Watch features need work. I really like the idea of this app. The app is really nice, it looks good, gives me information just the way I would want, and had plenty of customization but the main reason I got the app was for its watch features and well they don’t really work for me. I set everything up as I wanted in the app, set the complication on my watch and closed off the app, the complication showed just what it was suppose to but that’s where it stopped. From there on the only way to get the complication to show accurate info is to open the app, refresh it and then swipe it closed. I’ve tried opening the app on the watch and waiting a bit but it doesn’t work, has to be the app on the phone. I guess I will keep looking for a good weather app that’s friendly w my watch cause no one wants to have to open an app on their phone every 30 minutes or hour to see what the correct weather is.

Forecast good; software meh. The forecasting generally is quite good, with a very good, customizable UI; and, for a fee the same app runs on the Mac. But, (1) the radar runs fine on the Mac but never ever runs well, if at all, on the iPhone (12 running 14.5.1) or the iPad (Air 3 running 14.5.1); and, (2) the watch app is attractive but useless because its refresh process is glacially slow, thus the watch face temperature is never accurate. Often you have to open the app, hard press to refresh, then wait . . . wait . . . é voila, current data.

Something's Changed. i've been using Forecast Bar for over two years now and in that time i'd rate my satisfaction anywhere between 90-99%. recent updates, however, have forced me to start reconsidering whether i keep the app as my main source of weather updates and predictions. the information is just as great as it's always been, but these last few updates have made the app unstable and sometimes nearly unusable. immediate freezing, blank screens when in the app, forcing my entire phone to lock up, and generally just *not good*. i don't know if Forecast Bar is trying to do too much with the family of apps across the Watch, iPhone, and desktop, but the more functionality they stick in, the worse it seems to get. and yes, i'm a fully paid subscriber on all platforms.

Radar often not available in free trial. I’m done with data being overlaid on top of the radar that I can’t turn off. I don’t even know what the data is and the developers don’t care enough to answer my question. I won’t pay for an app the developers apparently can’t control. My search for a good weather app continues. I'm enjoying my trial of the app, except radar is frequently under "extremely heavy load" and only available to subscribers. I haven't been able to see the radar for the last 5 days. It is basically a Dark Sky clone. That's where their data comes from.

I've really liked this app until. This app is great but now that appearance customizations are gone ("climacons" I think is how they were spelled), I had a knee jerk reaction to cancel my subscription. Those icons made the app clean and easy to use. Also the length of the forecast summaries is very long now, it seems. Wish I could customize this app, again. That's what set it apart from many weather apps have all the same look to them. That made it stand out. Now it looks like the rest (with a great feature set).

Has Potential / Falls Short. The iOS version has potential but the GUI layout is a little awkward compared to both the other available options and the macOS and tvOS versions. It’s also buggy. The app was reluctant to change locations, agonizingly slow when it did, and often required restarts on both my iPhone and iPad. And the subscription levels are very expensive, especially because you need a separate subscription for your desktop and iOS versions. Strangely, however, the tvOS version is a one time purchase at $3.99. While its GUI is also a little awkward and occasionally inconsistent, it is at least reasonably priced. If they fix the bugs which cause lag and give it a reasonable pricing structure (one time fee preferred), I’d definitely use it. Until then, it’s not worth the significant cost.

Updated review. Watch app still unreliable. Had updated my review because I started using the watch complications again due to the developer giving a response to my review saying that a recent update had fixed the issue. I updated my review too soon because I am having the same issue again. Back to the normal weather for my watch Original review: “Love all the customization his app lets you do and I’ve decided it’s my favorite looking weather app and I’d love to use it for along time. With that being said every 2 or so days when I remove my Apple Watch for charging and then put it back on the watch can’t receive anything from the app..? But then when I click the empty bars it makes on my watch face under “fore cast bar” it will try to open the app for about 3-5 seconds and crash no matter how many times I try it and the main face of my watch still only says “forecast bar” and lots of lines. Please update to get around this issue because everything else about the app I love but I won’t be able to continue using it if I have to power off and restart my watch every time I get done charging it which honestly sometimes doesn’t even fix it. Will Change to 5 stars if fixed”

LOVE THIS APP!. Long-time user of forecast bar. It is my go-to weather app. It has the best layout and features of any weather app I’ve used, and I’ve used many. We are self-employed landscapers and property managers and couldn’t live without it. the developers are constantly striving to make improvements and they answer any questions or issues very promptly. I wholeheartedly recommend paying a little extra for the new widgets. I’ve installed two of them and they’re very useful.

Highly customizable, clean interface, accurate data. Key points; highly customizable, accurate data, great customer service from devs. Great app. I love this app because it can be tailored to suit your own taste. The interface is clean in general, and you can add or remove fields on information if you want more or less to be visible from a glance. I think this app is worth the subscription, though many people want everything for free. Most weather apps have a boring or gaudy UI, are somewhat accurate, and have ads, with an option to pay to remove ads... that’s all. ForecastBar has served me perfectly. I’ve used Accuweather, The Weather Channel app, and the Apple Weather app, among others. Forecast Bar beats them all hands-down. The developers even went above and beyond for me with a recent update: I have my version of the app customized to avoid affecting my night vision (light discipline. red text on black) but a prior update made the phone go bright white while loading, which defeated my purposes. I emailed the developers, and they made the screen go black on startup instead of white. Problem solved, and most other people probably didn’t realize, or necessarily care, but it made a huge difference for me. Forecast Bar has never given me much of a reason to complain. Even when I did have an issue, though minor, it was fixed within days. Definitely a satisfied customer!

