Sorry if your building chose this app. This app is absolutely garbage. I don’t know when building management decided to make a terrible decision on using an app that was seemingly untested and slow. 1. My app sometimes takes 10-25 seconds to load, and this is JUST FOR THE KEY. 2. The UI is absolutely terrible. Why do I have to click about 4 buttons just to get to the key. 3. This is a huge safety risk. What if someone’s phone is out of battery at night, how can they get into the building and to their appartment safely? 4. There is no hard fob solution for those who either don’t want to use the phone app or for those that don’t have a smart phone. It is not inclusive, and that’s not right. Why should we even need to use an app? Not everything needs to be on a phone. Residents will ALWAYS have their keys with them, so a key fob will always make sense. We don’t need to have our phones all the time when we leave the apartment. There are other fob solutions that connect to the apple wallet and have more hassle-free operating steps. If you have a basement to your apartment with low service, you’re screwed.

Not working since the last update. I cannot login on my iPhone SE

Huge Downgrade Compared to Normal Fob. My building recently switched exclusively using the mobile keys through this app. Unfortunately, this app frequently needs to fetch data from the web in order to even launch, and if your parking space is in a basement garage with no service that means the app may never launch, forcing you to have to consciously launch the app prior to entering the garage in order to make sure you can get into your building. Additionally, the UI is pretty terrible and accessing the Key functionality takes at least 3 taps, when this is by far the single most used feature of the app. Please update this app to be able to launch quickly when offline, and please support Apple Wallet/home key features which will allow residents to use their phone or watch (which would be the most convenient option) to easily tap for entry into the building without having to fumble with this clumsy and slow app. All in all this app gets a 0/5 from me

Doesn’t have a buzz in feature. This app is useless. Our building replaced a perfectly good system with this app and now I can’t even buzz people in. Who cares about QR codes! That only works for frequent visitors. It means nothing for delivery drivers or groceries. During COVID, it’s more important than ever to have contactless delivery and this app took that away. Hope your building doesn’t get it. BRING BACK BUTTERFLY, at least it worked! And developer before you respond that you’ve got that feature and you’re “working on it” you also told our building that weeks ago and it still hasn’t happened. Actions speak louder than words.

Property Manager. The app works great and seems to get better with every update! What minor bugs there were in the beginning have since been worked out and the developers are very open to suggestions.

Does not work with ios13 iPhone pro max. The app does not open on iOS 13 running iPhone pro max. Disappointing because ios 13 has been out for sometime now (writing this on 10/24/19). Please fix this.

Latest update broke the app. After the latest update, the app won’t even open. It crashes immediately.

Log in. This app would work a lot better if we could stay signed in. Having to log in every time we use it is a pain.

Mike (Staff) was so quick and the problem got solved within an hour!. I requested a work order through this Rise Living app today. Mike(staff) came up within an hour and the problem in my bathroom got fixed right away. I didn’t expect to be done this quick when I had requested. I want to thank Mike much!!

Cannot register. Hi, I’ve rated this 3 stars because when I try to register, it gives me an error message saying that I’ve already registered, even though I haven’t. Very frustrating bug. My girlfriend registered and has no issues with the app.

Worst app on my phone- UPDATED. The developers worked with me to resolve my issue and the app is working correctly now. Changed rating to 5 stars since the app works as advertised now.

Horrible Garbage. This app is the worst performing piece of trash I’m forced to interact with on a regular basis. Interacting with the app is painfully slow in every scenario. Simply responding to a notification that a guest has arrived can take as long as 30 seconds! I ask my guests to call me when they get close so I can meet them in the lobby rather than cause them to be frustrated by having to interact with this app. Plus, trying to add someone as a preauthorized visitor doesn’t even work, it is impossible to set the times to anything other than 8am-6pm.

Updated Review. The support team has emailed me following my previous review with steps to take. They were quick to respond. My last issue with the app is in regards to posts from community members, management, forms, etc. When I hit the back button it shouldn’t take me back to the home screen, it should take me back to the remaining posts that are still unread. Thanks for your help on previous issues support team.

