Love this app. I love this app it gives me specifics for our neighborhood we are remote in Wyoming and several neighbors have weather stations connected to this app very helpful for the wind.

Works well. I’ve been using it for a few months now and it seems to be pretty reliable and updates reasonably quickly. The free level of service has a lot of functionality.

A long way to go. Well. Sorry to say I’m not impressed. Compared to the earlier version “2.0”has a modern look and feel. However on the early version all the data fitted on one page and it was an easy swipe to see month and year. On this new app it’s all over the place and the colors make it hard for me to read. Far far too much scrolling. Compared to other modern weather apps like Weather Underground it’s just not as useful. My advice to the Davis developers is to make it more data and data access centric and less “pretty”. Everything the station reports should be clear on the opening screen. Temperature yes, but other stuff is tiny and poorly distinguished. And please don’t make me scroll seemingly endlessly and still not find what I want. Most Davis users are likely data hacks anyway...

Last update crashes on open. iPhone 12 pro max. Once this is fixed I would be happy to update this review(good app when it works)

Runs well on Mac. The App Store description says this app is designed for iPad but not Mac. I have it running on an M1 Mac, Ventura 13.2. Seems to be 100%.

Software Issues. Davis makes the best instruments in its class. The software always needs work. For instance, this software doesn't do landscape mode in the iPad version. There is too much scrolling for what I consider primary information, like precipitation. Somebody suggested being able to move tiles. That is a good idea. The forecast doesn't need to be near the top, since the purpose of this software is to see current conditions. The forecast will always come from another app.

Unreliable Data Storage. WeatherLink Live is an unreliable method of storing your weather data. The system lacks ability to edit weather data (such as an errant rain gauge tip). There is no simple method of backup and restore of data. Retention policies are confusing. There are three levels, Standard, Pro, and Pro+. When removing a sensor suite as the primary WeatherLink station sensor suite, you will lose years of data immediately, without recovery, even at the cost incurring levels Pro and Pro+. You must frequently, manually download your data for safe keeping, which should not be necessary when paying for the service.

Weatherlink 1.0 is currently better.. Despite the glitzy interface, Weatherlink 2.0 is slow to refresh the weather station data, does not properly record rainfall intensity (always reads zero), and does not properly transmit current windspeed. The program has potential, but it is not yet ready for prime time. Other reviewers’ comments related to the need to refresh data by going back to the home page, and the elegance of the original Weatherlink 1.0 program compared to this one are spot on. I personally called the company and spoke to a responsive gentleman who went on-line to verify my complaints. Hopefully the program will be fixed, because I was told that Weatherlink 1.0 will soon not be operational.

Good but needs weather widget. The app is mostly good but sometimes not as easy to use as I would like. The biggest miss is not having a weather widget for the phone home screen or Apple Watch.

New update crashes. New update from 2 days ago… app crashes as soon as you open it. Remove and reinstalled with same results.

?. Downloaded latest app fix, now app will not open .

Not an improvement. This dot update didn’t help at all. Now you have to scroll each chart to get to the latest data for the hour. The last update was fine. The one before was even better. Not sure why Davis are screwing up their app. Still have the old app on the iPad. Won’t be updating that. Making things more difficult and inconvenient with each update. Would like to go back to the app I had in sept of 2020 but can’t find it. Would be nice.

SOLUTION: Use *myPWS* app for your data!. SOLUTION: 1) Register for a weather underground (WU) account. 2) Transmit your Davis PWS data time WU. 3) Download and use the *myPWS* app to display your PWS data. THAT app updates automatically at regular intervals, it’s the BOMB!! You won’t be able to see your indoor temperature and humidity, but a small price to pay to not need THIS horrible version of WeatherLink. Original review: -Add “v1.3 page” please- This version is a real step backward to WeatherLink users that were pleased by the simplicity of the previous 1.0-1.3 version. So many folks want access to the old version, which has been disabled in favor (by who?, not *real* users!) of this version. Here’s an idea that would make everyone happy... add a “1.3” page to this new version. Folks (like me) that want the simple version can access that. And also, please enable automatic update of the data to ten minutes. Folks that want to monitor their own Davis station using the app appreciate the ability to monitor “real time” data, and going back to “on-demand” with 10 minute auto-updates (like it was with previous version) would be favorable. Thank you!

