Changed several times for same number then disconnected. I wish the concept worked. This is a billing disaster. I have been overcharged several times in the same month for a single yearly Flyp number. There is NO customer service chat online, and no phone number. I started the email case number to complain, and never heard from them. I started a second case/ complaint, and never heard back. It has now been over a month. Not only was I over billed- they then sent a message stating my “trial” was over and my numbers were gone. I am going to have to scrap the whole thing, what a shame. I wish they had a real people to address issues instead of a library of pre-programmed answers that can’t cover all scenarios.

Adds contacts for each call. (User for 1 year with iPhone 8+) Works less than OK, but I’d rather have a second phone next time. 1) Every-time I make a call it saves a new contact with the shield number in my phone (not the Flyp app) for the contact name. And after 12 months I have 127 individual listings for my boss with the shield number. Boo! -I have reported this and they have told me there isn’t anything they can do and what they suggested didn’t work- 2) My contacts won’t transfer over (selected contacts or all) 3) It just dumped my text message cache and won’t save contact info. 4) cannot adjust the volume of the ring and it doesn’t interrupt my music to alert me. I can’t wait until I don’t need this number anymore and can delete the app.

Not bad. Had an issue and customer service corrected it same day. During the down time I found a cheaper alternative with some extra options though 🤷🏽‍♂️

Terrible / Does not work, they continue to charge. They’ve been charging me for months and the phone number is not working. I have contacted their customer service many, many times. No reply. So I have to do chargebacks now through my credit card company. Hope this helps someone else.

Call problems. So whenever someone calls me while I’m playing music, the phone won’t ring. It will give an alert at the top of my phone screen and the music will lower slightly, but if my phone is on silent I would have to be looking at the screen to know I’m receiving a call. Whenever my phone is locked it will actually ring, but still only an alert on the front of the screen, and the incoming alert times out before it even stops ringing on the calling end. Needless to say I’m missing a lot of calls and texts because of this. I’ve tested this by calling my Flyp number myself from another phone, and sometimes the Flyp app will say there is an incoming call even after I’ve already hung up the call. Also there is no way to change the alert sounds or ringtones to something that might alert me better. Please adjust these issues.

Useless. More frustrating than its worth. Paid the extra $30 and still couldn’t access voicemail nor would incoming calls actually connect. I’d randomly be alerted of calls or not even know they’d come in. Very frustrating! When phone calls did come in and I tried to answer them it wouldn’t pick up, but would instead call the number back. I reported the issue a long time ago and requested my subscription be canceled only to be charged again for the service I cannot use. And still no improvement to the service. Not at all worth the cost!

Service disappeared.. I’ve been faithfully paying a monthly fee for several years now. Went to check on a numbers and even though they are listed under my account, they are no longer working. Opened two separate support tickets and nobody responded at all for almost two weeks now. The website and all posts are stale. Do not waste your time with this app or company.

Paid Subscriber, No Service. My service recycles on the 27th of every month. It is now the 4th of November and app is asking me to pay to get service that is already paid for. Please make it make sense! Also, not the first time this has happened!

Don’t use this. I have had Flyp since 2018 and it initially worked well. However it has gotten increasingly buggy and I have missed calls and texts which result in a financial loss because this app is working so poorly. Also I have to break texts I am sending into short sections abd recieve longer texts as multiple texts but out if irder making communication difficult. save yourself and get Google Voice

No phone number. I don’t usually write reviews actually this is my first one but anyways I have an iPod touch and I hate that I don’t have a phone number to be able to text my friends that don’t have an Apple phone/device so I got this app to be able to text them I unfortunately NEEDED A PHONE NUMBER to use this app so I do not recommend this app if you don’t have a phone number

Mediocre service and frequent issues. I have had mediocre service with the app over the past 5 years. While it has some nice features, the lack of being able to customize the contact list and the frequent issues with inbound and outbound calls failing have become a pain point. Customer service used to be responsive, but the last issue report went unanswered. The ongoing issue with the app showing “subscription expired” even though the subscription is paid and showing active in the App Store has not been resolved. The recent loss of saved conversations is the breaking point. I’ve deleted all contacts, cancelled the subscription, and deleted the app.

