Glad I found this. This app works very well, where ever I am on Safari I can translate it. Unlike some websites it won’t allow me to translate it when I press the Aa button near the search button on the website. It’s simple and easy to use you only need to wait a few seconds.

Original review: This app doubled in size after translating only four web pages—apparently it's caching data from every page that it translates. The only way that I found to remove this data was by deleting and then reinstalling the app. The developer needs to add a "clear the cache" button to the app's user interface. Until this feature is added, Website Translate for Safari poses a fairly large privacy risk.

Doesn't translate entire webpage. For something that cost money, I expect it to do it's job well. As in, it needs to translate the entire webpage that I need it to. To be fair, I give one star for the Baidu translate option. But translating strictly only the top 1/10 of the webpage? (And sometimes not even that much!) What am I supposed to do with the rest of what I need? Wish I could get my money back. Definitely uninstalling!

Works well. Tried this website translator. In my first attempt at translating a German language website, to English, it worked well and was accurate enough to understand the thoughts of the author.

Works well for me. I have used this to translate news articles from Spanish to English. It worked well. No automated translator is going to be perfect, so of course the translation will be a bit rough, but it’s good enough that you can understand it. Others have commented that the app only translated the top portion of the page. I did not find that to be true for me. It translated entire news articles. Open the app itself and there are some preferences. If you’re having this problem try changing some of the options there. But for me it did exactly what I wanted it to do. Translate the text of entire pages in safari with two quick taps, without having to copy and paste into another app or page.

Not as good as it used to be. Web translate used to be a reliable and accurate translate app but I’m finding that it’s not able to translate some simple webpages that it would have been able to in the past. This app needs an update

Good!. Just downloaded and applied to a web page in German. Poof! - worked perfectly on an iPhone X without any of the issues reported by some others. Translated the whole page quickly. Very useful!

Not worth it. There are tons of free translators that are just as good with same function. I bought because for some reason my fav translation app was not working on the website I wanted, my hopes where that this one would..... nope. so I will delete this one and keep the free one don’t buy it .

Excellent!. No longer going to great lengths for a translation. I used to copy and paste into Google Translate (always a headache with lengthy text on news articles, etc). Couldn't be easier with this handy app! 😃

Opening New Doors and Conversations. I recently met a Hungarian artist, living in Germany, during Plein Air Live (PAL) 2022 (an annual international virtual artists’ workshop). We were introduced in a 7 attendees private chat room, but time ran out before we could exchange contact information. I contacted the PAL hostess and she helped us reconnect. I am American with Hungarian and German ancestry on my father’s side of the family. So, not only having an artistic connection, we have a heritage connection. I was able to see her press releases on German websites, but unable to read the text. Your translation app has enabled me to read, in English, what the German text revealed about her work. I am so delighted to have found this application because it has opened new doors and conversations I thought I could never enter. Now, not only in the German language, but the several other languages you have available on your app., I can understand what is being presented. Thank you so much, I will recommend it highly!!

Great!!!. What an easy way to learn and practice a new language. I try reading an article in the language I’m learning, then read it in my language to see how much I understood. It add to my vocabulary and when reading news, understanding of what is going on in another country.

This App unfortunately is very terrible. It does not load pages well. When you open other links, documents, pictures or videos or hit any next button it does not load properly to even allow you to see the next page. Don’t buy this App. But something else that works.!

Very helpful. One of my hobbies is playing a game known as Monster Hunter. The series originates from Japan and often has a lot of events. This app, when set up as an in-browser translator is incredibly helpful in keeping up with my game and is very easy to use. Hats off to a well made application.

Good, but a little broken. Sometimes the option to translate the page, other times it doesn’t show up after 10 page reloads.

Totally Useless. Every time I translate a webpage, I get a few brief seconds to view the translation, and then then I get a message that I am one of the lucky few chosen to have an opportunity to win a Samsung phone if I just answer a few questions. I don’t want this frigging opportunity; all I want is to be able to view the translated website. This useless app informs me that I can tap in the title bar to return to my browser. This returns me to the untranslated webpage. I plan to delete this app right after I finish this review !

Language Arsenal. Simple and effective. Hopefully it gets better at sentence structure as time goes on, but as good as can be expected for the speed.

Pretty barebones translation for the price. When you translate a page, it pops up a new window over the browser with the translation. You need to click on the "return to Safari" button at the top to go back to browsing the page. You cannot interact with the translated page, you have to go back to the original, navigate to what you want, and then translate again. You also don’t get the entire page translated, just the top part. It will not translate PDFs pulled up in the browser. It will not properly translate Taobao store pages, and does not translate everything on the main website, such as menus and any text not part of the main body html. In my opinion, not worth the cost.

A website translate that actually works. Very clear instructions on how to set this up on your device. Works like a charm and I was able to translate a web page without 5,000 pop ups within a few moments. Simple and effective.

This is an excellent tool. I want to thank the developers for this extension. It works great. Keep up the good work.

App does not work & support email comes back undeliverable!. Just purchased this add and I haven’t been able to get it to work at all. I followed the developer’s instructions for adding the app to Safari but the app does not come up in the list of options to add as described. Tried to email the developer for support but the email address listen in the App Store comes back as non-deliverable. SCAM!

Instructions aren’t relavent. To use with Safari use share tab and scroll to the bottom. Works good and is useful. I have a few webpages that I like to view that I need translated. So far so good.

Word text yes, picture text no. Better than nothing

Not user friendly. So far, this is not user-friendly. The options mentioned in the “simple” instructions to activate/use this app are not displayed on the safari screen. If it is supposedly obvious, evidently it is not for someone like me who is not experienced.

