Piece Of S.... App - current ver. This used to be a clean simple easy to use App years ago. But the past few versions have gotten over inflated with garbage features. And after the past 2-3 updates a damned RATING REQUEST constantly pops up every single time I launch the App. So now after a few weeks of dismissing the message here I am logging in to rate this App and giving it a low mark intentionally due to the annoyances now being baked into what was once a useful especially App. Hopefully this will stop the irritating pop up message.

Great app but too greedy for feedback. I love everything about this app EXCEPT the constant rating requests. Once should be enough ‼️

Drain. One previous version didn't even load news, just crashed. Current version works pretty well, but if you leave it running in the back it drains battery. In a cycle it was responsible for 70% of the battery usage which shouldn't be possible. I'm guessing due to bad implementation of add banners? Great little app if these issues could be cleaned up, despite the scammy add banners.

Good, simple reader. I'm glad this app was finally updated. Nothing fancy. Just lets me read what I want.

Excellent RSS reader. Very minimalistic and doesn't require you to make an account, just what I was looking for. A fantastic feed reader app.

Good, basic RSS reader. This RSS reader does what it's supposed to do. It's straightforward, easy to use, and works without fail. Recommended.

Solid RSS app. No frills and it always loads. Maybe some further settings for customising the format. Otherwise it's a very reliable app.

Exactly what you want from an RSS reader. You put in your links, you get a feed. You read it. No ads, nice search tool to find RSS links, it's as good as RSS readers get.

Serves it’s purpose … but no option for notifications?. How is it that an app doesn’t give the options for notifications?

Exactly what I needed. The basic functionality you need to subscribe to the content you want, without a bunch of unnecessary features.

Best RSS. East to add/delete feeds. The only thing I would like to see improved is saving the font size. But it perpetually nags me to write another review. Another nag for another review and I succumbed to the nag, but alas my choice is limited to "Edit" previous Review. So I guess I will do that also in the future. I wonder how long the review will grow. EO edit 1.

RSS Reader. I use the app everyday on the iPhone. I didn’t have an iPhone for about 2 years and this was the app I missed the most. I haven’t found anything that compares. It is straightforward and simple to use which is what I look for. There is no special login or account required to use, and it is light weight. Hats off to the developer and anyone that had a hand in this. It just keeps getting better. Thank you!

Minimalist / outstanding. Edit: I paid to remove the ads, but they continue to show up. Please fix. — Delivers content in a simple manner, and also has a good UI/UX.

Love the app. I use this app every single day multiple times a day. It’s great. The only thing I can see that could be added is a way to “unread” something. Sometimes I accidentally click something that I might want to read later, but don’t have time for now, and there is no way for me to set this as unread, which are the ones I look through when I go back into the app.

Review reminder nuisance. This reader is alright. It does what I need it to do, and I paid 99 cents to remove advertisements. However, I’m annoyed by the constant pop-up dialog insisting I review the app which appears even after I provided a review. So here’s your updated review, reduced to one star because I sincerely dislike your pestering.

What a relief!. After seeing the news agencies and wire services update their apps to become bulky graphic oriented monsters, what a relief to find an app that just gives you news feeds. And for a buck you can get rid of the ads! Keep It simple stupid is how I like it.

Good but lost a few things.. This is a good solid app that does what it states it will. Little problems, just miss the functionality of the old version. Such as the auto update when opened, notification of unread articles and of course the one button for "read all" on the button with in thumbs reach. A good example of an app that was perfect and got "upgraded" And it keeps asking to rate the app.

Just got the app and it already doesn’t work :(. You can’t delete a feed; I didn’t get any feedback when trying to add my first one, and hit the Check Mark three times, which added the feed three times. I tried to delete it, but every time I hit the remove button, it just simply asks if I want to rename the feed ): Right off the bat the app is unusable

Good simple app. Good app, does what it says with no fluff. I use it to keep up with my webcomics. Only complaint are the constant reading requests, otherwise I’d have given it five stars.

I use it a lot. This has been quite handy for me. Even though I like it, the rating requests are too frequent. And I’ve already done one review plus an update.

Cannot delete items.. Clicking the wrench icon brings up delete and sort buttons on each row, except the delete button doesn’t work!

Great Way to Break a Habit. I used to constantly refresh the Reddit front page in my free time. This app let me add a few interesting sub-Reddits as RSS feeds, along with reliable news sources, and now I spend much less time mindlessly browsing.

Love it's tiny footprint. I love how little space the app takes up, its privacy and simplicity. It's the only way I can get local news. I'd only add two things in exactly this order: a dark view mode, and a widget. Besides that I simply love this app! It's effective, bugless and doesn't glitch.

