. It just shows the author of each article. So there’s no way to know what you’re reading unless you tap into the article first.

Not reason magazine. This is some dude’s blog… mixed with some links to legit Reason articles anyone can access for free at Reason’s website or Instagram. No content in the videos, articles, or the .org part of the app anymore… so I am guessing Reason shut down the use of the original content the blogger doesn’t have permission to redistribute. Point is… this is not Reason Magazine… it’s just a way for an industrious Libertarian to get his blog out there. Not really a bad place to view all the articles in one place and the blogs are clearly marked… but it’s worth paying the $1.99 to gain access to the real Reason Magazine app.

I love Reason.... But god do I hate having to choose how I want to read the article. I want to read it in the app!!! I don't want to have to click through 3 pages to read an entire article. Not sure if if that's an accurate number but I know for sure the app doesn't value my time it loves unnecessary clicks on my part if I want to read an entire story.

What a shame. Reason is an excellent source of credible information. It’s truly a shame that their organization evidently commits no funding to their mobile platform. Their readers and supporters deserve better.

Pop up leaves. Had for awhile. Great for alternative viewpoint but recently won’t load at all, briefly appears and drops off screen. FWIW, my other apps are working fine.

Some Issues. Love the content but this app has some issues. None of the titles are loading on my app, so I have to click to see the title. Have tried reinstalling app, but it didn't fix the issues.

Libertarian except on vaccine choice.. I used to love reason until they advocated for vaccine tyranny. Please fire Ronald Bailey. When reporting on vaccines you should probably be more neutral and interview people advocating for vaccine safety too. Please interview nvic, Dan Olmsted, moms against Mercury, generation rescue, pave, or bobby Kennedy jr to get a story from both sides. Otherwise it seems like you are writing under the payroll of Pharma and you belong to an opinion news source like fox or cnn.

iPhone 4 troubles. Thanks for adding fast app switching, no thanks for not having a refresh button in any of the sections. Now I need to open up the task switcher and close the app, then re open it in order to get updated stories... Also a pop down for comments would be nice, and hi res art.

Abandoned and outdated. No iPhone X support and no Apple Watch app

App needs work. Let me begin by saying that the content of the app is great. The delivery of the content inside the app is not so great. I don't understand why the app will not open an article inside the app. When you want to read something, you have to exit the app and go to the website for Reason. Why even have an app if I have to read everything on the website? If the articles would open in the app (as they should in an app) then this would have five stars.

Useful but limited. It works fine on my iPad2 with iOS 5. it presents a iPhone sized image. But you can expand the image by pressing the "2x" button in the lower right corner. The resulting display is bigger and quite readable but contains no additional content. The content is a version of what is on their web site. Each posted item has a "View Original Item" link at the end which sends you to the full version of the item on their web site (launches Safari). I do wish the articles were dated and they would have a higher-resolution version for the iPad.

My favorite App. As a subscriber to reason magazine, I find this app to be a great companion. A few new articles are added each day and they always provide me an opportunity to soak my brain in liberty before I drift off to sleep. Thanks for allowing your app to be downloaded on 2g 3.1.3 software.

The Best Libertarian News Source. I've been an avid reader for a few years and finally downloaded the app. It works well and is simple to use but there is no option to remove ads.

Why wouldn't I want to read an article in the App?. Why cant I read an entire article in the app? I literally had to click through 3 screens to read one article. Why even use the app????

Great app; streamlined experience. This app makes reading the Reason blog much faster and more enjoyable on a mobile device.

The free market can’t create a good Reason app. This is by far the worst news/magazine app I’ve seen in both style and function. It’s barely usable and a complete eyesore. I recommend getting the print publication for sure. The website is also very good, even on mobile web. But don’t even bother with this mobile app unless they fix it someday.

Needs an Update. Love the website on my computer, so the app is important for my phone... but it needs an update for the new generation of iPhones. While they’re at it, what I need is a smooth way to search for articles, with adds not in the search results (keep them in the articles please).

good, but. when I try to share something on facebook, it doesn't attach the link, and so far I haven't found a way to attach it manually. this was one of the main reasons I downloaded this app, please fix!

Bad UI. I like Reason but the app looks like it hasn't been updated since 2010. The UI looks like it was made to fit in with the ugly pre-iOS 7 look.

Great. Love the app, only suggestion is I wish they sent breaking news notifications like other news apps.

Needs a good update. App hasn’t been updated in 5 years and it looks it. Some links don’t work and articles and titles are sometimes a random string of characters.

Considering it no longer opens.... Yeah, this is a problem for an app and publication I used to read daily. Please address.

I was a fool. Imagine my surprise when I opened the newly downloaded iPhone app and see the words "If you were dumb enough to buy an iPhone...". Well, I was dumb enough, but I am smart enough to delete this app. I really wish I hadn't subscribed to Reason on my Nook before I saw this, and you can bet there will not be a renewal in my future. No, I am not thin skinned, but I expect to see respect for customers from any business.

Great app!. This app is gives you up to date political news. Sometimes the app suddenly closes when I try to delete a saved story though.

