App needs help with iOS 11.3. This app has gone from a 5 to a zero because since I downloaded iOS 11.3, this app won't even open. Very sad because I used the app almost daily for my devotion. Hope you can fix it soon!

Sad 😔. This WAS my daily devotion. Now I have to go back to my paper copy when I get back to the USA. I go on short term mission trips and did not want to bring a bunch of heavy books for personal devotions. When I saw the update available I downloaded and then crash and blank page. Nothing available. Wish I had the choice to go back to the previous version. Sad how techie people want change for the sake of change. The original worked. Shame on me for thinking that a change to the words of Oswald Chambers could be improved on.

Excellent for daily devotional. Excellent for daily devotional. Nice to have available when off-net and can't use the web version. Journaling is a nice feature. Missing the scripture index of the printed version. Also has no textual search, which I had hoped would be available. Would also be nice to offer a version that has both text versions in one app - I like to switch between the modern and classic some times when using the print versions.

Amazing content. Reasonably good app.. You can now toggle between classic and updated versions. I did not buy it until that option was available.

My Utmost. Now that I finally found a name that no one else has I want to express my frustration and consequently my disappointment about the loss of this app. I am so sorry that I upgraded and suffered this result. Not only have I lost my favorite devotional but also all of last years bookmarks and notes. Hope it will be made available again

I had held off for years buying this app. I had held off for years buying this app for a couple reasons; people had left many bad reviews, and the material was free online. I downloaded RBC’s free Our Daily Bread app and found it was great! That lead to believe My Utmost for His Highest app may also be very good as they are both by RBC. So I purchased the app and find it excellent digital version with many great tools, Scripture lookup built in, font size and style choices, very clean and usable interface. I find myself stunned anyone would not like this app? I do realize I am using the most updated version. Anyway, it is worth the money, especially for the ability to conveniently save and bookmark as well as journal and easily copy text for sharing or saving Oswald Chambers great quotes.

Great devotional app. This is a great app of a classic devotion. I too had the older version first and now the updated. I like some reviewers, I find the new interface to be straightforward and user friendly. Well worth the $5.

Disappointed. I have waited for quite a while to spend the $5 and purchase the app versus reading it in the web browser or in print, and now I wish I had waited longer as it crashes 95% of the time and when it opens it won’t display anything. I have deleted and reopened multiple times, rebooted my phone and tried over and over to login to my account all with no success. This has been a big disappointment. Can I please have my money back?

Doesn't work on iOS 9. I've been using this app for a couple years. It's been great. But since I updated my iPhone to iOS 9, it won't open. I tried to reinstall and still did the same thing. After reading other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. I've emailed support but haven't received a response, not even just "that you for your email, we will respond to your needs soon."

This guy loves Jesus. Oswald Chambers’ words are powerful. My fiancé reads his devotionals to me everyday so I needed this app for myself. I look forward to him reading it to me everyday and we get to talk about it and reflect. Great conversation is had from these daily devotionals. 10/10

The best!. By far the best devotional app! Oswald Chambers’ wisdom is profound and insightful! The app has always worked well for me!

Doesn’t open to current day. I have enjoyed this app for a number of years. Nothing I would change about it except that it is a bit buggy. Often when opening the app, it is one or two days behind. The only way to get to the current day is to go back to the home screen, and then it will usually jump to the current date.

Great online version, web issue. I love this app that gives me a reliable online version of My Utmost. Unfortunately the link to the associated website no longer works. I think it is going to Discovery House; perhaps it should be redirected to Our Daily Bread.

Great! Recommended!. I read the My Utmost devotionals every day when I was raising our boys. It kept me in right thinking and mature thought as I spent many days with youngsters. I am thrilled to have this App and begin the journey again - this time with grandchildren!

App does not work. I have it on the Iphone and nothing on it works. Don’t charge 4.99 if it is not going to work.

Sept. 2017 Update continually crashes. Continuously crashes on iPad air2. Can't switch to classic view- app just crashes. I spent more on this app than any other in all my years on iPads. Please fix this.

Favorite App. I have an iPhone and this is working perfectly. No ads, crashes, etc. and very convenient and easy to access anywhere. It has an assortment of features added for notes, highlighting, and access to both the classic and updated versions. I also appreciate the ability to click on the Bible verses and it takes you directly to Bible Gateway to read them in full. Oswald is my very favorite of all and understands the word in a much deeper, intuitive way.