Landscape mode needed for IPad. Love the app! The one big issue is need to have landscape mode for IPad users.

Weatherlink Live. There is a problem with your Weatherlink live in the forecast section. The forecast is way off in just about all of the settings. As much as 23 degrees difference between the high and low. Example: Today’s temperature is 44 degrees but the forecast is forecasting a high if 67 during a cold front coming in. This needs to be fixed.

New Version 2.2.2 Crashes on Startup. Version 2.2.2 released March 18, 2022 will now not run on original iPhone SE. Selected App Support link on iPhone app store page and says page not found at Davis so having to write issue here. Please fix. Reason I got Weather Link Live was to was real-time weather on my iphone on home network. App does not even open. Just crashes as soon as selected. Worked on previous versions.

Atrocious Graphic Design. Never before has so much information been rendered more opaque. Ignoring principles of color and design, Davis has taken a simple, well-liked app that displayed data and trends and attempted to give it that cutesie iOS sheen without regard for functionality or the essence of its customer. Trends over time? Customizable time periods? OUTSIDE TEMP has four columns. INSIDE TEMP has two columns. FEELS LIKE has three columns, all center justified, rendering them so much nonsense. Davis should listen to its heartbroken clientele and restore what was lost. Oh, and lose the ridiculous and inaccurate animation of what is happening at that weather station on home list. Mine always says it’s raining. Perhaps that’s just reflecting my mood since I updated this app.

App is no longer functional. App will crash now every time I attempt to use it. Was useful when it worked. Since it is no longer useful I will delete it. Would not recommend.

Long time user. I have had a Davis station for about 10 years. Using a desktop or laptop to look at data has long been replaced by looking at current and “recent history” on your phone or tablet. Removing the ability to look backwards at history on charts (temp, rain, wind, etc) was and REALLY unfortunate change to the app. It is our data, we pay for Premium subscriptions to accumulate this data. Removing the ability to see historical data is a terrible business decision. Please pay attention to comments. Use our subscription dollars to service the customer. Simplification is not data reduction it is a UI design.

Two different AQIs at once.. It lists the current AQI as 23.6 but graphs it as 0.1. I wonder if either is accurate.

Lost annual rainfall on latest update.. On recent app annual rainfall is recorded as daily rainfall. No fix?

Poor IPad app. I agree with the other reviewer’s. The iPad app needs to support landscape mode. It should also have better configurability, like others suggest being able to move the data points around on the screen. I really wanted to have a nice looking display that I could frame and hang on my wall. I have owned the vantage pro two for over 10 years with very high reliability. Davis has always fallen short on attractive ways to display the data.

No landscape view. While it is fast, no landscape view makes the iPad version much more useless. Also, when using the shortcut in the top right to jump to a section (wind, barometer etc) it usually jumps to the wrong section.

This version is crashing. It won’t run on my iPhone8 plus running iOS 14.8.1.

Where is the THSW?. We have a solar sensor so why no THSW?

Annoying update messages. I keep getting messages saying there’s an update available. If I choose to click on it, the update is not compatible with my iPad as it is an older one. I’m not gonna run out and buy a new iPad for WeatherLink. It doesn’t seem there is anyway to turn off that update message.

Crashes on takeoff. The latest update will not load on my iPhone 8 with iOS 15.4. The app crashes as soon as it opens. It’s certainly not the newest iPhone, but it’s the phone I had when I bought the weather station, and I shouldn’t have to buy a new phone only to use this app.

Where did map view go?. Seems like the ability to see location of stations on a map background was removed from the latest update of this app? Why?

Horrible “upgrade”. Literally poor.. Ah, Davis. What can I say? Did you hire elementary schoolers to design and write this “upgrade”? Sad for a company located so close to Silicon Valley. You managed to totally break the functionality of the reasonably suitable 1.0. No longer can you see the full weather station details “at a glance”. And the data updates slowly now, and many times is blank or spits a “server error”. All this in an attempt to go to a subscription model. I like my Davis hw. Sw has always been a weakness. Now they managed to bungle it further. Very disappointed. Recommendation: if you haven’t purchased a weather station yet, consider other hw/sw options. Davis clearly doesn’t invest in high tech or connectivity features.

