Change of Terms. I paid full price for the pro version of this and it was very useful. I am however frustrated that since you changed to a subscription based app that you want me to now pay full price once again for this app even though I have already paid 3.99. Very disappointed.

No weather reports. Updated last night and now I can’t load any airports. Search function, map function, nothing.

My go to before every flight. Have been using for years and love it. Simple easy to use, with only one click to get all the data for your local or destination airport. IWatch version is great for a quick glance as well.

Underestimated how much I like this. Great app even in the free version. Very much underestimated how much I would use this over something like foreflight. Would love to see the 24hr history added as a tab in each airport

Used to be Good. Like others have already mentioned, this used to be my go to app for METARS. Had the Pro version without any subscriptions and now with this latest update, the Pro app was taken away with an expectation to re-purchase a subscription to enable features like “dark mode.” The developer says they need to cover recurring costs. Dark mode integration and bug fixes are considered “recurring costs” now? I think not. The features section conflicts between the App Store and what’s listed in app, so you can’t tell with 100% certainty what you’ll get if you shell out the cash. It seems like the focus these days is on subscription gain versus a coherent package and solid product. The app has always been buggy with multiple crashes, antiqued data at times, and features that wouldn’t work. As a certificated private pilot, I don’t trust this app for any serious flight planning; only for the anecdotal “quick look” at data. The developer should seriously reconsider how they have this app structured and realign their priorities. Disappointed to see where this app has gone.

Working good!. I like this product. I have a list of fields I typically go to and I can check quickly what is happening and what is trending, as well as what is forecast. Great product!

It’s on a fine line.. This app was nearly perfect. They added a few features like the widget and a nearby tab. Both are cool, but I don’t want the widget and I’m stuck with the tab. Unfortunately they have made the app a bit bloated, it doesn’t run as good as it used to. The tabs at the top are not removable. That combined with the inevitable add banner, makes the airport list only three or so depending on how you read your weather. It’s still super useable, but it’s on thin ice if they go more glitz and less user adjustably on the next one it’s gone. The aviation community wants stuff that works not stuff that’s pretty.

App works great. Works as you'd expect. Metars and TAFs quickly. An improvement I'd like to see is for the dark mode to apply everywhere. I wake up in the early morning and the background is bright white. It would be nice to have the whole app in dark mode.

It's ok... It works good as long as you have a wifi connection. That is not always available so that's why I give 3 stars. Please fix this so I can update weather with LTE.

Great app and quick to use.. I am a CFI, and I use this app all the time. Yes, you can get weather in other apps such as Foreflight and Garmin Pilot, but this app is great because it is fast and simple.

It’s gotten bad.. A simple, useful weather app has now turned into a bloated nuisance with the pointless map feature. Nobody cares about the picture you took at the airport. It provides no useful information. The developer should get rid of this function and return the app to its fast former self.

Crashes. After last update, kicks out immediately. How to remove from iCloud & completely reload?

Customer service no longer there. This is one of my “go to” weather apps but I’ve been having some technical issues and several messages to the developer have gone unanswered, including one more than a month ago. Doesn’t bode well for the future of this or their other apps!

Not so bad functionality. Just extremely confusing upgrades and poorly managed updates.

ADS-B. I’m a professional pilot in Alaska. I use this App every day. It’s a great app. Do you have any plans to make it compatible with ADS-B receivers? That’s the only improvement I can think of. I’ll pay for the upgrade when it comes out.

Very useful tool. I’m an airline pilot and I use this app all the time. Perfect for an overview of the weather at your saved stations, and lots of detail available if you drill down at a particular airport. Better and more readable than company provided apps

Latest update ruined 3D Touch. Using 3D Touch now causes the app to crash every single time. Otherwise I really enjoy this app in its free form

Runway info is missed. In the older version runway info and wind info were present but now Its not possible

Fails to update. The app routinely shows data as expired. I guess that’s what you get with “free.” Sue not inclined to pay for the app if the won’t make the free version functional.

Breaks every time release a useless update. Fantastic app for widget. Unfortunately keep releasing useless updates to it that break it every time…

Great. Look quickly at the local stations and those that have special significance.

Disappointing update. Latest update has slowed considerably. Very frustrating to use now. Would use several times a day, now dread opening. Hope developer can fix!

Change wind direction symbol.. The red triangle depicting the wind direction is opposite from what pilots traditionally have seen : the narrow pointy end should face the direction from which the wind is blowing , ie pointy end down if the wind is from 180 degrees. This convention does back to the days when airports had a large, rotatable triangle that was in the middle of the airport and pointed into the wind. Pilots flying into fields with no tower could see the direction in which to land. Other weather apps correctly use the wind icon.

The new D-ATIS support rocks!. I operate out of a Class B airport that has often has almost endless warnings about obstacles and “enhanced” bird activities. It sometimes takes 2 minutes to hear the entire recording, and if you get a call or miss part of it, back to square one. This new feature makes this app invaluable; I can read the D-ATIS and skip the “drunken Swede” digital transcription, which is very important when rapidly approaching the Class B boundary. The small extra cost for this feature is very reasonable.

