I use it everyday but needs more custom brushes. Tattoo artist here and honestly the UI on this app is better for me than ProCreate. HOWEVER. A lot of artists I know use ProCreate and their developers have made TONS of custom brushes that are tattoo related which is probably why so many artists use it. So to the developers of this app- if you made custom brushes that directly relate to the world of tattooing and pushed that Niche, you might have more and more upcoming artists using infinite painter over ProCreate. Just a thought. If you do already make brushes like I am describing please let me know because I have searched and found nothing. Even tried creating my own but I can’t figure it out.

.....the pain. Great app, brush engine works like a dream unlike Procreate where you need to go buy brushes to compensate for the mediocre default brushes. I would love to give it 5 stars even 4 stars...BUT I really have to give it what it deserves a 1 star rating because of the crashes. It seems like this app can’t handle all the layers even though they give you a limit it will constantly crash on you when you are trying to save making you lose all your hard work. I was in the process of making a landscape painting, which might have been one of my best ones to date but ended up losing everything...the pain...Fix your app’s stability during saves, maybe even implement a backup/autosave feature or do what Procreate does like when it crashes it reverts back to your last brush stroke and not a previous save or wipe out your save entirely. Nobody is going to consider the app for any serious work when it can’t save reliably or have stability issues.

Beautiful sleek alternative to Procreate. What I love: beautiful and intuitive UI that is much easier to pick up compared to Procreate. Brush strokes are natural and work smoothly without lag. Many useful tools and the customizable toolbar is one of the best features I've tried. What I don't love: Bugs; I'm not sure what causes it but sometimes when I try to draw on a specific layer the app crashes. Restarting the app doesn't work, and eventually I either have to create a new layer to work on or even a new project. I've also tried wearing a glove with palm rejection to see if that helped, but that doesn't seem to be related to what I'm experiencing. The crashes are a shame to deal with, for the time being I will likely use this mainly for sketches. Anything highly involved would be too risky.

Really great app!. I love this app. I recently wanted to start creating digital art along with art on paper because there are endless possibilities and wanted to download Procreate on my iPad but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to a $10 purchase without seeing what the app was like first. I downloaded this app and it comes with a 7 day trial without having to worry about them charging you afterwards. I really enjoyed premium and all of the brushes are still available after the trial is over! I, however, wanted the ability to create layers, which was a premium option. I bought premium for the same amount as procreate and I have no regrets. I think this app is great for digital art and there are tons of brushes to choose from. You can even create your own brushes.

LOVE IT but add some things please. Okay so this app is really cool and its my only drawing app but there are a few problems/ suggestions with it 1. Buggy Okay so usually its fine with bugs and stuff but sometimes when I'm just trying to get in a drawing and draw (duh) whenever i click on the drawing it crashes now i tried many things like duplicating it or restoring it but it doesn’t work :( 2. FOLDERS So I love the folders tool it makes my very messy layout better but its such a pain when I wanna change up some things cause you have to physically one by one remove an item and then put it in the one folder by holding one and moving it I would rather press select and then you can like press a folder and it goes in that one (also for deleting too) 3. Fill Tool So you guys may not be able to fix this but whenever I fill something in with the tool it leaves a line very close to the border of whatever I’m doing and if you zoom out its not as noticeable if your doing a white/black background but if you have a vibrant color background it will shine right through and it annoys me so then I have to use my brush to fill it in That is all I will fix my review if fixed but if not it will stay ( I AM NOT PUTTING HATE TO THIS I LOVE THIS APP just few suggestions/ problems :D) thank you VChain <3

Loving the app so far. This review is coming from an iPad 6th gen user, nothing fancy. I’ve only ever used procreate, but decided to give a few other apps a shot and this is by far my favorite app other then procreate. I like that the interface is very user friendly, and I think most procreate users will adjust quickly. I’ve only had the app for the the trial period and decided I would purchase and support the developers because by far my favorite feature are the brushes that I’ve used on this app. When I initially invested in an iPad mainly for drawing/painting etc. I was fully aware of the differences with the pro variants but felt those added features didn’t justify hundreds of more dollars. When sketching on this app It feels more premium somehow, and familiar to me even though I’ve been using procreate heavily for a few years now. Definitely would recommend to any artist out there looking for a premium app.

Great app with a few quirks. This app has a great mix of tools and features from successful art software and it manages to not make the user experience a mess considering the amount of tools included. However, one thing that currently prevents me from using it more often is the way brush stepping is implemented and makes brushes like the airbrush not usable as the stepping is VERY noticeable and it also creates a sharp outline which should instead look as a smooth gradient. I use the airbrush a lot in my work and haven’t been able to find a setting to alleviate this issue. Other quirks are related more to a “power” user scenario. Things like layer grouping, multi layer selection are not here. Other things like persistent color picker and tools bar (shown in the first app store screenshot) don’t seem to be present or there isn’t any documentation on how to enable it. Regardless of these setbacks, this app comes filled with very useful features for precise work and manages to make the user experience a breeze for the most part. Also I think the three finger swipe to change brush size/opacity is probably the best thing since the two finger tap to undo was invented. Great work on the app and hope to see it improve!

Re review. The manual says on import clipboard option...and when i try to paste something just like the manual says...its not even available...over all the app has promise but as a die hard user of csp i use other apps on my ipad as supplement support when i cant gimicky brushes in csp...ill move layers to an app that has them...so no paste from clipboard into a layer?...this just makes it more tedious to move layers around...if you manual says its there why is it not in the app... Update...ok was contacted by developer...it only shows when something is actually on the clip board...turned out it was an issue with the other app i was using...would be nice if the button was still there whether or not something was in the clip board...the brush engine is really good...however i get a lot of jaggedness from the liquify tool it needs to be buttery smooth to really take advantage such feature especially if you using it towards the completion of a project...

Read before you buy. I’m new to this app and had no experience with free version that others are talking about. I gladly paid for what I would expect to work decently. I have lower expectations than others, I guess, and can put up with little annoyances but this is infuriating. The layers functions are jacked up. This is way beyond glitchy, it isn’t even usable. I will say, I haven’t seen anyone else complain of this but I also don’t have time to read many reviews. Perhaps I’m the only one experiencing this but that doesn’t make sense. I’m running on the latest iPad Pro 2020, latest ios 14. Too many crazy things to explain but the biggest issues are things disappearing from layers (even after saved), attaching to the next selected layer, while also being attached to the layer it’s created on. The last stroke changing color when you go to color pick for the next stroke. I’ve tried making one stroke, then “save”, in hopes of moving on, nope ..it’s as if it doesn’t save the file and reverts back to the same craziness. It didn’t start out like this. I don’t know if the number of layers is what sent it over the edge or what. It did seem to get worse once I started using the lock function on layers. I literally can’t get my work finished. I’ve spent almost 2 hours trying to work around the last 3 strokes of this piece. Beyond frustrating not to mention a waste of money at this point. Beware! Help!?

Cool... but something’s not working. I love how you can use different textures to draw on here. It’s really useful to have reference. However, one of my favorite things on here is that I can use it for photoshop 😂 I was having fun, using imported pictures to make outfits and stuff, when, suddenly, I went to gallery and it said that I have no photos or videos, when I have 976 pictures, and 63 videos. I’m not sure if it’s because I have way too many, or if it’s something else, but it’s really weird lol. Besides that, it’s a great app. Of course it’s not perfect, but I really like it! Especially the fact that you can download or create your own different textures. One more thing: I think it would be cool if you could use reference and get the smart palette for that reference. Just a suggestion!

Pretty close to Procreate and as good as any other. The engine needs some love. Good to see that there’s new updates after a couple of years. This one comes with a lot, if not a little bit more than Procreate as far as tools and default brushes. Procreate does not have a designated set of fill tools for example. Neither does it have painterly filters. But with the different brush engine that this app has, it packs cool brushes to go with it that you really can’t find anywhere else. It reminds me of an earlier Krita or Manga Studio before it was Clip Studio. If you want something that’s not as pricey as Clip Studio’s copycat Adobe Photoshop prices, that’s close to it this app is promising. With a little bit more love and polishing, this will definitely compete Procreate, Krita, and Clip Studio. Keeping in mind every app does offer something different. It is worth the 10$.

Good But Complicated. Ok... So my friend recommended me this app because We like Doing Gatcha (Anime maker app) and you can Edit Your characters to look more realistic, Give them extra stuff, and Overall make it look better. When I downloaded it, It was pretty cool, and their were a lot of features! (Sadly some of them were only part of the free 7 day trial, After you don’t have as much features😕) This app is Great and all but I wish it was more easy to use. By that I mean there were a lot of odd features that I didn’t understand and A lot of buttons and stuff That I didn’t know how to use, So my friend had to come over to help me. I’d really Like it if one of the complicated buttons in this app Could be one that explains all the features and buttons! That’s all from me :)

Amazing app allows the imagination to be free. The ease of use, range of brushes and colors is superb for the price. It is powerful and allow the imagination to create at a whim. The layers work great and I like the color palettes the best. Especially that is chosen a color palate base on your current art. I’m still exploring the masking which to me is a little confusing. I’ve experienced issues with the smear tool, and have some times lost layers when changing the brush size. The back button works great most of the time and can bring back my layer. I just know two things save often and always have a back up layer. The back up button sometimes does get lost. I’ve lost changes a few time but as I said back up often. I noticed that when you close out it leaves your most recent file open, I don’t like that I feel it makes it susceptible to corruption, so I have a blank that I switch to prior to closing the app. The image file when printing is not actually that big. That’s good if you’re just creating for digital but if you want to print not so good. Again, fabulous for the price, easy to use, only a few glitches and scalability. Give it a try best 10 bucks you’ll spend to expand your creative canvas.

Great app, robust customization. Their brushes are somehow so lush and sensual, and I’m familiar with customizing the most detailed of parameters on every popular app, but can’t put my finger on what is so lovely about these tools. It might have to do with the very friendly curve controls that can be applied and tweaked to myriad inputs to create tools that are adjusted perfectly to one’s needs or intuitions. Being experienced in audio synthesis, I notice a similarity in the approach to the touch interface in the manner that they have implemented a type of envelope curve language to take advantage of all the nuances of user input, making the brushwork remarkably “musical” to my eye. There’s really no other software that accomplishes this so well, and I wish I could afford to continue my trial version. If they had a watercolor engine that could really “bleed” colors the way that adobe’s does, I’d go in all the way, and after playing with their brushes, I fully expected that miracle. Their watercolor simulations are as good as almost any other, and I sympathize with the difficulty that must be entailed in making finished brushstrokes continue to move. I can’t even imagine how that’s done, computationally. And maybe I’ll cave in as I have on so many other apps. I’m sure to miss these glistening, gorgeous strokes. Beautiful job, whoever is responsible!

