Thank you for keeping the classic version. The updated Feedly become unreadable to me when they eliminated pinch-to-zoom and changed up the tile structure. This is the tried and true Feedly I’ve used for years. Thanks for keeping it alive.

Classic is the best Feedly.. Buttery smooth interface. The “new” app is too jagged and clunky. Please bring back this as the official app. Thank you for still offering this. If you didn’t, I would have jumped ship long time ago. Keep on innovating.

Better than the ‘in-classic’. Easier to use, more features, and overall better than the current version

Thanks but bummer I have to re-enter my sources. I really appreciate you keeping the old version. This one is so much easier to use. I just quickly swipe to move on. The new one makes me swipe and scroll, which is twice as many actions (how is that more efficient?) and is more difficult to do one-handed. I used to blast through my articles and now it's scroll. Scroll. Scroll.

So much better than the new app. Feedly deserves credit for providing a fallback option when making a change that completely destroyed the usefulness of their main app. Seriously, though, the app is the best feed reader out there. The new app is TERRIBLE (I keep trying it every few months, and man... just awful), and Feedly Classic is why I keep my account open. It’s perfect, and I use it every day. Thanks, Feedly, for bucking the trend of tech developers acting like they know what their users need better than their users do! We love having options!

Better than the new version. Thank you so much for offering this as the classic version. It’s the best news reader by far. I was nearly going to look for another app after the latest upgrade to the new app. Now I don’t have to.

Small complaint. The “Explore” button doesn’t work. Nothing ever loads. Besides that, I love the app. I appreciate the devs. It brings me incredible peace of mind, knowing I have a simple and effective app that functions exactly how I think it should - couldn’t make it better myself.

Please keep up the support and please carefully consider these reviews! Pagination in particular is clunk in the new feedly, and overall this classic is a more intuitive UX.

Thank you for the old version. This is the interface I knew and loved. They tried to update it to something “better”. Thankfully they also came out with the old version for those of us who do not want to update.

Thank you for this.... I hope you keep this classic version around for a while. I'll give your new UI a try in about 6 months to a year to see if it's any better. As of right now, it is a gigantic step backwards in almost every conceivable way.

Stick with Classic. The new one is probably fine. I'm just use to the Classic layout and like it better. Thanks to the developer for keeping it available. Hopefully they'll get around to moving the "mark all read" away from "refresh".

Fix this ugly *** icon. It seemed like a nice gesture for the developers to provide a feedly classic as I hate the new version but how long will it be supported? The ugly grey icon is also a slap in the face. I’ve never been particular about icons on my home screen until now. It doesn’t get much worse than this. I might give feedly a month to make things right(at least fix the icon if not the new app) but as of now this long time customer(very long) is going to look at alternative apps and possibly services. Glad I didn’t re-up my pro subscription. I was debating on it but this sealed it.

Better. I like this version better than the new one. That one had a bunch of little flaws that made it overall really annoying. This one is just about exactly what I need it to be. The only thing is that i wish there was a way that I could skip the “Read more” link

Better than the new version for sure. However there’s something wrong with both apps - marking all as read doesn’t mark all as read, just a subset. If you refresh or open the app again, there’s new (but older) unread articles. Odd.

Latest iOS update borked the app. I love Feedly Classic, but the latest iOS update causes the app to shrink to half screen when you leave the app and come back to it. You have to shut it down and reopen each time. I hope Feedly is still serving us Classic lovers updates.

Thanks for supporting classic!. Very classy that Feedly is still supporting this version. The new app’s UI wasn’t to my taste and I felt it slowed down the experience. I also prefer the controls on the top, as my browser has its controls on the top. Feedly’s new AI tools are useful on my laptop, but I don’t need them or want them on my iPad. Frankly, they just got in the way of the reading experience. So this is the best of both worlds: a new version for people who want that sort of thing, and an old version for people who don’t.

Gmail Blocks Login. Feedly Classic kicked me out and I am unable to login again. Gmail declines my login attempts saying the app doesn’t comply with Gmail’s security requirements. I have tried repeatedly and tried to find support but apparently Feedly doesn’t provide any. I have a massive library and have been using the Classic app for at least ten years . If I get no support, which I probably won’t, I’ll be switching to Matter since, like many, I don’t like the non-Classic interface — it is distracting.

Best curated news aggregator. The new Feedly is horrible but Classics is still here, thankfully. Thank you for keeping this that just like the great way this aggregates the news you want. I only wish you guys had scrolling support for the new iPad trackpad/mouse support instead of having to click and drag.

