Crash and burn. The app crashes instantly on iPhone 11, iOS 15.2. What a well-written app!😕

New update issues. The app started crashing Friday . I actually deleted and reinstalled on my iPhone and it made it worse. Won’t even open now. Before the reinstall it started to load the stream and then would crash.

Excited for coverage on the road!. Very excited to be able to listen to the games when I am on the road with just the touch of a button. Easy, simple, and everything I need!

App no longer works, but the Ads do. App no longer provides the show, but you’ll be forced to watch /hear ads before you can discover the sound player doesn’t work. This used to be my goto place for local sports, ESPECIALLY FOR THE NFL. Bet the executives are still getting paid from this app but the on-air talent is not.

Ads & Glitchie. There are ads to open the app and ads every time I pause the streaming, on top of the radio commercials. I understand money is to be made, but coupled with the glitches, it mean the app needs to be closed and restarted again, and more ads. Why can’t I stream the Skins game anymore?

Redskins games. I downloaded this app just to listen to the games since I moved out of the area. Well, last Sunday, I discovered that you can't use the app to tune into games anymore. The NFL requires an annual subscription of $99!! So I'm supposed to PAY to listen to a mediocre team each week?? Sports bars are too crowded to watch the games, so I've been bumped out from supporting my own team. That's fine by me. Guess that makes this app worthless.

A start. I'm a fan of ESPN 980, so I'm pleased they released the app. It is a good start, but does need attention to the front end (the app) and major attention to the back end. The "Listen Live" feature works so-so. I have had more dropouts streaming with this app than I have had with alternate streaming apps that can also reach the same station (Football Radio-Washington). And sometimes I simply cannot connect without multiple retries (naturally during games). I suspect this is a matter of back-end provisioning for large numbers. I do appreciate the option to call in. This feature properly has a warning that you will be responsible to your carrier for minutes used. It is a great fallback, especially if you need to listen to programming that is blacked out on the Internet. My major issue with the app is that the RSS feeds are spotty and highly inconsistent. That is, it he back episodes. Sometimes they are provided nearly immediately. Sometimes they are duplicated a day later. And sometimes they are not provided at all, or seem to disappear without warning. This is the most frustrating aspect of this app; it is purely a back-end issue that can only be fixed by ESPN 980 management committing to a "zero-defect" mandate across all their programming. I hope they can.

Crashes. Lately this app plays a couple of commercials then crashes. Get it together, it’s disappointing for someone who lives out of market to really only have this app to listen live and it not work.

New ads are terrible. The new ads you added in August 2018 are so annoying. Greatly diminishes the UX of the app and it makes me want to stop listening to the recorded podcasts, which I would previously listen to on a daily basis. Please consider dropping those new ads or at least allow them to be skipped.

Awful. This app blows.

Most unreliable App I’ve ever used. Constantly shuts down making you have to hit play again, which starts with a commercial. Coincidence? Often will only play/show previous broadcasts from hours or days earlier, not the current live show, no matter how many times I restart. Cannot use with Apple Car Play via Bluetooth, only when connected via USB... 👎🏻

You ruined this app. Not sure what you did to it but you ruined this app, too many commercials it’s too aggravating to even log onto this app. And listen to a show trying to squeeze out every drop of money just let us listen to the show

Great for Skins fans not in DC. I am a lifelong Redskins fan that has the displeasure of living in Cowboy country. Being able to listen to Skins radio shows is a blessing. I especially enjoy Kevin & Cooley’s show. You can either listen live or to replays of their shows. The main problem with the app isn’t the app’s fault. The greedy NFL won’t allow the games to be broadcast live. They of course want to drive you to pay them instead. HTTR

Only works sometimes. I love this radio station. As a DMV fan that is living in New England, I rely on this app to get my fix. Unfortunately the steam is not always available and frequently just stops playing inexplicably. The on demand streams almost always quits mid show and if you pause the show for more than a few seconds it won't start back up. This app is a GREAT idea! Just poorly executed. I hope they figure it out. Until then I have use other outlets like Stitcher which sometimes carries recorded Skins and also plays live streaming.

Doesn’t even play.. This app has never been “good.” At least I could hear the DC sports personalities talk DC sports most of the time. Now? Nothing! Gave this rating one star because I couldn’t give it less.

App stinks! Seriously.. The app can't stream for more than 15 - 20 without buffering. And once it does it normally crashes or stalls. I have tried it with home wi-fi, my 4G LTE data plan...tri d different times of day...doesn't matter. Other streaming radio and video sites I use never have this problem.

