App Randomly stops tracking. Very impressed with the level of detail this app captures. The issue I had was it would randomly stop tracking. If you didn’t constantly keep checking you might end the day, like I did, discovering that half your day wasn’t tracked. Also Adding a Buddy is overly complicated. Wanted to add my two sons who are connected to my Icon account but still had to send them a text invite. Not sure why it can’t be easier to add your other pass holders.

Great useful app!. Comprehensive app provides an incredible amount of info and functionality; connection with friends including geolocation on the mountain, in-app texting, real-time mountain info including open and closed lifts and wait times, weather info, mountain trail conditions… everything you need for a great ski day.

The latest edition is awful. Someone changed the logic so it doesn’t work unless you have an active internet connection so they can track you. All other skiing apps will let you load a map from your phone’s memory and track you via GPS until you get to the lodge and may be in wifi or cellular range. Not this app! Even if you have skied the same resort before and have the base map stored in your phone, this app won’t start your tracking session unless they can connect to the IKON servers to they can send you ads and collect your marketing information. Did you forget to start the app until your at the top of the chair? Too bad. You don’t get credit for any runs you did in the back bowls. Skiing a new place with friends? The app needs 2 minutes to collect that marketing information from your phone before you can start your session or join theirs. It’s ridiculous, especially considering I have two other apps that always start immediately.

Start tracking. It’s very frustrating to hit the start tracking button and then end your day to find out that nothing was tracked because you missed a prompt to track for solo or friends. I don’t want to be asked that I just want to track my statistics please make it so I can turn that option off and when I hit start tracking it starts to track.

So close to perfect. Love the app especially the tracking feature. Was sad to see that one hour of our day was not tracked yesterday. We were skiing under the gondola at Winter Park from Hughes to Norwegian, attempting our top speeds. And the app just would not track here. Would also love to add the pass barcode so that if I don’t have my pass I can still get food discounts. They scan the barcodes at Winter Park.

Room for improvement. The friend group feature needs a lot of improvement. Why can't I permanently add friends instead of needing to create a new session every time I start tracking? If people stop and start tracking to save battery they have to click the link every time they restart tracking to get back into the group. Additionally, having to actually hit start tracking is really annoying considering the EpicMix app is able to track via lift check in points. Also, if someone has one account and two ikon passes (family), the app can't figure out how to differentiate the two users, preventing you from tracking more than one of those people at a time.

Unable to track all stats. Love that IKON got its own app, but so far have been disappointed in its functionality. I’ve used the EpicMix app for years and have never had issues with it showing the vertical feet, lifts, etc. and so far I have been skiing 6 times at 4 different Colorado resorts with IKON. The only information it has show is my total days and destinations, no other stats load. I’ve made sure location services and data is on, still no difference. Hopefully they fix this soon or I’ll stick to SkiTracks.

First time using. Having login problems. Layout seems nice and looks like a good app though I cannot log in. After I entered my credentials on the pop up window the app says there was an error communicating with the server and retry later. Has done this for about 3 days now. No luck. Not sure if I entered information wrong either because if I go to sign in again the pop up window comes up real quick then disappears. So it won’t let me enter my credentials again.

Amazing going to so many areas. My bf Dave took us to snowbird/Alta... loved how we can pass through the ‘toll booth’ gates and now we are at Brighton /solitude!! So fun !! 3 weeks ago we went to steamboat and Aspen!!! So happy we have the Icon passes to experience so many wonderful areas in our country... also having Mammouth mountain as our home base!!

Can we have international measurements?. Cons: The resorts are not all in the US and the users are even more varied. It would be great to set the measurement by user’s preferences. Pros: I like the map-based feature, I can see where is crowded and the location of my friends. Also, I don’t need to download another APP to track my status. Great improvement.

Game changer when on the mountain with friends. This app is amazing. The tracking and stats are really fun but my favorite part is the ability to see exactly where your friends in your group are on the mountain, even down to the exact trail or what % up a lift they are. This is a huge deal and made our trip to Steamboat so much less stressful. A game changer for any group of friends or family.

Tracking good, friends bad. Using next to my Garmin watch I’m getting a fairly good (if not slightlygenerous) tracking for speed and runs, but I don’t expect that to be perfect. It works for what it is. Adding friends however, is abysmal. I send my ikon pass holder friend the link and it does nothing. Tried this with multiple friends. Tweaked iPhone settings, permissions, restarted etc and nothing. Just seems to be a completely non working feature. And when I called customer service their main advice: make sure GPS is on. No reason why this shouldn’t work, but they just can’t seem to figure that out.

