Reality. Even though starlink is not cable internet it is very good and reliable option from other satellite internet services . I’m able to work remote with no problems, use our phones , streaming and online gaming. The only thing I do not like is when I lose connection due to bad weather. Other than that I highly recommend it for anyone who lives a rural or remote location .

Most update rendered the app mostly useless.. I use my own router & wifi AP. I’m not using the Starlink wifi. The older version of the app worked fine with this arrangement, I could view all the settings, statistics, speed & obstruction pages. The first time I used the new version of the app, the app wouldn’t connect to my Starlink. After poking around for a bit I found a ‘remote’ option. Selecting that worked and all was normal. The next day I attempted to use the app and it takes me to a page where the only options are: Order Starlink & Setup Starlink. Thought maybe the app needed to be setup again, I tried the Setup Starlink option. Can’t get past the wifi setup page. It’s looking for the Starlink routers wifi to continue setup. My Starlink is working fine and I can use the Starlink web page to see my Starlink usage and speed, etc, just can’t use the app anymore.

Works great, love the improvements. For just the app, this is pretty great. Just getting stats for the connection was a vast improvement vs my other ISP. So much easier to self diagnose issues now. Especially with the new screen not just showing that you have an obstruction but showing the direction of that obstruction. If it is this good now, super excited for the next iterations.

Starlink inconsistencies. From when we first got Starlink compared to now, its night and day difference. It went from working great all the time(even in severe weather) to working terrible! The maps are complete garbage and are terribly inconsistent from day to day when there’s absolutely no change in weather, one day we’ll have zero obstructions then the next it’s completely red with obstructions! Its too the point where were probably going to go a different direction and simply bite the $600 in equipment we own. Definitely would not recommend to any of my friends, Starlink has gone so downhill and I can’t continue to pay such high prices with such poor internet! Lesson learned

Low quality hardware and service. 4 months offline. Support takes 2-3 weeks between answering emails. The rectangular dish, the router and the cable are of the lowest quality. On average the dish will last less than a year, if you bend the proprietary cable just a bit is gone. The router is so cheaply made it doesn’t even have a reset button or a GUI to change the IP. But it comes a nice plastic shell to make you feel better. As far as service goes, a POTS DSL is much better and more reliable. Starlink is an experimental product, and you’ll be paying to take part of the beta. Not worth your frustration.

App Needs Some Work. I love our starlink internet. It’s faster and even cheaper than our old internet. I believe it was completely worth the switch. However, I’m really frustrated with the way to pay. My boyfriend and I both pay the internet, but you can only save one payment method. It’s frustrating because I have to send him apple pay on the months it’s my turn to pay, or erase his info and put mine in there… every time. In addition, you have to go online to pay, you can’t use the app- from what I see. I think it would be simpler if costumers could pay in app and add more than a single card to their account.

Still Waiting. We are in desperate need and still waiting for our system to arrive. We have heard so many great things about Starlink but are disappointed we can’t even figure out where we are in the que to receive our equipment. It would be nice to at least have some information on arrival. With beta testing ending soon - hopefully this type of information will become more readily available to those in need. Can’t wait to get it!!!!! Thank you for the mission you are on to help those of us who are in need.

Excellent App. The Starlink’s App is excellent. It allows for easy set-up of Starlink and of your WiFi user name / password. It’s interface is simple, attractive and functional, allowing you to check your network locally or from thousands of miles away. Features include network statistics, speed check, on-line status, dish obstructions, control of the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks, remote reboot and more. This also allows you to turn on and off heat mode (snow melting) in the satellite dish, which is useful if you’re running off battery / solar to reduce current draw. I’ve been using Starlink for about six months and this App has always been stable and continues to improve. A guest network for the Starlink router would be great, but I just use a second router for this. I think Starlink’s goal has been to make this interface stupid simple and it is! Excellent work by the developer!

Best out there.. Working in the West Texas/ New Mexico oil field most places have no service. This has been a game changer for many of us. It doesn’t matter if it’s overcast, sand storms, raining or snow it works regardless better than my home internet. 5 minutes to set up each day and 5 minutes to lock on to a satellite and I’m good to do anything on my phone, tablet or computer the rest of the day. At about $38 dollars a week it was a wise investment. I could easily see this putting all of its competitors out of business such as Verizon, AT&T and others in the coming years.

Starlink please!!. I hate to sound like I’m begging, but being able to beta test starlink would make the rest of my semester. Stuck to relying on the phone lines for internet in an area under the beta test coverage. 2mbps split across all the devices in a modern home with work and remote learning. It’s not possible. Now we have none because the provider doesn’t prioritize us as a customer and will never expand us to broadband and has told the state as such. As soon as it’s available you’ll have loyal customers.

App update introduced issues to display. Latest app update has display issues on speed test screen… the static message won’t slide down screen so I have to slide the speed test dial partially out of view to see results of test while running. Very annoying that it is different from old view as this is what I use app for 90 % of the time. Starlink remains game changer for rural customers with poor service from land line and cell providers. Allows me to work remotely.

Absolutely stellar - pun intended. My family struggled with reliable high speed internet for years until our Starlink arrived. We have had it for a few months now, and have only had three nights during severe weather where the briefly cut out. We have no problem streaming, or downloading. My family and I feel that we have so many more opportunities because of our Starlink. UPDATE (29 SEP 2022): We are in Central Florida and still dealing with weather from Hurricane Ian - our Starlink has still not lost service and has continued to maintain it’s signal. My family and I can’t say enough great things about Starlink.

Great App that keeps improving.. Options are limited here in the forest and this saves the day. Mesh router system little more limited range so we’ve got them everywhere in 4000 square foot house. Only thing that disappeared after buying (6)mesh routers was the ability to rename each individual router. Please bring that feature back. Otherwise, the service keeps improving as time goes by.

It was good. App works fine, dish is easy enough to set up and I love the mobility of Starlink. But over the last 2 years I’ve seen a steady decline in speed and availability. I have enough connection to keep working. But the 30 second to 5 min outages for network issues gets very old when they’re frequent. I went from an issue once every month or 2 to weekly disconnects. Cons: data cap, raising my rate for living in a congested area (rural Montana is congested…?), dropping speeds, and no ability to use my own equipment!!! I made a jumper so I didn’t have to fish the Ethernet from the dish to my router through my house whenever I wanted to pick up and go. As soon as I connected it, my speeds got throttled and the app was saying the cord was damaged. Once I skipped the jumper, I was good to go (the pin test on my jumper passed, so it wasn’t an issue with my jumper). Pros: internet anywhere with a clear sky and an outlet.

Horrible compass. Horrible company nothing but lies!! every year all they keep saying is sorry will send your order next year sorry will send your order next year and been like that for years!! Im sick or their lies!! Each year is oh sorry next year and raising prices all the time while they keep sending the dishes to people that already have high speed Internet! They don’t even do proper research. Ive had a star in my area for years and they still can’t deliver product. After reading reviews the Internet is slow and customer service is non existent in the event that they do answer they are really rude and unhelpful! Yet somehow they keep making new dishes for 3x the price instead of fulfilling order of ppl who ordered years ago! Cancelling my order and I want nothing to do with them also filing a report with the governing bodies to share my experiments! Their licenses should be revoked immediately!