Kevin back on 980. Love Kevin. He is a fair and honest man. Listen to him every day. Glad he made it back to 980. I made a comment on Twitter a year ago when they let him go and said that it was not a good business move and there ratings would plummet! Glad everything worked out for Kevin and 980. Does not work. This app is not functioning and clearly needs to be removed from the App Store!

Worst update ever!!!!!!!. App does not work after the update! Whoever tested this update before rolling it out to production should be fired. And who's dumb idea was it to make the user call in to listen live? For an app that advertises itself as a way to listen to live Redskins games, that was a stupid thing to do. Who is gonna make a 3 hour phone call to listen to a game on speakerphone? I for one will not be the one, there are other ways to do it. You have just lost a loyal subscriber. And I know I won't be the last! I'm sure your advertisers are happy to know that. Good luck.

Bad for the Metro. The app makes you listen to an add to start the livestream. Ok, that’s fine. However, on metro in the tunnels, if the app drops off in between metro stations, it makes you listen to the add all over again before it restarts the stream. Horribly annoying. The app is almost unusable in the tunnels because all you hear is the ad. They need to fix it so you only have to listen to the ad once per day (or even once per hour would be fine).

Garbage. Used to work, now just opens and immediately closes.

Very disappointed. Being out of market, I was happy to find the ESPN 980 app to keep up on all things Redskins, and listen to the games live if I am unable to watch. I have never reviewed an app, but was compelled to do us because of how horrible this one has functioned. I have tried to delete and reinstall this even, hoping there was some sort of bug that would fix, but even then very rarely will the live feed work. Even when it does work, it cuts out after a short period of time. Very disappointed in this app with all of the great content 980 produces. Hopefully it’s upgraded soon....

Almost worthless. The app arbitrarily stops for pop up ads and you have to close the as before whatever show you were listening to starts to play again. Sometimes you have to close and restart the app to get it functioning again. THEY DO NOT LIVE STREAM GAMES!! I have been looking for a way to listen to games on my phone and this app is not one of them even though they say it does and even though Dan Snyder owns the station.

Fav Show-app plays endless ads. When I start the app, it says that I’ll be subject to a 30 second ad before programming begins. Not true. Most of the time, I’m subject to an endless array of advertising that lasts in excess of 10 minutes and never kicks into the actual programming. I have downloaded Newest version I have contacted tech support. Please fix!

Love it!!! Been needing this kind of app for awhile!!!. ESPN 980 has really done a nice job with this one. All of the Redskins and Terps games via live stream; All of Kornheiser's podcasts and the rest of the station's podcasts are included. I like listening to Cooley and Czabe on the way home, but sometimes I miss a show so it's nice to have them all in one place. And they've included some new feeds: Monday Morning Quarterback, Featured Interviews and Redskins podcasts. If i miss anything on-air, it'll be on the app. Really easy to find everything. And I can read new articles from Kevin Sheehan, too. Nice!

What happened?. The app simply doesn’t work!

Love this app!. I’m so happy to have discovered the Team 980 app. I only have a ten minute drive to work, so I never had a chance to listen to much in the truck. Now I can listen to my favorite radio station all the time!

Play Button. The play button no longer works on a iPhone. Have tried several iPhones with no success. Mine runs IOS14, other ran IOS13. Please fix it.

Downloading issue. I love the app for the most part. After most recent update, I noticed the app would not let me download podcasts after clicking the download bottom. Please fix.

ESPN 980. Once the change from ESPN980 to the team 980 app, the adverts are out of control. The app crashes several times and must be restarted which also takes you through another ad.

Ads pause audio. I use this app while driving. Recently there have been horrible buggy final fantasy advertisements inside the app that don’t launch correctly. It renders the app unusable while driving because I have to close the ad in order to play the podcast. Greed is a horrible thing

From bad to worse. When this app first came out, it worked well enough. But with each update it just got worse and worse. Now it’s telling me it can’t connect to the Internet when my phone is on Wi-Fi. Just horrible.

Crashes as soon as you try to open it.. My iPad software is up to version 15.3.1. I downloaded the app and it won’t even stay up when I try to open it.

Right now, it’s great!!. This app has come a long way. It was absolute garbage when the new owners took over but they seem to have put their greed behind them

App needs work. I used to be able to listen regularly with some minor issues. As of lately it doesn’t even play live at all for me. Switched to tune in radio and now they dropped the team 980....

