Great app. Lock Screen Widget needs better info. This is my favorite timer app. Great setup for customized routines. Only issue is the new screen widget. It shows three numbers - none of which are useful. I need to know how many seconds are left in the set I’m doing - not the name of the workout or how much total time there is. 6 months later and still the same problem. Please show time till end of current interval. Seeing the total time and countdown to total time is useless for doing sets of anything

Apple Watch feature doesn’t work. I walk/run in the morning but I leave my phone at home. The interval timer app cancels out my run activity on the watch, so I don’t get credit for my exercise, which I use to earn health rewards at work. Also, on my series 5 Apple Watch, the app is counting down to switch intervals, but if the screen is dim during an interval switch the timer won’t ding. It will ring as soon as I raise my arm to look at my watch, and by that time I have already lost time on my interval. And who wants to keep looking at their watch every two minutes to make sure the interval timer dings. I’ll cancel my premium I’m subscription until there is a fix.

Music malfunction. This app is really great, I really love it a lot, but just recently every single time I use it while listening to music, who doesn’t listen to music when they work out, it takes whatever order I have my music in and puts it in order on the playlist. For example, I hit shuffle on my music, open the internal timer and use it and when the next song hits, it’s not the song that was supposed to be next in shuffle, it’s the song that’s next on the playlist when it’s in order. It’s very frustrating because now I’m always pausing my workout to go into my music app, which I use Apple Music, and select the song I wanted to hear next, not the one that’s next in order.

I love it.. I’m a 14th year Breakdancer. This app has become a key ingredient to my daily routines regarding stretching and conditioning. One bit of improvement I’d like to see regarding the calendar. I often stretch after midnight and that session will record on the calendar for the technical date. I wish there could be an option for adjusting the day my session is recorded on. For example: if I stretch after 12am the night of the 28th, the app’s calendar will represent that time as the 29th. As a result, this sort-of renders the calendar a bit useless for me. Thank you, again, I love this app, it’s very useful for me, I didn’t even know the calendar was a thing until I downloaded it, but now that I know it exists...I’d really find it helpful if that adjustment could be made somehow.

Loving this app. I have been using this app for three years now and have recommended it to countless people for running intervals, strength training intervals, and for kid games. I use the free version, but have been heavily considering getting the premium version just so I can get the intervals on my watch. I wish there were more reviews about that functionality to push me to pay. Otherwise, this is beautiful app that does exactly what I need it to. The ads aren’t too intrusive, so long as you open your timer seconds prior to when you want to start your routine. I really have no huge complaints for the free version.

Exactly what I was looking for. So I have been trying to find a decent timer in order to use my interval running program. Every timer out there that I found had some limitation making useless. Not this one. I can enter a simple or complex program, name each rep and set, plus add individual colors and sounds for a particular set. I don’t have to be looking at the timer to know which rep I’m on, and if I do look at it, I can see the displayed color, eliminating the need to read something - awesome without my reading glasses. I like the countdown feature and time remaining dial too. The developer did a nice job on this one.

problem corrected promptly. UPDATE: the developer’s quick response and prompt correction of my complaint detailed below has encouraged me to give this app a 2nd chance. i do like the simplicity and versatility of this timer that allows me to store my own personal HIIT timer sequences, so fingers crossed that it remains the app that i have counted on for so long. ORIGINAL COMPLAINT: i have been using this app since 2013 and (as others have noted) had no problem ignoring the banner ads at the bottom.... until now. the latest version interrupts me every time i complete a sequence, try to resume or interact with the app during a workout and forces me to sit through 5 seconds of noisy ad before i can make it go away. i am furious and downloading a different app so i can discard this horror immediately.

A Disappointing Downfall. This app used to be good. So good. Almost too good to be true but unfortunately things have changed for the worse in very saddening ways. The Trump ads don’t bother me, as much I dislike him I couldn’t care less about his ads, but other changes are extremely frustrating. No longer can you have this app open while playing audio in another app without sound stopping every 5 seconds (due to ads apparently), no longer do timer sounds work properly when the app is open in the background and no longer do the developers seem to care at all about providing a product with some semblance of consumer satisfaction. The worst part, however, is that this is still the best app of it’s kind on the App Store. So until a better one comes along, I guess I’ll have to suffer through this one.