So... I like it, but it drops far too often. I like this app, but it loses connection and stops tracking far too often. At Big Sky last week it dropped me every time I went to Mineral Basin... I lost thousands of feet of vertical. It seems that the app needs an internet connection (beyond a GPS connection) to continue to work. I hope that in the future it might continue to track while only a GPS signal is available and store that data so that when an internet connection is available it can update the additional levels of specificity.

When it works it’s great. The app recently stopped working for me and my friends. Now it just says “something went wrong” when I go to my profile, even after reinstalling, logging out, logging in, etc. Will change review if they fix it before I miss out on another day of tracking.

App never works. In past seasons the app worked most of the time, but occasionally it would stop recording a session. I enjoyed being able to see my runs, top speed, friend’s locations, resort info, etc.. Now the app doesn’t work 9/10 times I open it. It keeps saying “error” or “try again” and won’t show me anything. I can’t view resort info, season stats, or my profile. I keep deleting and redownloading the app but it’ll only work once before it glitches again.

Good app like the leaderboard on each mountain.. Wish I could see map data of where speeds were hit, although I understand why Alterra didn’t want to implement that feature since it could lead to reckless skiing. Sometimes the trail and lift information don’t always pull up the list of what is open and closed.

High utility!. I’m actually willing to expose my bare hand while on the mountain to check this app because it is so helpful! Wish you could just track multiple people on the same mountain without all having to be in the same group but other than that, it’s perfect!

Better than Epic. The Ikon app is definitely better than the Epic Mix app. The buddy tracking system is incredible for when you have a big group of people! However, there is one thing that the Epic Mix does better. On there, you can filter runs by different criteria to show up on the map, including only showing groomed runs. Thats really useful for people searching for the nicest runs of the day.

Pretty useless app. You can’t do much on the Ikon app besides understand what the Ikon pass provides. You can’t make reservations on it. You can’t map out a trip on it. It’s pretty much worthless and doesn’t provide any added value that you can’t get from the website. Invest in some app developers and make a product that provides real useful value. And I can’t submit a review because the “nicknames are taken” there’s no way the stuff I’m making up is taken.

Can’t make or cancel reservations on the App!!. So annoying that you can’t make or cancel reservations on the app. There should be an easy clickable way to do this directly from the app but instead you have to log in to the Ikon website and do it from there. For such a huge business, not being able to the from their App is ridiculous - you don’t have people who can add that to your App?

Good when you've got coverage, useless otherwise. The app does a solid job at what it aims to do when you've got mobile data coverage, but it will do essentially nothing (other than continue to track your movement) if you don't have coverage. This means that if you're somewhere without coverage (many if not most places in a ski resort) and want to look at a map, you can't. You also can't start tracking (even without sharing your location with others) without coverage. Since I don't track myself the whole day (for phone battery reasons), the app is generally non-functional 80% of the time I want to use it due to not having cell coverage. Caching the list of resorts and maps for offline access would solve this problem. Additionally, allowing users to start tracking without coverage should be quite feasible. The app is 80% of the way there in terms of functionality but only 40% of the way there in terms of real-world usability. Realizing the remaining 60% is not hard though.

Something Changed. I have used the app all season 60+ days. It worked great until about two weeks ago the app stopped about every 10 minutes. I have to “rejoin group” and end up loosing at least half of my activity for the day. I see by the recent reviews I am not the only on having problems. I have repeatedly tried every fix to no avail. I hope it can be restored to the way it worked in December and January.

Not great with watch. Great app for tracking if you have the pass. Could be we some friends improvements on Apple Watch— cannot both use watch for tracking and join a group of friends tracking. Would love to track on app and have heart rate monitored on watch, instead you need to hack it and do a workout on watch while tracking on phone app to get accurate calories and heart rate

2022 season issues. Overall the app works great. Sharing locations with friends so we can find each other easily is a great addition. However, In the last 4 weeks I’ve had to delete the app 7 times so far when I get the ‘oops something went wrong’ message and reinstall. Nothing major but annoying when you’re out on the mountains and it glitches again and nothing works. This is when I have Wi-Fi and using data.

Terrible Tracking System. There is not much the application can do that is specific to the application, other than tracking across multiple IKON resorts. This is frankly one of the worst tracking systems I have ever experienced! Even though my location services is turned to, “always,” constantly click, “start tracking,” and leave the phone in the mobile application, it still fails to track and keeps leaving the session. If anyone out there can fix this, it would be much appreciated.