Watch app still does not work properly.. Paid subscriber. The watch face complication often shows the weather from hours or days ago which can get confusing. This can be sometimes remedied by opening the watch app but even that often only shows a loading icon. Opening the iOS app usually helps the watch app catch up but that defeats the purpose of the watch app. I sent this info to the developer weeks ago to which they told me the latest update takes care of this issue, though I had already installed that update. I followed their suggestions of changing the data source, deleting the app, restarting my devices, etc, which I did at least twice. The watch app is still not functioning on its own.

Best Weather App. After using this app, I deleted all the rest and it has only gotten better over time. Now, the app is highly customizable and includes lock-screen widgets. Hats off the team of two developers. Did I mention the app is available on every Apple device? Yeah, I even installed it on my Apple TV. Cheers

Bait and switch. When I downloaded this app because of the iMessage features, it wasn't clear at all that this was for a trial period, then if I want to keep the functionality, I have to pay. It's a bait and switch and I'm super turned off. It doesn't matter how much I liked the app in iMessage, on my phone, my Apple Watch, whatever, I'm not going to pay to play. It's a shame too, as the app gave me most of what I was looking for, but I'm not interested in having to pay every year to unlock functionality on my phone, then extra for functionality on my watch. Had this app been a pay once and up front for everything sort of app, I'd have very strongly considered it, as it's what I'm looking for, but like I said, the bait and switch nature of their sales pitch has completely turned me off. I get a week of functionality for free? Ridiculous. It's on me for not being aware of this from the get go? Yeah, but honestly, when you're downloading sometjing for use in iMessage, are you usually taking the time to read all of the details? No! Deleting and going back to the other paid apps I use that don't bait and switch like this junk.

Amazing Stock Replacement. I’ve been looking for a weather replacement app for a while now and stumbled across Forecast Bar. Its been amazing so far and have already paid for the subscription. Developers have been quick with fixes and additions, looking forward to the growth of this app and community 🌧️ ☀️

Dates not shown and two other deficiencies. It’s generally fine, but I believe users would better correlate the forecast with respect to their schedule, especially the extended one, if the date of each day were shown. To be fair, it is accessible, but it’s by tapping on the left column, which would be fine. The problem is that when doing so other data is lost and one can’t view both fields of data together. They list the high temperature first, and then the low in the extended forecast. While there may be a few days, especially in the fall, when the temperature steadily declines throughout the day, typically the temperature is lowest around sunrise and highest in the late afternoon, the former of which comes first. Merely a minor annoyance for me, but may be more significant for those who are on an odd schedule up and more alert after midnight. From midnight for up to four hours, only eleven days, as opposed to fourteen, are shown on the extended forecast. Believe I have mentioned all of this, and possibly more that may be escaping me, to them in contact efforts, but have yet to see any change. Hope this is of some help. Thanks

Updated Review. Accurate and customizable. Best weather app I’ve found and I’ve tried at least 6. Customizable, great watch app, and outstanding support. (Got hung up on the new IOS widget functionality, no app issues just an Apple issue) I’ve been searching for a weather app that was accurate, allowed for use of my Netatmo weather station and a great watch interface and this app has it all. Took some time to figure out the app settings but well worth the time. Keep the updates and features coming.

Not sure what’s going on. Either the developers mess with the app too much or they just can’t get it right. I paid for the app because it now totally does not work without paying. But even then, the watch only updates the weather when I open the app on the phone. Making it pointless and no better then any other weather app. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it works after an update and then after another update it doesn’t. Right now it doesn’t.

Awesome Weather App. I have been using this app for years and it has been one of the best apps out there. Recently, the developers released an update for the app that made it even more incredible! This update included a host more features that greatly improved the usability and the overall experience of using the app. The user interface is now much more intuitive compared to the old version, making it both accessible and efficient. The new features have opened up many possibilities that weren’t available previously; it’s now possible to synchronize data across multiple devices, and they’ve added new tools and functions that weren’t previously available. In addition, the app is now much more secure, with end-to-end encryption and support for two-factor authentication. This has taken it from being a good app to being an excellent and secure app. I’ve never been so impressed with an app update before! This new version of the app has truly taken it from being a good app to a great one. I highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a reliable, secure, and easy to use app.

Forecast bar rocks (again!). My faith in forecast bar as great top weather app has been restored! Like many others, I was really disappointed by the "exciting update" of Feb 2023 - I felt it was a huge step backwards. Fortunately it turned out that it was rolled out more or less as a global beta test (though this wasn't super-clear st the time...) and there have been massive improvements since then. Since those post-beta changes, we Forecast bar is once again my go-to weather app. Thanks for listening to us, forecast bar!!

Love it. This is by far the best weather app I've ever used (and I've tried a lot)! The UI is easy to use, has lots of data, and more importantly the forecast is accurate. UPDATE - Removing two stars... the problem(s) I have is this app is not at accurate as it used to be, also if there is a 16% chance of rain on a given day the icon shows rain when in reality the likely hood of rain is very low. This has led to having to tap on a given day and scroll right to find out when exactly the slim possibility of rain will occur. Very annoying!

Excellent App AND Customer Support!. I've used Forecast Bar for a few years now, it works well between my iPhone and Apple watch. It's been great. A few weeks ago I noticed the temperature on my watch was stuck at 49F but accurate on my phone. I sent an email to Forecast Bar on SUNDAY 5/16 at 5:30pm and recieved a reply in 6 minutes! Incredible support and great advice on how to reset it. It's like the team of Derek and Jason we're waiting to help. Simply incredible!