Update ruined it!! Was perfect!!. I had purchased your app a few months ago. Absolutely loved it!! Use it for drawing, painting, photos, and graphics. Had worked flawless on my IPad Pro. I decided to do an update. YOU RUINED IT!! This is how I work and make money. Profoundly frustrating. It literally crashes every time I undo anything. Whether through gesture or button. Also just changing anything, tools, etc it crashes. I was working for about 10 min and had around 25 crashes. I actually preferred this over PS for ease of use. High quality, pretty much perfect for me. NOW I CAN’T USE IT. Kills work flow in seconds. I don’t want to buy another app. I WANT THIS APP. The version on my phone still works, but I can’t work as well on it. PLEASE FIX IT!!! Wish I could revert it back to the last update I did months ago, because it still functioned well. Can’t find anyway to contact you guys. That’s not good either.

Very good. This app is very good it’s just like procreate but a bit different. Whenever I draw on this app it’s very easy and you can add layers or adjust also I want to say the cons of the app is after a while yawing the app it will make you to get the effects like the layers and filters. Another cons is sometimes it like to kick you out of the app I don’t know if it kick everyone out of the app or not but it does to me. One more cons is the effects as I said after a while it will make you pay to use the effect which are layers, adjustment, filters, and a lot of effect which is the only thing that help you draw on the app. Back to the pros which are the app help you adjust drawing a line to a perfect line instead of a zig zag line or it will help you with the circles, and other shapes. The app also give filters like a grid for example. In conclusion the app is very good but if you don’t have money to pay for the app after a while then I suggest not to get the app but if you really like drawing and don’t care then get the app and draw your out. :)

Top 3. Digital drawing, painting applications available. Definitively. Spanning the passed 12 years. Congrats to the developers on being sensitive to nib functions, UI design, and finding a nice complement between such design and how we implement the tools used for painting/drawing. I don’t mean to use infinite comment space to mention other people, but for the sake of anyone skeptical of bias, I will say that in my opinion, the best drawing programs are in no particular order, clips sketchbook, sketches, infinite painter, pixiv ( minus the privacy issues I have with 200 ad nauseum 3rd party permissions ) charcoal (;)) and one or two more. My review comes from an extent background in drying and a deliberate transition to digital and giving my ratings and ideas based on how smoothly such a transition occurs using these mediums. Infinite painter proves to be one of the better.

And I never write reviews!. This app is amazing. I actually had it a long time before I really tried to learn it well. It took a bit of time to figure everything out but it is now my go to app over Procreate or Affinity which is what I used before mainly. There are several things I want to add and improve upon, like improving Apple Pencil integration, organizing the brush community better, having certain tools do more then the do, adding text, and I wish it didn’t crash as often as it does but I know asking for a lot now. And I know that infinite will get there, I just need to be patient (very hard for me!). I have a group on Fb and I tell all my members why they should switch from procreate to infinite! I feel they deserve way more hype, most I talk to have never even heard of it! If your on the fence about purchasing the full version, don’t be, buy it. You won’t be sorry. Just take the time to read through manual so you know capabilities, and then take the time to learn the layout.

This App is a Work Horse. I use this both this app and Procreate. Both have strengths. Infinite Painters main strengths is that it has more in-depth features that help with things like concept art. Its perspective guides are better than procreates imo. Also The fill brushes are amazing. Great for focusing on shape. Another plus is the control it gives you over the selection to and masking is great. For example when selecting using the ellipse selection tool I can adjust it before the selection goes live. Very useful feature. Also the ability to customize the menu is powerful. I feel like all professional artists ought to give this a look if they haven’t yet. Might be surprised.

Great App, But I Have a Few Opinions. First and Foremost, this is a great app! It’s a super alternative to Procreate for artists with an iPad, or another tablet. I have used this for years and fell in love with all the customization you can do! But, I recently got a new account, and realized the limitations of the app, without the unlimited subscription. I get it, you can’t have a COMPLETELY free app, that wouldn’t make sense from a developer standpoint. But you can even add different layers, which I would like to think is why some people choose to draw online. Also, you can’t manipulate things in your drawing, which is another reason so many people choose to draw online. Ending this extremely log review, I think you should make some changes, and take out some of the “minor” customizations, and add some of the “major” customizations like layers and manipulation, and it could make it the perfect alternative for people!

Amazing!!!. What it shows isn’t even close to anything you can do, you can do so much more! This app I totally recommend and I used to use Procreate, which was good, but infinite painter is so much better because you can do so much than what you can do in other artist apps. If you want to play around and do less realism I would recommend procreate but if you want more and more realism I would recommend Infinite Painter. The thing I do not like about the app is that you have to pay every month for more than three layers, and to me, layers are very important to me. I would make the app cost a little and not the layers because three is not enough. And what you are paying to get more layers is honestly ridiculous.

Incredible. I’m stunned that this app isn’t more well known than other apps with pro in their name. It’s clear the devs are spending their energy on making an absolutely killer painting app and not just marketing ;) I’ve been a long time user of the major iPad painting apps, and while they are great in their own ways they have all left me wanting, either they’re highly optimized but missing key features, or feature rich but the UX is lacking, or a little bit of both. Infinite painter is the impossible perfect mix, unbelievably well thought out UX and fantastic features depth. it’s been a long time since I felt such excitement and joy discovering and using a painting app. Bravo. there’s no reason this app shouldn’t be number one, keep up the great work!!

Why it’s good and bad.. I’m an artist who is starting to spend money on buying the most recommended. I started with sketch then to procreate. I watched many videos about which app is the best! I have around 5+ years of experience throughout different drawing apps. Procreate is still my favorite but now not using it since I got this app. This app offers a lot of things except (adding text or even add brushing back) which is very frustrating. I really don’t want to buy a stylus pen. So I paid the $9.99 to get everything which was good at the start. I later on realizing that adding or your own choose adding pencil wasn’t a thing. Some things that this app doesn’t have, others do have. The pens sometimes doesn’t even be clean lines to not make a small gap for it to not do extra work. Other then that it’s good

The best drawing app I’ve used. Infinite Painter is by far my favorite and most comfortable drawing app I have ever used. It’s easy to manage, fun to use, and very well organized. Everything in the app is easy for users to understand and everything works amazing. Though a few complaints I have is that there aren’t many frequent updates and there are instances where projects can be too much for the device or the app just crashes on you randomly. I have also run into a bug that duplicates your artwork and once you delete the duplicate it deletes the original one too. I hope to see the app evolve and update into even greater versions of itself and cant wait to make even more projects with it!

Worsened over time.... At first, this app was a dream! The multitude of brush options a textures, the easy use and the layers. As a new artist, I couldn’t have been happier. However, as I continued to use the app, before my free trial ended, the app would constantly crash. When I would undo something, add a layer, import a photo, save my work, the app would crash and I would lose a bit of work. I had only two projects on it as well, as an attempt to prevent the app from preforming poorly. No luck. Not to mention, the locking of the layers was greatly annoying. I can deal with some brushes and such being locked, however, the layers are such a basic necessity for digital artists that locking them seemed incredibly frustrating to say the least. In short, the app preformed worse over the course of a week as I played around with it and caused me to be unable to finish a project I was very proud of in the process. I don’t recommend this app, unless you are willing to pay to unlock everything and do not have crash problems like I did while using it.

Kind of Dishonest. The app was great except for the part where they don’t tell you you’re on a free trial. When I first got the app, I absolutely loved it but then out of nowhere 7 days later they decided to spring the information on me that I was actually on a free trial for a week and I would have to pay to keep using even basic features such as layers. Honestly they should just make the app itself cost $5 or give you a notice when you download it that it’s only a trial, not the full thing. It was a bit aggravating to work on a piece for days and then all of a sudden you can’t finish it because the free trial that you didn’t even know about in the first place is suddenly over. Furthermore, I bought the full version recently because I thought maybe it would be worth it but then I realize that, even if I log into my account, I can only use the full version on one device. So I’d pretty much have to buy the same app AGAIN to use the account on my ipad.

Great features and tools. Paid version. My favorite tools are the fill tools, especially comboed with the mirror tools, you can create art in a different way that is super fluid and fast and really fun to experiment with. There are really nice painting brushes as well that create beautifully realistic oil and watercolor paintings. There are numerous features in the app, and they just did an update that brought new features that I love, like the line art feature which removes and white space from your image and turns it transparent. You can read up on all of the features in the included manual, which is really easy to navigate, though I wish it had a back button when jumping around pages, it is still nice that it has clickable page references.

My favorite drawing app, butttt…. This app beats Procreate any day in my opinion, but crashes if I expand my canvas and then attempt to continue my work. I have an iPad Pro with a lot of space and I can’t think of a good reason that this keeps happening. I still use it for everything I do professionally, and hope this is fixed over time, or is maybe a glitch that will blow over. Otherwise, I am happy that there is a professional app that doesn’t have some forced ‘smoothing’ like procreate does. The perspective tools are also mind blowing, and everything so far has been well worth my money. Would pay more for this, and recommend it as the #1 IPad app to anyone asking which app they should go with. - Buus

Great, but.... I have only had this app for a few hours so sorry if my review isn’t very accurate. I’m hoping maybe the developer can answer some of my questions. I love this app but since it doesn’t have much of a tutorial it is hard to use. I’ve been play around with it and I tried uploading a picture to trace over it and then give it my own flair or style but it’s hard to draw over the picture even with lairs. I can’t buy the stuff that cost money but I couldn’t find the right pencil. I worked with what I have. The brushes were AWESOME Good things about this app: It has a large color range. It’s easy to zoom in. They have AMAZING spray brushes and brushes and markers. Since I haven’t had this app for long, I can’t say much but I bet there is a lot more to look forward to 😁😁😁 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕨𝕙𝕠𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤, ⒽⒶⓋⒺ Ⓐ ⒶⓂⒶⓏⒾⓃⒼ ⒹⒶⓎ Edit: Also my bar that has like the paint brushes and stuff, moved up and covered the button with the home icon. I can’t move it back plzzz help

I’ve written a review before and I was petty with it but now I’m serious. This is a great app that completely help me transition from traditional to electronic, great app and I love everything about it. It’s really cheap too. BUT my latest drawing somehow got corrupted? It completely messed it up. I had it on a specific setting for the portrait size and I also had hidden quite a few layers. Today I opened it up and it had unbidden all the layers as well as set it back to the default portrait size. I have no clue how this happened or how to fix it. And this had destroyed me because I put a lot of time/effort into it. I feel like this is a bug that need to be fixed immediately Edited: I gave a 5 star because of the response but I cant share because of the app crashing every time I hit the share button

Amazing (asterisk). Honestly one of the best painting apps I’ve ever used. The brushes are easy to use and feel amazing to draw and paint with, and creating new brushes is simple and easy. I can draw and paint in several different styles, from extremely graphic design to impressionist painting with ease, which I haven’t been able to do with any other art apps. The filters are easy to use, and the effect layers, like gradient maps, are amazing and something I can’t do without as an illustrator. HOWEVER, there are a few bugs I’ve found that make it impossible to give it five stars. Sometimes when making a new layer in a project with multiple layers and folder groupings, the new layer will randomly disable other layers, seemingly for no reason I can figure out, and turning the layers on and off does nothing to help, and the only way to work around it is to keep painting on layers that are already there and hope for the best. I haven’t yet found a quick fix for this. Every time I resize my canvas, I can’t draw again without the app crashing, and closing and reopening the app, the project, etc, does nothing to help. The only way around this is to duplicate the project and start working on the duplicated copy, deleting the original afterward. While duplicating the project does allow me to continue working, it absolutely interrupts the artistic flow, and every time it happens, I’m terrified that duplicating the project won’t work and I’ve lost hours or even days of work.