App Crashing. After the last update, the app will no longer launch. Please fix this soon as I cannot notify maintenance that there’s an apartment needing new smoke detector batteries.

Loading so slow. The slowness of the app to load anything makes it unusable. Very frustrating

Creating work orders is easy. I find that creating work orders is really easy. I am annoyed that after I pick up packages the reminder numbers don’t immediately disappear.

Made building entry harder. My apartment building switched to mobile entry with this app and it only works half the time. Sometime you just get “general error” sometimes it takes forever to load which is not great is its raining, cold or if you are concerned for your safety and need to get inside fast. Recently we get the code ‘no door found’ on our elevators on the gound floor which is really an accessibility issue. I keep the app up to date but its not reliable as a system of entry. Id rather just have a key fob

Clumsy. Navigation is very clumsy or non-intuitive if for some reason I missed the logic of the site.

Too many problems. I had to email 3 times for an IT person to get back to me ..,,.,,meanwhile 2 days later, with more problems occurring....a person gets back to me and says that “they were traveling.” .....,,WHAT????! This is a 615 unit building......

App crashes. This app crashes every time I open after the last two updates.

Unimpressed. Interface for contact numbers is difficult to read.

Director of PM. Maintenance finds it extremly efficient. Residents welcome the user-friendly navigation. The only thing I would like to see is more reports. I do not know how we would manage without it!

No Way to Open the Door. There is no button to open the front door within the app and you have to add visitors every time! It’s super annoying for guests and a waste of my time to do that every time. There is also no door pin available to add. Butterfly is way better unfortunately, I don’t need yoga classes, I need to open my front door...

Pretty useless. Features include freight elevator reservations. This only shows the reservations you made. It would be useful if it also shows the dates/time reserved by other people (don’t have to show the names of the people who made the reservation) so u know when the elevator is not available (and will then know to avoid going that way ).

Package updates. We have the rise app in my building. I love the concept but recently updates are making the enjoyment of the app less enjoyable I stopped getting notifications when people posted in the forum only get them if someone replies Packages no long have pictures or locker number to access These are the most important features. I’ve been dealing with the notification issue but now not having the locker info is frustrating. Pretty much useless for me now

Rise up and down...load the app!. Hi rise living is all about convenience. And this app makes life even easier! From getting groceries delivered, to giving guests entry, this online concierge does it all for you. It’s also a great way to meet fellow residents, welcome new neighbors, buy and sells goods, get notified of packages and much, much more. It gets the thumbs up from me!

Moblie Access Key. Mobile Access Key activates Apple Pay instead of opening door. Any suggestions or fixes?

Can’t login. This app stopped working all of a sudden. Not the first time but at least it usually works itself out.

Totally rubbish. The functions are there, but it took forever to load, that it way too annoying.

App is not production ready. Cannot log in, error when password is submitted with generic error message. Reset password link uses trackers that do not work with ad blocker. So you can open the reset password page. Weird UX for account creation. I prefer the old provider my building had.

Cannot register. Every time I try to input the apartment number, the app crashes and it won’t let me register! ————— Review update: I contacted customer support and their response was almost instant. After sharing a few details on the issue they were able to help with the set up and it is now up and running. Thank you!

App never works. App is constantly freezing or has other bugs making it useless for both the residents and the property management/concierge

This app and management AWFUL. Lost packages, no service from employees, if any terrible. Understaffed

Broken app. When it works the app is mediocre at best, but most of the time it doesn’t work anyway

Secure, Thorough and Reassuring. The building I live in just switched to this format and it is much stricter than the last entry system we had. The visitor, upon requesting access, has to have their photo taken and give an email. While it is extra steps for everyone, it does provide a record of non residents. Delivery persons are also required to use this which is great.

Crappy as can be. The UI experience is horrible. Clicking edit on a visitor’s profile doesn’t even bring the cursor to that field. You can’t even log out of the app and the system can’t properly put the right apartment number on your profile either. This is more a hassle than a convenience.

Not better than condo control. This app is spotty, does not have as many features as condo control and is generally unreliable.