Horrible. Been using a tracker for years . Although there are some great features such as seeing the others you can invite in , the tracking is completely inaccurate and the app shuts off randomly missing runs . Very strange , tracks then doesn’t . Even lost a whole day even though right before I shut it off the day was there . When you guys get this right please add a feature where you can create your ski group and do not have to add folks every day on the hill. I’m looking forward to the bigs being worked out.

Great idea, poor execution. The app is a great idea and has some great features. The issue is that half the time the tracking does not want to start and will require a dance of killing the app and toggling airplane mode to get tracking to start. When tracking does run, it is not accurate. I run ski tracks at the same time on the same phone and the results very widely; however, when doing the math on vertical feet ski tracks is always more accurate. Furthermore the ikon tracking (vert ft) will vary wildly between friends that are running the app and skiing the exact same runs as me. Finally the app has randomly stopped tracking, leaving my totals much lower than they should be. Additional suggestion. Allow us to have ikon friends so we don’t have to send out invites to join a tracking group EVERY DAY!

Good features, terrible performance. I really like this app when it works. Being able to track your day along with your friends is great, but most of the time now when I open the app at a resort it doesn’t work at all. Can’t tell where I am, doesn’t know I’m at the mountain, crashes constantly, etc. Disappointed by this but if it was fixed it’d be five stars. Right now its unusable for me

Awesome! Wish I could see friend speeds. The app is awesome and seeing your stats is super fun. It would be even more fun if you could see friends speeds. It would also be nice to be able to zoom all the way out on the maps. It only lets you zoom out a bit and that can be annoying when trying to get perspective on a new mountain. Other than that, it’s great!

I can’t believe this app has such high rating. I have had problems with both the IKON app and their website since Alterra acquired a ski resort where I and my family has been skiing since forever. The latest development was that after downloading and installing a new version (22/23 season) I can’t login into the app at all. It just doesn’t open the keyboard for me to enter my e-mail/password. For the money I am paying I find this beyond infuriating. I guess this is the last season I am skiing on any Alterra/ikon pass location. Ciao!

Awesome concept, poorly executed. It’s pretty convenient having all the mtn information accessible through the app. Great idea for tracking friends, days gone, and all the other stats, but I cannot trust the numbers at all. Season stats and season totals are different, not counting a day ridden or a lift taken. Would be nice to have the pass id in the app. 1st world problems, but hopefully this stuff is fixed by next season.

1.1.0 finally stopped the crashes. The previous version never ran for a day without crashing, throwing away my credentials and my group and not restarting. The max speed thing is pretty cool, though there’s no leaderboard for that. I like the way it knows you hit the park because it’s not just tracking your lift rides, unlike the competition. Now we just need cameras by the jumps.

Frustrated iPhone user. I have had to remove and install the app once every two to three days for the past few weeks so I can access it. I keep getting the " Oops. Something went wrong... Looks like it's something on our end. We'll take a look as soon as we can.". I went on the website and got the run around from your ai customer service that was no help but also said you would look into the problem. Well, you've had two weeks. Why do I give you thousands of dollars for access to your resorts and get no response or help?

Removed speed tracking. Likely due to our overly litigious society, they caved and removed speed tracking. Now you'll need to use yet another app to track a specific metric. And prior speed data is hidden too. The new stats interface is a downgrade. At least the map info and location tracking is the same. Still more useful than the Epic app.

Great features; however, they don’t work. In theory, this app is incredible. To be able to track your progress, see your speed, altitude, which runs you went on, their degree of difficulty, and how many calories you burned is a lot of fun. The problem is that this service rarely works. We ski’d for 6 days and it worked twice. When I sent an e-mail to customer service, 24 hours later they said log out, delete it and then re-install it. I tried that twice and it didn’t help. Fix the bugs so we can rate it 5 stars! Without this service, all this app is is one big advertisement for Ikon Pass which is absurd because I have to assume that anyone that would download this app is already a pass holder. If you want to make reservations or change something you need to go to the Ikon website. You cannot do it from the app.

Doesn’t do much. The only useful function I’ve gotten from this app is being able to see how many “Days Scanned” I’ve used and at which resorts. I’ve never been able to figure out how to activate daily run tracking, no “Tracking” button shows up even when I use the app at an Ikon resort. I am reading in reviews that the app has to be deleted and re-downloaded. So far the app reports zero activity, zero vertical feet despite 7 days of skiing at Ikon resorts. I’m using the Slopes app and redundantly the Strava app to track actual activity, runs, vert, maps, top speed, etc, and those apps work at all resorts, not just Ikon resorts.