Does everything I need. Straight forward design. Just lists the articles without images so it is easy to see the whole list without having to scroll all the time. Doesn’t require an account on a web site where they track what you read and then sell that info to advertisers.

Annoying lock ups. This app would be great if I didn't have to close it out and restart it every time I use it. It locks in the loading mode and has to be restarted every time. It also gives you a pop up every time it opens asking for a review, which is annoying and only makes me want to give a bad review for how they are begging for reviews.

Nice little RSS aggregator. I compared a few apps for pulling down a few feeds and found this one worked the best for me. Operation is straight-forward. I would like to see a few more options, like a setting for retention time of the items in a feed. Otherwise, a nice little feed reader!

4 stars could be 5. Works really well but I would like notifications. So 4 out of 5.

Add notifications. Is it possible to get notifications when a newsroom you follow posts an update ? That’s the only thing that would make this better for me. That’s a feature I was really, really hoping for, but I didn’t see any option for notifications 🙁

Bugs. Just downloaded and it seems to be clean and functional but, when trying to delete RSS feeds that got doubled up, I could only rename not remove. If that was fixed it would be a lot better

Good but not what I needed. The app is decent, premium costs 99 cents which is more than reasonable, I just reviewed another app which thought I should pay $5 a month for an rss reader lol. This app would be perfect for someone looking for news and articles however I knocked a star off because of no notifications. I need an RSS reader which will shoot me notifications when new content is added as I’m mainly using this for the pi locator website and wanna know when they are in stock.

RSS Reader. Is reliable in retrieving feeds, however, I wish it would *permanently* delete ALL articles Read, as well as those selected for Deletion. As of now, it tells me my feed will repopulate with the very articles marked for deletion! Delete what’s selected please.

Nice and simple. Nice simple way for me to follow web comics. Make sure to rate and review right away or else it will ask you every other time you open the app.

in-app purchase doesn’t work. I really like the simple interface and that you are not required to have any subscription accounts, so I decided to buy the no-ad in-app purchase. The purchase went through, and guess what? I still have in-app adds! Clicking on the restore previous purchase in the app does no good. I just wasted a dollar on nothing!

Works well!. I had to use this when the app I was using was terminated, works very well, I use it daily. The only thing is the review! Too often.

Needs better UX. Doesn’t support iPhone X-sequel screen format. No auto refresh upon opening app. Should have option to open to a home list instead of the list selector. Could be better with more polish.

News & Info You Want When You Want It....Nice!. Befor I downloaded "Free RSS" I never realy knew what RSS Feeds where and I had never used them through a normal Internet. Now I use "Free RSS" on my iPOD Touch to share and read the latest info from my favorite web sites and News from around the World which my parents & Grandparents can use at any time, and the best thing is that you can read stuff without having to stay conected to a wireless network....the content is saved with-in the application itself.

Great rss reader. This rss reader does all the things an rss reader should do. I use it multiple times a day. It does have small adverts at the bottom of the menu screen but since the app is free this is not a big issue.

Amazing little app. I wanted something that was very minimal and quick. Found it in this app. Could use a few tweaks such as viewing items in landscape mode and the ability to swipe left or right to view the next/previous item. Was able to contact the developer to get the features added. Super impressed.

The most tasteless advertising imaginable is shoved in your face. It puts the most ugly awful tasteless distracting advertisements in your life. Everything you try to avoid on the internet is shoved into your consciousness. If they do that to you then how little do they care for you really? Give them your money? No. Don’t do it.

Fantastic. I use this every day, it does everything I require and is free. Thankyou so much to the developer. Latest update makes it look nicer too (not that other look was poor, new just looks better). Regular updates since I started to use. Do not hesitate to download.

No fancy stuff, just RSS. Of all the RSS readers I've tried, this is the only one that could give me straightforward, no fuss RSS feeds. It works perfectly and is all you need. If you need cloud solutions, and all kinds of functions other that just RSS feeds, look elsewhere.

Nice and simple but a little lacking. In a RSS feed reader this was exactly what I was looking for but it is still a little light on in features right now - would like to see notifications enabled, the dev said to me that this is coming, but not there at the moment

Apple-inspired Resurrection. Wow after 5 years, suddenly my icon changes colour and my daily RSS reader is resurrected from iOS 3 days with no multitasking to suddenly fully supporting iPhone 6 and iOS 8. After version 1.1, all my concerns are gone. Nice work. I do miss the old green icon that reminded me of my first iPhone. ;) A Today Widget addition would be great.

