Fontmaker - Font Keyboard App App Reviews

Okay. I like this app, but one problem.. I drew my own font, and it turned out really well. But, the problem is, I have to subscribe to be able to use the font itself. 20 dollars a month, are you serious?? That's ridiculous. For one font. Please let people use their own fonts that they worked hard to make without making them pay 240 dollars a year. At least do that or make it to where you spend like three dollars a month. At least. It makes no sense to make it that expensive for one little font. I have to copy and paste it, but then the subscription page pops up. Please fix this, because I really like the font I made but I can't use it.

I love this app so much. I love this app because I can actually do my own handwriting it’s not like there’s other apps that make the perfect but it’s not like the thing that comes with the iPhone iPad or Samsung or any type of device it’s your handwriting so it’s basically expressing you and how you write it’s not like the fancy-schmancy handwriting or text that you’re iPhone you know any device it’s your handwriting so what expresses you but I love it so much So thank you thank you thank you thank you for making this app ever made it I love you I love you I love you I love you love Kai

Read Before Enabling…. This app seemed pretty cool until I got to the section where you had to enable things to allow “FontMaker” to access your keyboard. Everything seemed alright until I got to the part where you had to enable “Full Access” in your settings—in your keyboard area. This might not seem like a problem but, when you enable this to “FontMaker” you are allowing them to write down or share your address, bank information, security information, and more if you type it. It doesn’t even need to be in your personal handwriting font, it could be in the automated version font(that I am typing in). If this is a big deal please research more, if it is not enjoy the app! One more thing: They (the app creators) may tell you this is for autocorrect or that it is a MUST. But it is NOT!

Waste of time. Don’t download this app it’s a waste of time why I will explain so I spent like half an hour making my font and I was really exited but then when I was finished I tried to use it the dumb app wanted me to pay a subscription to use my font and then I was like give me 30 minutes of my life back what’s the point of spending half an hour making a font but then you realize you have to pay a dumb subscription so I tell the developers just make the app cost like idk 2 dollars or something and its a scam don’t download this app and don’t trust that first review it’s clearly a developer saying how good the app is don’t download it it’s a scam Idk why I wrote this review knowing the developers are going to write a response saying something like Thanks for your review we will consider opinion cuz it’s the same response from the developers so I think it’s just a robot sending the same response every time someone writes a review

Could barely rate. Plz read.. This is trash. We should never have to give personal information to apps we randomly found this is very unsafe please read this so you know the consequences of getting this. Once you get the app you will click continue once you do that it says enable notifications so you say yes or no, after that it will give you the chance to get premium, after then it says to enable keyboard ⌨️ so you go into settings and go to keyboard and click fonts, it wants full access to enable the app so then read what it says VERY CAREFULLY and you will see why this app is unsafe. Also why does it say: stay safe when it is completely the opposite aka unsafe? This app just is, ahh so annoying 🤬🙄😑🤮 this app would not be here and and umm 😕 all they want is your money 🤑[̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ιοο̲̅)̲̅$̲̅] so please please 🙏 don't trust this app I'm begging you. Kinda lieing…. So the app it’s self is pretty good unless you count that YOU CANT EVEN MESSAGE PEOPLE WITH THE FONT WITHOUT PAYING. If that was hard to understand than basically you make a font that is very fun to do unless you count that THERE IS AN ADD EVERY 3 LETTERS YOU DO. But after you finish it then you go to a place that lets you type it but that is literally all that you can type with so you can’t even send messages without paying for a trial. Overall I would don’t buy this app if you want to create a font for free. But if you are will to pay (which in my opinion is kinda a lot) for a custom font then this is a great app for that. Yes I am supposed to be getting ready but instead I did this.

can’t even work this thing. This is a good app in general, and for those of you who are saying I HAVE TO PAY A SUBSCRIPTION THERES an x button on the top right, but I did it but it was too hard to copy and paste stuff on there like way too hard, I couldn’t even see what I was typing and I I don’t understand why you have to copy and paste, I might try it on my iPad but I might not because I literally spent an hour trying to figure it out, if your gonna try this try it on your iPad idk if that works but it might idk but I might download a different one and next time I’m gonna check the reviews :(

It’s meh. This app is sort of good. There’s way too many adds. Every time I open the app and click on something an add pops up. It’s so annoying and too much. And I love my hand writing as a font and I wish I could use it in messages and texting. Please find a way to do that it would make the app much more enjoyable. I recommended the app to multiple friends already and they said they really liked it but were also disappointed that they couldn’t use it in texting. Please find a way to have less ads and make it available in messages. Please make the changes if possible. Thanks, Your friend 💚

Don’t buy, 5 stars is so people find this.. You see, I made a font with this, and when I tried to use it it didn’t work and when I tried it get rid of the watermark it said I needed a subscription, which I understand, but when I read through, you need to have a subscription to send the font, and that’s ridiculous, they would hide that until the very end when you spent 5-10 minutes making it. It’s a scam and a waste of time.

It’s OK but. I only put five stars because I wanted this to be top comment for everyone to see this App is actually really bad! I would not to get this game it says it is free but only for like the first week then it will make you pay five dollars every week after and it is really hard to do all the stuff and if you’re willing to pay five dollars every week for it then you can but should not. once you get the game you have to go into settings and do a whole bunch of stuff before you can do anything this is a bad app you should not get it

Literally Doesn’t Work. I’d give zero stars if a could, the app literally does not work. You watch a 30 second ad every 4 letters or so when making your font, which isn’t a big deal, but the frequency is a bit annoying. Then you’re finally done, you go to an app to type and the new keyboard is there! But, you have to type into a separate text box and copy paste into the normal text box. Except when you hit “copy” it opens the font app to watch another ad and when the ad is done… the app didn’t actually copy anything. When you paste nothing happens. I watched 4 “copy” ads in a row to verify that it doesn’t not copy and has nothing to paste. This app does not work, don’t bother with it!

