Life Bible App Comments & Reviews 2026
My favorite devotional tool!. I love this app!!! I have many of the extensions available and would highly recommend this app, it's an eternal investment not to be regretted. The home page is great and free I think...I like it just for that. But beyond that I have purchased many of the extensions available. I can open three to four different views on my Bible each with a built in commentary. They all sync to the same passage so it's easy to compare and get different perspectives. There are also many devotional plans which I love as well. I have three 365 day plans that I read every day. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. I do wish I could have a way to select favorites in the devotionals and touchpoints so that I could come back to them later. In response to another reviewer I would say that yes, changes can be difficult to navigate but usually end up enhancing the experience and worth the effort to learn. A huge thanks to the developers of this Bible app! God bless you all!!
Worm!. This an all around app. First it is easy to read because of its ease of use font size adjuster. Then theirs a super easy to use study bible that also has the Strong’s concordance that shows all the Hebrew and Greek definitions. Just press and hold the word in question until it’s highlighted then and the option appears above the word, define or Strong’s. As well you can highlight any and all parts of the scriptures for your own personal study and recall of the scriptures. The copy and paste features are just fabulous. You can copy and paste any thing you see and put them in own personal notes along with your own thoughts and print them to recall the thoughts you would like bring in a teaching session or a sermon if your called of the Lord to preach his wonderful word. The lists goes own. Get the app and discover for your self the endless possibilities. It’s Great!
For YOUR benefit read Romans 5-8. I have been learning about the Gospel, and my Girlfriend and I have found this app! This is the best bible app ever. Not only do they have KJV bible and lots of others, but they also have little notes that explain the chapter if you don’t understand. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for* sin, condemned sin in the flesh: The rest is for you to download the app and read for yourself! We already have all the spiritual blessings we have been asking for our whole lives!!! This is the TRUE gospel, if you believe in Jesus Christ he has already saved you.
Best Bible app interface on the market. I have been using the Strong’s Concordance app since 2015 to source the scripture back to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. What I didn’t realize, downloading the Tecarta app will allow you to sync your notes and highlights from Strong’s into a single app with a searchable interface. After syncing with Tecarta, in my notes where I cited scripture were automatically hyperlinked such that I could toggle back and forth between relevant portions in the Bible. If that was it, that would be awesome, there’s more. Tecarta allows you to filter your notes, highlights, or bookmarks and then use the search bar to narrow your results further. This is a must if you are doing a categorical study of the Bible. For example, if you type as a note “@Grace” for Eph. 2:8 and separately at 2Pet. 3:18, searching “@Grace” in your notes will bring up both scriptures in the same page. What a powerful tool! A must-have have for every maturing believer.
Want option to go back to the old version. I have used Tecarta for a few years and found the previous version to be what I’ve yearned for in all the years I’ve read the Bible. It was simple to use and adding the study Bible notes on a side view was perfect! I only have 1 hour to read the Bible and do not have time to wander through the many tutorials. I have tried adding the NIV study Bible NOTES to the NIV Bible, but I get scripture instead. Can you just tell me how to get what I had in the old version? I don’t have the time or the patience to do it. I do appreciate the flexibility of the new version, but, alternatively, can you please give us the option of going back to the old version, please??? Thank you for the best Bible app ever! Addendum to above note! When I finally figured out how to just get the Bible study NOTES to show beside the scripture, I was able to figure most everything else out. For others who may have the same problem, go to “v” of the study Bible and choose to “remove Bible text”. Again, thank the developers for the BEST Bible app on the internet! For the first time, I am able to read the Bible with understanding!
This WAS the best Bible APP…. ***UPDATE: Ads have majorly slowed since my complaint. I will add a star for the improvement. I wanted to explain my complaint: Using the app on my 12.9” iPad for note taking DURING church services, a TEMU AD popped up advertising Sex toys and lingerie. This is what prompted this review. Also, there were several Game Ads with Video and SOUND! These type of ADs make using this in services, unusable. That being said, the ads have slowed considerably since my complaint. If they continue to improve, I will update this review. :) *** Oh, I recommended Tacarta to everyone I knew! By far the best I have ever used! My notes synchronized across all my Apple devices! Most of our church members used this app based on my recommendations. I am a CTO and technology is my life! After the change to “Life Bible” things started changing, first, nothing bad, but lately it is nearly unusable! The ADs are incredibly annoying! VERY INAPPROPRIATE ADS ARE DISPLAYED! WE USE THIS IN CHURCH!! I understand the need to make money, even though somehow Tacatra Bible did it perfectly. If you MUST charge for the APP, please let us buy a PERPETUAL license! If you can solve this problem, please, PLEASE build a Windows version of this Bible APP on the Microsoft Store. I will gladly purchase it with a perpetual license as well. Please help us, your long lived customers!
I wish I hadn't hit the update button so quickly. I can appreciate the effort and hard work that must've gone into this new version, It's a real overhaul. I've been using Tecarta since the first year it was released. But now it FEELS like im in the middle of another ad ridden app, being lead around through distractions rather than working inside a more serious study tool. I wish all of the content and plans and books where somehow more separate from the the study tools, but hey... cant make everyone happy : ) Feels less personal, less intuitive. But in all fairness, Im using on MacOS, it may feel better on an ipad. The iOS version looks great in the app store, but Im afraid to update. I'll give this a while longer, maybe it'll grow on me, but the chances seem dim. Here's a suggestion though, to the developers. Maybe consider adding an area where users can building their own touchpoint database from the ground up? That can be viewed independently from the included touchpoints.
Used every day…. I have been using the new update since its release and for the most part I have enjoyed it greatly. A few things that I wish I had: 1. The ability to choose the that is my “home” screen. Like I want to open app and be in the passage where I left off. 2. I really miss the copy drag handles that where in the previous version. It is easier to drag the handle and not have to select each one separately. This will also help not accidentally opening the Strong’s dictionary instead of highlighting the verse. 3. The copy/highlight functions are not convenient at the bottom of the page; I really miss the sections within the fill handle, so I don’t have to move all around the page. This is a small amount of time, but as I study it is a distraction and does take moments away - which adds up over time. 4. Asked for this in the past and did not receive an answer, copy a verse, “John 3:16 KJVS”. Could you provide the ability to have a copy/paste option. I, again, spent time clearing KJVS from the copied verse. Like when I paste a verse, I would like John 3:16 and the verse, or the verse and then reference, the reference bolded and then the verse. 5. When making a note on a verse the text box does not allow me to use my pencil. I able to use my pencil to scroll and choose just not write.
Fantastic App. Nov 2024 Update: I admit I was one of the original naysayers after the big change from Tecarta to LifeBible a couple of years ago. See my original review below. I just loved the simplicity of the Tecarta app. Still I stayed with it. Wow - has my view changed. I truly love the new app. I am the leader of a Christian ministry and I am in the Word 1-4 hours a day, everyday and much of it is on this app. I have 10+ Bible apps and Life Bible is by far the best of them all. Butter smooth in operation, easy to use and find what I need. Perfect daily reading app and a very powerful study app as well. Love the new notes integration (would like to be able to search by a tag - but maybe an update for the future). Anyway no real reason for this review other than to say well done to the developers and keep up the great work! Was trying to get used this new app but can’t because now it is super slow and glitchy on two different iPads. 😩 Update: essentially unusable on my iPad Pro 9.7. Also anytime I open a note on my iPad Pro 11 it slows waaay down to the point of being unusable. I have removed and reloaded numerous times on both iPads to no avail. Developers - please fix.
Very resourceful literature.. I have been using Tecarta bibles and study bibles for eight years now. I keep a complete library on two iPads and use them on a daily basis. The fact that I have so many different versions and study references enhances my lesson preparation. I highly recommend Tecart’s products. However, this new format does not work for me. I would rather have the old format back. I am certainly not pleased with the changes that have been made. Tecarta was a five star app before someone decided to change the app’s format! I am even less pleased with the Tecarta app changes the more I attempt to use it to create my lesson plans. Many of my associates feel the same! We are not simply complaining, we truly do not appreciate the new format. We are not interested at all in the new “home” page as we use Tecarta to assist us in our weekly podcast and lesson plans. There must be some way to revert back to the previous Tecarta app! (Note: My attempts to sign into my Tecarta account are unsuccessful.)
My Favorite Bible app!. Tecarta is by far the best Bible app I have ever used. So many Bible apps are clumsy and cluttered with so many options, but Tecarta is simple, clear, and beautiful. It is not distracting at all. It makes it a joy to quickly open and read the Word throughout the day. It does, however, have all the functionality I need such as easy navigation and searching; customizable view, font and colors; and simple but capable notes, bookmarks and highlighting. Add the Strongs numbers with KJV for 99 cents and forget about it! Then you can instantly see the Greek roots and definitions and search the Bible by the root words. And yet it's streamlined and Incorporated so elegantly. I'm sure what we look for in an app is subjective, but most apps seem to be the same while Tecarta manages to include everything I need, yet keeps it so simple and functional. At this point I would pay for it if it was required to get it again. Great job guys!
Wish it was free for everything. I am looking for something to fit my needs but most of everything is free at first but to get more features and things got to pay and I’m one that doesn’t like to pay for apps it’s a waste of money and it shouldn’t cost to have devotionals and bibles and access to other helpful books and the books should be free on that app as well. I got to have Gods word with me even when I don’t have my Bible or devotionals around and this is ridiculous because I’m looking for a app that I don’t have to purchase anything in to remind me of something and encourage me as I face something that requires more prayer and reading to focus on that rather than the flesh. I like all the things just don’t want to pay a arm and a leg to get what I want and materials I need. Need something to remind me of things with encouragement and a verse amd have a devotional to read some as well. I wish people wouldn’t charge for these things.
New format. I’ve used the Tecarta App for years on all my devices. I absolutely loved its simplicity and intuitiveness. Well, naturally improvements are always in the works and Tecarta did a complete redo. I hated it at first because the instructions were vague. However, I chatted with a very responsive tech support right on the app and they were able to easily help me set up to my personal preferences. So I have now what I had before, but in a refreshed presentation with even more features. For instance I can now display three (3) translations side by side and the commentary notes simply pop up for each verse that has content. Also, more options for hi lighting verses and taking notes. Now that it has been explained to me, I think I love it more than the original app.
A long step backwards.. Life Bible app has made my Bible study process clunky and less streamlined. After using Tecarta for several years, I now have to change settings to remove unwanted and often unhealthy notes from between the Words of Scripture. That never happened before on Tecarta. The interlinear notes were annoying, but what really took this app to the delete bin for me was the much slower general processing time. After having to download the most common international Bible standard (AV), attempting to search it for a reference was way slower than anything that I had ever experienced from Tecarta or any other Bible app. When my data connection was patchy, Life Bible app did not search key words in the downloaded Bible version efficiently at all. It’s very slow! After using Tecarta happily for several years now, this seems to be a long step in the wrong direction. Moving on to Blue Letter Bible app for now and hoping for the best. My test drive on Blue Letter Bible app. was a good experience. The AV came as a standard with the app. and it searched quickly with all data and WiFi off. So far so good.