New to me. Just working with the app for the first time. So far, it’s been easy to set up and start translating. I do not hav enough knowledge at this time to rate it a 5 thus my rating of 4 stars for now .

Great app, works quickly and efficiently. Super useful utility that I haven’t seen anything like before. Very quick to translate any page that is open in another window so your page is undisturbed. Overall satisfied with this app, kudos to the dev!

Can only agree with all critical reviews.. Wasn’t expecting to much just possibly slightly better transitions than I get from Google or Microsoft apps, I mean there completely free and translates the whole page unless you incur a server error. But was so aggrieved that I can only remember that it would bring to a page devoid of any text as if asking what would you like me to do. Well I would have liked you to at least stay on the website I was on, immediately deleted app, guess a lesson well learned just because it includes the reference that it translates web pages, before purchasing check past users critical reviews. Not the favored as who knows if they are actual people.

Terrible!. I have tried over and over to get a page translated but it’s just not happening! It starts to then it goes right back to its original language. Really wish I hadn’t spent the money on it. Also can’t get to support keeps showing me the iPhone X.

Works great!!. Google Auto Webpage Translate wasn’t working at all on this site, and this app solved the problem completely. The ease to use it in Safari is great as well.

Working Website Extension!. Thank You so much! This app really works as it should!

Much quicker to use than Google Translate. Translation is done by Google but the workflow is just an “action” from within Safari. Took me a moment to figure out how to active/install this as it doesn’t get listed as an Extension in the Settings but instead it is a new “Action”. The instructions aren’t that clear to me but once added it works very well. Would use Apple’s built in translation but it doesn’t support languages such as Finnish, which I was trying to read.

Very useful. It’s been really useful in translating websites on my phone and has expanded my ability to get information on the internet from foreign countries. The only improvement I wish it had was a back web page button and forward web page button. That way I could navigate websites within the translation app instead of having to try and find the web page with the information I am looking for in a foreign language and then using the app to translate it to confirm.

Great for research. Simple to use. Works quickly. Hopefully a save pdf option will be added.

It doesn’t work (bloomberg). There is a problem loading the website. In the case of Bloomberg, only part of it is loaded.

A must have. Anyone who travels or lives abroad. It has, above everything, lowered my stress and dependency. Very effective and 95% percent accurate to the point where it is easily understood what the context of the webpage is. It is an absolute to have and will definitely be a permanent fixture on all of our families devices. Well done, designer! Well done!

Eh. It translates but is extremely inefficient, the instructions to get it on safari are outdated, it opens a whole new browser to translate so I can’t even use my dark screen, and anything I try to translate then download immediately reverts back So yeah it translates, but it’s more trouble than it’s worth

Only worked once. Got this app to translate a website so I could purchase items, it translated 1 page and that was it, it kept reloading the same page it translated no matter what page I was on. Great way improvements need to happen, wasted my money.

Worked only once then failed every-time afterwards. It only worked once after that it kept telling me that page can’t be translated when it was just working before on that same page 🤦🏾‍♂️

Does a great job. Does a great job translating pages that you need translated. Would love it tho if the tap to dismiss portion would be a little easier to tap instead of directly under the Dynamic Island.

Hmm. So the reason I got this app was like the rest of you. Only problem is if you’re trying to translate anything that has signs or kanji like Japanese for example this only works if what your trying to translate is in English letters not if you were trying to translate こんにちは which is Japanese for hello it doesn’t work like that which I didn’t know. Now I’ve wasted my money sadly. Maybe in the future you could make the app to where it can read Japanese kanji and other things. Other than that the app is great 👍

Handy Safari extension. Recommended app, a handy extension to Safari on iOS.

Do not purchase!!!. This app does translate the webpage HOWEVER does not show the pictures associated with the webpage leaving large empty gaps and using it on iPhone the translation is in very small font having to zoom in to view the content. I just lost my money.

Very Handy. Works fine on my iPhone 6. Thought the small screen would be a problem but isn't - the app can expand, rotate, etc and the translation's Google standard. Thanks!

THE Worse web translator app ever. Useless don’t buy it!

First time try. Loaded up App and tried it on an Italian website. Translated into English so quickly. Great.

Doesn’t work on iPad. I was trying to translate a website in Japanese to English, just kept loading didn’t get a translation : (

Simple and functional. The English might not be flawless but it definitely gets the job done. I was impressed by how much it was able to detect and translate - it included text I was unable to copy and paste into another translator app!

Good but annoying. This is an amazing app and it works very well but the only problem I have is when your signed into a website that NEEDS to be signed into (for me it was lezhin’s Korean website) it would log me out and wouldn’t let me log back in. It kept on saying domain not available. But other than that the app worked perfectly fine.

Not functional, better off using Chrome. This isn’t seamless like Chrome, it actually navigates away to translate a page. It’s not fully functional after it does that. Lots of pages seem to not translate at all, while they work fine in Chrome. Waste of money.

Waste. Used to be good but after no update in 3 years, it's useless. Can't translate Web pages it did easily 1-2-years ago. Worse, there are no new apps available.

Only works part of the time. Depends on the site & what part of the site you look at but it is not very good at translating.

Nonfunctional on current OS. Doesn’t work on iOS 15.5. The instructions they provide on the extension’s website to enable translation don’t work and are outdated.

Does not work with reddit.. If I could give this app zero stars I would. I paid 5 bucks so I could specifically use it on reddit and it doesn’t work. What a rip off... I want my money back.

now i have fatal error in this app. Yesterday was ok, but tomorrow i tried to translate website and used this app, app said ‘too many HTTP redirects’. I also tried simple site, but same situation.

Extremely simple and functional. This is a great app. I’ve been doing genealogy research and some documents I’ve come across have been in different languages, this app makes it super simple to read the documents. Its well worth the small price of the app.