Nice little app, but.... ...it doesn't update properly on my Apple watch. I set the complication to show on the bottom of the face and that seems to update properly. However, when I press on it to expand it and see the other data, it doesn't update at all. It seems I have to open the app on my phone in order for it to update on my watch. For example, on the face of my watch it says the temp is 73°. When I press on it, it shows the temp is 68°. (It is currently 73° and hasn't been 68° in a couple of hours.) Other than that, it seems to be a nice little app.

Complication issues. Have to daily restart either watch or phone in order to get both devices to reflect the same weather conditions been happening for a while, was hoping developer would do an update to correct this issue that I am a lot of other reviewers are having. I have a renewal next month and seriously considering not renewing

Best Weather App Yet!. I was a long time user of another app that decided to mess up a good thing a couple of years ago and completely change their UI and UX, and offer no support when queried, which lost them this customer. Since then, I’ve been looking for a new app. I work in public safety, and it’s beyond being a weather geek that I know what the weather is somewhere in my jurisdiction, and what it is predicted to do. And I like to use my watch to do it. (I never said I wasn’t a weather geek...). After two years of looking for something that updated reliably and proved to be accurate, with a customizable UI so that I’m looking at data that is relevant to me, I found it. Forecast Bar. As far as support - I’ve emailed Derek and Jason a few times with questions about how to do something, or since the latest UI and UX update, suggestions or requests going forward to make it more of what *I* want (self serving, I know) and have received responses within minutes - and from a real person, not a bot. Better yet, they e incorporated a couple of the suggestions! If you’re looking for an all’s round great weather app, spend the money, get Forecast Bar - you will not be disappointed.

Awesome app.. The app itself is great. It works great with my watch, it updates like it’s supposed to. Allot of other third party apps don’t due that for me. Looks great on my phone also. Many different icon options also. My only issue with the app is I’ve already paid for the Dark Sky App, why am I paying for this app made by the same company? Pretty expensive if you ask me.

Basics: great. Extras: poor.. The app does what it’s supposed to do on the iPhone and iPad. In fact it does so a skosh better than most other apps of its kind. A clean and customizable interface along with little “above and beyond” items (like the temperature on the app icon) make it a pleasure to use in the phone. It’s a bit annoying that the icon looks like its for a water intake tracking app (see: just about every water intake tracking app in the store; their stickers icon would be better) but that’s minor. Tha Apple Watch is a different story. I’m a paid (annual) Full Access + Watch subscriber but the watch app doesn’t even show up. I’ve written to the dev multiple times and received no response at all. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt. An app that doesn’t give what you paid for, and a dev that won’t even respond to requests for support doesn’t merit a good rating, even when the basics of the app are fine.

Great Weather app for customization. There are so many weather apps out there, but this one is not only sleek and accurate, but super customizable, and tons of available data points and features for those that want a little more than just the forecast. One of the few apps I find the subscription cost more than worth it for what you get.

Latest rewrite ugh. Updated review: They have improved (restored) the appearance now, provided you have time to tweak all the settings, but the need to go through all that again after an update is a pain. That's why I'll let the review below stand. (I'm also no longer receiving any pollen data. Changevin their data source? I don't (or no longer) see a setting for that, so who knows..) PREVIOUS: Maybe I'll grow to like the rewrite, but right now I can say that having to redo all my settings and get used to the new, far less polished look wasn't much fun. Color me irritated. Things are too busy now and thus less useful. All the backgrounds are busy too. Accessory and usability have taken big hits. Have unsubscribed after years of regular usage.

Fantastic App, it’s my go-to wx app daily!. Love Forecast Bar and appreciate how much they’ve refined their reliability, speed and app performance over the years. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of effort into refinement to make the app work great. As a pilot, weather is a huge part of my daily life and this app does a great job of giving a quick overview. Nice job guys!

Trial version then zero information. I like the app and the watch complications. After a week it blocked ALL information and functionality. Not clear at all that this is a trial only. The message Trial ended and subscription Ad is all I see now. Why not a model with some basic services with an upgrade option. Now I feel like they scammed me and in not sure I want to send them my money. Similar reviews from others now that I look. Only option now is to delete this app and move on to one of the other 50 or so weather apps.

Weather or not 🤨. I really like it, but I think it needs a few tweaks , there’s just something off about the layout, I have several different weather apps because you really don’t get accurate weather, carrot and weather live I tend to enjoy using along with this app for a general overview of what’s happening lol

Weather App to Have. I have quite a few weather apps and all of them are in the four star rating. I keep checking for a better weather app all the time since they keeping better. Forecast Bar is the app to have I’ve been using the for several weeks now and love it. After using it for a week there was one thing missing I thought the app needed relating to UV index for the day. Love the app so much I wrote to the developer and suggested an app feature, well I’m bad the app already had it and I missed it. Even learned something new. By the way I got a speedy return on my question. Love it try it out. Lot of different customization to the app.

An excellent weather app. I find this weather app extremely accurate. I’ve compared it to several other iPhone weather apps side-by-side, and it consistently has the most up-to-date information. It will also say things like “rain beginning or ending at such and such a time” and invariably it is correct. It’s predictions for temperature and weather a week out also seems on the mark (as much as one can predict that far in the future.) It’s easy to add or delete cities, and as I travel quite a bit, I find the forecast for domestic and international city is also very accurate. The developers seem to be continually trying to improve the app; this is a good thing. So I fully recommend Forecast Bar.

Nice app with (affordable) personal weather station support. A good app with a great feature, support for Netatmo personal weather stations. Most of my daily weather and forecast data come from a weather service, but my Netatmo station is far more accurate about what temperature it actually is at my house. Forecast uses my station to “override” the current temp, giving me the best of both worlds. Even more important was the terrific support the Forecast team gave me when I had trouble figuring out how to configure my station. The user interface for that _could_ use a little work (or better, easier to find doc), but I received multiple personal responses to my questions until I had it figured out. Responsive support is rare these days, and a treasure. Very happy with this app, and the team behind it.