Honest Overview. Um I guess this is me testing out my handwriting as a font I don’t really know how I feel about it, actually I do it looks inconsistent and nothing like me actual handwriting. It looks sloppy and since I had to do it on my phone it makes it that much worse. Also to actually be able to copy and paste your message you have to subscribe to a free trial. As well as the app just has some overall bugs. It’s made okay , but I honestly feel like it’s a complete waste of money . It also looks incredibly tacky. The overall idea for an app like this was very interesting and unique so I’ll give them credit for that. But yeah you should just not get this app endless your okay with dealing with any of that 🙂

About ifonts. Hi I just wanted to say that my fonts are wonderful and you can have your letters in your own writing! This app has changed my life and I’m on a whole different chapter with my font! Actually, pretty good... Okay so when u was looking at the reviews. It has seem to be going downhill. However, when I was playing. The free trail advertisement seems to have an “ X” so yes, you will see this but you can always decline. Also, they are not kidding you. You can actually make your own font with your own style. Cursive, sloppy. Really anything really. But, the part that I do not get. Is having to talk with this font. But that really isn’t an issue for me. However what I have been noticing is how the reviews have been saying in this game. Do not worry. This game doesn’t seem to have issues. It could also have been updates. Bugs. I can’t see that in this game. So for me this game is perfectly fine and not lying. yes, I did write this paragraph.

Good to bad. So it was amazing at first when I could make my own font. When I tested it, it looked cute! But then I press copy to send a message in that font. Then it makes me go back to the game and says something about a 3-day trial for free and stuff like that. And I pressed “OK” and it says I need to put in the apple id. Well, my parents don’t tell me the passwords, because I would just download whatever game I want. I didn’t even know the apple id. What’s the point of making a font if you can’t use it? And the next few days the app would probably rip you off and you would not be able to cancel the offer. I immediately deleted the app and I gave it 1 star because the app is a rip off. (and there are adds once in a while)

Ehhhh. This app is not that good in my opinion, it requires you to watch an ad when you write only 3 letters, but if you can watch an ad every 20 seconds, this app is for you. I’m giving it a three star because I couldn’t watch an ad every 20 seconds, and I didn’t finish the letters. So I don’t know if this works or not.( plus, the ads were either scams for robux or one of those weird chat ads). So if you’re like me and don’t want to watch ads every 20 seconds (please fix that developer) then go to settings and look up fonts, that’s how I changed my fonts

I really like it. I like it because it is super useful and let you put your own writing. The only thing that I don’t like is that for every like letter like for every four letters, it gives you an ad and like I don’t like that because I don’t get to do all the letters in like 10 min it takes me a hole day for letters in the attic 10 98 minutes and like you take a lot of time doing these letters and you have to do uppercase and lowercase and I did what I think of this app. Thank you bye🧸🧋🫖🌷🎀🌸

The heck. Literally it’s been 2 years the last time someone wrote a hate comment and I’m one of them. I wanna use my new font but I can’t because it requires you to pay, listen unless you do something about this, no one will use your app, I swear I worked hard on my font only to be able to use it only in the app, I can’t keep sending photos because of my storage so if anyone is gonna use this app please read this or the one from 2 years. Almost every app that I’m interested in wants you to pay a lot of money and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t have enough money for these kind of things. WORK ON THE APP! I AM NOT GONNA WATCH 50 ADDS AGAIN JUST TO DO THE WHOLE KEYBOARD, YOU EVEN ASK FOR FULL ACCESS, IM DELETING THIS APP AFTER THIS REVIEW, I hope you don’t fall for the trap.

good review. you might think at the beginning if it’s really true and you get to write your own fault it is really true and also I love this app because I got to show it to my friends and I will get to show it off to my family and I can show it off and give them the app and give them more tips and honestly if you really like to show off your writing, but but you don’t want to it on a piece of paper then download this app. It’s the right app for you. Download it now and see how much fun it can be.😁

Nice app, a couple small suggestions. First, I want to say that this is a really cool app. People are saying that you are required to make in app purchases, however that is not true. For anyone who believes that, just know that there is an X in the corner, so you do not have to buy Premium. I love how you can create a font in your very own handwriting with this app and use it in places like Messages, as well as Snapchat. The reason I rated this app 4 stars instead of 5 though is because I wish that you could create multiple fonts. A lot of other font creating apps have this feature, and I think that it would be a great add on. My other suggestion is that the keyboard should be a little bigger. It is somewhat difficult to use because of how small the buttons are, and I frequently press the wrong one. But other than those two things, it is a great app! Thank you for reading!

I love making my own writing it is so much fun because I can get creative in anyway I would like me and my friends enjoy making a bunch of different fonts to see who can make the best one I can make so many different fonts that can describe how I’m feeling it feels like I get to write my own messages which I do which is so cool so I think that you should get this app and you should rated five stars - Naomi Hall

Really?. I downloaded this, spent like 5 minutes making the font, and now you tell me it costs money? I think this app is a complete scam because you have to pay five dollars a week to use it and that's pricey considering that it is just a font. I have this app that doesn't require you to pay money and I can do stuff like ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ an. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and ಠ_ಠ and even different stuff lik. 𓆉 and ☻︎. I am very disappointed in this map because the only thing that costs in the other app is that you can actually customize the keyboard it's self which I think it's a good deal but since you have to pay money to use the FONT is very stupid. Complete waste of your time. I was excited at first because I could really make my own font but then when it came to the end I was disgusted with disappointment because you had to PAY to use the actual font and it doesn’t even have it on your keyboard, you have to copy the font you made then paste it which is a complete disappointment. This was a complete waste of my time and I have no idea why they would make something like this then make it cost money. I would not recommend downloading this just for your own font. It a complete waste of money and your time. I would give this 0 stars if I could and the developers are COMPLETE BOTS. All they respond is “thanks for downloading” as if we give a complete poo.

Waste of (a lot of) your time. To keep it short, this app is a huge waste of time. I spent about 45 minutes trying to perfect the emojis and since this thing gives you an ad for almost everything you do then I watched probably 5 of the same ads just over and over again. When I was done doing the emojis I finally texted someone and it was garbage. You type into a small box on an already small keyboard and then you copy the thing you typed in and paste it like an image. I thought it would at least be able to go with the background but of course it didn’t. I had successfully wasted that very long hour of my life and I can never get it back. (Suggestions to devs of this app: If you could make it actual text instead of an image then that would be better and also if we didn’t have to take that lengthy process then it would be so much better. Maybe take away the emojis or some of the special characters.)

the idea is cool at least..?. im.. not satisfied at all. the reason i downloaded this app was because i found making your own font interesting and using it even more so. and it is. however, as soon as i opened the app, i was met with an ad for premium and a request for a rating. i dont mind that, since thats what most apps do anyway. but after i spent a good ten minutes trying to make a font, i kept getting annoyed with the drawing thing. it doesnt register very well and doesnt look very good... which is fine, but if im gonna pay money, at least make it worth it. not only that, but after i finished, THEN i was told i needed to get premium to use it. which isnt even worth it in my opinion. extra star for effort and idea, but thats it.