Excellent biblical resources and not pushy for sales!. I’ve had the Tecarta Bible app for over seven years and it has been a consistent, convenient and accurate resource for Bibles study Bibles devotionals, commentaries and I believe concordances. Recently, Tecarta upgraded their app with a smooth transition and more features and along with those features were provided a tutorial. Some of the features that I enjoy are the automatic scroll, being able to scroll fast or slower, being able to listen to the Bible in different voices male-female or with theatrical music and sound effects in the background. In addition to that, Tecarta offers Bible reading plans. I don’t want to forget to mention several color highlighters plus setting options from voice speed to side-by-side translations. I can go on and on about this application. Finally I want to say that all Bible resources are offered at a free 7 day trial and Tecarta is never pushy or forces me into making purchases but I have made a few purchases because I was able to do it on my terms and at my convenience. I enjoy the new resources and I would have never known about some of them or even brought them were it not for the trial periods. I give five stars and rave reviews for this app! I see myself using this app for many more years to come!
Disappointed. I have had this Bible for a couple of years. It was easy to maneuver in and it was easy to find what you wanted. Now there has been an update and now I can’t figure out how to work it. Why would you change it like this? the update is only on my phone, and it automatically changed over. My two tablets never did that. I still have the old way of doing things on both of them. Unfortunately I use my phone a lot when I am not home and this new update has messed me up. I haven’t had time to try to figure out and when I need it I realize that I can’t use it. You should have left well enough alone. I don’t know why I wrote all of this cause I’m sure it doesn’t matter to whoever is reading this.
Amazing Bible & Resource App. I was told about this app by a pastor friend who uses it. The resources in this app have helped my study time exponentially! Being able to look up definitions of words in their original language, & under Holy Spirit’s direction has helped me grow in my faith. In the old days, I’ve had tons of books in front of me to accomplish the same thing but this app puts it all in one place. I can compare versions of the Bible & search for verses as well. I must confess that I don’t use all the features in this app, but the one feature I would like to see is an interlinear from the Textus Receptus. I use an online version of this, separately. The ability to take notes is an awesome feature as well…and the best thing is that these resources are at my fingertips wherever I go. I appreciate all the hard work put into gathering the resource material & producing this app. I still have hard copies of the resource books but the app helps me to study God’s Word wherever I am. Thank you!
NOT the version I raved to others about.. I bought this Bible app several years ago after trying some others. The Tecarta app was the hands-down winner. But that was then.... A few days ago, I noticed my app icon was different - I hadn't updated it, but I found a whole new, visually pleasing version had made a home on my phone. I played around, trying to find the features I have enjoyed for so long. Where it was user-friendly before, now I see that it takes a tutorial to learn all the twists and turns. Admittedly, I have not watched any instructive videos, and IF I can do that and gain the necessary skills that will make it worthwhile for all the time and effort the developers have put into this latest version, I will boost my rating accordingly. I have interacted with Victor (?) a time or two, and found a "listening ear@. Personally, I'm not sold yet, but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt. I'll reserve my final judgement 'til a later time. UPDATE: It's now been a couple of weeks of me watching some videos and "wandering around" in the new graphics and features. I'm starting to like it and am upping my rating from 2 stars to 4. As pretty as it is, I'm not giving 5 stars because it's simplicity is what sold me on it originally. I understand that it's very difficult to get the right balance of features and the K.I.S.S. principle. Tecarta is still my only Bible app.
App Good - but feel like Hostage. I have used this app for 4-5 years. Clean interface, stable. Liked it. Cannot comment much yet on new interface as only recently downloaded it. I originally chose the app as I could download the Bible and use without having to be online, accepting that I would (and should) pay for the content I use. HOWEVER, plan on paying for Tecarta’s fee as well as individual translation's and other content. The addition of ads in the app is VERY disruptive. For both internal external products. The past version I could ignore them easier. However, In latest version this is even MORE prevalent - with even limited use study Bible push or ads inside the Bible text as well. I understand Tecarta needs to cover the cost of operating the app. Originally, this seems to have been covered by content purchased. At this point I will go ahead and pay the fee to have the ads removed. This is due to fact I have a SIGNIFICANT investment in purchase of various translations and other content on the app. I do however feel like a Hostage to Tecarta, with no options, this was not a part of the deal upfront when I started. If starting from scratch I would likely explore other options and compare features and costs, perhaps ending up back here, I do not know. As I said I have liked the app as an app and can recommend it from that perspective. (Current interface yet to be reviewed fully)
Need a navigation back button. Update: I almost never leave reviews… That I did this time speaks to how much I appreciate the product that has been offered over the years. It also means it took almost a week for me to find the Dev response :-) I thought the little clock thing was for audio! That’s exactly what I was looking for, and maybe even better! I moved it from 2 stars to 4 as a result. 5 stars will come when the html tags in commentary get cleaned up, and the “define” function gets polished. I’ve figured out most of the “new” app, and I have been able to reconfigure it so that I get the content the I used to. (2 translations, and study commentary and cross-references). What I can’t seem to figure out is how to get back to the original chapter once I tap on a reference. For instance, in Isaiah 2, there is a reference to Revelation 6:15. Once Rev 6 is loaded, getting back to Isaiah 2 is cumbersome, where it used to be a simple as tapping the back button. Yes, I can just go through the book navigator, but why should I have to tap 3+ times. It is just cumbersome and annoying every time I do it. For what it is worth… the previous version interface was a 5 star.
Update made changed too much for me!. I opened my app one morning to find an entirely different looking app! The books were not all on the screen. They were found on a wheel that scrolled along with a wheel fir the chapter and the verse. I could no longer see all of the books at once or how many chapters were in a single book without scrolling to the end nor how many verses were in the chapter without scrolling to the end. I don’t like this new way of searching. I don’t like scrolling. You can scroll past where you want to be and then have to scroll back when all I had to do before was tap one time and be where I wanted to be! The font was changed, also and I really don’t like it! I’m sure there were fixes needed but these changes were unnecessary! I’m probably one of the few that doesn’t like all that changed! Wish I could have had a choice in the matter.
Still a great option, but…. Ive been using the Tecarta app for years as a serious study tool when reading scripture. It was fantastic to have a no-frills supplement to my physical study Bible and it was great to use in church when I didn’t have a Bible on hand. It definitely seemed like more of an academic resource, but the addition of the daily devos was really nice and allowed me to start a daily scripture reading focused on God and His Word before diving into scripture. That said, the new update has added a lot of flair, which in my opinion, probably wasn’t necessary. Instead of having a useful and serious tool with which to study the Bible, I now have a YouVersion clone that’s more about our emotional connection to scripture and, honestly, it presents more of a surface-level understanding of the Word. This isn’t inherently bad, but it’s definitely become less useful for me (at least until I figure out a new daily routine while using it). Kudos to the devs for making a very attractive and modern app, it just unfortunately does not represent what I had come to love about the Tecarta study Bible app experience.
Quick Customer Support. When Tecarta Bible upgraded their app and became Life Bible, there were some changes to the user interface. The one that I most noticed was shifting the default way of selecting a Scripture passage to a system of selecting book, chapter, and verse. In the original version, one could type the first few letters of the book name and get a selection list, make a selection then type in the chapter and verse. I preferred the original method. Yesterday, while looking at the settings, I saw the “Email Feedback” and decided to comment regarding the navigation function. Within a few hours, I received a response from customer support explaining how to access the functionality that I thought was missing. The instructions were concise, easy to understand, and provided me with the means to navigate to a particular passage using the method I prefer. I am pleased with the Life Bible and recommend it as a solid choice for those interested in a digital way to access Scripture. The excellent customer support is another reason to use this app.
5 Star Review. I’ve used many Bible apps that I still use to this day. But, the Tecarta Bible app is the number one that I use on my iPhone 11. This app has a lot more info than the other Bible apps I have on my iPad. Do you guys take an iTunes Gift Card so that I can support you by paying to get rid of the ads? I don’t mind the ads, some are useful to me. But I would love to support you for future generations to know more about Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit. The Three in One. The Omnipotent. The Alpha and the Omega. The Great I Am. “He’s everything to me. He’s more than a story. More than words on a page. In history. He’s the air that I breathe. The Water I thirst for. And the ground beneath my feet. He’s everything. Everything to me. ” Song is called “Everything to Me” from Avalon. A Christian band. “I won’t bend and I won’t break. I want water down my Faith. I won’t compromise the world of desperation. What has been I cannot change. For tomorrow and today. Let’s be a light for future generations.” This song is by the Christian band 4HIM. Song is called “For Future Generations”. Every time I hear this very powerful song, I start crying. The Holy Spirit is working within me. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, for what you do.
Wonderful App made better. I’ve had Tecarta for at least ten years. I use it everyday. I’ve been a student of the Bible for thirty some year. At one point in my life, due to a illness my hands permanently rolled up into a fist. I began to get depressed because it was so difficult to turn pages. I tried audio bibles, which are okay, but it was hard for me to study without the Word in front of me. I tried several other apps, but when I found Tecarta, I knew I was home. I worried when I heard a new updated Tecarta was coming, because over the years I had made many notes. When the up date came, I scrolled through my notes and so far I’ve only found one noted that didn’t move over to the new version. Thank you Tecarta. You have a customer for life and many others I’ve told an out to. May God bless the work of your hands.
Used it nearly daily for at least 11 years. Not my only Bible app, but this is still the one I use most consistently because God has demonstrated again and again (truly nearly daily) that He in his Sovereignty uses it to inform and guide me, especially for intercession. I can’t even begin to tell you how often he has provided the best possible verse or devotional for someone or something I am praying for. I love the format, the ease of access, the search features, the devotional options. I’m willing to pay for the Bible and devotionals that I want because I don’t believe that everything Christian should be free…don’t muzzle the ox…and I would look up the actual verse, but that’s not available while I’m reviewing it 😉😆 Like many, I was initially not thrilled with the update. Change is hard. But after using it for awhile I am really impressed with all the upgrades. So much so that we (my family) are now going to purchase the yearly subscription for the access to all the rich commentaries and study Bibles. I’m really excited to dig into the many different options for gaining greater context and understanding. Thank you, Tecarta, for access to such a wealth of material that draws me more deeply into relationship with our beloved LORD.
Simple to use, yet profoundly helpful. I have tried many Bible apps, even sophisticated, expensive laptop ones, but Tecarta is by far the easiest one I have used to organize notes. I like to take notes when I read, and Tecarta’s system of folders and notes makes it easy to be as detailed or simple as you want. The ability to place a note right alongside the verse is wonderful. It is also great to have the ability to place notes in folders and folders within folders, i.e. a folder on Jesus Christ with sub folders on His birth and early life, His parables, His death and resurrection, etc. Or having a folder for each book of the Bible with separate notes each chapter. The possibilities are endless. It is also nice to be able to highlight or underline verses or portions of verses, or to bookmark verses for placement within folders. Helpful, too, is the ability to insert selected Bible verses within a note. It is nice to be able to sample Bible versions or books before purchasing them, and their prices are more reasonable than those of many other apps, especially when they are on sale. It is one of the few apps I use every day. I love it.
Worth Considering. I’ve been using Tecarta for a couple of years now, after spending a decade with the Mantis bible study app, which I loved but the developers were very slow to update. The feature that I wish Tecarta would add most is the ability to stack multiple highlight/marking functions. As it is now, I can highlight OR underline, but I can’t highlight AND underline. I also can’t make a selection bold. My previous bible app allowed me to select a verse (or even just a word) & apply a colored highlight plus underline plus make the text bold. This would give me much more flexibility in marking verses or parts of verses. One more feature I would like is the ability to use the Apple Pencil for note taking rather than being forced to type. Otherwise, Tecarta is a full featured bible study app that is well designed, stable & supported. Highly recommended.
