Impossible to cancel — keeps billing. STAY AWAY from this app. It’s not free to use and once you sign up for the trial there is no option to stop the automatic renewal of the subscription— so they keep charging. I’ve contacted customer care 3 times and not gotten any reply. I’ll have to talk to my bank and iTunes to stop this. STAY AWAY from this app.

Wasn’t able to use subscription. Canceled immediately. After seeing “your purchase was successful!”, recording the phone call as a test… I wasn’t ever able to access any recordings. Every time I hit the button to access them, the app would bring me straight back to the screen asking me to purchase another subscription. Even if I clicked subscribe again, it would just generate an error and also say I’m already subscribed… sorry, but not user friendly at all. Seems there are some kinks that need to be worked out!

Contact us option does not work. I am paying for ACR for the iPhone only because I was hoping that it was as fabulous as it was on my Samsung. Not so. I loved automatically recording all calls. That gave me the option of going back to the call to remind myself what was said in matters of importance. I was also hoping I could recover a couple of phone conversations with my late father. No recording recovery and I can’t contact you to cancel.

Can’t add phone number, can’t find where to unsubscribe. I was in Italy not even able to add my phone number to record calls and I can’t find a place to unsubscribe from the app so I’m afraid I will be getting charged for something I can’t use. How do I contact customer service

No customer service. I have been trying to delete this app for months. Can’t do it. Can’t get any feed back from this company. They make sure they charge me 7.99 $ per month though. I guess from reading the reviews if your satisfied with the app you can get response from this company. I even tried to suspend my card from being charged, it won’t let you take your own credit card information off because it’s an active subscription. So disgusted!

Finally a great app. Great app finally found an app that works and is a reasonable monthly price. It records without the beeping when connected and the quality is great.

Can’t get in contact app doesn’t work. My in app “contact us” does not work. I want to cancel my subscription but I can’t. To top it off the app doesn’t work. I did everything the app said to do. It stores the recording but the recording has no sound!!! I want my money back and I want to cancel this subscription.

Didn’t Work. I was so disappointed in this purchase. I had to record minutes on a zoom conference call for my new job. Following the instructions to record I called into the conference call audio only (did not use my computer for video). 19 minutes later I discovered nothing recorded/no sound. I had done about 3-4 practice/test calls and they worked fine. The only difference I can think of between the actual call and the practice/test calls is that I used the mute button during the actual call (did not want my Great Dane barking to be heard/recorded). If it worked I was going to purchase a year subscription. I would suggest purchasing a week just to try out because it’s doubtful that they would issue a refund. Tried to reach out to customer service to no avail.

Just downloaded. I made my firstCall I merged the callsAfter I was making the other person tell me some juicy stuff like the stuff that I wanted to record never got recorded so how do you expect me to purchase your app when it doesn’t even work I ended the callTry to listen to my conversation with the other person but I can’t hear anything so I want to cancel this purchase thank you

Doesn’t work. Not only did it not work it locked my phone so I was not able to dial the number I was trying to record back directly without using the app either. I requested a refund as soon as this happened and I’m still waiting on it.

Help. I love this app been using it for over a year but I can’t find my recordings I did a band interview today and the recording is nowhere to be found

Too many steps to record. When recording an incoming call there are too many steps you must take to even start the recording. The other party hangs up because it takes too long. You have to 1. Answer your phone, then 2. Look for the app on your phone, then 3. Hit the record button once you’ve opened the app, 4. Hit the merge call button on the ongoing call(that’s if anyone is still there by this time) 5. Lastly wait for it to merge as a conference call…. Wayyy too much work! And the fact that the product wants to charge 7.99 a week for this is not worth it! But you get 3 days free….so you decide! I just know it’s not effective for me especially when answering the phone and trying to record an incoming call!!! App needs a serious update/redo!

Call Recorder App Perfection. I am not one to usually write reviews, but I couldn’t help myself! If you are looking for a call recorder app application look no further. This call recorder for iPhone app is wonderful because of how user friendly it it. I love that you are able to do everything by the touch of iPhone. I can record a call and access recordings right after the call. Also they give free recordings which it helped me test the app and I’m very happy with the results. I compared Acr app’s price with other call recording apps and realized that Acr call recorder’s price is pretty much the most affordable. Thanks so much for creating a such a great app!