Don't waste your time. First, it takes forever to make the font, as there's an ad every 5 characters you write. Second, when you write in the app and press copy, it copies a picture of the text instead of the actual words. Third, when you write in another app, you have to copy the message. It won't just let you send a text using the font. Fourth, when you copy and paste the font, at least for me, it pastes the text in the normal font instead of the one you made. Fifth, the fact that premium is $7 a week is absolutely insane and not worth it. It should be $5 a month at most, but it's about $21 a month if you pay every week. In short, it's a horrible app and you shouldn't waste your time or money on it.

Don’t make the same mistake I did…. So this game it really dose not have anything wrong with it, except the fact that you have to pay for the font to do on your phone/iPad and there are lots of adds I was trying to go from my messages to the app and 2 or 3 different adds popped up on my screen and I was mad because I was trying to do the game without having to pay but it did not work it works in other games where you just press the x at the top of the screen and it goes away but not this app…😔If this did not happen I would love this game so much but you have to pay for it and that’s no fun… (Thank you for your time have a good day😊)

Sorry, but this is so Ridiculous. This app was pretty cool at first. I was supper supper excited cause I’d been wanting something like this, and where I could send my friends pretty text messages with my cursive handwritten letters. I had written all of my lower case, upper case, numbers, and all the other stuff. I made my letters look so pretty in cursive. I was so excited to send my pretty handwritten text to my friend, but then it told me I had to buy the premium!! I did all that work and took all that time just for NOTHING! I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous. If your gonna make people pay money for handwritten text messages and do all that work just to find out that they have to pay money, you should at least put a warning or a message before they get started that says that you can’t send the text unless you buy the premium. It would be a great app if you didn’t have to pay money. Sorry, it just really got my hopes up. 😔

Read this right now it's the only true review!!!!!. ok so first i looked at the reviews and they were all like super super bad and i wanted to see what it was abt so i downloaded it and i created my own font and stuff. then they have this thing where u can test ur font out so i did. then, when u try to actually type in ur font on like text, u have to pay. so the whole font making is free, but using it costs money. eh. it's a little upsetting but i was just bored so i downloaded so not too mad abt it. but if u r someone who wants to get thai app to actually text to someone in ur handwriting for free, this app isn't for u. have a good day everyone!!!

Read before buying. Ok it’s a great app! I can see how this is very fun and u can express yourself! But there is just one problem.. why do u have to pay? Why do u have to pay just to message people with ur font I just don’t get it! I have tried a couple of the apps but they said u have to pay! I had high hopes that’s this one would not have u to pay but it isn’t. I think it’s ridiculous that u have to pay just for a font. Pls make an font app where u dont have to pay ok. Don’t waste ur time on this. I wanted to make something pretty for my family and friends and I had to pay! I am unsatisfied because that is pointless. Do not recommend. I got this because I saw it online and couldn’t find the exact app the video used so I got this one and it was ok until the adds started. Every like 3 letters/ numbers/ special characters it gave me an add and it was always the same two adds. It was annoying but I hoped it would be worth it. When I got to the special characters the add just stopped loading so the app wouldn’t let me continue. It wasn’t my internet because all my other apps adds worked fine. It wouldn’t let me continue to use in in my message because I hadn’t finished it but it wouldn’t let me continue because the adds wouldn’t work. So in conclusion if you want one that I replaced this one with it’s also called font maker and the logo is a uppercase and lowercase kind of cursive black a and the back drop is light pink. I really like that app it has much more then just custom handwritten fonts it has really cool fonts and I really like that app. Much better then this one.

Okay but where are the 5 star reviews that make this product have an average of 3.6 stars?. I’m with the people. $5/week? Like that’s pricey. And I don’t see where they have people saying they gave them 5 stars. Like I clicked through every filter; “most favorable” had all one star review and I saw not one 5 star. How fake! This is a cool concept and all but $5 is stupid and greedy. They could make so much money by lowering the price and maybe something monthly? I’d give them $.99 a month. I think a lot of people would pay for that and they could make a lot of money. Maybe I’ll design my own app with this concept and take everyone who were set off by this overpriced product 👀. I could be a millionaire. The makers of this app keep saying under people’s reviews that they are thankful for the feedback but are they actually going to listen to anyone? Deleting this app immediately and making my own

Beautiful Fonts, impossible to utilize. I went through the long process of setting this up (with adds after every fourth character), then when I was done there was no way to implement it, even after activating the free-trial. The font is amazing, and I love it. I’d love to buy it, in fact, BUT there’s no way to put it into texts, or anything else. I enabled everything, long-pressed the globe button and selected Fontmaker keyboard, but then the words are typed behind the keyboard somehow. I can’t see what I’m typing NOR can I select anything to copy and paste. Sad. I really liked the potential this had. I was excited.

Waste of time. It requires you to pay to use the font. It is a keyboard you add into your phone, then you type on their oddly small keyboard, then you copy from the window you type in, and finally you paste it into the actual text area and get the font. Taking the time to write the font is not bad, but the fact that you literally can not use it is what makes it pointless. Save yourself the time and energy. After 4+ years in the App Store you would think they would know better than to charge $5 a week or $20 a month just for a font. I have also read a lot of the comments and reviews, they just say ‘Thanks for downloading the app and we will take your opinion into consideration’ If I could leave zero stars I would. Completely pointless, useless and the developers obviously do not care about our opinions because in over four years they have not been able to manage an improvement. Whether that improvement is the cost to use the app, the ability to use it free by running ads, or literally anything of that nature. Zero stars. None. They do not deserve a single one, but I can’t leave a review without at least one. Sadly the developers do not care, so I am not sure why I am still writing this review. Maybe in the hope that someone will read it and not waste their time on this company useless app.

