News. I’ve had the app for a few years and it’s been what I wanted as far as a local newscasts. Haven’t had any issues with the app itself either. Definitely recommend this to anyone in the Roanoke valley.

Frequent late night/early morning alerts. Unless you like getting alerts that have nothing to do with inclement weather at 2-3 am, avoid this app. I don’t need an alert that the day is going to be sunny and nice at 2-3am. Other than that, it’s an OK app, but this happens too often for me to keep it installed.

Information. Why does the information in the app not update? I see articles from Jan in Dec but nothing much in Dec. the insider is basically about getting to know the news crew. That’s great but why be an insider? There’s supposed to be perks.

Needs a place for just local news. I like the app pretty well, but I wish it had a place to put in my location and get just the news from there and nothing else. I don’t need to see the local news from someplace I don’t live.

Stop the garbage breaking news. Daily Covid updates is not breaking news. What an actor, entertainer, or professional athlete says or does is not breaking news. Bring real news with real people, not paid entertainers who have lost touch with reality and society.

?????. Can't use it. All other functions on my iPhone work. Your news app just had a yellow band across the top that says "no internet connection " ???

Weather. Like it when it shows ya the pictures instead of words. That showed temp.chance of falling weather and Wind. You got have all three loved your old at and so did everyone at work.

Horrible Notifications. What is the point of sending notifications when the link takes you to a completely different story than that which was advertised in the notification. I click the notification which sends me to the video news website. I click play and get two adds then a story unrelated to the notification. I have to back out of that to get to the episode that has nothing to do with the story advertised in the notification. I have yet to see any of the stories in the notifications that I was interested in since I downloaded the app in October. My guess is your app developer is impotent to meet the news service needs.

Okay but. The app is okay but school closings needs to be more easily accessible. There’s all kinds of other/ older news stories and weather updates but not school/ business closings

Parade. No show on tv for jets, guessing some Roanoke liberal Mayor thought it hurt his image. You really did a poor parade coverage.

Incomplete Development. Not in sync with Notifications. Notifications on IPhone screen are individually selected and often there is no news representing that notification to be found. News subjects that are of individual interest often cannot be located. Also a screen about streaming and sky cams takes over the screen and requires closing just to get to news. Communication with digital help more than once has not produced a resolution or even an offer of a looking into a resolution even after viewing screenshots. WSLS News 10 and its staff are a good news team so the development of a new app should represent its striving for excellence.

Livestream Does Not Work. I downloaded this app for the main reason to hear local VA news and programming via livestream. Unfortunately 90% of the time I see a message stating “We’ll be right back”. I leave it open for 15 minutes and nothing ever comes on. Can this be updated? iPhone X user.

JD. The “live” feature never works on this app, which is what I downloaded it for.

News. Feel like you ourTilting the news more for the Democrat side. I would prefer to hear the news straight and not in favor of either side

Where’d the widget go???. The last update removed the widget. Why?!?!! It was great because I could see three of the top stories at a glance, without having to open the app unless it was something I wanted to read or watch. The widget was actually why I used the WSLS app for my day to day news and with this change it’s not better than any of the other local news apps. Now it’s gone and instead I get annoying notifications instead. All. Day. Long. And when I click on one it ALWAYS takes me to the wrong story. This HUGE change has rendered the app useless for me. Time to change local news apps.

Good app. I like the app a lot. However, the link for school closing needs to be easier to get to. The old app had a tab for it. In this version unless Wsls adds a link to school closings, you cannot find them unless you go to the internet/website. There should be a separate tab for it so you do not have to search for the closings.

Ads ruined it. Was a great app. Recently, loud and annoying full screen unskippable ads when opening the app. Removed it for now. Fine if you can deal with that I suppose, has all the headlines.

Needs Closings info. Will upgrade to 5 stars when closings are added to the app. It’s hard to imagine how this was overlooked when building the app??

Alerts Don’t Work. Second time downloading this app and still having the same issue. You get an alert, try to open it, and it’s no where to be found!