Overall great, but frustrating glitch. I love almost everything about this app. It’s super easy to use and has great interval options. However, I use it to run a lot and there seems to be an issue when I use my phone for something else while the intervals are running. When I lock my phone after using it, the intervals don’t switch. I then take my phone out to check the issue and then it speeds through the intervals it missed. It only happens when I lock and unlock my phone. I don’t have any issues when I’m using it at the gym and my phone stays on/unlocked the whole time.

The Ads. When I first got this app, the ads stayed at the bottom of the screen and that was acceptable. Now they are popping up between every timer upon completion. For me a typical stretch workout, I will have 20 short routines that vary in length from 45 seconds to 2 minutes. That means that now 20 ads take over my screen that either need to be clicked away or that stay on for 7 seconds. And if you try to click those away, you will end up on a website. Otherwise, its a $1 per month to avoid the ads. The app is not that good, to spend a $1 per month! Even without the ads, you still need to click away the message that your routine is done to get to the next one, every time. I will be looking for another app.

All-time favorite app. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is probably my all-time favorite app. I’ve had versions of this app for more than 10 years and it’s done nothing but be exactly what I want it to be - a great, low maintenance interval timer. No other app in any category has been more dependable. The interface is solid, the free version gets you where you need to go, and nothing gets in the way during a workout. It saves all of my routines, so I can come back to them day after day without having to reset everything. Absolute rock of an app. Hats off to developers on this one. Thanks for taking care of us!

May 2021 update reduced app functionality. This used to be a four-star app. It needed a few small tweaks to be perfect, but was still a good, functional app considering it was free. A recent update reconfigured the display to make it harder to flow through your workout. Now, instead of the name of the set you’re working on, it says “high intensity” or “low intensity” in huge type, with your set in tiny print under it. Intervals are already distinguished by different colors and tones, so I don’t understand why they felt this change was necessary in any way. I gave it two stars instead of one because you can still create custom workouts, but this change just makes no sense.

They make it easy to accidentally delete a timer. I have a timer for my stretches and one for other exercises I do often, and every time I use them, the app asks me if I want to delete them with a big button right next to the Save button. It’s like they’re using that as a way to make me want to buy the paid app. It’s not gonna do that. It’s just gonna make me mad enough to want to find a different app. I tood the developers about this gaping design flaw and they seemed dismissive. Like it didn’t matter. Thankfully I haven’t accidentally deleted any of my saved timers... they work well, but they weren’t too terribly intuitive to create, so if I do accidentally delete a timer one day because of the design flaw in their buttons, I’d rather just go find another free interval timing app.

What happened?. Worked perfectly for more than two years, until a couple weeks ago, at which point it: has begun showing ads each time I open it; sometimes freezes up due to the ads, which can’t even be remedied by restarting my phone; doesn’t consistently chime at the end of each interval anymore; and, *most annoyingly* it no longer works in sync with music, which is one of the main functions of the app. During my most recent workout, I had to restart my music no fewer than 15 times in the first ten minutes of the workout. I see that other users have had the same complaint in the last few weeks. So, I’d like to ask the app’s developers: Why’d you wreck your app? Is your use of ads intended to turn users away? If so, you’re succeeding.

Been using for years for all my workouts. I keep track of almost all my workouts with this functional timer that I generally like and works well. Unfortunately it’s a mystery what format this downloads to. I upgraded to premium so I could download hundreds of workouts over a few years and keep a more useful workout log and combine it with other workout diary stuff.....but I can’t figure out what to do with the downloaded file, I can’t find anything that recognizes the file format. I contacted the app maker and got no response. At this point I’ve dutifully tracked many hundreds of workouts but can’t do anything with all of that data. Wish I wouldn’t picked a different app a long time ago so I wouldn’t have this problem.