Awful experience. This is “not easy to use”, Despite what the previous users state or at least for iPhone users. When trying to “record” a call you have to put them on speaker and then merge, which then shows up on the their side as being conference called... which defeats the entire purpose of having the call recorded. Did not use except for the attempts on the first day, I’ve been attempting to cancel and was still charged the $5 for the awful app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD especially is trying to use this in your professional life.

Record all your calls. I have been recording all calls of importance and it is easy to slip in “this call is being recorded” which gets consent when the call continues! This will keep them honest 🤣

Totally useless app. This app is totally useless. Very difficult to cancel as they have the wrong email address used to cancel service. I had to call my bank to do something about it. This app is very impractical to use. Poor idea by developers. Who is going to wait on hold, especially a telemarketer you’re trying to to sue. Who is going to wait on hold while you dial the app phone jumber while you dial them? Impractical application.

Don’t rely on this for an important call. I tried to use this to record an interview. Followed the steps exactly, presses the record button, called into the service line, merged the call as instructed, and the recording never showed up. I’m glad I was taking notes or I would be SOL! Don’t rely on this app if you need to record something important.

Garbage and lies. This app is 100% garbage. Didn’t record my call, hung up on the caller 3 times during the call! The reviews are clearly lies. There isn’t an option to even view your recordings it just redirects to the memberships. Thank goodness I didn’t pay for it. Garbage garbage garbage

Support won’t get back with me. The recording aspect of it works most of the time. Sometimes it won’t record, however that’s not my biggest issue. I have emailed support several times about recorded calls that didn’t transfer when I got a new phone after I lost my other one. These are important calls I need for future court proceedings and there has been no effort to communicate back with me after repeated attempts on my end to retrieve these calls.

Love this call recorder for iphone ❤️. I just downloaded this call recorder app and recorded my stalker’s phone call. He has been harrasing me for a quite some time and finally I had enough evidence to send him where he belongs. I want to really thank to the developer of this app, they literally saved my life. I wish I knew about this call recording app before. Also, thanks for letting me try the app for free. I’ll make sure to add your app among my favorite apps and will use it whenever I need to record a phone call. Needless to say I suggest downloading this app to everyone who needs to record a call. This app is like having an insurance, you never know when you’ll need it but better have it in advance to save yourself lots of headache. 😉

RIP OFF!!!. I would give zero stars if I could. This company is impossible to get in touch with. I cancelled within the time period given for the free trial and was still charged. I will be looking into this and hope this company does right by me. I couldn’t even get the app to work properly so cancelled my subscription the next day. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Great app. I downloaded this app yesterday, so I can record my landlord and have proof of him yelling me he’s not my landlord that my building is owned by ERTS GROUP. I went to listen to the recording and it really works. I’m so grateful for this app. It helped me so much. Thank you. I recommend this app for anyone.

Not for me. To much to do to use this app don’t like you got to call a number to use app then merge call no it’s dum to me. Prefer to just push one button or it automatically start when a call takes place. Canceled the app and they billed me anyway an it was the first day I downloaded this app . Just put money back in my account

Should stop with misleading. All apps should be banned for misleading and for not properly disclose, somewhere visible, the cost of products in App store such as this app. Only after you agree to share your information they show you what it costs after your "Free" trial. But you can't ban if the app store is the one allowing this to go on, it's maybe even on purpose... How do you know? You don't, that's the plan.

Lost My Recordings. Don’t use this app. Despite paying $5/mo for a month or two, several weeks ago the app stopped allowing me access to my recordings. When you press the “tape” button, the app just exits with no error msg. There was no response from the support email even after five emails and one to their company hq. They ignored all of my appeals to help me find my recordings. The only way to access your recordings is through the app and if it stops working before you retrieve them, you are screwed.

