Terrible game don’t waste your time. If your thinking this game is Like Command and Conquer Generals I was sadly mistaken this game is super Lame I am deleting it today not that warpath came out I suggest everyone go play that this game is terrible in the beginning i was dominating the battle field but having control of the missile you can easily win which is so cheesy the battles are way too short I thought they would At least give you time to get Units ready for battle worst game for a mobile app It was a tease because I thought it would be like Generals zero hour or red alert this game is terrible definitely more for kids the battles are too short and my commander has reached level 7 so they usually match me up against very high level units usually with units that are already level 11 and i barley have 1 unit that reached level 8 how is a Level 8 titan supposed to go up against a level 11 titan that makes no sense they completely annihilate you sometimes rushing your base and your harvesters giving you no time too build units and even if you do build a unit they have already built a wall of High Tech Units literally destroying your entire unit with a single shot .. yea Terrible game EA did great with Generals and Zero hour i understand those were computer games but I thought this would at-least be similar .. NO STARS IN MY ERIC CARTMAN voice lol

Clumsy and imbalanced. I’ve tried playing this game for a while now and here’s what I’ve gathered: 1) Imbalanced. From early on I could tell that I was frequently getting matched against others that are several levels above me. In some cases it’s not a big deal since it’s labeled as a “challenge battle” in that you can’t lose points for it. But in many cases it matches you at the most inconvenient times and when it hurts you most, such as events and races. At this point, your opponent doesn’t even need to outwit you; they can literally just outmuscle you with their higher leveled units despite using proper units. Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the past year or so that I’ve played. The match ups will often be way off balance; even vice versa. I don’t enjoy when I get paired up against someone who is several levels below me. They need to close the gap between what’s considered imbalanced. 2) Clumsy. The interface is seriously clunky. At first I thought it was just me since I was new at it. That argument quickly fell apart as I could see the game failing to respond to my commands. I should clarify that i downloaded on iOS. So went on to argue that perhaps it was just my phone being a bit old; I was really trying to give it the benefit of the doubt here. Alas, I got a new phone but the interface didn’t change. Interface has only gotten worse and has continued to worsen.

lvl 21 review. i've played all cnc from the beginning and this is nothing like the original, which is perfectly fine because there's no way a game like that could be played on a touchscreen. this game has been fun so far, but now i reached a point where i play people much higher than my rank and it says i'll earn twice the amount of xp for winning or lose no xp for losing. realistically you're going to lose most of the time against these people because they have stronger troops. now it feels like a pay to win game. also, i noticed i am playing a lot of the same opponents over and over. i guess not many people are playing this game anymore? it would be nice if they added a third faction like scrin to give the game more variety. or an even better idea would be if every commander had 2 special abilities for example kane would have obelisk of light and a nuclear bomb. or if Lt strongarm had the turret and paratroopers. having 2 abilities would be a lot more unpredictable edit: lvl 35 now, update review. i'm changing from a 3 star to a 4 star because they are constantly balancing units and releasing new units as well. 👌

Read the reviews, they don’t lie. Straight-up, I thot I was the only one being pitted against players Wayy above me 0ver & 0ver again... Until I read these. It makes sense now, they want u to pay to advance your rank- TREMENDOUSLY FRUSTRATING that the ONLY only outcomes are to be GROSSLY ANHIALLATED OR surrender (9/10 of these challenge matches, your opponent is 2-3 levels above you & their weakest units absolutely decimate your strongest units with 2 or 3 shots, not to mention producing units 4x faster.) There’s ZER0 point in playing after doing so for a couple weex (which were fun) cuz unless you plan on giving up a credit card # & spending GOOD $ on this BS game, you’ll be matched against players literally 5x stronger than you. I’ve already sent a couple emails to the support team but, of course, heard nothing back. They’re also allowing players to hack the game, thus creating an invincible army & taking away ANY & ALL medals that you MAY have earned in the 1st week or two. I don’t think anyone will fully appreciate the one-sidedness of the game until actually playing it, but just take my & the other ‘reviewers’ word for it- NOT WORTH IT

Fun, but pay to win. This is a great game. The units are varied and strategizing is a blast. The only thing is is that it is very much pay to win. If you are good you will reach a point where everyone has units 2-3 levels high than yours. Thus making strategy useless. The enemy can send out units with a disadvantage and take out your units. The only way to upgrade your units is by getting cards from chests. How do you get chests? By advancing in the league or by spending gems to get them. The game will give you a few gems but not nearly enough to buy even one chest. The chests you get from the league are very far and few so even if you do get them, you probably won’t get the cards you need. At silver the level cap is 8. The level up a common unit to level 6 is 75 cards. You get 10-15 cards per mid tier chest (the prize for advancing in silver). So even if you get the cards you need you will not have enough. Thus they prompt you to spend your hard earned money to win. Anyways, I’m done ranting. It is still a fun game mechanically.

Narrow gameplay that the devs keep making worse.. Hardly strategy with all the harvester rushing that happens and the devs have rewarded cheap unit rushes with the latest “balancing.” The devs have continuously made changes that make it pointless to attempt to build tech. Expecting epic battles involving C&C’s most fearsome units? Nope, rocket soldiers and tiny vehicle destroyers are what you can find. Recent balances that have ruined tech: decreasing missile time for the first nuke and, most recently, inexplicably increasing the cost of tech buildings. However, the cheap crap is allowed to persist; disruptors, tib missile, tib gas, and ion cannons can all destroy bases with ease. One glaring balance that has been needed is some balance adjustment to Basilisks; they are NEVER a liability. They can take out vehicles, buildings, and troops with ease. They also have too much armor to easily take down for their damage. Why the specific anti-air planes can’t take them out with one hit is frustrating; what’s the point. In conclusion, the devs need to freshen up the gameplay by making balances that allow for more than one type of play to dominate. It’s getting boring, guys.

This isn’t command and conquer. I have played this game for a good two weeks and I am disappointed to say this is just not a command and conquer game it doesn’t feel like one instead it feels something akin to clash royal i honestly had fun with the game for the first week but around gold one was we’re I ran into the problem of the enemy having better equipment all around, this continued until I dropped down to gold three most of this was do to me coming across ridiculously high level enemies for we’re I stand, a level ten zone trooper would eat through my level five rhinos time and time again but the worst part was when I dropped to gold three and silver twos had better troops than I did all level wise you only get a crate every four hours and have to progress like mad to get any more or wait to get them as daily rewards. This begs the question we’re are these lower level players getting these high levels, from buying crates no doubt anyone who legitimately grinds this game and has skill most likely will lose to the player who spent fifty dollars on the game and got lucky with the troops he received I know it’s a free to play game but the grind is just absurd. For anyone who truly wants to play a good command and conquer game go onto your computer and go download one there you might actually find quality.

You’re going to love it for a week, but then.... Like the title says, you’re going to love this game for a week. It’s addictive and a lot of fun. However, once I got to a certain rank, 90% of my matches are now challenge battles against much higher ranked opponents. It’s constantly an uphill battle that my units can not win. I tried multiple strategies, different unit combinations, everything except spending a fortune on crates, all to no avail. It’s sad really. I enjoy the game, but watching my win percentage go from 70% to 40% all due to challenges gets a bit old. I can imagine that the reason for this is that so many players quit at or before the point I’m at. There’s just so few low/mid ranked people that are going to stick it out. Update: Changed my review to a one star. After playing ten matches today, every single one of them was a challenge match that are impossible to win. It really is a shame that this game could have been really fun. Unless you have tons of expendable income to blow on crates, don’t bother downloading this game. There’s not enough new to midrange players left to make the matches remotely balanced.

Fun game. This game is one of the best games I ve ever played. Don’t let the bad reviews fool you, most of the people who write the bad reviews are less experienced at the game. They do not know that the true excitement of this game reliant on hard counters and micromanagement. This game should not be treated as a cnc game, as it has no elements of traditional strategy or the cnc plot, as it is meant to be a tiberium all star game with focus on tactical control of units instead of the strategic control of units in other cnc games. The beauty of the game is not in the unit levels but rather in the general strategy of your play style. Want to get tech units like the mammoth tank? Go double harvesters. Want to end the game quickly with two swift missiles? Go aggro with a single harvester and kill your opponent before their tech units get out. What strategy you choose, there is only 6 unit slots, so choose wisely.

Not like Red Alert 2 or Generals. I can see myself getting bored play this game. Same thing over and over again. I was hoping for a game similar to Red Alert 2 or Generals. It is an ok game. It does takes strategy to win battles so it is close. I really would love to see the return of the Red Alert 2. That game I wouldn’t mind spending money on. Give us something that has a storyline and missions to complete. ok after playing the game for several months now i am not getting tired of the action at all. this is the most fun i have had on my ipad or iphone. i can’t get enough of this game. sure you can spend money and i have. But you don’t have too. It’s just a lot slower to level up but the fun is still there. i have been beat by low level players that had some serious game strategy. you learn a little more from every loss. i have seen people with lev 3-8 stuff in Master 1. so the whole pay to play stuff gets blown out of the water. You can climb up the ladder if you have game. End of story.

Thoroughly Good game, but pay to win.. This game is great, with lots of units, strategies and characters (and C&C lore too) and presents a definite drive to grind. But it thrives on pay to play, I can not help but think that my opponent who has massively higher level units has paid to be able to win when I have not spent a dollar. Pay for play takes you out of the game, wrecks the immersion and the thrill of the battle, as how well you do in the outside world comes into the game (paycheck size or willingness of parents, yes the younger people as well are in this). You play a game to escape the outside world, not see it come to wreck in just another way. I recognize that it is how the company makes its money but perhaps it could make its money off of cosmetics. This could include unit skins, map skins, possibly an in-game map maker feature as dlc. Possibly special colors and effects for special abilities and unit kills. They already have emotes to buy, I do not understand why this game can not be like League of Legends or similar games and allow a fair playing field and still make a killing on hardcore fans, which are most of the people who play this game on a daily basis anyways. If you want to make it to the top without paying, you can, but it will be a hard.. and long journey, that unfortunately doesn’t get to be that way for others. But it could be, the developers willing..

Lots of fun, Definitely not pay to win. Although it’s hard to get to the highest tiers of the competition without grinding for unit levels, there are plenty of events that serve as level equalizers that cap unit strength to your highest. The game is all about unit counters, so your levels are not necessarily the end all be all so long as you’ve got good micro and deck construction. If the matchmaker since you’re up against an opponent who is hired of the units, it is considered a challenge match and you do not actually lose anything at all, but get double the points if you win. Fantastic balance. They managed to fit a good real time strategy on mobile, and I think it’s definitely worth a try for anyone interested in a strategy game. Contains two factions that both have some interesting twists. Your deck is limited to 6 units, so good preplanning is required. A+

Check your fight replay. The computer winsbeen playing this game off and on for about 2 years and I always check my fight replay to see what I did right and what I did wrong. I have noticed that the harvesters dig slower if your ahead in the fight. Giving the other side the opportunity to catch up and send soldiers or machines out quickly to balance the fight. The next thing I noticed is the number of power that accompanies the soldier or machine, it’s the number for strength. Like an 8 would not last long if your fighting a 10. But in some instances the lower number will for some reason have more strengthcheckc and blow a 10 away. Of course some reasons are a strong machine could kill a person no matter the strength number, but I have witnessed this to not always be the case. Another thing I noticed (because it happens to me a lot) are the challenges that come one after another when your getting closer to reaching a higher rank. It’s as though the system is trying to keep you from advancing. The harder it is to advance also has most players buying diamonds and money to upgrade there army, which could be the reason for keeping you from advancing. Don’t get me wrong there are some natural players out there that are the wizards of this game and have advanced in the ranks even though there army has low strength numbers. But I have noticed the difference’s and if you watch your replay videos, you will notice that this is happening.

Starts great but ends up horrible. This game started out to be a lot of fun and I thought it had great potential. But once you play for a few days and move up the ranks then you start getting more “challenge battles”. This is where you get a challenge opponent because they are twice your level meaning their units are twice as powerful than yours or they unlocked other units that you haven’t yet. There’s some challenge battles that are less difficult than others but the more you play, it seems the more challenge battles you get and the more difficult the opponents become. I played for 3-4 days now and the game is almost unplayable because of this. Just about every one of my battles now is a “challenge battle” and most are near impossible to win. I think they just don’t have enough players that are closer to my level to match me with so I keep getting very high ranked opponents and it’s very frustrating. I don’t care if I had to wait a little longer to load into a match as long as it gave me an opponent closer to my level. Or maybe they make it like this to try to make you want to pay for better stuff. The game is almost unplayable for me now.

Fun until…. This game is fun to start with. You learn strategy and start to win against other “people”. People being the key word. Once you start getting to levels above 7 you begin to notice that some players have units much higher than they’re level. For example, you will play someone who is level 8 with level 11 units. So you get decimated. That’s fairly common. But the kicker is, often the other “Player” knows exactly how you are starting whether it be infantry or mechanized ground, or air. As soon as you start to build your forces, they already know what you are doing. I think often times I’m playing against a program that is trying to learn strategy. Plus the game is giving them an advantage knowing what you are building before a “human” could possibly know. It’s shady. It’s a fun game but to stay competitive you absolutely must spend money or wait for the challenge competitions.

Good game, but.... The game is fun, but when I saw the ad, I was thinking of a large scale battlefield with mobile bases and a thousand ways to attack, and the ability to capitalizing on the stats of either the allies, Soviet Union, or the Imperial Empire like in Red Alert, but when I started playing the game, the feeling from the original games when away and left me with an “oh...” kinda feeling, the game itself isn’t that bad, but it barely relates to the original games, the screen is fixed in a certain area without and movement, the bases are fixed in place, the need to build endless fields power plants and other essentials and gone, and it’s purely a capture this point kinda game that personally gets boring really quickly, it’s not so bad that I can’t even look at it anymore and rave about it on Twitter, but it wasn’t nearly what I was expecting and gets boring easily, but at least it brings in new features like personal troop upgrades though, and it’s a red vs blue style game, but I hope that we get a game like that soon where we can rest on feelings nostalgia while besting the Soviet Union at every turn with our friends, or fail and get crushed by the hammer over and over again with said friends. Thank you for reading this review if you did, and I hope I’ve given you guys some new ideas for updates or new games

In the very beginning it’s the most annoying game ever. While you’re trying to learn and do as they say during the tutorial it constantly pauses. Literally every 2 seconds for so long that I deleted the game. Honestly the most annoying game I ever played on my phone. I would think they want to attract people to play but in fact it repels people. They must’ve paid the app store to put editor’s choice so they get more downloads because that can’t be true when they had all the time in the world to update that annoying tutorial. Honestly the concept follows other game ideas but the originality went out the window when they decided to think their audience are kids and constantly stop the game to give tips that are clearly common sense. Let us go to tutorial if we want to don't force everyone through that terrible time. This is a game people we’re supposed to have fun so try not taking all the fun out and making it into a reading program. Guess what most your audience likes command and conquer games dating back to Red Alert so try not to insult their intelligence with over explaining this simple concept. I was so annoyed hoping the tutorial would end but after a bit I just gave up.