Can’t receive texts. I’ve contacted the team multiple times for this, they fixed it a few times, but it always goes back to being a problem. I can’t receive or send texts.

Used for my law firm clients. I’ve been with Flyp for about 2 years now and have seen it all— the bugs and welcomed updates. Support has been very helpful throughout my time with Flyp. The app works great to manage and keep separate my law firm clients. It’s also nice to know I can get additional phone numbers instantly at any time when and if needed — something I haven’t been able to do with Sideline.

This thing is a SCAM do not DOWNLOAD. I tried to get the free version but turns out they have been charging me 2,99 every month for the past two years I haven’t been able to contact there support team to ask for cancellation and refund I would not recommend this app to anyone.

People like this should not be able to do business. I’ve reached out several times and got charged for service. I had no success with the use of this application. Don’t waste your money or time.

AAAAlmost had it. The thing I liked the most was that this is the only second phone number app(and I tried like 7) that allowed you to type in landscape mode. I have big hands. My thumb knuckles get cramped from all the portrait mode typing. I really wanted this to work. But the issues I had before giving up were: - Wouldn’t let me dial a number without making it a contact. - When I first made a contact, it wouldn’t let me call or text them. Later it worked. - When I sent my text(landscape mode naturally) and I tried turning my phone back to portrait, it didn’t reformat and was cut off. Later it reformatted. - When I finally called my only contact, it read her as busy when she was right next to me and very much not busy. Did not wait to see if this got fixed later. If it’s been a few years since this review maybe see if these bugs are better, I really want this to succeed, but I can’t afford to wait for it right now.

It needs to be reliable !!!!!. Out of the blue for no reason my subscription was canceled and when I try to manually renew it it doesn’t allow me. Hence I can’t use this number any more. Very disappointed!!!! I got a phone number that only worked for a few months.

Isssues. Issue after issue. First the text logs wouldn’t load for an entire day. Now for multiple days I cannot receive any text message or calls. If I’m paying MONEY for an app, I expect it the app to least do what it’s main function is. And that’s to text... I’m beyond disappointed with this app and will be switching soon if they can’t figure these issues out

Call problem. I don’t know why I can’t call, it’s telling me that they can’t recognize the number below- don’t Flyp out and I can’t also receive call and I don’t know why that is happening please fix this or else I’ll just delete this app

Terrible App. There’s no way I’d recommend this app to anyone. It takes several steps just to answer a call. You can’t control the volume of the ring tone which is very low. It’s time consuming to go back and delete calls as you have to tap each one individually twice just to delete it! Save your money and skip this app. It needs lots of serious work to make it a usable app.

Constantly having to re-install app. At least 3 times a week I can no longer access my contacts until after I have deleted and re-installed the app. When incoming calls actually alert me, which is only about 50%of the time, it won’t let me swipe to answer them. Not to mention the horrible delay time when I am able to answer a call, that the person on the other end is confused as to if I answered. Sloppy performance overall. Please cleanup developers and I will adjust my rating.

Efficient for my business calls. I have used Flyp for 5 months and love the new updates. Navigation through the App is smooth

Local private number at a good price. I’ve enjoyed using this app for awhile now, had a few questions & their customer support was quick to answer them. Even called me on Christmas Eve to follow-up with me.

Switching to something else. The app doesn’t recognize my account and makes me go through the entire sign up process. This happens frequently , I have no clue how to get around it to check my txt messages or voicemail. There is not an account user log in option when the app resets.

