IPhone Life App Reviews

I love my iPhone Life Magazine App!. I use my iPhone Life app all the time. It has worked and continues to work quite well for me, on any iDevice I own, though my favorite way to view the magazine is on my larger iPad. Whether keeping up with all the latest Apple news and product updates or finding out about all the latest awesome apps and gear, iPhone Life is where I get the majority if my Apple iDevice news. iPhone Life is one of the best sources for iDevice related current event info and news. I highly recommend it and would suggest anyone who appreciates good writing and the Apple brand do them selves a favor and check out the app. I also subscribe to the iPhone Life newsletter and find that to be a great way to get timely weekly updates on all things iOS in my inbox.

Good magazine, fair app. This a most informative and enlightening magazine. I will buy it again, the app, however, is ok but it is quite buggy, ie. freezes every time an add loads, freezes when if I zoom on a page to read it, then back out. Would love if if they could get all the bugs out, this would be an amazing app.

Great way to read the magazine. I've been reading the magazine since it first came out. I was curious how it would be reading it on my iPad. It works well. I bought the current issue, their Buyers Guide, and found it a great convenience to be able to simply tap to immediately download an app that interests me. Same thing for the ads. You can click on the URL to get more information or buy the product. One of the ads even had an integrated video. I found the app navigation to be intuitive and responsive. Certainly it's very attractively done, and an exact replica of the magazine. Tapping the screen brings up a carousel of thumbnail images of the pages, so that you can quickly jump around in the magazine. A drop down menu gives you a table of contents. I wish there were a way to quickly jump back to the replica table of contents. It seems like that would have been the most intuitive, but that's probably simply because I'm so acclimated to reading print magazines. Overall, it's very professionally done, and a great option for reading the magazine.

Why all the Bad Reviews. Don't listen to all the bad reviews! This magazine has great content. The ads have given me new places to get accessories. I love the information and they frequently publish stuff from readers. Glad it is in the newsstand!

Love it. I love this magazine and look forward to receiving my magazines when they are uploaded to my iPhone and iPad. I like how the staff tells readers their favorite apps to use on a daily basis etc. The tips, tricks, and how-to really helps in this ever changing and growing world we live in.

Waste of Money. I am kicking myself for not reading the reviews before spending $2.99 on the iPhoneography issue. It was a total waste of money. Only a few pages long, many of which are ads, it is less informative than any free blog/web site. Instead, download the Mobitog app, which is free. There is much more information to be found there.

Bait and Switch- don. After looking over available issues of "iPhone Life", I decided to subscribe. I was most interested in the current July/August 2012 issue, and figured the extra $ would be worth paying for a year's worth of issues. Instead of getting access to the July/August issue, I was told the only current issue I could download was the "Special" July issue devoted to travel, which is a lot cheaper, and probably a lot smaller, and of little interest to me. I contacted the publisher, and was told I could only get the latest issue with my subscription, and would have to pay full price to get the July/August full issue. Last time I checked, August comes AFTER July, but I gues they are used to customers just giving up. After being politely informed by email that I had no recourse, I have contacted the App store for a full refund, but hold out little hope. "PixelMags", or whatever the publisher is called, was unable/unwilling to refund my subscription. I may be stuck with the "bait and switch", but you don't have to be. They may "love to hear from you", but don't seem as equally enamored with supporting thier customers!

Can’t log in. I can log in perfectly at the website but trying to log into the app gives you the message invalid user ID. Too bad you can’t rate zero stars because even that is rating it too high.

Works great!. It works great and makes it easy to read my favorite iphone magazine! :)

Great mag!. Lots of helpful tips, app recommendations, and product reviews. A must for any iPhone or iPad user! I also enjoy the overall look/design.

No support. I purchased this magazine recently and it’s a complete waste of money. Having issues opening the magazine. The only email I get back is contact Apple we can’t find your subscription. Both Apple and my Bank say all is paid for and is ok on their end. Already unsubscribed. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this it’s not worth it.

Renewed subscription via App Store issue. If anyone and iPhone Life is actually watching this section. I renewed my subscription a week ago. I can see and access all my old issues going back years but can not read the current issue (last 3 since my subscription expired). When I select the current issue it requests I subscribe or purchase it. I have been emailing with this issue daily to support and I have yet to get a response. HELP PLEASE.

Annoyed. I've had a subscription to this Magazine for the last 2 years and received a new issue every 2 months. The new cover says spring, so I'm assuming they dropped from 6 issues a year to 4 with quarterly releases. Had I known that I wouldn't have subscribed. This will be my last year subscribing to iPhone life magazine.