Reservation system fails. The app is generally good but a key component is flawed. The reservation system fails when you try to look at your reservations or get new ones. An error message says “email needed for this function” even though I’m signed into my email. Deleting the app and reloading sometimes works but then oddly it occurs again. Ikon tech support told me just to use a laptop or go through the browser. Not ideal

Great app but tracking needs to fixed. The app is great when it works. However, it has logged me out of my session without any warning and the days session is gone without any hope of recovering it. Attempting to restart the app and starting tracking requires an internet connection, so I couldn’t start tracking again until I got service on my phone. Since service is not guaranteed in the mountains it should not be assumed there is always an data connection.

Reservations. I love the app! There are a few things that can be worked on though. Adding a buddy to the tracking system so we can track each other didn’t seem to work for us. The last thing that would be helpful is the fact that a lot of mountains require us to make reservations, it would be nice if we could reserve days at certain mountains on the app instead of having to go to the website. Maybe both of these things can be completed with ease and we just messed it up. Anyways the app is amazing and so is the Ikon Pass! Worth every penny for a skier or boarder.

unreliable even after tons of feedback. when it works this app is very good, but it does not always work. i have used it over 60 ski days and over 1,000,000 vertical this season. Finding your connected buddies on the mountain is cool... however ... this app has CONSTANTLY been disconnecting me and even logging me out. i need to “rejoin session” after almost every run. and then often re-invite buddies too. lately its been more annoying than useful. Seems it chokes once you pass 800,000 vertical, so it may be due to a max memory per user issue? This is happening to many users. We have been giving feedback since last year. The problem is well known and should be easily fixed by an amateur coder. C’mon alterra. Spend the little bit to fix a simple problem. Make It happen please.

Difficult to use. Now that we have to make reservations at many resorts because of Covid, can you pls do 2 things: (1) Reduce the number clicks from the app home page to get to where you can manage your reservations. I can never find it, it’s buried from the home page. (2) can you proactively send notifications to people when their ‘favorite’ resorts add or change reservation requirements? You know which resorts are my favorites. You know when reservation requirement changes are made by resorts. But I don’t, and unless I check in on the app every single day and manually check, I can’t tell. Can you solve that for us? Thank you. Then I will rate the app higher!

Tons of info, except for the info you need. When you click on a destination, the app should clearly tell you the reservation policy and allow you to make a reservation. It does not do this. Some of the reservation-required destinations have a link directly to make a reservation. Others don’t, you have to go to the pass website. Give me the information I need about reservations quickly and easily. Let me make a reservation right from the app. Crystal, deer valley and big sky all require reservations, but this info is not available on the destination information, nor the ability to make a reservation directly. This is a fail. Why else would I use the app?

Not a great company. Beware when buying a pass from ikon, this company and its customer service are not great. I had bought the ikon base pass for the first time this season and did not buy insurance, I am a confident skier and was already spending tons $$$ on the pass. During my first trip and first day of use, I fell and was severely injured on the hill. The doctor told me I am out for the rest of the season and wrote a note for me to give to ikon. I called ikon shortly after, waited forever to talk to someone & they would not refund or even defer my pass to the next season since 1 it was past the deferral date & 2 I had already used the pass. I am now out tons of money from buying the pass and paying doctor bills. I understand the risk when skiing but ikon could have at least differed my pass or given a partial refund. The pass is way too expensive to not offer something like that, especially with doctors confirmation of injury.

Tracking Not Great. Fix it to auto tacking when your lift pass tags the chairlift!!!!!! This is the first year I’ve had IkonPass, usually I do the epic Pass and I loved that it (EPIC) tracks every left you go on when tagging your pass to get on the lift and then you can tell your vertical feet and all the chairlifts that you’ve been on. This one is a little different where you actually have to click start tracking in the beginning and then it tracks actual runs you go on which is cool, and speed etc. IF it would actually work. I turned it on to track and it said that I only skied for 1.5 hours even though I skied about 5 hours. So now I don’t have my real stats. And it’s going to be annoying to remember to turn on the start tracking every time I ski..sigh Another complaint is why can’t I reserve a day to ski on the mountain through the app??? Why do I have to go to the web page in browser to book? App is ok but definitely could use some fixes. Seems pretty basic at the moment, hopefully it’ll get better....we pay enough for this pass.... Fix the App!!!