Can’t cancel. I didn’t get a chance to use it. When I signed up I tried looking to see how to cancel if needed, unable to cancel and no contact info. If this is how they run their business I do not want any part of it. I will have to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Can’t call or cancel. It works, but when I didn’t need it any more and sent an email asking to cancel there was no response. Just another withdrawal from my account. I sent two more emails and two more months were charged. So I called the phone number on my statement and it just played a recording that said this was a nonworking number, and I should call Dell at another number. I called the other number and they didn’t know anything about this. Sounds like a scam. And I am still paying.

Do Not Download. The App is a scam. I looked at various apps to find a call recorder, and this one does not work. I canceled within the first 1.5 hours, took a screenshot as my “proof of cancellation” because I originally thought the “call” you are asked to make to initiate use of the app would connect but all it did was ring. I tried to call again, same thing. I did not want to subscribe since there was a 7-day free trial, so I canceled, and have to hope that works. If you don’t want to waste your time, do not try, download, or otherwise.

Absolutely useless!. I downloaded this app to transcribe phone calls and tested it out with a friend. My friend has a Samsung galaxy s9 and when he calls me it shows call on hold, call retrieved and conference call. So if ur looking to do the recording privately this isn’t the app for you. When making outgoing calls it seems to work as it should. After recording a couple calls back and forth I went to listen to them to see how the sound was there was no sound at all on any of the recordings. I fallowed the instructions step by step so I didn’t make a mistake and no sound came from the recordings. On top of all that when calling or connecting the call it takes a long period of time to beep( like a voicemail) to start recording.

Not cost listed in description. These apps should list their pricing in their description. Plain and simple. I don’t spend money on deceitful companies.

Can’t hear recordings. I paid for a year subscription to this app and I am unable to retrieve any of the recorded calls. When I click to hear the calls, I am not able to hear anything. I am very disappointed with this purchase and I cannot speak to anyone to find the solution.

No stars - App doesn’t work. I bought this app to record a very important conversation between my family, and nothing recorded. I tested it out multiple times and nothing ever recorded, despite doing EXACTLY as the instructions indicated, and paying the $8 app fee. Please refund as this app did not do as advertised (it did nothing).

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not use this app! I downloaded it in hopes that it would record my phone calls without the other party knowing. Untrue. A voice tells the person right before accepting the phone call that it is being recorded on top of an obnoxious beeping sound that goes off periodically indicating the call is being recorded. I never “subscribed” to anything and removed the app after trying it twice. Well now I keep getting notifications stating this stupid company is trying to charge me $7.99 each month for the two times I tried their app. I’ve reach out to support in hopes that they’ll work with me here but I’m not going to hold my breath. Download something else!!!!!

Not sure when to start counting. I downloaded this app on Friday. I ended up not needing it, so I never used it so that’s when I deleted it off my phone but forgot to unsubscribe. Earlier I went right to my subscriptions and started my screen recording and canceled. That’s what I have to do nowadays because a lot of these thirsty apps are real shady and will say you never even canceled the subscription (that’s why I screen record the process.) Little did I know they already had the transaction pending (then little sneaky, eager beavers) I didn’t think that they could charge you until the third day had ended. Could someone please help me out by letting me know when a free trial duration starts and ends? I download it on Friday and I already got charge for it. SMH

0 stars. Would rate 0 out of 5 if possible, first time opening the app and it wouldn’t let me close off of the “three days free trial” screen without it being up another one and then continuing to loop to each other until 8-10 minutes was up :/

Long beeping noise. I really like this app and would have given 5 stars if not for one small inconvenience, the long beeping noise that is audible well after merging the calls.

This app is horrible!!!. From the moment I downloaded this app it has not worked! I tried several times to record a phone call and each time it did not work! I went into settings to see how to unsubscribe and that was a dead end! Now I’m being charged after the 3 day trial for something that has not being used! I had to give one star to review but this app gets 0 stars!!! #givememymoneyback

They will auto bill with no notification. Way too expensive for nothing innovative. Operates the same as the other apps where it uses another line that has to merge into the call to record it.

Must have call recorder app. I’m using ACR call recorder to record my business conference calls everyday and go back and listen for the details that I may have missed during the conference call. Since I don’t need to worry about taking notes during the call, I can concentrate on the calls more as well. I’ve tried other call recorder apps but this is the best and easiest to use so far.