Love the idea of offering Classic. I am a heavy Feedly user for the past few year, averaging 20k feeds each year. I definitely appreciate the stack view, plus the perk of having a lite and simple version of Feedly

Deceptive.. The original Feedly was once like this app. They built up the reviews for it and changed it to something completely different. They took advantage of Apple’s flawed review system and of their fanbase. Pretty much you can release an app, get glowing reviews, and change it to anything you want with IAP and get to keep all those reviews. It’s exactly what they did with Feedly and released this app to cover their tracks. No, you don’t deserve 5 stars for that and really all your apps should be pulled and forced to start over on reviews.

Please continue to support the classic version. I love the classic version. Please continue to support the classic app. Please update the formatting for the 12.9 iPad Pro. I applaud you for allowing the classic app to continue beside the much hated new app.

Wow. Just left a review in the up-to-date feedly because for some reason all the fancy bells and whistles just aren’t working in my iPhone X and after a couple months of it I was so over using Feedly. I noticed in the comments that this version of Feedly still exists and it has made my day!!!! Love it!!!

So much better than the regular app!. Slim app, fast, easy to use interface. Such a shame feedly doesn’t keep updating both versions, but I’m so glad they make this one available. Would not be able to use the other one.

Thanks for preserving the option. As a long time Feedly user that wasn’t thrilled with the new interface, I’m thrilled they preserved the old interface for those of us that prefer it. Feedly is a wonderful service that continues to prove the value of RSS in the age of social sharing. My one request is to please change the color of the icon. Especially on the iPad, the grey closely matches the color of the dock.

Far superior than the new Feedly app. I don’t understand how this old “classic” version is still way superior than the “new” Feedly. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If they add the option for dark mode in sync with the phone, this app would be perfect. I would happily pay for this app.

Used to be good. I tried the new Feedly and it was awful. Was extremely happy when this came out, but it’s lifespan has run out. It’s not getting any updates and iOS 13 seems to have introduced a bug where it will blank out and refresh the page. Guess it’s time to move to a different reader. Thanks for all the good times, Feedly!

RSS reader as it should be. The older classic version (40) is exactly how RSS reader should be. Unfortunately, some knucklehead product manager decided to dumb down the product to look like some Apple Google News with minimal functions, forcing people to download this version. Dumbest product decision, ever.

Feedly is dead. Long live Feedly Classic!. This newsreader is absolutely perfect. Maybe someday the “new Feedly” will be fixed, but at the moment it can not compare to this gem. It was perfect just like it was, so I’m not sure why they saw a need to “improve” it. The new (non-Classic) version has about a 2-star rating average - the only reason it looks better is because of all the old reviews that I and many thousands of other users wrote about THIS set of features before they screwed it up. So I’m sticking with Classic, and the only thing I don’t like is the boring gray logo. I can live with that.

Thankfully, they didn’t delete this version. Kudos to the developer for letting us continue to use this older version when they released a new version that’s trying too hard to look like Twitter/Apple News (thus making it unreadable to me).

I was looking for an alternative. The old (now classic) Feedly is not a great app, it too has a clunky UI and has only limited options to configure, yet it's still the best RSS reader in the App Store. The new app however, what a disaster. I was looking for an alternative to the new app, anything would be better, and was relieved to find out the old one is still around.

Better than the new piece of junk. Wish I could import my settings from the “normal” Feedly that they updated today to the junk ui, but I’d rather use this one than the new one

New app is broken. Had to switch to this app after latest Feedly update. It totally broke the app - now when i read part of the article and switch to other apps, new Feedly marks the article as read, and I have to search for it in history. Thank god they have the option to use an old app, but the grey icon is horrible. It was easy to find the green icon, now I just can’t find it in a folder.

OMG, my eyes thank you. I don’t care that you made the icon all black and white and unattractive. I’m glad to have the old app back. Especially after using the new one, I have a new appreciation for how good this one actually is. Thank you for listening to those who were disappointed.

Absolutely love it when they give the option.... So many software developers seen to be striving to fix what ain't broken. I've given up on several sites after they "improved" them. But it is refreshing when developers give the option not to move to their new "baby". I tried the new Feedly and it just doesn't work for me; I was about to abandon Feedly where I saw they provided the option to continue with what is essentially the old version. Perfect! Hope they continue to support this version, and is so wish other developers would adopt this technique.