Font maker. It’s an OK app. It’s just annoying how you have to use the premium to be able to send a message like the whole point of it is that way you’re able to send a message I just feel like it’s like not fun for people and they’re gonna get rid of the app if you like keep it for premium and then you’re not gonna get that much money and yeah, so like please make it just like not premium and also it’s like really annoying because sometimes the ads like you’re just like making it and then the ads come in the way, you’re making your lives and then there’s like oh yeah you have to use an ad to check this off like should at least do that every like like the ones that usually give us at least five so at least 15 if you wanna keep your up OK yeah that’s my review

Not worth it, I’m sorry.. So I found out about this app from an ad I saw about it, and I thought that this would be so cool! So sure enough, I downloaded it, and I will admit that it was fun to make the fonts and draw them out. Next I tested my font in the area where you could mess with it, and it looked awesome. But when I downloaded the app onto my keyboard, I tried in multiple apps to copy and paste it to send a message or write something with the font, and I realized that it was a total ripoff. I literally had to pay money to use a font! Don’t get the app. I don’t mean to offend the company who made this, but I think that you should for sure not make it so that you have to pay money to use it. Thanks for hearing me out.

So got it and deleted it right away. Sooo…….. I got this app and was like OH I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE MY OWN FONT!! And then, right after I got it, it was ambushing me with ads. So many ads. Each of them were like 1 minute long so I was sitting there for like 5 minutes waiting for the ads to be over. And when they finally did, my screen froze up and would let me exit out of anything. When I just restarted my phone, it kept glitching really bad, but it has never ever done that before. It is an iPhone 13 and it is always up to date and has a bunch of free storage. So this app ruined my phone and then after I deleted it it started working. DO NOT GET THIS APP I AM BEGGING IT COSTS SO MUCH FOR “ PREMIUM” AND ADS ARE AWFUL AND IT RUINES YOUR PHONE

Disappointing. I thought this was the amazing app that I always wanted, free, fun, cool. Well, it was too good to be true. I start making my font. I do the lowercase, no problem. The. I get to the capitals… I make them all and hit save. It says error, I come back later hit the save button, again, error. So I close the page and have to start my capitals again… 1 hour later I finish my font! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, then. Disaster strikes. All my letters are streaky. Great, I am left with an almost illegible font. After an hour and a half sitting at my iPad writing. So if I spent so much time on it, I might as well try using it and send my friend a message… NOPE!!! You have to pay to use the font… wow… don’t download this app, don’t support these people.

The devs do not care. Ok, FIVE/TWENTY DOLLARS????? For A FONT??!??!?!!!!?? Also, the devs really don’t care about your reviews, so don’t waste your time like I did writing a review unless you really want the app to be rated worse. In my opinion, if you are looking for a font keyboard, just download the “fonts” app. All the devs do is say, “thanks for downloading our [stupid font app that can only be cool if you pay 5 dollars a week or 20 dollars a month] app Fontmaker! We will take into consideration what you said! I like the app, and it has potential, but it’s already been 4 years and nothing has changed [I haven’t had the app that long, I just read another review on this app that said the app has been on the App Store for 4 years]

Can’t use unless you pay. I was going to leave a good review but then when i went to use it you had to buy the premium to use it and you would think that between all the adds while designing your font they would Make money but nope they still want to make you pay premium. But if you’re wanting to pay it’s alright but it does take sometime to make the font because of the adds like every five letters/characters and it doesn’t necessarily make a new key board there’s a bar up onto of your key board that you type it onto and then you paste it onto whatever your typing on . So for me it was a waste of time and kind of disappointing but for others that want to and can afford it it’s alright

Not the best or the worst. So based off the other reviews I thought it was going to be pretty bad but I decided to try it. The first thing it asked me was if I wanted premium which everyone’s upset about saying it forced you but you can just hit the “x”. I made the lowercase font but after a couple letter it told me to watch an ad to continue and it told me to do it about every 10 letters. I finished the all the letters and wanted to try it, it lets you try it at the end I thought it was super cool. I wanted to try it in my notes to make sure it works for other apps when I did do it in my notes it didn’t work. I wanted to be 100% that it didn’t work on other apps so I texted my friend and on my end and her end we did not have the font. (Sorry if some of this is a bit wordy or confusing)

Not Useful At All. First of all, the $5 a week mandatory subscription is a complete scam. That’s $20 a month for 1, yes ONE Font. You can’t have more than one at any given time, so to make a new one you need to get rid of your old one. Secondly, it’s not even a real keyboard for your device. It makes you copy and paste an IMAGE to wherever you want to send your message. Lastly, to make this app actually worthwhile I suggest; 1. Adding the ability to make more than one font; 2. Making the keyboard function actually work like a keyboard (other apps have done it); 3. Changing the pricing. (Maybe make the first font free and then charge .99$ for the second? Or a MONTHLY payment (not $20); 4. Add a gallery feature. It would be very useful to search for fonts made by other people (maybe someone wouldn’t want to make their own, or can’t)

Don’t download-. This app is useless to download and serves no real purpose. It gives you MANY warnings before downloading saying that it can look at previous texts and scan the data, like an address. It was an overall pain to download and was kinda creepy too considering that now I’m being tracked and listened to. The other reason I don’t recommend this app is because you create a font and that’s it, you don’t even get to use it unless you pay a ridiculous fee of 5 dollars a week and 35 dollars a month, just to use a font style. There are many safe and usable apps that can help create a desired font but this one is just not it. Don’t download this unless you want to be heavily dissatisfied.

*Audibly sighs*. Useless. Genuinely. I got through the letter alphabet, and the numbers. About every 5 characters I wrote, an ad played. I just figured “whatever, I have time to kill anyway.” So with the ads, it took me almost 20 minutes to finish the letters and numbers. Which, again, I had accepted. I started to do the special characters section, and about halfway through, it stopped working. The ad wouldn’t load, but it wouldn’t let me move on without watching an ad. And of course, when I exited out, it deleted my progress. It’s like they’re completely compromising quality to make an extra buck on ads. I don’t usually do reviews on apps, but I figured everyone should know that downloading this app is a waste of time…

Don’t waste your time.. The idea to be able to write with your own handwriting through text is amazing. So first things first, when you enter the app there is a fee for premium, which you can press x and decline. Then it asks for notifications and full access before you begin to make your handwriting. Next when you finish all of your handwriting it asks for a review that you can decline. When you want to text with it it needs you to copy and paste your text when you copy, you need to buy premium. Even without premium copy and paste would be extremely annoying to do. Therefore you realize that you just wasted 10 minutes of your time making your own handwriting, getting pop ups for review and notifications when at the end of the day, you were going to delete it.