The joy of this commitment.. I’ve been reading this fine book over and over for at least 20 years. I began with the hardcover version until the digital version was released on the App Store. This is a tremendous resource. As an early morning riser, I read each day with the anticipation of being in a committed relationship with my Lord. Beautifully designed pages and linked resources make reading each day a joy.

The Best I've Found!!!. Thank goodness for the positive reviewer in early December. I might not have even tried the app because of the negative reviews overall. Some of the reviews had valid concerns but I've not run into any of the problems cited and the app was updated 3 months ago. The app is $.99 and well worth the price. I would have paid 4x that much for what's included. You HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT for it to work right, though. I somehow missed that at first. -You get to read in either the classic or updated edition. -You get links to scripture verses that you can study in depth. -You get a journal. -You get the ability to share on social media. -You get another quote from Oswald Chambers included. There are no in app purchases to unlock any of this. It's ALL included! If you love Oswald Chambers, you will love this app!

Great app, please fix it!. I loved this app for all the five days it worked for me, now it crashes every time I open it, even after the latest update. Please fix this! I can’t wait to start using it again!

App disfunctional. I paid for the app and it will not let me sign in nor access anything as the guest. the app continually crashes when i open it and i deleted reinstalled and even turned my phone off and on and it still does not work. i would like either a refund or some sort of technical help

Oswald Chambers. Great app in regards to content. That said it has disappeared from my phone screen. To open it I have to go to the App Store and hit open. I can’t delete it and re download it. Tried shutting off phone and turning back on. It didn’t work.

Sad day. I've never written a review before. I really love this app. I received My Utmost as a gift over 15 years a go. It's been my go to devotion in the morning. I was thrilled when I found it in the App Store. I usually don't purchase apps but I didn't think twice about this one. However, since updating my phone to iOS 9, my beloved devotion doesn't open! Please fix this bug Apple.

Seems to be a hack in this app?. I love this app and Oswald Chambers. But today on June 8 there is a link inside of today’s page for a casino. It’s says “casino bonus.” I wanted to let you know and didn’t know how except their this review. I took a copy of the page but can’t paste it here for some reason. Please check and make sure the app hasn’t been compromised.

MUHH. Don’t like the format. Don’t like the ads and “storefront”. Hard to use, clunky, too much toggling back and forth. There’s no way to contact you. Super disappointed. $4.99 waste ☹️

Keeps Crashing. This app won’t let me register and log in. So I tried using it as guest but it keeps crashing on me. I paid for this app and I can’t use it.

Easy to read, Easy to use. This app is two-books in one, offering both the Classic (original text) and Updated (in today's language) of one of the bestselling devotionals of all time, My Utmost for His Highest. The dailiy devotionals cut to the truth of scripture with wisdom like: “Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.” and “The remarkable thing about God is that when you fear God, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything else.” Although these words were written a hundred years ago, the reflections and truth ring ever true. They challenge and inspire you to examine your faith and to journey toward a closer relationship with God. Features include: 2 reading options, optional daily reminders, comment section to share thoughts and discuss the days readings, Journal, and more. Others have complained about the font, that issue seems to have been addressed: the font is an easy-to-read sans serif or Helvetica style font.

Love it! Please fix bug. From daily reading to Gateway Bible App. I get for example John 33A16 instead of John 3:16. Which means it won’t up the Bible verse. Thank you

If you want to grow in Christ. As a new believer someone gave me a copy of this book. It my favorite 12 years later. It has helped me grow a deeper faith in Jesus. It has comforted and convicted. How great the Father’s love for us!

Images distract from context. I am grateful that this app exists. However I believe at least another reviewer commented about the images being distracting from the context and blessing of the words that OC and the spirit so aptly authored for us. Developers, marketers, please provide the option of removing images from the daily pages so that those who prefer to focus on the depth of the words aren’t distracted by photos chosen by someone other than OCs. Allow the opportunity for the words to stand on their own. Thanks you.