Super nice and easy set up.. I live south of Deming New Mexico and Starlink is the best thing that’s happened to this area in 30 years. I love this WiFi !! I’m waiting for my pole mount and have rectangular flat face on the ground about 70 feet away in the gravel. Got everything plugged in and about 10 minutes later I’m working on updating all my devices in the house,TV’s,PRINTER ,SECURITY SYSTEM ,PLAYSTATIONS, APPLE TV,NOOK BOOKS ETC, every device read the Starlink system fast and I updated more than 1 device at a time without a problem first try. Thanks to the genius ELON MUSK AND HIS MUSKETEERS. (TEAM )Hahaha 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻,

No help from Support. I have been trying to contact support. There is no phone number to call. You are supposed to be able to file a ticket with support on the App. You only get an error message that something went wrong from my end. I have tried using the App and going online. I get the same error message. I loved the service when I got it in June but have not had any service since September and have had no way to contact Support. I ordered a new cable and that hasn’t showed up. I’m hoping that by writing this review it will get someone’s attention.

Beware of Starlink. You finally get your Dishy after waiting 6 months, you pull it out of the box and plug it all in. You see the dish start to move, it’s amazing, the app onboarding is buttery smooth and within 10 minutes you have fast internet. That’s how Starlink used to be prior to Dec 2022. I began to have issues with my service, many outages, constant speed drops (slower than dial-up at times). Reached out to Starlink support mid-Dec I didn’t get any response by Jan 10th so I filed a report with the FCC two weeks later they responded to my support ticket, they decide they don’t know what the issue is and send new equipment, another 2 weeks go by, issue still persists and I’ve been unable to reliably contact their support since (end of Feb). If it works, it works great, if it doesn’t you’re in a word of pain trying to get through to support, which they don’t offer any kind of phone support so you play a game of cat and mouse using their support chat within Starlink, which again can take minimum weeks once they respond to you. That is even if the app will let you send a message, feels about 20% of all support messages that I send either go unsent or disappear after saying they’ve been sent. Watch out for Starlink, I believe they’ve over promised their capacity of the network and are overselling regions, hiking service prices, and generally running a consumer unfriendly company.

What can I say? (Before Starlink). Elon Musk you have truly made the world happy I know for one thing that you have given me actual hope of having good internet. Relying off of phone lines for internet and only getting downloads speeds of 1-3mbps if even that on one device is truly and disappointment and seeing how the fiber optic internet situation we are having in my are with them going down half my road and stoping and coming from the other side of my road only the the edge causes some serious lag. For example, call of duty games have always been my favorite and now that internet requires faster speeds to function anymore has caused me to ultimately slow down on gaming almost to where I never wanna play anymore. And Starlink has given me enough hope to rekindle my love for gaming. With this I also plan to build my first Pc and join a new community of gamers after being an xbox fan for so long. Thank you and please never stop innovating you are truly the best man on earth with a wonderful purpose in life.

Hoping to get my kit soonest!. Recently widowed, 74yo, fixed income and dependent on the internet for a large part of my income. Like so many others, I’ve been ground up and spit out by the few rural providers available to me. Slow speed and being charged average of $275 a month by ATT for data I don’t use. I can’t afford to pay that much for something I’m not getting. Elon Musk, you are an amazing man and you hold the world in thrall. I’m watching my mailbox and desperately hoping my kit comes soon.

You better be an IT person to operate. I’ve had this for a year and It’s great when it works but spotty coverage and a very cryptic app make it maddeningly frustrating to operate. I’ve spent countless hours dealing with the app and SL. Tech support is non existent- literally. No phone no email no chat. You must go many layers deep into the website to create a support ticket and then wait days for a response. Every time I try to log into manage my account I receive an invalid credentials and have to reset my PS. Every single time. I spent half a day trying to reactivate my account when I finally realized they increased the rate from $130 to $150. Nothing in the app or online indicates this. No email or text either to remind users to do this. Even after finally updating to the $150 rate still unsuccessful at getting it online. Deleted and reinstalled the app, set the router to factory settings many times with still no luck. Cable is also not robust enough to survive many connections. What a shame they have completely neglected proper support for this product as there is unfortunately nothing like it.

Lousy, lousy, double lousy starlink app and support. Maybe Elon Musk is brilliant and maybe not. But the starlink app is some of the worst software ever perpetrated. Cryptic non-standard interface. It looks like and undergraduate coding project. Perhaps it was written in Pascal or Basic. I am attempting to add a mesh router. Online instructions say to do this in settings. Unfortunately, my starlink app seems to lack this ability. There is no bypass radio button in Settings. If I log onto Starlink on the web, it shows the grayed interface to choose by pass mode and says I have to do this in the app. Of course, this s cruel joke by some Muskolite pothead programmers who just needed a good laugh. My starlink was downloaded in May 2022 from the Apple Store, so it should be up to date. Maybe an ild version? So I tried to delete the app to reinstall. The icon disappears but the app is still there. I cannot reinstall it. WHAT A JOKE app. I guess they aren’t raking in enough cash to write functional software or provide ANY support. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. By the way, this is FACTUAL free speech, Elon.

Great Service. The recent uptick in negative reviews came right after Elon speaks conservative comments and exposed the Twit for the American marxist organization they are. No surprise there from the DCP. Been using Starlink for months and the vast improvement at half the cost is great. Elon is the best tech engineer since Nicola Tesla invented electrical power, radio that is the root basis of all modern electronics. I love the fact I can contribute to putting Viasat and Hughesnet out of business. Both claim high mbps, but only get a quarter of the speed with very high latency. But, their contract terms state they do not guarantee the advertised speed. So, able to charge twice the amount of Starlink but only deliver 1/4 of the speed and does not violate the terms of the Viasat or Hughes contract.

To Mars Or Bust!. Starlink has come along way, good things come to those who wait. Till then shut up and take my money 🤣 I’m looking forward to getting the kit to install and use. This is a much welcomed change to our technology...Looking forward to using this for work and for our meetings. As one of Jehovah’s Witness, I’m looking forward to using this technology in rural and in internet dead zones. Hopefully by getting on this and funding it now will help get Starlink up and running so everyone on the planet will have access to the internet.

Do not update to 2.0.31-No Statistics with own router. Update: 2.0.32 has fixed this issue. Statistics are available again in a new place. Do not upgrade to 2.0.31 from an earlier version if you are using your own router. Network Statistics were in a button labeled STATS. Now they are down below in a bar above SETTINGS, but it is greyed out. You no longer have access to Uptime, Outages, Latency, or Usage info. This was a major feature of the app that is now gone if you bypass the Starlink router. I hope that they will fix this.

Unable to load account information. Really disappointing app. No way to contact support, no way to get email address, no phone number to call, and literally you are on your own setting up the dish, and hoping it works. If you do not have networking experience you will only have wifi from one device and not be able to have multiple access points unless you feel comfortable setting up the router with the Ethernet. Currently i have two dishes, and one is miserably slow service, and now i can’t even use the app to login since the app for a month now says “unable to load account information” No way to contact support, even in the app, or by email. No way to troubleshoot my system. Sorry Mr. Musk. This is deliberate extremely poor customer service.

Terrible Tech Support. My WIFI has been out for hours. No telephone tech support and no reply to my emails. Paying for service I now do not have!!! I’ve only had the service about 6 months. As an update, I didn’t have service for WEEKS. Didn’t get an answer from Support for WEEKS. I needed a new dish, which they sent without charge, but because I’d had mine installed on top of my roof, it cost $200 to have it changed out and reinstalled. Their response to my complaints was a snarky canned answer. Starlink Support makes Comcast look good! I am very sorry I went with this service. It’s expensive to buy the dish, expensive for the monthly service, which would be OK if Support was good, but as it’s not, that was the icing on the cake. No, I don’t recommend them and I’m now stuck for awhile since I’ve invested so much. I would give them ZERO stars if possible.

Works perfectly but EULA is vague.. The hardware works fine and the speeds that o get are about 150dl and 20ul. About the only complaint I have is that the contract has statements like “we may raise the fee at anytime” basically if you don’t like it then leave. It mentions a 50% increase in the first three months as an amount that would allow a pro rated refund on the $500 hardware purchase. Bottom line is that I get the feeling that in some very near point in time they plan a massive price hike.