Decent, but bugged.. An easy way to access articles, for sure. However, links in articles don’t work (this includes both links to full versions of the articles being read and links to external sources). You click them and get no response.

I would like to love it..... I find quite a few of the articles interesting, however, if I have to click 3 places just to read an article, I will pass. Update it soon or off my phone it goes.

Love The Idea, Old Execution. The app is really good for being able to access important news whenever you want, but it’s like using a first generation app.

Great news....terrible app.. I guess the free market does not pertain to programmers and app developers or if it does, Reason just doesn’t pay. This app is pathetic and just drives you to their site for any decent article. Reason should be embarrassed. This app is the equivalent of a libertarian presidential run-underperforming and unimpressive in delivering quality content.

Garbage app. Let’s start with the fact there are different apps in AppStore and both are horrible. There is no way to search articles and interface is terrible.

Great app but.... Seriously, this is a great app but I really wish it had a notification function. Rather than having to enter the app to check for new content I'd prefer a notification, especially on reason24/7 content so it can replace my other news apps.

Horrendous app. Why don’t libertarians ever rank in any election? Because they take the assignment as seriously as they take this app. What a bunch of entitled self absorbed idiots. This would have been a terrible app in 2007, it’s inexcusable in 2023 and should be ejected from the App Store. Dog s_-_. An absolute embarrassment.

Nice app so much better than the website. A much nicer experience than the website which has so many ads. Love Reason’s perspective and this is a great way to get it.

Crashes and pop-ups. Asking whether I want to exit the app and read articles on a website instead. And did I mention it crashes pretty much all the time?

Great magazine bad app. Reason is an amazing magazine that offer plenty of thoughtful and timely articles. So it is infuriating that they have such a poorly designed outdated app. I bet they would win many more subscribers if they would bother to put out a decent app.

Good website bad app. Overall it is pointless to get the app. They ask you to go to their website all the time and the pages never want to load. Don’t wast your time

Fantastic. It's nice not having to listen the mainstream media, even Fox News. I enjoy the variety of info and the overall setup on the site.

Love It. I use this app almost every day. It is my favorite news source; I enjoy that it has many links to other news sources.

Twitter functionality was great until I had to change account names. I don't think you are allowed to change the twitter account linked to the app! At least I can't figure out how.

No Commets, No Stars. This app is useless without the comments. Allow us to read the comments using this app and I would love it.

Great way to stay informed. If you love this site, this app is an excellent way to get the very best liberty articles. Great app and works well.

Freedom!. If you're for free markets, free thinking, and free people, then this app is for you. It's the best app on my iPhone.

No offline mode. Love all the content from Reason, but need to be able to read it while in Airplane Mode. Can't do that, which makes the app useless for travelers.

Good politics. The political material is 5 stars. The app is a little glitchy and crashes on some things you click. But it isn't a serious problem, just occasional.

Needs update. The app needs to be updated to take advantage of in app social network sharing.

Reason is great!. Reason is the best news site and magazine, and this app lets me read it anywhere! Hurray!

Read on the website instead. I downloaded this app thinking it would be like the NYT or WaPo apps, you know, convenient. It’s not. It makes trying to read an article a chore. First of all, the home page opens up in a tiny mini-window. Then when you choose an article you have to select whether to continue in the app or go to the website. If you stay in the app you have to scroll through the whole article on that same mini-window. My recommendation: Forget the app and just go to reason.com.

Refresh!. Apparently, they've substituted an app crash for a refresh button. Good access to blogs and articles, but seriously...add a refresh button for iOS4. It can't be that hard.

Ron Paul 2012!!!. Even though Reason has pissed me off lately for their discrediting Ron Paul, it's the only major libertarian news source. Download Lew Rockwell's app too. Rockwell is a better libertarian than the people at Reason.

iPad Version Coming Soon?. I like this app a lot, however, it's kinda not nice on my iPad1... how about a native iPad version?

App doesn't work well.. The links to articles only sometimes load in the app, most redirect to opening the website with safari. Only the title of article loads and not the actual context. Please fix this soon!!

No longer care for Reason mag. I'm deleting their app after another stupid article on how there is no libertarian argument for forcing people to take vaccines. They are right on some issues, mainly political, but establishment shills on issues like this.

Ads (1.6). I have been a faithful reader, am subscribed to Reason, and I love the content. Unfortunately with the new app update there are now ad banners. I understand the need for advertising, but could you make a paid version of the app without ads? Keep up the great work over at Reason.

Getting better. Reason is great. I get most of my news from there. It's a wonderful moderate libertarian news and commentary site. The app is much better than before, and has a new iOS 7 look, but still needs improvements. For instance, why is "share" a word and not the standard iOS icon? More importantly, the app often has trouble showing inline images or videos, and hitting "read more" on an article launches Safari. Why?

Slick presentation, smart content. Be warned: Reason is highly addictive.

Great content, OK app. I love the content from the folks at Reason. The app is OK. I wish it had the option to change the font size - it is so tiny.