Bad bad. I had Flyp for 2 years and have had so many issues but i hung in there. The big one was when I realized that I wasn’t get any calls, so I opened a ticket. Took Flyp 2 weeks to respond to the ticket to tell me that they are sorry that the company they received the numbers from had recalled the telephone number and they had to reissue me a new number. And then they did not act on it again for another 2 weeks. I had to ditch this service. Do not use Flyp. Your business will suffer.

Need my login. I paid $7.99 for this app and when I signed out, I couldn’t see the sign In button again. This app is a waste of time and I need a refund. 0 stars !!!

Hot garbage. This app is about as basic as it gets. I didn’t know that there was a limit on the amount of text messages I could send but I just found that out and there’s no way to rectify that. I can’t send anymore text messages for the next 10 days. What a joke. The contract said unlimited calls and texts but even after paying, I am stuck with no texts.

Local phone numbers? Not so fast.. I just downloaded and tried to set up this app using 2 different area codes where I work. Neither option offered any local numbers, but rather numbers across the country. Not for me, sorry.

Absolutely Horiffic!!. They super glitchy number cancelling issues with this company are literally I believable. Seriously considering a lawsuit as my business has lost thousands of dollars because of a their phone number not being reliable. Now they simply lost my number, I have thousands of business cards out there with this number on it. People continue to call us thinking we are out of business because it won’t ring through. They have no solution. I paid for the number but it’s just gone. “Sorry” they say!!

Worst Service. I have been having difficulty receiving calls and call notifications for months. Then as if a week ago, someone notified me that when they called my Flyp line; there was a message stating “this number is not in service”. Really? Flyp has been taking my money and no one told me! I “reported a problem” and someone opened a ticket. I just received this as an answer to this problem: After escalating this issue, we just received an update from our vendor that your Flyp number (+1971xxxxx) is apart of a batch of numbers that have just been recalled and unfortunately can no longer be supported. This is something that we were not expecting and haven’t experienced before, we also understand the impact and inconvenience this causes. Really?? And then they offer to give me a DIFFERENT number? This is a BUSINESS line! I’ve paid for advertising for years with this number!!! SO DONE WITH THIS!!!’

No customer service, doesn’t let you cancel a subscription. I wish I read the reviews before downloading this. They conned me into setting up a subscription for $7.99 a month with a free week trial. I was ok with the price at first, until I started using it and realized I couldn’t send any photos over text with the number. So when I tried to go to the manage subscription page to cancel my renewal, the page doesn’t even work and there’s no options to do anything, just a blank page shows up. I’ve emailed them twice with no answers. Reporting it to Apple so they won’t charge me anymore.

Suggestions for improvements.. I do not get any notifications for missed texts or phone calls. I have to think to open the app and check periodically. That is annoying. Also the ability to schedule texts to be sent out later would put you a cut about the rest. This is marketed as a second business line so it would be helpful to have that important feature I communicate with clients when you think of it at 11pm at night. Also having an outgoing text for when do not disturb is on, and/or different outgoing voicemail for do not disturb that way if it’s the weekend clients know we will get their message on Monday when we turn the device back on. Again nothing that is going to bring down the house but a great feature that will make you stand out from competitors. Thank you.

Caller Id. I cannot see the incoming calls ID once I’m done w the call - just shows me YOUR connect number . And in the App - doesn’t show me anything. I was on a call for 10 min - and once done needed to text client my info . No way to text or contact back. This is costing me MONEY. Can you resolve this issue. And yes I have the most up to date software and app on my phone.

They took my number back!. Do not use this app! I signed up and received a phone number that I use for my business as a customer service number. After a few months of using it and printing the number on product boxes sent to retail stores, one day it stopped working. When I wrote Flyp customer service to find out why, they told me that they were sorry but the number they gave me was “recalled” and “unfortunately can no longer be supported.” They took back the number after selling it to me! Now I can’t even get Flyp customer service to get back to me. Do not use this app!