Phenomenal Bible App!!!. I have been using this app for several years now, and I absolutely love it! This is so easy to use, and it has lots of great features. You can choose from multiple ways to navigate, and, no matter which way you choose, you will be able to quickly access whatever Bible verse you want. Also, you can highlight scriptures in four different colors, underline passages, and create margin notes, bookmarks and general notes. Through in app purchases, you can access several different translations of the Bible like the ASV, Amplified Bible, ESV, KJV, NKJV, NIV and many more. You can also view two versions side by side for easy study. Additionally, other in app purchases include study bibles, commentaries, devotional bibles, one year devotionals, once a day devotionals, Spanish language versions, and audio bibles. I really like all the features that the study bibles offer, which can include book introductions, articles, maps, charts, diagrams, profiles, architectural drawings, master index, concordance, references, and study notes. These features can also be viewed whole width or right alongside the scriptures. I would recommend Tecarta Bible to anybody! If you try it, I’m certain that you will be just as pleased with it as I am.
Good app. I came from You version because there was too much distracting content. I just wanted to have a Bible for on the go. The social aspect of you version is really unnecessary too. I searched and searched for a simple Bible app with the versions I read and that was easy to use. I mostly like to cross reference other versions when reading my physical Bible or at church. This one still has way more features than I will ever use but I have it set to open to the Bible where I left off so I don’t have to bypass all of it just to get to the Bible. I was disappointed that the new version added full page ads for games when I do happen to go to the home tab and then back to the Bible. I understand it takes a lot of time and money to run a well done app but it seems odd to me that I’m being distracted from reading the Bible to play games. 🤔 I did go ahead and pay to remove ads so we will see how it goes. Over all thank you for a quality Bible app.
A very useful tool in the time of need.. My wife encouraged me to download this app and I did. I quickly realized that this is not just an app, but a treasure trove inspired by the burning desire to make God's Word available and known to everyone seeking truth and growth in the knowledge of the Lord and King of the universe Jesus Christ. Now is even better than ever. Because it has every resource available, different Bible versions, and commentaries. It is also packed with devotionals and awesome articles and plans to help one to deal with life’s challenges and issues. It's like having my entire personal library in the app at my convince. I used to minister to all who the Lord sends for me. I used it throughout the day. Whenever someone calls me for prayer, advice or just to fellowship. I also use it in my personal worship with my wife. Anywhere and any time.
The Very Best App to Put On Your Device. Tecarta Bible is the cleanest, simplest, most straightforward Bible Study App there is. Both the simplicity of the UI and the ability to cross reference both scripture and various Study Bible / Commentary notes makes this App an invaluable addition for Personal Study, Group leaders, and Pastors alike. Make sure to check out the free “trials” of any material you would like to invest into in the future. Also, check out their subscription service, you get everything they have for a very reasonable price. I personally purchase all my content so that I have only what I know I will actually use. Look for their sales, usually a couple times a year, for the most inexpensive way to own multiple Study Bibles and single volume commentaries.
Outstanding Bible Resource! Highly Recommended. I have been using this app for a number of years and the ease of the platform to go back and forth between resources makes understanding God’s Word easier and easier. The devotional plans allow you to begin at any time and there is a feature to try it before you buy it which is very helpful. The change to the new app name was seamless, as well as, all of the transitions and updates before it. I love this app and you will be happy as well. If you need help customer service is amazing and very helpful in their explanation to you so you will be able to understand navigating the app or a note in a Bible commentary as an example. I cannot say enough great things about this app. It is truly a blessing!!
new update is terrible. it used to be streamlined, simple, straightforward, and offline focused, but now its none of that- now its just a worser version of Youversion but with paid content. I have used Tecarta for years and this new update had removed any reason I had to use it. if I wanted internet based features I would have used Youversion- I liked textarta because of its simplicity in layout and ease of use and non lagy interface- all of that is gone now. Now I use Youversion for a feature rich app (its free) and MyBible for an offline focused feature rich Bible app (it has commentaties, Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, many translations, all for free) really Tectarta has lost what made it stand out and I don’t see why anyone would have an incentive to use it, John gill and other commentaries which cost money on Tectarta are free on MyBible, and as far as paid stuff goes you have a better library over at WisdomTree (Bible app) what made Tectarta desirable was their unique layout and simple interface, and the seamless integration of the content. just give us the option to download the old version Tectarta devs, please!!
The Best Bible App Ever!!!. I have come across many Bible Apps in my day, but this is one of the best apps that I have ever come across in my walk with the Lord. I love The design of how well it is put together. The makers of the Tacarta Bible has made it so easy that anyone could master using it... Thank you Tecarta, for making available so many versions of the Bible. It makes the word of God come alive in so many ways. I I even enjoy the many devotional Bibles as well as commentaries that you have added to your collection. Listed below are a few things that I hope you would consider in the next version of Tecarta... Allow highlighting and underlining when typing in the notes section.... Allow access via the desktop to app applications.... Thanks for again for doing such a wonderful job I really appreciate it. And I pray God's blessings on your continued success. God bless you, Elder Highsmith
Devotion. I have had this app on my phone for a few years and have enjoyed reading the devotion and scriptures during different days and especially following the scriptures during our church services. Beginning of this year as I was opening up the app I realized that more changes have been done. This time the whole app has been changed instead of of just part of what has been changed in years past. I was shocked and surprised when I opened the app after the first of the year. I still haven’t figured out how to get to the different books that I had purchased in the past year or so. I know changes are good at times and I know with new people coming on board they have big ideas how to change the app. You may agree with me or maybe you won’t but some people have difficulty understanding what changes have been done. Thanks for your time.
Used to be great. App used to be great. I rated it’s a five star plus prior to the update. Now it is complicated to use. It is no longer a basic Bible app that you can open and read your Bible and your commentaries. They added a lot of stuff that some of you may like, just not me. One very frustrating part for example is that I switch between versions of the Bible or commentaries quite often to see the full meaning of the text. It used to be easy to do that. Now it is much harder to get to the commentaries. Also when switching between versions and commentaries it goes back to the last book and chapter you used when you’re in that version or commentary. For example if I’m reading John 11 in new king James version and want to see what the English standard version says after getting to the English standard version I will find that it’s inAnother book of the Bible. The commentaries are even worse I can’t even figure out how to get them to the correct place and I’ve given up very frustrating!
My favorite AND only Bible app!. I have been using Tecarta as long as I have had a Smartphone. I even purchased other texts, I currently use KJV and CSB with this app. As an phone sales manager I even download this app for clients when they ask for a great Bible application that won’t bog down their phone with ads or take up too much storage. I seriously love this app. I love the daily scriptures and notifications. I love the free daily devotional from various devotionals for private study time. It’s easy to highlight and recall highlighted verses. You will even have a place to make notes on where you are currently studying in scripture. This app has everything you need to further develop your relationship with Christ in today’s ‘on-demand’ culture. I’m sure there are other great features I have yet to discover. I’m not a huge fan of digital reading (my Kindle hasn’t been charged in months), but this really comes in handy when getting into a discussion on scripture with a friend or colleague or who ever you may encounter. Thank you Tecarta for creating such a beautifully simple and easy to use Bible.
Subscription and options. I love the option to have a subscription that gives me access to all of the commentaries and Bible translations. The price for the subscription is low. I love the option to custom make a Bible plan or create my own. I like the Bible book study of the month. I like the option to choose a couple Bible plan if you are married. I’ve been married 27 years this year. You have so many options to become stronger in the Lord with the wealth of knowledge at your fingertips. There’s so much information & it’s empowering. You have done an amazing job with the new app and I can’t give it enough praise. This in my opinion is the best Bible app that I’ve seen. There’s so much content that you will have years of reading and learning. I like the option to have the Bible read to me using the audio. I can go on, just download the app. Blessings
Once Perfect Bible App Not So Perfect Update. I used to read this app first thing out of bed everyday. It would open on the devotional and I’d read them and some would have me thinking all day. With the update my old favorite format is gone. And the setup is still a mystery and a mess. I admit I must be aging out of this app since I want a simple open and read the meat not a menu option while I’m still waking up. I will give it a fair chance and see but for now I’m not thrilled. Updated review after a few weeks? Seems much longer. I use a free copy on my phone and a paid copy on my tablet and I’m still not enjoying the recent upgrade to the app. Cust service was great getting back right away after my initial bad review and advised I give it a try. Well I’ll keep trying but so far it’s not winning me over. Perhaps it’s me, but the thing that sold me on this bible app was it’s simple inspirational daily verses and lessons along beautiful photos. It was curated perfectly for reading first thing in the morning and reflecting on and revisiting throughout my day. Those days are in the past and now the menu is not at all inspiring. I don’t like giving negative reviews but do so for this important app in hopes it will help you focus on what you want to offer. Thank you for The Word.
Favorite Bible. This app just keeps getting better and better. Here are some of my favorite features: 1. I can add my own notes in any verses I read. A little icon appear so I can read that note next time I read that passage. It also keeps track of all those notes in one place so no need to search for notes in the Bible. 2. I can copy and paste any verse or note I have written and place them in any document on my iPad. I suffer from arthritis so am now doing my Journal in a word document app. I copy and paste my notes and verses that speak to me right into my Journal. 3. The search function offers a complete concordance. Type in a word and see every verse that uses that word. You are given the choice of the exact word or all tenses of it. Tap on the verse and it takes you right to the chapter where you can copy and paste the verse into another document. 4. There is a function that brings up the last 50 verses you entered to read. A great way to see patterns in the verses God has been using to speak to you, or just to find that verse you were reading last week. 5. Verse of the Day, Tip of the Day and a Devotion appear the first time you open the app each day. I learned about the 2 of the above helps in Tip of the Day. 6. It has an audio component so you can listen to the Bible. I recommend purchasing a study Bible and translations of your choice through the app. It will give you all the notes and helps associated with that Bible.
Great app!! But….. I gave three stars because I’ve been using this app for years but this new “update” was not a good idea, I get that you want to “modernize” the app, I do get that, but many features were changed that were very valuable tools when it came to teaching.. for example before you could do split screen and have the Bible text plus commentary side by side now you click a “bubble” and the whole screen changes to the commentary, also before they had a Spanish setting for Spanish speaking people and you could read the books of the Bible in Spanish, now the version is in Spanish but the books are still in English and there is no way to get them in Spanish…or every time you get back in the app you need to always hit the “read” button to go to the Bible and it’s just overall NOT user friendly at all. Now, it’s NOT a matter of change cause I am ok with change but change for better not the other way around. Just being as honest as possible guys.