My favorite mobile game. I started playing this game and I found it slow and myself out matched. I still played it on the side. Once I unlocked some very powerful units. I started to dominate the competition and found it very satisfying. I found that my units were to similar and I changed it up to win more. I hit level 30 and thought it took much to long to level up but I started to learn how to use to units I already had and master them. I kept playing and after few months the game began to feel simple and easy. As I was getting close to quitting I unlocked new units and began to learn to play with them. These new units were different than the rest. They were much more specialized than the others creating a massive advantage if used properly but a huge weak point of not. As I neared the max level I figured out that to many expensive units are to difficult to make and get overrun if not supported. So I turned back to some of the first units I got and it really made a difference. I am still changing how I play. The game is constantly getting new units to use each with their own abilities and weaknesses. The game is to good to just read about you have to get it and try it for yourself. Give it time it will feel simple started out and like every time you fight you either dominate or get dominated. This changes and the battles will feel like a struggle.

Great Game, but Capitalism Controls Advancing. I have played the game for about a month now. It is well designed. Though challenge battles are annoying, it is the only way to advance to higher levels where units are far superior and you either invest time or money to upgrade your units. Basically if you have time to burn keep upgrading or if you don’t have time then buy the upgrades like any other game. Unfortunately because obtaining high level units takes forever, you naturally remove the ability for people with high skill to play those of equal skill. In essence, the game is structured like society with glass ceilings. Back in yester-year (i.e., Starcraft, Warcraft, C&C, etc.) everyone’s units start at zero and anyone could play anyone. If this game could be a reflection of a true meritocracy then it would shine, versus incessantly asking people to buy diamonds for upgrades. Bottom line, though the game is incredibly fun, its easy to see the makers are trying to find ways to annoy the s$&t out of people to pay to move higher.

Great but. I’ve enjoyed Command and Conquer for awhile since PC n all and I really do have a fun time with this game, however recently I’d gotten a new phone and didn’t link my info previously and ik that’s my fault so I don’t have a problem with it but I’m writing this to give you a heads up that if you do too well in the beginning since you might’ve acquired previous experience somewhere else then once you raise your skill that high in the game then all you’ll be paired with are people soooo much higher lvl than you; for example there’s some really frustrating units you unlock later in the game at much higher levels and they’ve become somewhat meta, now I haven’t even unlocked the 2nd or 3rd commander yet and I’m facing people that have units that only unlock at like level 44 and above, so now I’m plagued with facing really difficult units until I lose enough games to bring the skill based matchmaking down a bit, just a heads up peeps

EA SLAP YOURSELF!!. Total ruin of a long running solid game! DO NOT BOTHER TO DOWNLOAD. Editors choice employees must get unlimited money to spend on a game, or they got paid by EA most likely to say this is a good game... The matchmaking system is complete garbage and in your face obvious when you get to the 1300 plus rank. Challenge match! Challenge match! Then again and again and again against the exact same person who’s so overpowered to you that not a single unit of theirs gets hurt by you. Then you match up against them again for 5 times in a row... basically unless you spend money after getting to rank 1300, your not going to get anywhere. Plus the game has no waypoint mode. Literally a staple of this franchise and I can’t even put one single waypoint in?? Have y’all played C&C ever??? I’m old enough to have played the very first one on pc like 25 years ago.., and IT had a waypoint mode. Anyways doesn’t matter. Your money controlled matchmaker wouldn’t let me even enjoy a waypoint mode if there was one... My last hour playing was spent just surrendering every match so maybe another sucker you got playing this can enjoy a win, and I can think I’m messing w your messed up greedy EA matchmaking. So much bad from EA nowadays it’s pathetic. EA used to be a good company. Now your just plain garbage. Please don’t download this game and waste your time folks. This is NOT the C&C you should expect. It’s EA...

Such great potential. Such a letdown.. The redesign is fantastic. The leveling up of units is a nice touch to improve from the old pc versions. The problem here is , unlike the old versions, you must move forward each mission. Instead of being able to replay the early levels many times to become familiar with units and develop strategy, you are immediately thrown into higher level missions where you will encounter players who have been using this app longer and learned more about it than you. So the first 30 minutes I used my familiarity with the CNC game concepts to win matches. Then I didn’t win again for an hour. Each new game I met a competitor with troop leveled 3 or 4 tines above my own. So simply, I lose every troop encounter. The game is useless from that point unless I spend a ton of money to level my own troops. This, I’m afraid is the real and only reason for this game. The CNC franchise was something that gained loyal followers and spawned epic nights of fun in college. Now it’s a bunch of app designers looking to cash in. Sad and pathetic.

Best Game in a long time!. Let me just start off by saying I am a very honest person. And most games can’t keep my attention after 2-3 days. But this game right here is another story! I’m a big fan of the older command and conquer games. I played them growing up. I love the concept, it’s just great in my opinion. This game is very well put together! The graphics are great (I’m playing on iPhone XS Max) It’s super easy to level up, earn gold, & diamonds! You can join an alliance and get help (you get these cards which help you level up players, you can request them from other players) and you can play friendly battles! This game takes some strategy and some time but it’s really great. So not only are you leveling yourself up, but you levels up your players and each month they reset. Everyone starts fresh and there’s weekly events you can do that help you get more gold and stuff. This game really is great I recommend it to all my friends and now to you!

This Game is Impossible. Since there is no campaign mode, you have no choice but to become matched up with “High Level Units” game after game. This basically means you fight opponents that far outrank you, and the opportunities to rank up your own units is very difficult. For example, I was just matched up with opponents with “High Level Units” maybe ten times back to back and not once did I have a chance at winning. Oddly enough, despite losses, you keep moving along the map and it keeps you in the difficult match ups. This basically makes the game seem almost pointless if your units have no chance to improve through each map and you’re very easily outranked. Ordinarily, if you lose a match, you get bumped down to lower tiered matches for even match ups, but that is NEVER the case here. I used to play Command and Conquer when I was much younger (probably started 20 years ago?)…and it was much more enjoyable back then. This game is not that.

Fun, for awhile.. I’ve been playing C&C games since they first came out nearly thirty years ago. I especially used to love the gameplay against computer players. I was skeptical when I saw the gameplay in rivals is PvP. The game was fun for awhile, but it becomes evident early on that pay for play is necessary. I generally don’t mind spending a little money in support of the developers, but the purchases are set up in tiers; in other words, purchase prices double as you gain more levels. The first tier is $4.99, the second is closer to $10, and presumably the next tier is $20. I refuse to keep paying to play a game advertised as free. While it IS technically free, unless you spend money you’ll be fodder for those who do. You’ll be allowed to win a game or two out of every ten or fifteen you play, but it becomes VERY obvious you’ll be padding the win record of paying players. As much as I love the game, losing to players with less experience and more money will inevitably get this game deleted.

Good game play but. With a big selection of units and needing two resources to level up a unit you will be spending money or grinding a long time. How long you grind depends on the level of unit. Early on you get a good amount of resources to level up the fewer starting units but then as your account levels up you unlock more units leading to needing more cards and credits and your reward crates have a chance to drop cards for of every unit you’ve unlocked. You will also face players with units much higher then you. If they are over an average of 1.5 levels above your units it will be a challenge match. Meaning you won’t lose league points but can be very difficult to win. Even units 1 level above yours equals a disadvantage. You can and will beat a lot of these players but you will lose lots. You will also end up with cards for units you didn’t want to use and cannot do anything other then donate very few of them a day to alliance members. They limit how many cards and total donations a day and your frequency of requesting donations is too limited to make a true difference. You use your free daily cloning chamber and daily donation request on the same unit and repeat this every day for three months or longer to get the cards you need to level up one unit one time. And that’s with level 12 units. Wait for the grind to get 13s 14s and maxed 15s.

Great game, please balance a little more.. I’ve always loved command and conquer games, and the EA team has done a great job implementing the same aspects I loved into a mobile game. Amazing graphics, intense battles, and unique units and customization make for a definitely worthwhile download. My only problem is these being free to play they motivate to buy by giving you that head start for investing. I’ve spent probably over $50 on the game and still got stomped in rivals championship, only won about half the games because I was either way out-leveled or they have an avatar and I’m nowhere close to unlocking that. So another nerf to avatar and fanaticism/ heroic charge, and please make the level maximum level 9 with full training for the tournament. I only have one common card level 10 and fighting all 11s fully trained is brutal. I feel like a lower level tier would ensure that championship results are based only on skill not who has spent more on the game.

Fun but yes pay to win! End of story. Now I’m not saying I don’t love the game because I do I just spent my first 20 $ over the last week and am now lvl 10 and in both leagues silver and one gold and can barely compete basically 2 or 3 losses per win. Ima tell you straight out a few tips first play and enjoy the game cuz it’s mostly bots or guys who really don’t give a dam at first who you’ll be playing with this is the best times you’ll .... after you unlock nod at lvl join an alliance this is key and join a big one because you donate cards and they do to so this helps you get the cards without paying and this is when the game becomes major pay 2 play like how I’m having trouble now even 20$ in..so yes you will pay because wen it’s 3,000 credits and 150 cards to level up a rifleman squad by god you will pay or play till next year for them lol now is it fun? Yes does it have robots and cool space vehicles? Yes do you build the base? Not really but yea I guess so...so join an alliance be prepared to spend a little money like I said I spent 20$ and am having a little trouble still which is why I dropped my rating to three star...and pls add campaign like South Park phone destroyer to unlock cards! And increase currency and xp gain per win or just do somerhing where we can get stuff for free I don’t mind paying but 20$ in a still getting rolled on come on EA!thx for reading my long review just wanted it to be honest - Cadillak(in the game)

A good game ruined by bad monetization. If you stripped out all of the pay2win elements, and completely divorced this game from f2p monetization, it would actually be a pretty good game. There’s strategy to it, and enough customization that you can easily play it for an hour or two a day without it getting too monotonous. However, unit advancement is gated behind a harsh gacha system, requiring you to find an exponentially increasing number of cards to upgrade units, along with coins, which are very difficult to grind out. You can also only get a minuscule amount of gems, the game’s RM currency, for free during play. Ultimately this all is intended to drive players to spend money, whether for loot boxes or gems, just to keep up. Furthermore, while the game hosts frequent events, the “standard” (aka free) rewards are pathetically bad, with the good rewards locked behind “premium” gates that you have to spend the game’s gem currency to acquire. Top that with the fact that tech lab units are so hands-down better than the others, a lot of what makes this game good early on vanishes after only a few days of playing. EA: just make an ACTUAL command and conquer game. I promise you, as long as you put any care and consideration into its development, people will buy it!

Very fun!. I slaughtered the competition at first. Now I regularly get pitted against players 10 levels above me that have access to far better units. I don’t mind losing when evenly matched, but all my units have a range of 1. I get slaughtered by powerful units with a range of 2 over and over again. Also, you get good experience from the first 10 matches each day. Winning gives you a 5% bonus. So winning doesn’t really matter much as far as gaining player levels. But winning does matter to gain PvP score. It seems I am now stuck. I am forced to level up my player level and it seems I will never get back to being pitted against players my own level. Or perhaps I am wrong. I lose slightly more than I win now so although my player level increases, my PvP score stays the same. So maybe I just have to slog through 10 more player levels with a 50/50 win loss record to finally get matched against players my own level? If matchmaking is explained in the app I have missed it. Having said that, the game is great fun at first. More strategies open up as you gain levels and get access to more powerful units. It’s definately pay to win, but not to an extreme. Edit: Boy, was I wrong. The League resets each month. There is also a little “i” button to click to get more info about the league. I also got some units with a range of 2, which helps level the playing field. All is well!

Pay to win. I have played this game for over a year now, and I’ve found myself too good to continue playing the game without paying to upgrade my cards. Levels are a useless mechanic that do nothing for the skill gap, and reward pay to win . 8/15 games I encountered are challenge matches where positioning, deck comp, or micro means nothing because your opponent is three levels ahead in every unit and can walk up to your units and obliterate you without any repercussions. Once you reach the higher levels, you either have to spend money or waste time getting blown off the map in order to progress, which comes much slower when you automatically lose every other game. I’m not surprised, since it’s EA. Just disappointed that an enjoyable game is being ruined by a metric that does nothing for the game outside of create a pay to win structure.

Fun multiplayer game!. This is one of those classic examples of “if they would just drop the franchise name it would make a lot more sense”. For fans of Command & Conquer on PC, this is NOTHING like those games. However, it is still pretty good and very fun! It’s a 1v1 hexagonal PVP game where you deploy units to fight each other, and launch a bomb that destroys the enemy base in two hits. The gameplay and premise is simple, yet at higher competitive ranks, a good deal of strategy and tactics are required to outsmart the enemy and destroy them. I’ve been searching for a multiplayer game on mobile that is great to just pick up and play and this game is almost perfect for that. It’s easy to learn, hard to master. Matches don’t last longer than 5 minutes, so you can play a quick match while on the toilet or sitting in a boring lecture at school. I recommend it if you like PVP strategy games!

It sure what it is.... The game is awesome, awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, and awesome rewards. The first game I played where I really feel rewarded just for playing, let alone winning matches. HOWEVER, I do have one complaint and the reason I went with 4 out of 5 stars: I don’t think the matches are played in “real-time”. I think I’m always playing against A.I. using a random player’s profile (deck). Also, I hated that at the last minute it seemed someone within only a few hours left in a race, beat me by about 300 medals (after having to climb over 600 medals from second place; W.T.F.)...I’m still scratching my head on that one. Either this player played this game non-stop and bought all kinds of in-app purchases to boost his stats, or the developers of the game decided I shouldn’t deserve to get the first place prize. But, in the end it’s a solid game and I’m enjoying the hell out of it at the moment.