Thank you!. I can’t wait to tell windstream to shove there 50mbs b.s. internet that has never seen that speed or come close to it. And can barely get down to 40ms into whatever they put modems in when people cancel. They are changing their name to kinetic b/c they have destroyed their current name with terrible service. Woo!!! I love the pace of SpaceX and so happy to see real change in the internet market. This is truly one giant leap. Especially for the rural families. I can finally live outside city limits and still work!!!

Short And Simple. I live in a ranch out in Mexico, far from the city. With the local internet I would get kilobytes per download now with Starlink I’m getting 50 megabytes per second and able to scroll through the internet and play online games without issues. I always recommend this service to anyone who’s in a similar situation to mine

Loving my starling. I love this internet service however one thing I absolutely hate is no phone number to call to talk to customer service. Also when is the pi phone being sold and do those of us who have been using your internet get first chance to order like we did to get starlink? I need a new phone but trying to hold out for the PI.

The Freak’n Best, seriously. First, I love the App. They have simply step up their game on this one. Very sexy and I believe it needs minor tweaks, but don’t go overboard it works and looks great!!! Thank you Starlink! Second, the internet is smoking hot, I bet when they are done adjusting it and finish aligning the satellites I bet, it will be very close to cable internet. My speeds now are amazing than what I had from the very crappy Hughes net and Viasat. OMG, it is like night and day difference. Thank you Elon for looking out for the World and our pursuit to have fast and reliable internet!

Needs addressing system fixed.. This probably isn’t fair because I just ordered the system but the addressing system is not right. It uses preselected service addresses and doesn’t allow corrections. The default shipping address allows for the correct address but you have to tell the system that you know it is correct. So my service address ends up being in a totally different county at a post office that doesn’t service my area. Hopefully that isn’t where the bill goes, I’ll never get it. Anyhow there’s no way to correct the service address in the system that I’ve found. This really does need looked into. Thanks. I’m sure I’ll give a better review once the equipment arrives. I’m very impatient. LOL...

Not at all worth the hype. Falls very short of the goal it has. It constantly crashes and cuts out even though I have it in the best possible spot for connection. I’m the only one that uses it too. The weather is not bad either. I hope it continues to improve because in its current state very disappointing. After 2+ months of use I can say firmly not worth the money if you have any other providers. It’s high starting price and inconsistent coverage makes it almost unbearable. Really struggles to make up for that $600+ starting fee.

Great for the desert but. I live in the middle of a desert and our WiFi has always been terrible Setting this up it was immediately better and faster loading shows that wouldve buffered for an hour before My only complaint is that the starlink satellite keeps detecting obstructions which would be impossible considering we live in the middle of nowhere with no power lines or houses in the way. We also took it away from any plants so I’m genuinely confused about what could be obstructing it The WiFi stops every 3 minutes because of the “obstructions” and you can’t play any online game because it resets

Feature Removal. This version of the app removes the ability to “see” your connected router (if you have that). Support says this is intentional. No idea why they would remove that function. Please restore. More Details: I have a WiFi mesh connected to the SL router via their Ethernet adapter. Earlier versions of this app would show “connected devices - 1” in the app. That device was my router. Running speed tests allowed me to do the advanced speed test between the 2 routers as well as to the internet. THAT IS NOW GONE. Also, in order to make any SL router tweaks in the app, you have to connect directly to the SL WiFi to do so, as the SL router is not reachable from the connected network.

No Starlink. We ordered Starlink last March of 2021 and still have yet to receive the hardware. It’s frustrating from the fact some friends, that live close by, received Starlink after a few weeks of ordering from the same time we did. The lack of good service in our area made it crucial to invest our money into a “reliable source” because we thought Elon Musk would get things rolling into providing fast internet to everyone. I understand patience is key, but do not spread false information to when we are supposed to receive the hardware if it’s not accurate.

We are so isolated with medical issues.. We are both seniors living on a small rescue farm in rural Florida. I have been fighting Cancer and other major health issues. I’m close to 80 and my wife is the most wonderful caregiver a person could hope for, but she has major health issues also. We have 6 mbps internet on a good day making communication with doctors and hospital facilities difficult. We are looking forward to the day our Starlink package arrives. I ordered 4/21. Keep up the great work Elon. We are behind you in all your efforts. Thank You so much.

App works great but Starlink has issues. I’ve had Starlink for about a year. It worked as advertised until recently, with limited exceptions. Now, my connection is frequently dropped and any use that doesn’t have some buffering gets disconnected. This makes virtual meetings and the use of some real-time apps impossible as I get dropped every few minutes. I have no obstructions above or around my receiver and everything seems fine on my end. Reached out to customer service, after a few days they responded saying the diagnostics checked out and they were closing the ticket... a quick search online reveals that this exact issue appears to be a recent phenomenon that is plaguing Starlink’s coverage areas. I’d avoid Starlink until they have a more reliable product.

Super helpful if you have starlink.. Or check for obstructions with your phones camera AR setting. And it’s only an estimation. So results do vary, but I have 0% obstructions, and is nice and smooth. Also getting consistent latency around 25 MS. Awesome! Also like how you can name devices now and the obstruction map is live. so you can see satellite lines on the obstruction map when first booting it up.

Will not work at all with 3d party routers. When the Starlink Router is connected, the app will let you control a few things. Considering it is all in Beta testing, I really didn’t expect full control yet. But if you have and or need to use a third party router, the app thinks the Dishy is not connected and up and running. Horse Hockey. Some people can play with the settings and get it to work with their personal third-party routers, but it should not be necessary to do that at all. The app should see that it’s connected to the StarLink satellite dish and show you all the appropriate information since it’s coming from the dish itself and not the router. So that is a bad Starlink. If and when they ever fix that issue, the app will be rated five stars. Until then I had to give them three, but I was actually looking at two Stars.

Horrible experience. Poor internet and no customer service. We have had starlink for 6 weeks and it is a complete scam! The mesh router has no range so they recommended getting a second one, at an additional cost of course. Over 6 weeks we have had 3 outages. The second mesh router does not stay connected to the network. The phone and tv say they are connected to starlink but have no internet connectivity. We have just as much buffering as with AT&T. Most shows will not stream in hd and everything buffers. There is no customer support on weekends it appears. All support is done by email. The scam is that you have to buy everything upfront and they do not give refunds after 30 days. So they sell faulty equipment which you have to keep and pause you trying to cancel before 30 days so they can keep your money.

Yay SpaceX!. Starlink’s service is amazing and everyone should give it a try! The speed and latency are unmatched by any other satellite internet company. This app is also very helpful in finding the right place to put the receiver and set up the materials. The only potential problem I see is that they don’t have a support number to call and talk to a human, but I foresee them updating this in the future. Not all of us are equal in our technological abilities.

Rural Wisconsin virtual pandemic learning. We live in a rural part of Wisconsin where literally the phone company can’t provide internet. Even the worst. Only option is low grade hotspot Due to covid, my two sons have to try and learn from school. Having to learn while physically isolated through machines is not good, with poor internet it is cruel. Like duck hunting through a chimney. They found out about Starlink. We literally have been praying for it to get off the ground (pun intended) and be picked for beta.

The new standard for home internet!. I’m an IT admin and I’m floored. I came to set this satellite service up for a family who lives a rural, desert location and I expected it to be a slight improvement over their existing satellite internet provider who I CONSTANTLY heard complaints about but I couldn’t do anything (I’m not an ISP and the cable and phone companies won’t drop service here). They finally got into this Starlink program and now I want it! The transparency, simplicity, and the SERVICE are GREAT! This should be what the other ISP’s are copying because I want visibility to know when my home’s last network outage occurred and the duration. Instead of guessing network speeds, they provide the testing tools right instead the app. It’s great! Since I am an IT Admin, I will say that I wish there were some MORE router configuration options available (like guest wireless, child safety tools, etc.) but NONE of that is a priority over the current tools that Starlink has provided here. Those are only things that could bog services and hardware down over time, so I’ll gladly take this setup and hope that they keep their foot on the pedal to become the next big ISP!