Latest Update. I have been using Tecarta Bible app for several years. It was very helpful to have a bible commentary open beside the Scripture. But with this new update that they made, the usability of the app software has made navigating the site much more difficult. I’m still trying to use it and learn, but I have other bible study software that I may go back to and dump Tecarta. I wish that they had left the app website along instead of creating something that pushed so much for sale. Was a fan, but not now! Bill Nov 18, 2022 I feel that I should update my last review. After I got involved in using the newest updates to Tecarta Bible, I have found the new version to be very useful. All my commentaries were there. I have found the new version to be as enjoyable as the older version if not more so. Yes, there was a time to adjust to the changes but all is good for my daily Bible studies. I’m a 5-star instead of my previous 1-star rating. Bill
Bring back the simplicity ?. Hey, I know you all want to improve and everything, I also love that you are growing! I LOVED this app before the most recent update because it was so simple. - I loved the simple word search that brought all the verses for words or phrases I still can not find an app as awesome as your old search system. - I loved how simple your highlighting system worked. - I loved the limitations of your app. The minimalistic approach - I loved the simple verses of the day. - I loved how I could simply use my KJV and Strongs. All I had to do was click a word and BAM there were the definitions. But now… I am sad to say you lost me, do not get me wrong, this is your business your company do as you wish. But just know that I (among what appears to be many others) really miss your old app. Maybe you could bring it back!!? Make it another completely different Bible app?!! Please Tercarta bring back the simplicity into a world that is so convoluted and chaotic! Know that I give you one star but I want you to have five just because of how amazing your app once was. I am NOT rating what it is now. I have deleted it. Keep growing, and maybe one day you will bring back the simplicity?!
The Best for simple Bible study!. I’ve had the Life Bible app for about six years. I use the King James Version with the Strong’s Concordance, though there are numerous versions available. There are also devotionals and commentaries. Everything is very reasonably priced. I love the ease and many choices of colors for highlighting verses. There is also an underline option, audio option, and notes option, as well as others. There is a memory feature in the upper left corner of my phone that allows me to select and return to previous passages for ease of following along with preaching. The only negative is the difficulty in editing words in the notes feature. During preaching, the Holy Spirit will often speak to me and I note it. I can make mistakes typing fast. The entire word has to be selected, deleted, and retyped because the cursor won’t go into a word to correct the mistake. (I’m hoping this update has corrected that!) Everything else is wonderful!! I recommend it highly!
Easily the BEST Bible app on the market!. This Bible app goes way beyond the call of duty. Everything from the smooth experience and intuitive controls to the variety of study tools and ability to choose almost any version of the Bible. I have had numerous other Bible apps in the past and not one of them comes close to the Tecarta Bible app. Innovative features like having different search functions such as using a scroll wheel (that uses the iPhone's Haptic Engine as you scroll) to search through the Bible feels organic and satisfying. There are also a really healthy amount of ways you can bookmark, highlight, and save your notes within your Bible that I find very useful. Having the ability to make an account and save your Bibles and notes everywhere you go is a very convenient feature that wraps the entire package up nicely. I also love the fact that the app can notify you every morning of the verse of the day, while the devotional of the day nests right below it. It's a beautiful, intuitive, and useful app that I consider to be the best among Bible apps. 5/5 - Excellent work.
Terrible update very disappointed. I have this app on my IPhone 12 and my wife’s IPad. I used to use the app everyday on my phone. I opened it the other day to a totally different version. I don’t carry the IPad with me all day but I do carry my phone all day and I would use the app constantly. First of all why was the update automatic. It is really bad. Why did you have to change a good thing? We didn’t need more colors and all the other refinements that you put in. The app worked great the way it was. Hopefully you won’t push an automatic update to the IPad. I’m probably gonna look around for a similar bible app that is close to your old version. I have read all the other reviews and everybody says the same thing. The update is not good, they all agree. I sincerely hope you decide to bring the old app back.
This app is AWESOME!. I was able to transfer all my notes, highlights and the McArthur study Bible purchase quickly and easily. I noticed when I looked at my highlights the words were legible, scriptures were in order by color and it was easy to switch between the colors. I was very glad the old app was retired! Very happy for the improvements! It’s so easy to look up scripture, a specific book, chapter or single words. You can set it to auto scroll while reading, and you can adjust the scroll speed. Night reading is cool too, it doesn’t give off as much light. There are so many settings you can choose; daily reminders, verse of the day, font, font size (my fav), backup content. The list goes on!! You WILL NOT be disappointed!
Great update, bummer about prices. It seems like Tecarta did an awesome job of really designing a great update to their app. The previous version of the app was very functional, but had a few places where it looked pretty rudimentary. The update really brings a nice new look to the user interface, and add some really nice features and options, some nice ways for choosing what the layout looks like. It also is really neat that it allows the ability to do parallel passages while in normal portrait mode. The biggest disappointment that I found in the new version of the app is that I can no longer read commentaries for free. I get three days out of each month to read them, and then, after that, I would have to pay money if I wanted to continue reading them that month. That is something that used to be free for public domain commentaries like John Gill’s. I’m really pleased with this app. It does a great job of giving me what I want in a Bible app.
Best bible app!. I have been looking for a good bible app for years. While the popular Bible app works well for basic reading, its feature set is too restrictive for me to be useful for in depth bible study. Take highlighting/underlining as an example. The Bible app, which I had been using mainly due to a lack of better alternatives, allows you to select complete verses only, which is problematic when you want to highlight parts of the verse in one color, another part in another color. Life Bible app supports that and so many other features that I didn’t even know I would appreciate so much (cross translation highlighting/notes references and study/commentary, for example). Beyond the Bible app I have tried many all other apps like Bible Study, Bible Gateway, Blue Letter Bible, and most recently Bible Chat. While they all have some things they do well (Blue Letter Bible great for word study, Bible Chat great for AI generated answers straight from the Bible), overall their design often lacks in appeal and simplicity. I could go on and on what a fresh breath of air Life Bible has been for me, and the annual subscription is 100% worth it for me. If you’re unsure download and try for yourself. They give you a whole month to try out without any commitment. If I could give this app 10 stars, I would without hesitation. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Happy customer. I used their first app right up to this current iteration. Always great. Reliable. Quality functionality and their help has always been responsive and efficient, both times I’ve needed it in many many years of having this app. The added feature are included without destroying the foundational feature.
I love it!. Well organize and easy to find meaning in every words
Please remove advertisements. I have been using this app for years and I love it. I use it daily. However, recently they have introduced advertisements that pop up every day when I open the Bible. advertisements are just so out of place in the holy scriptures. Please consider not having daily adverts each day that pop up when I open the Bible. The Bible is Holy, and should not include advertisements.
The update is fantastic. I’ve been using Tecarta for many years - I liked the layout and function and once I subscribed it was even better. However with the newest update and a complete design and function overhaul - it is even better! After a little adjustment in learning the new app, I’ve come to realise the huge improvement and extra benefit it brings. Daily, I’ve been using the three pronged Verse of the Day, Touchpoints and daily devotional. The new Explore feature where you can select a verse and see a list of commentary and study bible on a particular verse is incredibly helpful for personal study and preparation. Touchpoints is very helpful - takes me back to teenage years of flicking through the back of my Bible trying to grapple with issues of faith and life. Well done to the team- this app is fantastic.
An excellent Bible study tool. Tecarta is an excellent Bible study tool that has reasonably priced study content (especially when you get items on sale) to help you open up the Word of God. Simple to use, refreshing interface and able to provide real depth and analysis of any passage or word. It also allows you to pull along side the text various commentaries around that passage. Highly recommend it.
Fabulous App. I’ve been using this app since I first had an iPhone - a 3 I think. It’s always been stable and the improvements that have been added over the years have been terrific, especially in the search category. On top of that the support I’ve gotten from the Help Desk has always been excellent and timely. Thank you team for such a great app that keeps me in the Word.
Give me the old version back!. Noooo!! Why did you do this to me! I want the old version back. Should’ve turned off auto updates. I just want a simple bible reading app, I don’t want all the frills it’s distracting. That’s why youversion annoys me as it’s more like logging into Facebook. I have heaps of study bibles and the layout of everything is all moved. Whyyy no warning so annoyed
Just needs a quick view of highlights. Love this app, just wish I could see the actual text of the verses I’ve highlighted in the highlights section of My Content, rather than just the address. Would be good if there was an option for that.
Update. I haven’t updated my version for a while so it feels new again after I did. Very easy to use, help full and smart. Thanks
The best app ever. I have been using this app for 7years and it is full of knowledge and wisdom. I am able to study in depth, because that’s how this study bible works. The NIV study bible give you accurate access to certain information that is not found in other bible apps. So I highly recommend using this amazing gift as your study bible or even just reading it as a daily reminder for verses and devotional.
One more feature please. Best bible app I’ve had. I haven’t seen the feature on any other app but I’d love it if there were a way to include a custom reading plan for my church. One click - today’s reading. Ooh yeah!
New version, Trying to be too clever.. We used to love the way the previous version worked and looked. Clean, simple, and direct. The new version is not intuitive and has so many options, you can’t get to what you want quickly.
Thank you. This app has all the features I need for my bible study, Im enjoying it and I dont have to open other apps for research, it is all there.
Everything that is needed. Have tried many versions but found this to be the fastest so far. Love the ability to copy some verses. Simple is best. Also accounts allow to sync books across different mobile platforms. Recommended
First Class Bible App.. Makes it easy to read and listen to the word of God and to view commentary to help with a better understanding of passages where required. Highly recommend.
Help for every day. Thank you Lord for the facts of provisions of food with promises. Amen to those who have used their skills to share this.
I found what I wanted. I have been looking for a reliable online BIBLE for a while and I found it. Life Bible has more than what I expected. It has some of the best resources to study along with the Bible.
A Good Revamp of Tecarta Bible. I like lots of things about Life Bible, including the three character method of choosing a Bible book. I like the ability to export my notes to a form in which I can further edit them. I usually take notes while listening to sermons, but I missed some of this morning’s sermon while experimenting to find out how to create a new note (rather than append to last Sunday’s note). The modality of this part of the user interface results in the “new note” control being totally hidden until in non-edit mode. Modal interfaces are frequently a nuisance for users, and app designers should avoid them as far as possible. I am rewriting my app for Bible translators (Key It, on the AppStore) in SwiftUI. I discovered that .onChange(of: isFocused) { action } where action calls a local suitable save function ensures that the most recent edits are saved before control passes to whatever the user selected. That way every verse visible is editable and I don’t need a modal interface. With a little more attention to detail and elimination of irritating modality, Life Bible will get 5 stars from me!
latest update not as functional as the previous version. I have using Tecarta Bible since day one and it has been wonderful up until the recent update to the new UI. The scrolling is slow and laggy. The text are not full width unless you enlarge the fonts. Not as user friendly as the previous version IMO.
Consistent high quality. I have used Tecarta daily for nearly 4 years and love the way it works on my iPad and iPhone. As a senior pastor, I value the simple ease of use, the many versions available to compare side by side, and the bullet-proof reliability. I had it recommended to me by another Australian senior pastor and have thanked him several times. And now the recent upgrade (Oct 2022) has added even more user-friendly features and a depth of options that I look forward to exploring and possibly using - but it looks like there is way more than I need! I remain someone whose primary goal is to easily access and read the Bible without bells and whistles getting in the way. I frequently add highlights and write notes - both are easily and simply done - and I occasionally want to access a commentary, which is also straightforward in Tecarta. But on the whole, I want uncluttered connection to God’s Word in two or three versions without distraction and fuss. Tecarta delivers. Plus the one time I sent an email with a question, it was answered thoroughly and personally within a few business days. This is impressive considering they are dealing with a global user base of several hundred thousand people. 5-Star - highly recommended.
God is good. I just started to get back into the word and I couldn’t ask for any better app to start with. God is good!
When I turn on my iPad, I go to Tecarta. It’s my best companion on iPad, whenever you are free and wherever you are, tecarta is just a finger click away for you to go deep study with the word of God. Love the quest study bible, ESV study bible and MacArthur bible commentary series offered at a very affordable price when comparing with Logos and Olive Tree.