Awful (Read it all before you download). I started my experience and I downloaded it hoping that it would be just like the review said and super good. I downloaded it and I instantly got a notification telling me to pay money for the full experience. I thought nothing of it, and just kept doing what it told me. it told me to write all the lowercase letters uppercase letters numbers and special characters. I wrote them to the best of my ability and it took me a half hour. I finally get to the end and it shows me a preview of what my characters look like in the keyboard. I thought they were adorable so I went and I was going to text them to my friend when I figured it out….. you have to pay to actually use the app at all, you may make the font but you cannot use it, it’s awful, one of 10, do not recommend, just do not buy ever

Too many ads, and it doesn’t work! TERRIBLE WASTE OF TIME!. I got the app. I had this a long while ago, deleted it after a while since it didn’t entertain me, but there weren’t many ads and it worked. Today i decided to try again, it seemed like a fun idea. So i started making my font, writing each letter and hitting the little check to go to the next one. Like four letters in, the check turned into an ad button, and my only choice was to watch a 35 second (I’m not kidding) ad. After that it took me to the next letter, four more letters, boom. I had to watch another ad to keep going. I really wanted this font, so I clicked it, annoyed. It played the exact same two 35 second ads, then i clicked the x when it said “reward granted”. But I was still stuck on K, the letter it made me watch an ad to move away from. So I tried again. Annnd again. Same ads, still stuck on K. Eventually I gave up, and there was no other way to finish my font. In conclusion, please don’t get this app, it’ll waste your time and annoy you. If, amazingly, it works, is it really worth it (no)? There’s better font apps out there. Thanks for your time (ha-ha, the wasted time), a normal person

Too many ads!. I was very excited to by out this app. I spent 10 minutes trying to find keyboard section and it actually didn't load in until I reopened it. I opened the start and tried the font making. To be honest, it felt good. I did 5 letters and I got an ad. At that point I just gave up. Will be deleting this app, sorry it didn’t work for me.

Font maker. Okay, so this app has an awesome concept and it works well but there are lots of adds throughout the alphabet witch I don’t care about but… you can’t skip them until they are over completely even if they are super long unlike other apps.

6 dollars a WEEK??. When i was younger i wanted this app BADLY, so when i got older i got it, i took 10 minutes writing all the letters down because 3 or so letters you get an add. After i finished all the letters i got to this 3 step stuff and a “free trial” for only 3 days! And no way im begging my parents to pay 6 dollars a WEEK to change my keyboard. Atleast make it 6 to 8 dollars a month and more people will get the app. Total waste of time.

STUPID APP. This stupid app makes you have to pay 33 DOLLARS A WEEK to use YOUR OWN FONT! and I wasted ten ten minutes making it, getting to the keyboard, just for it to say, GET PREMIUM… you mean get the app? 33 dollars is a lot… EVERY WEEK. also the ads are every 3 minutes it is a waste of time. Also it is really hard to draw the letters. Like I have no eraser, if I worked for ten minutes to make a thing I like, then accidentally put a dot somewhere, I have to erase the WHOLE THING.

Too expensive and too many ads. I was looking for a font maker app and was excited when I saw this app for free, but then they wanted to make me pay. I was then excited to see I could just watch a few ads for it, but then I’d get halfway and then get an ad that would take forever to load, making me close the app. But when I got back in, it made me repeat the same process over and over again, with that same ad not loading.

Bad. Absolutely trash and a waste of time. Where do I start!! I spent so long writing down my font and there were so many long ads every few seconds or so. Then when I finally finished it took me back to the page where I need to pay or get a free trial. I read other reviews before writing down mine and the developer said they can’t make the app free unless they get retinue from ads. THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE LIE?? I encountered so many ads that were at least three minutes or so so how could the developer not make money? If you can’t pay for this app do not get it it’s not even worth the money.

Money grabber. I feel like paying for a font is so unnecessary. It just feels like a grab for your money and definitely is not worth it. My review on font maker. Font maker is a good app for me because I don’t like the normal basic letters that my phone has for messages. But the bad thing is that they make you watch a lot of ads just to make the lowercase alphabet.

Okay untill you had to PAY to use your font. I usually look at the reviews before I download anything but this time I forgot. I was really exited to use this app and spent over an hour drawing my letters and everything because annoying ads kept showing up every 3 letters I draw. Until after I FINALLY finish drawing I turn on the keyboard and try it…. And it dosn’t work because I do NOT want to PAY to use this maybe really nice font that I spent so much of my time on. Unless you want to pay, do not waste your time on this app.

It’s alright. This app is amazing but I just wish that the font writing would be free to actually send texts because I really want to be able to send messages on my own hand writing but I can’t because I don’t have the money I had a really fun time creating my handwriting but now I can’t do anything except do it again and I just wish that sending the text message would be free so everyone can do it without paying.

Too many ads and a bug. There’s a bug on the keyboard where I there’s no button to show special characters. There are also two globe icons instead of special characters. Drawing each character is very time consuming because there was an ad after every 3rd character 🤯. I had to watch a full unskippable 60 second ad just to continue drawing my characters. I deleted the app right away 🗑️

READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING. I downloaded fontmaker because it seemed interesting to get your font , i did lowercase first and everytime I did 3 letters I had to watch an add, once I finished I followed the instructions just before I let font maker get full access I read the warning, it said if you give font maker full access then they can see everything you type , from the past as well like your card accounts and everything, and in other apps when I do full access it dosent give me a warning so don’t risk it get a different font app

I’m only in this app there to relieve me stress～. What more can I say? It’s the sensation of doing the font making process over and over until I’m satisfied with my final work of all 26 letters. I could not ask for more than this.