This is just sad…. As a life long command and conquer fan it’s so depressing to see a once great game franchise and one of the first ones to launch the entire real time strategy genre reduced to this…an empty shell of its former glory. It seems that EA games is content to let this once great franchise be nothing more than a cash grab full of micro transactions and only the barest of gameplay that only vaguely resembles anything one could call “strategy”. The thing that really upsets me and other long time c&c fans is the fact that EA is putting all its time and effort in regards to developing c&c games into this exclusively rather than developing a new actual game for the PC. But I guess it costs more to create something of value rather than something that requires minimal effort to create and maintain with maximum return thanks to the micro transactions that even the red headed step child of the series c&c 4 didn’t have. Now is it better than the mobile game that preceded it? Yes. Yes it is by quite a bit actually. But me and other long time fans are worried that we may never see another main line triple a entry in the c&c or red alert franchises. I was hoping with the release of c&c remastered there would be some renewed interest in the series but at this point it seems that whatever renewed interest it created is not shared by EA itself…though I’d love to be proven wrong but I guess only time will tell…

Not Command and Conquer™ Generals II, but also not bad.. So this game is Command and Conquer, also this game isn’t really Command and Conquer. It is a really fun mobile game that gets major kudos for not requiring “energy” or anything else to play. You can play as much as you want for free. I love that. This game has an awesome Command and Conquer skin, but to me doesn’t totally feel like a Command and Conquer. You have no control of your base, it’s just the object you protect, and I understand why. It’s a mobile game. The ability to build new buildings with more powerful units is in there but you don’t have the ability to bring your command center with you or control its location; that function and many others are completely missing from this game, but with all that said it’s a good mobile strategy game and you can play free. You also can pay and get more upgrade cards for your individual units and the large amounts of in game gold you spend to complete the upgrades along with the upgrade cards. It is a fun game I play pretty regularly and I enjoy it, Just remember that it is kinda Command and Conquer™ and kinda not.

Please read before playing. This game has many great aspects in regards to game play and graphics. The parts of the game which are the worst, and almost unplayable, are the matchups and the fact that you almost have to spend money to stay competitive like a month or two into playing. Additionally, when you loose a game it says “mission failed” or “your base has been destroyed” which is infuriating when game after game it matches you with players using maxed cards you haven’t even unlocked yet. Even the cards you do have unlocked are so much higher lvl it’s pointless to even play. I’m not talking some games but game after game of much higher lvls. When you finally get an actual playable match it’s against a much lower lvl player that I’m sure feels the same way and I usually just resign the game...and the cycle continues. Why can’t they match you with players with similar experience and card lvls most games?? There is no leader board to see where players rank and no place other than ladder to practice using new cards unlocked . So basically you have to lvl all cards up to even play with them to see if they even help your decks so if you don’t have patience to build up card levels over a year or two or have $$ to throw away this is prob not the game for you. Just sayin

An enjoyable walk down memory lane. I had my reservations when I saw the promotion for the game because I grew up with C&C. It was the first PC game I played as a kid and I’ve played all the games up to Tiberium Wars 4. The game is a little less involved than the PC version (obviously because it is on mobile), but that doesn’t take away from the addictive game play. Matches are short and fairly balanced. There is a level of strategy involved (the most expensive units are not always the best to field). Leveling up units is straight forward and it doesn’t make you feel like EA is out for a money grab pay-to-win “strategy” game like so many so-called “strategy” game apps. If I were to give it a critique, it would be the build times. Every unit across your build list loads at one time so you can field a soldier in the same time it takes to build a Wolverine mech. It would be nice to see some of the PC build times included where barracks build unit faster and cheaper but are weaker to the more expensive longer build time units. All-in-all, it does make me want to bust out some of the older PC games and give them another spin.

Nothing like classic C&C, but that’s a good thing here.. They’ve done a great job converting C&C into a fast paced mobile game. There is no base building, just combat, as you and your opponent fight for control of 2 or 3 launch pads. A meter fills up when one player has the majority of launch pads, and when it’s full a missile launches on his opponent’s base. 2 missiles wins the game. Games take 2 to 5 minutes on average, which is perfect for gaming on the go. There does seem to be an issue where players who advance too quickly will suddenly find themselves consistently outmatched by about 2 unit levels. This is prettymuch like a brick wall that stops a player from getting any further up the ladder, for a while. I have 2 accounts. On my main account I advanced very slowly and have spent about $65 in micro transactions, and I get fair battles, but on my 2nd account I went on a 42 game win streak, then 35, then 51, and I’ve spent nothing, and now every match I get is a challenge battle, and that’s no exaggeration (the past 50 consecutive battles have been challenge battles). It’s pretty discouraging because I had set out to prove that free players had an equal chance in this arena, but it seem that may only be true up to a point.

Great game; could be better. This is one of my favorite mobile games at the moment. The strategy is fun and the characters are great. Yes, the game has a pay to win aspect to it, but it’s not as bad as most of the mobile games today. The general feel of the game is amazing, and I’m having a blast playing it. However there are a few things that I think would make it better. An amazing feature would be some sort of guild war. You could have a giant map and with six players. Three vs three. In addition, character skins would add a fun artistic bonus to the game. Also, adding a “make your own map” feature would give players the freedom to choose how there map looks and feels to play. In conclusion, this game is already so fun to play, but in my opinion, adding these features would make the game feel so much more enjoyable.

This game is simple in the good way. So this is a decently fun small scale strategy game. There is only one game mode, capture points and launch a nuke at the other guy two times. So sadly your strategy is heavily based off your battle doctrine, fights are always front line battles with minimal but effective means of flanking depending on how distracted your enemy is. This game is a game of whit, it’s a little like chess. You can see everything going on when your forces are covering the board but you need to pay attention to who’s fighting who and who counters who. Some people try and be cheeky by attacking harvesters right away, and this works against new players who panic, but it surrenders any advantage you might have in securing controls points, and harvesters take a long time to kill, not to mention you get one free harvester out of two. So it’s more of a gamble then anything. This game is fun and there is strategy involved, but it’s a fast paced game so don’t expect the total war approach. Think of it more like Desert storm style of warfare

Fix this game it should not be like this. I love this game but now it’s getting a little bit out of hand either someone send something towards my base that I can’t kill because it’s a way to tank he or someone just keeps taking out my collectors it and I can’t even kill that thing because half the time there is no counters for it that early on and it’s just getting out of hand I win once and then lose about three other times and then one again and then just the cycle goes on and I lose all the medals I just earned and another thing that I think you should fix is certain units that like if you have an aerial unit and you have something that can kill it it just runs away and you can’t kill it because he keeps it’s faster than you I think that some anti-air units have a long anti air range so they can’t keep running away 1 tile then coming back I think that say like the wolverine or the nod spider should have a two hexagon range which would counter most things like they’re supposed to so then you can’t really get screwed by air units ALSO flame tank still needs nerf

Excellent RTS on Mobile. I am a long time RTS fan on PC and when I saw that C&C was getting a mobile game I, like many, scoffed at the idea. After play a few hundred games I am excited to say I was very wrong. It delivers a compressed version of traditional RTS 1v1s that take no longer than 5 minutes. I get in a few games a day and it really scratches that RTS itch that my schedule doesn’t allow me fulfill with longer format PC games. I also must add, I truly do not believe the game is pay to win outside of maybe Tiberium league. The reviews that claim it is are by people who are uncomfortable with the idea of losing as a necessity for skill growth. If you are familiar with real time strategy games and understand the concepts of economy, harassment, builds, and learn unit counters you will not need to spend a dime on the game. I have put no money into it and with practice I have no problem reaching diamond league with both factions.

Fun, challenging, balanced, and a little laggy. This is a great mobile game. To clarify: you CAN pay to level-up units. This is literally pay-to-win. However you will always be matched with people with similar unit levels, so those people you won’t see much. If they throw you up against someone that paid bank and is out-leveling you, they make it a “challenge battle” so it doesn’t count as a loss. And tbh I’ve won like 75% of those too. I haven’t spent a penny and have a 90% win rate. The game is really good at not being too in-your-face about micro transactions (which is weird for EA). The only pop-up is on the launch screen. I’ve just experienced a lot of lag and sometimes disconnections. Not just me, sometimes my opponent. I play on 5GHz WiFi, and even with a gigabit connection at work it still isn’t consistent. Usually not a dealbreaker but sometimes you miss something that could save you a missile launch.

P2W CASH SHOP SPAM. First of all: the game is fun.. I’ve always been the type to steer from games that require me to micromanage and this game is a perfect trainer for this. If you can’t micromanage your units, you lose. NOW for the crappy part of this game. It’s pay-2-win end of story. F2P will only get you so far before you’re getting smashed by higher level units/commanders. And even when you do spend money, it’s not enough. They are too many units that require too much gold to upgrade that become obsolete way too fast and when you level up the pool possible rewards from crates becomes even larger making your f2p progress even slower. Another thing with the P2W.. this is arguably one the most expensive and aggressive cash sho games I’ve played. Every thing is over $15 and every time a new unit or “special offer” comes up, it’s spams your menu and makes you want to delete the game. Like if you hit a button to go away from the main screen to and go back to main, a prompt to buy something pops and it does this an infinite amount of times.

Changes. I can’t give any higher than 3 stars. I love this game, I’m good enough to be in high masters with level 8s. But skill only goes so far in this game. Pay to win is the games main thing. Unless someone is complete garbage with higher levels than you you’ll always lose to the people who have spent more money than you. Which I hate in a game. Cosmetics, unit effects, emotes, so on so on. Should be the money maker. But no, EA just couldn’t help but put in a mechanic. Where every level makes a unit more effective, and levels can be bought with real money spent on in game resources. So people who are less skillful then me constantly win against me because they win every 1v1 because their unit is leveled up more than mine. As someone who has played this game for 9 months, I love it to death. But with the razor back and shade becoming super stupidly overpowered, people just buy resources and level them up and never lose against free to play players.

This is the best mobile strategy game that no need to wait for upgrade. Just drop and boom. When I started playing this, I felt my self that I am playing the C&C PC games. The hexagon layout is just for placing the position which two component can’t use the same place. It’s just exactly like PC C&C games. You collect resource to construct building or train your squad using harvester. You can drop anywhere you like but make sure you drop and take the right place first. This is THE MAIN STRATEGY, people. You can destroy enemy harvester to stop enemy from collecting resources. EA give you free enough items to play this game as a pro. You only need to buy coins and diamond for upgrading your troops faster and it doesn’t require for you to wait and this is what we have been waiting for. Battle matching system is pretty much fair. You just need to play smartly. Thanks EA Team for bringing our old memories back. Suggestion: if we can attack enemy base directly, that will be great instead of owning nuke.

This game is AWEFUL. This game has so many issues like too much lag, the unfairness of the level of the people you play against, and the loot you have compared to other people. For example, you are level 55 and you open a purple create, it will give you the same amount of loot as level 10. As you rank up you need more cards and coins to level up your character but it only gives you a small amount of cards no matter the level. Another example is when you play with people you will most likely get people who are 3 levels above you when you reach diamond league. Like back then I had units and a commander who was level 7 and they gave me level 11 players, but, when I play 3 more games I got level 8 or 9 players. This game is so popular so I know that they’re have to be people my level. Too add, the fame developers do not care what their fans or players ask them to fix, because they would have nerfed some of tech units like the disputer, the mammoth tank, avatar, flame tank would all be nerfed already. Many you tubers and players asked things to be vaulted but EA just ignores it. Because its all about the money right?

I don’t know who got paid to rate this game 5 stars. Anybody saying that this game isn’t pay-to-win is lying to you. The strategic element of this game is vastly overshadowed by the fact that if your troops are slightly over leveled you can absolutely crush your opponent without even trying. Also, anyone saying that they were a “big fan” of the original command and conquer and say that “this is a fun and new take on one of my favorite games as a child” has to be a bot or a review made by the EA devs themselves because it makes no sense. This game is just a command and conquer skin loosely draped over a standard battle arena game. It’s obvious that EA just slapped the command and conquer name to this irrelevant game because they had no plans whatsoever to make an actual sequel, and it’s a somewhat recognizable title that will draw in a few more downloads. This game is just another transparent cash-grab that lulls you in with fast progression in the beginning to hook you in and grinds to a crawl so you feel like you need to pay money to progress faster because you keep playing players that are a little too high of a level and your win rate plummets. Don’t waste your time on a soulless cash grab. Play literally anything else.

Disclaimer: pay to win, but I did not pay. I have tried so many games with in app purchases and this is by far the best game for free to play experience. Of course, you should expect that those who pay will get an edge on some aspects as for all pay to win games. In this game, it about levels. However, the game itself is designed well enough that techniques and strategies plays a significant role unlike other games where whoever pays will completely destroy whose who don’t every time. With the right techniques, you will be able to beat those with 1-2 levels above you, and you can learn about those techniques from the game wiki and Reddit. I have been playing this game about 6 months now, and I almost got to the tibirum league with only level 10 decks. Just remember that the cost for upgrade cards grows EXPONENTIALLY up to level 11 and then slows down. So don’t expect to level up fast if you don’t pay.

Unbalanced and hackers. This game has so many bad parts that out weigh the good ones. Hackers are already taken control in this pay to win game but the worst part is the movement of units. If a unit spawns from my base and I click a spot on the missile silo and that spot gets taken it stops. Then You select another spot but now it moves another unit and not that one so your units look like an ant hill on fire. The tug of war on the missile is not fair since you can control the missile up to almost launching but then the enemy moves a fee units on to the pad and they now have it and “launch”. It should be full control for a time period not this rob you blind method. So now hackers that have basic infantry units crush tanks and turrets like no other or they spawn expensive units with no harvester. Its a really small display so you can barely see units stacked on each other and it runs smooth but drains your battery big time. Until somethings are fixed like NoD is so OP to GDI its lame and control of the missile silo more time on then jack move ( King of the Hill or Control) I will then comeback .

Such a let down. So much potential in this game it shows the dev’s cared about it. To bad it is destroyed by micro transactions and loot boxes. Capping the free coins you get in battle. The fact that you come up against guys way lower level who destroy you because they bought an elite unit. You can’t even play nod without owning one of the broken elites. It is ridiculous and has EA’s typical money grabbing all over it. Cool to check out but doesn’t make you want to stay.

If you wanna spend big $$$... Download this game. I have played C&C back in the desktop days and man, this version is the worst. The bottom line is, if you can pay big, you will win big. I would much rather EA charge me at download and keep the progress fair. Don’t get me wrong, I did spend on purchasing upgrades but it seem my “Rivals” have deeper pockets. So if you have a good amount of spare $$$ and just wanna win something, this game is for you!