Struggling to use it. Each time I open it, I’ve got it then search for the Bible. I hope this is just something while they start the new app, but the app that it replaced always opened up where you left. The Support is incredibly good.
Simplicity. It’s a thorough but simple app with study helps and notes to make the return referencing and finding scriptures again pleasant and easy. It’s great that it works off line. The search is good but can’t seem to handle a few words together. The online Bible apps are annoying and clunky Simple and effective. BUT! Why did I get a google add when I paid a fee to be add free. $1.49 or something? Do you want more? What has Tecarta got to do with Google? Does Google own it now? That would be a shame. Kind regards God bless
New version not good. This new version looks like Tecarta is trying to be part of the crowd, like they are trying to be like other apps. The old version was unique, simple and intuitive. The reading is tedious because all the fonts seem to make it bunched up and so hard to navigate around the app. Bring back the old version
Not a fan of the recent update. I’ve used this app for years and I’ve loved it for so long. But the recent update’s made a mess of everything. The navigation throughout the app feels so counter-intuitive compared to the older version, where I could easily scroll to and search for any book, chapter and verse that I want. It’s also so hard to find the verses I’ve highlighted since I can’t look at them at a glance. While I like that the verses can be highlighted as a group, it’s hard to find anything since they all just show the verse references and not the verses themselves. Please bring back elements from the previous version, I miss the simplicity of the layout and navigation.
A very good resource. I use this app for a great deal of research. It is quick and logical with many useful and intriguing features. A real blessing.
Still frustrated. Having used the old version and now the new I’m so frustrated with this new version. I can’t find the background of the book I’m reading, author, history etc. The previous version was intuitive and this one just frustrates. My highlighted verses don’t have the first line like the old version just chapter and verse another frustrating issue. All in all not happy.
Essential app. I have used Tecarta for about 3 years now and have really enjoyed the daily readings. The commentary’s are an added bonus.
Teaching Tool.. This bible app is easy to use and such a blessing for those who make use of it. The bible, being the most important book on earth is where we gain life’s critically important lessons and prophetic warnings against disobedience to God’s commandments. I use this app on a daily basis.
Bible. A great app and I understand from Cory that it is being upgraded by late this year or early next. I hope the comments for each section will be verse by verse as the previous version was. I don’t find the present method very useful. Regards, Ian brown.
Update is looking fresh.. Wow the recent redesign looks fantastic. Could teach the big tech apps a thing or two. I love seeing the way the church can innovate.
Valuable Tool. Easy to use and help contentment. As a peached and Pastor I find this really valuable tool in prep and also own spiritual health.
What a shame they sold out :(. I have been using Tecarta Bible app for almost ten years and have already paid money for updates and books that I wanted to use, and now I have to pay a subscription to continue using without ads??? “For the love of money is the root of all evil…” shame on you Tecarta.
The update is clunky, uppload is slow than previous version.. Disappointed, this has been my number one-go-to as a leader. When an app is complicated and difficult to navigate as previously, it leaves one sincerely disappointed.
The bible app that delivers.. This app has so many applications to it. I am continually finding new information and bible aides as upgrades are added. After several years of use it still amazes me. I might add that the the support crew have always been very helpful and efficient. Terry
I’ve used this app for years. I’ve been using Tecarta KJV for years now. I started with Samsung and moved to an iPhone and have been through a few iPhones now using it. I’ve tried other apps but this one is by far the best especially for copying and pasting verses to send to people. Also I love the verse of the day with a beautiful picture of scenery. I recommend tecarta KJV to anyone new to Bible apps.
Improved. More colours Easier searching Previous version was excellent This version has all the features of the previous version and some. I have been greatly disappointed by other product ‘upgrades’ so was wary of this one so I have been pleasantly surprised
new version needs to be as good as the original. This new version is not as useful as the old version because I have to download everything again!
Best Bible App Ever ❤️. I have looked at a lot of Bible Apps, and to tell you the truth when others mention other apps, l do not even bother looking anymore because nothing compares to my Tecarta Bible App. It really is by far the best and does everything! But don't take my word for it, discover yourself all the great benefits this bible app has to offer.... You won't look at getting any other either! 😉😁🙌🏼❤️
Why change? Why all the ads??. I loved the old version I paid for a few years ago. One click and Gods word was ready to go. Now it’s very difficult to navigate. And why would you put ads in it? Nothing worse than trying to have time with good and an ad pops up for a game. Really not happy about this. I paid for a lifetime subscription. You should have left the old platform running and started a completely new app. Now I have to find another app. Such a shame ☹️
The best app. This app helps you grow with your walk and faith in Christ and really helps you understand scripture with its multiple study bibles I highly recommend you download this app
Tecarta bible app. When the app underwent its upgrade a few years ago I found it difficult to use (I am a bit old school and find many apps difficult to use), but now that I have a better understanding and it has developed further, I find it to be very good and the support team prompt and responsive!!
Easy to swap between versions. Having access to different bible versions when responding to bible study questions demonstrates how different translations/interpretations can colour a passage. It adds complexity, but facilitates understanding.
Suz. I didn’t download the new version, as l loved my old version, & thought l’d lose what l was comfortable with. At 75yo l find new tech stuff hard to get used to…..if ever!!! But one day l tapped the new download by mistake……. Probably not a mistake, probably God led my finger!!! Only 2 frustrating days use, & then l had it down pat!!! I am now rapt in it. Best mistake l made!!! Or best download God led me to!!!! And it’s been so easy for my to navigate. I love the personal plans l can make, reviewing ready made plans, reading daily, the screen prompt to go to Tecarta first when l open the ipad each day. Yep!!! Its worthwhile. Its great. Love it. I did already have bibles, devos, commentaries l had downloaded over the years of using Tecarta, so that made it easier for me too…once l found them.
Excellent.. Excellent to store my Bible notes on each verse. Excellent to have commentaries on hand. Always with me on a digital device. Thankful.
Far away from what drew me to Tecarta. The original layout to make the text appear like a paper Bible is what appealed to me and made me choose this app over others. Since then so many changes have been done to the app it is no longer recognisable. At one stage after one of the unwanted update I had massive problems with my personal notes. Many hours spent with support led nowhere. This morning I wake up to yet another change, in the navigation. All Bible books are now in capitals, distinctly less readable. 'Oh but we have added colours to make it more readable!' Time to start looking for another app.
Tecarta. Tecarta insisted on downloading adds and format that I do not want to see when I open the app. I just want to read the bible without looking at add content or junk. This cannot be changed or removed despite the fact that I paid for the no adds option. It’s very irritating. They have done this deliberately and will not respond to emails. Very poor form on Tecarta’s part.
Love this app. The choice of Bible translations is fabulous. The Devotional plans - so many options from Bible reading plans to Devotional plans. These can be set up as personal or to share as a group. The support team were efficient and reliable when I had an email hiccup. The communication and updates have been great. This is by far, my favourite app. It beats social media. It is a great support to people’s spiritual growth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
New update. I immensely dislike the new iPhone update, I’ve waited a couple of months before writing this review & I still cannot get along with it. Nothing is simple any more, cannot even find some features that were once easy to use. Update well instead of listening to everyone they've now decided to upgrade the iPad version & I dislike it’s as much as the iPhone version. Why can you not leave things alone when they worked so well. Very disappointed customer. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Difficult to navigate. Navigating is more difficult with the upgrade.
Hallelujah. Tout ce dont on a besoin pour avoir facilement la Parole avec nous partout 💗💗💗
Awesome. I am in love with the variety of interpretations and context given to every line with the spirit of God I am able to understand and articulate the grace embedded in each word by comparing the different versions. It’s simply amazing. God be praised.
My go to bible app. Great app, lots of content. I think you can go monthly for everything or just purchase what you need. App doesn’t have any bugs that I’ve encountered and is straight forward to use. Responsive and excellent customer service. 😻
Love it. Wow, I’m really impressed! It has everything you could ever want from it and yeah, hope you guys also really enjoy it!
This is the best Bible app I’ve ever tried!. For years I used Youversion bible app but they are much too aggressive for me, I got tired of being asked to invite friends every single day. The Life Bible App has everything I could want. When you put in a search word that word pops up in all different translations and all different verses. You can pick your favorite three translations and have them side-by-side. When you highlight a verse it simply colors the letters and doesn’t cover over the whole verse which is awesome. I’ve only seen a silent two second commercial very rarely, there’s nothing intrusive or aggressive about this app at all. And tons of resources and so much more. I am so happy that I found this app that I’ve deleted Youversion and Bible Gateway. I highly recommend.
Fantastic App : Fantastic customer support. What more can I say!!
Easy to use. This is a very user friendly app. I like being able to switch between the different versions of the bible to help increase my understanding of what I am reading. I use the split screen with the bible on one side and a commentary on the other.
Old version was better. When the previous version retired it was stated that everything in the old will be synced. Now after syncing the old thing, I discover that the new one has ads and ask me to pay subscription, this is unethical from the company. Also the new layout is lousy unlike the original version. I paid lot of money on the old app buying many resources through it. Now I find that I have to pay more. This will never happen. Avoid paying anything to this app. Get the free version and don’t pay a penny.
5 Star Rating. Excellent app for spiritual progress. Thank you Tecarta team for this great innovation. Omotayo.
Taking note/ Jarai bible and Vietnamese Bible. I couldn’t take note on this version, even though it clearly show that there’s notes Hoping they added Jarai bible on the mobile app as well the Vietnamese bible in the near future.
Bad. What happened to my niv study bible with the beautiful maps and charts?? This is the most confusing garbage I have ever tried to use. I paid good money for my original purchase and it is s gone so this app can go too. Happy to delete this.
Amazing Bible App. Awesome Bible app! Use it every time in church!
Love it, just one thing missing. I really love this Bible app. There’s only one thing I would love to see: being able to takes notes and highlight with my Apple Pencil.
Nice application. I really appreciate this app. It would be nice to have a dark grey background instead of a stark black background for night reading. The stark contrast between black and white is hard on the eyes. Theses another Bible app that’s literally called “Bible” with a feather icon that does this well. It allows users to chose their colours of text vs their background which makes for a pleasant reading experience. Keep up the great work.
Lots of material. It was a bit busy at first but that was because of the vast content , great for reference and bible study
The Best. Excellent, excellent, absolutely the best Bible app. Fantastic features. I love it.
Thank you for this app .. May God bless you I am learning 😊
Grounded. I am so grateful for this app to keep me grounded in the word of God on a daily basis. I’ve always wanted to read the entire Bible and I’m at first John chapter 5 nearing the end of the book. I can’t wait to start it all over again. Glory to God.
Useable on or off internet. I love that I can use this app with or without the internet to access my Bible. It’s also been recently updated to having commentaries, readings in Chronological order and other things I’m looking forward to explore!
Not as good anymore. I can appreciate the additions, but not at the expense of the app working properly. In a weird way I feel like the Bible itself is sorta minimized with all the other stuff. Originally I just wanted an easy to access Bible now it’s even more difficult to access the Bible as sometimes I try to use my phone to show someone a verse from the Bible and it says I’m offline which doesn’t make sense and I have to go elsewhere. I miss the old Tecarta Bible.
A great resource!. I rarely rate apps, but this one is worth doing. I’ve been with Tecarta for a few years and I can’t say enough about how helpful and handy it has been and still is in my spiritual journey. Having so many translations offline at my fingertips during my Bible study time and on-the-go is priceless. The updated version is even more awesome once you get used to it - which requires very little time to do. I love it!