REALLY ENJOY THIS APP. As a life-long Redskins fan and D. C. native living in New England it's fantastic to be able to hear the games every Sunday for the first time in years as well as the local commentary at other times. Reception on my iPhone is great. Prior to this app, I used a generic radio reception app that worked but didn't allow me to do other things on my phone at the same time like this app does. This is the app to have for those Redskin fans who don't live in the D. C. area.

Carsone. App forces you to the live feed and makes getting to a specific podcast a few steps too many because it forces loading of unnecessary pages. Updating of audio segments is sometimes way too long. Also be prepared for an uninvited pop up or ad every time you hit the pause button. That part alone makes you want to stop listening This is not an app for listening to your favorite show, it’s for advertising.

Doesn’t work. Terrible app. Can’t listen to 980 through my phone.

Greed Ruined The Team 980 App. I have enjoyed previous versions of The Team 980 App. The podcast versions of the shows allowed me to enjoy The Morning Blitz with Al Galdi, and The Steve Czaban Show. A recent update, unfortunately, has ruined the app. Problem observed Wed 18 Sept 2019. Now, in the Shows page, when I pick the show, an animated ad launches (this is a new placement for an ad). When I close out the ad, the list of podcasts for that show is frozen. I see only the first couple of podcasts. Nothing I pick actually works. Can’t scroll, can’t menu download a podcast, can’t even use the Back button. I blame greed for having the animated ad addition disrupt the app.

Fix the app. Fix the GD APP OR REMOVE IT FROM THE APP STORE. ITS USELESS, A BIG ZERO.

For All DC Sports Fans. I'm a big fan of Jason Reid's Man Cave, the Sports Fix and the Tony Kornheiser show. I didn't like having to download the ESPN radio app when all wanted was Washington DC sports. This app is dedicated to everything sports in the District of Columbia. Also, when will Kevin Blackistone get his own show?!? More DC sports please!!

Great Staion. Excellent programming, I have been a long time listener and must say this really is a great station. I was really upset when Kevin left but I’m beyond joyful he was asked to return. Continue the great work. Ps Doc if you see Bruce Allen while you are at the skins facility kindly tell him to adore him self because Dan won’t do it.

App doesn’t work. Won’t let me even open it anymore

30 second ads??. Starting the app when I left my house and had to listen to a 30 second ad before the live stream started. 25 minutes later I arrived at work and heard but ads. This app is a joke, can’t listen live. Have to listen at night when the podcasts are ready

Like the content . But the commercials are overwhelming. Every time you stop the stream prepare to wait through the dumbest 30 second bandwidth chewing video ads. Really!? And you can’t even bother to keep the show titles updated? But you sure cranked up the commercials. I liked the app. I would pay 5$/month to have no commercials ( other than in the stream). I guess I’m going to be getting tunein and paying the 5$ there and not getting all the cool archive content. Ugh

PLEASE STOP THE ADS!. Edit: they fixed the ad issue. Love the app! Great for DC sports content! Love the app and the content from all the guys. But every time I get a call while listening to the app (which is pretty often), I get a freaking ad playing over top of the audio!! Please make this stop! I understand ads but overtop of the audio while I am listening?! Come on.

Need More Galdi. Al Galdi is the best thing going on the 980 schedule. We Miss him on redskins postgame. If I can’t listen live, I always download his shows: The morning blitz & chin music. Cooley & Doc Walker are also good. Galdi just knows so much about all sports & he delivers it well.

What happened. I have been enjoying 980 for a Long time, now that I’m stationed in Europe I really rely on the 980 App. One thank in particular was cooley and Kevin. What happened to Cooley and Kevin and why was there never an explanation given. One thing that always relied on was Cooley’s explanation of x’s and o’s for starters and most importantly his grades. Someone please tell me what happened to the best show on 980 and when is it coming back???!!!

Question. I recently downloaded the Team 980 App, although I don't listen to the shows in real time, how long does it take for any particular show, once it has concluded, to be updated on the podcast?

Just Awful. For what this owner charges and pays you would think a better app could be designed. Interphase is horrible and challenging to navigate. The crashes and drops are constant and the idea of calling in to listen to the radio shows? Seriously? The quality is so poor it sounds like HAM radio. I guess I should be satisfied that I can listen to Redskins radio, though. Right? Since its just about Halloween I have just one last word for the app….Boo!!