Ruined!!. This used to be my go to app for quick weather checks. I did the most recent update and it now it does nothing. I get a blank screen that says edit at the top left. You press it and nothing happens. It worked fine before the update. Unbelievable!

Home Screen Widgets have been locked!. The widget feature is now behind a pay wall. Very disappointed. I understand the need to generate revenue but I think to take a feature away after I’ve been using is (and already purchased several other features) is poor practice

Take away features. Apple adds the widget function and they add it to this version of the apps you can see what the weather is. But then change it and make it so you have to pay for it.

It’s fine on the line. You know you want it.

Av Wx User. Amazing how developers can call revisions that reduce the ratings by multiple stars an improvement. Every time I update this App I regret making the update.

Great App!!. This is a great too to get a quick and reliable weather update! Keep up the good work.

LATEST RELEASE SCREWS UP. Everything worked well and then another release came up. Naturally another developer that doesn’t test before they release and now the data is extremely slow to load. I can go check the METAR at A FAA government website by the time the data populates that’s how slow it is.

Good app. But they locked a paid feature back for more money. I don’t know how is this possible. Purchased Widget functionality before and it gets me meteogram table on my widget. But now they just decided to lock it back so I have to pay more money to get what I paid to unlock?

Black text needed. I use this app a lot but ever since a few updates ago the METAR text on the kian airports list page is grey and hard to read in daylight. Change it back to black.

Crashing. Been using this for years. Won't upgrade as none of the additional features are useful outside of the USA. Love the flags as my stations are organised by country. But like many apps, it’s trying to do too much and now starts the subscription model. As a Widebody senior training captain who uses this constantly, I’d bet I’m not the only one here who just wants a clean and simple weather app like this used to be. Don’t ruin it. Leave the lite app alone and add the bells and whistles to the paid app.

Metar/TAF widget often not loaded. Great app but the metar/TAF widget on iPhone’s opening screen is often not loading.

They upgraded widget and app with wind gusts just for me. They upgraded the meteogram widget and app with wind gust numbers and graph just for me… I live in the woods in Northwest Washington USA with tree issues when the wind blows… They’re helping to keep me safe with this feature. I’ve noticed consistent app maintenance about every 3 months it seems… It’s nice to see a maintained app that loads consistently in my poor reception topography. Every time I’ve emailed comments… I’ve received replies within one to two days… I think that’s very impressive☃️

HAA PILOT USER. Love the App! I set up alerts so most of the time I know the weather is changing before seeing it on a desktop or if I’m busy doing other things. Also great when your in the field to know if your next destination or surrounding area is seeing big changes. Easy to use, easy to read... Great App!

Great App For Getting METAR, TAF, Etc. I’ve used this app for years, first as a ramp control Manager and ATC liaison for a major carrier at our largest hub, and now retiree who likes to travel and be prepared. Easy to search and read the weather products and support is good although I rarely have to use it. Highly recommend.

Getting worse. App was great now it’s getting to be a bit much. Really miss the copy metar function for crosswind calculation.

Dark mode is terrible. Certain stations stilll show up bright, not dimmed. Not sure what the reasoning is. Hopefully fixed in a future update.

Terrible customer service. Widget doesn’t work. The app gets the job done with some good weather information. However, purchasing it is completely useless. The widget will just default to. Kjfk. and you cannot change it. I don’t live anywhere near there so it’s pointless to me. I have attempted to contact customer service to see if I can fix this and they never respond. I would just keep the free version.

Using for years.. Been using this app for about 4 years. Never had issues with it. Recently purchased the widget for my iPhone which has been great for quick checks.

What Happened??. I have used this App for years as a Professional Airline Pilot to obtain weather quickly from my phone. Now all of the sudden it doesn’t work? What gives… Not cool.

The best. I’ve been using this app for several years. Best smartphone app on the market for checking METARs. Helps with trending information too. Great user experience!

EXPIRED. All WX stations showing as expired with no way to reset app or get help with it. Phone and WiFi are both fine.

All that’s left is to add MOS forecasts. This is a truly great app. If it had MOS forecasts where available it would be unbeatable.

Not working. It updated, and no longer allows to save stations ... after all the stations I had saved vanished. If I can't view saved stations, it's not much use to me.

For GA in Oz? Nope.. App with plenty of potential. Not much use to GA pilot in Oz though. Only 7 airports in SA (including Woomera!) but no Mt Gambier, Pt Pirie, Naracoorte etc where BOM provides excellent data which should be used to the max by this software. I'll give it another look in a year or so but for now...deleted.

Excellent app. Some reviewers say it has few Australian airports but that does not seem to be the case, for example I use Launceston regional airport in Tasmania. Some very minor airports are listed that have no internet weather data, but that's not the app's fault. An excellent source of real-time weather information including cloud cover and height, rainfall, wind speed and direction and more, plus forecast. So if you are interested in the current weather at any location where there is an airport then this is the app for you.