Beware you will not be able to cancel & no response from customer support. After downloading the app and signing up for the free trial I realized that this app is nothing like I thought it would be. There is not an option to cancel so I contacted customer support. I sent the email to cancel the same day and no response. I sent another email to cancel before the trial ended still no response. Checked my bank account and was still charged, I will dispute with my bank and also file a complaint with Better Business Bureau

The app isn’t free. Before you read this understand that I didn’t get to use the app itself. This app advertises itself as being free with in app purchases. That isn’t the case. Once you download the app you confirm and immediately you are prompted to buy the full version. So the app isn’t useable at all without the full version. So since this app is advertised as free I am reviewing the free version. The application simply doesn’t do what is intended unless you purchase the full version. So I have no clue why it is advised as free. I would love for someone to give me a good explanation.

Horrible and not dependable.. I had a college project where I had to record a phone call for an interview. After 40 minutes of the call I hung up waited 4 hours for it to develop. To my surprise it never recorded even though I followed all correct steps. So now I have to waste someone else’s time and energy again because of this stupid app. So disappointing and embarrassing to be 11$ on the App Store. Do not waste your time or money use other app that look and feel more professional. After purchasing and using the app I can tell it was made by absolute idiots with zero experience. And on top of that I have emailed customer service and reached out multiple times about my issue and no one has helped. IF YOU HEAR IT FROM ANYWHERE THE ANSWER IS NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. DO NOT BUY

Poor Customer Service. I am super disappointed. I had months of recordings of interviews lost because the company was trying to get me to upgrade to pro and i got a phone call as it was verifying and then I couldn’t see any of my recordings and I waited for several days and received no response. The phone number for customer service does not even work. Don’t purchase if you don’t have somewhere else to store your recordings.

Quality. Everything works with the app. I would prefer if I could hear what the conversation is about. I have been dealing with a toxic relationship and need to record our phone conversations.

Canceled several times right after I put this app on my phone. They took my money anyway. Never got back to me and didn’t cancel liked I emailed them several times. Now I have to dispute this charge with my bank and get a new card. I have so many bills on auto pay with that same card. They just made my life hard. Worst app customer service ever.

Beware!. Once you get the app, there’s no way to view your account information, no way to view how much time you have left on the free trial, and no way to cancel the subscription from the app. If you accidentally go over 2 days, it will automatically charge you bc they want 24 hour notice. If you cancel by sending an email and you’re already on day 3, they will charge you and cancel with no refund, but you also don’t get to use the time you paid for! $59 for one year you get charged for, but as soon as you cancel your access is gone! Total rip-off! I was able to cancel by going to the App Store, report a problem with the app, quality issue on the drop down, and there’s a tiny link “manage subscription” where you can see when it will renew, and you can cancel it there. Phew! Never again!

Superb app to record phone calls. I’ve heard about phone call recording apps from my friends and wanted to try for myself. I downloaded call recorder for iPhone and am absolutely amazed at how easy it is to use the app and how great it works. I have been using it to record all my phone calls with an insurance company. Crystal clear sound, intuitive and reliable. Definitely a must have app!

Does not work in Canada. The App is garbage. It does not perform as described, customer support does not exist, and is a scam - at least for users in Canada. The ++++ reviews are also probably ghost written!

The best phone call recorder to use for any customer service calls. I am using this app for customer service related issues as I have had many bad experiences with customer service representatives in the past. This is an absolute must have app if you need to have explicit proof of who said who. I had many issues resolved immediately as I was able to replay the conversation I had with a representative. I was able to let the company know if the representative did not follow through with their job concerning my issue.

Best call recorder for iPhone. My friend recommended ACR Call Recorder for job interview. This app is super helpful when you want to record phone calls and replay them later. Easy to use and works great!

Scammers. The app asked for my number. Never had a call from scammers before, then I got 3 that very day and now about 2-3 scam calls a day from “westjet” saying I won competition. I don’t even fly with westjet.

Truly a LIFE saver app!!!. "I work as a recruiter and this call recorder app has become an essential tool of the interviewing process for me. Gone are the days, when candidates were invited for a in person interview right away. These days. it is all about phone calls, a lot of phone calls. After selecting many candidates, I then spent a lot of time interviewing them on the phone. There are at least 2 - 3 phone calls before moving onto a next level of the hiring process.