Nice New Design, Terrible Font!. I really like the redesign of the app icon and overall feel of the update, but Like others said, it's very hard to read the text. The italicized font is NOT easy on the eyes. Go for something simple to read but classic like Helvetica Neue, or at least give us a few font options to choose from. Please fix this! update: ATTENTION DEVELOPERS! If you charge us money to buy your app, please don't ignore our comments. Since multiple people have commented on the font, it would be wise to change it ASAP as well as fix links to Scriptures. These are not minor bugs but major drawbacks to even using the app. I can't figure out why free apps are more responsive to comments than you.

The App Does Not Fulfill Its Purpose. ADDITIONAL COMMENT FOR ODB CREATORS OF THIS APP Apr 8, 2020: This app is so confusing and disappointing, not because of OC’s work, but because of the app’s inconsistencies and unclear operation. I rarely comment on any day’s devotional but have noticed the very frequent comments of a very few but same people on almost every day’s devo. On April 6’s devotional, a commenter asked a question and several of those same people replied. There are no dates attached automatically to comments unless the commenter puts a date in her/himself, so there is no way of telling if that question and related answers were current or from a previous year. However, I decided to post a brief reply two days ago (2020). On April 8, just two days later, I went back to April 6’s devo to read those comments and answers again. MANY OF THE COMMENTS AND THE WHOLE THREAD OF THAT QUESTION AND RELATED REPLIES WAS GONE! How disappointing. An app is only as useful as the complete and accurate delivery of its intended purpose. UPDATE AND REQUEST Apr 6, 2020: I still find the bright white introductory interface annoying as I read MUHH often in the early morning while in the dark. My request is that the year of each reader’s comments be posted with each comment they make, giving other readers the context of when the comment or question was posted. There is a feeling of futility in answering a commenter’s question if it is not current. UPDATE Oct 9, 2019: I have found that some of my previous concerns have been either fixed or I have discovered the correct features, I am not sure which. The bright-white screens still exist in some areas so that nighttime reading is an assault to my eyes until I reach the dark pages. And I see that James Reimann’s updated edition is being used alongside the Classic. That is very welcome. While I still find the switch between Classic and Updated confusing (which is the actual selected one—black or white?), I find I enjoy reading the comments of others who have posted their thoughts. And unlike this App Store tiny type, the ODB MUHH app has an adjustable type size function. Great improvements! March 5, 2018. I used to use the old apps to read Chambers's thoughts and I enjoyed being able to simply close the Classic version app and go to Mr. Reimann’s updated version if a meaning was unclear to me. The format was easy to use, pleasant to read in any light situation, and identical except for the “language” used — the original words of Oswald Chambers or the careful interpretation of his thoughts by James Reimann. The apps were easy to navigate and my reading experience was not ruined by a bright white modern-looking interface that irritates my eyes, tiny type font I cannot read, a confusing two-day-available screen, and unnecessarily complicated navigational instructions and screens. On top of those non-improvements, you’ve taken away the ability to use a low-light screen instead of the irritating and eye-searing bright white screen. Plus, you totally took away the old easy-to-use Reimann updated version app! Major fail in all ways. Thankfully, Logos Bible has an excellent edition of MUHH.

Love it…wish for one addition. I just started using this app. It is such a convenient way to set my mind on Christ as I begin the day. When I grab my phone first thing in the morning, instead of looking at the trivial and the temporal, I go first to these writings that put me in mind of my walk with God and begin my day with challenging thinking..calling me to faithfulness. My only wish re: the app is that it would be helpful to be able to have a highlighting tool. Thank you, RBC!

Appreciate It. I adore this app & use it every day. But even since I updated my iPhone to the IOS 9 the app crashes before it even opens. Despite this, I put a five star rating because I know it can be fixed & also because I really appreciate & love this app... that is, when it worked.

iOS 9 has ruined a great app. I love My Utmost for His Highest I have used it, off and on, for years as my devotional, but I've never been so devoted to it daily as I have been since I got this app. Yet, since I updated to iOS 9 I cannot use the app at all. It will not open. It merely flashes on and off quickly upon attempts. If this major problem isn't fixed quickly, I may soon forget about it. Btw, deleting the app and reloading, nor restarting my device does any good.

Links to Bible passages at Bible Gateway have been broken for quite a while. At the beginning and ending of each daily passage, there is a link to Bible Gateway that should take you to a relevant biblical passage. Those links are broken.