Love it so far but. It’s a good app. It’s simple and easy to navigate. It has a similar feel to procreate. I don’t like how much battery it consumes using the app, but I can keep it plugged in while I work. It never crashes on my phone but it does crash frequently on my iPad. I do not have any loss of progress though when it does crash besides a few strokes missing. None of my projects have deleted like some other users. The only thing I’m confused about is exporting video. Some projects I’m able to save as a video. But there are other projects that only allow you to “save file” or move to drive or mail. None of these options work for saving the video. Does the project have to be a certain size to be able to save video? That’s all I’m confused about.

Great App, Found a bug or two. This is a phenomenal app. Amazing painting app overall but there are some issues I've encountered: 1) When the Apple Keyboard is attached, and you attempt to name a project, the hotkey versions of typed letters such as "b" or "t" will override your attempt to use said letter in a project name. So to name a project, I've had to pull the iPad off of the Apple Keyboard in order to properly name some projects. This feels unintentional. 2) With an Apple Pencil (1st one at least) connected the app still recognizes some skin contact as drawn lines. Not sure if this was intentional, but total skin/palm rejection (that isn't multiple fingers such as for zooming or movement) is totally possible in other apps I've used. Not sure if this one was intentional. 3) Sometimes, and I'm not sure what combination of actions causes it, but I lose a major portion of my undo/redo history. And I have not been able to reliably reproduce it. And it's really unfortunate in tandem with the second issue when I make an unintended marking, and suddenly "undo" broke. And as you see this review is a 4 star review - I don't mean to deter people - app works really well in general. Just these obscure issues can be a nuisance at times, and I hope the developer sees this. Thank you.

Why isn’t this app more famous than Procreate?. This program is amazing. It is so easy to use and the pattern option - oh my goodness, talk about having a secret design weapon that maybe a lot of surface pattern designers don’t even know about. You have to marvel at the power of money and marketing because someone put a lot of clout behind Procreate, while this app is as good and in my opinion, better, but it does not even come up in the results when you search for art program for iPad. Only reason I found out about it was as I was searching I saw Painter, and since I have used Corel Painter to make portrait art, I figured I would check it out. Again, it is amazing.

Recomended. I love this app and it has so many different brushes! You can import a picture to trace, there are different layer you can add and move and you can make your own colors. There are some colors that are made if you want to use those too. They also automaticly make you videos time-lapse so you can see how you made your drawing! I would defiantly recomend this app because it is easy to draw on and there are so many different things you can do with it!! This app Is even better then some of the apps you pay money for. One of the ways I used this app for is to draw a portrait for art class and it helped me out a lot. Some people in there future response said they would use it more if there was a mirror tool. But there is a mirror tool they just did not figure out how to see it or use it.

Keeps crashing. I usually don’t write reviews but this time I felt compelled to do so. I used Painter before and things were great. The brushes were cool and I enjoyed it. So when the new updates came I was excited and I started a new project. However the software kept crashing every time I put my pencil to a layer. At first it happened occasionally but now every layer but one for some reason will crash as soon as I put my pencil to it. Since this started happening, two updates to fix bugs were posted and I downloaded them. Still no improvement. I closed the app and opened it, rebooted my iPad and even update the iOS. Still the same issue. Painter is a great software with a lot of potential and can compete with Procreate. However, if these problems persist then it would be unusable. I’m going to export my drawing to Procreate now to be able to finish it. And I suppose I will stick with Procreate until this issue has been addressed by the developer. I think I am being generous to give it two stars. Update Oh, I tried to save the file as a PSD file so I can open it in Procreate and realized that the only format for layers is a painter format (not .riff which I could use). So the drawing I was working for days on is wasted. Great job, guys! Dropping my rating. Please fix this.

Excellent, versatile app. I have used Infinite Painter for several months now and I enjoy it immensely. It has the versatility to edit photographs, but, it also a huge selection of brushes to paint and sketch with. It has a kink or two here and there, but, it is a good solid app that is very powerful if you know how to use it. I will say that it takes some time to learn all the things it can do basically because it is so versatile and has so many tools and brushes. That being said, it also has the most extensive users manual and reference guide that I’ve ever seen. You can find anything that you need to find and study to learn it’s usage. An excellent app that continues to get even better.

Good app but needs some improvements. I really like this app it’s fun and everything but I wish it had color match and it asked you if your sure you wanted to delete your artwork instead of if you hit the delete button it just deletes. I’ve had 3 pieces deleted accidentally and one of them I was working for over 2 hours. It can be very frustrating when you work hard on something and accidentally delete it. And if you can see every color you used. I was doing a skin tone and I have you color it over like 2/3 time it was very frustrating or if I’m trying to do hair and I change the color to see if there is a better one or if I go back and add on I can’t find the color I used. Again it’s a g ood app but needs some improvements. Take this into a consideration and think it through. I bet you can find a better app. This is something I drew

Pay again for iPad version?. This would have been a five star rating, but it just pisses me off that I have to pay *again* for the full version of an app, after I already paid for on my iPhone. I get that app development ain’t easy, or profitable especially today. But, c’mon guys, there isn’t even an option to pay the $3 difference between iPhone ($6.99) and iPad ($9.99) versions?!?! I’m especially upset because this app was one of the few reasons I was super excited to break in the new iPad I got for x-mas, only to find out the Grinch had stolen my holiday: logging into my account I expected to see all my previous projects from my iPhone waiting for me. Whomp whomp! What a bummer! Am still not convinced these developers deserve another ten bucks from me, which is really sad. The distinct tools, handling of vector paths, and unrivaled sharpness of pixel-based brushes set this app apart from the competition, but I might just have to make do with what Adobe chooses to grace the lowly starving artists whom can only afford the non-subscription version of Fresco. 😖🤬

Super underrated app. I’m pretty new to this digital game. From the two other apps that I’ve used, I gotta say this is the most comprehensive and easiest to use drawing app. Love the fact that you can crate your own brushes and edit them extensively. My favorite part is how you can kind of pin the color palette anywhere on the drawing and not have to go into the menu every time you want to change colors. Other awesome feature is the ability to resize and manage opacity of brushes with the three finger drag. My only beef with this app is the inability to just type text. If there’s a way to do this, let me know and I’ll give the 5 stars. But I’ve googled this matter and haven’t been able to find anything. Thanks for this awesome app. Hope you can add a text feature on this, if it doesn’t exist.

Great engine but needs support. Infinite Painter is one of the best art apps available out there and for those with a focus on painting, will most likely meet your needs. The brush engine is impressive, delivering realistic and fast strokes with fairly robust and granular controls. It comes equipped with really useful tools to help you out in desigin-related creation for precise and realistic rendering. UI is simple and easy to use, allowing you to access tools and controls quickly for a smooth workflow. However, it takes some exploration to learn how to use all this, and this is Infinite Painter’s greatest weakness. There’s little to no guidance on how exactly to use this app. Sure, basic things are explained to you, but those things are intuitive anyways. So many things are just never discussed. Pinning tools, canvas manipulation, deeper brush controls/parameters, all this stuff has to be discovered through trial and error. I’ve flipped the canvas vertically before and couldn’t find a way to turn it back over. Took forever to get it back and it happened by accident. Occurred a few times before I figured out what I was doing. I certainly hope this continues to be developed out because as of right now, it’s a great tool but needs to be pushed further to become truly excellent. Learning materials, more explanatory UI, and greater apple pencil integration would really take this a long way. Still, it’s a powerful tool as is.

Best painting app of all time. I have tried so many painting drawing and sketching writing apps and this one is the best I’ve tried I’ve tried paint work, drawling desk, and so many others but they have never been as good as this one. This game has so many cool features it has symmetry which is like put a line down the middle and you draw on one side and whatever you do on that side it does the same to the other side like if you want to draw a perfect heart you draw half of a heart on one side and then I repeats it on the other side if you want to draw a set of eyes you draw one eye and then it repeats it on the other side I don’t know what you could possibly do to make this app better it is the best it’s so legit and it’s the best I’ve ever tried.

The only app I can use. I love this app but it has bugs that I’m not sure they’ll ever fix. I saved multiple files on the app and logged out when I logged back in everything was destroyed so please back up!!! It’s unfair that I can’t access my work. Also sometimes I try to save and it shows multiple files have been saved it fixes itself but also it will literally relocate a file in a different folder so it’s obnoxious to deal with. But, unfortunately I tried out the other painting and drawing apps and i can’t stand the technicalities and advance settings on the brushes for the other softwares. This app is perfect for my drawing style it’s simple to use I draw because it’s fun I’m self taught and this app satisfies my needs. But please fix the bugs!!! It’s as if the developer doesn’t use the app themselves because it’s an ongoing issue.