Good app but bad widget. I love the app but the widget refused to load properly at first. The widget loads with no graphics. It will launch and open properly. I’ve tried multiple times to edit the widgets, deleting the old and installing the new and it still won’t load properly. After several more attempts to load the new widget, it now won’t load at all. I have cycled power on my iPad to see if it would reload, to no avail. If widgets are important for you then, you’ll have to use another weather app. This current version widget simply doesn’t work.

The most accurate. I have used this app for over a year and absolutely satisfied it rarely is wrong. Better than a app at local tv stations. I have used app for a year now and I don’t like the change right now maybe later if I don’t change my mind I might delete and go to another weather app. N I have had the updated app a couple days. It won’t let me put my actual location permanently. Keeps going to whatever location is at the top of location screen in settings which is wrong and it needs to be eliminated and only what the user puts in like the old app did. Also needs too have the background color preferences put back instead of light gray or dark gray !!!!!!! Update on the above post. The developer has already made some much needed improvements. The issues I mentioned have been for the most part fixed and the app is now working much better than before. I am going to recommend keeping it now because the problem’s that I mentioned that gave information seep about weather conditions are more accurate to location i’m in. Forecast Bar Review. Exceptional Weather Forecast App I value the direction you are moving with the development with this already exceptional tool I use for planning my 10 day schedule. You app has a consistent high degree of accuracy. The quality of your design and development makes for easy use, information analysis, and decision making. v/r

Love the app but frustrated with Dark Mode implementation. Been using this app for a couple years now and it’s high quality with a lot of good details and customization. However, now that dark mode is baked into iOS13, I find myself disappointed with the current implementation and my inability to get my in-app weather screen to embrace the loveliness that is Dark Mode. The app reflects Dark Mode within the settings screens of the app and on the widgets, but the in-app weather screen (where all your forecasts and such are) it does not (I’d love to be wrong and have missed some quirky detail here). I think this is where the customization backfires because I can only get my app to display in a mid-range grey colored background. Technically I could try to achieve a fully black background by creating my own background pack via the customization (and I have) but even this I cannot get to work and so I’m left without Dark Mode support in the one place in the app that I really, really want it. And so I think it’s a bit of a stretch to say that the app supports this new iOS feature when it isn’t done app-wide. Again, I’d love to be wrong here, but until I can get the app fully Dark, I’m not feeling it. Will update to 5* if/when the developers adjust their implementation to fully embrace Dark Mode app-wide.

This app reminds me of the one snapped up by Apple!. Remember the weather app that was snapped up by Apple? Well, if this app keeps going Apple will snap it up too! It’s just that good! The many ways you can customize it keeps growing with every update so you can make it your own and it’s organized to make it pleasing to the eyes. Plus it does a fantastic job of giving you so many weather points, your friends will swear you’re a meteorologist! Really! When I say it will be snapped up by Apple like Dark Sky was is because when Dark Sky kept getting better and better, Apple took notice and bought it! I was just beginning to enjoy Dark Sky too! I won’t say whether Apple’s integration was good or bad but Forecast Bar is my favorite weather app and I hope it gets better and better for awhile before it gets eaten up by a bigger entity! The app for the iMac is amazing too! Thanks for working on this app guys!

Extremely Disappointed. Discovered Forecast Bar early this morning. I was excited about some specific complications for my new Apple Watch Series 5 and all the other things offered by a seemingly well designed and popular app. After a couple of hours I was impressed enough to go ahead and purchase the Premium Subscription; mainly, so I could use the awesome watch features of Forecast Bar. Well, here I am about 12 hours later, and I have discovered that the app is stupid slow on both my watch and my phone. The phone app and the iPad app freeze on a regular basis causing me to quit and restart. The watch app doesn’t show data in the watch complications on a regular basis. I’ve read the FAQ item about this problem and followed all of the developer’s guidelines for remedy. As is, I have to manually refresh the watch app quite often so the watch complications will show data. When you look at a watch face, you want information at that instant – not after having to mess with some software. Also, the iPad version of Forecast Bar keeps alerting me that it is not connected to a watch – so, I can’t change some settings which means I don’t have full use of the iPad app. I know an iPad doesn’t work with an Apple Watch like an iPhone does, but having a less than fully functioning app is very disappointing. I hope this app can be fixed very soon. Otherwise, I will just have to delete Forecast Bar and move on to something else. Nobody has time for tech like this.

Incredibly in depth- lots of potential. I absolutely love how customizable this app is and all its features. I used to love Storm Radar before the weather channel bought it and ruined it. It’s been a lot of apps since then and they’re all disappointing. I even bought the carrot weather app and found myself like “soo this is what everyone is raving about?” Thank you for an actually useful app that translates well on to my Apple Watch. My biggest thing I’d like to see is a pressure chart, I want to see how the pressure is changing through the day not just a description of where it is and where it’s going. I suffer from migraines and this chart is invaluable.

Very good weather app. I’ve tried several weather apps and have found this one to be about the best. I don’t live in a city so some of the apps don’t get my area’s weather very well. This one is typically very accurate. It also has all of the features and information that you need. It’s customizable which is a plus.