NEED DIRECTIONAL STOW. RV/Tractor Trailer/Mobile uses need a directional stow option!!!! Dishy mounted on mobile vehicles in a specific orientation cannot stow properly after each location change. I spent all day coming up with a creative “pole mount” for my truck (tractor trailer). I utilized a ratcheted load bar that truckers use to secure loads. These are already stored in a rack attached to the back of the cab. After meticulous measurements I was able to create a mount whereby I can crank Dishy up above my truck height, then back down below before driving. Dishy was mounted on the load bar pole parallel with the back of the truck cab that left 4 inches space from touching. Everything was perfect until Dishy first whirled around to locate satellites. Everything still great. Until later when I hit stow and lazy Dishy just tilted down in the new orientation. Now I can’t crank down my mount because the side of Dishy hits the truck. And since the load bar pole has a racket handle sticking out it can’t be rotated. Please, please, please add a directional stow option to spin Dishy first to a specific location before stow for RV/Truck mounts that need to stow in original orientation! Especially for the fact that we constantly change locations!!! This is going to be a PITA everyday because truckers move everyday!! Please add this to the app and you’ll get 6 stars!!!!

Our Community. I have yet to get my kit but I have friends who have just received theirs. I just have to say that we are incredibly grateful for this service. My friends have been blown away by the speed and consistency that they are able to receive using Starlink in our small community. With Covid-19 the need for reliable internet skyrocketed and our community, which still does not have cell phone coverage over approximately half of it and has had the equivalent to dial up internet over the majority is waiting with great anticipation to test out and use this new service. Which is less expensive than the other satellite service we currently have and is unlimited verses the 10 gb limit of our current satellite. Needless to say we are appreciative and grateful for Starlink!

Two StarLink Accounts - Problems. First off, the Starlink access works great and I am very pleased with my purchases. However, I have two Starlink devices and accounts, one in the US and one in New Zealand. I’m trying to order a mesh router for my New Zealand location and the app refuses to change my mailing address to New Zealand. I put in all the New Zealand address information but it will not allow me to change from the United States as the country location. So far no response from Starlink.

Starlink. Starlink is great, I love how fast the internet is, I no longer have the app features though like when I first downloaded the app to hook up my Starlink, I can’t see the network on how many devices are there, can’t see the obstruction part like all the features the pictures show on the app before downloaded app. Every time I go to the app it always has the order starlink features and other options, I can tap onto the profile part for payments and that’s it. How do I get the other features back???

No support. App has diagnostic info that is useless. “Troubleshooting” always points to the consumer as the problem when it appears from my research that at least half problems are related to the product. The only way to contact the company is via the app or email but typically no response or some excuse as to why they can’t get to your problem any time soon. If I sound bitter it is because I waited more than a year for the equipment, spent $700 for it then got 6 months of service before it quit working and with the $110 a month service charge I spent $200+ a month for service. If they would spend less time trolling the internet attacking anyone who complains and more time on customer service they might have a good product but for now it is a waste of money.

Starlink is like Space Travel.. So cool to have SpaceX app on my phone, even if it is just for the Starlink. Thanks Elon and everyone at SpaceX 🙏

Amazing technology, no support. You need a cohesive support system. Not a bunch of clowns randomly commenting on a ticket system. I’ve never seen anything so abysmal before and I hope I never experience anything this frustrating again. It’s a circus!

Service keeps dropping out.. The service often drops out for a fair while and signal is always dropping out for short periods. The internet is always dropping out and I live in an area well covered by Starlink satellites. It’s so frustrating when you are trying to look at emails, YouTube, Facebook and searching the internet and it’s always dropping out. I’m going to get NBN broadband on to replace Starlink. I think some of those nice revues are suspect.

Brilliant App. This app is simply brilliant. It provides transparent honest and accurate information at every stage of setup and operation. The service itself cannot be faulted. For years, both in the US and Australia, we have had to live with BS telco double speak- finally we have a service that actually delivers.

Slowed speeds. Service has slowed and also loading app since up date

App not scanning sky and reporting obstructions. Im unable to see all the green dots any more. I install starlink for customers and use the app when looking for the best location. The first time I used the app all the little green dots appeared and help me scanning the sky. Every time I try to use now they don’t appear and doesn’t scan and give me the report. I’ve deleted app and re installed multiple times.same issues. Any ideas please

App works as it should. The app works exactly how it should, I see people writing to expensive and blah blah but when I’m in an area that doesn’t have good internet service for nbn Starlink gives me great speeds around 100-270mps all day and night, the only thing I see as issue with the app and Starlink is lack of communication when they will upgrade satellite and you lose connection for couple hours. And customer support no numbers to call in the app or live chat in app either which is a tad unprofessional. But as for the app works well.

Can’t wait for my dish!. So only 3 stars for now as I wait for my dish to arrive. All the pictures of the dish show it pointing to the sky, so that’s how I thought you had to do the obstruction scan. A bit more clarity around what angle to hold your phone. Also, how can you stand still and do a 360 degree scan, a bit more clarity here also. Maybe stand in one spot and do a slow “pirouette”? Once I get my dish setup and I can use the app fully, I’ll revisit my review.

Love it. Only thing missing from the app is the ability to turn off or put restrictions on individual devices connected via wifi. Please include this feature.

Great app for the starlink service. Great app Before you buy the starlink hardware , use this app to point in the sky to make sure you have no obstructions. Once you have the hardware Use this app to setup starlink it takes not even 5 minutes to get connected

Please fix. Hi ever since I updated the app it now automatically closes. Please fix

App suggestions. Great app Very informative Some requests; - to be able to name devices in the app network - to be able to turn off/on device - to be able to limiting usage on devices would be great for monitoring my children’s usage :-) - to be able to send feedback within the app

Starlink Customer Support IS VERY BAD ❗️👎. Every time I have ANY Problem, they CLOSE my Entire Account, WITHOUT EVEN Solving the Problem ❗️😫 This in my opinion is VERY BAD Customer Service ❗️👎 I Appeal to my fellow Scientist 👨‍🔬 Elon Musk (Austin Texas) for his Excellent Support and Kind Assistance ❗️🙏

Better than any available alternative. Yes it’s expensive to set up and monthly fees are quite high but I have my dish now and it’s super simple to set up & operate as a standalone wifi access point. It orients itself and tells you if it’s obstructed. Speeds are variable but SO much faster than any other option I can get in my sizeable town in regional VIC and that includes NBN. For many the out of the box setup will be all they need but for me it will be a little more complicated to integrate into my existing home network as I have a mesh range extender and a NAS to consider. Not much help from Starlink at all (could do much better there) but people have filled that gap on YouTube.

App needs a toggle to turn off wifi. App works fine but would be good to have a toggle to turn the internet on and off to help parents control internet usage for kids

This review is about the app, not the service. I don't understand why people are using these app reviews to voice their opinion about an internet service they don't even have or find too expensive. There are better places to do that. This app is functional and serves multiple purposes. It guides you through the process of finding the optimal spot for your Starlink dish, it guides you through the (simple) setup process, and it provides you with a way to monitor your equipment and connection. It does so in a stable, consistent and userfriendly manner. So far so good. One thing I would like to see is actual push notifications for service updates. A few days ago I had an in-app message announcing intermittent service later that day. As a fairly new user I open the app quite regularly, but it would be good to see this kind of announcement as a notification. I also want them to enhance the configurability of the router, which is done through this app but is very basic. Some additional features such as DHCP range setup and IP reservations would not go amiss.