Good to Bad to worse!! Waste!. Good articles bring you in to the App (they dont tell you it cost money) , then the app doesnt manage them well with all bugs and missteps mentioned. now it appears they have abandoned their subscribers with a "take the money and run" strategy and it's difficult to unsubscribe. This gives Apple a bad name!!

Great magazine!. Love the magazine. On my 4s I can't read the print when I swipe though the pages without pinch zooming a little.

Works great now thanks. Thank you for fixing the offline downloading bug from before. Now i can read my issues even if i don't have a internet connection. Keep up the good work. :-)

Avoid touse Apples own Tips app totally free! This app pushs expensive app store apps!. if you’re looking for iPhone or iPad tips, Apple provides their own tips app that will pop up when new tips are available or open the app to whatever it is, you’re trying to accomplish. Wow this app regurgitate some of the same information you’ll find in the Apple app that is totally free, they like to push you into expensive alternative apps for all kinds of features and activities that almost always involve expensive monthly fees. These monthly fees are what’s knowing as recurring revenue for both the app maker and of course, iPhone Life it all costs! Everything they offer is available for free using the Apple Tips app!

Awesome. The best resource for iPhone Tips, tricks, and reviews. Been reading the magazine for a long time and the app version is great.

Horrible value for the money. Really disappointing. Very light on content for the price. I'm happy I only purchased one issue, but still feel like I threw $1.99 in the trash. It literally took me 4 minutes to read the entire thing cover to cover. Same content is available free on hundreds of websites.

Very poor... Downloaded the free issue (iPhone 4s cover) and it was a mess. Very blurry and pixelated on the new iPad. Worse, the digital issues are all just a replica of the print mag. They just took an image or pdf's of the pages and repackaged it as an app. Very, very poor effort and implementation from iPhone Life. Deleted it right away..

Difficult reading. Just cont conducive to reading on an iPhone. I’d prefer hard copy reading

Great App for iPhone Life Subscribers!. I’ve been a subscriber to iPhone Life for years, and the app makes it so much easier to learn about iPhone and other Apple products on the go.

No retina support?. I have been a subscriber for some time, and am really pleased to see this app in News Stand! It's a great way to keep all my subscriptions in one place. The magazine is the go-to guide for anything iPhone or iPad related. However, I am really disappointed that this app does not support the stunning retina display for the new iPad! The magazine looks grainy, pictures are pixelated, and text is really hard to read. Zooming in to try to read it better only distorts it further. Given the subscription price, I expect a high-caliber magazine like this to support the retina display. I hope this is coming in future updates. Until then, I don't think I can renew a magazine I can't see clearly.

Love this app and the magazine!. iPhone Life is a great publication, and it’s awesome to have every issue accessible right from my iPad. I really look forward to every new issue, and the app is straightforward and easy to use. Highly recommend!

Very FRUSTRATING subscription process. Downloaded app. Paid for subscription, then was redirected to another app named Zinio, which required me to register separately, but does not recognize my paid subscription. Even the iPhone Life app still wants me to make in-app purchases for each issue. What a joke! How can they claim to represent Apple's philosophy of elegant user experience. Let my story keep you from wasting $12 and thirty minutes of your life. UPDATE: I downgraded from 2 stars to one. The Zinio app doesn't even offer iPhone Life. The only way I can see my digital subscription is to click on the link in an email I get from Zinio on behalf of iPhone Life. KEEP YOUR SANITY. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE PRINTED VERSION DELIVERED BY SNAIL MAIL.

Helping a non techie.. The help that I received from you is immeasurable. What seemed like a new dust collector (iPad,iPhone) has started to become a very dependable tool to have.

FUZZY UNCLEAR PRINT - help!!. Wow - this HAS to be an oversight of some kind. I find your magazine (with the exception of the ads) to unreadable... it looks like bad photos were taken of your magazine pages and uploaded into Apple's news stand. Will be looking for a FULL refund if this is your finished product?!!

Subscription updates. I subscribed through the iTunes Store. When I got a new iPad, I tried to restore the subscription. It didn’t work. After discussing with iTunes they indicated to pick up with support from app. I emailed and started to explain problem but then they went silent on me

New version not working. I deleted the old version and installed the new version and I can not restore my subscription. I can only download the Jan/Feb issue. What else can I try?

I want a refund. I’m not happy with this app. Information provided is irrelevant to me and I’d be better off with a user manual.