Can’t reserve days through the app. The app functions alright for the most part, but you can’t reserve days for resorts through the app. This is a function that would be easy to add rather than having it take you to their website to login it. The tracking also doesn’t work fantastically, but I find that’s typical with these kinds of apps. There’s some nice fun facts about resorts though, which I guess is cool 🤪👍

The IKON App Is Awful. This is my first year on IKON. On my first day I thought the IKON app was better than EPIC because it was GPS driven. However, one day I skied for five hours and for some reason it stopped tracking 2.5 hours into the day. It was weird because at the end of the day I had to push the button to stop tracking, but then looking at the stats it only had a partial day. Today I started skiing at Alta then went to the Snowbird side and none of the Snowboard data was recorded. It started tracking again when I went back to Alta to go to my car. There should have been something to indicate that I would have to stop tracking at Alta, start at Snowbird, then stop Snowbird and start at Alta. Ridiculous!!!! Finally, the app only shows the recent day stats instead of allowing me to scroll back to prior days to review where I had skied. Send your programmers back to the drawing board for some necessary improvements. BTW the EPIC PASS App is EPIC!!!!!

Great App...But. I was so stoked when IKON came out with this app. The tracking works great, I love having access to all the trail maps, and the weather updates are nice too. Seeing how many days I’ve used and where I’ve skied is great too. The only thing that drives me nuts is that EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app it asks me to enable push notifications. I DO NOT WANT these notifications, but every time I look at the app I have to close this out. So frustrating and annoying.

App is useless for using Ikon pass. Reservations are required for Ikon pass resorts. The app does not have any option for making a reservation (or parking reservation) - except to open a window for the webpage. The webpage does not work - it simply requires sign in over and over in a loop. Why have an app where the required process to use the Ikon Pass isn’t available? A saved webpage works (and saves passwords), so this app has no functionality for the most basic need for Ikon pass holders. Please allow reservations on the app - preferably it should be the first option. Instead there are four steps to open a webpage (that doesn’t function), that requires entering a password even when I’m logged into the app. The app is straight up useless garbage for making reservations - and I hate Ikon for making it so difficult to make reservations. Is it intentionally bad?

Hoping for a few more features. The app works well and I like the tracking features. However I personally started tracking on the Slopes app instead now because it syncs with Strava so I can track my workout. I would love if the Ikon app allowed this fitness functionality as well. Also please make it easier to make reservations on the app. I don’t even think it’s possible right now and it’s always a pain when I want to go to Brighton

Winter Park to Mammoth Mountain. Since I bought my IKON pass, I have been able to ski with my daughter who is attending Colorado University in Boulder. Spring skiing was available for me on my new pass at Winter Park, so, we checked this out, and it was super fun. Great bonding time, and memories made with my daughter. Last weekend, I went to Mammoth with some of my friends. We all had a blast, and skied for three days. It snowed on the last day, and actually got some pow pow. I highly recommend getting the pass. I would not have gone on those trips, unless I had it! Thank you, Bruce Ridill

Location Tracking Missing. Latest update caused location tracking to drop. The setting options is not available and as such my Watch no longer can track my day.

Doesn’t track season stats. Homepage says accurately that I had 19 days. When I click on details shows I have 7…

Tracker not working. This is a great app when the tracker works. But it doesn’t work so the app is obsolete.

Link pass doesn’t work. I had the app for a while before I purchased the Ikon pass. Using the new login email the app couldn’t connect with Ikon Pass correctly, please help.

IKON is the best. We love our IKON passes. So far we had used it in Eastern Canada but we’re venturing out west in the Canadian and US Rockies this year. Thank you for life defining moments.

Never loads. Constantly says “oops somethings wrong” and doesn’t load the destination. Doesn’t matter if it’s strong wifi or network… still does it.

Metric?. The App is great and gives good info. However, the information is given in Miles per hour, Miles and Feet. Could you please add an option of the metric system so that we can get the stats in km/h, km and metres. You could also add an option for a 24-hour clock format.

Ikon Pass Has Lost Its Value. When it first came the pass was worth the money! I loved it! I skied all season at Blue Mountain and used it for trips out west and to VT. Now it has restrictions, blackouts, different levels, requires reservations at vacation spots like Jackson Hole, etc. Next year I will buy a 5x7 at Blue and passes as I need them when I travel.

