Super simple and useful!. Great little app. Super simple. Exactly what I was looking for to save space in my bulging iCloud Photo Library.

Doesn’t work. How do I get a refund? I spent $4.99 he keeps telling me there’s not enough storage to convert my pictures from live to still. I have plenty of storage and it doesn’t work even when I do one picture at a time.

Deleted and did nothing else. Found the Live Photo in my deleted folder, unchanged.

Doesn't recognize cropped photos. This app works as advertised with the limitations of iOS however for some reason it doesn't list any live photo which was edited or cropped. Neither does their other app Lively.

Useless. Just spent $1.99 on this app and it does literally nothing. I select a picture push clean up the wheel spins like it’s doing something and then it just goes back to saying clean up. I’ve tried it at least 20 times. Don’t waste your money.

“Some error happened”. Please update! Lean no longer works at all. Every attempt at cleanup results in an error.

Error. Trying use it, keeps bringing the error message saying try to clean fewer images. Still not working. If you want me try to clean one by one why would i need this app at all???

Doesn’t work. It says it can’t do its job because I don’t have enough space on my phone. That’s not true so I don’t know why it’s not working and there’s no way to contact the developer.

Failure if not a fraud. It says I have no Live Photos to fix, which is wrong. I have 1322, which it ignores. There are ZERO instructions, so app does nothing. Do not buy. Disgusting that Apple allows this in the App Store, and Apple should allow refunds. If no stars were available option that is what this app deserves.

This app does absolutely nothing - don't buy this app!. I'm so tired of getting scammed on the App Store. I paid the $1.99 and got zilch. It doesn't do anything and there is no support. Other than trying to scan another $2.99 for an app that exports to your photos to gif.

Doesn’t work. It will not process any of my pictures and continues to give me an error message. Don’t waste your $5!

Great app to show all Live Photos. It is a great app to show all Live Photos and allow you to revert back to normal photo.

All photo details gone. This app removes all the date and time information of each photo changed and that scrambles the order the picture were taken, I had several hundred photos that I needed to keep in the order I’d taken them and now I spend hours sorting them to correct order.

Saved me a lot of space. Those who complains about the increased size of the photo library should delete the deleted photos.

Error message. I get an error message saying I don’t have enough free memory so try doing fewer pictures but I get the same message with only one picture selected.

Doesn’t work. Says I need more storage space to clean up photos. The reason I bought it was so my photos took up less space. There doesn’t seem to be a point to this app. Also, I have plenty of space free on my phone so I shouldn’t be getting this message. Can I get a refund?

Error when deleting multiple photos. This app is absolute garbage. It has the option to select multiple photos, but if I select even 2 photos it gives me an error and won’t work. I have to manually go through every single photo to clean it. Waste of time and money

Doesn’t work anymore. I really don’t remember if this app worked properly as it’s been sitting There unised for so long. I updated the app (April’ 2018) and it just deletes love pictures. I noticed that the ones that are on iCloud it dos t even try do download, just delete the picture and doesn’t strip the love prt and save it.

Don’t go by what you research on the internet. I paid for this app because I wanted to make my Live Photo’s stills in a batch. I cannot find any way to do this. If I wanted to fix them one by one I could have done that without this app. Waste of money.

Useless.. You can actually do what this app claims to by taking a screenshot.

Developer is a smart a@&. The app is ok but what I found is irritating was the developers little quip about 3D Touch. It was not necessary and you now have one less user.

If only it worked. Great concept but doing more than one photo results in an error even when there is plenty of free space. Makes the app basically useless

Only does one photo at a time. I'm sure it's a limitation of apple but you need batch photo or it's pointless

Works well. Easy to use, retained all metadata, seems to have truly removed the video portion of the live photos.

Really angry. This deleted my photos. I looked, believe me I looked several times to check that the photos I “cleaned up” weren’t somewhere else in my timeline. They are gone. I want my money and my photos back. Really angry. This app should be removed from the App Store.

Limited functionality. It would be more useful if you could decide which frame or frames to save and b able to edit a phot without having to delete the original.

Do not buy.. It will not save resize the image to save space on your phone and does not convert to JPEG or GIF. Worthless.