Looks beautiful, but have to pay to use it :/. I got the app, super excited! And after spending and hour perfecting all the fonts, I was so happy with how it turned out in the playground area. I went to start using it in my digital planner, and I have to pay. :/ I was super annoyed and can’t even use my OWN handwriting. What’s the point of letting us use it there, but can’t paste it?! I may go onto other apps that will actually let me use my own writing.

I don’t want to be one of those people but…. I spent half an hour doing all the fonts, found it worked, got so excited, then realised I have to pay a stupid price just to send in my own hand writing. At that point you may as well take photos of paper you’ve written on and send that. I don’t want to be one of those people who leave bad reviews for personal reasons but this was a huge let down for me.

Did not add on to my keyboard. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m on an iPad but after writing everything down and finalising it I went into keyboard to my settings and when it said it was successfully added I wanted to show my friends so I was about to message them and I saw that it didn’t add and when I added another type of language onto my keyboard and that didn’t add NOT GOOD

Worst app ever to waste time. It is so annoying because you have to watch the same ads again and again so it can annoy you so much like you don’t even want to use the app and it doesn’t even work I tried to type something to my friend and it didn’t work like how it was meant to so don’t waste time getting the app but it does work for when you try it in the app so that’s the only cool part.

No, it’s s not free at all!. Could someone please explain to me: What use is an app that “presents” as free but has absolutely no use whatsoever unless one pays? Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues paying for a good app. What I object to is DECEITFUL TACTICS. Indicating in VERY SMALL PRINT that one can continue with limited access is DECEITFUL if this “access” does not include any use of the font apart from creating it. So you can draw your font for free, but not use it unless you pay. I was brought up to call such behaviour DECEIT.

Too much money.. I was so exited to create my own font. I spent a WHOLE hour making the writing exactly how I yearned. But when I saw the price my jaw dropped. WHAT PER WEEK?! I could find an app that charged less than that for a year. I was devastated, I had to delete all my hard work. You can’t use the font without paying. This app is really fun, if you decide to buy it, you spend all that time writing down your letters and when it finally comes to use it, you have to pay for it! This is really expensive too, $7 a week, I would not recommend this app if your not willing to pay $364 a year.

My honest opinion about “Font maker”. First of all I’d like to say that there’s way too many ads. I have to watch 5 just to do the alphabet in lowercase. Also you can’t even write with your handwriting of choice you need to pay $10 just to use the font. The ads are also repetitive making it pretty boring. Anyway if you enjoy watching the same ads repeatedly and doing fonts for fun then I guess this is the app for you but I wouldn’t recommend it. :)

Save yourself the time. Don’t download.. I was really excited to use this app at first. I got to making the letters but got an ad every five letters. I made around seventy characters in total and watched around fifty thirty second ads. I thought it was inconvenient but it’s fine, five minutes for unlimited uses and texting friends, right?? Nope. Worst app ever. When I got this I thought it would be good but I was wrong. I uninstalled this when I found out you have to pay $9.99 a week just for your own font. The ads are unbelievably unbearable. Cant use without premium. When you first open the app you’re presented with the option to try premium, which cost more than Netflix. There’s an x in the corner but I literally won’t let me click it. I cant even use the app for free. Again, it costs way more then Netflix, almost double a month

Worst app EVER. So,when I finished writing all my letters and then I tried on IMessage it send me to the app and tell me that I had to pay something that costs more that Netflix to only use to to WRITE. WORST APP EVER DONT FALL FOR THE ADS

Good to bad. So it was amazing at first when I could make my own font. When I tested it, it looked cute! But then I press copy to send a message in that font. Then it makes me go back to the game and says something about a 3-day trial for free and stuff like that. And I pressed “OK” and it says I need to put in the apple id. Well, my parents don’t tell me the passwords, because I would just download whatever game I want. I didn’t even know the apple id. What’s the point of making a font if you can’t use it? And the next few days the app would probably rip you off and you would not be able to cancel the offer. I immediately deleted the app and I gave it 1 star because the app is a rip off. (and there are adds once in a while)

Complete waste of your time. I was excited at first because I could really make my own font but then when it came to the end I was disgusted with disappointment because you had to PAY to use the actual font and it doesn’t even have it on your keyboard, you have to copy the font you made then paste it which is a complete disappointment. This was a complete waste of my time and I have no idea why they would make something like this then make it cost money. I would not recommend downloading this just for your own font. It a complete waste of money and your time. I would give this 0 stars if I could and the developers are COMPLETE BOTS. All they respond is “thanks for downloading” as if we give a complete poo.

Misleading. This should be a “pay to install” app and not “free with in app purchases”. I made all of the letters and numbers, and then wanted to try it out, only to discover that you needed to sign up for premium / 3 day trial in order to actually copy & use the font at all. Kind of violates the spirit of free apps, in my opinion. Would be nice if you had some sort of limited functionality (instead of zero functionality) with the unpaid version, like “lower case letters only” or something. Or maybe the premium version lets you type directly into your messages, instead of having to copy paste the font every time.

Can’t use unless you pay. I was going to leave a good review but then when i went to use it you had to buy the premium to use it and you would think that between all the adds while designing your font they would Make money but nope they still want to make you pay premium. But if you’re wanting to pay it’s alright but it does take sometime to make the font because of the adds like every five letters/characters and it doesn’t necessarily make a new key board there’s a bar up onto of your key board that you type it onto and then you paste it onto whatever your typing on . So for me it was a waste of time and kind of disappointing but for others that want to and can afford it it’s alright

DONT DOWNLOAD IT!. I downloaded this because I thought it looked cool, but it’s actually terrible! I would rate it a 0 if I could, but since I can’t, it’s a 1. I have so many things to say about this! First of all, it completely wasted my time; it took me forever to write all the letters! Second of all, the advertisements made it take even longer! It didn’t let me view my fonts which is also a red flag! I decided to try and use it first. It said to click the globe button on my keyboard, then type something in, after that all I had to do was copy and paste it! Easy right! Well, no, not exactly. fontmaker review. i rate font maker a four because of these reasons. first of all font maker is a pretty common app but for this style in particular is good. it gives you a helpful chart of your abc’s so your handwriting is good. you can also customize it in all sorts of ways. it does take a little while though. this splits up into four sections. number one is lowercase. number two is upercase. number three is numbers, and number four is special characters. this is a good app that i reccomend. but it does have many ads that I think they should scale down.