App crashed when updating. Am excellent application, but I found it 'crashed' many times when it went to update the weather.

Didn't work for me. Would be great if it worked. Airports are listed but will not load any data. Was only able to get 1 major airport to work. If it worked correctly I would pay for the Pro version but alas it doesn't.

crash and ABX not loading. This is a good application but as previously stated some airports do not download. Please someone look at Albury. I fly out of this and it would be useful. It crashed a couple of times. Otherwise very useful. I would even pay a bit for this application if it has more features like NOTAMS.

Great but lacking. An excellent application if it had all major airports. Needs a feed from bom or naips to really make it worthwhile.

Bankstown. Great application! Needs Bankstown airport, Sydney. A major training airport!

Great little app!. I've used the Desktop Widget version of this app for some time as a quick and easy way to get meteorological data for my local area. I liked it's simple but accurate "conversion" of the METAR/TAF data into layman's terms. So when I got my new iPod Touch the other day I had to give this app a whirl and I have to say I am impressed. It presents the data in a tidy interface with some neat little extras, e.g Station info, link to Google map and nearby stations hotkey. The ability to change the units is icing on the cake. My needs for AeroWeather are rather limited, given I'm not a pilot and only use it for quickly accessible local weather and as yet haven't come across any of the limitations mentioned by other reviewers, I have to give it 5 stars.

Great App for pilots. I tried this application just after the initial release, and while the concept was great it was very prone to crashing due to decoding problems of the Weather reports generated here in Australia. Since the updated release this is vastly improved. The application is now ROCK SOLID! I am very very impressed with this application and find it incredibly useful in my work as an airline pilot. Highly recommended and could (should) be payware! On the wish list - the inclusion of NOTAMS!

Useless application for pilots in Western Australia. Only has 3 airports in WA being Perth, Geraldton and Albany. Doesn't have Jandakot which is the 2nd busiest airport in the southern hemisphere. How about including Jandakot, Bunbury, Busselton, Cunderdin, Garden Island, Gingin, Mount Magnet, Morawa, Pearce, Rottnest Island, Esperance, Norseman, Golden Grove, Kalbarrie, Narembeen. These are just WA, what about the other states in Australia? Don't release an app to the Australian store if it's no good to Australians!

Does what is says on the tin.. This is a simple free app that gets the latest local TAF ( terminal area forecasts) and displays them in a graphical format making them easier to understand - great for pilots, probably not so useful for the average joe. A big thank you to the author of this great little app.

Awesome app!. I am an Airline Pilot and have been using the widget version of this app on my mac for ages. The widget version has been accurate, consise and invaluable. I'm impressed with the ease of use and clever layout of the iPhone version and highly recommend it. Well done.

Excellent app. This is one of the best executed apps out there. Does exactly what it says and does it very well. As a number of other people have requested can you please add Australia's busiest airport - Bankstown (YSBK). It's a bit limited for us Aussies without the major GA fields included.

Not accurate & does not load data always. Funafuti is not in Fiji!!! Why doesn't the data always load?

Brilliant!. Has all the major airports I need, great for a heads up prior to planning a flight. Gives TAF and METARS decoded, local times, twilight times, elevations etc. Thanks to the developers for a great app!

Nice application with a lot of data. The application can be a little unstable, but these issues are minimal compared to the huge amount of great weather data you can get. Plus sunrise & sunset times are also included unlike many applications.

Great app but needs more fields. If you fly on and out of the majors this app is great. If you need TAFs for any of the smaller fields or GAAPs then get NAIPS.

It has become part of my regular work toolkit.. I have paid for the basic subscription option for this app and it gives me what I need. I like the METAR history as I can use that to follow weather trends as I approach my destination. The other helpful feature is the ability to highlight keywords in TAFs and METARs. I have setup extensive highlights which makes it possible to have important info catch my eye if it appears. This is especially helpful when viewing the METAR history. The only thing missing is auto-refresh which I believe comes with the more expensive subscription. I can handle a manual refresh every 30 mins!

Good with lots of info. In Australia and airport in the middle east & Europe quite good coverage. Would be good if map of the airport with wind direction are incorporated.

NWS source is limited. A well presented app. Recommend using additional sources to the U.S NWS as it will not cover some important non commercial airfields in Austrailia. Suggest Airservices Australia as a secondary source when data cannot be retrieved by the NWS.

App Good, new update Bad.. Love this app, use it all the time. But the new update rendered the app completely unusable. Nothing loads, no stations are found. Will something be out soon to rectify the issue?

Metar & TAF not showing. It used to be a very simple but convenient tool to check the weather until I updated it yesterday. Nothing shows up now, no METAR, sometimes TAF, what’s going on?

Says no METAR available. No METAR available. Remind me why I paid for this widget? Was working for a few days and then nothing. Please fix and I will change my rating. Update. After a little more than a day it seems to be working again. Better than any other METAR widget now.