Well done!. After migrating over from a previous app I am very pleased with how well this app is working. My previously purchases, notes and hi-lifted texts all migrated over. Took me no time to figure it out. I didn’t read the instructions and that just shows how easy it is! Multiple Bible side by side comparison is a plus and is easy to set up and make changes. I use the audio Bible function to fall to sleep with. Works great.
Lots of options etc..but. This version replaced a previous one. It has many more features. But you know I was used to the old version which was simpler. A familiar Bible is a good friend. I didn't need to replace it.
Upgrade(?) removes user content. I’ve spent a great deal of time highlighting verses in the CSB app, and was then told it was no longer supported and had to backup and install and resync this app. Was guided through the steps and found all my highlighting gone in the new app.
Sorting by verse. How do you get the verses to line up beneath each other? Currently they are on the same line. The view looks cluttered and unorganized.
The Bible is awesome!. An amazing book! And yes, you guys have a great app, too… 😊 I like the verse of the day - the verses chosen have impact. 👌
Best Bible app I've found!. I've used a few different Bible apps, and this one is #1. I'd been using the popular YouVersion app, but got so frustrated I went searching, and happily arrived here. If you're used to YouVersion, be patient because this app's more intuitive, but the interface is very different. It also doesn't have the annoying clutter of YouVersion trying to be another social media venue – this is just slick and helpful Bible reading, comparison, and a robust study tool.
Resource Rich. It’s nice to have so many resources all in one place in an easy to access format.
Excellent Resource. When I need to find a quick clarification from reliable sources I turn to this app to further my understanding with the Word.
Good BUT…. Most features require a data connection to function.
Very Good 👍. This is a Very good Bible I’m enjoying it a lot. Thank You 🙏.
Excellent. This is my very present source for reading the WORD of God daily. We all need it!
The most comprehensive bible app. This bible app has everything a bible lover wants. From multiple parallel versions, to concordance, to study bibles, to ease of use. Not to mention, everything you need to study is all in one app. It’s also very easy to use. As an avid bible reader, no other bible app compares to this amazing one. The recent update this past year confirmed that for me. There’s so much that to this day I’m still learning how to use the app even more! Amazing work Tecarta!
Great App!!. Highly recommend this app!
NLT Bible. I love the NLT Bible App, it has a lot to offer, I am enjoying it for many years already, study prayer daily verses and so much more
Bible. It is easy to find what I’m looking for
Can I give 6 stars?. At first I was annoyed that the old app was being replaced, but this update is astounding. All that I liked before and so much more! All my notes and highlights seamlessly transferred. So easy to add/close KJV with Strong’s in parallel to check on the Greek or Hebrew. Click on explain and you have all sorts of commentaries on the verse. Search works great. The audio reader sounds like he actually believes what he is narrating. I love the way you can create prayer lists and set reminders. The creators must have prayed a lot about this because it uplifts Christ so powerfully.
The dames anointed bible.. Can dakes bible be in application also?
Recommend. Having used Tecarta Bible App for over 10 years, I would recommend it to those who like to read different versions, commentaries and like to write notes. Whatever tool that helps you spend more time in God’s word is encouraged. Tecarta upgrades it’s software occasionally to provide more features and functionality. Be blessed by reading and delighting in God’s word.
Best bible apps ever, well thougt and practical, personal and user friendly. Thank you for your good work ! For God and eternity purpose ! Ammy
Excellent Bible App. Great app. Works flawlessly. Works offline. Good selection of available versions to purchase. Like the new feature that allows the comparison of a verse across translations. Powerful search feature. Support staff are responsive and helpful.
No going back. Having diminished eye sight I was having trouble seeing the print in my Bible. Also it was very heavy and holding it close to my face was becoming impossible. Discovering Life Bible has changed all that. The font is perfect, it’s no heavier than my phone and I have many different translations at my finger tips. It’s very easy to use. THANK YOU!!!!!
My Favourite Bible App. I have used Tecarta Bible app for many years. I love being able to sync my study notes to my computer. A well thought out and built app. I highly recommend it.
A gamified app, not a Bible. This is a gamified concordance, not a Bible. You cannot read it. It is not a useful aid for reflection and meditation. The words are not the Message - “the medium is the message.” It is a frame that masks its masterpiece. Every square centimetre of screen real estate is boobytrapped with a popup, markup tool or mode shift, or some other IED. It artfully transforms the practice of prayer and centring into a balloon-popping midway arcade game. The Bible isn’t even the default view or left-most button. Those are reserved for advertising, this app’s higher calling. If you have ever used a paper Bible, it is hard to penetrate this grating experience. You are served a spectacular meal in a mousetrap. If you try to touch your food, it jumps up and snaps at you. Do this two or three times and you completely forgot you were hungry, and are driven to abandon it. That said, it works fine as a feature rich, bug-free gamified concordance. If that’s why you want, it is a five-star success.
An excellent spiritual resource. Excellent resource for everyday living and spiritual growth. Mine has scaled since I added it to my inventory of Christian tools and resources.
Easy. This Bible app is easy to understand Gods Holy Word. Making it easy to understand how we follow Jesus Christ and his Will not our will for our lives Amen
Not sure yet. Might be that I have to get use to it , but as for now I like the old Tecarta app better.
Bible verses. I mostly like the app; but some of the Bible translations that are used take away from the original depth of the Word.

Amazing App for study. I’ve tried several Bible apps and this one is the best for studying. I have downloaded an NIV study bible, which you can choose what translations and material you want to download. On my IPad study notes are split screen with the Bible and I use two different translations at least. You can also highlight or underline in different colors. This allows me to chunk ideas and then I can take notes using a keyboard as I listen to a Bible commentator or just read on my own. I used to use the most popular Bible app and the one thing it did better was read in a more human voice. Other than that, this one is SOOO much better.
This Bible is perfect although. This Bible is perfect although threw the new update it takes a few seconds to load. As when I pull up any chapter to read it takes a few. Other than that this one is the best to read with all the highlights and things now as far as audio my favorite is (Bible is) I love that audio Bible without the drama affect the narrator that reads the first few books of the Bible Genesis and forward is the best narrator I’ve ever heard. He’s peaceful and calm and ready very clear it doesn’t sound like a robot but a person reading Gods words to you 100 percent satisfied there if this app had that narrator then on a scale 1 to 10 this would be 11. Hands up praising our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Use it every day. I have been using this app everyday for years and love it. I’m on vacation at the moment and thought “I’ll write a review, why not, I have some time”. I love being able to manage the versions on the right. try new ones and keep two versions open side by side on my iPad. Pretty much do that everyday. The other thing I use everyday is a short list of scriptures, open and visible in the right panel. These are the ones I’m currently meditating on. Dark mode is great too. Getting up early with a cup of coffee and reading in dark mode is my morning routine I look forward to it everyday. Thanks folks for the great app and great start to my day.
Latest update ruined it for me. This app used to be MY Bible. I used it to replace my printed Bible years ago and it has been great. I was able to use it like my printed one but with much more added functionality like unlimited editable notes, create topics, ability to jump to different translations, highlight sections to stand out, and so forth. It was easy to read and I really loved it. Now when I open it I doesn’t feel like My Bible anymore, it’s just an app related to the Bible. I loved my old version and it was a tremendous tool for me that I used every single day and it worked great for me. It was My Bible and now I feel like I’ve lost it. I was really upset when I read a review that said app now requires an active internet connection. However I just discovered that this is incorrect. I
The old version still exists!. Loved this Bible app for its simplicity and functionality. Always recommended it to older people who weren’t tech savvy and had poor eyesight for the larger tech size. The update in mid October 2022 killed the simplicity but added some nice features. I was a little upset since the updated version is terrible for older people. But the original version still exists! It’s called Holy Bible King James Version, although it offers many versions. It’s by Bible Labs LLC and I would recommend it over this one for a simple Bible app that just works. It’s literally identical to the old Tecarta Bible app I can’t even tell a difference. I’ll still keep Tecarta (this one) but I’ll probably use the other one more.
This Is One Excellent Resource for Bible Study!. I absolutely enjoy this app. It seems as if the creators of this app to the time to discover what small aids could assist someone in “studying” the Bible (let alone just reading it). I like the ability to use different colored highlights, to sort the notes that I have created, the ability to sort on words and see how many times they were used (and what verses they appeared in), along with the use of asterisks to further define the usage of the words based on the original meanings of the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. (Thus far, I have found that the definitions cited in this app align with the definitions in the Strong’s Concordance!) I wish there was a way to quickly return to a previous verse in another book instead of going back to the search. (If it exists, then I haven’t discovered it yet.) Nonetheless, this does not diminish my enjoyment of using this app! (Say, I have not found a very good app for the Strong’s Concordance yet. Why not create one and use the same approach to creating this app!) 👍🏾
Daily sustenance. I love sitting every morning outdoors while the sun rises and enjoy the quietness of a new day as I read the scriptures on my phone. It is so easy to read, search and go back to messages that I enjoy. It’s a blessing to have my Bible daily reading no matter where I go. Love it! The only thing I don’t appreciate is that I cannot use all my plans on my IPad. I am reading the One Year Bible; Praying Through the Bibe in One Year and I can only do that using my phone. Obviously the screen is much smaller, and it’s just impractical. I wish something could be done for it. If we have the app I all devices, why can’t we have the same programs and or have to but the plans all over again.
Great Bible App… Easy to use. I’ve saved Tecarta on my iPad and now I haven’t brought my paper Bible to church in years. I love having all of the different versions at my finger tips, it’s great to study single verses or to go into depth on a study in the word for word translations like ESV or American Standard but then when I’m reading full chapters or books to use a thought for thought translation and get more of the context of what the author was saying. All of those versions are right at your fingertips and you don’t have to bring stacks of Bibles with you wherever you go… it has totally changed the way I study the scripture, and has increased my understanding of scripture. I would recommend it to anyone.
So Disappointed. I cannot express how disappointed I am that Tecarta completely updated and overhauled this app. The old version felt like a perfect Bible app…if there is such a thing. And I don’t want to hear that we just need to learn how great the new update is. As a pastor, I have heavily relied on this app. It has become a constant companion. I learned all the ins/outs of the format. Then to have it jerked away with no warning, is actually painful. The ipad version of the update is EXTREMELY slow and delayed. It’s unusable currently. If I could give the update negative stars, I would. It might have some new features. But this is my Bible…something very dear to me. I would ask Tecarta to please offer the original version again. Even if you charge for it, I would pay. Please do the right thing and offer your loyal customers an option to keep the original or move on to the updated version.
Excellent study materials. I love the convenience of having different translations and commentaries at my fingertips! The ease of comparing scripture with scripture and having Strong’s dictionary to research the original word meanings, is another plus in my devotions and study. October 4, 2022 I used to love this app’s ease of use, but since the “update”, I spend more time trying to move about inside the app than I do studying. I assume it will become easier to navigate as I use it. I really liked the layout of the Bible or Bibles of choice and the commentary in split screen fashion. This app doesn’t seem to operate like that. The materials are still there, but WHERE. It is still very nice for study, but be prepared. It is going to take longer to accomplish. Sad to say.