Needs help. The individual station pages show a lot more information than the old app, but it's missing an important sensor to me (and I would think to some others)...the indoor temperature and it's lows. I use it for checking if a building is freezing or not. Also, the home page needs to keep up to date with the individual station reading, it's always behind and never as current as going into the station page. Restarting the app doesn't help, either. Along with that, please add a pull down to refresh and swipe right to go back to the main screen. All other app use those gestures easily. Other than that, the app is pretty good.

Worst weather app ever. Cumbersome, complicated to use, can’t delete unneeded stations, not at all intuitive. Is there a manual to help user figure out how to operate functions that are basic on better written apps?

Davis Weatherlink. Where have you been all my life? I was tired of little pictograms, cartoons and kiddie weather. I like data. Simple data. Barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed etc. found it. It does that.

Crashing after update. After update yesterday, app will not open. Only crashes. Have deleted and reloaded. No help

Not pretty but highly functional. I’ve tried the most popular weather system available today and I have to say that they all have fallen short or failed except for the Davis Instruments equipment which I have had for over 10 years. The app is very useful although it’s display seems dated and not as pretty as some of the others available. The best thing about the app and the weather station is that it updates automatically every 2.5 seconds. No other station that I have tried is that fast. Makes it easier to capture wind speed data.

Very nice. Technology is great. Live weather through our own station. Connected via local device and housed in the cloud. If the internet goes down the local device caches the data for days. Weather data is essentially live with very minimal second or so delay. Interface is clean with summary at top and details as you scroll down with sections for each weather type categorized.

Update broke the app. Just updated the app which said “bug fix” and now the app won’t launch. To add insult to injury if you click on the support button here you get a page not found error. ☹️

It just keeps getting better. The latest release (2/15) is really a nice improvement. More information in the graphs, displayed in a way that is very intuitive and easy to interpret. I’d love to see them expand the AQI graph to include the hourly range band like they did for temperature. Maybe in a later update. This works so well with WeatherLinkLive. The whole setup and user interface is well documented and easy to set up. I’ve had my Davis weather station for almost 8 years now, I’ve never been disappointed by it.

Horrible UI. Davis makes great weather stations, but there software is lacking and a horrible UX.

Good but .... Very good app but imho there should be improvements that would allow for end users to rearrange tiles. And dark mode would be good. To Davis: take a look at other weather apps and make this one a bit more “with the times”. This version seems to be just breaking out of the DOS era.

Need Landscape Mode. Time to update the software to support tablets. This is way past due.

I Like Version 2. I find the summary page very useful. Each station you save has the basic information. Temp, wind direction, wind, speed and humidity. I have the stations arranged from north to south and I can see the progress of a cold front at a glance.

Latest update broke storm total reporting. The last update to the app has caused the app to no longer report storm totals on iPhone and iPads. The rain portion, date calculation and duration are all wrong. The current rain total and 24 hour total appear to still work fine. Wish the app had more displays, similar to the WeatherLink account displays or the Davis weather console device displays. Actually, the app is pretty limited and has less function now that the storm total no longer works.

Weatherlink 2 Not Data-centric/Scientific. Version 2.0 is a big let down for me as a backyard Vantage Pro2 owner from a weather geek perspective. It lacks the chemistry of tying all of the current, daily, monthly, and annual stats together. I liked the WL 1 views of data because I could easily compare my weather station to other regional stations w/o jumping around a bunch of different screens. I doubt “regular” consumers normally buy the excellent Vantage Pro2 or some of the other nice Davis weather instruments, so why did we have to lose the ease of the prior data-centric/scientific views of our weather stations? I know Davis can do better than the consumer eye candy they offer in WL2. Sad, I hope the Davis marketing and Web/IOS teams are given new directions to better support the weather geeks who really get into backyard forecasting and data analysis of their Davis stations and others listed in the Davis network/cloud. I am hopeful we will see a course correction from Davis in the future.

Sideways. LANDSCAPE MODE FOR IPAD!

Doesn’t work after March 2022 update. App no longer works at all after update 2 days ago.

Weather Station. Love the product does everything! A lot of information. Recommend getting a widget made for phone users

Outstanding. I think this app is outstanding. Not only can I find out information from our weather station, I’m able to access numerous other weather stations in various parts of the world.