Version 1.2.9. I don't want to repeat what others have said so I just want to say that it seems to work just fine with Canadian Airports and I like the color coded wx indicators vmc / IMC.

Monthly subscription for widgets? Really?. Hiding widgets behind a monthly subscription is lousy development. If you want to attract subscribers then develop compelling features, don’t monetize the ones that cost you almost nothing to implement when Apple made them a standard in iOS... Canadian LWIS stations still seem to be unreported here so I have to use ForeFlight or navcanada to get station information. I swear by this app but it would be nice to make it the only wx source I have to check!

Doesn't work!!!. Update please!!!!

What Happened?. Used to be a strong 5 Star App until they started updating it too much. Now the Forecasts don’t update properly sometimes for a few days. Hope they fix this issue.

GREAT aviation weather app. As above, this app has blown my expectations out of the water! Real time weather and while it's geared towards pilots it's very simple design allows to change aviation coded weather to normal everyday English. 4/5 stars. Only way to get 5/5 (theoretical perfect app) would be to have weather charts/radar.

Great Aviation Weather app. I am a private pilot. I have been using this app (lite version) for many years for my weather planning for flights. I have found it very useful and easy to use. Also, I have contacted the developer on a couple of occasions to ask questions about the app and he has been very responsive. I recommend this app to all aviators.

New update 👎🏻. The recent update seems to have killed the app on iPhone X and 6. Nothing opens on the app. Pathetic!

Mr.. Ap was great when I first downloaded it. Now, the TAF updates infrequently. Defeats the primary reason for having this ap versus just going to Nav Canada. Please fix this problem!

Modern “marketing” strikes again. What ever happened to paying $10 for an app and having it forever or until a new version came out? Just because your community college marketing textbook says you can charge subscriptions for anything, does not mean that’s moral or good.

Widget issue. The widget displays “failure” after a short while. I would have to resubmit my stations to get it to work again.

Great App.. For a ‘Lite Version’ this app works great! Have been using for years with out any major issues. When I did notice something off with the app, I sent an email to support, and they immediately got back to me. Can’t ask for any more then that! Highly recommended.

Excellent App. I downloaded this app to get the metars and TAF's for my flight planning. Good interface and great support when I had a question. It is the first app i look at when looking at going flying.

Great app. It’s a great app I use it in the air all the time to get weather ahead of time! They are also super receptive to change in info if you report it to them!

Please add Upper Winds (FDs). If you add winds aloft, I'll upgrade to the pro version. Deal? ;-)

Must for any pilot. Use app everyday. Can quickly check weather before or during a flight. Works great. Make one for GFA's and FD's please!

Fantastic. I only wish that there was an option to view METARs from hours past to see trends. Otherwise I would have given four stars.

Aeroweather. Fantastic App. I use it all the time. Way quicker than browsing and the "nearby stations" function will bring up other weather information that isn't part of the standard weather reporting

New update. Of course this stupid developer puts ads in the latest update. Don't upgrade!

Aviation weather. Great app. Best one yet that I have found. This one actually works. I use it before flight and just to check what the weather is going to be and it always updates. Other apps that I used did not do this well.

Awesome. Updates about 7 minutes after the hour, I use it every day. Has a decoded plain English, good to switch back and forth for new pilots to learn the codes

Great functional app.. This no nonsense app is is ideal and just works as it should. You can see in an instant the conditions in either raw or decoded. Thanks folks for a really useful addition to my flight bag.

Deleted. Not subscribing.. I’ll buy but I don’t rent apps. Subscription just to get the widget? I.e. the only useful feature? Get lost. Nobody who doesn’t know how to read METAR needs this app. You just made it easier and now you shot yourselves in the foot. Seriously. Whatever. Bye Felicia.

Latest version a money grab. Used to be good... latest version makes you pay to keep history. Look elsewhere for something better like I am. I don’t like them changing the app to make you pay after working good for years.

Canadian airports not updating. Canadian airports for some reason is not updating METARs.

A great aviation weather app. I have been using this app multiple times a day for several years. I love it functionality and ease of use. It has been very reliable except for the very rare occasion when the METARs and TAFs have been slow to update due to data issues beyond the writer’s control. Their customer support has been very responsive. Good job all around.

Updating issue. It can be quite hard to update weather at Canadian airports, sometime just impossible. Please get a fix

Still an awesome app. I use aeroweather every day, even when I'm not flying. Awesome app. Change is never easy, so when you download the update, pull down on the screen to load new info and read the help info for how to use and move the new features around the screen. No longer free. Used to be a great free app with lots of information at your fingertips. Have not tried the paid version but in Canada the web version works just as well. Info on free version is purposely inaccurate with tafs and metars are frequently 2+ hours out of date.

Amazing!. Incredible app! Search via ICAO and have all the important info upfront instant. Input your frequent airports and you are good to go! Definitely going to consider the pro version soon, at the very least to support the app creator!