Glitches. It was very good until today where i cant read full description of the episodes and the audio stops when my cell goes on lock

Completely Worthless. What is wrong with a "Play" button simply marked without all the redskin hype. I can never get this app to work. I just want to listen to the Skins without all the other dribble. It never connect to the game. WTH ??? What is wrong with the Redskins? Put a simple Listen to GAME LIVE button so it is simple. This is one of the worst apps yet !

Fred Smoot. GIVE THAT MAN A PRIME TIME SHOW, already! Smooty is a draw! Every time I hear he’s going to be on I make it a point to tune in!! (Im sure Im not the only listener who feels this way!). He earned his stripes!!! Him w/Scotty Jack and CP would cause a ratings explosion!!

Essence of soiled diaper. This app is a pile of rotting garbage but essential for out-of-market fans of Washington's professional football franchise. Be prepared for freezes, quits, obtrusive advertising, shoddy playback control and haphazard content updating. But you really do still care about them 'Skins right? Cuz it sure was wonderful when you were a kid? Gibbs and Buges and 'bon making the rest of the league look like dummyheads? Good times; go ahead and download.

Interface broken on latest release. The content is fine, but on the latest release it is almost impossible to successfully touch the little down arrow for the content description. Instead, it starts Play (with the corresponding popup Ad). And BTW, why a new release and again no 15 second rewind button???

980 for DC sports fans. I love listening to this station out of market so I can stay up to date on my favorite teams. It’s just unfortunate that sometimes staying up to date on DC sports is sad. #HTTR

Love the Skins but Glitchy App. All I want to do is listen to DC sports radio, but this is the most glitchy app I’ve ever used. Constantly turns off and resets on its own and every time it does that you have to listen to ads again. Most frustrating app ever. Also drains a ton of battery. I hope they fix it soon.

Happy to see ESPN 980 has an app!. It's great that my favorite radio station has an app. Now I can listen to my favorite shows whenever I want.

Too many ads!. Too many ads. Doesn’t work 25% of the time. Has recently taken to playing ads straight through as the show is honing on so I miss everything. Doesn’t even work without WiFi anymore, and poorly at that. Pure frustration, only download if you are a masochist.

So happy they have an app!. Very excited to have all the local programming available to us on mobile or tablet.

Please fix bugs in on demand playback. On demand titles only play for ~7 minutes before needing to be restarted. .i.e 28 minute show will stop playing at ~7, ~14, ~21min mark. Tested on multiple carriers and phones. App crashes a lot too and full screen ads are disruptive to the user experience i.e. can't pause or start playback while an ad is displayed.

Great local sports. The station is doing a great job during the coronavirus crisis. Looking forward to win or we can talk about his baseball football and championship basketball.

Very simple, works great.. I got this app at its inception about a year ago, they've made vast improvements and now I encounter no issues with it. Mainly got it for the Cooley Film Breakdown anyway lol #HTTR

Crash fest ?!?!. Downloaded this app. After opening it sound would stop after a couple of minuets. So, I deleted it and reloaded app. Same thing happened. Not sure why.

Sports Talk. Great app, so easy to use. Perfect way to listen when you are not in your car.

The Best Thing to Happen to the 980 Boys. Been waiting for this app my whole life. Love that I can finally access audio from the morning that I missed on my iPhone with ease. Totally beats the crap out of the regular espn radio app.

Disappointed. This app needs some stability bad!! It often doesn’t pick up 980, instead it goes straight to a pre recorded show and has live radio no where in site

Downloads. I work at night and I usually download programs from the ESPN980 app... However since I upgraded to iOS 11, I cannot download any programs to my phone🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️😪😪😪

Great news! ESPN 980 now has an app. This is fabulous! I get easy access to listen to all my favorite shows on the station and I can't Redskins news and updates

Good app. Could be better. Love hearing Redskins football on my phone, but, it crashed quite often which would be a five star rating once fixed

App stops playing. App has improved a little but it still just stops playing. Most of the time it’s when I’m driving but today it stopped and it’s hooked up to my wi-fi someday you’ll get it right

Weak. Very hard to get older podcasts to load. Hard to get it to play on blue tooth

Great App!!. I am a lifelong Redskin fan living in California and this app allows me to stay connected with the great, informative and entertaining sport talk radio shows that ESPN980 has in their daily lineup.