OK, but missing should-have features. • There’s no iOS widget which would be nice to see one’s AQI with a single swipe. • There’s no way to have multiple people, each with their own iPhone, to have separate logins on their respective phones, for the same account. I.E., there should be the account owner login with admin privileges, and other users that can simply install the app and view data, but not have privileges to make any changes.

Needs Rotation Support. Hello! I would be really great if the developers could make it so the app can be turned horizontally. It would make for more options for a table top dashboard/command center.

Fun & Accurate. This app works well with the Davis weather stations and provides up to the minute information about weather from various chosen reporting stations. Pretty basic stuff but can make charts and reports if desired by going on a monthly subscription. More customization is available but there is a small fee.

Save Station Order. Hi Davis. If you’re reading this there is a glitch whereby the app is not allowing me to Save Station Order. Every time I move a station to another position and then hit Save Station Order, the stations just revert back to how they were previously listed.

Potential but feels unfinished. Lots of potential but an incomplete app. Come on Davis can’t you put a bit more effort into development of the app?

Incorrect data in app.. Half the information in the app is wrong. Solar highs at midnight, THSW temps of 6.1 when it’s 20+ outside. Some days the graphs work. Other days they don’t. Seriously Davis used to be good. Now not so much sorry to say.

Finally chart data fixed. Please test properly before releasing update, there has been 3 releases in the last 2 weeks! Still frustrated by Davis wanting you too pay for your data for more than 15 minute updates and other information!

Why did you break it?. What did you do to this AP?! It was great, easy to use, compare and manage. Then you changed it. Now it’s all graphic and no substance. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the first version. I hardly want to use it now. Roll it back!

Can’t open stations anymore. Individual stations no longer load data when tapped on. Homepage shows it but tapping on each station fails to load data.

No landscape view on iPad. Would give it 5 stars if it would view in landscape mode on an iPad

Rubbish. Can’t change any settings (Cannot update preference) and can’t access any weather stations (Request failed: internal server error (500)).

Please can we go back. Great weather stations. Really, really awful software. Please can we go back to the old mobile ap where everything most users wanted was right there on the page when you opened it up, no need to select, scroll, blah blah. If you needed history you could simply swipe through the pages to see what you needed.

How to change to Celsius. Nice design, but can’t figure out how to change units to Celsius. Same is tru for the WeatherLink website

Odd upgrade to pro option. It seems in this latest of many updates I can upgrade any station in my list. I haven’t gone all the way but seems I can

Made for American market. This app is made largely for the US market and its usefulness outside the US is limited. The weather data it uses in Australia is highly generalised and gives very inaccurate outcomes once applied to local areas. It refuses to allow you to use the international standard date format did/mm and so can also be confusing to try and interpret.

Update. Liking it all the old records have come over

Not working. Discovered V2 by accident. Why is it being kept a secret from V1 users? Why not an automatic update to all users? It took about 10 attempts to log in using my V1 details. The email for a password change never arrived after about 5 attempts, but it decided to log me in finally with my V1 details. Loaded all my account details but can't locate my weather station. Search by name or search by location is not working. It shows no stations in my city which has many Davis weather stations and my whole state only shows 3 stations. A waste of time.

Great but provide precise temperatures. The app only includes temperature recordings to the whole number and not to the tenth. Other than that it’s a great app

Doesn’t load. Used to work doesn’t load any stations at the moment.

Terrible Software. I can’t use the software anymore bc it says I have to upgrade. My IOS is not the current one so I am stuck forever on the prompt for downloading the previous software which doesn’t happen. It’s unbelievable that an owner can’t just Bluetooth data from the weather station. Won’t be buying any more Davis gear

Not live. The “live” capability hasn’t been working for weeks. Although it says live at top of screen data is actually only updating every 3-5 mins. Since the device is called WeatherLink live this is a MAJOR PROBLEM. please fix this

Latest update crashes on iPhone 6S. WeatherLink app immediately reverts to the Home Screen. Recent update poorly tested. Software is not a strong point of Davis.

Works well - watch compilation would be great.. Works well - watch compilation would be great.

Giant backwoods step. This was a good app but now it is awful and to add insult to injury they now want you to pay for content.