Can’t use app AT ALL w/o Premium. Former Premium subscriber — had to cut costs for a little while. Still, I kept the app on my phone, and would now like to revisit/reevaluate it to determine whether or not it’s worth resubscribing to. Problem is: the app won’t let me see ANYTHING without a premium subscription. An ad-supported interface for “free” users would be one thing, but not being able to access the app at all without paying? Forecast Bar’s really working against itself by wasting a huge opportunity to show users what the app has to offer.🚮

Watch App Unreliable. I love the iOS app, as it is full featured and easy to customize, however, once I configure the watchOS app, it works fine forts few hours and then it just displays 0 degrees in the complication. If I access the app, the data is correct, so I assume the issue is with the complication itself. The problem occurs in other compilations as well. This has been an issue since I purchased the app…this would otherwise be a 5 star review. As of now, I no longer use Forecast Bar because I am one who needs a reliable watch app. Please fix this, or I will definitely not renew my subscription when it expires.

Widget seems to be working now. Update: Forecast Bar widget is working again on newest iPad Pro with iOS17. Thanks! Previous review: This is my go-to app for all-things weather; the widget resides on my iPad Home Page. I got the yearly subscription plan, which is affordable. Receive a multitude of weather alerts of your choice and view current and future conditions, with a pretty animated background and attractive interface. Highly recommended!

Long time user until…. I was a long time user of the app until the accuracy declined. This used to be the most accurate app up until recently. Then for whatever reason, the app would say we were to have no precipitation but we were having 6 inches of snow dumped on us. We were also having a blizzard, and the app would say nothing about that, but just that we had a slight chance of precipitation. We couldn’t drive on the roads and businesses closed down for the day. Things like that. I’ve now moved on to another app that’s been much more accurate.

Nice to see a weather app for MacOS, iOS, and WatchOS. I have always been interested in weather but have wanted a forecast app for all three platforms. Forecast Bar provides for all Apple platforms and allows the choice of two excellent sources of data - either The Weather Company or Dark Sky. The interface is very configurable and is essentially the same on a Mac or iPhone. There are separate subscriptions for the MacOS and iOS platforms (the iOS subscription covers Apple Watch) but their rates aren't prohibitively expensive. I really like what Forecast Bar has done. It might be nice to someday be able to choose from multiple locations on WatchOS but that's such a small point as to make it a non-issue. Great job Higher Bar!

Simply The Best - Get It. Forecast Bar is simply the best weather app out there. There are a lot of weather apps out there...but Forecast Bar is my go to app. And has been for a long time. The Developers are very responsive to my questions and app help. As well as being nice guys. For both phone and watch integration this app is seamless. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

Great functionality, but.... The interface and functionality are wonderfully detailed, both on the phone and my watch. I love the customization and widget functionality. The weather is very accurate and I love the alert customization. My only gripes, which sadly, are deal breakers for me are 1) The radar is very slow to load compared to other apps such as My Radar and The Weather Channel. And 2) I can't use this app on my apple watch (series 3) without having to connect to my phone's Bluetooth! Every other weather app I've used allows me to use them without my phone needing to be present, why doesn't this one! If you make this app standalone usable with the apple watch, I will give it five stars and make it my go-to weather app.

Update ruined a great app. For the life of me I don’t understand why developers just decide to roll out a complete app makeover in an update when everything was perfect the way it was, which is likely why you have so many subscribers. This app was clean and simple but now it looks cluttered and does not function smoothly. Your options to customize the background are limited now which looks terrible. I keep changing settings but they keep resetting to default and the annoying purple pop up tips banner has to go. And every time I open the app I get the spinning wheel for way too long. Why can’t you just leave well enough alone instead of rolling out useless updates and losing subscribers starting with me.

Especially great for Apple Watch support. This is a great weather app for Apple users because it gives a consistent, highly configurable, interface for detailed weather information on Macs, iPads, iPhones, and Apple Watches. That’s the reason I originally started using it, but nowadays the most important reason is the myriad of complications for the Watch. I use it as the large center complication for the Infograph Modular face. This rectangle can be configured (1) as a graph showing the next few hours of any one of 11 types of weather data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, or precipitation chance. (2) As a table showing conditions and a choice of weather data for the next five hours/days. (3) As 3 lines of text showing current and upcoming weather data of your choice. But wait, there’s more, and my real reason for using this app. One of these 3 lines can show your next appointment! This isn’t weather data; why would I want this? Because I use every other complication position for something else and have no complication space for appointments. Two lines of data are sufficient for me to see the weather so mixing in the appointment line with the weather lines solves my hoarding of complications.

Changed my subscription!. I paid for the full subscription which gave me access to all the layers on the map. A new update and feature set now requires me to pay for an additional subscription to get access to the layers I initially had! REFUND ME PLEASE!

A goodie!. Weather geek that I am, I've used many apps. Forecast Bar now resides on my home page and provides me with several useful additions to my other fav apps. I especially like the maps spanning the past into the future as well as the daily graphing of weather variables. However, I'm puzzled as to why wind direction is not included in these otherwise excellent daily graphs. At least where I've lived, wind direction is hugely important. Four stars.

Great great great mac and iPhone weather combo. I have loved weatherbar for Mac for a long time. It is perfect. To have it now for my phone is great! Especially since dark sky.app never was possible to get in Canada. Forecast.io is a great service to power these greatly designed apps. Highly recommended.

Great app. Love the widgets but one thing for the daily forecast medium sized widget could you possibly put in an option for one average temperature for each day instead of high and low like some other weather apps

Best weather app but…. I'm a big fan of weather apps and have used many over the years. My job demands accurate weather reports. I find this app to be the best I've ever used for so many reasons. Soon as it prompted me for a subscription I was immediately disappointed. Why can't you just charge a flat 1 time fee for the app and I would oblige, within reason. So looks like I'm back to the hunt for another app. It's not that the subscription fee is expensive, I'm just not a fan of these types of apps that have recurring fees.