Meh, bring back speed. The app was fun to use to understand different things like speed and conditions. They removed speed tracking for no reason and deleted your historical data. So, cars shouldn’t have speedometers bc people might speed if they can see how fast they’re going ? What nonsense, just download slopes instead.

Great app. App gives all the info you need Obviously it doesn’t work if you forget to turn it on It would be nice if it turned itself on as you went thru the first loading gate

Doesn’t really do anything. Very disappointed. App seems to only tally the days of skiing at Ikon resorts. The Slopes app generates much more interesting data. -maps runs, calculates time in lift and time skiing. Ikon should look into acquiring it. New RFID data is not tied into app

Removed the ability to star mountains!!. Great app but they removed the ability to star mountains I loved the fact that I could check snow forecast for every mountain I had starred immediately without having to click on each one individually

Great app. Love seeing my stats. Top speeds, even tracking runs over day. Joining a group of friends and seeing where they are on the mountain. Super cool. Only thing I wish is that there was a watch version.

Great App buuuuut..... The app overall is great. My only complaint that I hope they’ll fix ASAP is that whenever I try to track my location with my group it never works. You hit the link to track your friends and it proceeds to only track yourself every time. Please fix this glitch!!!

Ridiculously stupid policies, screwing customers. I ordered my pass and tried to change my photo for this season. Because I ordered my pass AFTER they ‘lock’ date for when they start printing (ordered Sep. 11th) they can’t update my photo, even when I contact customer support 10 min after ordering the pass. I love ikon, but this it’s an absolutely idiotic and ridiculous policy based on laziness, not customer support.

No stats or recording. Garbage app. Shows I went to several resorts this season but when I click on each visit no data and only says data will show up in 24 to 48 hours. Days after each visit no data. For the outrageous price of a season pass they should use that money to fix the app. Not worth my time to download. Use a GPS watch instead.

Poor altitude tracking. This app requires constant GPS tracking to be turned on to track runs/altitude. I don’t want to drain my phone battery with this. Plus it requires me to remember to turn on tracking each and every time. The EPIC pass app handles this by tracking the lifts used to know the altitude. It does this automatically, no manual steps by me needed. In this category, EPIC is the winner.

Needs some work. I like the app it’s got some cool features that the epic mix app doesn’t have; however, I think it’s incredibly lame that it can’t start tracking by simply being scanned on the first run of the day like the epic mix app. Fix that problem and this app is fire!

Deer Valley App Fail. This is a good app when it works. However, it is plagued by a bug in which it disconnects and stops tracking during nearly every run. I have seen other reviewers cite this problem and I concur. Not sure if it is isolated to Deer Valley, where most of my skiing is done but it shouldn’t happen anywhere. It would be a great app if it were reliable, but it is far from functional. I hope someone on the development team sees this review and responds.

Wish it worked better without service. Wish it worked with tracking better than it does. I don’t get service everywhere so it doesn’t work the greatest when it doesn’t but otherwise I love seeing my stats by the end of the day

Great App!. The track your friends feature is my favorite. Well designed. It eliminates the constant calling and texting when you’re trying to hook up with other factions of a large and unwieldy group!

Stats don’t work. Switched to ikon this year from epic and the app has been very disappointing in comparison. The stats don’t work and customer service has no fix. The app doesn’t show what runs or lifts are open just the # of them. There’s no parking info on the app, you have to go to each individual mountain website. Really what good is the app at all??

It’s so buggy!. Works fine on watch… sharing makes app close and it doesn’t seem to track my all time or season stats well. Navigation isn’t super intuitive. Seems more like a marketing app for ikon pass than a useful app for skiing. The only reason I’m not deleting is that I like the day of watch tracking. Anything more difficult than that and it crashes.

Where’s Waldo of the Tracking feature impossible to find. Hope you don’t want to find the tracking or sharing button it’ll take a hour of pushing every button to find. If you’ve used it that day you won’t find it at all and don’t even ask about Apple Watch or Fitness integration that only works on a random day in March

Ski tracking is basic. If I start tracking in snowbird and then head over to Alta, it doesn’t track my Alta runs and instead says I’m “out of the resort” even though the mountains are connected. There’s also no way to remove tracking data if you leave the tracker on too long (ie driving home with the tracker on).

Requests!. 1. I love the new feature to compare previous designs, but it would be great if it also logged speeds. 2. Create a was to view previous season (all stats). 3. It would be great if you could log your sport when tracking to differentiate between ski and snowboard stats.