KJ55. This app works well and reliable. Used for several years and I monitor conditions on sites around Australia & New Zealand.

Endless loop, app/iOS update. Poor coding, loss of functionality due to old iOS support update prompts in app, taking me to the update that I can’t perform (iPhone 5) This was a basic but functional app that has made my investment in the Davis hardware look shaky. Others have complained about the problem, please fix it.

Thanks. It’s working again with that fix

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Been waiting for Davis over 2 years now to realize their disaster, which is this app. Time to walk away from this and revert back to what you had originally. I have to agree with 90% of the negative reviews, we all spent big money on your equipment and this “new” UI is horrible in all aspects. Would love to see the macOS software fixed too but they just don’t seem to care. One can dream I suppose…

Big step backwards. Old version was elegant in its simplicity- new version is visually confusing and frustrating to read. Would much prefer old version.

Okay. It seems okay, but the rainfall animations in the station favourites view is giving me seizures.

Old version was better. New layout more graphic but takes longer to get the numbers. Has issues with below zero or -18 c will not go below and show true temperature.

What happened?. The old version was much easier to read the data quickly and easily. The new version will not register below -18c. I spent thousands on hardware and now this app is useless for low temp data. It’s a shame.

Can’t save locations.. Can’t save locations in latest version. Please fix.

Simple things not easily available.. How cold did it get Tuesday night? How much rain did we get yesterday? At the bottom in the records section let us easily scroll through the days, months or years not the current painful dropdowns.

Davis Dev team lost its quality!. Backyard weather folks don’t care about graphics. They care about their data. Old version was simple, user friendly and defined perfection. New version is tacky, there’s more graphics than data.

Good!. Perfect application!

Needs Landscape mode. The app currently only presents in Portrait mode; developer needs to implement Landscape mode as well for us keyboard users! Apple provides all the development tools to do this easily.

Version 2.2.2 Won’t Launch Do Not Install Update. Do not update the latest version (2.2.2). Won’t even launch now.

Nice improvement, but still some work to do.. Some nice features, but you should still keep going. I like the “records” section, but it could be easier to use, and would be nice to be able to compare months from different years, or multiple years to each other, etc. there is also a bug... the low temperature never shows below zero. Progress, but keep going. Check out WunderStation. The ability to customize the display is nice.

Hate It. They should have never changed from the old version. It was intuitive and ALL of your data was easy to see by swiping through 4 screens. The new version is not user friendly at all. Is confusing and a lot of the station info is not there. Sure hope they get enough bad reviews to trash this new version. The online data is at least viewable and provides all of the data on one easy to use screen. HATE the new IPHONE app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

V2.0.11 Wind direction needs help.. I agree that this app needs more love. I like the added live update function but notice the wind speed and direction values now change BUT, the graphical compass pointer does NOT appear to update. This is an important visual to show updates are happening. Denser screens would be appreciated.

Worse by orders of magnitude than old app. As an example, rain rate .93/hr in the old app — 0.0 in the new app. While the new app does have a cute animation showing rain that the old app lacks, somehow I think I’d rather correct information over clever animations. Oh yeah, and if you find a way to report this as the bug that it is, please let me know, cause the app support link for the app is just a never ending set of canned responses with no obvious fall-through to report an issue.

Not very useful. I pay to be a “pro user” and this app gives you no ability to view any data from your station other than the current data. Oddly, you can scroll through historical barometric pressure & rainfall data only...but you can’t see historic temp, humidity, etc. I think all the reviews are accurate that this is pretty disappointing for a company that specializes in collecting detailed weather data. Also, my station time is set correctly, but the time the app shows for my barometric history data appears to be off +9 hours.

Huge disappointment. I have a Vantage Vue weather station at my cabin. I use it to monitor the outside temp so I can control the inside temp. The new app is more concerned about providing the weather forecast for my current location. I have to jump through hoops every time I open the app to get the data from my weather station 100 miles away rather than all the weather stations in a 25 mi radius. It no longer provides the historical highs and lows for my station. It does not do what it needs to do.

Looking good!. A welcome change for my weather viewing! It looks like Davis has refreshed their app and added a few fun items as well...