'Feels like' calculation needs work. Nice app but the number displayed in the 'Feels like' is way off. If the current temp is 23C and the humidity is 82% the Humidex reading is 27C not the 23C that is displayed. Please fix.

Doesn’t work. App says I need a silver subscription to get widgets. I bought a silver subscription. I still don’t have widgets. I have no idea how to fix this.

Nice but Deceiving. Very nice weather app , but it's very deceiving. I got it free from a download of the day website and worked awesome for a couple of days until the new update on Oct, 22. Now after the new update it won't work now because it wants me to buy it. That really sucks. Another app with a hidden secret and agenda! DELETE!!

Forecast bar lives in a dream world.... ... where people actually want to pay a subscription fee for a weather app! A WEATHER APP! Come on guys. Totally ridiculous

Inaccurate. It is so difficult finding a weather app that doesn't include my small town with the closest major city. I have no choice but to select the city which is a half hour drive away and then I get completely inaccurate weather notifications. I went to see what time a storm was starting the other day and Forecast Bar said 0% chance of rain for the next week. Well, any other app said differently and it rained steady for two days. So annoyed I already paid for it on my Apple TV but at least I can save my money and not subscribe on my phone and Mac.

To developers, AppleWatch bug. First, I love your application, and use it on all my devices. BUT for the Apple Watch complication, a strange bug occurs after one month (more or less) of use. The watch seems connected to the iPhone, the iPhone shows that there is no connection. The Apple Watch battery depletes in a few hours, and even a reboot does not solve the connection issue. Only a complete full reinstall solves the problems I had Apple techs level 2 contact me, and the culprit is the Apple Watch complication for forecast bar. It seems that there is a problem that happens after a while. Removing the complication and the app from the Apple Watch solved every problem (2 month testing and still connected, no problems at all) I hope you wil be able to solve this problem. Continue your great work on the forecast bar app, it’s awesome (despite the Apple Watch complication problem.) Another problem on Apple Watch série 4 and watchOS 5 : alerts make the watch REBOOT every single time. Removing app and canceling subscription. Cheers !

No working Celsius on the watch app. Apart from the lack of celsius readings on the watch (setting is there but broken) this is the best of 10 that I’ve tried -other than the most expensive apps. You can choose The Weather Companies’s data which is the best by far in Alberta. Reasonably priced, wonderful phone app and very accurate.

Very well designed app. I love it.. This app, with its widget, was beautifully built. It does exactly what you want it to do—tell you what the weather’s going to be for the day—in an efficient, visually-elegant way... which you can customize to your liking. I got the Silver subscription: yes it costs seven bucks a year or whatever, but I’m going to be looking at this app, and it’s lovely little widget, every day so (for me anyway) it’ll be well worth it.

Hidden Subscription Cost. After using app and liking how it works it surprise forces you to buy a subscription. I choose to delete apps that do that.

Wow!. I wasn’t happy with the recent rebuild, and let them know with a detailed email. They responded to me right away, and this new and fast patch has fixed all of my major complaints, and most of my minor gripes. Well done. What bothered me most was that for a long time I felt this app was one of a few that I considered perfect, and the rebuild took that away. They have quickly returned it to perfect. Thanks 👍🏼

I would give it five stars if. There’s a problem with the widgets when you update the app the widgets don’t show up the the shop a blank screen and when you turn your phone off and on again sometimes the widgets don’t show up and I’ll be at them and they still don’t show up please fix it would it need a lot of fixing in this app and then it would get five stars I got it just for the widgets and they don’t all work all the time

The BEST I’ve Used!. After using it for a week I can say it’s well thought out, but the price of the ‘gold’ plan is questionable. The app doesn’t do much more than others that are free. Plus the App Store shows plans ranging from 49 cents to $20! How do you know which plan to buy?

Watch to slow to update. Temperature on watch doesn't update frequently enough even though I have it set to fast.

My go-to. Spot-on forecasting, and now with improved design and functionality —- also responsive design team.

Highly Customizable. Clean interface with extremely accurate local forecasts. Dozens of widgets to choose from. Unbelievable level of support considering it’s just two people. I recently identified a bug unique to my device and it was acknowledged and a new version pushed to the App Store in under 48 hours. Unreal.

Widget does not reflect the app settings. I like the app a lot for many reasons. One of the very useful features is that it allows you to choose your radar. The Dark Sky is pretty accurate for my area so I choose that one. However, the widget still defaults to the Weather Company on iPad, which makes the widget feature very useless no matter how versatile it is. Can the developers look into this issue please? Otherwise, the app is a five star app.

Still crashes *Edit Works Great Now!. Just updated 6.0.1 and it’s still crashing on iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 12.4.7 *edit- I have now updated to 6.0.2 and it no longer crashes on opening but once I go to the Settings page and hit any of those 5 buttons, it crashes. I just purchased the full subscriptions for Mac, iOS and AppleTV. I’m happy with your apps. I’m sure you’ll solve the Settings page bug shortly. *edit 2- v6.0.3 is working great on this iPhone now. Cependant, je déplore la traduction en français qui est incomplète et qui contient des erreurs. C’est désagréable pour un francophone. C’est la raison principale pour ne pas attribuer une cinquième étoile! Merci de faire des efforts pour améliorer cet aspect lors des prochaines versions.

Lost. If you are looking for a weather app that cannot determine where you are, and is supported by developers who don't answer email when you inform them of the bugs, then this is the app for you. The Mac version may be good, but I do not feel the least bit inclined to find out. A dismal offering, not worth buying.

Best weather app. I’ve been using this app for a few years and the precipitation amount predictions are spot on. I love that it can have so much detail when I choose to see and when I want a quick overview I get that two. The devs are great and respond very quickly. Also this has a great Apple Watch app as well.