Better than procreate. I love this app so much this is literally better than procreate in procreate you have to pay but this one is just so free free free and I actually was trying to find a really good app for a drawing because I just got a pencil for my iPad so if you got a pencil for your iPad and you want to use it because you know don’t just waste money bu I still wanted to try this app so I got this app and I thought of so it’s going to be not free and you have to pay fired after you see it and having a wonderful experience with this app I am in love with this app this app is so good I will use it every time I draw or sketch or color and you can actually take some tik tok what does happen you know does glow ups for Disney princess this is the app this is perfect this is the best app you can ever find for trying and I really like this app so make sure you get this house and I really really like this so much

Great app but not for young artists and you have no idea where anything is at. This is a wonderful app for drawing and letting you’re thoughts flow free but it is not a good drawing app for beginners it leans more towards professionals than beginners and not just kids I’m talking about if an adult or teen started then it be the same I would recommend this game to people that are good at drawing but beginners I’ve saw and I myself can only draw lines and also you know where nothing is it has 0 instructions and I’ve had this game for like 5 months and still can’t figure out what the pens and markers and everything you need to use is I know it’s on the place where it says on it but I don’t know what there like it takes me a long time to figure it out so overall this is a good app but one it’s not good for beginners and two it give barley any instructions

Hands down my favourite iPad painting app. Lifelong and professional creative; I jumped from 20 years with Wacom and desktops to an iPad about a year ago. Having tried all of the top tier apps and even some of the more obscure, after giving them all a thorough run, Infinite Painter is my go-to. Procreate is fine, but a bit gimmicky, ArtStudio Pro is excellent but a bit generalist (Photoshop clone; jack of all trades). Infinite Painter really is all about painting. Aside from having virtually every tool one could need for 2d art, lots of little touches throughout make all the difference. My favourite might be the luminance lock in the colour picker. So small a detail, but really helpful. Some might complain about a lack of support for Photoshop brushes, but honestly think that would be a downgrade from the very natural, sophisticated tools already included. My only nitpicks are the touch colour picker isn't offset, so my finger obscures what is being selected, and the swatch gives no context/comparison between the previous and new colours. If I really wanted to dig deep, I could say the interface for downloading community brushes lacks any organisation or search, but I'm satisfied with the given brushes and my own customs, so not an issue. Seriously…as near perfect a painting software as one could hope. And for a guy who has handed over thousands to Adobe and the various owners of Painter over two decades, this app feels a right steal at such a low price. 👍👍

Amazing but needs a double side copy thingy. I love this app and use it WAAAY more than ibis paint but I would use it all the time if there was a mirror tool, basically meaning that if you draw on one side it copies the opposite way on the opposite side. When I am making heads, body’s, etc it is hard to equalize it on both sides. That’s when I go to ibis paint. Compared to ibis paint, this app has a much simpler setup and is easy to use, especially with a stylus or Apple Pencil. I can understand why the developer(s) wouldn’t incorporate this feature in since this app is trying to make it as organic as physical art. Another thing is it’d be nice to have 4 layers instead of 3, because 3 layers can only fit the outline, the skin, and the clothing, but with 4 you could also fit hair and hats. What I don’t like about some of the reviews that are low star is that when for example, they say they are being kicked from the app or cannot draw, but they also say the have a new device, that usually means they have a new device, but it is not a very good device. I would say 5/5 if it weren’t for the layers situation. I honestly can understand the mirror feature, but the layer limit is a little annoying sometimes.

This is the Procreate alternative.. 2022: At last! No subscription! Thanks to the developers for that. I was gone for a while just because of that and a friend told me about how good Infinite Painter has become, so I try it again. Other than a couple of bugs founded. This is by far the best alternative for Procreate. I’ve been using both and I don’t have a favorite now. Both are powerful and feels great. Infinite Painter offer more tools, kind of a desktop app while Procreate focused on illustration without distractions. I think that if the developers fix the bugs, this will be better than Procreate. Just not yet. Old comment: This app is by far the best app for an illustrator. It has all the tools we as creator needs to achieve our vision. Sad is the case of greed and desperation that the dev gently placed a time bomb inside this beautiful app disguised as a subscription plan. Instead of selling addons or brushes or helping tools for a price he demand a monthly payment for a drawing tool. That way this app moves away from the path of winners letting the throne to Procreate.

Amazing, but a few problems.. This app is wonderful. Really! The brushes are amazing and easy to use, and it’s great for simple sketches or complex artworks. I also think that even without the pro version it works just as well, and you can still create a masterpiece. My only problem is that, I was making hair on a character and the brush randomly stopped working the same way. This was one I had downloaded but it had been working fine before. I reset the brush and deleted it and downloaded it again but it still would not go back to normal. Overall a AMAZING app and I would suggest this to anyone who is a fellow artist, or just someone who wants to do some art. Thank you!

Most satisfying feeling to use; frustratingly unstable.. Often when resizing or playing with layer effects the layers will glitch out and I'll lose a chunk of the image, or things will randomly merge. Sometimes the undoes will glitch out and merge undone things with things I wanted to keep...hard to explain. This isn't a game breaker but it does interrupt the flow when it requires me to jump to Procreate for advanced features. There's a lot of cool stuff in this app and it feels very natural and mostly intuitive. I wish the UI were more customizable with positions. Sometimes it refuses to open canvases if I make them to large...just crashes. If it were more stable and more customizable it'd be a killer app imo. Procreate definitely holds stability and community support over this unfortunately.

Disappointed. I was excited to find an app to create digital art as i had been searching for a while. When i first downloaded everything was fine but after a while i found out i had to pay if i wanted to access layers. This was very disappointing and i have now continued with my what seems to be endless journey in digital art.

Not the best tutorial and add some things…. I love this app but it took me around an hour to really understand it because I didn’t get much info on my tutorial but I recommend this app. Now my second thing is can painter add a ruler I could never get my lines straight like I want it to be ( I draw by my finger) Good job painter

Great app until...crash.. Infinite Painter was my absolute favourite app until the recent update. Now, I can’t even do anything without the app crashing. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times, yet this did not work either. Please fix this, I really love this app and I really want to use it. It is really disappointing that this happened.

Best brushes for comics. Inking with this app is super fun and natural. I highly recommend it.

Make a infinite zoom features. That’s it

It’s amazing!. Most app like this you need to pay to do anything well not this app, this app is perfect if you just like to doodle and play around or if you want to do a presentation.

Ok. I like this app but some features you need to buy it which is ok but I like how it gives you a lot of brush’s to paint or draw with It like a free procreate.

Has great potential but crashes to much. It crashed after I used it for 5 minutes on my iPad, it seemed like a really useful art app with all the brushes but is crashed to many times to try all of them I hope you fix this problem soon Regards A fellow artist

BAD APP. I thought this app would be fun but it’s ANNOYING! You have to pay for more layers and when I changed the color of the pen it said ‘selected layer is not visible’. The pen wasn’t even the same color of the page!!!!!! I am finding a better app

Review. This app is really cool!! My only concern is that there is no automatic blending tool if you guys added that it would be much much much easier! I do recommend this app

It’s a good app. Its really good, but we should not have to pay, that is kinda annoying so after I finish my assessment ima delete it

Pretty decent.. Maybe not so much for professional artists, but can be used for that. Nice variety of tools, not too overwhelming. Recommended for artists (more hobbyists) who can’t afford art apps that cost money.

I used to love it. I have no idea why you would take away the fact that basically everything is free. For someone who used to spend hours on it I can officially saying I’m deleting it. I for one am very mad!😡

Layers. Please add more free layers, I am a broke artist and can not afford premium. To the developers please make 6-10 free layers as this will make people more happy about your app and make more people download it.

I love this app but....😒😒😒. This app is amazing and the only thing that I have a problem with is that every time I was using different brushes thing app would shut down PLEASE FIX NOW

Really impressive!. I love this app! I paid for the full version after getting a new iPad Pro for drawing only. I tested it against Procreate, Sketchbook and Fresco and this one came first for several reasons. It’s as feature rich as Procreate but it’s UI is much better, in my opinion, as it gives quicker access to the features than pc. Highly recommended!

HELP DEVELOPERS. It’s a great app but I can’t see the setting to adjust the size of my eraser no matter how much I try to find it so please help!!!

Renae’s Reveiw. I love this app. It’s kind of annoying about the subscription, although I get that you want people to spend money on your app. I think this is a great app for children like me. Despite the not being able to fill things in, this app is one of the best drawing apps I have had. Can’t wait to see more apps like this in the future.

Love this but .... I really do like this app, but I find myself hovering between Procreate and Paint. I do the majority of the artwork in Paint but sometimes need the special abilities of Procreate. This is mainly because sometimes I need to include text which I can distort, place and angle how I wish. If you can add this feature it would be just about perfect. Its such a straightforward, easy to learn app and I recommend it to anyone.

Rlly good drawing app. I use this a lot because it has loads of different types of materials to draw from So I recommend this app.

I love this app, but.... I adore this app. I would chose this program over procreate any day of the week. The interface is easy to work around, the tools useful and the brushes, ohhh the brushes! My favourites are the pencil brushes, hands down. However, I do chose procreate over this program regularly because this program is plagued with instability issues. I have had files corrupt right in front of my eyes, the program crash because I tapped a layer and now that layer is gone. Layers not layering properly, layers disappearing/deleting itself. Thank god for the history system because without it, I would have lost hours upon hours of work due to file corruption, more than once. Speed paints, I am lucky if they save. Program crashes regularly and without warning. It does not like big files, or lots of layers, in my experience nor does it like when you resize a canvas. These all hold me back from using this program to the extent I would like, I do come back and use it because I prefer it over procreate. However, I find that I hold my breath every time it crashes and I am extremely weary not to do anything extensive in the program in case it corrupts my files (again). I love this program and I didn’t have nearly as much issues with it before it’s big update. But after the big update, I’ve had issues upon issues. I recommend it to any who want to try, but be aware that it is currently an unpolished gem.

Not amazed.... I’m using the free version and so far wouldn’t upgrade to the full one. First off; Why the hell does this app crash half the time? I keep loosing sections of my paintings, so now I can’t trust it at all. Second; the app provides a Lock, but it stops working the minute you return to the painting. Third; the brushes and brush edits are pretty ordinary IMO. The UI is great tho, but it’s a no from me. :-(

Most underrated app. This is by far the best I have used in the art apps highly recommend it

I love the app. This app I would highly recommend it is an fun and easy game to play and yes I know most people will be like wow this is cringing but it is true! Hope you will enjoy this app as much as I did! 😝

At first it was alright, but then it got worse. When I first downloaded this app, I was quite happy with all the amazing features, and it allowed me to create art much easier. However, little did I know this was the 7-day free trial. Now, I understand that profits have to come from somewhere, however I think that Infinite Painter should at least let you access layers. Perhaps you can begin with maybe 3 layers (?) and have to pay premium to unlock more. I hope that this can hopefully be changed as I greatly enjoy using this app and this would make things a lot easier. Thanks

Love the brushes and stuff and pls read. Love a lot of this stuff on this if your looking to use awesome graphics and brushes download this app but I also have a problem it won’t let me SAVE it won’t le me SAVE the pick I have made and I’m kinda getting a bit more on the agrovated side sorry if this makes no sese but it just won’t let me save if love if you could tel me how to thabks BYEE!