Unable to load. I had this app for about 7 years.... it’s been great until lately, haven’t been able to load METARs and TAFs at any Canadian station.... fix this please??

Update made it useless. When I did the latest update it blanked my list and will not let me add airports. It went from being an app I loved to one that does not work.

Great App. I used the free version for about a year, on a 3GS and a 4S, with no problem. It has been great for checking local conditions before heading out/up. I recently bought the Pro version, to support the developer. It doesn't add a lot of functions that I absolutely need, but is probably still the best bargain in an otherwise expensive pastime.

3.1.5 broken. Update to 3.1.5 deleted all saved airports. Can’t add any airports. Worked great before, now useless

Very Useful. Love the app. A very useful way to follow obs and TAF’s.

Horrible Update. Yikes. This app went from being very well rated to terribly rated, all because of the update. It’s terrible. I’ve used this app for a long time and loved it and recommended it to others. Now I don’t like it at all and doubt I’ll use it anymore. There’s way too much clutter and information. There are too many options. I don’t need any of that stuff. This app did one thing very well: extremely clean and simple access to METARs and TAFs. That’s all. It used to be great for that, but the update changed that. Don’t make me have to poke around and figure out how to reconfigure and turn all this clutter off. Bad call. Even the fonts are worse now. Know what you do well and what people use you for and stick to it (simple, clean, uncluttered METARs and TAFs, that’s it). I just want the old version back.

Exactly!. This is the first free iPhone app I've seen that fully demonstrates all of the rich features of the iPhone interface. The interface is clean with detailed information and a number of optional settings available. The ability to show a list of airports based on current location is great for beginners who don't know where the nearest airport with meterological facilities are, as well as pilots who don't remember which other airports might be close by. Added to that is the ability to link the airport location back into Maps and see a satellite view or even get directions to that airport. As a software developer and a pilot, I really can't think of any other features to ask for. Anything else risks bloating the application and possibly restricting the flow of information to the user. I've been searching for an application of this quality since the opening of the App Store, thinking that I might have to write it myself. My hat is off to the developer.

Pilots...you NEED this!. I'm a pilot for a major airline, and use a variety of WX apps. Myweather, WXunderground, etc. They've all got shortcomings. This app is bulletproof. It gives you exactly what you're looking for, uncluttered, raw data access to the METARS. It even does the english interpretation of the METARS, and nice little graphic interpretations of the data. Foolproof, crashproof, and FREE! Just like scrounging around in the cabin for newspapers after the flight, sometimes the best things in life are free...

Updated version has ad banner, but overall quite good. The detailed description of what was included in this update mentioned many changes, but there was no mention of the app now including ads. I would have been ok with this if I was told BEFORE I upgraded. Even though I was quite irritated by this, I was pleased with the developer’s response by email. And I can see the need for “nudges” to encourage people to buy the pro version. There really aren’t other apps out there that have a clean interface and easy access to the types of data offered by this one.

Best aviation app out there. This is easily the most useful to a VFR pilot application currently available on the iPhone. The layout is very clear and readable, adding a new station is a breeze. Using strategically selected waypoints for a cross-country flight it provides almost as much info as a normal weather brief, and is certainly quicker and easier to navigate through. The only reasons I still pull a forecast before flying is for the synopsis and to have my weather check "on record".

Great Program - useful, but simple. This program combines the very best of a lot of valuable information with a simple, quick, and clean interface. Could some other weather info be added as well? Possibly winds aloft, link to NOAA radar or other images, or maybe progs and others (even if just a link like the airnav link)? Area forecasts and airmets/sigmets/conv sigmets would also be very useful!

Ok.... Not bad overall. I'm a USAF forecaster and appreciate being able to search ICAO's and get aviation forecasts (way better than what you get on tv). The reason for star deductions is the lack of proper encoding of TAF's. Civilian airport taf's seem to get decoded better, but any I get from Air Force bases are decoded incorrectly. Remarks and additional information that we use in the AF are important and are missing if only viewing decoded TAF's (I.e. Wind remarks, TS over mountains, limited metwatch, etc). Fix your decoding to include military 36 hour format and I give it 5 stars.

Poor Update. I enjoyed this app for years, this latest update ruined the look and feel of the app.

Astonishingly good!!!. Why astonishing? Well, it's an incredibly useful pilot tool and it's free, that's why. Clear the airports, then using a sectional and your route, input all the airports with AWOS along your flightpath. Now, you just hit refresh and instantly you have the MC for your route--green VFR, blue MVFR, red IFR and purple LIFR. Could not be easier and real-time! The only thing I wish you could do is put your dep and arr codes in and it would automatically select the AWOS sites along the route--I would pay for that readily.

Cpt: G550. Excellent App (even on my iPhone G2), especially the plain text, just makes it that much easier to read quickly. The one suggestion I might have, as a (pro) Pilot, is that the data gathered while on the ground should remain in memory to be reviewed in flight (airplane mode). Not only would this make it an effective tool in flight but it would also make it a green App, no more printing loads of WX on paper. I am not suggesting (at this time) that this App should replace regulatory WX requirements but I feel it is additional support to conventional means. The App gets my thumbs up, good job!