Battles. Battles are unmatched some are more powerful, giving you an unfair advantage against other players, Needs more machine upgrades or more equipment choices to make the game more even across the board. Otherwise a great game

Want to play. Dear developer, I have tried to play this game, but every time I get a message that says “failed to connect to ea servers”. I’ve removed and re-installed, but it still doesn’t work. Please fix this issue so I may play the game Sincerely, Gamer

Pay to win?. Too bias to the people who pay big bucks to play....! If you don’t spend money on this game you will struggle to advance against the players that do. Other than that the game is great and the game play is addictive and fun. If my win rate doesn’t improve I will get frustrated with this game and delete it....I’m only hanging on ATM to see if things improve. P.S. Big fan of the original C&C franchise 😁

This is “acceptable” at best. Look EA, I’m going to be perfectly honest with you, this is MUCH better then what ever that excuse of a game C&C 4 was trying to be, although neither of them are true RTS games, I legit don’t mind rivals, but me and the entire C&C fan base know as an instinct that this isn’t the future for our beloved franchise, hell, Tiberian Twilight has no base building, now that upset me a lot EA, it’s called Command and Conquer for a reason, if you want to make a game that fans will adore and cherish, then I suggest you take a look at the older games in the series like Kanes Wrath, Red alert 2, GENERALS, what happened to Generals 2? Yet again another major disappointment, here’s how to make a good C&C game: Online AND offline multiplayer/skirmish, somewhat decent campaign, actual base building and NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS! you do these things for us fans EA, then mate, you will earn A LOT of respect from that, I very much love your older games from the early 2000’s and really looked up to you guys as an aspiring game designer myself, then C&C 4 happened and I wasn’t so sure anymore, I’m sorry ive gone on with this for a while but it’s the truth, the sad truth, anyways other than all that, I was somewhat satisfied with this game, but PLEASE EA, don’t try something like this again, go back to glory days of base building like the badasses I once knew you guys to be! -Sincerely, a die hard C&C fan

Great game. Don’t listen to the haters.. I have been playing this game daily now for 6 months and still love it. This is definitely the best intense micro strategy mobile game at the moment. I am a f2p player and have managed to get into the top league for the last 4 seasons, you don’t need cash to win. And yes there will always be players who have paid for higher levels than you who will beat you occasionally but it doesn’t ruin the game. Usually they are inferior players who can only win by paying. The developers have been recently releasing new content and game modes which keeps it interesting. They are also consistently balancing and tweaking units. More people should be playing this game!

Great gameplay however limit on credits is an issue. Firstly, the gameplay is excellent and thoroughly enjoy playing the game as a free player. Graphics are adequate and the strategy aspect is of what you would expect of a mobile RTS game. The ability to play short burst games that last 2-5 minutes is a welcome surprise. Currently only on the Silver league and you can win without paying any money, although I am sure this will change as the game progresses. My issue is that you are stunting the free players ability to progress by putting a daily limit on the amount of credits you receive. How are free players supposed to remotely compete with p2w players? You have an in game currency of diamonds (which is purchased with $$) which can be used to buy more credits - the p2w players can do that. By the above strategy you are only allowing me to play 10-12 games (an hour gameplay) per day as there is ZERO advantage of me to play beyond that. Why would I increase my medals and play tougher competition without being able to upgrade my units?

Deja Vu. Happyking’s review is virtually to point. I totally agree with the fact that the marketing model is not sustainable and that ultimately the the plethora of non and smaller PTP gamers will become fodder for the even smaller amount of higher paying investors. In short as a money making exercise as this methodology will not and never does hold up as a long term boon for the developer. Developer as ‘highking’ says ‘single point purchases with a view to expand the game franchise titles and provision for adding new titles and expansions’ is the only model that will ultimately work in the long term. Developer get rid of you marketing agent and embrace the masses. Can’t believe developers have not woken up to this model already.

Typical freemium game. Thanks EA!. The progression in this game is slow and frustrating with a cap on how many coins you can earn per day. These sorts of games you could probably finish within a month but because you can’t progress with skill you probably have to wait years. Fun for the first day but once you realise you have to wait days to unlock new cards to beat others, otherwise your stuck getting destroyed by tactics your current amount of cards can’t handle. If you want to play a game like this your better off playing Starcraft 2, Age of empires, A REAL Command and conquer game, Warcraft, any Real Time Strategy, not this TIME STRATEGY....

A disgrace. So you've taken a beloved franchise and you've injected it with your micro-transaction festering sewage, why isn't this a surprise EA? I feel so ENGAGED in your games thanks to your PROGRESSION and PLAYER SATISFACTION. You're really leading the charge in terms of GAMEPLAY and MEANINGFUL GAMING EXPERIENCES. And thanks to all the RECURSIVE REVENUE, I really enjoy this game. I really enjoy having to pay exuberant amounts of cash for simple gameplay mechanics and unlocks. I'm so glad I am able to spend more than $10 on a complete gaming experience, I don't know what I would do these days if I couldn't spend AT LEAST $250 on a single gaming experience. Thank you EA, for everything. My family have left me because I value my SATISFYING GAMING EXPERIENCE more than their food, but that's okay because your games have 10/10 story, world building and immersion.

Surprisingly enjoyable. The latest update made the game a lot better, I was ready to give up because matchmaking was hitting me up with people who had significantly better cards then I did and huge advantages, now the ranking systems throws crates at you regularly to counter any gap so pay to win isn’t as obvious. Would love to see a straight up “kill the base” mode brought into the game

Ok but imbalanced. I enjoyed the first couple hours of the game as games were fair, the opponents were of similar levels of troops and upgrades and who win came down to superior strategy or tactics. However, now I’ve progressed into another tier I can barely win a game. My opponents are all much higher levels eg. My troops are level 4 they are 8, 9. And they have access to troops I’ve not seen and my limited roster cannot counter. I had a 25 game win streak at one point in the early game. But as of the time I wrote this I played 30 consecutive games, won 2. This issue needs to be addressed as it has completely taken the fun out and I’m considering deleting it which is a shame because it can be an enjoyable game.

Great game... but. Great game with old school armies. Just wish the mobile version had more freedom as the original C&C red alert style. The but is unless you spend a lot of money u. Any progress as u can’t. Eat the big money spenders. And if you want an edge u Gita sos d big bucks. And that’s not worth it then as the upgrades are way to expensive to buy .Still great game for very short battle. Please make a game like the old style it rocked !

Good but annoying. I win my fair share of challenge battles and battles against stronger opponents. I managed to get to diamond league and only ever spent $20 or so back in gold to help me along - but as soon as I spent money I obliterated the competition for a while. It’s now backed me Into platinum from Diamond but i feel it’s impossible to get anywhere, I’m stuck again. My units are locked in at 7 and I can’t upgrade them any further - I’m getting put against level 8-9 opponents. Some even have level 10 bases. All the strategy in the world can’t beat opponents with the same units that are too strong verse yours. Take shock troopers for example, it takes 2.5 squads for me to take out one of they’re squads that’s $100 of Tiberium spent for my offence/defense verse $40 for theirs. Instantly they gain the upper hand for having stronger units. It’s hardly a strategy game any longer even though as mentioned I *can* often win a challenge match/ match against a stronger opponent if I’m lucky with my build order. This aspect makes the game annoying! How long do I have to be stuck in platinum again versing opponents with characters 1-2 levels higher than mine!

Expensive!!. Firstly, I have to give 5 star for gameplay and overall structure of the game. It is challenging and I love the fact that you can play for a short burst and go again at your convenience. For a mobile platform, doesn’t get any better than this. I also love the fact that it is initially free to get you try the game without coughing up $$. However, it will get to a point where game advancement becomes stagnant without having to pay exuberant amount. I get the strategy of consumer being hooked on the game, then at certain point reel them in to start paying. Sorry but this is where this game ends for me. My suggestion; release a free version, then give consumers to buy a full version (at an affordable cost). Earn your 5 stars on both versions. This will also create a level playing field for gamers if algorithms are set correctly. This will then open up future options to re release other versions under the reputation of your current version with high ratings. Think $$ longevity on sequels. Thanks for fun over a few months though.

Play this for years.. Hey, really, don’t mind this game on my smart phone and sometimes I do play this on the tablet as well. And I’ve been playing it for years. Highly commended this gameFor being there between things where you can’t spend half an hour or an hour on a battle.

Temporary gratification. A few years ago when I was getting into iPad gaming I bought a few EA titles, e.g. Dead Space, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Fight Night Champion, etc. Most likely many readers haven’t heard of those titles. Part of the reason is because EA did not bother to update the apps so that they remained compatible with the latest versions of iOS. As a result, all of those games became unplayable after (at most) four years from purchase. This is despite the fact that updating the apps is not a terribly difficult exercise. Much smaller and less monied developers (e.g. Foursaken) were able to keep their games compatible with iOS without any difficulty. Even for least customer-focused developers (e.g. Gameloft) the norm was to keep games compatible with new versions of IOS - there were a few exceptions but that was the general rule. In bleak contrast, all of EA’s titles became unplayable - none were updated. Given this history, one can safely say that however beautiful the graphics, or enthralling the gameplay, this game (even more than most others) is very much a disposable, temporary experience. You may get to enjoy it for a short time but its very unlikely that there will be any meaningful technical support if and when this is needed. As for me, I promised myself that I would not buy another EA title when I saw what they did to Dead Space etc - this is not a corporate philosophy that I want to support.

Repetitive game structure. I loved C&C growing up and wanted to go back to a game I played on a PC, hopefully an improvement on the game from years ago. Sadly I find the format very repetitive of gaining control of the nuclear squares to launch a nuclear missile on you enemy. I find I am constantly matched with an enemy who has far greater weapons and although I don’t loose a ranking, it becomes disheartening when you loose 5 games in a row. Graphics are good and the game doesn’t crash.

Don’t bother. If this game wasn’t pay to win and actually had a set price that unlocked everything it would be a brilliant game. Best strategy I’ve played on a mobile device. With the major flaw of being pay to win, you get to a point in the game were majority who have payed to level there units keep decimating you and it becomes a grind trying to level your units to keep moving forward without having to pay any money. In the end the pay to win style gameplay makes it a waste of time.

Good until the upper tiers. A great game until you get into the upper tiers where paying players are, then the game just matches you against those who have paid and are physically unable to beat (forcing you to pay if you want to play on).

C&C Review. Decent game. Hits the notes of the lore well. Great balancing, but... Would like to see it match players more accurately based on a unit level rating in your unit load out. Being overwhelmed because I haven’t spent real money maxing out my units is not a good design mechanic. More accuracy in matching will fix this. Additionally, I would love for the game to expand further added new factions exiting within the lore; Particularly the tyberium alien faction and including that of Red alert, (Russia, America, uri) Also, rename “diamonds” to “Rich/Blue Tyberium” ‘cause that fits in the lore better then diamonds 😑

So much promise tainted with pay to win.. Super addictive, super unbalanced... pay to win crack sell here. Tred with caution and a pinch of salt. Wish they just designed a core system game of “just this.” Could sell the core for 40 usd and add on expansions for twenty a pop... but no. Gotta go for gold with the pay to win dont you EA? Tsk tsk. Just make a good game and sell it to me for a fair price... The awesomeness of the potential here is unreal. Ruined by greed.

Getting lagged over updates. I have been playing this game for a while and made myself up to tiberium league at the previous season before the reset. I have to say the game is getting annoying on my iPhone 8. My phone will get so hot after just one game and it is actually lagging. My suggestion will be to do better optimisation or just let us to have a “lower” version for less graphic effects.

Great game. Really enjoying the game & love that its real time. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is the hackers, you really need to change the coding so that they can be detected better. Overall the game is true command & conquer, & even if you lose the match you still get benefits, the hackers can be annoying, but when you win a game against them it is very satisfying. Would be interested in seeing the 3rd faction from C&C3

Poor gameplay mechanics. You’re forced into a ranked pvp system which just pits you against people in the same general rank as you but have higher level units than you which inevitably leads to you losing and then the following game will just put you against someone with lower level units than you to even out win lose ratios.

Command the lag and conquered loot boxes. The games basic concept is fun, 3 minutes of thrill, instant glorifying. But it is an unfair pay to win game once player get to level 10 for each of their units. However the fun factor really determined by the lag, you don’t battle rivals, you battle the poor connection more often than not. Time and again, the slow down occurs when you really need to micromanage units or get that unit to where it should be, yet that half a second determines win or loose. It makes games very easy as other side drops out or you loose by a bit of lag in the last few seconds that you knew you should have got it if there weren’t any lag. I have no idea if US players has little lag but Asian pacific players like me, the lag is very often unless playing against fellow player at the same country. Next is the pay to progress part. It really gone down to snail pace for upgrade once player get to level 10 where each upgrade needs 8000 plus credits and hundreds and thousands of cards of all colours. Player basically confined and pushed to pay to progress by buying credits and loot box for the RNG cards. The social trading system don’t let players exchange rare cards which makes over 1/3 of the units locked behind pay to progress wall even further. If the game gets regional servers and constant income and card stream for a subscription base model, then I would happily pay to play on, for now, I hope the wales will keep it going...

1v1 RTS but very limited. The gameplay does have some strategy but because units are so limited with only having 3-4 plus harvesters, the gameplay can be very tedious. Constantly moving units around so they are aren't dying to their counterattack. Then suddenly in a second losing the game with a missile launch switch after dominating. Sometimes it's skill, sometimes it's chance, no fun in losing a game by chance. The game would be better without the missiles IMO, deleted.

Lvl 8 is as far as I’ll go.. Absolutely great C&C game, battles are great sometimes intense maybe frustrating at times when you get whooped by the same person 3 times in a row. Well made game. On the other hand the game is 100% designed to be addictive and to tempt the player to spend real money later on in game around lvl 8. I absolutely get that with most app games, but what it’s actually means is that you have to pay to progress further! eg once you reach lvl 8 you need 400 cards and 4,000 gold to upgrade that one unit. Sure You can buy the cards/gold and I’m happy to spend some money but you must ask yourself, is the game really worth that amount!!! buy the end you would have bought over 3 deluxe Bfv on preorder. I would much rather buy the game outright keeping a controlled cost. saying that I would think it might be a good idea if EA Games have a play for free version but pay as you go or you can buy the game out right. For me, this is as far as I’ll go with Rivals. Due to the game addictive nature of this title which can cost you big dollars. once’s again great game thoroughly enjoyed. I rate this game a 3 nothing to do with game play but the costs to play.

Balanced for you to lose and be stressed. The new update is unstable and crashes mid game, the new balance system is even more crappy than earlier, the match should take into account the total unit level, a single level difference between shockwave troopers is the difference between a win and a loss. This game is fun to begin with, it is different from the C&C franchise (if you have played them in the past on desktops). There is no way to provide feedback in the app. The developers keep tweaking the rules of the game to benefit paying players. You are pitted against players and units that are simply not winnable causing you stress and grief. If you are serious about a game and playing, AVOID this game (in capitals). If it was your strategy alone and not the greedy mechanism and illogical tweaks, this game would have been fun for a very long time and you might even spend money on it. Right now as it stands, they have just spoilt it.