Reset rating????. Why did you reset ratings, most bad, instead of listening to what your long time people are saying. I have been using my WeatherLink station for almost 10 years to monitor my beach house. I also added one to my current home so I can see all my actual weather data (rain, wind and temperatures in and outside) at both locations. We don’t use this app for weather forecast. That was never its purpose. Every smart phone has the weather channel app on it for getting the weather forecast. Maybe you could offer a “lite” version that was like the old WeatherLink 1 and still be able to keep your subscription customers on WeatherLink 2. Just a dream.

WeatherLink 2. App needs text settings like the original. Annoying graphs and such. Opening greeting needs to be disabled. Not a good idea... “let’s look at the weather” is about as intelligent as... why did we open app if not to check weather, as well as opening local weather when want different locations. Has to be a better app out there.

Great weather station - app has a significant problem. I love Davis instruments - I’ve been using their weather stations for 10 years, and the relatively new cloud support is awesome. However, this app has a major issue, which shouldn’t be too hard to fix: it will not work in landscape mode on an iPad. Given that landscape mode on an iPad is increasingly the way it is used (with keyboards, iPadOS, etc.) this should be corrected. For everything else, it’s a killer app. I’ll bump up to 5 stars when the rotation issue is fixed. (It would be nice to have a Control Center widget, as well.)

Will not refresh. The new update broke the refresh for data on the weather stations. You have to manually click on each station to see the current real time data. Main screen does not show real time data for each station.

Annoying Background Motion Graphics, Small Text. Screen with multiple selected Stations shows constantly moving pictorial weather overlay. This display detracts and distracts User’s ability to differentiate and review Station data. Suggest to use a simple, small, and static visual to represent clouds, rain, etc. that does not obliterate numerical and directional values. Or perhaps enable User option to freeze motion or eliminate that display. Also suggest to increase text size of data at least on multi-Station screen. Thanks for considering and implementing enhancements.

Good app but needs better QC before update release. I love the app, but this latest update broke refresh of some things like the station list. If you want the values updated you have to close the app completely and reopen it. This needs fixing ASAP!

Steps backward from WeatherLink 1.0. Pretty disappointed so far. Seems like a major step backward from the 1.0 app. Major problems for me: - No time stamp to see how current the data is - No way to refresh without going back to the “home page” and clicking on the station again - No way to get tabular display like 1.0 app, and new display requires too much scrolling to see all my data (I should be able to see every piece of data my weather station collects without scrolling, extras like the forecast and the solar power estimator should be separate) - The solar power estimator displays impossible values - The rain rate is always 0.0, even if the 1.0 app displays something higher Please, PLEASE improve this app before disabling the 1.0 app!

I am hopeful we will see a course correction from Davis in the future.

Horrible successor to the original app. I own multiple Davis weather stations are heretofore was able to monitor them with WeatherLink 1.0. The application was well laid out and it was easy to quickly view pertinent data for each station. WeathetLink 2.0, on the other hand, appears to have been laid out by a drunk suffering from a Saturday night hangover. There is too much data, all illogically arranged, and had to be one of the worst designed weather monitoring applications in history. I hate it so much that as time comes to replace my Davis stations I will be buying from their competitors. Stay away from Davis if you want an IOS application that has any value whatsoever.

Bad Software. Previous version worked fine with the $1400 Davis weather station. This software doesn't work at all, and we may as well have a paperweight with a weathervane at our remote site. Perhaps Davis should consider testing software prior to release. We have contacted tech support several times, to no avail. Do not plan on using their hardware or software again and would not recommend them.

Deleted WL 1 account, setting up WL 2 seamless. Upload to WU flawless. Big improvement over WL 1. Perfect? nothing ever is. WU killing of Storm for a glitzy advertising driven radar app from the arrogant, entitled and biased Weather Channel was insulting. Who else feels entitled to name storms? Thanks for having the back of PWS owners. Looking forward to updates.

A total failure. It went from a useful tabular data display to an attempt for a glitzy display. It lost all the daily, monthly and annual data display. It’s now a poor Weather Channel like clone. The addition of a forecast, which is unrelated to the stations location adds no value. It could be for a location a thousand feet different on the other side of a mountain. For agricultural uses it lacks the precipitation data such as monthly and annual. It no longer shows the time of occurrence of peak wind gusts, high and low temperatures, humidity, barometer, wind chill and heat index. At best it’s a flop that a real weather equipment company should recognize.