Convenience. Thank for the great application I don’t how I have this valuable service. I love the convenience right on the tips of my fingers every day new great thoughts and values to learn or refresh your mind I really enjoyed the old version was easy to find my devotional just when I opened the application I did have to look there a too much good things but my devotional is very unfriendly to many choices. I wish I could go back and find the previous msg to send to some the need that specific msg that I really think will be helpful for my dear friend. Also I’m thankful because most of the msg are short and straight to the point not too much preaching and going around of certainly topic. Thank you and God blessed!
Great Bible app with quick functionality. I have a huge investment in Bible apps and computer programs. Logos is the best for laptops and computers, if you have a computer powerful enough. But Tecarta I have been using on portable devices for over a decade. It is by far the most useful for using in church doing quick Bible verse referencing. I also know Chinese, so the ability to turn my phone sideways and access a different Bible version or language is fantastic. Logos is far too complex to use quickly. Like all Bible apps, we can always wish for different functionality or content. But Tecarta beats OliveTree and a few others I have bought and used over the past two decades. Bibles and Study Bibles are separately purchased components. Tecarta allows you to use different translations with different study notes. Commentaries are also very easy to access. At least once or twice a year, Tecarta has phenomenal sales when you can get different Bible versions and references for considerably less money than any of its competitors, so get the one you need now and add on later.
Missing Data?. If I’m not mistaken, we used to have folders and was able to go back to pull information from them. Also, I was able to research my highlighted scriptures. However, I have not figured out where the folders went or with the update was all that deleted? Never mind, I updated my rating. I went into settings and found FAQ and found what I was looking for in the journal. The update does require a little more searching in order to figure it out, but so far I’ve been able to do so. I am OK with your update. The old version was simple and easy to use, but I do appreciate you putting some thought into offering us more with the plans etc.
New update is horrible. This new UI makes study bibles unusable. You can’t full screen any of the notes it’s just in the center and doesn’t take up the whole screen. They also removed the interactive models for the NIV study bible. What a scam. If I could downgrade to the previous version I would. Please restore the functions to how they were. Tecarta used to be the best bible app for its clean UI. Now it’s just a big mess. Also 75% it just crashes on my iPad 6th gen and I can’t use the app. Or it’s very slow and lags like crazy. No other app has this problem. Horrible horrible update. This is a bible app, why do I have to be forced to update my ipad that’s worked for years. There seems to have been no testing. I bought so many bibles too and now I can’t use them. What a waste, they should refund people’s money.
Note alteration. This has been a vast improvement for me. I love to make notes and compare God’s holy word for a better understanding of the very intent of just what his inspired words truly infer. My only concern is that the note window be extended to full screen as I review my material for better clarity. Please let me know when and if you accomplish this and make sure I know just how to get it. This would be a vast improvement over the version I have. I am seventy and my eyes are not as sharp as they were. I will gladly pay for this if I must for reading this version is a wonderful tool and as I have already stated it would be a vast improvement and help to me and I am sure to everyone that has it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL Elder Morris Wicker Assistant Pastor
Solitary gratitude every morning. I downloaded this app on a whim. while pondering many things on my own and not really ever clearly grasping or finding comfort in these words as they have always represented diminishing returns for my people. But this app helps navigate much of the critical attacks on this timeless piece of work. In my own culture’s beliefs we have learned that we can be accepting and tolerant of all people and cultures because the basic human tenet of respecting life is global and there are no reasons for treating people disrespectfully. These simple truths are retold again and again in different forma and with different characters and there are passages that HELP people understand some of the things we as human beings go through from time to time. Creator is good, Creator is GREAT!
Use to be Great Bible app. I’ve been using this app for 4 to 5 years. It’s my go to when I can remember verses but not where they are from. So many apps are take the money and run but Tecarta has stayed with us, updating the app offering promotions and so on. The Lord made me a teacher and I have no teaching background (at all). I really have a hard time with reading comprehension. So this app has really helped. Love the Mathew Henry commentary. Keep up the good work. Hope y’all have a blessed day. Update: just like so many others I do not like the new Bible app. I wanted a Bible not a Bible magazine. It won’t let me sign into my account, so I guess the money I have paid in is gone because the app is gone. This app went from being something good to a money grab. I guess their houses weren’t big enough, their cars weren’t fancy enough so now they’re all about the money. The irony is the book they’re making money on tells us all about greed and what it will do to your life.
App and New Format. I am still getting use to the new format and initially I was not a huge fan, but as I use it more it is growing on me. Sometimes I think companies go overboard on options and it in turn reduce the experience because getting around can become more complex. There always seems to be something popping getting in my way when I just want to get to the scripture and read….I don’t want a “touch point, thought for the day, plan to read, or a new study bible”. However, I do like the ability to but things side by side and compare. My negatives are by far minor in comparison to the positives. Overall the app offers us many resources to deepen our study of the Word; providing access to them in a manner that is easy to organize and use. Definitely recommend.
Not Liking the Updated Interphrase. This use to be one of my favorite Bible apps because it was so easy to pick a translation, pick a book, chapter and verse and read and take notes. Now it is such a confusing mess and I am clicking on buttons to try to figure out how to get back to the thing I was doing before clicking on a wrong button. I use to recommend this app to everyone I spoke to but honestly out of good conscience I cannot because it is no longer user friendly. I find that I may go into this app maybe once a month now, and that is to simply extract notes from a verse so I can copy and paste them into a different app. I now use E-Sword, Literal Word, Blue Letter Bible and Bible Hub as my everyday apps. They are easy to use and have way more resources than Tecarta offers. I am hoping the developers see this comment. Please bring Tecarta back to a more simpler user friendly interface. God Bless!!
Excellent Bible iOS app!!. For some time, I had been using a different app from this same developer that I enjoyed using very much - It’s the ‘Study Bible’ iOS app. Apparently, I’m now to use this app instead. I followed their easy instructions to transfer my in-app purchases from the ‘Study Bible’ app into this one, but I couldn’t figure out how to use a feature I thoroughly enjoyed in the ‘Study Bible’ app: The ability to view 2 translations side by side when I hold my iPhone horizontally. Since I was puzzled, I emailed application support, who kindly sent me instructions on how to do this! This app is very nice, I really like the colorful app icon, and I look forward to exploring it and getting more familiar with it. Thank you so very much, application support! 👍
Best Bible App I’ve used!. After using several other apps, and paying quite a bit for a few; this is clearly a stand-out for me! And the new version is better. I like: > Margin Notes, which are now format-able > Variety of highlight colors > Reference verse hyper links. > Ability to print search results > Multiple Side-by-Side windows which allow for: * Multiple translations * Multiple commentary * And a journal. > The ability to compare a verse in multiple translations, in list form. Also, the staff has always be quite helpful and responsive. Truly, this app has improved my daily reading and study of the Bible.
Worse than it was years ago, and now with built-in spam. This used to be a simple, powerful app, and the Word of God and selected commentary or other resources were essentially it. These latest versions have gotten more and more muddled, as convention developers presumably seek to maximize individual users’ screen time, adding churchianity features and functions that not every user wants. In addition, the most recent versions of the app actually include random study resources commingled with the selected bible version. These study resources are being sold in a commercial function, included for a limited time, etc. For one thing, those random interpretive choices mingled with scripture can be from any angle, theologically (which are likely to contradict one another in various doctrines and interpretations, so they can’t all be correct), and yet there they are woven into the view of scriptures in the same window. In addition, there are low and high views of the Christian Sabbath, a day on which this app will be extensively used, and for those that wouldn’t go to the store on the Lord’s Day, having products hocked at them on the Christian sabbath this is not OK.
Excellent Tool for Studying God’s Word. This is my favorite Bible application. I have used it for several years. The notes allow me to capture important points from sermons and insert scriptures as quickly as they are referenced. I can prepare slideshows for our ladies’ Bible study easily between Tecarta and a presentation app. The search features are quick, thorough, and help me cross reference on topics and locate passages. My husband and I enjoy the adjustable font size. I would like to see future features to allow copying verses from the search drop down menu and it would be nice to be able to highlight, underline, or bold in the notes.
Life-changing!. After over a year of using the Tecarta Bible app, I’m happy to report that it meets expectations. It makes reading the Bible convenient and easy, so I’ve done it practically every day since getting this app. And reading the Bible every day is guaranteed to be life-changing! The app keeps up with your notes and highlights, even across multiple updates. It’s convenient to toggle between different translations of the Bible. It’s easy to purchase uplifting daily devotionals and view them. One of my favorite features is the free Verse of the Day. Now instead of waking up to the constant negativity of the news cycle, my phone starts me off with a Bible verse in the morning. Like I said: life-changing!
The Bible in your hand. We are a thoroughly blessed and spoiled generation. We have the inspired, God breathed, Word on our phones in every translation or interpretation, you can think of and it is right there in your pocket. I highly recommend the app. The versions are inexpensive, the notes you make sync to all your devices, and as someone with a Masters from one of the best linguistic schools in the world, Dallas Theological Seminary, it is so insightful to be able to look at the different translations and interpretations for inspiration. If you have never read the entire Bible, get one of the daily devotionals and set the reminder for the first part of your day. Walk through God’s word and design for your life. Be blessed! Jesus died in your place, rose from the grave, and sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding on your behalf! Praise God!
Fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. This App is more important than the I phone b/c it helps replicate God’s words in such a portable electronic media that has became as indispensable as tools for transportation & even more. In all four corners of the Earth with internet connection we now have the Holy Scripture in our hearts, in our books(greatest best seller in the world) & now in electronic digital-prints & yes without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit seen of the Angels preached unto the gentiles believed in the world and received up to Glory in heaven...excerpts from Timothy. God bless the inventor of this App No mankind will pretend he never heard of our Master Shepherd & Bishop of our souls, STAR of David & our savior Lord Jesus Christ.
Brings your closer to God.. This app is exactly what I was looking for to help me seek God, strengthen my faith, and understand His word better. There are in-app purchases like the ‘life Bible study application’ which I HIGHLY recommend if you need explanations on scripture Caus Lawd knows I don’t understand most of it. There’s also an audio option to read the Bible to you that has a submersive style to it. They have free 5-7 day plans that help you navigate areas your life like a ‘sleepless nights’ plan and a ‘how does God speak to me’ plan that takes scripture to point out what God says about those topics. On top of that, if you opt for the life Bible study application commentary, it explains scripture and how it applies to you. I’m really happy I found this app and definitely recommend it.
Bad Search Update.. I used to love using this app to look up Bible verses when I knew a couple of words that were in the verse. Now if I type in a couple of words so that I can quickly find the scripture, it shows me every single verse that uses either one of the words, I instead of only showing me scriptures that have BOTH words in the scripture. This makes it impossible to scroll through my over a hundred verses to find the one you are looking for and has rendered the search function almost useless. Please restore this to only showing the verses that have all of the keywords you enter in them.
Better than the Tyndale New Life App. I got the Tyndale New Life App about six years ago. I was very happy with it at first. Then they started updating it. Each update was a radical change that became more difficult to use, and removed features—most recently, the ability to highlight words or phrases, which was just idiotic. Navigation was ever more difficult and the overall experience ended up being an ordeal. Then I suddenly got a message that the New Life App has been retired and that I could transfer my purchases here. Wonderful. I’m liking this Tecarta App much better! Good riddance, New Life App!