Constructive Criticism. Online gaming is good but would be better with larger maps. Also the option to play single player offline would be great. With these options I would give 5 stars as the detail in the game is quite good!

Depression. When you play the game over and over and finally get your units up to something decent to play with, just to get pushed up a league and watch your bikes get destroyed by buggy spam. Build a stealth tank and a full volley doesn’t take out a buggy. Or play with 2 wheels on a laser squad and doesn’t even take the squad down to half health. Just got into masters league and it feels like I’m playing basic players with OP units and no skill. -sicboi

I wish this was added. Genuinely, I like this game and it’s unit designs. But one thing I hope that is added is the ability to login to an old account. I have been playing for a while, but when my old phone broke and I got a new one, I could get back all the things I had in the other account.

Improvement~. After the new update and a huge drop of crate rewards in my face.. C&C rivals has finally set the rules properly to cater to both p2w and ftp players. With the new fairplay system you can get rewarded more for beating higher card level players or dont lose anything if you lose to them. This controlled matchmaking definitely improves the gameplay as before i was constantly matched with crazy high uncapped levelled players. On a side note, Bring back the promo offer crate bundles! Current promo offers are overstretching it imo.

Settings. Yo been playing this for years great game and all but you need to fix settings tab as I cannot make custom lobbies or link accounts

iPhone 11. I tried logging into my account using iPhone 11 but during gameplay the tiberium graphics has “pixels” over it. Can this be fixed please

I’ve hit the virtual paywall.... I’m going to add my name to the growing list of bad reviews for the same reason as all the others: This game is amazing, lots of fun, challenging, looks great etc etc. However, as others have pointed out, there will come a point where you cannot progress. The opponents you are matched with are either way too advanced or (my guess is) that you’re simply playing against a computer at this stage because the opponents are able to build the most expensive units way faster than you can. It’s also highly suspicious that the opponents always seem to have exactly what they need to make light-work of whatever units you choose to battle with, regardless of how you set up your army. I presume the game is set this way to encourage you to start paying for bigger better units but honestly a lot of people would be happy to opt for an ad or pay a fee up front to buy the game, rather than devote hours and hours of time to simply end up hitting a virtual paywall and becoming frustrated with the sudden lack of progress. I’m at a point now where I’m winning maybe one or two games every 10-15, and my opponents are all able to build more expensive units much faster than I can. This is incredibly boring and frustrating. Also the Rivals Race feature is just a miserable 3-day losing streak, please give us the ability to opt-out of RR...

Pay vs Freeplay. It’s a good concept game. But there is no match unless you want to pay for epic units. You can get to around mid 400s without paying. But your units aren’t strong enough against a paying players units. So the game is good for a couple days and then unless you pay at least $10-20+ it’s not worth playing anymore.

Good game, but pay to win is a problem.. Gameplay is good fun, balance seems to be OK. EA fix most issues pretty quickly. However, there is one major issue with this game and that’s its pay to win mid to high levels. Once you hit units around level 6-7 it takes a long time to get the cards and money to upgrade them unless you pay. You’ll be put against players with higher level units which you simply can’t bet. This isn’t to say there aren’t good player out there, there are. A lot in fact. But there are simply to many games where higher levels units have won it and not skill.

Great Game but room for improvement. I used to play that game back in the 90 on my PC. So I was one of the first to try after it came out. Game play and graphics are great. Lots incentives to keep you playing. And you could come quite far without spending money on it. But after a couple of month playing it gets a bit boring. I miss the maps on the pc game where you had lots of room and actuality spend a couple of hours on a game. You should build in that option of bigger/ scrolling maps. This would be a great way to make that an epic game again. Also maybe include a measure like on other games that show that u even when u loose not quit the game. They have that on settlers. Keep improving guys!

Really good game but still need more DLC 😬. I always enjoy the command and conquer franchise when it was on the PC and when it jumped to Xbox, I never thought I’d see a new game ever again when they hit trouble along the way I really do enjoy this game a lot but I reckon it needs so much more but that’s my opinion, I believe it needs more of team battles and maybe more maps and map types like instead of getting a nuke it could be a mutant base, gun tower, enemy patrol, defence wall or something and join alliances made there could be a Mode for big battles and free for all’s 👽 But the game is still amazing and I enjoy playing it in my free time oh and maybe add more commanders too 😁

Better than it should be. It’s sad that this is what the CNC franchise has become; however, this game is pretty fun once you move past that. I knocked a star off for the freemium lootbox/card-collection model that obnoxiously forces it’s way into all of these f2p strategy games.

Ridiculous updates ruining what was nice. This is crazy, it is getting worse everyday. The vault update has ruined the game. It doesn’t even allow me to purchase vault space in the middle of my season end chest unboxing. Grrr... I am loosing all the cards which supposedly are free. I can’t even pay to retain them! How can I go to the store to add more vault space while I have tons chests? If you won’t allow me, why do I have to open every single one of them?

Excellent Game Until…... …….You are prepared to dump large sums of money into the game. You get to a point where it’s pretty much whoever has spent the most money. Is it possible to just pay an upfront fee for the game and be done with it?

In app purchase ruined it for me. I really enjoyed the game, awesome multiplayer experience but the amount of money you ask for your In game pixels is ridiculous. $60 for a crate to get some troops to level 7 half that money I could spend on buying a real game like COD4 just pure greed and taking advantage of how easy it is to click buy crate on your smart phone. thanks for the great game no thanks to your financial department!

More than expected. Having been a long time RTS fan and especially a C&C fan I was a little disappointed at the unveiling of a phone game. However, after playing the game for several days I can honestly say it is a fun and addictive little game and something friends and non rts guys can pick up very quick. You don’t need good micro which can be a turn off to beginners, just sound strategy and rational team building and you can do very well. Good - surprisingly balanced, nothing is quite OP and there hard counters to most things. - easy to learn and progress -maps are all fun and require different strategy Bad - A little bit unfair with match making. Some guys have far better weapons to use which leaves you at a distinct disadvantage. - Would be nice to not cap the amount of income you can earn per day. - definitely a pay to play style game, EA is pretty known for this to say the least. When you get higher level it’s very hard to keep competitive as most people have much higher level units. Should get more money from wins and donations and win streaks should give cards, you never have enough money to upgrade anything at higher levels.

unfair game - biased towards paid gamers. Good concept, but doesn’t matter how good you are, the algorithm will always try to “keep” your win rate at around 50%. That means it plays with your heart to make you spend $$ to get unfair advantage over others, which in turn will coerce that person to also spend $$ (unless they’re happy to keep losing). Doesn’t matter how much $$ you’ve paid to get that upgrade, the algorithm will find you other people who have higher units (keeping your win rate at 50%). Imagine if you don’t spend (say you are really good), you get to a level, then you just stay there because you keep being beaten by those spoiled brats who paid $$ for upgrades. I’m not gonna waste my time being “played” by the matchmaking algorithm.

Hmmmm. Love the series but this game is too EA in nature (you know what I mean). Players with 3000 coins will often buy the epic cards in the daily sale giving them an overwhelming advantage against anyone, even more skilled players. This is further a problem when they start at say, level 5. That and the fact that the most in dept strategy is just to use the counter to what the enemy is using. I suspect that theirs a point where even this “strategy” could be overcome by using cards who’s level is far higher then the opponent’s. Might be an enjoyable experience for some of you reading this, but I’m not going to waste time fighting a cause that wasn’t present in the first place.

Principal is good. Impossible match ups.. The concept is quite good but it becomes impossible to win battles because you’re matched with much stronger opponents. You literally have zero chance over and over again. Do you really expect me to continue playing? I don’t want to play unless I’m playing a fair match. Fix it! All the reviews say the same.

Expensive mark II. A great game that is very enjoyable, challenging and frustrating all at the same time. Similar to another review titled expensive, I found that progressing in the game become essentially impossible unless you pay money to train and upgrade your armies. When you get 20 points for a win and lose 20 for a defeat, this is where progress stalls. It’s not that I haven’t made purchases to this point to gain an advantage, it is just that now any progress requires $$. Enjoy this game but know you’ll also get to this point.

algorithms of the game will make loss more. The game will always make you battle with team with higher powers. After losing like 10 games you will get a chance to play with someone with the same level with you. Very unrealistic after you reach level 7 up. After you purchase powers. They will continue to make you battle with more power battles till you are almost going to give up. Losing to winning ratio is like 90:10.

Good game. It’s a good game. Easy to understand and play, harder to master and dominate. You can definitely play for free and have lots of fun. No annoying adds. Games a quick (1-4 minutes each) so the time commitment is low.

Download once - pay many times. Another scammy bait and bill title. Its primary purpose is to sell you bags of coins etc. forever. This kind of payment model is abusive and should be banned from the app store.

Do not play or purchase anything from this game all of EA’s game.. Lost my account with $180+ worth of purchases. Contacted EA HELP ( which is no help at all) 3 different person asked me the same question which i answered. Provided them with screen shot of itunes reciept and purchase history as EA requested. And the smart people at EA decided they’ll just take my money and not restore the purchase nor transfer to my new account nor give me a refund!!!! They should change the name of this game to thieves and robbers!

Needs improvement. You will constantly be doing challenge battles with people who have units that are considerably higher than yours and you will have no chance. they need to do some work on this game and match making

Graphics glitch since 2020. Graphics glitch

Rigged. Rigged game, matching you only against way stronger opponents so you’re forced to buy upgrades.

It prefect. I don’t now what to say

Not really CNC + matching mechanism is broken. The experience was good at the beginning, but as I proceeded, it’s getting worse and worse: 1) Very hard to get fair matches atm: I just got 6 battles in a roll where all my opponents are either with “unknown units” or “higher level units”. My low level rifle squads can never beat machine gun squads. 2) Pay 2 win: I get it, it’s a free game, the company must keep it profitable so the game can run, but not to unit upgrades. Unit upgrades give player so much as advantage in RTS games. In SC2, one upgrade can substantially change the balance of the match. 3) No so much micro needed: I myself find it crucial in the RTS games. Due to the first 2 points I mentioned, it’s very hard to micro when the other side can one shot your units. For example, some units can move and attack, but it’s useless.

P2W. 걍 잣같은 매칭 시스템 잣같은 레벨 시스템 모든걍 잣같은 잣같은 게임 ㅗㅗㅗㅗㅗㅗ

Matching is way off. Could be good, but matching is way off. 90%of the time you want to rage quit bc the other player has units with 3 levels ahead of you and overpowered units but are not available till lvl 60. The game isn’t fun when you have a handicap every match.

Absolutely giant waste of time. Just want you to keep you on continuous loosing streaks and tempts you u pay $$$ for crates especially for weekend rankings. Stay away! Not a fair platform to win!

Terrible Game - Don’t waste your time. My experiences with the game were somewhat positive the first 5 minutes but the game tries to pressure you to pay for the things by matching you against opponents with much stronger cards. After the first 4 matches I could not win no matter how hard I try just because I was simply outmatched - and considering how the game is built and how to get a victory, there is literally no chances of advancement without heavy dedication or purchasing stuff to help you advance which in most cases doesn't really help unless you spend a fortune.

Infuriating and not well put together. Not only is there micro transactions around every corner because this is EA and they care more about their wallets than their playerbase, but every single time I develop a strategy that is good, its impossible to win anyway. Why? Tech units. Whoever gets them first wins. You cant play without them unless you’re in tiberium league. And every loss feels like someone killed my dog, EA, fix your freaking game. I like it, but please, i want to not go into a fiery rage every time I lose.

This Game is easy to learn and tough to master. The ranking system and leagues really keeps this game from being a pay to win. It has options to pay for more cards and crates but the in game pay out reward system is quite reasonable. I’ve played this game for about 2 years and I’ve only spent maybe 50 dollars in that time because I wanted to try some new units without waiting to level them up naturally. It was totally a choice and not necessary but honestly they deserve some of my money for making such a fun and intuitive RTS for free. But keep in mind I was in the top 1% of players before I ever spent a dime. Anyone who cries “pay to win” is just not a wise player in all likelihood. I hAve one request, I would really like more skins for units, that made the race events so much more competitive, people really try harder to get those exclusive skins. I would also buy more skins if they were available. In short, it’s a top notch game for free, and in my opinion it’s worth trying out, just don’t expect to learn the ins and outs over night, when you unlock new units the game becomes progressively dynamic.

This is not C&C. I’m not sure why EA can release a game of such basic and poor quality. This is nowhere close to being a Command and Conquer strategy game. It’s not even fair to call this a dumbed down version of Command and Conquer. You don’t have any true control or freedom to build a base and an army. Instead, it’s just a simple point and click formula game without any freedom or imagination. Very disappointed.

Dumbed down version of the original. EA did it again, they transformed a beloved franchise in another cash grab that begs for every cent in your wallet. As almost every free to play mobile game this has poor controls, poor gameplay mechanics, poor graphics, poor progression system. Do yourself a favor and play the original on a pc. If you’re on the go buy a Nintendo switch and play other better strategy games that won’t beg you for money every 5 minutes.

Bad. I decided to play this for a while and I have to say. I’m disappointed as this game is almost as bad as command and conquer 4.

Don’t believe the fake reviews. It’s common practice for mobile games to pay for a whole bunch of fake five star reviews. Don’t believe them, this game is absolute trash.

Huge fun, but don’t expect to win very often.. Even if you know the rules and capabilities of the commanders and units, you’ll often be pitted in ‘challenge matches’ where you’ll very likely have an opponent with superpower one-hit-wonder-invincible units. Your units and Tiberium generation will always seem to be just a bit slower than your adversaries, so it’ll get frustrating. Addictive but frustrating when a loss costs a lot more than points gained in a win, which makes it take forever to progress with 40-60 win-loss ratios. Some players must have the program coding because humans simply be that continuously perfect in the ‘rock-paper-scissors’ chance of play.

It’s a fun game for me. And now I’m not good I’m fighting against higher lvl then me fix it so I can fight lvl 31s or something

Disappointed. Great for a while but then you can only fight “challenge battles“ vs senior players who destroy you and it becomes impossible to proceed with the campaign

Too many cheaters. App doesn’t filter pc players. I can live with it, but I won’t spend a dollar on this game if this is the norm.

Add Scrin. Would be great addition to the game

Pay2win. How original...... Play for an hour or two then delete the app. Another disgusting pay2win.

