AI Image Generator - Monet App Reviews

Automatically locks you out for no reason. Tech support tells me that they’re sorry for the inconvenience but it’s an automated process & there’s nothing they can do about it. In addition it has a bug which doesn’t allow you to save individual images. You have to save a batch of four every time. Rendering quality is so-so and it handles hands worse than any other AI generator I’ve used. Also if you uninstall and reinstall you lose ALL your work. Not a reliable app.

Love it, but…. I love this app, I use it daily! I think it’s great to kinda play around until I get the exact look I want. BUT would you please review the limitations on creating vids? It’s already on a 3 second cap in length so would you be able to remove the 1 minute cooldown when generating? Ty!

This is cool..but in simply broke. Its cool and all and it looks great, but everytime i go in this i get asked to buy a premuim thing. Ive tried to download other apps that let me use SORA without any transaction or even s free trial but none do that at all, what im saying is atleast make a free trial for 14-15 days, because i dont just wanna waste my money on, my allowance is literally 10$ and i dont wanna waste it on some stupid AI video, im desperate but not THAT despite

Horrible videos - needs lots of improvement. I entered a few easy prompts and got some horrible looking videos made up of very low quality imagery. For example, “bamboo leaves rustling in the wind” looked like a blurry bunch of Gumby arms. “Birds flying through the mountains with a sunset” had a crazy bunch of birds that flying chaotically looking like something out of a horror or end-of-the-world movie. The video feature needs lots of improvement. I cancelled my subscription after trying four prompts.

Recommended Feature To Add. As much fun as I have coming up with prompts to be generated into images, I’ve made so many that I’m trying to get rid of any I don’t want. The problem is that I can’t select multiple. I have to do one at a time, and nearing a thousand that’s going to take forever. Please let us select multiple. Great app otherwise.

Not realistic. This ap is great if you’re into art and design but the realistic prompt lacks in actual realistic features. It is more cartoonish than reality. So if you’re into creating actual realistic content I would not purchase this ap. Also the video feature only creates short video like 2 seconds and is more of a GIF than a video. But otherwise it does create some cool art. If the realistic prompt actually produced realistic results I’d rate this ap 5/5.

A few more options. Great program. Very powerful however I wish I could get video in 16: 9 widescreen. At first it appeared to do that but then rotated it to 9:16. We need to be able to make longer video clips. If that’s not possible, it would be great to have a prompt we could use so that we could make the next video clip. Continue where the last one left off using all the same elements so that when piece together, they appear to be the same shot.

Sort function. I use the money app almost daily. The upscale option is great and very helpful in getting a great image. The biggest problem is getting older images easily. If we can get a sort option that allows you to see oldest to newest or newest to oldest images you created. Maybe a feature that allows you to see images by a date range from creation date. So you want to see something you created in September of 2024 you cand put the date range in and it will show you the images you created during those date ranges. Thanks any help with accessing the images you created in the past easier to achieve will be great. The current way is time consuming and if some are upscaled with the current bugs it will restart the app and all progress is lost. I do want to keep upscale because it is a very great tool. Thank you.

Cannot load images. I love the app, but some images such as the ones with hands and feet tend to come out disproportionate, especially in video generations. How can I avoid theses distorted images from showing up as a result of the prompts that I enter in? Also it it be really helpful if I could include a photo, or a drawing to try to help the model understand what I’m looking for.

Too many issues. The images look as bad as early 2023 tech. All reference images get cropped to square and basically result in pretty bad output. The upscale function gives overly smoothed and overly sharpened and thus is unusable for anything. It keeps every image you make and deleting is about a five seconds process for each, with NO MULTI-SELECT to delete. Deleting 100 images and videos? Say goodbye to 10 full minutes of your life. The video output is tiny, 2 seconds, low quality, and absolutely not Sora. The devs pranked us.

Cool! I have some suggestions!…. Very cool! I'm a filmmaker and this is what I've been hoping for. Can you create an app with even more controls? We can tell it specifically the shot size the focal length the camera type, type of movement. For now can you at least make the clips longer? 10 seconds? And higher resolutions? Thank you.

No no nope. These guys have been flooding the market with ads saying they’re Sora, so I downloaded to try it out. They are not Sora nor are they connected to OpenAI. I tried some prompts on the free versions and didn’t get anything near what I was asking for. Simple things like “a tortoise and a hare in the forest” and I’d get a close up of a tortoise and nothing else. I wanted to try more options, but you have to pay. I contacted customer service as on the payment page it mentions a trial and I wanted to know how long that trial was for. Customer service said there is no trial period. I sent them a screenshot of the page and said I didn’t want to pay for a year up front when what I’d tried so far on the free version didn’t work. Did they offer a money back guarantee? They responded saying “ask apple for money back.” So I didn’t buy it. I figured it can’t be very good as you’d use the free version to entice people and that couldn’t do any of my simple prompts. At least customer service responded I suppose! Usually a week after my email.