My iPhone is 5x more useful. After being a subscriber for just year, the easy how-to and app review content that iPhone life puts out has increased the capabilities of my iPhone tremendously. The people there really listen to their audience and make it feel like a community. I only wish I discovered this sooner.

Not free, not even a free mag to try. This is just wrong. I was reading their website and they suggested I read the article via their app - not possible. I guess I just continue reading the copies at the book store section of the supermarket.

Useful App. I can find the answers to all my Apple product questions here! I love that the app keeps getting updates and works better and better! I also love learning about new features that I never even knew existed! Thanks iPhone Life team!

Great Content, Poor Delivery. Great content and articles, but two issues with delivery. First, the magazine does not remember the page I stopped reading at. Second, when turning pages, the hyperlinks on the page appear momentarily highlighted yellow and then go away. Distracting... Other than the two above issues, content is excellent.

How do apply your Subscription to this?. I subscribe to the regular magazine, but for the life of me can't figure out how to apply it to the app.

Off line mode??. Love the magazine. But how can you read it offline? It downloads but when wifi off can't open the magazine. Please advise. Pointless having a magazine you can't read offline when traveling.

Won't resize to fit screen.. Horrible app. Type is too small to read. When you double tap to enlarge, it expands beyond the screen size. You have to slide the page back and forth to read an article. You get dizzy reading. In short, this iPhone magazine app doesn't work on an iPhone.

This is a very entertaining read. Ive had the app for a while now and really like it. There are plenty of great articles that help me make the most of my iPhone. I also has some pretty good app suggestions. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to have an interesting tech-ish read.

Decent content but.... The content of this publication is good, Colorful photos/ Illustrations ECT , But it's difficult to navigate and seems as though it was formatted for any device other than an IPhone. To watch the built in videos you must have Adobe Flash Player.

Help. I have a subscription but it wont load on the app. It says it will take a few mins but never occurs.

My eyes, my poor eyes. I'm the sure the content is good, but I can't bear to read it. Since when does a lo-res image constitute a magazine page, yeuck!!!

Won't open, keeps crashing. Reminds me of a windows program, one of the first glitches I've had with apple!! Every time I try to open it crashes after the main screen.

Digital Issues. There is no way I'm paying the same price for the digital subscription as you charge for the physical one. Deleting the app now.

Cannot access App. So I contacted App they send me to iPhone Life magazine!! Problems with App access not accepting my email which is registered & I paid 2 years subscription!!??

Junk. I paid a subscription in April 2023. Got 2 magazines then lost all access to magazines. Won’t even show the two I had. I have talked to several people and nothing has changed. Can’t even get a refund. Too bad as the magazines were quite good. Stay away. Is a frustrating rip off.

Can't download magazine.. I constantly get a "service unavailable" message. You would think a magazine app dedicated to iPhone/iPad issues function better. Btw, I have no issues downloading other magazines from other apps.

Shuts down. Good magazine, but EVERY timeI try to read the "news" section (on my iPad, iPhone, and iPad Mini), it closes the app. You'd think of all apps, these developers would have fixed this by now!

Worst and most frustrating app EVER. Purchased the 12.99 subscription. Hasn't worked yet. Email the company and all they give me is excuses and their working on the problem. Was just told to update app and all would be good. Still doesn't work. Have asked for a refund twice and they don't want to refund my money. Should have listened to others!!!! Bad!!!. There are a ton of negative reviews on previous version ratings. I paid $12 and it doesn't give me the 6 issues it says you get with purchase of the subscription . Many others are having the exact same problem. Waiting on answer back from developer.if he ever responds back to me I will let y'all know. This is awful. Other reviews say they are full of excuses and or never reply to issues. They refuse to give others their money back either!! Don't be dumb like me and a bunch of others. We've taken the sacrificial hit for you. Save your cash!! I'll retract this statement ,should I be assisted at all in the near future. Not holding my breath. I've sent 3 assistance messages to developer with no response back :((

Refuses to Download Subscription. I paid for a year subscription, but the app now refuses to download any issues without paying AGAIN. Avoid this ripoff.

Nice update. The latest iOS7 update has a text reader built in that makes it easier to read all the articles. As someone who often reads from the iPhone, the feature was badly needed. Thanks!

Not free. Just like everything else here it's NOT free. Waste of time to get anything in the newsstand section. Say there free but after download you have buy. Zero stars if I could!!!

Poor customer service. I have subscribed to the magazine for over 5 years and have had poor results with requests. I use a local library service to access the magazine. It is free.