Sleep Mode. Can’t disable sleep mode once dish is sleeping, the setting vanishes. Tried factory reset, stow/unstow, reboot. Nothing works, the app has a notification saying Starlink is sleeping… tapping on it takes you to a settings screen missing the actual sleep setting. Frustrating for the small number of times I have scheduled meetings at 5am and my Starlink cant be used.

Best internet ever. I have spent years looking for great internet that is straight forward and with great customer service and technology well done SpaceX .

4 days no internet — no customers support. Firstly the user experience is terrible when it comes to finding customer support; it’s like they don’t—want—you—to—find—it, you have to press the tiny thumbs down button at the very bottom after going through 3-4 actions before that. The internet dropped out suddenly and after 4 days of waiting, the only response I’ve had was an automated generic message, there is no way to speak to a real person or call them, pretty rich considering the price point of this internet service and equipment is 4-5 times more expensive than other internet providers. On a positive note, when the internet is working, the download speed is really good. Unfortunately it’s not so good that you forget about the lack of customer service — and; internet speed is only a positive if you actually have an internet connection.

Great. The Starlink help us with internet connection to space for school and work

Can’t Wait!. Starlink may be on the more pricey end of Internet Providers, however I’m currently paying the same amount for maximum 15mbps download. Looking forward to the release!

Great app. Everything on this app works well for me. My only request is could you on your next update allow us to edit all our network device names connected to the Starlink router? It is annoying to see the IP addresses but unknown device next to it.

Well built App. The App is great. However, the setup fee for Starlink is waaaay too high for the average person. The ongoing monthly fee of $139 seems okay given the bandwidth you'll be receiving. I just can't justify paying over $700 for a setup fee. 🤯😱

A most important missing feature. I run starlink with 7 mesh nodes. Currently there is no ability to instruct the nodes as to which other node they should be connecting to. In a perfect world they would see which node has the strongest upstream signal and only connect to that one but I’m constantly getting issues with nodes dropping out and reconnecting to nodes with extremely weak signal strenth (9-11% on a different floor) despite having much closer nodes on the same floor with 80+% signal strength. The problem with this is every time it happens it causes the whole network of nodes to reconfigure which often results in an endless loop of connections and disconnections which forces me to reposition the weaker nodes further away, but this then causes an entirely different set of problems in that area/floor of the network. The one feature this app needs is the ability to instruct each individual mesh node to strictly connect to a node designated by the user and additionally, if need be, which nodes it should not connect to. This single feature would fix 100% of the issues that I and so many other users have experienced due to utilising more than 2-3 mesh nodes on our networks that are positioned at different heights or floors, whether that’s in a shed, basement, attic, garage, etc.

Account creation issue. Trying to create account Apple Pay accounts rejected No way to contact anyone for assistance

Expensive. Yeah Space X might want to do some competitor reviews of pricing - putting the $709 equipment charge aside the monthly fee is over double that of other providers of fast broadband.

Cyber security. THIS HAS BECOME A TOTALLY RIDICULOUS SITUATION AND I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING ENDING THE USE OF THIS BECAUSE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED SOMEONE OR SOMETHING IS DELIBERATELY INTERFERING WITH ALL OF THESE SERVICES AND I HAVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THIS APP AND IT ISNT EVEN WORKING OR RECOGNISING MY OWN ACCOUNT

Block devices. Awesome service. Awesome app. Can I suggest that you allow the account holder to block devices connected to the network. At the moment if users want to block devices they have to buy a third party router because the starlink router/app doesn’t have the ability to block devices connected to the network. Would be good if we could do it on the starlink app. Thanks

Starlink is great but some weaknesses in App. I’m loving Starlink but the Range function goes red even when very close to the router, even with 3 bars of wifi and full performance. Red shouldn’t show until performance is seriously affected. Not really helpful. Also struggles when switching between installations, the last installation was a Gen 1 so it showed the shop for Gen 1 instead of for Gen 2, leaving me with a volcano mount for the new installation! 😡 But the rest of the cart (from another machine) was for Gen 2!

Poor customer service. My starlink has been damaged for about 2 months. Submitted a ticket. Service has been subpar. You’ll take my money time and time again but won’t look at my ticket? Wild.

ELON A GOAT. Yk so like I’m just an ordinary mandem from the 6ix and Elon a real inspiration fr. Whooz manz yk taking crodie to Mars? NE wayz , stay blessed fham. Imma bring my kids to your school when I have em ahlie.

Brutal, don’t waste your money. I bought it based on the app saying my location was good. In reality it’s been nothing short of brutal, literally 100 or more outages a day. Tried getting support but it’s not happening, literally ZERO support. Do not waste your money on this. Who knows how long it will take to get my money back, it won’t be easy I’m sure.

Help. I have been trying for a week to register a support ticket with Starlink. The website forces me to the app. The app isn’t showing the submit or send button/trigger in the support form. I am using IOS. Fix the app because if we can’t communicate with Starlink to manage/fix the service delivery, the service is unusable to us.

Disappointed. Terrible customer support. Of late dropped signal Buffering. Reload app but now the app won’t let me do anything other than start set up and then it won’t progress to done. If I wanted this type of poor performance I would have stayed with Xplornet.

Not worth it. If i knew what i do now i would never of bought. Service sucks. Slow and non existent at times. Nothing worse than loosing service every 7 min for no reason. Dish is in same position

Only fair. Customer service is still very hard to contact and slow to respond. It would be nice to be able to either disconnect devices from your wifi or limit data of devices. Just as an overall app it can be unfriendly for most users. Starlink could do a better job tbh just seems a bit like you’d see on a shelf at dollar general

Works Amazing. The entire system is amazing. You have to take the time to plan it out, but ultimately the result is worth the effort. The tech support is timely and very helpful. The app provides all the data you could need as well as the tools to diagnose and address any issues.

If you have any other option avoid starlink. Starlink has the worst customer service of any company o have ever dealt with. I have been without internet for over a week and in that time frame i have sent about 10 support tickets and gotten two responses from the company. They have no plan to fix my internet and the only way to reach out is via email. The response you get is a generic form where some lackey has clicked a few boxes they feel relevant to your complaint. You’re totally at the mercy of the company and I wish i hadn’t invested in the hardware. If there is any other provider with remotely good service avoid starlink it’s a scam and a waste of time and money and they will leave you out to dry with no internet. All they care about is money. It’s been 72 hours since I’ve had a response from them and then they send me the aoutonated payment reminder that another 160 CAD WILL be billed to me in a weeks time. An absolute joke of a company.

Starlink. We have attempted to contact Starlink to correct a problem that should be very easily resolved if a body had responded!! As far as the system, we were very pleased with it but customer service seems almost non-existent!!

Very poor customer service. My cable from dish to router failed. So did my brothers - right out of the box. I’m waiting a week so far for them to ship the replacement. NO URGENCY. Don’t get too dependent on Starlink!!

Sucks. Shows the wrong dish. My dish is round, not square. Don’t have room to add an asset for both versions. Sad.

Not enough costumer access on app. If you have trouble with IP address the app does nothing to help you, some internet providers have a TB link where you can go online and manually edit or delete certain IP addresses, but this one doesn’t, it’s a lot of trouble if one device stops connecting to wifi and you need to reset it’s IP to restart its connection to the network. Had this problem at least twice every year and its almost impossible every time with this provider. Jumping through hoops rn

wifi configuration?. where is it on the app? it’s not in settings. I want a password set 😤

Zero customer support. Out of nowhere, my account states it is no longer active even though the monthly payment was just processed a week before. Three days of no response from my support ticket and there is no other way to contact them. Poor customer service. $140+tax per month for absolutely no service.