Cool idea, but.... This is a simple app that works as advertised. But... 1. Would be nice to get to choose which frame to save 2. Would be nice to have a setting that doesn't delete the live photo.

No longer working. Was working great but now every time, it says error possibly not enough space. This is trying to clean up 1 photo! I have several gig available?? Any fixes ?

Avoid this app! Good idea but waste of money. Awful execution of a good idea. The size of the photos remains the same! That defeats the whole idea of converting from live to single photo. In addition, the app deletes all the meta data, such as location, data and time.

Great app. I will put 5 stars if you can mark Live Photos that have "live" disabled in Photos app. So I will disable Live in Photos app and then open Lean and actually delete Live part. I will pay for a feature to be able to do that automatically for all photos at once.

Super handy!. Fast and easy way to clean up your photo library by deleting the movie portion of Live Photos that don't need to be live. Makes it worthwhile to just always leave the "Live" setting turned ON in the camera app, so that you never miss anything, knowing that you can quickly reclaim storage space later.

This destroys all photos!. I haven’t ever had such a bad experience with an app before. Not only did it not work the way it says- it didn’t safe any space on my phone or iCloud yet- it messed up the timeline of hundreds of photos! I’m angry I payed and used it!!!

Does not work in bulk. It keeps on saying I don't have enough memory but I have plenty. Will do one photo at a time but not more. Any suggestions? If not I would like my money back.

Cumbersome. Needs select all button, 500 live photos selecting one at at time

Works great!. This app is awesome. Live Photos take up much more space than you would think and this app helps get rid of unwanted Live Photos while leaving the original still photo with exif data intact. Great job!

Why isnt there a select all option !?. This app is so annoying because it makes me tap on each of my 2000 photos individually to delete the Live version :( Who has time for that?!

Missing key feature. Great concept but doesn't save to original location in camera roll. So creates a mess

Does what it says. Helpful app. It saves a non-live version then deletes the original. The new version is out of order but not a huge deal.

It messes up your photos. I downloaded it and it tried to do what it says, but then it scrambled all of the time stamps on my entire photo library, deleted tons of photos, and just messed up iCloud Photo Library on all of my devices. This app really made everything worse. I don't recommend it.

Perfect. Since Apple has not yet seen fit to create a "Live Photos" Album in the regular Photos app, Lean fills the void. Great great app, terrific that it is free!

It doesn't do what it says. Yes it disables the live part of the live photo, but the file SIZE stays exactly the same, which defeats the whole purpose. After you delete the original live photo, the app declares that it has claimed back some amount of storage (usually around 2.5MB), but I found it's a random number because the resulting "lean" photo is the same size or sometimes slightly bigger than the original live photo file size, which makes absolutely no sense. I tested this multiple times by transferring the "lean" and original live photos to my computer and comparing them. It's either a sham or the app is broken. Even though the app is free, I'm still upset because it wasted quite a bit of my time. Using iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 9.2.

Too slow. Great idea but you have to do it photo by photo. I'd like to be able to select a bunch of photos all at once instead of one by one and then waiting for that dialogue confirmation box to clear each time

Doesn't work. Maybe it's my iPhone but I get an error message saying it can't delete a photo because there's not enough space (I have 60+ GB free). Other times, when I can get it to work, it deletes the live photo but doesn't save a regular one.

Strips EXIF data. DO NOT USE IF YOU CARE ABOIT EXIF DATA like location, date, time, lens info, etc. I’ve used this app before and I thought it kept all EXIF data and just removed the Live Photo. It ruined a bunch of my photos which is disappointing.

Fantastic. It's a great app to remove videos from live photo and as a bonus, you can view all the live pics together.

Dont download it!. What a waste of $2, it cannot store the new photos in an original sequential date, cannot select all, what a waste

Select all?. I am not going to sit here and select all 1000+ Live Photos individually. Are you kidding? Where's the select all button?!

Lean app. This doesn’t work, don’t waste your money!! Nothing happens when you open the app. It can’t detect any Live Photos etc.