Pay to enjoy mentality.. It starts you off vs bots with “player names” to get your confidence high, then gives you a few people your level, to mix in some losses. Then it sends in higher level enemies so you get a losing streak and feel compelled to spend money on the game. Once you do, it repeats the sequence to make you food gratification over spending money. There is no fair game. You either face bots who you wipe the floor with, or people with a card advantage. Great if you do custom games with friends, otherwise don’t waste your time on this scam.

Good not great yet. -is a fun game to waste time but has a few fundamental flaws that can make it frustrating to become a regular player. Cheats are rampant and the developer is done with trying to stop them, there is no easy mechanism for banning cheaters that I can find and sometimes it just ruins the game. The rewards are strangely expensive and once you get to around level ten and 3100 points they pit you against players that are so far above you that the only points you can expect to win are when their mom or wife call them for dinner and they abandon the game… Too bad was a great game

Better. C&C Rivals is unlike anything else. I was expecting a Clash of Clans rip-off. Instead we got beautiful non-stop battles. A unit leveling system and a tight battlefield. Nukes on the line, Rivals got the Win!

A dying game. While this is one of the best RTS, EA has chose to let the game die. No updates in more than a year.

What I expected from EA. So like the many strategy game on here like clash of clans and others. Which isn’t bad seeing if you were a fan of the game on the pc. What was bad was the ranking system also if you got disconnected due to their servers it’s considered a loss. I have to tolerate the pay to win games as they are every game these days but with many bugs and not a proper balancing system. (Challenge matches count as a loss unlike what they say). I will never ever download another EA game again. If you are reading this don’t download it. Its not strategy it is like every other game on the App Store made to make money. If any of the old C&C devs were on this they should feel horrible

Uneven Battles. Horrible game!! Level 10’s get smoked by level 50’s! Extremely unbalanced game, it should be a game that should be deleted and never played

Became a total pay-to-win cash-grab with lame vanity crap. Terrible updates completely ruined the experience. Tone deaf devs working on vanity cash-grabs instead of adding features the gaming community was actually interested in. Rewards system have completely shifted to pay-to-win. I’ve played since the very beginning and was top 1% of players in both factions- just uninstalled, won’t be back.

Great game. I would give this game 5 stars but almost every other time I battle my game says “pore connection “ and the game becomes glitchy (kinda stop and go) please fix! I do love playing this game but it is hard to play when the game glitches every other time I battle 🇨🇦🎖🎖🎖🎖

This isn’t C&C. I know the game uses the title and some C&C art, but this is not C&C. Bait and switch.

Fun addictive game. Addictive and challenging and fun

The bottom lane is stupid because of that little puddle. Your units always try to go the long way around to attack your enemies and that’s what causes your units protecting the launch sites to die quicker. Fix your game

Where is my review?. Where is my review I submitted twice now?

Fun but glitchy. It’s still a very fun game but several parts of the terrain have a blocky, glitchy appearance. Gameplay is not affected. iPhone 11. Sound doesn’t work on iPad.

Waste of time. Just try’s to make you pay for stuff. By matching vs way stronger opponents.

Seriously ea. You call this command and conquer game the best joke I ever heard. This game is bad.

Doesn’t work. After the latest Apple update it no longer loads. Too bad

Great game. Notice all bad reviews are 5+ years old js

Where’s the likes of the old C&C like Red Alert. Few years back you guys used to have the C&C Red Alert in IOS, I understand the negative feedback from that game, but instead of removing it why not just abandon the game and keep it in the app store, I would rather pick that than this. This is not even close the old C&C. Please redirect the “veterans” to remaking the old style game like Red alert, or create something up like how C&C should have originally played. This, just doesn’t give us the connection on how it should have been played. No nostalgia no nothing...

Wow yet another “great” EA game! :). Absolutely trash, don’t even bother, just a copy and paste of line wars but with p2w elements, fun game huh, I hope you’re happy what you’re doing with god tier old names EA, taking a horrible dump on their once renowned names. Oh yeah and even if you’re good at the damn game have fun getting stuck at “x” level due to them pairing you against people with a 2-3 level advantage over you, even just one level difference makes it a nightmare, regardless of how well you do, when the enemy has just 2-3 more hit points over you, they win most engagements if not all. Overall 1/5 Only redeeming quality is the artwork.

Fixed. Good game but once you get up to 3000 experience you can’t go further unless you play constantly. If you don’t play consistently it feels like I s fixed in the other guys favour. How can your enemy make Tiberium faster. I’ve done the math and my enemy is always pulling out top war machines before I can. Either they have the castes internet in the world or it’s rigged

Pass. Lame cash grab from greedy ea, it’s just another basic clone of all the other PvP battle games. Save your storage space and play something else....ANYTHING else.

To all the naysayers. This is an amazing game period. Yes there is a cash grab component. Yes you can pay for upgrades. However, take it from a true strategy lover that has played the original C&C games, Starcraft 1 & 2, Warcraft 1, 2, 3, this game does have strategy and is full of it. For a mobile game this is GREAT, and best feature is NO ADS! You can play as much as you like without spending a single cent. Take that as a challenge and enjoy the game, join a local group, and try to increase your win ratio. Even if you have PAID for ALL upgrades you can still LOSE if you don’t have what it takes. If you enjoy true skills make sure to check this game out with an open mind.

Just dont. If you ever played red alert or tiberian sun dont play this. The 1996 and 1999 games were 100 times better even if our phones have better hardware. Its yet again an asian whale bait that use a name we loved.

Awesome Game. I love playing this game. Great strategy, no ads, it’s not pay to play, as stronger units are powered down to a common level to make each match fair. I play this for hours. Graphics are great as you would expect from any EA game.

Bad. Not even close to a mediocre C&C game

Minimized P2W but it can be significant in higher leagues. This game has fair mechanisms to minimize the effect of P2W. For example, you won’t lose anything if your opponents have much higher-level units, and a unit does decent job to a hard-countered unit even if the level is 2 lower. In master league or higher I believe the effect of P2W can be significant but still the counterplay of unit may make something happen. For those who insist that P2W overshadows skills completely and that reviewers who said the game has minimal P2W are paid by EA, are they even diamond/master/grand master league players in the absolutely free PvP game — Starcraft 2 so that they are very confident in their skill level? Clearly they should be placed in the master league instantly.

An Honest Review. Tactical, iffy controls, quick reaction time, loot boxes, Command and Conquer. In many ways games are like these words one way or another, but truly this games is probably better than most would think. It’s not garbage like the reviewers say it is but it isn’t worth five stars. There are problems that plague this game, though minor, can lead to even a bigger struggle. After playing for a week straight, it’s fun, after my dailies are competed for gold and loot boxes, I end up playing more matches just because it feels nice to have an equal shot at winning on a strategical level, where you can cheese someone by rushing high end units. You could argue you can do that here but it’ll take to long as you have an objective that will win the game. Hell even somewhere mid-game someone as cheesing with air, but the fun part about it as hey couldn’t because without a fair unit comp on the field and a quick reaction time and the wisdom to spend money EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN PAY TO MAKE YOUR UNITS OP, if you can have the wisdom to know how to set your units up or have the know how to counter, you’ll get destroyed. It’s a fun game that I recommend many people to play or try out, it’s fun! :D

Has a lot of potential. Pros: Game is fast paced, solid, and unforgiving to those who can't react on time. It's not an RTS in the traditional sense, but it's a great version for mobile gameplay and I play it daily! Cons: - The Tiberium has a pixelated glitch eveey time I play it on my iPad Air and it's not getting fixed even though the developers and community managers are seemingly aware of it. Shame cause I would love rather play it on my iPad. - The microtransactions which obviously fund the game cause there's no ads are too expensive and aren't worth the reward. I invested just a bit because I want to be supportive, but I wish they took more ideas out of Clash Royale. - Worst of all the development of the game just seemed very neglected over the past several years. It's been a while since any new units or skins were introduced, the prices are still the same, and as much as I would like the game to have a Red Alert and Generals cross-over in the future, the development seems so neglected that it's hard to ever see it happening at this point. I would totally pay $5/mo for season passes like I did to Clash Royale before this game became my #1 and I am writing this review with love and hope for a better fan service and so I could eventually change the scote to 5/5. Thank you for reading my review.

Horrible game, do not believe the 3 plus star write ups!. This game is just a simple player vs player game, but is totally designed as a money grab. I believe the game is designed to take money from all players with a competitive heart, at least until this game is hacked, if not already. In order to level up and become stronger you need an upgrade card that come in loot chests. Serious flaw developers have not noticed is that currently with all upgrades achieved it does not improve your battles with bot players that can easily kill you with very low level equipment, so for those that are gullible will constantly feed the money machine to gain an edge but will never do so and become more frustrated and spend even more money. A complete scam on EAs part, shame on them for using scenarios from older time honored games to reimpose a hostage scenario within game for money. EA return to the old gen games that brought you success in the first place and don’t cheat your faithful gamers in the process.

Was fun till you get on a win streak. This game is so much fun love the content. It makes you constantly think and I love that however when you win to many games it takes a dark turn and matches you with people levels above u in commander or troops or even both sometimes and those games are down right impossible to win you need to find 2v1s all the time and will barely win those and if you calculate that they will win by mid game due to just having a higher cristal income and thus more troops and with it the W. The game itself is 5 stars the way they chose to take it and make it micro transactions based to get cards to win the game turned this into another thing to add to the list of games this company has destroyed with their money making greed. #boycottEA(it’s about time this company is kicked out of the games making industry after battlefront 2 and many others this just keeps on getting worse. I just hope anthem doesn’t go down with EA syndrome as well)

Get it if you like to spend money or lose a lot. People use MAJOR advantages the creators have left flaw. Just played an event that put me against troops that are 9, when I am only 8s. To say the least when you choose vechile that are great against troops, and fighting troops that are bad against vehicles and lose 9 out of 10 battles because some programmed that be fair. Today I am deleting this game because great tactics can be defeated by matchups easily. It is fun at first, but very quickly you will have to fight people that have paid for upgrades. So be prepared to lose a lot of challenge matches. Then it gets worse as special battles will match you to people that have much higher commanders they bought and armies that yours cannot match even with much better strategy as the computer matching system only cares how high your commander is, but not the quality that you couldn’t possibly earn only buy. Plus you may have to wait minutes to even matched up.

Hey, listen!. Let me start off by saying that the gameplay is extremely fun! From unlocking and lvling up the units the way u want that best compliments ur strategy, to the actual battle itself. Strategy and quick thinking are key in this game. But the HUGE PROBLEM is that almost like every other mobile competitive game, this is GREATLY PAY TO WIN. it’s pay to win bc u can buy the ingame currency with real money (which ingame currency is used to upgrade ur units and make them stronger). If u weren’t able to buy the ingame currency, I believe this game would actually feel balanced between paying and non playing customers. But since it’s not you’ll find ur units getting completely wrecked by the enemy’s units, even tho he’s USING THE SAME UNITS! nothing’s lvl locked. So a guy with a fresh lvl 1 account can pay a crap ton of money and easily beat a lvl 30 non paying player. My solution is to make it to where u can’t buy in game currency, bc that is the biggest problem

Used to be fun. I’ve been playing now for about 2 months or so, started off being pretty decent but challenging. Now days if you’re playing as GDI your going to lose at least half the battle more then likely 2/3 or more when you get to the diamond league. I’ve tried many strategies and mixed up unit selections and it’s very difficult now to win as GDI. I’m having trouble periodically with the game correctly responding to my touch at times now also. You have a much better chance winning as the NOD faction which is unfair if you’re like me and try to play both. Units need adjustment to make the two factions similar in strength.. I’ve noticed a big change since the most recent update. I like the game a lot but it’s become aggravating to play when you’re level 9 with lvl 8-9 units and you’re fight lvl 10-11 opponents.. also when I lose they take 20 points.. when I manage to pull off a win I get 15-19 points.. seems to be pushing more toward payed players if you ask my opinion.

Expecting trash, but came out surprised. As a longtime fan of the C&C series, I was flustered upon hearing a mobile knockoff game made by EA. I knew where this was going and so did thousands of fans of the series. I got it just to see if it might’ve turned out good. Gameplay wise, it is actually quite fun. I’ve been playing for let’s say 10-20 minutes and I’m quite entertained. It follows a Clash Royal style where you can either attack an opponents base directly, or control areas at the center of the battlefield to launch a nuke at their base (the latter being the majority of victories). It’s quite intense in the fact that the tide of the battle can change at any moment. Only negative is micro transactions Free to play game + Electronic Arts = %100 chance of micro transactions I’m already getting “want the welcome bundle?” ads Frankly, I’m quite ticked EA is trying to get my wallet as always. I’m actually writing this review because the game asked me to. I did this because I wanted to share my thoughts about it as a longtime C&C fan. Nevertheless, this is a game I have been enjoying so far. I recommend people try it and if they don’t like it just throw it out.

Matchmaking encourages pay to win scheme. I’m constantly being match against people with the same units but their units are 2 or 3 levels above mine which means my units will always lose 1v1 early game even if I get the first shot or two off. If matchmaking was more balanced I would give a better review. The game is fun, but it’s not a strategy game. Your recruitment gets slowed the more units you have in a match so your early game lead rarely turns into a steamroll. It limits your unit compilation by forcing you to choose 7 from a choice of like 25. Some units are really obsolete like riflemen, three rifle men will lose to one flame or shatter troop which I don’t like, attack bike are way better than pitbulls. And I feel Nods unit variation and design is more thought out and creative than GDI’s but I think this has always been the case in CBC games. But it’s fun and a very good step in mobile rts where a market exists. I’m still waiting for advanced wars on mobile though.

Rewards for winning are not consistent.. It seems that every time the app downloads some sort of update, not only does new content become available, but they also change the amount of rewards you get for winning a battle. They keep making it harder. I got up to level 50. Paid quite a bit because I enjoyed the game. At one point I paid for the epic crate and the app crashed when it opened up the crate. I didn't see a difference in my coin balance or number of cards. Going back to rewards for winning, if I recall correctly you would get 17 coins for winning and double the amount for challenge matches. After the first update download, you no longer got double coins. The app downloaded updates again yesterday and a new character was released (centurion?) .. now the amount of coins you win varies. I won a couple matches in a row and received 10 coins per match. Coins are a must in the game. Will be deleting the app.