So easy to navigate. I find it so easy to navigate the tools, it’s very intuitive for me and didn’t take much extra effort to learn. I do wish it didn’t drop out so much with certain actions but still, makes illustrating a breeze and I love its functionality and prefer this over " procreate. I would love it to offer videos of tips on how to use mask and cut out tools, rather then just written instructions, which I don’t seem to learn from but that’s me.

Love it❤️❤️. I am in love with this app because it has whatever u need to be a artist! I rly love this and I recommend everyone to use this but there is something... u have to pay for this at first it’s for free but now whenever I want to add a layer it asks for money but I would surely recommend this!

Good App. This app is very good if you don’t want to pay for procreate and works the best with an apple pen or other device pens etc.

Before was crappy but now it’s awesome. Now this app is the best, it has almost all the features an artist would want and I’d give this a 5 star if guys added these 3 things: 1)A brush or setting that blends colours at even when at full opacity. 2)An option for mesh, liquify(procreate lol), expand and recolouration and make them undoable by each action. 3)A customisable ui(user interface) like as in change the order of the tools from top to bottom, choose which buttons go up to the column on the top and which goes down, have your tools right in the middle of your screen(for some random reason etc.

LOVE the chalk pen. It brings out my calligraphy so well. This is as close as it gets to what I write on paper. Can’t find a brush on procreate that could make me write as well (or yet to create one myself)

A bit annoying. I love this app but you have to pay for the full version which is annoying because I thought it was gonna be free but it is still fun to doodle and draw!

Annoying. I hate this app because whenever I try to draw a long line it goes thin, no matter what is do it goes thin, no long even line can be made in this app

Good but.... You should make the pro version free, because I really want to experience the full ability of this app but, sadly, I can’t :( I really would have given it 5 star.

Awesome!!!❤️💕😀. It's great! I just got an apple pencil so I went to find some apps so I could do some sketches and this one was free and had great ratings! I tried it out and its' perfect! Now I can use tools I've never had! I wish it had some drawing tutorials though,

Best app!. I have looked EVERYWHERE for a drawing app that gives you lots without having to pay for pro! Thank you so much for making this app, would definitely recommend to anyone who’s into drawing online!

Tap the star 5 out of 5. This game is amazing you should get it come on get the game it is so much fun

It’s all I ever wanted, it’s all I ever needed!. Seriously, the title says it all. The only regret is I didn’t get the larger iPad oh and I didn’t try this sooner. I used to jump between a handful of apps, now I pretty much use this 100%. I’ve been recommending it to everyone (remember someone had that friend who insisted you watch breaking bad?) I’m that guy but with this app!. It took very little time before I was dancing around the pallets like a seasoned expert. A double 👍👍 to the developers who instead of making ‘An app’ made ‘an app for me’. I’m actually using it this moment in the park on a cool day.

Good but crashes constantly. Great features and well implemented. I tend to use it more than procreate due to it having more features in line with drawing on pc. However I think it’s unreasonable to spend money unlocking features when it crashes if you have as many as 5 layers at times. I’m using a new Air 4 and I don’t use it for much else, file sizes are around 2300x1600 with rarely more than 5-10 layers. Don’t charge extra for features when you haven’t even fixed basic issues with it not functioning properly.

Great potential. This app has been of interest to me for a long time. The authors have made excellent design decisions. The proko brush is absolutely perfect. Long time illustrator here, could not design a better brush. Procreate has very frustrating implementation of gradients and that’s why I am shopping around. This app does a much, much better job. However there are some serious issues. First, the tools at the top, particularly the smudge tool, conflict with the iPad split screen button. As a result its hard to press it. Secondly there have been reports of crashes and corrupting. I have not experienced it but it scares me to dedicate this as my main app.

FANTASTIC!. I am absolutely blown away by this phenomenal app! I have grown to love Procreate, but I was pleasantly surprised by the power of this Painter app, and it has many things Procreate lacks - like hue jitter for brushes, just one little example. And the ability to make your artwork seamless, regardless of the canvas size - by using tiles, etc - I can’t do that even in Photoshop. The more you explore the app, the more treasures you will find. I dare to say this has replaced Procreate for me much of the time. A giant THANK YOU to the developer/s - and keep up the good work!

DOWNLOAD NOW. Ok, for starters, it’s free, unlike procreate, and it is so much alike and better too! all the brushes are free and there is so much you can do! And for the artists that need a reference, they do let you do that, as well as layering! It’s amazing, please get it!!! Bye!🩷🫶🏽

Amazing. Warning: apple pencil 2 options only include flipping the canvas or filling it to full screen. You cant set it to go to previous tool or eraser as per system settings/other apps. The brush engine is amazing and the shortcuts make drawing a breeze - 3 finger opacity/size is probably the best thing ever. The only thing that annoys me is that this app seems super sensitive to my palm touches. I just double checked and there’s no option to ignore finger touches like other competing apps. This is the only thing stopping me enjoying this app, otherwise it would be perfect. The canvas moves way too much. Update: i updated to the ipad pro with apple pencil 2 and i had to drop my rating on this app. The palm sensitivity issue still exists, but the worst thing is that there isnt any support for double taps on the apple pencil 2 to switch to eraser/etc. Just had to switch back to procreate just for that. Huge warning if youre on apple pencil 2! 2021 update: still no support for double tap to switch to eraser on apple pencil 2 lol. Super disappointed, still hanging out to use this app again after 8 months. Maybe I should have never upgraded to the better pencil so i wouldnt be disappointed? Dropping another few stars with this update i guess, still absolutely would love to use this app but its unusable still for me.

Almost perfect. A really impressive app which feels more like actual painting than any other. I’d have given it 5 stars if the icons were able to be scaled up or their colour changed. White doesn’t work, and minuscule is too small. Please fix if it’s possible and thanks - I use it in my teaching program and the students love it.

Best game ever!. So I only got this game today and I can already tell you it is amazing. Easy to navigate tools you need and others. Everything and artist would want is in this app and I am most certain I’d choose this over procreate.I myself have been going through art apps and this has to be my favorite! I was going to give up after procreate thing it was the only good one out there but when I found this my life is going to change, also to any viewers reading this I also highly recommend picsart

I love it!!. It’s very cool and the amount of tools is amazing. I wish I could send you the one I made

Really fun brings back my memory!. I used to use this very very nice app until I accidentally deleted it, hah :( All though i missed it i forgot about it. Until i saw it pop up, I immediately got the amazing app! Thanks owner!

This app rules!!!. The amount of helpful tools is amazing and the brushes wow this is great!!!

💛💛. I love it it’s so exact I really recommend this app for artist and really good drawers

iPhone 5 PROBLEM. This app is really good BUT for some reason I can’t make a new (Canvas thing) when I try it makes me put a title which is fine but when I press done it doesn’t work and I’ve tried pretty much everything to get it to work but it doesn’t so if you could fix this that would be VERY MUCH appreciate thank you for your time

A shame. Price it’s accesible. The pencil are amazing, with the shaders and such, it has gradients which procreate has always has had issues with, interface its pretty customizable... like For 14can I don’t have many complains BUT critically it crashes every time I try to export in psd. It’s not a large format and it has only 6 layers so it’s not heavy either. Please fix this as it demerits what is an amazing job otherwise.

It’s okay.... It’s I really good app, but my only complaints is how undo and redo is hard to see, and how there is no solid brush or paint. They all have gaps in them, which makes tracing a real pain. Other then that, really well made.

Amazing. The best app ever! I just love it. Super helpfull. I’m felling using my real pencil, the effects are amazing. I don’t know how people just give low score for this app. Amazing!

Great could do better. A great free app but some things you need to pay for but it’s fine the good over powers the bad

The best drawing App. This is so far my best experience with any drawing app. The best features offered! The variety of pens, settings, pages, options and also timelapse recording. Thank you to the developers! ❤️

Like it. There are many features I like, especially the lasso brush tool. I used procreate and art studio but now I am using this one.

Ugh. don’t buy this it’s bad and I’m on iPhone just don’t buy it it’s really bad

It’s good and bad. I kinda wished layers were free because layers are very important like very but you have to pay. But other than that I rlly like it and it’s just procreate but u have to pay for more brushes but there is a very big selection of brushes

DONT UPLOAD. I used to use this app and it was great but now you have to pay for layers and everything so now this app is so useless. DON’T GET THIS APP THERE ARE NO LAYERS OR ANYTHING UNLESS YOU PAY!!!

Great Procreate alternative. Very user friendly, Excellent brush engine and selection. I wish it also had a Mac version.

Fix crashes!. Keeps crashing! Please fix! Crashes now when opening older projects.

Like painting in Real life. - The most analog painting and drawing app I have experienced since going digital. The brushes feel the most organic right out of the gate (Where I’ve had to spend a bit of money on Procreate brushes to get the ones I’ve been looking for). Something about the interface too that I really enjoy, it’s just feels intuitive to me.

You have to pay for some. On the layers you have to pay for more after a certain number of them

Can improve. I really like using this app but I don’t like the fact the you need to pay for 3+ Layers. That was probably not one of the smartest choices but if you could change that I would for sure give you a 5 star rating! Apart from that this app is amazing and I totally recommend downloading it. :)

Cool. You can do want do you want that a really cool game! Im on iPad ans on iPad , that super good!!

One important thing that needs attention. lazy option for lasso just like infinite paint . Please can u add this function and make infinite painter for IOS also. My top most favourite art app. Hands of to you guys. ❤️

Awesome!. This painter app is great for beginners even without the premium so I give it a 10/10

Animation. If they could put in some animation tools, this would be my go too. Love drawing with Painter.

Ferme sans préavis. Très bien mais depuis la dernière version l’app ferme sans arrêt très déçu c’était mon appli préférer

Layers. It is an amazing app! But there is the fact that you have to pay for more than three layers, it’s very difficult and annoying to try to squish a drawing in on one layer, but amazing app other than that, it just brings it to a stop after the payment for the more layers, i made some good art but that still is a downfall,

Ugh!!!!!. It’s an amazing app to draw with but it won’t let me start a new project. Any time I go to make a new one it won’t put down the keyboard after I press done! So frustrating 😡 I’m on an I phone!

It’s good but bad. It’s like procreate but after awhile I HAVE TO PAY?!? it’s rigged😡

Art. I love this app so much it works so well and it’s free I’ve created so many pictures and my social media website on it and I love it I absolutely recommend it is for free

Easier to draw on. I fined this app very easy to draw on but there is always improvements to be made.

