Calm Health App Reviews

Big FAIL in terminology. I went to enter my conditions and was appalled to find that Calm is so out-of-touch. No one has Chronic MigraineS. This is a chronic neurological condition with no cure, not a type of headache. You wouldn’t say someone gets asthmas and you don’t say someone gets migraines either. I have migraine and it causes migraine attacks. This sort of language perpetuates the stigma that leaves migraine research chronically underfunded, leaves people with migraine struggling to get bosses, co-workers, and even family to understand the reality of this disease. I expected better from you, Calm.

Cannot login since authentication code will not send from app. I created an account through my employer and logged in, but when asked for my phone number for authentication code to be sent… all I get is an error message that says “code cannot be sent, try again later.” I have tried later for two days now. There is no contact to inquire about this problem. For a “calm” app, this is incredibly frustrating.

Enjoy it on the iPhone but…. Great App, I look forward to using it on my iPad too in the future. 🙂

Can’t use app and no details on how to contact administrator. I have an account and a program has been created but I’m unable to log into the app at all and can only see/use it online which I don’t want to do. I get a “500” error and directions to contact an apparently nonexistent administrator. Help please!

Needs phone verification which doesn’t work. Was invited to participate, but to register you can’t use your existing profile, but they want your google profile or Apple login and you must verify a phone number (but the verification doesn’t even work). No thanks.

Log in changes. This is a helpful and informative app. The time spent here is never wasted. After receiving an invitation to join I did so over a month ago. However now I’m being asked to create a new account and cannot log in with my existing credentials. Why is that? How do I access my already existing “Care Plan?”

Love!. This is a great app. I listen to the sessions during my commute & it’s honestly so informative & helpful if you let it. You can tailor it to your needs. I’m so happy that my health insurance company offers this. Great day to day strategies. LOVE!

Needs work-glitchy. So many glitches in this app. The daily refresh of tasks doesn’t refresh. The daily check-in survey doesn’t always come up, so creates inconsistent data. If you log out you lose your data. There’s no button to access the daily check-in survey yourself. I can see how I would end up liking and using this app regularly, especially as I already use the Calm App every night. Tbh, I’m not sure why you needed to make a separate app that was already doing the exact same thing-you even had all the sleep program stuff and then removed it a several month ago. Bizarre. Just to make money…

Adds stress when trying to reduce stress. The calm health app and its connection to UHC seems more stress inducing rather than relaxing

Keep having to sign in. It is not helpful if I have to sign in approximately every 3 days. I haven’t memorized the password so the app is pretty much useless for stress relief.

Logging me out. Everytime I launch the app I am logged out and it forces me to reauthenticate. Very frustrating.

US Heathcare at its worse. The non heath version is way better experience.

Terrible experience switching. My employer switched to calm health and I could never get the switch to work from Calm. Call was good, not sure what Calm Health is but since the app is unusable I won’t find out.

Timer on soundscapes. please consider bringing timer feature to the new app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WIDGET PLEASE!. Make a widget!

Soundscapes cycle defect. With the original app I played the same soundscape but with calm health it has an intermittent second of stopping causing my sleep interrupted. This showcases the opposite approach to my goal with this category of app.

Have to login over and over. This would be a good app if it didn’t make you constantly log in. No other app I have makes you do this.

Great app. This is a great tool to begin the journey to self-awareness.

Bad user experience. The content is great but I have to log into my account every time I open the app.