Yet another game no one asked for. Why do game companies keep doing this? Why do they feel the need to fix what isn’t broken and make this crap? Mobile gaming has its place and mobile gaming has its titles made for mobile gaming (temple run, candy crush, etc) BUT C&C HAS NO BUSINESS ON MOBILE!!!! Who ever makes the decisions for these companies needs a reality check or maybe needs to look for another career in a different industry. I’m tired of companies ruining games I love. First you scrap an exciting game like C&C Generals 2 that everyone would have much preferred over this garbage, to get this, MAKE THIS GARBAGE. EA, you should feel ashamed for causing the type of damage you do on the gaming community and industry. You have 0 respect or intelligence to identify what gamers want and make titles based off that. You look at the money first and that is why everyone wants you gone. Keep this up and one day you won’t have an ability to make games because we will all destroy you and watch your company burn. #DOWNWITHEA

Fun But Frustrating. This game has a great and original concept of a RTS style noble game. I really enjoyed the idea and have enjoyed the actually gameplay a lot. The problem is that the entire game comes down to cards. Unlike games like clash royal though this feels much more dominating in the game. If you gain standing quickly soon every match is a challenge match. This is frustrating as almost everyone you play against has cards 2-3 lvls higher than you or cards you have never seen. The way to gain cards for free is extremely slow and unrewarding. In other games gaining cards feels faster if you shoot up in standing but in this one I have been in platinum and only unlocked 1 more card then when I was in silver. Very frustrating and honestly made me decide to move on from this game, as I won’t pay large amounts of money to just be competitive.

Decent but annoying content stalling. The gameplay is very fun, but the way that many units and the entire Nod faction is locked being an artificial experience wall is weird. In a game that is encouraging me to make micro transactions to level units, it is super frustrating that 90% of the units aren’t yet accessible, so any of these loot boxes I buy are only being applied to the introductory units. You can play as much as you want but it takes 20,000 xp to level up (and access new content), and a win gives 50 Xp... so you can only level up from the bonus xp granted daily and not from playing the game. In other words you can play as much as you want but the later units are just not going to be accessible for a set amount of time, so you keep having to cough up money for loot boxes. I mean might as well charge a weekly subscription fee, let me use all the units, and it would feel less dirty.

Awful troop control. The game play is absolutely awful, because of how the game is setup your troops will never actually go to where you send them to because they can’t go through certain things so instead of immediately going to where you tell them to, they have to take the longest route possible or they just stop and don’t go anywhere at all, either way it’ll usually end up making you lose the game. And it doesn’t matter what troops your opponent has because as long as they have troops on all three spots of an objective, you’re guaranteed to lose because you can’t contest the point. Overall there isn’t really any gameplay to begin with though since there is no campaign and the games are incredibly short. So it’s just the same 5 minute game over and over and over. The game is very repetitive and just gets boring very fast. Maybe after some updates to improve the game and adding more stuff to it, I’ll come back, but for now I’m gonna pass on the game.

Fun game some flaws. Can you say “Challenge Battle” cuz that’s about all I ever get. There is an advantage. Don’t loose medals that way, but the ridiculous matchup usually means the other guy wins. His units are normally WAY stronger and just melt through my units regardless of the type. But hey, what am I complaining about? I am in the Master League with a relative low level of units. Might be doing something right. It takes so very long to advance a unit after level 9. Common chest holds what? 150 coins? Takes three times 4,000 to max a unit’s level. And after receiving the glorious triple purple chests, never to get it again (at that same level, each month resets your level). It’s a fun game. I watch the C&C tv for the pro level battles. How does one get 12 level 7nits anyway? Oh yea, buy stuff... sorry EA already dropped $40 on the game, in the old days that would have been the entire game! Guess I need to build me a windows 98 machine and dig out those olds cds. That was a fun game. Used to play LAN parties with it. Come to think, I was terrible about playing then too. But nobody could get those old net protocols to behave like me! Oh well, guess those days are gone (6 gamer battles).

ATTENTION LAWYERS: Fun at first, but demands you pay. ATTENTION ATTORNEYS: This would be a great class action suit for fraud. Unethical for sure: The algorithms clearly change depending on how long you play the game. The first few games are always easy, but if you play for awhile then it changes to where are only pitted against players that always have superior units, armies and levels. It’s designed to sucker you out of your cash. I hope apple gets sued for prompting this as an editors choice game. I’m sure, that they are raking in the cash. Edit: This game is potentially unethical. I’m at level 37, and 90% of the games I play are “challenge battles”. Those are games where you can’t lose points, but you’re up against a clearly superior player (by level and units). For example, my level 37 units are playing against units that aren’t even available until level 57 or 59. Clearly those players (who likely paid a wad o cash) are playing against vastly inferior players. It’s clearly programmed to milk your cash. I’m sure some have dumped hundreds into it. I hope someone files a class action against EA. Original review: Had a lot of fun with this game, and even spent $10. I think that is about what it is worth. But, it keeps trying to get you to spend more by consistently matching you with superior players. I understand the devs need to put food on their table, but it appears that they’ve gotten too greedy. Save yourself the frustration, and go elsewhere.

Totally get it!. Usually EA games are pay to win, which, ya you can pay to go through the leagues but it’s also not that hard to just level up and win battles if you are just playing the game. The game also has a lot of cool cards and the gameplay is super simple and fun. If you like games like clash royale then you will like this, because it’s the same 8 card pvp style game. And if you haven’t played clash royale then you should still get this game because it’s just a lot of fun. Also one last thing is that there is no energy system preventing you from playing so if you wanted you could just sit and play this game for hours or if you wanted just do a quick 2-3 minute match.

Challenging RTS, Not for Snowflakes. I've enjoyed this game for over two years now. It is an exciting game that always presents a new challenge. The short matches allow me to play for just a few minutes at a time, or for hours. Perfect for a working Dad who might get a, "Honey, I need your help!" at any moment. Support for the game from EA has waned as its revenue under performed expectations. Nonetheless, I still have fun, even two years in. It takes quite a while to level units to the higher levels, unless you want to spend quite a lot of time or money (or both). Patience, and a willingness to play in the lower leagues, is the key to happiness for those in the "play for free" camp.

Oblivious parents + spoiled kids = Ruined new generation = Ruined game experience. Apparently these days you aren’t born with talent nor do you develop talent...it’s bought. I can’t progress in the game any further because all the spoiled kids that beg mommy & daddy to buy them these add-ons in the game. When you have vehicles like the mammoth tank that can run over your most expensive and best unit then there is no reason to continue with the game. I’m not spending money to falsify my talent. A game should be fun for everyone and fair. You should not ever feel like you have to spend money just to gain an edge on the competition. You learn and grow with mistakes and failures. If this game can’t be balanced or updated so it’s fair to everyone then I have no reason to continue playing. It’s very unfortunate that something I enjoy has been ruined by money and greed. This new generation is going to destroy the world because everything has to be handed to them.

Nice try, but no cigar. I can appreciate the small map size since the app is designed to make mobile play more accessible. Even so, the game feels very limited when you have to play the same five or six battlefields over and over again. Further, the general play of the game seems unbalanced, as the Nod units appear to be much more effective than their GDI counterparts. Any player can take either side, but if you want to focus on GDI, you may find yourself frequently outmatched by even lower rated players. I have played rounds where it appeared that my weapons had no effect at all on the Nod units. They also have a disheartening habit of matching advanced opponents against beginners. It is disheartening to lose so many matches, simply because someone has acquired a commander that can fire an ion cannon every 30 seconds. They should match players by their levels so that you have a chance. Then of course there is the pay-to-win gaming system. Clearly, there are lots of people who are willing to spend a ton of money to shoot right up to the most powerful levels. It is no fun to be continually beaten by someone with no particular skills, that is armed to the teeth with an unbeatable army. Overall, good concept-poor execution. In the end, I decided to pull the trigger on my most powerful weapon — I deleted the app.

definitely fun and addicting but diehard c&c fans won’t be pleased. it’s hard to rate this game... purely taking the game by itself and rating how fun it is I’d give it a 5. It’s probably the most fun I’ve had on the iPad with RTS and can easily play 10 games in a row, having a blast each time. Games are quick and it’s easy to learn each unit. There are many different strategies you can try also which makes it more interesting. that being said this is definitely not Command and Conquer. All the wonderful single player missions are not there. There is no huge battlefield. There is also no balance between players. This last one really irritates me. I can accept people choosing to bring different units into battle, but having to play someone with units 2 levels higher is not right. So with it’s flaws it is a fun game, but don’t expect to get mobile Command and Conquer.

I loved it. Read this for honest review.. I’ve always been a BIG fan of C&C. Ever since Red Alert 2. This game is just what you need if you love a good RTS game. there is so many reviews of people saying its “pay-2-win”, this is not the case. I have played against people with stronger and better units than me and i still am able to win against them. If you are a competitive player and love the challenge of being put against others its a great way to see what you can do. Yes the game is free. So you can pay for different units and higher levels if you like. But all that means nothing if you don't know what you’re doing. Remember people have been playing games like this for decades. There is no campaign to this game. It is all player vs player. I am really hoping they will bring it in the future.

C&C lame excuse for a game.. Sadly the “ strategy” is to just rush your opponent and block them off so they can’t move. After about 200 games I have won about 75-80 games. GDI gets bullets that hurts everything and NOD gets fire that hurts troops and buildings. Still with that said with GDI I have lost about 500xp; meaning I have won the same empty crate 2 or 3 times. The issues started around level 7 for me. Enemies can be 4 levels above you. There is no logical matchmaking. Also get use to enemies to having Elite units you may not get for 5-10 more levels (Ya thinking of you Orca!) Also the joy of having one harvester and the enemy has two- which in a few games I didn’t even have a 2nd one as an option. Oh the reviewer that said “It’s just exactly like PC C&C games.”; Really should actually play the PC C&C games. If you want to win...... get your wallet ready! This game is 20% fun and 80% frustrating and maddening.

Great game! Too much fluff.. The fundamental essence of gameplay is what got me hooked. You could play for hours against new people who play at or around your level of playing. The best part is that you get to rank up and meet new challenges as you go along. However, now they have all these stupid things like cloning, which I don’t care to figure out what that means, and vaults that you have to collect coins for (or whatever item opens it), and season tournaments, etc. What makes me most angry is that my rank that I worked so hard for gets reset to Gold III every month. I was at Gold I and was super proud, but then got busy and stopped playing for a while. The game doesn’t let you retain your rank and so I feel I work hard for nothing. Not my cup of tea. Oh and you have to install updates continuously every time you open the app. Here comes the fall...

Sandbaggers Ruin Events. Im fairly new and every single event I’m grouped against level 60 players who have troops I’ve never seen. How am I supposed to counter something I’ve never seen? Not to mention these mysterious troops are at the max level cap for that league. The only reason I’m writing this review is because it’s impossible to open a ticket to complain. Everything leads to a forum with threads from other players. I contacted support and was discussing my purchases and how these events are flawed. They said we don’t handle these things and you need to contact someone else. Despite telling them i’ve spent the better part of an hr just to find this chat... they disconnected me from support. Now I’m playing just so i don’t feel like a moron for spending money before testing EVERY aspect first. I thought it’s Command and Conquer, how can this be bad? So, my best advice is to play for free because there’s no support here. Just high levels hanging out in lower leagues to mop up the rewards for every event.

Great job, Great game. I must say, I love command and conquer games and this is nothing like any of them, but that’s a good thing! To try and do all the things that you would normally do in a real C@C game would well, just be to much for the player on a phone or tablet. I think simplifying things a bit was a great concept for the developers. And I love how they kept the Rock/paper/scissor mechanic and kept harvesting a crucial part of the game, but also adding new mechanics like the nuke pads and it adds a new and fresh take on map control and positioning your troops. There’s just so much to say about this game! Yes some unit comps are a little OP and needs to be fine tuned a bit, but is a new game so I hope the team behind the scenes makes the right choices, they certainly have so far! Keep up the good work and I’ll see you on the battlefield! Good luck!! 🤯

Meh. Game isn’t too bad. Gets buggy sometimes and often during moments when it’s a win or lose situation. Once you get into master league, the game is pretty much impossible because everyone in that league has super high level units and every match is ridiculously hard. I tried every kind of different strategy I could think of. It seems the only way to progress past this league is to pay to level up your units 👎 Update: the game is REALLY buggy now. Like to an absurd extent. Somehow my opponents can sometimes use their abilities and produce units to a much faster extent then I can. I don’t understand how. Highly frustrating. Often in those win or lose situations, my units will bug out and decide to take the long way to stop the rocket from launching rather then move into the space right next to them to stop it. I also notice it doing it to my opponents as well from time to time. Pay to win is also still very present and that’s weak AF.

Fantastic game. I absolutely cannot put this game down. Every time I pick up my phone, I’m opening a crate or doing a match or two, and I love it. The unit choices are diverse enough that you can have a strategy unique to you, and there is a counter to everything. On a side note, I am in platinum league, and 8 of every 10 battles are chalenge battles, because my opponents units are “too high level” or they are “highly ranked” or they have “unknown units.” It’s nice not to loose medals from challenge battles, but it gets a bit frustrating fighting against people you know are better than you. I believe this is a result of a low amount of players online at a given time, but the matchmaking can be incredibly fast. Perhaps a longer wait time would allow for more balanced games?

Sort reviews by Most Recent for the true reviews. Reviews praising this game are almost all old dates (or new players who have yet to see what lies ahead at higher levels) . Sort by recent to get the real picture of what to expect in this game. It’s a typical EA cash grab. Plus tons of unbalanced units that make the game ridiculous. (Example: almost all comparable nod vehicle units are faster and can easily control the board early, then throw in a couple basilisk and game over) There are games where your opponent will have seemingly endless Tiberium right from the start. And I’ve lost matches, but still won the points. So either there’s a bug or it’s mitigation for cheaters. (Which would mean the game has unfixed exploits) either way it’s happened for so long that’s clear it doesn’t matter to EA. As long as they bleed the saps who pay to win dry. It had its day, but now it’s a mess.

I love this action packed strategizing game. This game is so amazing I cannot get enough of it I am so addicted the strategy of playing this game is the equivalent of me getting good grades in math which is hard I can never get tired of this game the more I play it the more I have more knowledge of what I need to do to be a powerful and even more powerful than I was at the beginning of my plate I would just give up lies to whoever made this game I know it’s probably old but it’s 2021 everybody’s playing any game that they find this game is never going to be deleted from my phone and this is coming from a 13-year-old that is how you know you’re doing great so keep it up make more updates and make me level up 👏👏👏👏

Nice and even game play. Thank you guys for taking care of this games history . This game is a lot of fun and i have enjoyed playing it for a long while now sure there’s a limit to how much stuff you can earn in a day , but this game isn’t meant for grinding on all day ( it’s free to play for a reason ) , the gameplay is very smooth just wish there were more cards to unlock . I have not spent a penny on this game and i already have 5 epic rarity cards in less than a week :) . Thanks for not being another pay to win version of command and conquer i loved the old pc game and am greatly enjoying this one . Just a side note i already have a 75% win rate and would love to be part of an esports league for this game . Thank you again for not being pay to win :) !!!