Shockingly good. Update Dec 31/2020 3 years in and still loving this app! I've tried just about every weather app known to man. I only used it for a short time when I realised that this app is worthy of a meagre subscription. The amount of information provided is incredible and sooooo easy to access. Look no further.

Keeps reporting bad weather!. This would be the best weather app ever if only they would stop reporting bad weather! I look at this app before I get out of bed and what do you know, bad weather ie thirty below zero, blowing snow. Can't you report good weather sometimes, even if you have to make it up? Going down hill. This used to be an elegant and simple app. Now you've. added a ton of premium content that just makes it necessary to close and reopen almost every time I use it. You have me looking for a replacement. How about rather than trying to add levels of payment you focus on not breaking things for your already paying customers.

Watch Complications Don’t Work. Beware before you pay for this app. Watch complications are supposed to be a paid feature but they don’t work. They just display “0” all the time and never update. Developer has been unresponsive about fixing fir 5+ months.

Good overall app. Good overall weather app and customizable with proper subscription tier. Weather alerts notifications speed can use some work. They are definitely slower than other apps. I bought subscription for MAC OS platform which indicated cross device subscription. Worked for a while on iPhone and iPad but now when I open app it brings me to subscription screen. Hmmmm!

Plz release a legacy version. Newest/current version is very awkward, cluttered, with new features both broken and/or inaccurate and/or complete fail. Too numerous to list here. This new version 10.0.1 is unusable in so many ways. More than happy to cancel subscription and just use Apple weather, which has massively improved with recent iOS updates. It would be great if developer could release a legacy version and goes back to the previous iteration.

Nice update. Somehow, the developers have managed to squeeze every type of weather data into an easy to read format. Being able to select each bubble for a deeper dive into the details is a nice touch.

Fixed after update!. This app has been fixed on last update! Worth the $ to subscribe! My one wish is to be able to set your weather source. I know it uses dark sky, but apps like hello weather give you a choice. I’d rather change to The Weather Channel for the forecast!

My favorite weather app!. Finally settled in Forecast Bar after using many others over the years. This app gives me all the information I need in an organized way that makes sense to me! The widget is slow to update but this app keeps getting better!

Please bring the radar back to the watch app. App is great. I left it after the radar was removed from the watch app and turned to Carrot Weather. I keep coming back hoping to see it restored and it never is. Just wish I didn’t have to subscribe just to find out that basic function is still missing.

Watch Complication Has Become Too Complicated. Since the latest update I can't get Watch complication to work. Stays blank. Edit: Now home face complication shows five day forecast, but the forecast is not for my location, but when I tap it shows forecast for my location. Weird. Like I said, too complicated. Wasted my money.

Awesome updates!. I live in an unpredictable climate, yet Forecast Bar has been very accurate despite it. I like the summery report for each day, including the amount of precipitation. The home widget option are fun. This is a fantastic app.

The latest update with your own backgrounds are a home run. They have started out slow but it’s about quality not quantity. Great weather app.

Great app. I’m a weather enthusiast and have many weather Apps. I love this App. As my go to weather source with the ability to customize it to your liking makes it more user friendly. However I’ve not changed anything yet awesome!!

Worthless for actual weather.. The app looks very good and there are tons of customization options. Unfortunately, the weather conditions and forecast are almost always completely wrong. Once there was a snow storm outside and the app was reporting sunny weather. The temperature is usually off by 2-5C. When comparing the information with other 4 or 5 apps, this one is the one that seems to be wrong. I contacted the developer and they told me that a choice of different weather providers would be available, but so far no luck. So, pretty but useless.

Regularly updated and gives all the data I need. This is the most complete and full featured weather app. I live in California so I also need air quality reports cuz of the fires. This app gives me all I need to manage my time outside. The best of the best

daily summary notice displays wrong values U.K. mode. Daily morning forecast push notification is in Fahrenheit actual units while labeled as Celsius in U.K. mode only. it will push notification 68 degrees Celsius on morning forecast when it is 20 degrees Celsius. All degrees on morning forecast are in this wrong format in U.K. mode. Metric mode works correctly.

More Attractive Than Ever. This app is more attractive than it has ever been. The information is so much easier to read as the vibrant color makes it stand out. However, the app’s radar feature is difficult to read and needs improvement.

The best. I have 7 weather apps and this one is the best. The only thing it’s missing is keeping the actual weather for the day as the day goes on in the daily summary. Otherwise it’s pretty much flawless.

Forecasting weather is not easy. With so many variables that make the local weather I would say an accurate forecast is almost impossible. Your forecasts are as accurate as any I’ve seen.

Disappointed, buyer beware, questionable customer support. Downloaded app with 7 day free trial. Apple Watch app not working on my series 4 watch. Contacted support and they responded saying that the watch only works with the paid version and asked if I was still on my free trial. I responded right away, but haven’t received a response. Emailed two more times, still waiting for a response or a resolution, been at least 3 days now. Going to let the free trial expire and will not purchase. Be aware before you spend anything, you may be as disappointed as me.

This is the one. After using several weather apps, this is the one that is most accurate, timely and informative. However much info you want, or not, this is THE one. Graphically pleasing and easy to use. It has proven invaluable these last few days, especially, during this period of rough weather.

Nice Weather Widget. I’ve been using Forecast Bar for about 8 or 9 days and I really like it. Clean and informative. Had a little trouble with it the other day and shot an email to Support for help. Got a response within a couple hours and was up and running again. Good experience!