Can’t save. When I try to save a drawing a keyboard pops up and I click “ done “ and nothing happens it is not my internet so please move the done button somewhere else and I am on iPhone

Great and straight to the point. A great free app. Could get lots of projects done. If skilled enough you can use the 3 free layers, also to buy full version is not very expensive but not needed, Thanks for the great app

amazing. this app is really good and I don't mind the paying I just use the free brushes!👌

Amazing. Free procreat and it’s great for drawing, tou can add layers and everything. In love *lip bite*

Perfect!. I love this app! Its so great! Im on ipad and it works really well! I can make new projects super easy! Its great!❤️

Crashes constantly. I spent the money to unlock all options, but now it crashes all the time. I’d rather not lose hours of work.

Better brushfeel and feature set than procreate. Absolutely love this app. My go to mobile sketchbook.

Fantastic. I have downloaded tons of apps for digital drawing and this is by far the best. Most were good but really didn’t have the kind of opportunities that this one does. I love that you can make custom brushes and use multiple layers. Definitely the best free app I have used for art. Love it 10/10 even if you do have to pay for somethings.

YOU NEED TO PAY😡😡. Before I used to love this app so much and now you need to pay for layers and features that wasn’t need to pay before and this breaks my heart because people are saying it’s just like procreate and Brushes was so good to but now i,m upset fix this!

Infinite painter. Best drawing app I’ve ever used

Disappearing layers and lines. I love the drawing tools and everything on this app more than Procreate… but it seems the app is unstable. I noticed layers and lines I drew randomly disappeared. I tested with a few saved projects and imported old projects. Seems like it is an ongoing bug. Please fix.

Great price for a powerful app. Superb pencil brushes.. This is a professional caliber app, with everything you need to get started in the free version and a very reasonable price for the full version. The app has great depth, with some features only pros will appreciate, such as colour management and robust import export formats. I use both Procreate and Fresco professionally and, like those apps, Infinite Painter has strengths and weaknesses. Even though it’s not perfect, it’s so much bang for the buck I can’t give it less than 5/5 A few of my observations: GOOD (some examples) • Default brush set is excellent. • Very intuitive to just get started sketching • Lots of handy tutorials in-app • Robust shape and line assist with innovative implementation • Stroke response on brushes is great • Color model support NOT SO GREAT • Tools palette icons and text are tiny - they’re almost illegible This really needs to change - it’s a major work slow down. • Features beyond basic sketching not so intuitive and take too much figuring out. e.g. > Copy and paste is a mystery until you figure it out > Copy and paste a 3 step process > Non-standard terms used (e.g., “Copy” called “Clipboard”) That gets confusing. • Paste doesn’t paste at the same size as copied by default. Boo. • No keyboard support for basic standard commands. WISH LIST: • Infinite canvas. • Keyboard support • More standardized terminology and more expected behaviours to make it more uasble for those of us that use many apps professionally. • Larger interface text! Seriously! All in all, though, a huge amount of capability for a few bucks.

Broken and Crashing on M1 iPad. This app is completely unpredictable and broken. It crashes constantly while doing even basic things, and will frequently do bizarre things like scale layers randomly or undo things by itself. I would absolutely not recommend this app.

I don’t really know. It was an amazing app until it said I have to pay for layers, layers are really important and without them I can’t really draw.

Can’t restore. How do you restore…the link doesn’t worl

Awesome. This app works well, beats my expectations. I use the Adonit note + stylus and it works well, only complaint I have is the two buttons on the stylus are disabled and cannot be enabled. Not sure if that’s an app problem or Adonit problem.

I love it!. I love this app, all brushes are free ( I think ), it allows for good sized canvases in free mode and even larger in the paid version but I wish I could use the app to animate, and one thing I think makes no sense is that the horizontal mirror is paid yet the vertical one is free and the vertical one can be rotated to be a horizontally so it just makes 0 sense, overall great app

You cant do anything without paying. there are no tools you can use, like at all. Theres only a fill tool, that’s it, you used to be able to use like resize or ruler, but in a recent uptade the whole app turned into pay to draw. I can even say FlipaClip is better for drawing (with the free tools).

Basically procreate tbh. Just free version completely recommend. No im not a bot i say ok boomer!

Sa aurait pue être mieux. Si il y avait plus de choix pour le mode page et d’autres gratuit tout le monde aurait pris cette app

Fun. It’s so fun I let my sibling draw with it bc she loves drawing Thanks for all the fun

REVIEW. So I got the app and I was tryna use it today but I kept on tapping on it but it was kicking me out now I’m trying to download it now and it’s not working

Uh. So why do we have to pay for more layers like us artists need our layers :/

It’s a pretty nice app 😊. It’s nice but it’snot a regular one but 😊👍🏻

Perfect. This app is perfect it is sort of like procreate. It is a little difficult to do some stuff but other than that it’s perfect.

Am I the only one? Luv the app tho. Ok so I love this app and I’ve only have it for not even a day and I used it for a project but now I can’t adjust my color and I can even draw! When I’m drawing I want to adjust the color and this little circle with a bunch of colors pop up! And I can’t seem to get it of so it’s a huge stress to get it off and I literally hit my phone because of it! Please just tell me how to get it off my responding I really need to make my bff a pic of us for her bday! I really need this, hope you find time to respond. Other wise great game 💓💓💓

Great app but something wrong. I love this app but I wish that you don’t have to pay for the layers! So what I have to do is sketch then go on my other drawing app with layers then do line art, and then color it! When you get it you get a free trial correct? But I used it all the time until the trail was done for, I am a Art my self and I draw dragons, and I want to color and add detail to it in this app but I can’t because of the layers! Also the details you have to buy though’s to! So it is very frustrating that you have to pay for it. Have a great day/night/morning.

Really clean and intuitive interface. I am not an artist by trade, and have used procreate to do my amateur drawings and doodles. While procreate definitely has a lot of bells and whistles nonfinite draw does as well, but brings them in a very intuitive package. The user interface is mostly bare, but you can customize it to display the tools you like, and very little tapping around with the pencil gets you to tools and adjustments you want. I’m now use this primarily to sketch and practice, as the fluid and focused interface really lets me not worry about how to get to the tooling. I also love how you can Import an image to a floating reference layer. Such a cool app that keeps surprising me.

Amazing app but needs improvement. So this app is truly amazing it has so many different options to draw on and it has mirror drawing which I love. But there are so many other things that could be improved for example when you want to do tracing you need to pay to add another page. WHY?? And when you are done with you painting there is always ads that take a really long time to get rid of other than that this drawing app is really good I started playing when I was five an now I am thirteen but I would really like a Christmas update.

Great app. I absolutely love the brushes on this app, I constantly use this app to draw my outlines, I have yet to actually draw and color on this app, I use Procreate for that but I just might have to try it out more. At first (for me) it was hard to maneuver around the app and figure what is what lol but you get the hang of it. I feel like the developers have something really great going on here, I hope they continue to develop more for this app because so far I truly love it. [update review] it crashes on me a lot, sometimes the brushes don't work and also i have to press the undo button several times before it even works... bummed that the app is getting worse 😞 I was enjoying this app... [Update 11/19] the app has gotten worse, I barely use it now. Now I can't add layers when I should be able to, it only allows me to draw on one layer. I guess back to just using procreate.

Sooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I’m in love with this app but,I have one thing that I can say that can be fixed but it’s not that big I wish that you could search characters like Snoopy or Charlie Brown because I tried it and I had a little bit of trouble otherwise I love this app if you read the review of every single person on this app probably take a long time but if you read my review it’s pretty short and you can read it in like three minutes if you guys could respond to me that would be great and I will use your app if not that’s OK but I really hope you can respond to this review thank you!.🤗😜🤪😝😛😋😆😄😃😀😊🤗

Great app, comes with a few flaws. When I first came across this app, I was amazed by the vast selection of brushes and how many features there were. The only problem I had then was how hard I had to press with some of the “weirder” brushes. It wasn’t a big problem for me, though, because I stuck with using a typical solid pen for the most part. When my free trial ended, I didn’t think much about it at first, but when I tried to view my reference, which was on a different layer, a pop-up appeared saying I had to pay for these features, including layers. Layers are a pretty basic thing, so having to pay doesn’t seem rational. This was the main reason I rated it 3 stars. If you can draw with only one layer, then I definitely recommend Painter. This app just wasn’t for me.

✨✨. This app is absolutely amazing!! Omg!! I use it for drawing on my phone when I don’t have my tablet. It has a free trial of the full version and when that’s up, it’s really cheap compared to other programs. The brushes are easy to use, the stabilization is just 👌👌👌 chef’s kisss. And the brush customization is really good compared to other apps I have used. Sketchbook, procreate, etc. this is way better than those. If they created a drawing software for computers, I can guarantee it would be my main program. I use clip studio paint, and ngl, I’d want this instead of csp for my computer. This app is just really good. And idk why not a lot of people know about it

Great but can be better.. So I love this app. I downloaded it on a whim and also to have other alternatives to procreate. And this app didn’t completely disappoint. My biggest issues are the location of the undo button. It kinda blends in with the page if your working with a white background and zoom in. A few times I had to pause and squint to find it. Another issues is the pens pressure. I like using the Manga ink pen but if I use it than use the shape edit tool by holding down when I start drawing again the size comes out as a big blob even if I’m lighting drawing a new line. Other than that it’s a pretty dope app that can use a few touch ups.

Amazing app, but huge complication!! 😰. As an app that provides a lot of tools that provides a realm of infinite possibilities, I really appreciate what it offers! Unfortunately there’s something very wrong. I had finished an artwork that I had spent time on, I saved it, the art looks the same in the gallery (All is well!). When I open the artwork up from the app’s gallery however, the artwork itself is distorted. As if the translation tool had a party all over the art’s layers. It’s very troubling, and I worry that my art will forever look okay in the gallery, but look messed up when I open it up again. I don’t know if it’s the multiple layers functionality, or maybe a bug even. Please, if there is a way to solve this problem, please let me know! Thank you

Better than Procreate!. I’ve been doing professional illustration and digital painting in Procreate for about 5 years, and I never thought I’d find something so much better. Infinite Painter makes it a lot easier to work with shapes and masks. As a result it makes my workflow much more similar to how I would work with real paint: cutting friskets or using masking fluid, applying textures, and building up color organically. Really impressive feature set and brush presets that behave the way you’d want them to. This is the closest thing to Painter 6 as you can get on the iPad (O.G. digital artists will know what I’m talking about!)