Video generation is nice, but lacking in features.. It would be nice to be able to choose the style of video; currently it just generate either animated or live-action seemingly randomly. Also, the option of using images or videos to base the new video on (similarly to the photo-generator option) would be very helpful. Sometimes no matter how much information I provide, it generates something completely different than expected. Also sometimes things on the videos move very strangely.

Very limited. It won’t produce the exact text you request… ie make a “stop” sign… the sign will be misspelled. The images they pull from seem to be from very old stock. They limit hope much you can produce and then start putting you down for a time out. The app finally stopped working for me, so I gave up. At first it was promising, but not for producing any long term content. The AI doesn’t take well to instructions and does its own thing. I’m also not a child, so the apps creators will definitely fail on this one by putting adults down for a time out.

NEEDS MORE ACCURATE DEFINITIONS. As graphic designer and a color correction expert this app needs deep work for the final retouch, i mentioned a few inputs to AI that were very simple requests and failed to perform, as an example i use a photo of myself with a simple description of me by the empire state bldg in new york city and it send me different times a whole different concept including my skin color ( im white latino ) and the app gave me numerous wrong details as me being a black skin tone with shades, sorry but this app paltform need a lot of work still, but is heading in the right direction, this is my humble opinion as a user, keep it up guys in a year or so his app can make a lot of interesting ideas and options.

Longer video clip. I would like to see video clips that last longer than three seconds, or a looping feature. Either or both would be very nice. Thank you for your consideration.

Longer video generation options. It would be great to be able to generate videos with different length generation options that are a lot longer than just the 3 seconds currently allowed and, if possible, different aspect ratios. I hope y’all are at least working on that.

Own photos and videos. I’d like to ask if there could be a possibility of utilizing our own photos and videos if we are paid subscribers? It’ll more unique for everyone with there photos or videos..

I would like to be able to upload a picture of me, a pic of my car or bike, and a mountain road and ask ai to generate a picture of me on my bike on the road I uploaded. It seems like it’s just giving a pic out of a large data base of pics Either not my car or not my bike or not anybody that looks like me.

2 sec videos?. I paid for the year of this because of the video ability. I want my money back. 2 second videos is a rip off. Not to pass the fact you can’t get full screen size. Which I could live with if the videos were longer. I came across an add showing much longer videos saying this app offered it. FALS ADVERTISING. All you get it 2 to 3 secs. And a lot have to be redone over and over to get one you can use . THEN THEY LIMIT YOU TO HOW MANY 2 sec clips you get. Crappy work and a limit. WHAT A SCAM

First for you the reader who wants this app. YES it’s AMAZING, this is by far the most underrated app EVER! I swear to you I wasn’t paid by the developers. I’ve seen other programs that are PROFESSIONAL ART & VIDEO GENERATORS and they are nothing compared to this thing. Also a note for the developers: I have accidentally generated completely topless. This is cool tech that kids will try this. Please fix this. This app can be brought to ruin from creep using this program to make AI generated NSFW explicit content. Please FIX!

Reference image could be changeable?. Could we Have the ability to change references images with different colors or objects would be incredibly useful, especially for professionals like interior designers who need to visualize different design options for their clients. With this feature, they could easily experiment with various furniture styles, color schemes, and decor options to find the perfect combination that suits their clients' preferences and enhances the space. This could streamline the design process, save time, and ultimately lead to more satisfied clients. It would definitely be a valuable addition to any design tool or program!

This app doesn’t work. Why in the world is this app a thing? This app does not work like what is happening right now I am so annoyed. Why do I have to pay money in order for this app not to generate anything? I could’ve stayed at the free mark. Your Not even close to being called AI. What good is an AI generator that’s main feature is to replace the existing people with mysterious pictures of others. It does do some cool things but when my face is changed out with someone else’s. That definitely defeats the whole point. And that’s a PROGRAMMING thing. Moreover, who are these other people? Did you get consent to use their faces? Did you take my picture and make it public. I don’t give consent. Hope you fix that soon and best of luck with development. Overall could be 3-4 star but you have to teach your AI that the point is to use the faces in the sample photos

So far so great. It’s really pretty accurate. I am trying to voice direct the image I want and it seems very intuitive. I keep having it regenerate and it does seem to get closer to the exact image I want most of the time.