They won’t cancel it. I have tried my hardest to get them to cancel my subscription and they just ignore my requests. I am sick of paying for this.

No longer works. I used the app for years without any problems, then suddenly it stopped working. Despite indicating it’s recording, no audio files populate after the phone call. I contacted the developer and no one ever responded.

Hidden cost. It appears to be free until after you are setting it up, then in teeny tiny print it says there is a 3-day trial after which your account gets billed monthly. If the product isn’t free that should the first thing listed.

Unclear how to stop after the Free Trial. So I installed it but can’t see how to turn off the auto-renewal so I don’t get charged after the trial. I guess I’ll just uninstall it and hope for the best. Seems pretty shady.

People are getting “scammed”?. Dear everyone who says they are getting scammed by this app by the subscription. If you do except the free trial it will charge you a monthly fee the way you cancel that monthly free isn’t by calling and screaming at the representatives on the phone but Apple is where your subscription is Apple is the one soliciting the payment. You can go to your App Store and from there you can click on your profile click on it again and click on it again and it’ll take you to a page where you can find all your current subscriptions and you can cancel those. Simply uninstalling the app will not fix the problem. You need to go to the settings and unsubscribe otherwise it’ll charge you every month regardless whether you have installed or not.

Beware of free trial. App works great but when I went in to cancel my free trial (before the subscription became active) it indicated my account was already charged?! Sent a message via customer support to address this and am waiting to hear back.

Can’t even hear the recording. I recorded a call interview with this and I could not even hear the recording. I have to write an article and I need this interview. I send an email to the support people and don’t even respond back! 😡🤷‍♂️

Misleading Advertisement.. I saw this in the App Store. It was CLEARLY labeled FREE. Download it and now I have 3 days before it starts charging me like $12. a week. Their app told me to go into settings to remove it. I finally found it in my Apple ID. It would NOT allow me to remove it. Beware….This is a scam.

Need a refund. I never actually even used the app I also unsubscribed in the app and I still just got charged today

Bait & switch. FREE is not free and then won’t tell you how much it costs. Terms of service says the app will tell you how much it cost when you open it but you can’t open without agreeing to the contract. And there are non refunds. It’s a trap.

Unsubscribed billing. I had this app on my phone, used it once and never subscribed to a billing service nor agreed to paying for any version or use of this app. Yet I was charged $8 today for an app I do not use. This app is useless and is charging people without their consent

Payment options. It’s says online u can pay 2.99 but when u download the app it only gives u the option for 7.99 and when emailing support says email address is unknown.

Don’t download impossible to cancel. I emailed them 2 times and they still charging me. Gonna take some more action. It should be a cancel button but there is none I’m possible to cancel

Will charge you without consent. I downloaded it for free, but when I opened the app it automatically charged me for a subscription I never agreed to. I cancelled the autorenew, but have never used that app and want my money back.

Not working. This app is not working and am unable to cancel the subscription also. I sent more than 10 emails to ACR customer service team from Sept 27th but no response

Waste of money!!!. Don’t read the reviews! This is a horrible product. Tried several times to record incoming calls and it did not capture even 1 call.. followed the directions to a T... merged calls... nothing!!! Absolute waste!!! DON’T BUY!!!

Acr call recorder for iPhone. This app is outstanding. Thank you app developers for this Acr call recorder app. It’s truly a life saver

Not happy!. After downloading this app, I realized it was not what I wanted. It has a three day trial and I tried to cancel. It will not let me. I cannot find anyway to cancel it. If it charges me, I will file a complaint with my bank.

Failed attempt. Had purchased this to record my ex threatening and admitting to her aggressions towards me. Followed the steps and never recorded or recognized that I had a recording. Emotionally a waste for me to go through that and have this app not work

Unclear advertising. When I got the app it didn’t say anything about a membership being required. When I needed to use it talked about a free trial for 3 days.

Only recorded a short portion. I am sad I paid for this. This app missed a full 31 minutes of a 33 minute call. It was an important call to that I recorded in lieu of taking handwritten notes.