Multiple Metars. As a weather forecaster I love this APP for a quick look around the world at places I have been or whatever. One addition if you can... Something similar to the ADDS site that allows you to select multiple hours of METARS, or simply add say the latest 3 hours of METARS to the main window when you select a station. PErhaps something that could be in the settings? ie show 3-6-9 hours of METARS would make things SO much better. Of course still no APP out there that I can find, that does it all.... from a weather forecasting standpoint... realtime, plus model data, plus imagery, plus analysis.

Awsome - all the data you would expect simple and accurate. very nice. thanks. you get the current conditions and the forecast (all decoded) for each station you select. A++. I do however offer two minor wish list items for future updates - pls put the height of the clouds on main screen next to the cloud condition (i.e, after "few clouds" insert "4500") I realize that I can tap read that info on the next screen but one less tap for that data is better. If you don't have enough room on the main screen then definately delete the hPa reading from the main screen. The hPa is on the second screen and it's not as important as the cloud height. Oooh LaLa, I like this APP!. I use this app with the greatest of ease. In fact, I was so frustrated with AOPA's Foreflight (because it fails to update) I am using AeroWeather to it's fullest potential because it tells me MORE than AOPA's ForeFlight. Also, this APP easily updates through WiFi (unlike Foreflight). When there is an update for AeroWeather, I tap on the update area on my iPhone, it automatically does it's thing through my WiFi here on my farm, going through WildBlue (a satellite service since I don't have any other access to a fast ISP). Every update has been easy and smooth and I found the learning curve to be easy for this app. Adding a favorite airport is a snap. And with this app, I can pull up runway diagrams at my favorite airports with ease. I get the weather Muy Pronto at my favorite airports and AeroWeather delivers everytime. I have one small complaint... It is sometimes difficult to tell when the data was last updated. I don't really fault AeroWeather for this, it is more of a user problem, but I would like to see the update TIME in bold text to make certain I have the "latest and greatest." 5 stars for this VERY helpful app.

What happened to military locations?. Is there a reason why military METATS/TAFs are no longer provided?

Lost of info. I love this app. I have other weather apps that offer radar, goofy icons, etc., but I use this one most. It offers current weather and forecasts from the National Weather Service in an easy-to-use, simple, and intuitive way. Yes, it's a bit complicated with all the METAR and TAFs, but if reading them raw isn't you're thing, this app with decode them for you. I love METAR, and I love the at-a-glance nature of the setup of this app. Besides, how can you beat free?

No option to add airports. Upon opening the app I get a blank screen with no option to do anything but look at the map

Very, very cool!. This is THE app for aviation weather! For a quick look at the weather at various airports, you can't beat it. And you get TAF's as a bonus. Very well done! Free is a very good price! One suggestion: How about adding the telephone number for the AWOS or ASOS station to the second page of info? That would save a trip to the AirNav page to get it. Nice to have if the data from the station is old.

Aero Weather is Great App for Pilots. This is a terrific free app for pilots! Makes it very easy to quickly get current weather (METAR) and forcasts (TAFs). Simple to update with single button and keeps up with special weather METARs. I also use it when flying to look ahead and see what the weather is at destination before I can pick up the ATIS on the radio. Easily customizable to add and subract airports. Works internationally, having just used it in New Zealand. Highly recommend!

Have to pay for METARs now??. Metars and tafs have bern free and autoload ever since I’ve had this app. Wake up this morning and they want $.99 for metars now? Dont get greedy aeroweather we have other sources.

Best App for pilots. Have been using this app for over 3 months. This app is great for aviators. It give you a snapshot of weather where your going, and the forcast too. All decoded. It also provides links to airport directory and has all the info for that airport. It is well written and I find it very useful. Great job Pascal. Would recommend to all. Already turned this app on to several pilots and all are hooked.

SADLY, LATEST REVISIONS HAVE SCREWED THIS UP. Below you'll find my 'review' of several years ago. I loved this app back then and activated it more than once each day. Alas, someone a few months ago couldn't leave 'perfection' alone, and IMPROVED the format. Now it's just a shadow of its former simplicity; doesn't load as quickly and has clutter that few will like. I would pay money to have the old app back. If you who control this app read this please consider offering the old format for a reasonable price. I'll be happy to join up. BELOW IS WHAT I WROTE ABOUT THE OLD APP, BEFORE CURRENT REVISIONS: This app shows you the weather as recorded at any airport you designate, and gives that to you in "real time", updating that weather every hour. Since aviation requires current, accurate weather, you receive this benefit when you use this app. I've been using this for about a year now and it always works and is simple to use. It allows you to make a list of as many locations as you would like, and displays current weather at each of those when you open the app. You can choose a location by the name of the airport or by the name of a town. My own list, arranged in the order I desire, now contains 22 locations scattered across the USA and the Bahama Islands. I see this list, with current weather for each location, each time I open this app. Info includes current temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed, amount of cloud cover and forecast weather for the next 24 hours; along with with information about the airport where this data was collected. Very helpful for anyone who is traveling or who participates in outdoor activities which are affected A

Great App. I'm a CFI and I use this app every day. The raw data makes it easy to know the weather before I get to the airport while at a stoplight. Who has time to glance at coded weather and decipher times, etc.? It helps me make quick decisions especially when ceilings are low. It's always accurate. Great app and it's free!!! I mean, how can you beat a great app that's free?