Obviously amazing!. I’m not sure how they do it for the price they do it, but thank God that they do! (If you’re reading this Icon, my statement does not mean I’m willing to pay more money, just grateful that the value is there :)

Awkward app. Too many clicks. Basically a sales site. The Epic app is so much easier to use. This app should know where I am from GPS and ask if I want to start tracking. Clearly no one has focus tested the UI/UX. Lost a day of tracking due to terrible UI. No, I didn’t want to book a vacation or buy another pass.

Never works properly. This app is useless when it comes to tracking I’m always skiing with my friend and he has the app to, mine always shows that I only did 12 lifts when in reality I did 15 Can just stop tracking for a few hours in the middle of the day. Speeds are never accurate, my friend shows 54mph and overtake him and my app is only showing 42mph

Tracking Non-Existent! App = useless. I don’t know what IKON did to their app this season but they ruined its primary attraction: tracking how you use the pass and your mountain stats. During the beginning of the season I heard on Reddit that tracking wasn’t fully up but would be fixed shortly. We’re now in spring season, and the app STILL doesn’t track. I’d rather use Slopes or another tracker. And without the tracking, this app is pretty useless. Get it together IKON!

Only use for tacking days. App data like weather, resort hours, snow totals, ect ect is wrong about 80% of time. It will show days used on ikon pass but you have to do math to see if you have used 6 of 7 days even to do that. App kinda worthless.

Useful!. Definitely some kinks in the program, but it’s so cool to see your record of what you did where and how long! I recommend it but if you get frustrated easily by laggy apps or slightly inaccurate (outdated) info, this might now be the app for you.

Not currently working. I decided to check the App Store and make sure there wasn’t an update. But my app as well as my girlfriends is not loading any information. Please fix.

Leaderboard adjustments.. Add some things for leader board, like compare top speeds, average speed, longest runs etc. Also, sometimes the app stops recording randomly. It has stopped when I have crossed from one resort to another, like going from Alta to Snowbird. Not always but sometimes.

Alterra marketing mistake. Alterra is making a big marketing mistake by not communicating with its pass holders. A little information goes a long way. I know how difficult the CV19 situation is on Alterra, it’s employees and customers but......other companies are handling the uncertainty much better. Postponing deadlines for renewal or offering pass-cash bonuses would go a long way to keeping long-time, loyal customers!

Hasn’t been working for me, even when I have data. When the app actually works it’s great but recently it hasn’t been working at all, will drop my location finding and just in general be a total pain. So frustrating when you want to track friends and their locations don’t actually update. Please fix something!!

Big corporations as usual.... EVERY time you open this app it hounds you to turn on your location. I'm sick of these corporations CONSTANTLY going through my personal life like some starving raccoon pawing its way through a dumpster!! It's fine to have the option in the settings and to have reminders come up if you try to use a feature that requires it but I don't want it so stop asking every time I open the freaking app!!!!!!

Getting worse…just like the Ikon Pass itself. No longer shows your speed. Lots of bugs. Won’t let me link my teenage son (yes, older than 13) to the account so he can track. There’s other apps that do all this stuff a lot better. See ya. While I’m being critical, Ikon (Alterra and their private equity “genius”) have ruined the experience at Solitude, probably other resorts as well.

Not a good app. Navigating to certain important features is not intuitive. Some features just link you to a separate site out of the app where you need to log back in and go back through the workflow to do the task you need to do. Feels like it was just thrown together without the user in mind.

Awesome tracking features. Tracking features gets your speed and vertical feet as well as time stamps when you take a lift or a run. The live view of the map is awesome !!

Great app that supports environmental disaster. The app works great. I had 40 plus days last year and visited 10 diff resorts. It was a blast. However Ikon supports Alta Bird who have thrown their financial weight behind the LCC Gondola project. Most people do not want it, it is not financially or environmentally prudent. End corporate welfare, stop destroying our canyons, pull Alta bird from the pass

Loving the ICON pass. Maybe It’s because we’re able to ski Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude in one week of a Utah vacation, but this is the best investment we’ve made. Helps that we live in the east and already have weekends set up at Killington, Loon and Sugarbush. The best of the west and East.

Does NOTHING meaningful. Basically a pass thru to their website. Save yourself the headache and just go to the website. App Only shows the most basic fluff about destinations. I mean I’m on a skiing app, why the heck do I need culinary info? I want to sign up for reservations to ski areas, see maps, maybe track my runs, period. They don’t even have an easy to locate link to making reservations. When you try to do so via destinations it’s literally a six step process. What’s wrong with the IT department here?