So so, but you’re stuck for Redskins. I’d say the app is marginal but you need it if you want to listen to the Redskin games on your mobile device.

Buggy. Slow drops connection. Ever since they switched to the urban one air cast version, it’s super slow to connect sometimes it won’t connect and every time it’s extremely slow. I’m so disappointed I use this app every day to listen to my sports talk radio

The Brian Mitchell Show. I really enjoy listening to Brian and Scott. They keep you up on the latest information and paint a colorful picture of all sports. Brian really speaks his mind on the Redskins with no sugar coding. I like that!! He will make a great manager or coach for the Redskins!

Why not better?. Beyond the constant drops and no live game on weekends (good grief!), the app is constantly promoted as a way to listen to programs off schedule but they only carry today and yesterday. They go back plenty far in the Audio Vault on the web -- why not in the app? They can do better.

Commercials. To many and too long commercials when I’m trying to access the app

Great station, app is no longer usable. Playing video ads between segments when folks are trying to drive is stupid. Not only are people not watching them, then you have to try and close the ad after 45 seconds by hitting a small close button while navigating the beltway. Boo hiss, used to love the app.

Can't DL old episodes. I cannot download any of the shows episodes to the cloud. I used to use this feature every day to listen to previous days episodes at work but for the past 10 days I cannot download anything. Everything else works fine in the app. I have no trouble downloading to cloud using other apps. Please help! HTTR 🙂

Has not worked for past 3 days. Constant resets w ads Stream never ready on Monday morning. On stream pause, it resumed with ads.

Ads over content. Ads are played in the middle of the content when listening live. Ridiculous, double dipping ads between online streaming and then the radio ads means less content than ads. A losing formula for me.

It could be much better. The app stops playing when my screen sleeps on my phone. It is 2018, fix the app so it responds and functions like any other app.

Cheap new owners. When you drop the fan favorite Chris Cooley from your network you’re going to lose fans. The whole reason I had the app and listened to this network. I even went as far as listening to other shows and being a regular caller. Well that’s done.

App must be open. App works fine while open, but when I go to another app the audio stops. It doesn’t play if you minimize the app to do something else, doesn’t allow multi-tasking. That stinks. Every other audio app works when you go to another app, why can’t this one? Very disappointing.

Great App. This is a very good app, the On-demand feature makes it a must download to listen to all of my favorite 980 shows.

Great content; struggling app functionality. Still working out bugs that cause frequent interruptions. Content is fantastic and worth the frustration. Would love to see an upgrade though

Nice!. This makes it easy to catch the segments I missed during the work day. I can download what I want while I have wifi and load up for the drive home. Clean, simple interface.

An app for past times. This app is appropriate for how the Washington football team used to treat customers. The app doesn't connect. Then it says it's your network that is to blame. Then customer service tells you to restart the app. At no point is there an apology. At no point does someone acknowledge poor app design it is the customers fault or no one's. I'm sick of it and sick of this app.

980 review. Glad Kevin’s back should have never been let go or whatever Happened there, lost a lot of listeners !! I was one of them !! Al did a great job he should be on after the Kevin show !

Love it.. So glad to hear Doc, B-Mitch and all of the rest of the guys. Nothing like listening to experts who actually played the game. The other station has nothing on you guys.

Can’t listen to the game?. I only downloaded this app to listen to the game because I’m away on business and 10 minutes before game time it always cuts off. Just don’t see the point of the app if I can’t listen to Larry and the crew give a play by play.

96.4% crap. This app works okay when you pre download your shows on WiFi. Completely irritating experience if you try to stream content on a crappy signal like 4GLTE on Verizon. I really wish my shows stuck with traditional iTunes instead of this garbage. If you stream your content, it will interrupt the broadcast to present an advertisement about freaking tires or something in the middle of a guest speaker.

Czaban show no longer on ITunes. I came over so that I may continue to listen to the Czaban show now that it’s off itunes. This app works alright. I don’t care for it autoplaying my last listener to podcast when head phones are removed and the app reopened. Was clunky to search for podcpasts

Horrible! Very buggy!. Latest update has server issues. Doesn't work

Not good. I've used the app for podcasts and it constantly crashes. When reopened it starts the podcast all over again so I have to manually fast forward to where it left off. Too many bugs so I'll find a better way to listen.

How I stay on the Team. I a huge Redskins fan. I use this app everyday I’ve had no problem it does not crash. Thanks for keeping me close to my teams when I’m away from home.