98% happy - wish iOS itself could do this. I have found Live photos have contributed massively to consumption of most storage on my iPhone. I really like that this Lean app does retain the original date+timestamp as the original photo as that was extremely important to me. I am now on iOS v14 and the security of allowing all photos or just some to the Lean app is good, I just wish I could suggest there be some way to enable the “Live Album” as a whole to Lean. When it does the copy, the photo will appear at the newest end of your list of photos and not next to the original, but at least the Date+Timestamp remain unchanged and I am extremely happy it does that (if that date reflected when I converted the photo instead of the original date then that would have been a problem). I do think it could be nice to allow a selection option that could do the whole Live album but honestly that’s a bonus on top of what I really needed - reduction of file size without ruining the original date/time information. Thank you so much! Was worth the approx $3AUD and the app size is tiny - very useful when your problem is already not much space remaining! Cheers!

do not buy: iPhone already does this!. This app is a waste of money, there is no option to bulk change Live Photos to stills. If you’re going to change live photos individually then you might as well edit them in the photos app

Poor experience. Thought that I have found an apple which can help me to reclaim iCloud storage. Only works on individual level photos not on bulk... I have 7500 Live Photo’s. Selecting them manually is already painful enough.

Won’t solve your iPhone storage problem!. So you buy this app to reduce your photo storage because your phone is full ... and it can’t even reduce ONE photo at a time because you don’t have enough storage to complete the operation. YOU HAD ONE JOB.

Falls short. ‘Bulk’ conversion requires the user to tick photos individually. 🙄This is not bulk. While the new stills duplicates have the same date and time as the originals they will appear as MOST RECENT in your camera roll, and so they are no longer in the original order you took all your other pictures and videos. 🙄 This is bad. After about 50 conversions an error message appeared saying there was likely not enough storage on my device. There is over 60Gb of storage available. 🙄 This is useless. The app does not put the new stills in the same folders as the originals. 🙄Have fun putting 1000s of travel pictures into their folders again! Waste of money.

Does Not Function. Has not been able to convert a single Live Photo to a static photo. Persistent errors. DO NOT PURCHASE

Works as described. I had hundreds of Live photos which I did not need the “live” portion of the file. Based on other reviews, I noted my iPhone storage before and after deleting the live data. Note: The deleted photos are put into your Deleted album, so you won’t see any storage savings until you clear your Deleted folder. After clearing my Deleted folder, I recovered a few GB of storage, as expected. All the original photos are still exactly where they were originally / chronologically, and my Live album is now empty. I was surprised how fast the clearing takes place, once you select the photos you want “cleaned”.

It deletes everything with no replacement. Horrible.. You will lose everything.

Doesn’t work. No customer service. Does not work. It keeps saying I don’t have enough room on my phone to convert even 1 picture, but I have tons of room on my phone. I finally got it to work for some but I have to go into each picture individually which really defeats the purpose. After doing about 20 individually, the order got messed up in my photos. I tried to contact them to get help but I received no reply.

It just works!. If you're getting error messages about free space, but you have the space, the problem's most likely you've already backed up to iPhoto. So the live photo's in the cloud. Delete your unwanted live photos before you plug in at home, or on a device that stores your full resolution photos, and you'll be good! Been using this app for years, couldn't live without it!

Doesn’t work!!!!. It did clean about 20 images the first shoot I I stalled it, but after I stop!!! I have to clean then 1 at the time!!!! Better do it with Photo instead of paying for nothing! Poor developer service!!!! They don’t even answer to post or emails !!! Do not purchase!

Scam! Doesn't remove the videos of Live Photos at all!. It looks like it works at first, but looking closer: 1) in spite of supposedly reclaiming hundreds of MB of photos, the total amount of disk used by the Photos app doesn't change; 2) when importing the photos on to the Mac, it is the Live Photos which are transferred, proof there are still around (and Lean says there are none); 3) there are some bugs where sometime your photos will appear as duplicated... not sure if it is iOS or Lean's fault. In the end, this app doesn't do at all what it promises. The video of the live video stays and only the Photo app on your phone will pretend all those pictures are not live ones. I want my money back!!

App does not work. Before using the app I had 11Gb being used by photos. After using app I now have 12.4Gb used by photos. App does exact opposite of what it says. Do not purchase this app. Extremely aggravating after paying $1.99.