Piece of crap. Ordered Starlink from a remote location. It asked if I wanted to se that location for service I said yes. Great, ordered it, it arrived, took it to my location, install went well until I got an error message that I was outside the registered location. And it doesn’t work. Checked where it thought I should be and it’s giving a location fifty kn away and refuses to log my actual location. Bought the portability option for another $30 CDN a month, Now the dish says it has no power. Even though ot does. Worst of all when I click the thumbs down icon in the app to get more support the poorly designed app crashes entirely. No way to actually call Starlink and talk to a human or even a chat-bot. So far I am completely unimpressed.

Starlink for over 2 years. Had Starlink for over 2 years speeds were good there slowing down a bit now from all the new customers being added. Download can sometimes be 20mbps or lower which is a problem. At night it increases quite a bit. Please add 2 factor authentication some people are concerned because hackers are ordering equipment on there accounts for thousands of dollars.

Doesn’t reflect website data properly. Doesn’t reflect website data properly , also spinning wheel saying something’s downloading yet never completes .. Clearly needs work , even tried deleting and reinstalling no luck

Good app, but…. The app itself is very nice and works well, having lots of good features, like speed test and statistics. However, the internet service itself (at least at northern latitudes), has been very inconsistent thus far. Hopefully it gets better when more satellites are launched, but at this point I cannot recommend Starlink.

As a satellite ground terminal installer I am impressed. I install ancient AF satellite ground terminals for work, and OMG is this a dream. It’s self acquisition is sooo 2021 (in a good way) this is the future of satcomm!! Also, a lot of the older people or less tech savvy people in my rural community are having anxiety installing this when it comes (even though it should be easy) but I’ve been doing some free work for y’all (jk volunteering) and helping them out with my child drawings of set-up diagrams and for the people who still need help I’ll give up a weekend and just install it for them because our current satcomm internet in our area is sooo slow and expensive for the sub-par service they provide. Excited about high speed coming to the Leeds and Thousand Islands!! You will probably save our job and are helping our kids to educate themselves from home during these Covid times while the govt has not stepped up.

Incredible!. The internet is lightning fast, and the app works perfectly, installation was super easy. Wish the router had a dedicated Ethernet port and didn’t require buying the adapter.

Nice Update!!. V3 Looks much better! Would however like to see this application optimized for iPad.

Working great but need new features. Should add Parental devices control (disconnect a device through the app)

Superior internet and customer support. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Speed is excellent, setup was the easiest thing ever and customer service is second to none. Every other service provider should be nervous and learn. Thank you Elon

Terrible app. The app sucks seems like more times then none it’s always glitching . Can’t access account half the time and now sleep mode is not showing up to allow me to shut it off like it don’t exist . This app really needs some improvements for the price we pay for this service, another thing would be nice when I can actually access the sleep mode would be if it had an option of choosing days of the week atm it’s very mediocre

Owned by the Worng Kind of Person. I will never use this App mostly because I fundamentally disagree with the owner on everything I can think of but especially free speech which the owner no longer honours.

Support. Starlink support is absolutely atrocious I decided to subscribe to Starlink with a first generation dish I was on a wait list for many months The system failed after 16 months One year warranty on all dishes and hardware Generation one is no longer available Was told I needed to invest another 800 dollars and purchase generation two There have been many issues with generation two from my investigations I will not be forced to purchase a new generation every two years because of poorly made dishes I have cancelled my subscription Very disappointed is an understatement

Service. Needs much faster support or a phone line. Internet being down for serval days without hearing back is rough.

Changed my life. This app changed my life, since downloading I’ve become a 3x Olympic gold medalist, defeated 5 chess grandmasters and now bench the equivalent mass of a 60 Starlink payload. I can stream the Joe Rogan Elon interview from my backyard, or the top of Mt. Everest and the ISS just emailed me to come by and show them the aliens. Absolute Game Changer.

Hello? No support. I am a person with a disability and I need to communicate with someone regarding specific issues to my situation. I am trying to get star link but I cannot get to talk to anyone at the company to make this work for me. Nothing and support offers you a way to speak to anyone. I’m downloading the app as we speak hoping that that will have something in there. there’s no way to ask a question unique to anyone’s situation. I can understand they don’t want to have heaps of staff for run-of-the-mill questions but there’s always gonna be questions that won’t be handled by an FAQ. it doesn’t seem like a good sign to me that there’s no avenue for potential customers to ask questions. it sounds like a terrific service and exactly what I need but unless I can get my questions answered I can’t consider it

Updates for speed tests. You guys put out an update for speed test but yet it says unavailable what’s the use.

Great Service but Unwanted devices. Hi good day! I’ve enjoyed Starlink so far from Nigeria. I would love to have the ability to block devices from the app Cos once they latch on, changing passwords doesn’t work for certain devices which I think hacked through somehow. Thanks

Way over priced. Not worth it way over priced and not that good of internet .

Can’t manually update. when there’s an update available? there’s no option to download the update right away.

I can’t even stay online for 10 minutes. I can’t even have 10 minutes to be online without network issues and obstruction

Worst purchase I ever made. At first, I thought it was great but the further we go, the system is still in trouble, no internet, cuts often. In short, the purchase is not worth the service they offer because it’s quite difficult to reach technical support. Very disapointed.

Suggestions for better user experience. App does its job adequately. But could use a few tweaks to improve user experience & ergonomics 1) promote “stow” feature from where it currently resides. Believe should be displayed as a “page 1” feature. Not buried 3 pages deep in three “settings” page. 2) ability for account holder to close/shut-down specific devices in the Network list Overall that app does what’s it’s supposed to do. But further effort to clean-up & streamline the app interface would be appreciated. (My feeling is this app comes across as a “pre-build” release rather than a full-fledged release. Sort of a “good enough” effort by the developers.

App Keeps Crashing. Trying to check for obstructions and the app keeps crashing. Goes to a black screen or quits completely. Login and other stuff seems to work though

New update crashes. Downloaded and installed new update. When I try to access the StarLink app it immediately crashes.

Love Starlink, the app is still glitchy.. Speed test in the app is still flaky on my IPad Air. Wifi speed never goes over.5Mbps even though it should read over 180 Mbps. No way to report it to Starlink that I can find.

iPhone 13 Pro Max. I can’t get this to work for the life of me. Crashes every time I try to look for obstructions

Absolutely useless. This version of the app wants you to stand on your roof and move your phone all over until you have covered 100% of the sky. If you can’t find that last 1% it refuses to do anything until you do. So you contort yourself into ridiculous positions trying to figure out where that last 1% is, all the while swearing louder and louder as you try to keep yourself from falling off your roof; until your neighbours seriously consider calling the loonie wagon or maybe even the police as they are worried you might be dangerous.

Does the bare minimum job…. Meets expectations and no real complaints, I guess. Exceeding expectations would’ve seen an in-built individual device management function, where wi-fi service could be controlled for particular devices right within the app.

Broken app.. App is atrociously slow. I can't even log in through the app to boot specific devices off my Starlink or to change my password.

Absolutely a joke of a provider. This company will take upwards of $1,000 from you, their equipment faults out and they’ll request additional money from you to send you replacement parts to replace defective equipment but not before you wait WEEKS for a message telling you that sucks pay us another 320$ and maybe it’ll work the third time? Probably going to call my lawyer next.

Unable to load account information. The app has an issue. When I click the person icon I get an error saying “Unable to load account information. Please try again in a few minutes.” It’s been a week. No amount of uninstalling and reinstalling, router rebooting, browser cache clearing fixes it. Without being able to login some settings are unavailable.

Review. It’s only an app. It works. Giving it 4 stars because black screens always have bothered my eyes.