A step backwards. Stylish layout but difficult to use. The tight columnar data on the original version was much easer to interpret at a glance. Now information is spread out over several pages and is difficult to assimilate. BIG problem, it appears that all of my data from earlier in the present year is lost (have not checked other, previous years). We had several record cold readings at this station in the spring, now it appears I will be unable to compare those record readings with anything in the future. - Inconvenient, overly complex display - Lost historic data A major loss of usefulness, I would definitely go back to the original if I could. DAY

Bad information. My local stations are showing completely errant information. For example, two stations show annual rainfall of 6 and 41 inches. Rainfall totals for the area are less than 0.5 inches. The last 3 years combined have not reached 41 inches. I’m not sure what has happened at Davis but, I will not upgrade my station. Furthermore, the app should mirror the WeatherLink website as far as graphing and historical data. This is now a downgrade rather than an upgrade. Very unfortunate.

Easy to us, clean interface. Much better than competitor’s apps. Installed, signed in, and had my weather info immediately available. No annoying ads, no app crashing, no push to purchase “premium” services (*ahem* Weather Channel/WU). Great app.

Login? Seriously?. Everyone is now required to register and login just to view weather conditions? We use a Vantage Pro2 station at our small airport, and the WeatherLink 1.0 app was a good way to view the info quickly and easily. And without needing to supply an email address and entering a password. This isn’t Top Secret data we’re talking about here, it’s just the $&%#*! weather.

Not really an upgrade. It may be a revamped and “upgraded” update, but the prior version was much more intuitive and useful. The juvenile graphics (rain, clouds, etc.) are very annoying, especially when you have multiple stations on your home page. PLEASE allow us to “downgrade” to the previous version, or at least give us the option of turning off juvenile graphics on the home page. PLEASE!!!

Works well. I like it compared to the old version . However, there needs to be a way to adjust the order of the stations being monitored .

Useless app!. Can’t use this app in my storm shelter because the WeatherLink App won’t access data over WiFi! Also, requires Location Service to be active. It won’t even allow you to login without Cellular Data and Location Service... Cellular data isn’t available everywhere and my GPS location isn’t always where I want to check the weather conditions!!!

Will not work right. Even though I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station this app will not recognize it. Even when I type in the Davis Assigned station name and use my location. Trying hard to get something that will allow me to look up data from my station, like the old, early weatherlink app use to before the Weather Channel got involved.

Thank you!

Says my station isn’t reporting. Something is badly broken. The app intermittently says my station isn’t reporting... and the same for most of the stations in my area. At the same time, it’s trying to sell me a subscription to “improve reporting speed.” Just fix reporting and I might consider subscribing....

Hold off buying the new instrument or app until this one is reliable. This was released way before it should have been. A good example is that my indoor temp is nothing close to reality. My console says one temp and the app shows at least 4 degrees above why the console states. This means you cannot trust anything on your app so why invest in the weather link. I m definitely not buying their new instrument Davis is trying to get us to preorder if they cannot even get the products already out to be any thing close to accurate.

Too clean of a design. In this day of minimalist, clean app designs Davis went too far. Or did they just not try hard enough to get it right? I can’t decide. I miss the way all the historical data Was displayed in the old version. I think that data is available in this version but it’s hard to figure out. I also can’t for the life of me figure out how to change the order of the stations on the main page. The app is anything but intuitive.

Can’t believe how outrageous the bugs are. I have a chart of rainfall that is totally inconsistent from the table next to it on basics like daily rainful. Then there’s the time axis that varies between charts. Some are up to date, some stuck, yet the instantaneous results are being updated while the chart is stuck. It’s bizarrely contradictory on the same page. From a software programming perspective that almost makes me think of deliberate sabotage. Its hard to figure how someone could accidentally do such a bad job. I just can’t trust the data. Requiring email for others to access makes no sense other than for spam purposes. Please replace whoever wrote this app and hire an experienced school senior.