THANK YOU FEEDLY. I really tried to gave the new version a chance, but there were too many changes that interrupted what I loved about Feedly. Thank you for making the original and best still available.

Best Feed Reader. I felt a bit guilty about still using the Classic version so I thought I’d give the regular one another shot. Nope, I am now back to Classic again. I hated that I’d swipe up on an article to show I’d read it, but swiping wouldn’t work half the time. It got really frustrating to repeatedly swipe ten times on an article only to have it not go away. It would just bounce back into place. I also don’t like the Home Screen options (the first page you see when you open the app) and find the Classic version much better at displaying that info. Classic makes it much easier to save an article for later. The Classic version is faster and less buggy. I’m surprised that after a couple of years of doing this “new” Feedly, they still haven’t worked out those bugs. While it is useable, the Classic version is still much superior.

Exceptional!. The app itself is outstanding. The interface, the layout, and of course the performance are all first rate. The dev respects and is considerate of their user base in keeping this legacy classic version of the app. It's difficult to overstate how terrific it is that a dev would do this! Thank you very much! If I could give 10 stars I would. 5 for the app and 5 for the dev!

A solid 7/10, but with one annoying issue.. Overall, Feedly is great and I’ve been a paid Pro customer for years. The Feedly team is always trying to improve. But as of recently, the app keeps resetting my view settings. Developers...can you please fix?

Love the old interface. Was sort of surprised by the new update and couldn’t find an option to enable to old interface in the app. Please!! Keep this app updated. We love the classic interface! The new one is disorienting.

Decent. It’s good that the old version still around. But now there is a choice of an older version that is probably not going to get updated in the foreseeable future OR a new version with an atrociously awful design. So it’s nice that the old version still around but even the gray icon is a middle finger to the users who prefer it. It seems as a warning from the developers to move on from Feedly. If they really care to give the users an option of UI, it should have been an option in the settings of the main app. This is a nice app for what it is but it has clearly been pushed to the side. It’s subtle but the even the drab color icon says it’s really on its way out.

Thank you for the option!. Wasn’t a fan of the new design, and so I very much appreciate the option to revert to the “classic” style! My one request is the option to change the icon style as many other apps offer the ability to choose from multiple versions - the grey is just killing me!

New vs Classic. Glad to see they added the classic version to the AppStore for those of us that need what I guess are more power user features. Hopefully they add more features to the new version soon.

Classic far superior to “new” Feedly. Every single aspect of the new Feedly is annoying. PLEASE don’t change anything about the classic!!! ... except maybe make it a few steps easier/faster to toggle light/dark modes.

Remember New Coke? This is Coke Classic.. This original version of Feedly should have the 22k ratings and the full color icon, but thank you anyway DevHD for continuing to make this app available. As an RSS devotee from Google Reader days, I really appreciate not being left behind again.

If it’s not broken.... Sometimes change for the sake of change does not advance the cause. In this case, Feedly was already quite good and the decision to ‘update’ turned out to be a step backward. Thank you for giving us Feedly Classic - even with the included insult about ‘old habits.’ Maybe the developers should take some of this feedback to heart.

Use this, the new one is misconceived. You’ll lose features you want (evernote) for features feedly folks want (their service doing storage)

OneNote. My OneNote connection has broken and I can’t seem to re-enable. What gives? This is the best app otherwise.

This is better than new version.. I read a fair bit of news and I prefer the hold press to save articles in this old one, soo much quicker. This saves to instapaper and dropbox and others tru ifttt. The new one is good - organising sources etc, but I’m very glad u have made this available too - thanks x millions. I will be using both versions, for dif reasons I think. Update: happy to see dropbox integration working now - I don’t know if that was my fault I lost it, or bc of an update. Back up to 5 stars!

New Bug?. Latest version seems to keep defaulting feeds to “show updates only”. Have to keep changing back to “Show all”. And chance to fix in update thanks.

Excellent RSS reader. Since Google Reader’s demise Feedly has been my RSS app of choice. Excellent web/app integration, with one tap Instapaper support. This Classic version is much more user-friendly and feature rich than the ‘improved’ replacement that seeks to take control away from the reader.

Don't get new version. Much more usable than the new version.