Intermittent Access. Service was good for about a month and now the internet is intermittent. Very difficult to stream or have a video conference. Occasionally you go without internet for hours and have to unplug everything to reset and hope it starts working again. Customer service is terrible. Why pay $140 CAD a month for such terrible service. I only hope it gets better.

Can’t access remotely. App very glitchy and I can not access remotely to view data usage or anything else. Not real handy when dish is located at seasonal residence

Has limitations. I cannot remotely turn off the antenna. I’m running on solar and it uses a decent amount of power. So I have to go and unplug it when I don’t want to use it, it would be nice if it were a feature in the app. Even further, it would be nice if I could just program it to turn itself off during certain hours. Such as 11p-6a when I hope to be sleeping. This way it doesn’t burn down my solar batteries at night. Cool visibility feature shows me which trees it would benefit me most to cut down next. Could/does the stow feature reduce the antenna’s power consumption?

I am trying to get. Iv been on a waiting list for a year now my app says disconnected and my deposit say refunded try to put a new deposit down and it say email already in use please help

Good System, Non Existent support. As long as your system works properly it’s a great service. If you need service good luck. I have been sending messages for 24hrs cause of a malfunctioning Ethernet adapter. There is no number to call and the support chat option has become increasingly harder to find over the last year. Reading through a hundred self help questions is your only real option. It’s sad when your only review or complaint option for a service is the supporting app

Excellent except adding mesh nodes.. The app works well, but some standard routing features are not built in, but for most people this is ok. My only issue with the app has been adding additional mesh nodes. There is a popup that says a new unit wants to join the network. When I tap it, nothing happens. Still trying to figure it out. I sopped the only other negligible issue is that you can and get zero obstruction, but later in use it shows obstructed when nothing has changed. Slightly annoying.

I want to work for star link and four Mr. Elon Musk. This will dynamically change the way people live in the world because people will be able to access full spectrum broadband from anywhere in the world along with a solar panel this puts you in business anywhere in the jungle or on top of the mountains I look forward so much to using this and hope to work forSpaceX and specifically Starlink one day... sincerely Dr. Auby J Curtis

Local Network Permission demanded. Still does not work after allowing it to snoop my entire local network: “Starlink unreachable.” and “Router unreachable.” Updated app, rebooted phone and router. Still no connection. Had WiFi mode off and using wire working fine, but it came back on after power outage. Frying my brain. Having signs of brain damage now, burning skin, twitches, headaches, super loud tinnitus, electric shock feeling with each heartbeat which is much worse at night. Woke up screaming twice last night, numb hand with no nerve compression.

Still waiting. Over a year ago I paid the deposit, and told all my neighbors now they have there’s and I still have heard nothing. I paid another $99. Last month because there is no way to talk or have any corresponding. I really need this service would appreciate if anyone knew how to reach find someone and find out where mine is, since I already gave you 5 Other customers .

Live in middle of no where. I had Hughes internet before I got Starlink ,so glad I switched. Paying the same amount for 5 times better the service. The app shows where your obstruction are. It took me a half hour to install myself. I live in middle of no where Iowa. Very pleased with my purchase.

Bad Product and Worse Support. Purchased the RV starlink with portability and the app gets stuck claiming I need to use the device at the registered address during the first ever setup. The app’s FAQ provides directions to update the service address, but editing location brings me to a page without a map or address fields as the FAQ suggests. I know SpaceX likes to pretend they’re a tech company with a Apple like product, but until their product is stands alone, they need to have real tech support. My ticket has been sitting for almost a week unanswered.

More options.. The excellent application, very easy to understand, has many options such as measuring internet speed, seeing obstructions, how many devices are connected to my network, etc. They should implement an option in which the internet can be blocked or removed from the cell phone that is on my Starlink network, from the application.

No communication. Quickly and efficiently took my deposit. After that I heard nothing for over 6 months. This “roll out” was way too early. They have no way of fulfilling the orders. You can’t call or communicate with anyone. There is no customer help. Musk got a little ahead of himself. Deleted and requested my deposit back. We’ve lived without reliable internet for this long and we’ll just have to continue to do so.

Support the future of humanity. I, like many of you will continue to support any and all endeavors it takes to continue humanitarian efforts into the future. I will financially support this company and it’s future as much as I am able. Anything to have another option other than Comcast. I am signed up for the early beta testing program! Hoping to be chosen soon!!

Some features broken. Unusable for older devices. Check for obstructions feature does not work at all. Have tried several devices. Used to work great on a much older build. Just roll it back please. App is also crashing frequently Also does not work well with older devices, iPhone 7 and older, the app is unusable because of how bad it lags. It’s just text and some graphs!!!

Great Service. I have tried many types of service from a remote location. From tv satellite network to cellular options and direct line of site towers. This has been the best most consistent service. Pulling 200mbps pretty normal 100Mbps on stormy days. I have a fair amount of automation 35-40 devices connected most of the time. I would recommend to anybody.

Great start!. We used to have DSL and then tried an off brand using cell towers for internet in rural Wisconsin. Recently received the Starlink setup and absolutely appreciate the improvement we’ve seen. We went from 8-20Mbs at best to >120Mbs more consistently. The far very impressed with the better than beta testing Starlink has rolled out. Can’t wait to see how this grows!

Horrible. Worked amazing for about 2 months and now it drops internet constantly. App lies saying you get 160mb/s but phone has no internet and asks if I want to use my cellular service. When troubleshooting it gives options to try and asks if they work. When you hit the thumb down the app crashes. I’ve had a service ticket open for 2 weeks now and have had no response. Thankfully I kept my T-Mobile home internet. Plugged that back in and we all have internet again. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money on Starlink.

Web interface lockout. Star link does offer some amazing speeds and is honestly very easy to get going. The only reason it isn't rated higher is because I had to download an app to access some of the settings of the star link router. This is an unnecessary step requiring me to borrow a phone. Other than that pretty good service.

requires iPhone 13?. I could not run the visibility checker as it asks for a setting under Privacy which my iPhone XS doesn’t have. It is the System Services > Compass Calibration feature. Searching for this problem, I found references to a requirement for iPhone 13. IOS is up to date so it’s not clear why it fails.

Thanks for fast access. Thanks to Starlink for locating a satellite over my house in an area that had no options. It is a life changer for us rural backwoods rednecks. Excellent service and the changes in the app reflect a commitment to serve their customers.

Confused. I received an email with my tracking number so I downloaded the app. But the app kept crashing when I clicked on “check for obstructions”. It would flash the path for location services/compass calibration just before it would crash so I got that turned on but continues crashing when I click “check for obstructions” so not sure how this is gonna work out. It flashes “find an open area” and “scan the entire sky” as it crashes. Hopefully they fix this before my equipment shows up. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Amazing. thank you for bringing dependable internet to rural areas! When you have some time can you add a little slider in the app to stop connection of devices. Our app says we have 14 devices and I think they are duplicates. Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!

Unable to block devices. The app is good but is missing a huge opportunity when it comes to block devices connected to the network, having to change the password every week it’s a bit annoying. Also this feature would be great if you want to restrict internet access to kids at certain times.

Can’t wait. Can’t get Comcast, hate Hughesnet, dsl was horrible service. I have a Verizon mobile hotspot, its signal gets distributed thru a Mac mini, that shares its wireless to Ethernet, which I have 3 wireless devices hooked to. I have 5 high definition cams hooked to it. Slow as $&@/ but it does work. Cannot wait for real internet access. 5 stars when I get the service.

Good App but crashes. I recently have had issue getting the dish to get power. When clicking the “Starlink Disconnected” button, it provides some things to check. At the bottom, it asks if those things solved the issue. Click the thumbs down, a field to type a message for Support comes up and then immediately crashes. Every time. Other than that, app functionality appears smooth and well built.