What is this?. After seeing this as an ad on Instagram and think it would be pretty cool to try and see what my handwriting into keyboard would look like. I get the question for money, and I know you are running a business but you look at an ad that says “for free” and then it’s not. I’m sorry but also when you have to change the keyboard to allow data. READ THE FINE PRINT. Literally asking for your data and it could have record of your personal information. What are you running here. I’m sorry but this seems like a great idea and fun for who ever, but the cons are valid and you should waste your data buying this app if it’s going to give you no results

Only get if you’re patient. I haven’t finished yet because I don’t know if it’ll work yet, but I’m 99% sure that it won’t work completely because it doesn’t have any of my data and it doesn’t ask me to be 13 or plus so but it’s worked so far but I think I’ve counted all the ads and the ads up to 42 ads Two ads every number and I think it’s 22 numbers shoot I don’t know how much numbers are in the alphabet and I just finished the lowercase. You should get it if you’re patient and you can wait through all of those ads but it’s OK but if you developer, she’s this, I’m not hating, but I’m just not liking I will have to say.

Cost. When i downloaded the app i was so happy that i could make my own font but when i saw i had to pay i was confused. If your not gonna let us use it unless we pay it’s kinda dumb and that’s not the only thing. The actual cost to use it is expensive 4.99 a week no unless you make good money you can’t afford that. it’s dumb thinking people will actually buy it some people would but don’t realize how much they are spending. i do love the app but take some consideration into the fact that your making us pay 4.99 a week for a font which is stupid. other then that it would be a good app but right now with that cost and the premium it’s a dumb app.

Literally Doesn’t Work. I’d give zero stars if a could, the app literally does not work. You watch a 30 second ad every 4 letters or so when making your font, which isn’t a big deal, but the frequency is a bit annoying. Then you’re finally done, you go to an app to type and the new keyboard is there! But, you have to type into a separate text box and copy paste into the normal text box. Except when you hit “copy” it opens the font app to watch another ad and when the ad is done… the app didn’t actually copy anything. When you paste nothing happens. I watched 4 “copy” ads in a row to verify that it doesn’t not copy and has nothing to paste. This app does not work, don’t bother with it!

font maker. I was super excited to make my hand writing into my own font! after I finished writing i decided to shoot my friend a message, with the new font that I had just made. when I typed out hello! it took me back to the app and insisting that I buy premium just to sent a text!? I was super disappointed and I was hoping that it would work. after reading all of these reviews, I think it’s best to say that people agree with me when they say this app is a waste of time and is useless unless you spend money. I don’t recommend this app because it makes you pay money. Maybe next time you should have a warning stating “You must pay money to use font.” But overall, waste of time DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

*Audibly sighs*. Useless. Genuinely. I got through the letter alphabet, and the numbers. About every 5 characters I wrote, an ad played. I just figured “whatever, I have time to kill anyway.” So with the ads, it took me almost 20 minutes to finish the letters and numbers. Which, again, I had accepted. I started to do the special characters section, and about halfway through, it stopped working. The ad wouldn’t load, but it wouldn’t let me move on without watching an ad. And of course, when I exited out, it deleted my progress. It’s like they’re completely compromising quality to make an extra buck on ads. I don’t usually do reviews on apps, but I figured everyone should know that downloading this app is a waste of time…

Cool! Love it!. This app is really cool! I love it! Very nice! But, I closed the payment area (Because I don't ever buy subscriptions), and wrote my letters, and then as soon as I try to text someone with it, It said I had to pay. Nothing bad, at all! I just don't buy any type of subscriptions. There are also a lot of ads, but you can just buy to get rid of them! So, I just had to pay, hehe! My bad, I didn't know I had to pay for it to be better! Anyways, keep up the good work!

Don't waste your time. First, it takes forever to make the font, as there's an ad every 5 characters you write. Second, when you write in the app and press copy, it copies a picture of the text instead of the actual words. Third, when you write in another app, you have to copy the message. It won't just let you send a text using the font. Fourth, when you copy and paste the font, at least for me, it pastes the text in the normal font instead of the one you made. Fifth, the fact that premium is $7 a week is absolutely insane and not worth it. It should be $5 a month at most, but it's about $21 a month if you pay every week. In short, it's a horrible app and you shouldn't waste your time or money on it.

A little minor adjustment. The app is so fun so easy and you don’t even have to pay any money. It’s for free. It’s hard to find the app like that but the only thing is you have to get a perfect line and there’s no tool in the app that can help you do it like you can’t press down and I’ll make or anything like that so you have to really get good with it. It’s really hard with oh because no one can make a perfect circle. And if you make one tiny mistake that you don’t like you have to trash the whole letter which can be very stressful.

Don’t buy, 5 stars is so people find this.. You see, I made a font with this, and when I tried to use it it didn’t work and when I tried it get rid of the watermark it said I needed a subscription, which I understand, but when I read through, you need to have a subscription to send the font, and that’s ridiculous, they would hide that until the very end when you spent 5-10 minutes making it. It’s a scam and a waste of time.

Cats rock!! 😼. This app is great!!! I gave four stars because it’s fun, and lets you get creative. The only reason why I took away a star is because of the advertisements. I understand if you give one, or two ads every now and again, but I don’t really think it’s fair that I have to watch an ad every three letters (I’m pretty sure.) I think it’d be a bit better and easier if you switched it to one add for each keyboard you write. What I mean is; once your finished with the lowercase keyboard, you get an add instead of getting it while your writing the letters. Then, same thing with the uppercase keyboard, and so on and so forth. I don’t really think that premium is necessary, so please, don’t reply with anything relating to it. In my opinion, I think it’s a bit too expensive just to have a cool font. Other then that, this app is pretty fun!! I just wanted to give some constructive criticism, and how I think this app should improve. :)

Okay. I like this app, but one problem.. I drew my own font, and it turned out really well. But, the problem is, I have to subscribe to be able to use the font itself. 20 dollars a month, are you serious?? That's ridiculous. For one font. Please let people use their own fonts that they worked hard to make without making them pay 240 dollars a year. At least do that or make it to where you spend like three dollars a month. At least. It makes no sense to make it that expensive for one little font. I have to copy and paste it, but then the subscription page pops up. Please fix this, because I really like the font I made but I can't use it.