Very Powerful. Love it, brushes feel great. The only qualm I have is the color picker. You need to reach over to the left, and I’m right handed, to the swatch and drag it to your picture plane. Or if you choose to use the long touch method, the color may be sampled but the swatch doesnt update in real time. You will not know if the color picker sampled a color until you let go, and the swatch will update. I hope that this will get fixed. As a painter, these micro pauses in color logic slows the painting process down a bit. Other than that, I am really glad I discovered this app!

used to be great. This app was my absolute favorite. There was no payments and free trials it was just a good quality app that I enjoyed using. Before I was able to have multiple layer on my drawings and I had a unlimited tools but now I have to pay for these! I have tried so many art apps and they all wanted my money, but this was the only one that was considerate that people shouldn’t waste their money on virtual art. I am disappointed in the developers because they decided to beg for our money. Clearly they just wanted some attention for the free virtual art then they decided now that they have the public attention they will start begging for cash. It says in the description that they are not like the other apps such as procreate that you need to pay to use, but now they are blending in with society.

Great for digital painting (better than procreate in some ways). Has a lot of features not in other painting apps, including what many consider to be the industry standard, procreate. Just one of those features is the ability to isolate luminosity of colors when going around the color wheel. This can make it much easier to isolate your values when painting, so that you only have to worry about the right hue and saturation, because the program automatically keeps the right value, or luminosity of the color. The brush engine is more robust than procreate's in many ways, as well. I'm not super happy with the pricing model of this app, and neither are a lot of other users apparently (which is what the 4 stars reflect, I suspect). I would prefer to have a "full version" available to purchase so I don't have to deal with in app purchases, but I understand the developer's decision to go this route. I hope they keep listening to their user's feedback and developing the app, because, like I said, a lot of features that make digital painting more fun and faster can only be found in this app.

I absolutely adore this app. I absolutely love this app! It has some issues, but it was my very first drawing app and I tend to go to it even when some other application might be theoretically better suited, using it is just so comfortable. One small issue that I’ve noticed recently is that the ‘initial color jitter’ function in the brush creator has been misbehaving - it seems impossible to actually set it to zero sometimes, the brush’ll just keep having some initial color jitter no matter what, which can be frustrating for delicate tasks. That aside, it’s perfect.

Best app. This is in my mind the best digital painting app for iPad!!! The app is relatively straightforward to use with some shortcuts that need to be learned. The brushes look very traditional making your own brushes is easy and fun. You can easily make thick oil or acrylic like brushes with the structure setting, watercolor brushes, and rake brushes (which are particularly nice for blending). This app is much better than procreate in my mind especially when doing a traditional style, of course they are different and both are worth using. The app has been having an annoying issue where the draw curser that I put on doesn’t work and leads to it being harder to control brush strokes.

Great but.... I love this app, it truly is wonderful, but it keeps crashing. At the beginning of a project everything runs smooth but after a while of progress it just starts to go slower, it lags sometimes just a bit, and eventually just keeps crashing (usually when i try to merge layers, sometimes when i try to save or add a new layer). After the crashing starts, it just won’t stop. It’s very annoying and eventually I can’t continue because I run out of layers due to the limit, yet can’t merge cause of the crash. If you start a new project, you will not encounter this issue until you’re quite a few layers in. I’ve started multiple projects, yet have been unable to finish one cause of the crashes. Please, fix this. It’s very infuriating.

A Hidden Gem!. This app is probably the most fun and free flowing art app in the App Store. There is a crazy good brush engine and everything runs super smooth! I love the recording feature and with a few minor tweaks, this app can out perform Procreate. The only consistent problems I have are when my brush has a texture. If you use a textured brush then the color picker begins distorting the colors you picked. And also the recording comes out at a bad quality if it comes out at all. With really big and long files, the recording is less likely to save to my iPad. Please fix this because this is my favorite app

It’s just ok. The app is ok but at its price point after the trial. Ehh it’s a pass from me. Procreate does so much more at a similar price point.. I can’t really justify paying this price the only thing i feel it has over procreate is simplicity in the ui.. it is pretty easy to get going in the app. Where as procreate is a bit more complicated with its ui. However for me when i want simple i can just jump back to sketchbook pro for free and be just as satisfied. Infinite painter was fun to play with though i just wish the trial lasted a bit longer as my week was infiltrated by unexpected junk that caused me to forget about it a lot.. That being said. Don’t let what i say detour you from trying this app.. At the end of the day everything is all about personal preference.. the best tools for some might not be best tools for all.

Paying. I was using this app for about two months and even though it was a little buggy, I didn’t mind because a lot of the tools like symmetry, stamping, lasso, etc were all free. I stopped using it for a while and came back to draw some more only to see now that you have to pay to use all the tools and create layers which were all previously free? Why even do that lol. At this point, just make the app a paid one since you have to pay to even create new layers or find a better app that doesn’t get you to pay for everything halfway through. All this app needed was a little tweaks to stop it from being buggy and it would’ve been amazing. Won’t be using it anymore :/

Crashes constantly. It's crashed on me hundreds of times. would be great if it didn't completely wipe out beautiful works of art. I've never experienced an app so frustrating. The back button is completely detrimental to the work. It will crash on you each and every time. Don't think it will be ok because it absolutely will not be ok. It will totally ruin everything you're working on. At the worst possible moment. Just as you are finishing up .... The app will either leave a mark there that you won't be able to erase without ruining that layer or it will crash right after you've made a mistake, forcing you to save that mistake in place of the perfection you had before.

A big issue-. I love this app, I really really do. It’s such a good app compared to a lot of other art apps that I have tried. But there’s one huge issue: whenever I save a project to the photos on my phone or whenever I want to upload the project to anything such as Google Classroom, export the project, etc. the background of my project goes from white to black when I click on it after I’ve saved it to my photos or uploaded/exported it. I don’t know how to fix it and it is really getting annoying. I am not sure if it’s a bug or what. But if it is a bug, I would love for it to get fixed because this is a really good application for me to do things for my Art assignments. Please get this fixed or tell me how to fix it if it’s some sort of feature(that I can hopefully turn off).

Great app! I like the drawing engine better than Procreate!. Has lots of great features and customizable toolbar. The developer is always very responsive, too! This is my new go to... while the gestures for Procreate are nice having so many customizations are much more useful to my workflow. You can pin the Color wheel and Lasso tool etc to the screen for easy access! Only downside is it is a little slow to Open and Save files sometimes. It does seem to use more processing power than Procreate. New update is on the way (I hear) and I look forward to the new features including better clipping masks.

Amazing job ❤️❤️❤️. So I really love painter, it’s a very useful app and one thing that I really like about it is that you can take photos and then edit them and draw on them :0 It’s so useful for making photos for my friends to make em feel better 💌 and the fact that you can blend and there’s so many other brushes to use, and colors you can make to get the one you need !!!! It’s just an amazing app good job for whoever made this app your a really good designer 👩‍🎨 and since it’s ✨FREE✨ and I don’t have to pay for it, less money I need to give to my parents lol 😆 but in conclusion THIS APP IS AMAZING AND UTTERLY AWESOME AND USEFUL

Still garbage…. It’s been a over a year and despite supposed updates that improved stability, this app continues to disappoint. Infinite CRASH is a more apt title. Any attempt to use brushes to erase by thinning out a layer will inevitably, but unpredictably, result in a crash and loss of work. I’ve tried changing brushes, nope. Same thing happens when trying to blend. Eventually, the app will crash without warning and work will be lost. If I want to import images from my photos, if I scroll more that a couple of pages, crash. On and on it goes. It’s hard to believe that everyone else isn’t having similar problems. The app is excellent in many other ways but loss of work is an unforgivable flaw. As I’ve said before, if the thing was stable, I’d honestly pay a lot more.

Super cool but also not cool. I love this game so much! I’m not the best drawer or painter so this game was much needed for me. There are so many different styles you can try with game and so many things you can do! But that was before I realized that after a week not everything is going to be available. And I just got this game so i still have time and I know that sometimes games have to make things unavailable but I was sos excited to do so many things and now I know that in four days I can’t do as many things as I am right now. Other then that thought, this game is so much fun! I definitely recommend it!

No layers. If you are a fan of layers, sad to say you can’t have them. That is...unless you pay 5$ for them :). Honestly when I first got this app you could do the layers and then it said I need to pay 5$ for the layers. I draw pretty flat cartoonish drawings, but working out sketches and line art is a very important part of digital work! The art has great correction and brushes! But the fact it doesn’t have layers destroys its credibility. I suggest if you’re on a budget and or you’re young and don’t have a credit card, please try something else and don’t buy it without parents permission! I love this app but paying for layers is really annoying. I will not be using this app anymore due to the “paying for layers” it’s just not right to me.

Glitchy!!. In my opinion, everything that is described about this app should work, but it doesn't. I just dinged this app another star. I can't save project to a PSD because every time I try, the app crashes. I've rebooted my iPad twice, closed the app several times, and it still won't save as a PSD. No problem saving as a JPG. Half of my brushes are still gone, after they disappeared about a month ago. I worked hard at organizing brushes and creating new ones, but most of those are gone. Highly disappointing. I wish this app worked properly because I do Iike a lot of the features, such as the fill and gradiant tools, but I also like to switch between apps and without the save as PSD working, it doesn't work well for me.

Great app but.... My only critique (not a complaint) - I had no idea there was a 1 week free trial upon download. Had I known this, I would have spent more time trying out all the available functions. I knew going in there were in-app purchases which was fine. I didn’t like getting surprised all of a sudden with the need to purchase anything. I’ve looked around the App Store, website, and app yet I see nothing about this trial period. I strongly recommend making this a bit more obvious from the start. By the way, this is a fantastic app!

Update. So I previously had an issue with importing files, the app would crash every time I tried opening one of my psd files. Then I figured out that I had to lower my resolution to around 300 dpi in order for them to open. Now I’d like to import brushes but I can’t. I’m not sure if it’s even possible but if it is I can’t figure it out. Also, there are no keyboard shortcuts available. I’m using an iPad Pro, and while the touch features are great, for digital Painting I use shortcuts for a faster workflow. Aside from that this app is awesome, I love the lasso tool as well as many other tools. So to the developers, if we could import brushes and have keyboard shortcuts in the near future, that would be phenomenal!

Impressive In-App Tutorials. Full disclosure: I have not used this application much, and have not used the full version. I initially got it years ago, when it was new to the App Store, but never played with it. Now that I am trying it, the free trial is well past and I have not yet decided whether I will buy the full version or not; it is hard to decide on the limited feature set. However, I rate it as highly as I do for two reasons: 1. The limited feature does work quite nicely. 2. The in-app tutorials are impressive. I find it very helpful to have ready access to tutorials for an iOS application, since many options tend to be gesture-based or visually hidden. Infinite Painter’s in-app tutorials are quick yet comprehensive and easy to understand. I am really impressed, and wanted to say so, since that is not something I think is generally considered for most applications or most application reviews.