Old data, poor presentation. Data doesn’t update automatically and it’s not obvious that you are looking at temps from much earlier. (Please time stamp last update on app and website!) Forced updates are cumbersome and very slow. I much prefer the clear widget based presentation on the web page. The webpage tabular presentation is also fine. Couldn’t the app look more like this? Or even just like the vantage pro2 console would be an improvement. I just want a simple clear app to view my own weather station without all the clutter and imputed, mystery sourced data that wunderground has now. Loved weather display live until flash support was dropped. Davis should be in a good position to fill this need.

Improved. Definitely improved, although in this day and time needs to be integrated with iPad and Apple Watch. Apple Watch integration would set this app apart from the rest.

A Disaster. This “upgrade” is terrible. We loved the old version. Gave us all the information we needed in a nice format. And easy to share with friends. The new version is too complicated, too hard to use, and too hard to share with friends. And is missing some interesting information (like the time of the highest wind gust). To Davis management. You have been totally bamboozled by your technical team. My advice: fire them all, start over.

Not quite what it should be. Let’s face it... Davis makes great weather stations, but lousy apps. This app looks nice, but the data is spread out so you have to scroll up and down to see it. I much prefer the simpler interface of version 1. Also, this version is only suitable for an iPhone. Viewing the HTML bulletin page in the iPad Browser on the iPad is much better and is preferred at this point. At this point, I’m also using the myPWS app on both my iPhone and iPad since it presents most of the same info in a far simpler interface.

Bring back 1.0!. As stated by other people, 2.0 is horrible! We do not need to see the pretty little clouds floating by! I just want to see weather data all on one page from all my stations without having to use a magnifying glass to read the wind direction!!!! If 2.0 what is needed for security reasons, re-design it to look just like 1.0. I bought these weather stations because I liked the layout of 1.00 then it went away. Not happy at all after I spent thousands of dollars on weather stations! Shame on you Davis!

Works great. Local sheriffs office has a station, love getting weather report from right down the road. The app seems just fine to me, layout is direct and I have no problem finding the information I need.

A good start, lacks a little.. In our area you are gaining customers on the agriculture side. I am a farmer and several neighbor farmers are moving to your Davis stations. The app has a good look and feel with way to use navigations. Currently myself and some neighbors still use other weather apps due to the following shortcomings. - Needs a pull to refresh on station and overview pages. Possibly a last refresh time also to know when it has updated. - Needs radar!!! Every farmer uses radar and everyone I have talked to wishes this app had radar. I still have to use my other apps to get all the information I need. Please look and consider these easy recommendations to making this app better.

Solid start. Very happy with the new WeatherLink. It’s good to see Davis take over where Weather Underground once dominated, user friendly apps for local weather stations. I’ll be watching to see how accurate the forecast is, but it is obvious they are not using the airport 30 miles away like all the other weather apps do.

No high wind speed time...no sharing ability, AWFUL!!!. Once again, a new update, far less content, simplistic, stretched out, requires scrolling or swiping to see what was ONE screen before — much lower functionality. Impossible for our friends/neighbors to share data now, none of us can figure new app out. Worst, I’m in the middle of a blistering coastal storm with no power, on generator and this useless new app won’t display time of highest storm wind speed. It always did before - why not now?? NO way to give feedback via app, I had to go to Apple app store to complain. You need to FIX THIS or I’m ditching our weather station and finding someone else.

Worse than 1.0. All the glitz and glamor of the new app may be pretty, but you lost functionality. What good is a weather app that doesn’t update automatically? Also with this latest roll out, you took away key features that brought me to the app in the first place. I will not be using any of your products again until you get it right.

App needs an update. I have noticed in the graphs that they are not accurate unless I completely close the app and relaunch it. At that point everything is works correctly at first, but then keep the app open and sure enough the graphs won’t update until I close the app again. Also, I added an additional temp sensor to my system and it only shows up on my app. No one else can see it. Hope these things can get fixed.

So yesterday in design. Davis May make great weather station hardware but their software is lame. The iOS version only displays properly on a iPhone not an iPad. Finally Davis after two years updated the WeatherLink to ver 2.0 well behind all other software. Even with the update, there are few unique features and you a stuck with a basic text display.

Disappointed. Very disappointing in the fact it will not show below zero temps. I am a weather watcher for a local TV station and call in my report remotely. Now I can not give low temps! I told the TV station to remove Davis from my weather watcher station data as I now can’t rely on it. Been a weather watcher for over 15 years and now need something different.