Call problems. Very often the service gets completely disconnected, 10 days ago i had the same issue and customer service responded to my ticket 4 days later, and since yesterday i have been having the same issue. Can’t receive any calls to my flyp number, gives the caller a busy signal without the option to leave a voicemail. I use my flyp number for business and hundreds of my customers have this number already. BTW porting out the number to another service provider is not an option. I asked customer service about it and never received a response.

Perfect for my business!!!. I love having multiple numbers for each of my businesses all on one phone. I cut down on my expenses significantly by no longer carrying two cell phones and it’s cheaper than adding another line with my mobile carrier.

No Porting of numbers. I was looking for an option to have a local number. But you cannot port an old number in or a new number out. They own you. I'm not sure how that is legal, but it is not cool. They’ve been “working on it” for years. It is a choice of support level not a feature set.

Costing me money and not able to use it. Update: Support doesn’t respond to issues and I’m unable to use text or call. This isn’t a free service so what am I paying for exactly!? This is the second time texting has cut off and still hasn’t come back for almost 12 hours now. I’m paying for a service I can’t use?

Update failure. Worked fine to begin with, but ever since the recent update I’ve failed to get text notifications, some times I get text notifications but the text doesn't show up in the app, and the contact list has disappeared and reappears at random. Very frustrating considering I use this phone app for work.

Awesome app!!. Really great app. Lots of features and ability to have phone number that people can text to is simply amazing.

Unlimited texts and calls. Support is helpful and set me up for unlimited texts on my account. Really cool app for texting my friends

iOS 11 issues. Works wonderfully in iOS 10. But if this app is important to you, don't upgrade to iOS 11 until they work out more of the bugs. Support is very responsive and helpful.

Total Joke. After clients inquired as to why they couldn’t get a hold of me I contacted support and was told my number was no longer available and I’d have to change it. (thanks for the heads up and loss of business Flyp!) When I opted not to, I requested a refund for the unused months of service I’d already paid for and they sent instructions on how to request through Apple that I never did manage to get to work. After 10 emails to support and still not getting the help I need, I’m out $30-$40 bucks for something that never worked very well to begin with.

Worst Company Ever. They gave away my business phone number! I have had it for 30 months. Auto pay my bill every month. One day my business phone stops ringing. Put in a service request, 24 hours later they come back and tell me the number was recalled and I will not get it back. They offer to give me another number! How the hell is that suppose to work? 2.5 years of every customer having that number, advertising, flyers, cards.... think long and hard about using this ridiculous company. They’re have cost me untold tens of thousands of dollars! Not sure if or how my business will ever recover!

Too hard to take calls and junk calls. I had high hopes but this just doesn’t work very well. It’s actually hard to take calls as there’s a delay and people who are calling get confused. I also get lots of junk calls. Waste of money.

Hard to use and getting double charged. Beware--the technology is flimsy at best. Good luck actually answering an incoming call as this requires pressing multiple confusing buttons in time. And then...I was promised I could have multiple numbers on a single paid account. But when I added a second number I got double billed. They have failed to resolve the issue over more than a week, and recently haven't been replying to my support inquiries at all. Stay away--undeveloped technology and irresponsible policies and service.

BAD. I had problems since day 1 however I kept it because it was free and because i thought they fixed the issue. Well today I found out that clients of my business were calling this number and said that no one pick up the phone, but it’s not showing an incoming call on my end. I’m just gonna go for something more reliable I don’t want to keep loosing business ( money )

FRAUD!!. The app just wants to bill you. The second you download it and open the app it starts charging you without any confirmation you would normally go through by Apple. It circumvents your right to know you are bing charged. Then the website and all help are no longer accessible so your just left with a junk app that charges every month. GARBAGE!! THIEVES

Limited Characters with texting. There are limited characters that can be sent or received in the app. Iearned the hard way and was unable to retrieve the original text.

Works great in Canada. Calling to and from the states for free is great! Better than paying the phone carriers rip off rates for "long distance".