Best pencil brush I’ve ever used on a digital art program. I usually don’t even bother trying to use pencils brushes on most art apps/programs because they are so disappointing. Infinity Painter blew me away with a pencil that feels, handles, and looks like I’m using a real world pencil. As an artist who is most comfortable and practiced at real-world sketching, this makes me so happy! I know it’s going to have a huge impact on the quality and quantity of my digital art. The other brushes are also great! Thank you for the wonderful app and your attention to the artistic details!

Ok. Just ok.. I wanted a digital art app, and found one that didn’t cost a ridiculous amount for what it is... However, a few more changes NEED to be made. 1) longer free trial- it is SO frustrating to want a free app, and end up paying for MORE than you would for procreate. Either lower the price, or extend the free trial, because I am not paying for something way more expensive than it is. 2) extensions- please make some free extensions. You can make money through ads as well. Just PLEASE. I want to use the app for free but want other features. Please fix this, it would improve the app quality a lot!

Full of Potential w/ active community and support. Looked into finding an art program that offered in-depth customizability with a wide range of tools and was dissatisfied with Procreate’s pinhole focus on keeping its minimalistic aesthetic and absolute lack of a custom toolbar. I have been using this app for weeks now and am impressed with its array of brushes, filters, easy to navigate manual, and stylus support. It does not have everything yet (a text tool for example) and the app itself is still riddled with bugs (a few ive addressed in community support) but I have full belief that this app will only get better and better with time.

Daf112@❤️‍🔥👍🏼 Amazing job. This app is amazing 🤩 So much things you can add to your designs!!! All these kinds of brushes and pens 🖊 that are amazing to draw with. 😎 Thanks for the amazing app! But I request one thing?.. Can you add stencils of people or animals? Some people might have a hard time trying to draw or figuring what to draw! Like me for example… Sometimes it’s a bit hard for me to figure out what to draw or takes me a long time to at least draw the head of what I’m drawing! Because I basically only draw humans and all that stuff! 😅 I hope you add this! And thank you if you do! 😁👋🏼😎 Also one thing before I go! I think his or her name was iJunkyMonkey?! He Gave A One Star Rating! And I don’t mean to be a Karen and all… But! He has some issues! It could just be his phone acting up!? Because he’s like, “OH MG GOD I HAVE THIS I PHONE PRO AND ALL THIS STUFF IS NOT WORKING OH MY GOD WHHAAAA!!! Pls stop it 😭🛑✋🏼 it’s disrespectful! The guy or lady who made this is not responsible for your -prob- broken phone phone!📱 Anyway awesome job on the app! Keep up the good work 😊👍🏼

Deleted My Projects. I LOVED this app, and used it nearly daily; for personal projects, commissions, and work projects. About 2 weeks ago, I opened the app to work on a commission, and it completely glitched out when I tried to open the project. Layers were disappearing, some layers turned (consistently) neon green, and sometimes the whole projects would just vanish when opened. I attempted to open multiple projects with the same results. After a few days of this - despite deleting and redownloading the app at least twice, restarting my iPad, and logging out and back in - the app would simply get “stuck” on the loading circle when selecting to open a project. Since the 6.0.1 update, I now apparently have “No Saved Items.” I am heartbroken and enraged. I had MONTHS of work saved in this app, and now it’s all just gone ?!

AMAZING APP!!! but.... I really love this app in fact I think it’s miles ahead of procreate in terms of the brush mechanics and line quality, however it has one incredibly huge flaw that keeps it from being a daily use app for me... it DOES NOT SUPPORT .ABR FILES for brushes... this is a huge dealbreaker because the majority of people this app is marketed towards are coming from Photoshop or Procreate which both support the .abr brush standard. If you want customers to say in your app make the transfer over simple and seem-less. No one wants to go tough and re make all their custom brushes one by one, they want to pick it up and go (which in every other aspect of the app I would argue it’s top notch at). I hope sometime soon they will make it compatible but until then I can’t get behind it :/

I really want to like this app…. After trying the free mode for 2 days i decided to finaly pay for the full version (the fill brushes were a large part of my decision) well my only issue is the app crashes when switching canvases and delete a canvas. Please fix. Its a minor issue but when it constantly happens it becomes unbearable Also the app has tons of brushes but tnh i dont care for most of them, Procreate has way more third part brush options which gives it the 1 up over infinity. I tried to recreate some of my fav Procreate brushes and they just dont come close Update: iv found a bug where my layers wont hide and unhide. I have to close the app in order to get the layers to reset when this happens

I enjoy this app. Infinite Painter is a great choice for digital artwork, I recommend it to other artists often. I like the way the layout is in IP because it is simple and reminds me of a game interface or something. I have not had any issues with crashes on my IPad but the IP on my phone would crash sometime but I had a workaround for that but now I just use the IPad version mostly. I don’t really see people talking about this app very much but I think it is a great contender to Procreate to me it’s like choosing between Xbox or PS4 what is your preference really.

Grate app not worth 5 stars tho. I have been searching for months for a good drawing apps and I found this one. You see I’m too broke to buy procreate and I thought with all the good reviews this would be a good app so I got it. All the tools are amazing and I love the mobility and it’s just overall good tools. But then I found out that you have to pay for everything and like I said I’m broke and I can’t pay for it. That is why this app isn’t worth 5 stars tho I know since this app doesn’t really have adds it needs to make money but it’s just 10 dollars is a bit much but that’s it everything els is amazing epic app if your not broke 👍

Great Tools Bottlenecked By Bugs. This engine is magnificent. There are so many tools that all artists will enjoy. However, that enjoyment is difficult to enjoy at times. I’ve encountered many bugs that have drawn away from my enjoyment. One bug I’ve encountered is renaming my folders. It crashes the app instantly. Resizing the canvas has also been interrupting my drawing. After changing the size, I cannot draw without being booted out once again (Yes, I’ve tried to troubleshoot the problems). I understand that these features are new, but it has been over a month without any updates to these problems. If more transparency was given to the consumers, I’d give this app 5 stars and recommend it to others.

A great drawing app. This exactly what I was looking for since I don’t have a laptop that I can get pro create on. This is perfect for what I was looking for. It gives u plenty of layers and brushes and colors to choose from and gives u a seven day trial with everything included and then after seven days it doesn’t charge u for anything unless u want the items that are locked. And I bought the $4 one time payment for just my phone to have everything unlocked and I’ve loved it so far! I really recommend this app to any artists out there!

Amazing and efficient deserves more attention. I have tried several drawing apps but they are not useful and efficient as this one. I felt really comfortable with using it very neat and simple. The most thing I like about this app is the tools that are provide are so professional I felt like I am drawing in PS many tools and options are available. Simply amazing. I will support you guys and def. recommend it to everyone. Lastly, there is always a room for improvement and please keep updating it good luck and thank you for making this app.

Wonderful!. I am not a professional at all but I can honestly say that this is one of the best drawing apps I have seen and it is even better that it is free! I don’t have any things that I have found wrong with it yet, but I have had this app for about a month so I may find some kinks later. But overall I think it is amazing. I am not a good artist but this is seriously making my friends think I am a genius. I use this on my phone and it is good just using my finger, one of my friends have this on their tablet and pen and it is even better for them. If I could I would give it more then 5 stars.

Very good, but needs improvements. I love this app, and it’s very useful, but the fill tool doesn’t fill a second time very well. Could you make it so it fills the same way the second time as it does the first time, developer? It would be very nice. I also wish that there wasn’t a need for the “Pro” thing, either. It just gets in my way. Also, my eyedropper tool is acting up. Sometimes it’ll pick up the color just fine, but recently, sometimes it’ll pick up like a grayish or visibly darker shade of the color I was trying to pick up. I don’t know if this is the app or my phone, but could you look into it, developer? It’s quite annoying and has made making art a lot harder recently. Thanks!

Great game. I just started to free draw. I have been drawing since I was 5. My drawings were not that great but this game has made my drawings improve. I’m not sure how to put that into words. Sorry. But anyways, I love this app because you can use your pure imagination for all of it. I don’t know what the layers are but I enjoy making my own layers with markers. I love the blending feature. It adds more texture to your drawing. I like to make space, the sea, or just cool mixing colors. Thanks wonderful coloring app!! You helped me improve a lot!!

Loved at first. I love the ability in this to save a ton of colors and have them organized in different palettes. You can also rename the palettes which is an added bonus. There’s plenty of options for customizing and creating brushes with a nice range of default ones to choose from. And i love the similarity to procreate in how you can save the brushes you customize or create with the ability to add textures. This was my favorite drawing app at first, but I’ll be deleting soon due to layers becoming locked. Layers are one of the main essentials of drawing digitally and are a necessity in my opinion. I was excited to finally find a free app with all the main features I wanted. I hope the developers will consider taking layers out from behind a paywall.

Perspective guides are great! Hope for further updates. Update: Hey Sean, is this app no longer being developed? Over a year and no updates, come on man! Previous review: Love love love the perspective guides! I was looking for an app that had 1, 2, 3-point and curvilinear perspective and this is it! There are a few improvements to the app I am hoping for: Canvas sizes larger than 4K; ability to draw a perfect square with the rectangle shape tool; ability to select circular area with the selection tools; brushes or selection with an antialiasing on/off switch (necessary when coloring comics and you need to select an area to fill). These are minor things though. Still getting used to Infinite Painter so I may add to my list later. Thanks Sean Brakefield for this awesome app!

I can’t believe not butter!. This application works great! My only gripe is that it can crash on you if your using a lot of layers and working on a large file, however when I restart the app, I have not lost any of my work yet. There is a saving feature that any digital artist would be familiar with. Also, the paint bucket feature could use a little more love. I’m use to using full art programs, but as far as art applications for tablet devices, this is as good as it gets for this pro freelance artist.. “ So good, I can’t believe it’s not butter!” 😅

Brush problems(?). So this game is awesome. There’s so many diff brushes, and you can get so much for free! And, like a title suggests, you can zoom in INFINITELY! But, there’s 2 problems. I know it’s meant to be realistic, but it gets really annoying when my paint will randomly stop working. Is there a way I can turn that off? Also, the brush sizes… I LOVE to make infinite pictures, but the brushes will sometimes just stop working after awhile. It’s really annoying, plus it’s hard with me not being able to make the brush size small enough, and then not even being able to see it once I reach a certain size. Plz respond and fix! Please and and thank you!