Can we bring back the old version?. This was my favorite app until realistic, became premium and anime and another thing is when I reinstalled the app I generated one image and I had to buy premium to make more and I don’t have enough money for that I would just like to bring back the old version

Your time and money are better spent elsewhere. The app is inadequate. Poor quality content. Having worked with comparable apps and software I would say your time and money are better spent somewhere else. If the poor quality content is not enough to detour you, you should know the support is basically nonexistent unless you are satisfied with receiving the same scripted email response regardless what your inquiry may be.

Amazing. I love the fact you arent forced to buy a subscription but can continue to use it just by watching ads! It helpe alot cause i dont have money at the moment but when i do I’ll definitely buy.

Presided photo frame. Much too limited, always crops photos. I want something that will speed me up and improve productivity, not waste hours because a round photo won’t fit in the square picture frame. Genie is spectacular though! 5* there. I have been using both Genie and Chat GPT on a regular basis and they both have there advantages. I’m not sure how much more I need to say, I guess fix the problem with image upload size

So far I’m unhappy with Apple and this company I’m still happy months later. I lost my money on this app $20. What a rip off that does not work and I did reach out to the developers and the solution is not working. The app is bad. This app is used to track your activity and they use that activity for advertisers third-partly. This should be legal for an app that you actually paid for. I’m in the process of trying to get a refund for this app because it’s intrusive and should be legal to sell on the Apple market.

Nice app, room for improvement. Feature requests: - support running generations without keeping app in foreground. Generations are run off-device so there's no reason not to offer this (particularly for users on paid plans) - more aspect ratios, especially non-portrait. 16:9 (landscape) isn't an option! 🤷🏻‍♂️ - surface more generation options in 'advanced' area. Support negative prompts at least. Steps, CFG scale, and the ability to use other models would be great also.

“Art not created!” And video limits. I’ve used roughly 20 different prompts, all varying in specificity. Every single time it says “Art not created!”. I’ve used different styles as well to see if that was the problem. The video generator only allows about 3 generators, which if you get hit with the “Art not created!” message, it takes one away. I genuinely feel like I was robbed $7. I’ll have to get my refund via Apple because this is legitimately a scam in the early stages. I would highly look into other developers before making this decision.

LIES ON LIES DO NOT BUT. A TikTok creater made a video of gummy worms sliding on ice with a rock to, this app uses that video saying it’s AI generated and adding a small prompt “Gummy worms sliding on frozen lake” or something like that. And they say they are using “Sora AI” witch is not even out to the public yet. Multiple lies across multiple platforms. And this is called Defamation to the creator who made that video. They can possibly request legal action to take place in the court of law since it ruins their reputation of “THEIR” work. And you should really check the comments on those adds, you are not fooling the new generation with straight up false information. Otherwise the app works great in my opinion! NOT CONNECTED TO SORA OR OPEN AI!!!!!!

Reference phots option doesn’t work. The option of adding a reference photo is completely useless….Ive tried 10-12 different times and the generated image has not one bit of anything that comes from the added photo…..the other renderings are fairly mediocre, I’ve not seen anything that even compares to other AI generators…..I regret spending the money to subscribe for a year….after a couple days I’ll probably never use it again

Why can’t I cancel this subscription?. The app does not allow you to cancel the subscription. When you select the “cancel” option, it takes you to some options that you can choose from. Once you select the reason you’d like to cancel, you are met with a 2 minute beg for money ad. After that you are pushed back to a Help page, which completely ignores your request to cancel the subscription. I want to cancel this subscription. The app is not very good.

Disappointed!!. I recently tried out Monet and was thoroughly disappointed with the overall experience. Bring back the short videos. Bring back short videos but in the quality it was 6 months ago

Summary of Pros and Cons. Monet lets you generate as many images as you want, whereas some programs put a limit on it as a function of time. Realistic. Very detailed. Can do celebrities well. Has a tough time with fingers and legs though. Had a few images with 6-7 fingers and more than one 3-legged girl or a girl with a foot shaped like a shoe. Struggles with chess themes (odd pieces, absurd positions etc.)

Caveat emptor. This app used to be alright to use. It used to take a bit or trial and error but you could eventually get images you wanted. It used to also upgrade the photos to HD relatively quickly. Now? With the most recent updates this app has become trash. It's all but impossible to generate an image that's better than a 3 year old chimp with finger paints. You want an HD photo? That's going to now take you between 5 and 15 minutes to generate. What trash. I've canceled my subscription.