Could be much better. This game could be so much more fun if there was an algorithm that allowed for fair play. As it stands, you tend to either play people that are so far below your level that it’s boring to win or you play people that are so far ahead of you that they have units you’ve never even seen before. One commander has an attack that kills everything in a four tile square which is SO OVERPOWERED compared to any other commander’s special ability. You can join a clan which helps some because you can talk and get strategies and even request cards. Problem is you can’t request cards you don’t already have and I’ve played for three months or so and all I ever get are the same crap cards I basically started with. It’s random but it shouldn’t be completely random. You should get rewarded automatically at certain levels with the cards you’ll need to succeed. That’s way it would truly be about strategy and not just who was luckier with their card rewards.

C&C Rivals is Fun and Challenging try to log in at least every 12 hours and better yet every 8. Great addition to the C&C universe... I love all their games. I really wish they would complete the much awaited “C&C Generals 2”. I bought 5 copies of the ultimate collection just to get the early access to C&C Generals 2... as for gameplay I think this game still has balance issues... I get really frustrated when most of my matches I am totally being wiped by players 10 to 15 levels and more above me. Other than that I love to play... I really wish you could play against same level players or even a CPU. Be careful some players steal your resources first thing and you can never recover, or have such high level units you have no chance. Some battles are so unevenly matched and have such bad lag you almost want to rage quit or throw your device through a window. Just remember it is only a game, you can bless others by letting them win, get in your 10 battles a day, and I am sure the game will only get better.

Fun but strange. I’ve been a big fan of the C&C games and when this game was first announced, I thought it would be absolute garbage. Looking back on that, it was kinda biased on the fact that EA were the guys who were making it. Now, I can say the game is fun and NOT Pay to win(Don’t @ me) Yes you can buy things in the game, but it’s still not pay to win. Cause it has been stated many times that the game attempts to match you up with players of equal unit levels, meaning if you buy, it still doesn’t give you an advantage, it just matches you up with better players. However, the game is a strange concept. C&C was a top down strategy game, and this... I don’t know what to classify it as. Anyway, don’t let the big bad EA logo push you off from the game. It is a fun game

Too many hackers and uneven matches. Used to be able to win a lot of games but now I’m always matched up against people that magically can spawn 6-8 units immediately PLUS 2 of those things to mine with. My cool-down meter is always super slow to spawn units but magically these other players can spawn high level units with no cool-down period. Either this game went to the way of pay to win or there is hacking. I googled it and seems a lot of hacks out there available. Update: After winning a few matches again, I’m suddenly paired against players who spawn 4 high level units off the bat with two excavators and I literally saw someone spawn 2 more high levels units. How do I have a cool down period and others don’t? Either there is hacking or EA does this to force you pay to win. Meanwhile I’m sitting around with one unit and just watching the other player demolish the battleground. Fun. Update 2: Gotta love the inclusion of those beetles that do instant one hit kills and the enemy spawns 3 units off the bat and then floods the map with them during the map. It gives the player zero chance of tactical strategy when the OTHER PLAYER PAYS FOF ONE HIT KILL UNITS. Dumb. Going to uninstall this game and find another. They nerf your units and give other players who pay instant kills to force you to do the same. It is incredibly grimey.

Awesome. I love this game! Awesome App version of the original title! Yes, it is not the exact same and could have more features, but it is also a mobile app version of the game. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to play and have fun. You do not have to worry about being wiped out when away and there is always room for improvement on battle strategy. I hope to see more features soon though because it is only 1v1 which makes an Alliance sorta pointless. I hope to see more features soon such as 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 matches. If that isn’t added soon, the game may get boring... just my opinion! Other players have been playing and are still playing with only 1v1 matches, so that should say how fun the game can be for other fans of this title.

Not the old C&C. This game is great but the matches are too short. The nuke thing needs to go, it’s a little too unfair. It has elements of the original command and conquer I loved as a teen when it was out on PC, but I really think the game does not need to be so dumbed down for a mobile platform. It’s too simple, yet too difficult at times. And again the matches last less than a minute or so. I miss the old days playing skirmish against the computer AI for four hours on end. I know you guys can do that. Maybe re release red alert, or the original C&C with all original music and sounds. I’d buy it right now. That’s just how I feel. Hopefully you guys can improve this game (I loathe games where you have to play against other people. If I don’t pay, I don’t win. BS.) and add a skirmish mode and maybe change the nuke thing or make a game mode without it. Thanks.

Still bad. Returned after a few months, to see if the dev team had learned how to balance the game. I see they have. But have they? The dev team knows balance. I’m sure and if left to them the game would be better off. Like the old days of CnC. There wasn’t any motive to moneytize their game. So here we are ,It’s 2020 and let’s think , is it money , is money really what it’s all about. it’s just about the money. Just pl@y to win! If you say, “YES”. Then how do you know when you have paid enough? When you win? your entry fee? When does the real competition begin? Just, maybe you will see the game that the game devs imagined, but for me, I can’t, or won’t pay after seeing the imbalance from the edge . Btw, the edge is where you can’t win because low levels have high level things. Things , you can’t counter. Until you ask, what’s the point. Which, I will say money. So, go ahead and outwit your rivals!

Absolutely pay to win, don't be fooled by high ratings. This game is abysmal for many reasons, and I'll tell you why. It is absolutely pay to win, no doubt about it. The matchmaking will almost always pair you with someone who is a higher level or much more advanced in the game. The units don't respond well to user commands. All-in-all, this game is so bad they can't hide the fact it was solely constructed to infiltrate your wallet, as oppose to provide the user an enjoyable gaming experience. As an experienced gamer myself, I can tell you there are so many better options for strategy games, that provide an enjoyable experience, unlike this one. I almost never write reviews, but feel like I have a duty to anyone reading this, to strongly advise them against even downloading the game. They just bombard you with promo offers, and only care about your money. I spent $20 on the game, realized what was going on, got a refund, and uninstalled.

Deeply flawed game. it’s rigged progression folks your skill is irrelevant. you will be paired against much higher level players and lose ( it’s imposible to best troops with twice your health and firepower that cost the same as yours) then you will be paired against a lower level than you so it’s an Insta win. Since you gain more xp per win than you lose you are guaranteed a slow and painful progression but your gaming experience will be one of imposible to win fights and impossible to lose ones very unrewarding. Other negatives are 1. Crate system is absurd 2. Xp and gold gained from battles is caped so 100% pay to win 3. Pathing is pathetic units go in an arch around enemy units taking fire like morons so you have to micromanage each and every unit (Painful in a phone maybe playable game on a large tablet or pc) but why not make the units a bit more intelligent? Holding on tiles is the end all of the game so rush and hold... unless the other guy is two Levels up from you and his units simply won’t die lol again unrewarding rigged game

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. I NEVER write reviews of games, but I have to for this one. I have been playing everything from Clash of Clans to Candy Crush to MarioKart to allllll the random ones we have all been playing over the years. I needed something new and fun. I used to play this game on PC years and years ago so I thought to check it out and read the reviews.... The ones that were SO NEGATIVE about it all said that you have to ‘pay to play’ to beat the other people and it’s not fair. Boo hoo hoo. Be better. You don’t have to buy anything in this game. Just be patient, learn strategy, and don’t give up when you loose. You can bulk up your units in a normal way. Yeah, it might not take 4 days to max out every unit, but it’s so much more fun to learn about how to use them together as a whole and level up the units that you have learned to work better with. I believe that it’s a huge problem right now in all these games and in life. People get discouraged when the ‘win’ isn’t easily handed to them. Work for it. Enjoy the journey. And remember....it’s just a game!

Typical for EA. The gameplay is fun but as with all games with EA involved, there is a bad side. It becomes clear later that the game is entirely based on someone paying money to be able to keep up, if you don’t then you will be obliterated constantly by people who have payed money to upgrade and unlock new units. Leveling up takes far to long. It seems that you are expected to play for a few hours to even reach lvl 5. Ways to solve this: Greatly increase the amount of coins and xp gained per match. Though, because this is EA, I doubt they will do anything to fix these problems just so they can make a little extra money. I wish I could count on them but based on their previous actions, they won’t fix this until much of the player base leaves, or they are threatened legally in some way. This could have been a rather good game if it wasn’t made by EA. I really do wish I could trust them to fix this, I really do. Many other developers would. But, of course it won’t be EA. As they have shown in many of there games, they won’t change to favor anyone but themselves. And for that, I am sorry. Edit: EA has now taken it so far that you can BUY PLAYER LEVELS. This eliminates the whole purpose of playing the game. EA has gone to far.

Why can't I just pay one price for the entire game?. I love the Command & Conquer series. I have played every installment from the Red Alert series to everything under the Tiberian Sun series. I played them for countless hours on my computer. We paid retail price for the entire game, and you got everything unlocked by earring it in the game not purchasing it. Look I'm not against the IAP's if that's your cup of tea we'll cheers mate, but I've waited so long for a new Command & Conquer game, and the game looks great I'm sure it's fun to play if you don't mind IAP's but why can't there be both methods to accommodate the ones like me who have paid for games on the same business model since Atari, Intelivison, Commodore64, Nintendo, Sega...ect ect. Why can't games of this anticipation, caliber, and demand be given to the consumer with both the standard & IAP business models? And I love mobile gaming and play console quality games on my phone and paid good money to enjoy those games with no IAP's

MAJOR PAY 2 PLAY HOPE YOURE RICH. Sure the beginning of the game is fun and you’ll win a lot. I was fooled because I’m like wow this game is awesome I’ll keep playing. Not even a day in and it’s become impossible to win anything. I went from winning 10 in a row to losing every game after that. I literally get rolled over like nothing. I lose within the first 30 seconds of every match. All of these people you play against spent a lot of money because they have units that you can’t unlock within the level bracket that you play in. It’s ridiculous and I’m beyond heated I’m deleting this game because it’s trash. Should have known EA is money hungry with any game they put out let it be mobile or console games. Ridiculous. The graphics are decent and the concept is fun. The game interface is put together well but actually playing is a nightmare and a headache. Try not to have a heart attack from anger like me. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.

Fun but not my thing.. I mean if you like crash royal then you’ll like this game but I’ve been a fan with C&C since the very first game, and the last thing they did was Tiberium 4 and it was completely different but I didn’t like it. I’m glad they are trying new things with the “C&C” title but I rather just have some of the old stuff I knew and loved. They have to make money and make new games and try new things and so on. With in app purchases this game makes you feel even starting off because it’s more strategy but as you go up in level and face off stronger people even if you have strategy the way the cards work some one with a higher card stats could just beat you out flat like that. So in general you like crash royal you’ll love this game but if you’re a C&C fan I’ll give it a 50/50 if you like it or not. p.s. EA you have a great title of a fantastic series bring back some of the old style just with spruced up graphics and all that stuff to make it new and fancy.

Really bad. Ok this seemed fun for a bit, building up my troops, leveling up, crates. Nope. This game is awful. I have never played an iOS game this bad. The leveling matching, if there is any, is so bad that at level 20 it puts me against people level 46+, meaning that there’s no chance to beat them. One strike from one of their troops takes out half of mine in one shot. I can play for an hour and not even remotely win one game. Oh and then if I am doing well, the opponent suddenly had an energy beam from the sky and kills all my guys. Oh and my guys have to be right next to you to fire on you. Not theirs, halfway across the map their artillery just obliterated my troops before they can even leave the base. So... what’s the point? How is it fun if you know for sure there’s no chance. I surrender 9/10 games because it’s very obvious there no chance of even being competitive. Bad game. Update: I played 10 games in a row as a level 8 GDI. 9 of those games were against higher level people with level 9 or 10 troops. I lost all 10 games. I played to the best of my ability and before haters start thinking I’m just bad at it, honestly, it’s not that. The game sets you up for failure so you spend money out of frustration. I expected more from EA. The iPhone has become a money maker for game makers. This is why it is not a good platform for games.

The game is leveling is absurd!. The game itself is well made and fun. It’s the leveling piece of it that takes away the fun part. You really have to spend a lot of money to buy upgrades or spend a lot a time playing to win them. The AI pairs you to play automatically and you play against other players that have much higher level units. Then after you loose several battles then they pair you up with other players that are under your level so you can get some wins. But never pairs you with your own level, and this is disappointing. I’m all up to buy skins, other items or the game itself for a reasonable price as long as it’s s level plain field. But this game is design to have you spend money to feel superior! Players do not have an equal level plain field in the battles unless you invite a friend, but no real competition with your level. Too sad. I will be deleting this games and will look el where were I can find real balance field of competition. Like in the desktop versions of this games before.

Frustrating and broken, extremely pay2win. This game does a tremendous job of introducing you to it. Makes you think its fun and everything. Until you reach higher levels of play/higher ranks. You usually get here by playing “too well for your own good” and you’re stuck fighting players with much higher level units. You cant go back down because you don’t lose medals, and you can’t go up because theres a huge wall that prevents you from progressing. That is unless the developer succeeds in their attempt at extorting you for money from their half baked take at making a mockery of the C&C franchise. Then you can finally progress and not be at a CONSTANT DISADVANTAGE every match. The game also suffers from a really small meta, which also includes horrible balancing. Most units aren’t viable in a lot of decks unless you have some sort of mastery of how to use them. You’re mostly limited to the standard cookie cutter decks that pretty much kills any sort of diverse gameplay. I’m not gonna lie. At first the game was an absolute blast and chances are you will like it too, just remember to tank your medals before diamond league in order to avoid being trapped and having any enjoyment sucked out of your experience like it did for me. The developers deserve to be canned for this, but its EA, and knowing its a C&C game they might just shut down redwood studios like they did to those who came before them

I don’t care if old school C&C can’t appreciate this game.. The level of depth this game has is extremely impressive for a mobile game. I can’t really play Clash Royale anymore after being elevated to C&C Rivals. This game challenges me so much more, really puts my brain and my fingers to work. CR feels sleepy now in comparison. The design is very well thought out. Out strategizing and maneuvering your opponent is everything in this. You don’t have to pay a dime, to have a very rewarding, and balanced experience. You just won’t have access to all the variety of units as fast. To constructively criticize, they should add a tournament level of cards, so that they are all standardized in tournaments. Just being put in a certain league isn’t enough, in fact, it discourages me to push my rank, knowing that I’ll be outgunned in tournaments if I raise my league. I really like the soundtrack, almost sounds like a creepy NIN song at times. All in all, I don’t think this game will ever be as popular as CR, because it’s so much more DEMANDING INTELLECTUALLY, and takes soooo my more accurate micromanagement of units. This game ain’t for everyone, which makes me appreciate it all the more. +E