New update broke the app. After the newest update I can no longer change any setting for my starlink router. It still connect to the router and I can run speed tests but no longer change setting or see account info. This also prevents you being able to send a support ticket. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I can still access my account online but that’s it. Very frustrating. Starlink needs to fix this fast.

App cannot check for obstacles in iPhone 12 Pro Max. The overall app is well designed and it works well. However, whenever I go to check for obstacles on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, it says my phone doesn’t have the features required to use the tool. It worked on my iPhone 6s. Just want to let SpaceX know so they can fix it

Still Needs a Little Work. The setup and configuration is extremely easy, and the app makes it easier. However, after upgrading my iPhone I can no longer use the app for anything other than viewing my billing information. It’s stuck believing I have no equipment and either need to purchase or setup. I just want to view the status of my already installed equipment.

So grateful!. We live very rural and had zero internet access. We just got our Starlink today and even with torrential rain, we have blazing fast speeds. This is such a game changer that will help connect people globally and bring knowledge and information to so many. This will change ours and so many lives for the better. Thank you Elon and Starlink.

Rural Missouri internet needs this. I live where if I want internet, I have to use poor cell coverage or pay to have cable or fiber brought in for thousands of dollars. So the option that was available was Hughes-net, which at best is 15-20 down/ 700k up @ 600ms. I cannot even use an ip phone due to lag. This will be great when I have coverage.👍

App is meh. App seems to work fine, no real complaints. Some basic settings options like light and dark Would love to see the ability to rename devices on the network, as well as the ability to remove/delete them. The ability to see how much data each is using would be nice. How about the ability to prioritize a device??

Losing functionality. The last two releases of the app have eliminated some useful features for those who are running in bypass mode. No longer can I access the statistics or even connect to the Starlink. It would be great to get those resources visible again in the app.

Now I can stream Shrek in 8k. I Converted my starlink satellite into an orbital strike device, and have blown up the entire Russian nuclear Arsenal and anyone that says they have my IP address. Using the low latency provided by the low earth orbit, I was also able to beat Kim Jong Un in a heated game of CSGO. Overall 5 stars, great product. (Also my Mario kart wii multiplayer sessions are less laggy)

All hail Elon musk. It’s a wonderful app and internet service. It has a few flaws, like not being able to install a vpn onto the router, other than that Starlink internet is glorious and i encourage you to spend a lot of money on it.

So simple, and wicked fast so far. I live in the middle of nowhere northern Idaho and internet has been a long term challenge... this thing took 3 minutes to set up, literally, and while we will see what coverage looks like around the clock, right now it just clocked off at 64 up / 16 down with 35ms lag. Wow. Impressed and the network is still being built. Well done guys.

Speed, what else is there. We bought six Starlink systems for a few desert properties. There is nothing on the market that is faster or more consistent. It's elementary to set up. Starlink is 10 times as fast in the middle of the desert as in the middle of the city. For those that are mathematically challenged, ten times is a lot faster! Yes, the cost is higher. My Sonos speakers don’t work. But it’s 10 times faster than spectrum in the city. I’m confident they will solve the speaker issue, or Sonos will figure it out. If not, the opportunity will be left for another speaker. One of the Starlinks is the RV version. I use it anywhere, and I get monster speed on the move.

App issues. I downloaded the app when I set up the star link satellite. However, my app does not look like the app in the App Store. I am missing all major functions such as settings, network, and speed test. I want to set the satellite for private with password, but I can’t because I have no ‘settings’ button to access Wi-Fi configuration. It is very frustrating when there is no IT support for this product. I have open a ticket with this issue 4 times without resolution.

No customer support option of any kind. Purchased starlink, it is not working as advertised. Lights on router don’t function. The only way to determine router is on is by touching its body. Dish looses signal every few min, it goes into sleep before starting new search. No way to get any help through app. No call, chat or email option

More could be done. I should have the ability to block or remove some connected devices that are connected to my router from the app. I gave my neighbor the WI-FI password and he shared with his all house. I had to change the password which was a pain because all of my home devices where connected. TV Playstation, laptop....😂 also the starlink software update are a headache to update.

Cannot Edit Service Address. Although we are only on the ‘first come-first serve’ list I find I am unable to edit the service address in this program. Editing is only available for email and phone number. Also cannot send an email via their support contact with any topic other than a refund/cancellation topic....which is not our intent.

Speed Test Concerns. Been using the Starlink app for over a year and a half now after installing the system. Speed test always says not available when I first try to use it? Never get the same results from a standard speed test the advanced one? Which one is right? Why the two speed tests? I also use another app just to see which one of the three is closest to being right.

Internet from space baby. I live in the sticks I had fiber at the bottom of my hill and that refuse to come up so i have waited for Starlink to be available at my location and now there have and I have fast low latency internet and the app helps out a lot.

Rural. I just hooked up my StarLink satellite internet. I’m on the BEST EFFORT list because the satellites here are saturated. All I can say it has been years that I’ve operated with dial up speeds!! I’m amazed. However, every time I log in, it makes me change my password because I’m locked out due to invalid credentials!!!

Happy Navajo Techie. I’m so happy we will pretty much go from 56K dialup to 225mb download at a price difference of $30 wit subsidies to come for low income families. Being apart of the Navajo Cyber team this is almost to good to be true to reach our most remote families who don’t have digital equity. We will rise together!

Worse customer service than AT&T and Comcast combined….. First, this is for remote user who cant get internet otherwise… But if you need support, you have to have internet… Catch 22…. Second. They ask you to send dat logs through this app… but, you cant copy and paste into the chat… cant send screenshots. Cant send docs… tried multiple devices… no luck.. Any service is only as good as the support you receive… Ive been without internet for days… and without any real support.. and no phone number to call… give me a call!!

Impatiently Waiting!. My ISP has taught me patience but I’m impatiently waiting to install Starlink. For years, I’ve been trying to run a business with DSL speeds ranging from 0.3-0.7 mbps. It’s the best presently available in my small community 30 miles from the nearest town in SE Utah. The “check for obstructions” feature verified that my planned install location is perfect.

THANK U ELON MUSK ❤️❤️❤️. before the greatest / most affordable internet was released i was paying $150 buck for satellite internet which was HORRENDOUS with speeds no better that 10 upload , 3 download … I was getting absolutely ripped off , but now i’m the happiest camper & im never changing providers Elon you stole my heart with Starlink the worlds BEST internet provider ❤️❤️❤️ love u elon !!!

An excellent way to manage and monitor your StarLink. I use this app regularly to check the state of my system. Before your order you should use the obstruction tool to find a suitable location for your dish at home. When your system arrives the app is necessary and invaluable for viewing detailed information presented in straightforward ways.

Application Service and support.. The app is great for an iPhone. The app Doesn’t scale on iPad and keyboard characters are off. The internet service. In the USA the speeds have dropped as of Feb 2023 from 100+ to about 30Mbps and 2.1 up at times a little more and less. Support does not exist. Sure you can open a ticket and no response for days!. I do not recommend Starlink unless you truly have no cell service. At lease cellphone companies have support.

Overrated, Unreliable Product. You are better off buying a large data plan or a cellular home internet. If/when your starlink fails, support is abysmal, and if they decide to replace a part of the system, expect to wait at least a month. In the meantime, the app is so poorly made that in contacting support, the app will rack up gigabytes of cellular data for no clear reason. Why should a chat use SO much data? Not the mention abhorrent router range and bandwidth where the only consistent attribute is that it’s worse than cellular.

Worth the entry price. I never write reviews but after having Starlink for 3 months it’s amazing, iv never been able to have wifi where I live but now with Starlink I consistently get speeds up to 180mps, gaming is flawless, I can stream 4k video with zero lag, if you live somewhere rural and your on the fence about Starlink go ahead an order it