Feature. Need an option to delete the entire history instead of one at a time or were you can select the ones you want to delete

Request select option. The app is amazing and highly recommend. However, I find managing images a bit tedious. If a feature could be added allowing users to select multiple images for deletion or saving at once. Would greatly enhance usability. Thanks!

Monet. Monet is so much easier to use in the other genitive AI software that requires you to use Discord. Great results There are some issues with people in the background or someone close to the main subject. They look distorted. I love working with Monet! Very exciting!

Great job on this! Very impressed!. What can I say? This is pretty much everything that I can ask for in an image generator with artificial intelligence. I opted in for the year subscription and have already generated quite a few images. This app excels in many ways, but there are certain aspects that evoke a cringe-worthy reaction in me. The things that I really like are the many different options in styles that you can choose from and the fact that this app doesn’t really tone down gore, or any kind of depictions of violence, which is beneficial to me because I seek realism in my work. I appreciate the quick generation of four images simultaneously. As far as the things that really annoy me, I don’t like the fact that it always select the option to show the watermark. I get the fact that you want to advertise this app in any which way you can, but is there anyway that we can have the option to turn this off completely completely? We paid for the full year subscription, so it's frustrating to continuously have to deselect that option by clicking the box. Add more styles! Enhance the image generator! Give us an option for more explicit image generation! Cheers! 🙂

Using a reference photo for the beginning of a video. I see you can use a reference photo to change a photograph however, it doesn’t seem to be an option for creating a video. I have one frame of a potential scene. I would like to take that frame and use it as a starting point for the continuation of a video it would be a huge improvement to allow a starting point based on an image for an AI generated video clip. Do not buy. Absolutely terrible app, “unlimited” still limits how often you can make videos, and the AI doesn’t even come close to making what you put in the prompt. Paid for the yearly subscription (regretfully) and after some time I realized how useless it was so I tried cancelling my subscription, only for the app to glitch and not allow me to cancel. Had to cancel through Apple instead. Would not recommend this app

Extremely deceptive.. only 2 sec videos. There are many apps out there that are hundred times better, This app only allows you 2 second videos (not any longer) unlike all the videos you see in the advertisement, the quality of videos are terrible, it’s understanding of the prompt you put in is very limited and it does not take into affect multiple keywords. For instance, you ask for a planet with three moons it will give you a landscape and put bunch of moons in there or if you ask for a frozen river, running through a snowy landscape. It will give you a snow snowy landscape, but no frozen river as I said extremely limited are free video generators out there that do much better job.

I’m enjoying the video option … but …. The text-to-video generated with this app is the best I’ve seen! I have a request though. All videos rendered are just under 3 seconds. Is it possible to create longer segments (30-60 seconds?) If this is already a feature, would it be possible to get a help file or tutorial for the app?

It appears they removed the animated video portion of their app.. I really dont understand why they would remove features from the app, ive been paying for pro for almost a year and didnt see any problems with it. Its an otherwise decent image generator

Scammers app. This app charged me $75 for yearly when I chose for 3 days trial. I tried to contact support I couldn’t and links to cancel don’t work. Users beware. Apple should take this app of the platform. Very unhappy customer.

A must-get. I don’t understand why people think this app is rubbish, but really my experience was awesome. Without the subscription it could literally just generate it. Like it’s sooo accurate. I did a Bugatti Chiron a kid driving it! Like no joke. It’s worth it.

The funko pops. The generating is good it’s just that the only thing is it’s not always what I want and when I ask them to generate a Funko pop of Taylor Swift, it was not very realistic it look like paper.

Nothing works on this app. None of the input prompts are considered in the output. Every render is completely arbitrary and is therefore useless to the user.

Are you insane.. The first thing the app did when I open it was ask for a rating. I JUST opened it and haven’t used it. Instant 1 star. Garbage. Also “AI” generated stuff sucks.

Duplicate (double) billing. As per May 2, the weekly subscription renewal for 9.99 was billed twice. I requested a refund to Apple to the duplicate transaction and cancel de subscription. Flaw recurrent billing’s are dangerous because you can be billed for a big amount. Fix it.