Recent “upgrades” and changes have ruined this fabulous app. It is horrible now. Change it back!. I have been using this app since it first came out. It was always basic, simple and just Chambers’ beautiful, on-point words of depth and encouragement. There were no trashy photos to clutter up the text pages or fancy useless props. Now it has all the worldy, flashy garbage all the other worldy, flashy apps have and it’s ruined!! I truly loathe and despise using this app now!! What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT for Chambers’ fans. We don’t care about someone else’s ideals for photos to sway and taint and take away from what Mr Chambers so aptly allowed the Holy Spirit to impart through his own and paper. Shame on the publisher!!! Boooo. Hisssss.

I love MUFHH but disappointed in the app.. After reading My Utmost for many years, I decided to purchase the app. I can't sign in and it keeps putting up "error" and I have to get out of the app to stop the error msg. from coming up. I am disappointed that I can't highlight the thots I want to remember. Can you please work on fixing this app and making it more useable? I am disappointed that after seeing the reviews you have not fixed anything. Please fix.

Just quit working. The app worked great for about a month and then just stopped. The background was there but not words. I deleted and reload the app twice. It still doesn’t work. For $6 the app should not have these bugs.

I wish a post can be shared as a PDF or JPEG on one photo. This is my ALL-Time favorite speaker/author... (his words transcribed by his wife). While he’s from another era, my young mind was blown by how profound every book of his is. Please, do yourself a favor, get this and all his words in print... and READ... don’t put it on the “Bookshelf”.

Crashes on start up iOS 9.0.1. I installed the software upgrade to iOS 9.0.1 and now My Utmost daily reading is not starting without crashing. Luckily I have my old leather bound text version here somewhere. Please update the app, My Utmost as soon as you can I'm thinking a lot of us will miss it. Thank you Terry

Beware not secure. I received someone else's journal and notes after I logged in! I bought the app Nov 2015. Journaled a few days then decided to try logging in. My journal entries were suddenly filled going back to Dec 2013!!! These are not my notes. What do I do now to protect this other persons privacy???

I love this app!. This app is amazing, it has really great material for meditation and each day you can find yourself praising the Lord, thanking God, learning about yourself, and being challenged to a higher purpose. All of this is contained in a few short paragraphs. Of course, don't let it replace your own personal study of the Bible, but Oswald Chambers brings out some great points to meditate on in his short devotions. I recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn about the Bible!

Great content. Great little app. The content is life changing and Gods presence is all over it. Wisdom from 100 years ago is more than relevant and challenging today as ever. But falls short in some areas of polish. It's basically just their website. No search function. No ability of find forgotten password. The date is synced with some server somewhere else in the world, not my phone. So the date of my reading is wrong depending on time of day. It's a quickly put together app and $5 is a bit steep. Still worth it

Daily Challenge. I so much appreciate the daily challenge from MY Utmost for His Highest to help me focus on my real purpose for being put on this earth ... to love God and know Him intimately and to serve Him wholeheartedly in loving the people he has put in my path.

Still a good app. Since the last release the app is almost perfect but it still opens on wrong day, one day ahead.

Failure. Poorly Designed App.. Requesting a Refund! Oswald would be embarrassed. Clearly done on the cheap with zero thought to quality and excellence control. If you forget your login, your account is lost to you. RBC has know there is no Pw recovery option since August. Four months later... Still no resolution. That is laziness. Do not request this app. If you bought it, do a refund request. If we all ask for our money back - that is the only way RBC will have a reason to fix it.

Hasn't Been Updated in Years. You can't login and you can follow the links or the highlighted phrases. Also there is no section at the bottom of each day with a quote from Oswald as on the website. Waiting to hear back from the developers.

Will not pull up the bible. I like the app, but with your new update I am not able to pull up the bible reference. I hope this can be fixed.

Glitches. This is a good app, but it doesn't automatically load to the current day. For $5, it should. Please fix this.

Glitches. As mentioned by others, the date is one day off, Bible references will not open and italics is not the most comfortable font. Times new Roman is the basic or even Arial. Obviously the writing by Chambers is timeless.

Great devotional. Great app except that it always opens to the next day's reading. Fix that and it will be perfect!