Days used missing. The whole reason I use the app is to keep track of # of days left at resort. They’ve either removed this feature or made it too hard to find. Makes app pretty useless! Please bring back day counting per resort and make it easier to use, thanks!

Constant CRASHES. The app continually crashes when trying to track vert. We have to “rejoin session”. We have confirmed with ALL our friends at Deer Valley that they are experiencing the same issues. We’ve all emailed customer service repeatedly and they say to uninstall and reinstall. That is NOT THE FIX!!!! Please have your development team actually FIX THE ISSUE!!! You have enough people experiencing this issue so please debug it and fix it! otherwise the leaderboard is useless.

Getting worse …. Not sure what Ikon did but the app this season is just crap. Problems loading (when I have good connection), tracking sessions not working, tracking runs, lift wait times completely off, lift availability not updated … just a total bear to use. Yes they keep jacking up the price each year. Love the mountains and terrain within ikon network but the app this year took a step back.

It’s almost awesome. The app is spotty and work well on the mountain. Also, none of my friends can actually track each other on the leaderboard, as well as see their location on the map. It would also be great to improve the process of starting the tracking of my our day. It’s a fun idea though, and hope to see it work all the bugs out!

Stop forcing updates in low service areas. This app is intended to be used in areas that inherently have bad service. Stop forcing updates every other week! I only use the app on the mountain (duh!) so it’s silly to push updates by demand when most people may not be able to do them.

Snow basin issue. All mountain can scan the Ikon pass thru clothing but at Snow Basin you needed a land yard to hold your pass In addition the Ikon tracker has been great but at Snow Basin is only recorded riding 2 lifts. It seemed to stop- and I didn’t do anything to stop it

Collect stats and keep in touch with your crew!. Super easy to send messages to a group, just tap “I’m at ___” and it fills in the blank for you. Good tracking features, difficulty ratios (black/blue/green) are a nice touch. Covers the basics too like real-time wait times. Please add a premium feature to show untracked stashes ;-)

USA App Store only?. Canadian and Australian ski friends are left out on this one. Developer only offers the Ikon app in US App Store. Also lacks many features found in Ski Tracks, but it’s possible to run both at the same time without any significant battery drain. Hopefully developers check the box to open app up to other countries they operate in. Would be great to be able to add my non-American ski friends.

Buy this pass if you want to have it suspended by tyrants.. Fk palisades and anyone who works with them. Watch out skiing at palisades, the ski patrol said I called him a motherfker while speeding past him, neither of which happened, but if they did how would he hear anything if I was speeding. I’ll certainly be calling him and the rest of squaw patrollers much worse after these goons decided to lie.

Tracking. I have found other skiing apps that you don’t have to remember to start tracking. Wish that was a feature. Still love the app great if you have the Icon Pass!

Tracking not Working and Can’t Make Reservations. Tracking not Working and Can’t Make Reservations via app on iPhone 12. Should be able to make reservations via the app but can only do it via the mobile or full website. Tried uninstall/ reinstalling the app but that didn’t fix the issue.

Ikon pass tracker confusion and logging out. The ikon pass tracker is a great idea; however, it keeps logging out and not tracking our skiing. It only tracked half a day. (Maybe I closed the app and it closed out - but should give you heads up) It is also kind of confusing to use. Should be easier to find in the app.

App Working Inconsistently. As of the latest patch, tracking and reviewing stats only works some of the time for me. Also, when I try to invite friends to a leaderboard they’re unable to join even though they’re both set up on the app. I also can’t review stats from today even though I could see them earlier This is a cool idea, but you need to iron out the kinks — otherwise this is a stupid app.

It doesn’t work. It does not track. Each day I have to delete the app and reinstall it. If I go to two resorts, June and Mammonth, the same day, it doesn’t track the second resort

Only one problem. Me and my mom share an account, but It’s supposed to be tracking me, but it’s tracking my mom instead.

your majesty. hard to find my reservations i can navigate anywhere easily except the one thing I need to get to when the season starts and I don’t want to make a lame nickname. I just want yo leave a review and hour send. Also every nickname imaginable can’t be taken already. I’ve tried 10 and I’m tired.

Reservations. Biggest complaint is to see reservation requirements is back doored through the app to the website and that you pretty much have to download twenty different apps to each destination... lame

Reservations. Sweet app to check out the weather and as a backup for your Ikon pass, but being able to make reservations on the app instead of the Ikon pass website would be a key feature. 🔑