I don’t understand. At all.. I wrote a review on the “new” Feedly but that was BEFORE I sat down with it on my new iPad Pro...which sent me straight to this version. It is quite simply appalling what you’ve done with Feedly and seriously, I’m not that guy—the one who rails against change, whatever it is. Going from Feedly to Feedly “Classic” was like moving from a scribbled piece of paper to a glossy magazine. What in the world are you thinking? And have you even looked at the iPad version? In landscape mode it’s utterly ridiculous, with “cards” that don’t even span the width of the device, regardless of which setting you choose—compact or comfortable makes no difference in the layout. You can make this app’s icon and screenshots monochrome all you want (seriously, how silly is that?) but you have the entire thing in reversed: Feedly Classic makes you feel like you’re diving into content—the new Feedly barely holds water. Deleted. I’ll use this one while I can and look for something else. You’ve sunset the wrong app guys.

Better than the new one!!. I much prefer the swiping mechanism of this app compared to the new one! Not only because I was used to it, but also because the swipes didn’t need to be as long. Please, make the icon green again, or at least with more contrast.

Better than the new version!. I just tried the new version and while I liked the new UX, I really didn’t like the fact that that the integration with Pocket is now a paid feature... so that’s a no go for me. I’ll keep using this old version for as long as I can :)

Thank you for bringing this back. While there are improvements with the newer feedly app, I wish the same display options were available as user choice, such as "list mode" and "stack page flipping". In the meantime, thank you giving us Feedly Classic.

Explore button!. Maybe I’m missing it on the new app but I went back to this for the explore button. It gives me a good set of news I enjoy without some of the nsfw feeds in my personal feeds section.

Older is better. Sadly this is the Feedly to use. I’ve had to uninstall the regular version and switch to this “classic”. I really don’t understand what the Developer is doing. The new version is complete crap. Look at the latest reviews. The actual stars rating is really for this Classic version.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I love this app and can’t live without it, I don’t like the new version at all. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it is what I say. But the explore function on the app is broken now and all it does is give me a endless searching screen. Otherwise perfect.

A new bug?. A recent update of Classic causes pages to lay out too narrow on initial loads. Can be corrected with a brief iPad orientation flip, but it would be nice if this got fixed.

Fantastic. Never change.. When my iOS update installed automatically the newer Feedly app, I came here to figure out what went wrong. It was so unquestionably a downgrade (in features, usability, functionality) I was genuinely flabbergasted. Thankfully others told me to download Feedly Classic , and all my problems were solved! This app is amazing, and I failed to appreciate it fully until it was temporarily taken away

Since you use Cloudflare, I can’t create an account. I used to live this app but now it’s impossible to create an account because since you are using Cloudflare, I am detected as if I am not human. I have tried on two different browsers and it’s not working.

So much better than the “update”. Thank you for at least giving us this option, although would prefer to have these options (stack view, long-press-to-save) in the new version. And this removes the “horizontal” scrolling (like book pages). Wish I never updated. Lame grey icon that feels like a purposeful jab at long-time users who prefer the original app.

Functions broken. Seems like more export functions are broken. In this case export/save to email starts the email then crashes feedly. Using iPhone 13 mini on iOS 16.0.2. Thanks.

I love feedly classic.. Not a huge fan of the new app. It’s got some neat ideas but needs some better UI options. But feedly classic is basically perfect.

Awesome Newsreader. This is the version to get.. Some may like the new Feedly design but I much prefer this one. This is the best newsreader I’ve used on iOS and am thankful they kept it around.

Wow!. Unexpected treasure! Brilliant usability. I miss it a lot! Better than new one. The stack page scrolling is EXCELLENT. Dark mode is very good, no contrast. PS Please add switching to dark mode with the system settings.

Great Move. I'm thrilled that this app exists; the new Feedly is garbage (I hate the UI; I get frequent "script error" messages and rendering problems; they removed "Explore"; etc.).

Google account crashes app. I can’t enter my Google login. As soon as I try and confirm my account, app crashes, and takes me back to the home screen. It’s been like this for months. somebody fix it.

Close to perfection!. It does exactly what you want.

Still has Instapaper. Unlike the new version, this “classic” version still includes the Instapaper integration. It’s exactly the same as Feedly was before the complete overhaul.

Classic-ish. I was glad to see this option to revert back to the old Feedly -- until I actually installed it. Classic doesn't really have any option that recreates the minimalist look of expansive, full screen photos that the old Feedly had. And maybe it's petty, but what's up with the grey icon? It feels like the developers had a temper tantrum.

App Crashes with Google SSO Attempt. As title says. Unusable as I am not able to sign in. Was able to use it on iPad so seems to be a mobile issue.