Inconsistently broken. Don't buy. Random things don't work with no reason why. Widgets are busted. Very buggy. Developer blew off my email reporting a broken menu. Don't buy. Update: The app is updated, and the developers gave me a good excuse for answering my email so late. Adjusted to 4 stars for good faith.

Amazing app and support. This is the best, easiest to use, easiest to set up, and most accurate weather app I’ve ever subscribed to, and I have subscribed to many. support is quick and very helpful. Their source for data is the most accurate I’ve ever used. I can’t recommend it enough. Andy.

Stopped working on Apple Watch. This was a good app until it became useless. No longer displays data on my watch. Problem started a few weeks ago. Tried all suggested tricks to resolve the problem but the fixes inly lasted a few hours at best. Today it doesn't work at all. I have the silver subscription. Useless. App on my iPhone is fine. Developer suggested downloading most recent version. That worked for less than two days. Although there seems to be longer periods of working until it shows no data.

Best Weather App. This is easily the best weather app out there — at least for me. I’ve checked out the other major ones. UI is fantastic and dynamic. It’s amazingly accurate. Its highly customizable. It’s very engaging — not boring or cutesy like others. The Apple Watch app is great too.

Money grabbers. Emailed developer to inform him that his app was not working properly with the new Apple iOS/initiated changes for Home Screen widgets. Never emailed me back after I sent him a video showing what it was doing. But he sure immediately seized the opportunity to only include the new Home Screen widgets with his silver and gold pay subscriptions only (of course I have the bronze plan). So not only does he not get an upgrade to my current subscription I have had for years, he gets nothing going forward. Forecast bar deleted. Happy ex-customer.

Great for flying. Perfect collection of basic essentials for flying. Gotta think you thought of that I can even type in 4 letter airport identifiers for locations. Forecast ceilings would be nice, but accurate winds, dew point and basic weather at your fingertips 2 weeks out is impressive. Thanks!

New Version. Not a fan of the new look - definitely needs improvement especially on iPhone display: bubbles are too big, info is off screen, bubbles are overlapping for example settings overlap locations on display. Annoying pop ups every time I start the app with no way to turn those off (I’m Gold subscribe). The older version looked better.

just upgraded. I am an ex-Carrot user. I made the switch on my phone & Mac & have not looked back. And I just upgraded my silver sub to gold on my phone. The developer is very responsive. I love all of the options for customization! However, I do hope that there could be better documentation on the site. Great app!

Add date and day of week together instead of separate. Would be nice if when you choose to enable the date that it also shows the day of the week like for example Monday or Tuesday as well as including the date such as “Monday June 1st 2021” that would be nice!

Forecast Bar. I love this app!! My job requires a lot of outdoor work and this app has literally come down to the minute when changes in the weather are happening. I’m so glad I found it as it makes my life so much easier to plan my days. I definitely highly recommend it.

Widget is very slow to update location.. You need to determine what the issue with your widget is. I am 2 days in to a location change and it still show the wrong location.

Great update. I have been using and loving this app for years. The recent update is a very nice and worthwhile improvement and is working just fine on my phone. I am really glad the developers are still working to improve the app.

Watch app is unreliable; phone app and widgets are great. If the watch complications were as attractive and reliable as the phone widgets I’d give this five stars, but they’re not. They don’t update reliably, frequently only showing the blank dashes. The graph complication never had worked accurately but doesn’t show an error, just shows the default image.

Nice app but notifications don’t work. I like the app a lot. Lots of flexibility in designing how you want each element to look. My one complaint is with alert notifications. I never get any. It’s currently raining as I write this and I didn’t get a notification. I’ve set it up to give me a daily summary at 7am and it never arrives. I have the paid premium subscription and have notifications for the app turned on

Does not work as advertised. Trialed it on my Mac and it worked good so paid for the subscription mostly based on it being able to work across my devices. I have not been able to get it to work on my iPad it keeps telling me my free trial has ended when my paid subscription clearly shows in the App Store. The subscription does not work on my iPhone either but the app functions but with ads. Have not tried to put it on my TV or watch due to it not working on my other devices.

Excellent app. After DarkSky went to Apple, I needed a new app and this one is so superior to anything I've ever used. Love the interface, the customization, and the ability to change the data points to exactly what I want. Love that they continue to develop the app.

Beautiful iPhone widgets. We were sad to see the Time Machine go but then we found the great widgets and we’re hooked. The data point widget is perfect! Just the info I want without the clutter. Very detailed app screen that’s customizable. It’s a keeper.

Informative, uncluttered, and customizable. Excellent app overall. I really like the customizability of the information displayed in both the iPhone and Watch apps. The simple and straightforward three-line Watch complication is perfect for relevant info at a glance.

Great Development Team. I had what I thought was an impossible problem - FBs wind direction on my Apple Watch would only read NORTH, very unsatisfactory! FBs crack development team of Derek & Jason exchanged emails with me, they corrected the bug fix quickly, communicated with Apple and the latest watchOS 8.5 contains the accurate wind direction. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Awesome App, well done, well supported. I am a weather junkie, i admit it. I try many weather apps and delete most of them. I tried Forecast .... spent time learning the ins/outs ... customizations, etc. with the IOS 13-14 transition I got lost and confused working with widgets. I sent a call for help to support and within a couple of days, with Jason’s help twice, I am a very happy user. Forecast Bar has become my “go to” weather app. Very well done app, customizable, an app for the watch, excellent support, need I say more? Give this one a try ... you will be happy you did. Best Weather App, Great Support!. Have had this app for years and love it, it’s my go to weather app! The recent update surprised me and at first I just wanted the old version back, but change always takes time to get used to. Wrote to the developers and they were quick with a reply and address my concerns.