Scam - Can’t cancel payments. It’s been 3 months and I still haven’t been able to cancel my payments. I have no idea how this app is still available on the store. Don’t download this app! The support number is fake and your emails will not get read.

Not working. I have had this app for awhile now and my calls are not recording at all anymore. Neither incoming or outgoing please help me

Ridiculous. Impossible to get them to stop charging me monthly. Attempting to remove the app and it’s impossible. Also, the app was just so-so. But thought I was paying for one month ONLY.

Messy and lame. You have to call in to the recorder then make your call. Terrible way to setup call recording. Wasted money on a year of this for nothing. Don’t do it.

Worked during the free trial - stopped as soon as I paid. Do not use. Recordings did not work after the first time. Tried uninstalling and restarting my phone, but did not work. Recordings never showed up.

Terrible. I downloaded the app and it charged my account $59 without my knowledge. Tried to get a refund but it says it’s a free app. Disappointed that Apple doesn’t have an option to report the charge and app

Bad app. Do not download the application, it did not work for me and I deleted it from my phone and after a few days they charged me as if I were using it

Didn’t work, would like my money back. Used this app and didn’t work for me at all. I can’t even use the “contact us” option in the settings menu.

Did NOT record my call. I followed the outgoing call recording instructions and I got several minutes recorded of static. Awful service.

Says free; isn’t free. All phone Rec apps are like this. They’re free to download but recording calls is locked behind a paywall with subscriptions being required. It’s misleading and disappointing when it says it’s “free”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What is this?. Such a sad app!!!! The recording process was pretty simple, however, when I went to look for said recording, it was nowhere to be found. Maybe it just gives the aesthetics of recording your conversation, I don’t know.

Terrible!!!. I just made a legal call that could make or break someone’s life and the recording that I used has no sound. This is a terrible app. Do not use this if it is vital.

Total rip-off. No price or subscription listed and tries to get you to sign up with no Cancel option. The developers should have their hands chopped off and eyes gouged out.

Finally found what I was looking for!. This app works seamlessly! Easy to use as well

Delete. This app gives you no option to delete or cancel. If you go to settings it does not help. How am I able to cancel my membership?

Not usable. I regret my purchase. The recorder will hang up randomly in the middle of your call without warning. To me that’s completely broken.

Really?. This is the app is free as soon as you log in, you are prompted to a free trail for subscription. Why not just be honest so a customer knows and can decide before they download? Because you where not honest I have to say this app is horrible

Disgusting. I wish I could give zero starts. The app doesn’t work properly, Now I want to cancel my subscription but that is not allowing me to do that. I am emailing them everyday to cancel my subscription but no response. Please cancel my subscription.

Great app. Simple and works as it should

No sounds. My calls are being recorded, but there is no sound on the recording playbacks. Any advice? Will update my review after.

Don’t. Download this product if you’re expecting a free software at any point. You can’t use it whatsoever unless you sign up for a sub

They keep billing after cancel request. I sent an account cancel request on june 16th. I was just charged for another months service after send a request for my account to be canceled. Not cool guys not cool.

Have to turn on for every call. Not easy to cancel. They take all the billing information then you can’t cancel. Also not automatic. You must turn on for every call not what anyone in my line of work has time to do.

Deceiving. NO MENTION that this app costs $7.99 after 3 days until you give them personal information..if an app costs $ state it UPFRONT AND CENTER!!! This might have some barring on their in the 3’s rating

Pathetic app and developers ate scam artists. Developers are scam artist it doesn’t let you cancel your subscription so they can charge you. I am still figuring out how to cancel the subscription; email support team never responds. SCAM ARTISTS

Just wasn’t for me. Disliked how it has a beeping recording sign before recording them and the whole have to merge calls before you can record is horrible hope more obvious can that be! Having to add call then merge then beeping noooooo

Do not use. Needed to record a call with a client for notes. Recorded through this app and it was sent to me with no sound. I troubleshooted before hand but this is awful. I don’t know what to do now.

Didn’t work. I’m trying this app out, nice and easy signup, but it just didn’t work for me. I called the number and merged the call over speaker and earpiece and nothing pops up in the recording.
