GraphPower App Description & Overview
What is graphpower app? GraphPower provides teachers and parents with an educational tool for teaching data analysis and for developing skill in reading and interpreting graphs. Students can enter their own data and instantly see a graph by tapping an icon. When using GraphPower teachers will want to direct students to build bar graphs, line graphs, circle graphs, and histograms. Active learning begins by entering the data for the graph, setting an appropriate scale, choosing colors and other related activities to create a graph.
Based on Common Core Standards GraphPower gives kids the power to build and save graphs on their iPads. A complete curriculum provides K-8 teachers with lesson ideas and a variety of projects.

In addition to making their own graphs, while using GraphPower students can scroll through a set of icons and then tap the icon to automatically set up a hypothetical graph. Next, tap the dice to generate random numbers for the graph and edit the graph with a titles and labels.

Disappointed. I'm very disappointed by this app. I was lead to believe that my student would be able to create their own graph and enter their own data. Instead, they just interpret the information given....which is too advanced for my first graders. I would not have paid the 2.99 for this app if I had realized information could not be input.
Bad. This is for tiny children just to play with. Don't waste your money.
Nice app. This is a very intuitive app that is perfect for my midde school special needs kids. You are able to input data into a table, adjust the x-axis and y-axis labels, titles, and key. You can also switch back and forth between the different types of graphs. I just wish the picture feature (it can take a picture of your graph) worked more consistently.
Disappointed. As I was trying to demonstrate histograms to my 6th graders, this graphing app did not even display bin sizes for the x axis. The histogram feature is not representative of what a true histogram is and especially the expectations set forth by CCSS as advertised. Wish I could get my hard earned $3.00 from my teacher salary back! I can't use this in my classroom.