Quick "On the Go" METARS!. This app is excellent simply because you can have your favorite airports saved and simply click the app button the main page and quickly review the decoded METARS for those airports. It does other things but I just love being able to push one button and immediately take a look at four airports METARS. Thank You!

Wonderful Weather App.... ....And I have almost ALL of them! I love this one for several reasons: A. I love the format of the decoded TAFs. B. I like that you can enable civil twilight times; eliminates the need for my Civil Twilight Calculator App. C. I really like the fact that you can put the stations in order several different ways. D. You can also display each item in the units that YOU prefer (i.e., if you want English for some, metric for a couple, and your coordinates in DMS, just select them that way!) I'm not a pilot, just a weather professional (and also weather GEEK!) who loves to keep track of the weather when I'm not working. Great job, Devs! Even though I'm not a flier, I may have to upgrade just to support you!

Absolutely Perfect!!. I fly for a major airline, both international & domestic and this is by far the best aviation weather app available. I currently keep 32 airports from 10 countries in the app. Start the app and touch the update symbol and all 32 airports are instantly updated for current and forecast weather. Unlike most WX apps, the last weather updates you obtain remain available at all times between updates even when the iPhone is in Airplane Mode. Having the terminal area forecasts translated into plain English is so valuable - both for training and safety. Being able to easily view the current local time and sunrise & sunset times is also great. Being able to use ZULU times is a bonus. The online U.S. Airport information program, including access to approach plates, SIDs & Stars is both interesting & valuable. Many thanks for such a great product. Keep up the good work.

A must have for pilots. I fly out of Van Nuys and this app always has up to date info that is current to the ATIS. I use it prior to flight and even in flight to get an idea of weather and wind at my destination airport. If you fly this is a must have. I am hoping that active runways will be added in the future but by seeing the wind direction it is usually easy to figure out anyways.

Outstanding!. Nice work...I've used it for four months. I love this app. I fly professionally and can't believe I used to get metars and taf's the old fashioned way. I don't have to spend 30 minutes waiting for the wx channel to get to the point, I know what the weather is going to be for each leg of my trip before I get to the crew van. Any chance of a radar snapshot or link for each airport on the list? It would just be a second layer of icing on the cake. Thanks for a well thought out and executed application!

Made for pilots. Plain and simple... this application gives you weather information you need as a pilot. (No, it's not regular weather, like the 5pm news) Metar & TAF (raw or translated) IMPORTANT NOTE -- Apple doesn't seem to give the correct average score. Should be 4.5 stars or better based on reviews. There are 2 one-star, about 5 three-star, and about 160 four-star and five-star reviews. That is NOT a three-star average. More like 4.5

Great Weather App. Great for pros as for amateurs. For people working around meteorology is a fast, accurate, trustable way to gather the desired current met data. For the regular guy is a great way to have actual conditions as well as letest forecasts for any place they may want, using the "decoded" view for easy-undestanding, clear text. All organized into a clear, easy to use way and a very professional looking app. The app works perfectly and has high level of customization settings. The rare hungups or crashes are result of bad formatted data got from the NOAA site, not due to any bug in the app. Also the support is great and the app is for free. Thanks Pascal Dreer.

Not a Pilot But......... I like this app' because I can easyly follow the weather anywhere in the world. I get a big kick out of monitering the weather at the South Pole. When it is 90 degree in Cheyenne, finding out it is -95 degree belwo zero F some how makes me feel just a little cooler. This app is real nice for someone who is driving in my part of the world during the winter. There are sutomted weather stations that report to this app that are part of the weather reporting system used by the Wyoming Department of Transportation. Being able to get real time data om weather conditions out in a isolated areas of the state is real important when the weather get masty for travellers.

SF Traffic watch pilot. I'm a traffic watch pilot and flight instructor flying out of KHWD in the SF bay area and I've been using this app for over a year now. AeroWeather light is in my easy access bar because of how much I use it. It's perfect to quickly determine WX around the bay and to determine civil twilight and sunset times. The "decoded" feature for TAFs makes it so easy to quickly and accurately plan my day. I must emphasize that this is the most useful app for pilots like myself who are still flying around one general region. (not on regular long xc flights across states) There are better apps for planning xc flights over long distances but this app serves me and my type of flying perfectly. A must have in any pilots iPhone and it's free! I probably shouldn't let Pascal know, but I would easily pay $10 for this app. (I didn't purchase the pro version because I've got exactly what I want and need with the light one) Get it, load your local airports and use it regularly... you'll grow to love it.