Nice app, a couple small suggestions. First, I want to say that this is a really cool app. People are saying that you are required to make in app purchases, however that is not true. For anyone who believes that, just know that there is an X in the corner, so you do not have to buy Premium. I love how you can create a font in your very own handwriting with this app and use it in places like Messages, as well as Snapchat. The reason I rated this app 4 stars instead of 5 though is because I wish that you could create multiple fonts. A lot of other font creating apps have this feature, and I think that it would be a great add on. My other suggestion is that the keyboard should be a little bigger. It is somewhat difficult to use because of how small the buttons are, and I frequently press the wrong one. But other than those two things, it is a great app! Thank you for reading!

It’s meh. This app is sort of good. There’s way too many adds. Every time I open the app and click on something an add pops up. It’s so annoying and too much. And I love my hand writing as a font and I wish I could use it in messages and texting. Please find a way to do that it would make the app much more enjoyable. I really like it. I like it because it is super useful and let you put your own writing. The only thing that I don’t like is that for every like letter like for every four letters, it gives you an ad and like I don’t like that because I don’t get to do all the letters in like 10 min it takes me a hole day for letters in the attic 10 98 minutes and like you take a lot of time doing these letters and you have to do uppercase and lowercase and I did what I think of this app. Thank you bye🧸🧋🫖🌷🎀🌸

So got it and deleted it right away. Sooo…….. I got this app and was like OH I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE MY OWN FONT!! And then, right after I got it, it was ambushing me with ads. So many ads. Each of them were like 1 minute long so I was sitting there for like 5 minutes waiting for the ads to be over. And when they finally did, my screen froze up and would let me exit out of anything. When I just restarted my phone, it kept glitching really bad, but it has never ever done that before. It is an iPhone 13 and it is always up to date and has a bunch of free storage. So this app ruined my phone and then after I deleted it it started working. DO NOT GET THIS APP I AM BEGGING IT COSTS SO MUCH FOR “ PREMIUM” AND ADS ARE AWFUL AND IT RUINES YOUR PHONE

Font is the best!!!!. You get the opportunity to use your own handwriting and then you get to use it while you write and it’s the best and then if you were to not do it yet then and then you tell your friend that you can text in your own handwriting. They’d be like no you can’t then you use your own handwriting and then you start texting them in your own handwriting and then they’ll text you. It’s ok..i guess?. This app is great, no doubt, but..you need to pay just to use the fonts. EVERY single one of them. It was pretty annoying, since i didn’t know at first, but when i tried to use the fonts in a different app, it didn’t let me, and asked for me to pay. Pretty annoying, so i’ll recommend a free good font app: Buzzer fonts, (Fonts %), those are 100% free, and great to use. Overall, This app is kind of annoying, cuz you get hit with an ad every millisecond. Great app though, just please..no adds, no paying..

Kind of annoying with ads. I understand that they need to make money, however I wish you could just watch a few adds at the start and then it would allow you to make all the letters. I don’t like that you have to watch an add every few letters because I was halfway done, and i needed to watch another add to add a letter but the ad itself glitched out and the app was frozen at the loading screen, forcing me to exit and loose all my progress, on top of that I have to watch more ads id i want to make more letters.. its very frustrating…

An app that’s for you for everybody. I like this app but I gave it to stars because there’s one thing that you have to buy to get ads free and everything else that it says so that’s the only thing that I would not like and to switch it up with this app overall the app is great I had a test out if it actually works to like draw your own letters and have them on your keyboard so I have to still test that out if it doesn’t work then don’t buy this app and if it does work buy this app!

Disappointing. I thought this was the amazing app that I always wanted, free, fun, cool. Well, it was too good to be true. I start making my font. I do the lowercase, no problem. The. I get to the capitals… I make them all and hit save. It says error, I come back later hit the save button, again, error. So I close the page and have to start my capitals again… 1 hour later I finish my font! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, then. Disaster strikes. All my letters are streaky. Great, I am left with an almost illegible font. After an hour and a half sitting at my iPad writing. Regret downloading. This game is bad. I recently downloaded it, and I spent nearly 10-20 minutes writing down the letters and going through ads. Don’t download-. This app is useless to download and serves no real purpose. It gives you MANY warnings before downloading saying that it can look at previous texts and scan the data, like an address. It was an overall pain to download and was kinda creepy too considering that now I’m being tracked and listened to. The other reason I don’t recommend this app is because you create a font and that’s it, you don’t even get to use it unless you pay a ridiculous fee of 5 dollars a week and 35 dollars a month, just to use a font style. There are many safe and usable apps that can help create a desired font but this one is just not it. Don’t download this unless you want to be heavily dissatisfied.

The app is pretty cool.. I don’t understand why people are criticizing this app so much. I never had my handwriting made into a font before, so it was pretty awesome I got to do it, not to mention it was for free. 👍👍 The only thing that slightly bothers me is the fact that you have to allow full access to the keyboard before you can try the app out. Ehhhh. This app is not that good in my opinion, it requires you to watch an ad when you write only 3 letters, but if you can watch an ad every 20 seconds, this app is for you. I’m giving it a three star because I couldn’t watch an ad every 20 seconds, and I didn’t finish the letters. So I don’t know if this works or not.( plus, the ads were either scams for robux or one of those weird chat ads). So if you’re like me and don’t want to watch ads every 20 seconds (please fix that developer) then go to settings and look up fonts, that’s how I changed my fonts

Don’t make the same mistake I did…. The idea of the app is really cool since you get to have the person decide what they choose instead of picking from a select few but when you make it that pricey per week then less people are gonna wanna get your app. Usually the subscription just gives you exclusive items and perks but this one has you buy the subscription just to use the font you made. I would think you use the subscription to allow for more fonts instead of just having one in the first place.

I need something to discuss…. So recently, my child has seen this ad where they say “your iq is 5 probably” which made my child cry nonstop, despite this she uses it and the app is good and all. It does lag a little, overall the app isn’t that bad just the ad making my child cry and my other child roasted it by saying “ai slop” which is quite funny even if I’ve never seen the “ai ad” but still… my child dislikes the ad they made of being called dumb, but a good app.