Not Sora. This description is misleading and the capabilities of this app is nowhere close to Sora

Graffiti option. Anytime I type a graffiti artist’s handle, let’s say ‘evol’ for example. All it generates is the same four letters that are in the wrong order. Is this normal or do you guys have some bugs

Don’t get this app it’s a scam. I tried it for a little while this morning. I wasn’t satisfied with it and I know I won’t use it so I tried to cancel my subscription- which, according to the T&C I carefully read I can do any time up until 1 day before the next billing cycle. Instead of cancelling my subscription I was forced to make a request for a support ticket, offered half price for a year at $24.95 and received an email that a support representative will contact me with a personal response within 48-72 hours. I don’t want a personal response! I don’t want a support ticket, I don’t want to hear from a support representative. I WANT TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. Imagine I waited until 1 day before my next billing cycle and then tried to cancel, and was given this forced support message saying someone will contact me within 3 days- now I’d be stuck paying for another week or another whole year of this app I don’t want! This is not acceptable. This reeks of scam. I do not “request” to cancel my subscription, I demand to do so, as per my consumer rights and the terms and conditions clearly set out by this app. Furthermore the T&C mentioned a trial period - no trial period was offered to me. I don’t want this app, I don’t want to pay for it, I want it gone immediately.

Don’t get it. Ok I show it a prompt like show me a car, and it shows me your airplane?!? LIKE WHAT?!!? I spin around five minutes and it’s trash. It gives me at every 10 seconds and it forces me to pay $10. for every image I make LIKE HUH do not get it is literally a waste of money and time🤮

Video generation. Create an option to create a character that can be used in multiple videos and/or to be used interacting with other characters

Extremely Disappointing. I acquired this program to make videos like that seen in ads for the product. The results are extremely disappointing, and they do not resemble the ads stylistically at all. Moreover, when I keep trying to improve them by tinkering with the prompts, I reach a video generation limit that prevents me from making anything at all. What I get is, “Try again later.” I strongly recommend that people do not make the same mistake I did. Stay away.

It doesn’t work. I bought the app and I was trying to follow the steps to receive a fine arts as they said. But the app can’t create any photo even when I use what they suggest as ( an old elephant….) the app can’t create this. I’m asking to refund my money back without any reply or refund process

Are we supposed to buy without trying?. I can’t get a picture done. There’s an ad for the subscription that I cant get past. A week long trial wouldn’t hurt. Why ask for ratings on things we can’t rate?

It’s not accurate with your prompt.. I’m having a really hard time prompting it to create twelve people at a time. Not sure why it doesn’t understand the number difference.

WHY. OK so I was excited to go on the app but then when I tried to put in my prompt it literally asked me to like buy the free trial who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea to use a free trial in the create button it is absurd dumb and super for not cool PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!

Absolutely trash. Now don’t get me wrong the ai generat ed art is cool but you can’t even use the app at all until you buy premium if you try to create anything it sends you to the premium purchase area. Also there’s literally a free server on discord where you can do this and more for FREE

No matter what I type in, it doesn’t work.. Even the recommended prompts it gives, just says Art not created! You can try again or update information.

Bad in my opinion. Listen I understand you have to make money but I’m not paying just to use this thing I can’t even have it generate artwork like its supposed too without it wanting me to use pro and I don’t remember how much money it wants me to pay but I’m not going to just to use it absolutely not

Not good ads too. Bad! My oc Elijah was completely wrong I explained him in perfect detail but it turned out completely different. There were ads every time I generated a character and it wouldn’t let me regenerate.

Trash. Do not waste your money on this app. I did the free trial and it charged me the second I accepted so I never got a “free trial” images look like a 5 year old child drew them. I’m so upset I wasted my time and money on this awful app.

Customer Support Disappoints. I had a simple question about price plans and received an underwhelming response from customer support. I was told to click and read something that didn’t exist. Eye roll

Not very good. And all of that, as it shows extremely detailed, super cool art. But when you ask it to do some thing, it doesn’t really do what you asked it. Also, you only get a couple tries doing something free and then you have to pay to keep using it. Very misleading.

Really good. It’s really fun and I use it for inspiration on creative projects, but I wanna know why it refuses to make art of homiesexual in the style of Salvador dahli. This is truly a travesty and removes a full star from my review.

Where are the original models?. A couple days ago I had a choice of Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, or Dalle models. Now I don’t know what model I’m using. Please explain the new arrangement. I paid, primarily, for access to Midjourney.

Doesn’t work. I’ve attempted numerous pictures with different combinations and not a single one worked. Even the ideas they provide don’t work. Asking for my $30.

Maybe good if you choose the right options. 5 out of the 7 pics I tried to make. I’d never share with anyone. Major portions were distorted and that’s not an option I chose.

Scam. Downloaded this app for a variety of reasons but I only ever was able to create four ai art and then it insists on me paying for the per week or per year, and if that's the case this app is a copy of someone else's AI that they threw a watermark over and then put a paywall between it and the actual product.

Not saving. Photos aren’t saving to camera roll.