Glad I Found It. I had to stop flying several years ago, but still read all the rags and stay current on new procedures, etc. But I really missed was being in tune with aviation weather. I thought the only way I could get what I wanted was to buy a subscription to the major aviation apps. Then I found this and I am delighted. Been using it for a couple of years now.

Great way to obtain METAR reports. As a meteorology major, this was the perfect app I was looking for in order to get METAR reports quickly. The decoding feature is also great and saves me the time of decoding the report myself. I hope there would possibly be a way to add more than just the most recent report in a future update. Nevertheless, this is one of my top apps, plus it's free!

Perfect for what it does. I love this app, I use it multiple times a day every time I go flying. It does everything you could want in terms of decoding and updating METARs and TAFs. I like that it converts them into local time for you. Only thing they could add I guess would be more airport database information, then they could compute winds down and across different runways, but in terms of just plain weather at an airport this app has it all.

Now the only weather application I use.. and I don't even fly!. Since almost the instant I installed this application it became my only weather application on the iPhone. It gave me more information than any other weather application, more current information, and most importantly accurate information! It doesn't do long term forecast but when I want to know what the weather is like anywhere it refreshes the 12 stations I have in it nearly instantly and it gives me a picture of the weather all around my area. The search feature to find local flight weather stations is also great! My only minor suggestion is to be able to drill down on some of the symbols and break down or give a brief explanation of the acronyms for us non-pilots. Truly one of my favorite iPhone applications!

Aerowx. Add back the current temperature on the main page. Put it in C/F. Why remove it ?

Great app for pilots and aviation geeks. If you're looking for a simple app to display METAR/TAF, this is for you. Simple to use with accurate decoded translations. The links to iFlightPlanner and AirNav are nice touches. My only very minor complaint is that you cannot do a one-time check on an airport without defining it as a 'station'. e.g. I'd like to do a one-time check on KLAX or KSFO without adding them to my station list. Not enough of an issue to lower from 5 stars. Good job!

Great Update. Continues to be the aviation app I use most often. Love the update and picture feature. The dynamic font option actually allows me to see the font without reading glasses. I'm very glad you added an ad banner instead of charging me for the update and thanks for not charging anything for 10 years, what an amazing value! Pull down and hold to refresh like every other iPhone app. Love the map feature. Love the Nearby feature which will be extremely helpful traveling away from my home airport. I look forward to exploring all the other new features.

Great aplication. I will use it all the time.. I might me missing something but, why aren't the winds able to be displayed in knots*? This is what most people who fly live by. This is not a big deal I suppose; however please make it an option to display in knots. (assuming it is not user error). Other than that, it is a great app for planning my day. Sure it is not official weather. I get that weather from somewhere else. But I can quickly look at this app and tell if my next airports are getting better or worse. Plus having quick acess to sunset/sunrise times is a great touch. Anyway. Thanks and GREAT JOB. UPDATED********* Well, with the last update, you can now display the winds in knots. And now, I truely love this program. UPDATE UPDATE******* This program continues to be on page one of my apps and it is going to stay there unless something dramatic happens. Mu current version has no issues, never crashes, and makes me very happy. Great App !. I've had this app for nearly a year now and it never fails to amaze me!.. I was approaching an uncontrolled airfield recently and had no way of knowing the wind conditions and instead of overflying the field to get a look at the windsock I got the latest metars from my iphone and instantly new which runway to use and to expect a 13knot x-wind. Can't believe this is a free app!!!!!

Latest update is messing it up. I used this app all of the time since I fly for an airline. It's been tremendous, loved it, until.... This latest update is messing it up. Now, when I attempt to sync it up with the current weather, it gives me an error at the bottom of the screen saying "invalid content!" I'm going to try and delete it, and then reinstall, but it's a shame that an update got released that wasn't fully vetted. It's a great program when it works though, so keep it in mind if you need aviation weather observations and forecasts. It'll get a 5-star rating form me, when it is working again. The plain language decoding is great for people not used to all of the abbreviations.

Pro pilot uses this app more than adds. I do aerial survey projects all over North America, so 99% of my flying is out of airports other than my home base. I refer to this app more than I do adds. I love how well the info is decoded and that the TAF's are presented in local time. I also LOVE being able to look at a location and can see the other wx reporting locations in proximity to the location I'm looking at. Give the developer a shout-out if you would pay a few $$ (like I would) to have decoded NOTAMS included in this app. One problem that I've run into that is being addressed...... if you're in the boonies and on the Edge (aptly named, don't you think?) network, the info update sometimes fails. The developer tells me he is in the process of adding the telephone # for each station's awos, so that you can direct dial that station. That feature could be a lifesaver if the wx is fast-changing and the wx info is 55 minutes old. Great product and great support!