Highlight future missing. Unable to highlight phrases. No way to reference phrases that have the most impact without having to find it and re-read the full chapter. Bookmark feature is useless. It only tags a chapter. I would end up tagging every chapter in this case which makes it useless.

Help ios9. I can't read my favorite devotional on my iPhone any longer. Please help!!!

No Password Recovery. This app is great because you can journal what you learn. However, if you lose your password it is not possible to recover it. I have even contacted the company and they said that at this time they can't do it. I lost all the notes I have written for quite a while. I have suspicion the error is on their side because I use the same password for the two places I journal in an app.

No italics please!. I am glad the app is working again but the former font was good. If people like italics at least you should put the option for both. May God bless you. Serafin P.

Love MUFHH, but thus app NEEDS ficing. I have this app since about a year and there has been no bug fixes, crash fixes, improvements whatsoever since then! Please don't stopp at improving a potentially great app!

Challenging app...what I needed. Oswald Chambers is a hard read but asking for wisdom about the message is a must. The suggestion about being able to highlight is a must and I agree with the review that says so. Please update

Crashes with IOS 9 update. Obviously we are all disappointed that the update is not compatible with this version of the Utmost app. But I have emailed Daily Bread to let them know of the issue and hopefully they will take care of the problem soon. When it works it's worth 5 stars.

Changes noted. I appreciate the change back to a non-italized font, and repairing the dead links on iPad. OC's messages are timeless. I've been reading him for years and don't believe that I'll find any reason to move back to print. I recommend this app, too. Thank you for your dedication.

No fixes despite multiple pleas. Tried to register and only get error messages. Disheartening that nothing is being done to address these issues that have been brought to your attention several times. Paying $4.99 and getting no response is upsetting. Why, I wonder....!

Inspirational Words, Poor Application Execution. Capabilities have been taken out of the applications and new bugs introduced. The application developers have ignored the feedback and reviews and fail to respond to committed readers/patrons. My Utmost continues to inspire all to live their life their life for his glory except the developers have failed to make the app live up to this standard.

Crashing since iOS 9 upgrade. Love the app but since my upgrade to ios 9, it won't open. Crashes on open every time. Hoping developers will address and release an update soon.

Full screen! But no perfect yet.... I just realized that it has been updated to full screen! However it is not perfect yet. Top sharing options are out of align. But still much happier for the full screen!

Utmost for His Highest. Two things: First, this app won't even open much less give the buyer a good product. Please fix the problem! Second, in order to submit this review, I am forced to click at least one star even though I don't want to. This broken app doesn't merit any stars at this point.

My Utmost RBC Ministries. It does not display the correct page for the correct date. Today is 24 January and it displays 23 January. I have mentioned this to RBC Ministries before, and they advised me to reload the application. I did this, and the problem was not corrected. I paid for this app, and expect it to work as it should. It’s just frustrating to have it not open on the correct date. Don’t purchase till it is fixed.

iOS 9 app no longer opens!. Help! I can't find any info on what Utmost is doing to fix this. Lots of your readers are in the same boat. Response from Utmost would be appreciated even if it just says we're working on it?

Grateful. I'm thrilled to have this so readily available, so convenient to share,and so many options to save my journey daily. Update to iOS 9 neither version opens. I also uninstalled then reinstalled and still opens then evaporates. Send help. I have a lot of journaling saved in there...

Awesome!. I have been reading My Utmost since 1982 almost every day, starting with the original version, migrating to the revised, and then to reading it on my iPad. I love this app and it was worth the wait! The ability to take notes is an awesome feature and linking iPad to iPhone is awesome.

Fix. Just purchased this version thinking that the bugs have been fixed. We really miss being able to read every day. Thank you

Why have they not fixed this program?. The reviews make it clear exactly how to make this app as good as Brother Oswald's inspired text. It's really a shame that the developers are not making the simple adjustments their customers have voiced so loudly.

Love it...but please update:). Amazing app, it is what it is. Thank you for your hard work in making this app, I pray all is going well. I have two update requests. 1. That this app be updated to fit iPhone 5 screen. 2. That highlights be added and search by highlights be added.

App Does not work with iOS 9. Since Apple IOS update 9.0 and later, app has never opened again. Amazing that I paid for this and no seems to care enough to fix problem several weeks later.