Excellent app. Works very easily and simple to view. A simple improvement would be an option for the app to download updates automatically, without opening it up. Great to see if you have new news before you go looking inside the app.

examplary. This is how apps should be - simple and to the point. It used to be a bit unstable with crashes due to poorly formatted third-party feeds, but it's much better now and rarely crashes for me. Great features and well executed. The only feature I would love is to be able to mark a story as un-read after it was read.

iOS 4?. iOS 4 has been out for ages now where is the multitasking update?

Best RSS app. Please make a version for the iPad. I would definitely pay for.

Simple and effective. A good clean design which has improved with each release and a straightforward interface without useless features makes this the perfect RSS reader. Occasional bugs have been mostly eliminated now and I've felt no need to try out the paid alternatives.

Reduced usability compared to previous version. I used to be able to read the full content of all posts within the app. Now it tends to load a "teaser" and make me click through to read the rest of the article. The app insists on updating its list of posts every time it is opened. This causes annoying delays that are not needed when opening within a few minutes of last time you looked. App is unstable. About 1/3 of the time, it opens to a splash screen, stays there for a minute or so, then crashes. This used to be a five star app but the latest version is broken.

Wonderful, Simple, Reliable. This is without a doubt the best free RSS reader available on the app store. I don't know where I would be without it. It's so handy, and the design is wonderful, using every pixel efficiently. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

My Preferred RSS.... Free RSS Reader is terrific. I've tried other free rss readers and this is the best so far. It's great that feeds from the web can be located and added through the app itself, and yes feed titles can be renamed and landscape mode can be turned off via the settings app. There are only 2 reasons I've not scored this app 5 stars. Firstly, I would like to see some recognition onscreen when touching selections (eg: change of button color) and secondly, I would prefer resume where left off after restarting the app. Thanks and well done, Simon.

Needs dates and times on feeds. Crashes occassionally but 95% of the time is stable. Needs to display the dates and times for each RSS feed!!

Best ample RSS reader iOS.. Not giving 5 star because it does not have a simple way to delete article or mark it as read. You will have to open and then close it.

Like the app, hate the pop-up asking for review. I have been using this app for years. I have been very happy with it and, mostly, still am. Two hours ago I finally gave in to the annoying pop-up that asks for a rating: gave four stars. Now, two hours later, I come back to the app and get the pop up again so one less star. Honestly, the app is great but I hope he fixes the stoopid pop up soon. --- 3 hours later: back again, asked again, one less star again. --- Week later. Still like the app, still hate the pop up. One less star. Not sure what happens next time. --- Another week, another request for a review. Insists if I say no, so here I am again.

One thing I love to see added to this application is the ability to categorize your feeds into groups (i.e.: feed 1 & feed 2 in NEWS group / feed 3, 4, 5 in TRAVEL DEALS / and so on....)

Links not working. Would get 5* but the links in browser mode on external sites are not working. Have to open them in Safari. Annoying rate request every time i use this app.

Basic. Need improvement

Needs a quick way to mark an article as read. Also, would like to advance to next article with a swipe left gesture, instead of up/down arrows. Otherwise this would be a 5 star app. Keeps asking me to rate it even after I have rated it. Dropping to a 3 this time. Also it sometimes loses track of my position in the feed.

Simple, does what it says.. I like bare bones RSS readers with out all the garbage. Been using this for a while now. Haven’t found anything better.

Barebones but useful. Does what it should; could use features like marking things as unread, or catching RSS urls automatically in Safari, but ultimately it gets the job done reliably.

Great service but.... Maybe adding an option to select which articles you want to remove from the feeds so you don’t have articles that still remain in the list would be great. Like they do for google mail when you just want to select certain emails to delete or Mark as read instead of having to open each article to remove the unread option.

More and more review requests. So here's my review. Less buggy than it once was, but still some odd issues. Like this review process. Kinda broken.

Notification. I don’t get any notifications. Can you add the feature in the next update ?

Good app, but.... ... I don't like the fact that I have to refresh the feeds manually. It can't be too hard to refresh them automatically when you open or switch to the app. Also a setting to use a different browser than Safari would be highly appreciated.

Simple and clean. A beautiful and simple app for those who want to be able to keep track of RSS feeds. I love the way it preserves the formatting of the web article thus preserving the full tone and tenor of the article. While others have commented on the lack of advanced features for me the lack of ads, makes it a 5 star app.

App opens but crashes anytime try to do anything g in the app. On iPad most up to date versions and still crashes when try to use. No error messages. On iPad pro 12.9”

Good Basic RSS Reader. The only drawback is the constant asking for ratings. That is why I rated this app a star. 23 times... my count Make that 24 25, 26, 27, 28, 29,30!

Good app. This is why RSS is so good.

Buggy. Buggy and often unresponsive. Looks that the developers tried to do something cute with a drifting title banner and it gets slow and unresponsive until it is done drifting.