Excellent Bible app!. Excellent Bible app! I’ve been using it for years, and am familiar with the old version and the major redesign. The new design has lots of great features and a more modern user interface design…which I like! The features that I mainly use are: reading the Bible (in various translations), highlighting, and taking notes in the journal. There are lots of other features like study bibles, reading plans, automatic scrolling, audio, touch points where you can find verses on specific topics and plenty of tools such as search, many highlighter colors, list of previously-accessed verses, etc. Two of my favorite quick-access buttons that I use often while reading the Bible are: 1) the Compare button to quickly view a selected verse(s) in multiple versions of the Bible, and 2) the Save button to quickly save a selected verse(s) to a specific journal folder. Also, their support team, which you can contact directly through the app, has been super responsive to my questions and comments.
The Best Bible app out there by far!. Such a great product to have in these trying and uncertain times. Whether you want to just browse the Word for a thought that helps your day, or you want to knuckle down and get serious with your knowledge of God’s way; this is the app. It has many versions of the Word to read, or do a side by side comparison, plus so many extras within it that increases your ability to understand the Word. I’ve used this further back than I can remember, to just read the beauty of God’s Word, and have used it for reference to write Devotionals. New or experienced believers should download this and make it a sidekick of your life; you won’t be disappointed!
Was Not A Fan At First. I have to admit that I was not a fan of the new version. I was not aware that it changed and when I went to use it while in Sunday service, I was lost! I couldn’t find any of my Bible translations or my notes from almost 10 years ago. I sent feedback and Cory got back with me right away. He explained how the new app works and step by step how to find everything that I thought I lost. He even downloaded my different translations for me and now I’m so happy. Cory was patient with me because I was emailing him every week! He was so willing to help me get through my frustrations and struggles. Thank you Cory!! It’s because of you Cory, that this app gets 5 stars! 🌟
Best and most reliable bible App ever. This app rocks! It is stable, reliable, and well designed. It’s a pleasure to use and the best I’ve found after trying many. The highlight and note taking features are fantastic and leaps ahead of others...the “tabs” that select the text and easily lead to options of management (highlight, share, etc) are genius! Of course the translation and resource options are superb but what really matters is the functionality that is so much better than other apps I’ve tried and discarded. The sync’ing is easy and reliable. The interface is a delight and visually it is easily to tailor to preference. Could not be better!!! Thank you !!!
AMAZING FOR LEARNING/UNDERSTANDING GODS WORDS. I have always struggled looking for a good bible app to where it can explain verses and messages conveyed in scripture. I’m a college student, this app has helped me grow closer to god and depths my understanding of verses and what they really mean in a way that I can understand and grasp. I highly recommend this app!!! The app offers so much wonderful features for free, also free trials for each aspect, and you can choose if you would like to buy a certain bible book or studies. Yet, so far the free version has been very extensive and helpful! It is a great app if your looking for a deeper understanding and growth! I love it!
No Longer Opens / Works. I have used and enjoyed this app for a number of months now. It has certain features other Bible apps do not have. About a week ago it looked like it got an update, as the app icon color changed from blue to blue and green, and there was a different screen when it was opened. Sadly, this opening screen was locked. You can’t scroll to the right to see new features as was available nor did either of the buttons onscreen work. I was anxious to see the new features but sadly have not been able to go any further.
New version is disappointing. I loved the look of the old version. It was like holding a paper Bible in my hands. I have literally YEARS of notes and folders that I’m about to ditch. I feel like I lost my old Bible. 😢 I guess I’m going back to pen and paper because no one can “upgrade” it on me. The new version is too difficult to navigate. I found it impossible to take notes in church because it takes too long to switch from my journal back to the Bible or copy scriptures over to my notes. Additionally, I cannot sort my notes by date. The date is there but not easy to find on the right side. The folders are difficult to find. I suppose I can get used to it eventually, but so far, I’m just frustrated. I know I can figure it out, but it’s not worth my time. No thanks. 😩 Additionally, I have purchased several versions of the Bible and commentaries that are now absolutely worthless. Can this be fixed?
Great app but ads are not ok. I have bought multiple Bible versions and commentaries through this app. I love the Bibles and commentaries and the app is easy to navigate. Its my favorite Bible app and I use it daily. My only complaint is the newest version of this app added ads to the home page. I realize the developers need funds to keep making updates. And you can pay to have the ads removed for a year, or buy a Bible or commentary and the ads will go away for awhile. But I’ve already spent probably close to $100 on different Bibles and commentaries. I know that .99 isn’t huge to remove the ads. But it’s the principle of it. I’ve spent a lot of money on this app already. I shouldn’t have to keep spending to remove the annoying ads. It just feels low class to me.
I love it but I have request for improvement. This is a great Bible app!! It stays true to the 66 books in the Bible and I enjoy it very much. The only thing when I am listening to it on audio it will not go automatically to the next chapter so I have to open up my phone and get it going again. I trying to stay off my phone more. So it would be wonderful it automatically play the next chapter. Also it would be amazing too but not required if it had more different accents to choose from in the audio and also languages :D but that one is just a thought.
Great Bible app, my new favorite!. I've used and loved Glo-Bible for many years, but several years ago the company was sold and the new company pretty much dismantled and destroyed all of its lovely features so that it is now just a bare bones bible app. I've been looking for something new for a while and this app fits most of that bill. It has great comprehensive notes, that are easily referenced, but not in the way. The only thing I miss now are the wonderful pictures, maps and virtual tours of my old app, but Tecarta has sure made my daily bible reading more enjoyable now. Just finished the book of Daniel this week, which I did a bible study on years ago. Rather than digging out my old study guide, I was able to reference verse by verse of some of the prophesies that I couldn't fully remember, just by touching a word or verse. So glad to find Tecarta!
Great App, best I have used for the Bible. I love this app. I have no less than 7 bible translations in my content, strolls concordance (in my KJV translation) and family devotional. They have some good commentaries and study bibles as well. The only suggestions I can think of is that maybe they somehow get the original Beacons commentary on it and the Bible Knowledge was commentary (just two volumes) that may be a copyright or permission issue, but it would be awesome. The App makes it easy to find scriptures I remember but cannot remember their location. A very nice resource. Many Church attendees Use their phones for Bible translations now. This is something I believe is here to stay. This is the beat one I have tried.
Latest update is awful. I've always been happy with this app, but wow, this latest update is terrible. What I liked about the Tecarta app was the simple, clean interface, with the ability to adjust settings as needed. This new interface is cluttered. I can't even read a chapter without little orange promotions showing up in the middle of the chapter. It seems like the focus has turned to making money, at the cost of the user's experience. Kind of sad and ironic for a Bible app. I can live with promotions on the home page, but it's really ridiculous that you can't read a chapter of the Bible uninterrupted.
The Best Out There. I’ve used Tecarta for over 5 years and it’s been a constant companion and resource for my daily bible use. I appreciate the new changes that have modernized the app and allow for increased revenue for developers. At the same time: (a) the app is now very “busy” looking (2) I have created extensive notes and outlines in the “Journal” and folders section. These are now more difficult and less intuitive to access. (3) I wish that the “Journal” section was on the bottom bar where five other icons are now placed. Is it possible to add this to the bottom bar? (4) If not, is it possible to customize the bottom bar in settings so that I could change the “touch points” icon to “journal”?
Fantastic!. Im a package delivery driver and having a Bible on road is difficult. I use this app and purchased the ESV study Bible thru it. I love it. I’m able to sit in my truck during a ten minute break and at the click of a button when reading the Bible, I can see the commentary provided by the esv study Bible. I can click and use the cross reference and view map with a click of my finger. I can tap the highlighter and start to build a library of verses. I can add notes and questions to verses. Then I get home and can do all of this on my laptop. Excellent. I’ve always enjoyed flipping the pages thru my Bible. The feel of thin page... but now with this app, I can still read my Bible if I’m at the dmv, the grocery store line, or on a 15 minute break in a truck.
Great Bible App. I have been using this Bible app for years and it has been everything I need. You can have access to multiple versions, and download them to read offline (which is a must have for me). There are study Bibles as well. Another great feature is the ability to highlight text and write notes, which comes in handy when you want to remember key texts and points during a sermon. It has replaced my physical Bible (which is worn and filled with highlights and notes). The only bad thing I can say about it is that navigating the features is unintuitive and every major update makes doing things like switching to a different Bible version less intuitive. But once you figure it out it works like a dream.
If I could it would get No Stars!. When I first bought this Bible app it was great, I enjoyed it very much but then the latest update changed everything! Before I was able to highlight a particular scripture and it would give me an in-depth meaning or understanding of what the scripture is talking about but now you have to pay for that where as before it was free. I can’t keep paying for things that should be free. It’s like a Max Lucado Bible you pick a particular scripture and when it’s highlight it gives you a clearer understanding of what you just read for free but now this update eliminated that. I am going to see if I can get a refund, with so many Bibles out there I think I’m just going to stick with the Student NKJV Filled Bible I have at home at least when I read a scripture the highlight is free I don’t have to keep paying extra for someone to explain that Scripture when I don’t understand! What a rip off!!!
The Most user Friendly Bible ever!. This is the best Bible app this side of Heaven. I have ten different Bible apps and this one is the best by a large margin. It first of all provide a great platform for just reading the books. The search is on point and easy to use. The ability to add notes and the notes are linked to the ascribed scriptures. This feature alone would make this Bible worth it’s weight in gold. Instant reference to those notes. I am a student of the written word. This Bible makes my study both fun and rewarding. It never leaves my side and I use it every single day. I am grateful for all the people that took part in developing and maintaining this incredible piece of technology 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️
Has what I need, is fairly easy to use. I really like this app. Even with the new changes, I find it fairly easy to get to the versions that I have. Beside my personal reading and the quick reference to another version while in a meeting, I use three main study Bibles. I copy out the notes to which I need to refer as I lead a group of women in a Bible study. Easy The new font I chose has made it faster to read. What what I miss in the new edition is you can no longer copy out one of the easy to read maps for reference and to show for easy visualization of the journeys.
My opinion. Today there is so much you can get online concerning the Bible and trust me I have a lot of them I was born again in 1981 at the age of 29 years old. God led me to the King James version Bible. I did not know one verse of the Bible when I was born again, but GOD gave me the gift to understand by his Holy Spirit his love letter to me. Anyway, your app is probably one of my favorite of a probably about 30 I have on my phone. So thanks to everyone who has worked hard so to get God’s word to the world and I will pray that he will bless your ministry and all those involved keep up the good work as we look forward to the coming up of our LORD Jesus Christ. Thank you so much 🙏🏻✝️☮️🇱🇷
Love the Update BUT…. I have personally loved the update immensely! It is so much easier to use so much more functional and much more of a tool in my study and notetaking. But my one complaint is that in the notetaking portion on iPad there is a glitch. Whenever I’m taking notes the bottom bar that gives you the options within the notes.(Bullet point, bold, italicized, underline Etc.) whenever I’m using it it will freeze and I will not be able to click or select the items. This happens when I am using my keyboard with the iPad and sometimes without. Again this update is amazing but the freezing is causing me some issues hope you guys fix it soon appreciate you!
Missing Purchases. Just found out today that I only have 4 of my 28 Bible purchases available to me because apparently they all had expiration dates of July 31,2022. Had I known this was the case I would have looked elsewhere for a better company who honors your purchases with no expiration dates. I have no intentions of buying them again from a company who doesn’t disclose they have expiration dates! UPDATE: Today I had all my 26 purchases restored including all the saved favorites and notes I thought were lost. The purchases were listed as expired by mistake which is why they weren’t found in the “Purchased” tab. I’m revising my rating from one star to five and want to thank the Tecarta associate who made it possible.