Great for iPhone. Okay for Apple Watch.. If you want to purely use this app on your phone, then it’s fantastic. It allows you to fully customize your HIIT cycles and helps keep track so you can keep focused on your workout. The Apple Watch app is good, but just not fully there yet. It’s missing the cycle alarms like the iPhone version has, which is one of the major benefits of the whole app in my opinion. It’s distracting to have to constantly check what cycle I’m on and how far along I am, because I like to be zone in on my workouts and lose track of time easily. I’d give this app a 5 star rating otherwise, but it’s definitely a solid 4 star for now.

Great for workouts, stretching, and even studying!. I mostly use this for stretching / yoga sessions so I don’t have to do a ton of counting in my head. (Side note: why am I so lazy that I can’t even count to 10? Well, you should perform muscle stretches for about 60 seconds at a time and shorter periods for joint mobility stretches, so I don’t want to count to 60 every time) For studying using the Pomodoro method this is great! I do work for about 25 minutes, take a quick break to stand and get my eyes to focus on something else, then I’m right back at it. Love it!

Almost good enough. I wanted to love this as much as my wife did, so I installed it, upgraded to the premium and added it to my Apple Watch to run some intervals. This app and the Apple workouts app are apparently not compatible. When I started my run I also started the timer with a 30 second warmup. I never heard the alert to start the first high intensity interval. I noticed that the workouts app was on display, so I switched between that and the intervals app, and then I got the double ding for high intensity immediately followed by the single one for low intensity. If I kept the intervals timer app on display, I would get the audible notifications, but if the watch screen went idle or switched back to the workouts app (default view) then I got no notifications. The whole reason I got this and upgraded was for audible notifications without constantly having to check my watch for the time. Almost...

Little bit of a learning curve, but it’s just what I was looking for!. I’m challenging myself this year to try a new workout every week (need to lose 55lbs before Vegas vacation in July). This weeks choice was jumping jack intervals with 30 seconds on, and 30 seconds doing squats, bicycles, planks, arm circles, lunges, etc. The standard iPhone clock wasn’t working for me- so I looked for an app. This was my first app choice- and I have to thank the developer for making it my only choice. It was easy to figure out (after playing a little with the “sets” which I’m new to- I just go until I’m tired normally) and I was up and running in under a minute. What a difference an interval timer makes- no more stopping to reset the timer! Thanks!

Select when a new week begins. I really wish that I had the option to select what I consider to be a full week. Right now Sunday counts as a new week, which I dislike because it gives me the illusion that I worked out, say, 3 times in a week vs. what was actually only 2 times. It would also be really nice to have a starter preset of different intervals for beginners, intermediate, etc. as they progress (i.e. Week 1 could be 30sec work interval, 60 sec rest and Week 2 would increase the work interval by 30secs or something) that still allow for customization. Other than that, this interval timer is pretty great!

Does the job!. I’ve used this app for a while and I’m always able to make it work for whatever crazy protocol my trainer comes up with. From really simple AMRAPs to more complicated ladder workouts. Being able to customize colors and sounds to aid in knowing which stage you’re at is so more helpful than I would’ve realized. The function for editing a saved workout could be a little easier but it’s not dysfunctional. Heard an idea of adding notes at the end of a workout and that seems like a cool feature.

Used to be great. This app used to be great. Perfect for me, in reality. Since the change to the “lock” functionality however, I will be uninstalling this timer. Locking something is supposed to prevent changes. When a parent starts playing a cartoon on a tablet before locking it and handing said device to their toddler, one would expect that the “lock” would prevent the cartoon from being stopped, paused, or otherwise interrupted. When someone locks the doors of their car or home, one would be fully reasonable to expect said door to not open until being unlocked. This completely rational association of a “lock” preventing “something” must be a agilely new concept to the app developers. When locked, the interval can still be interrupted. Repeatedly. Sure, the “stop” function is TECHNICALLY removed, but replacing it with “pause” is shamefully unintelligent. It’s the equivalent of removing only the opened bottles of chemicals from beneath the kitchen sink, rather than outright locking the door when there’s a toddler in the house. Like being held at knifepoint while in ones car and rolling up the window without locking the door. So pull up your workout, cue it with music that changes each interval, then hit play and get lost in the workout. Until you realize it decided to pause even after being locked. Then do what I’m doing and get a different app.

Could Be Good If They Fixed Somethings. This timer app could be good if they fixed a few things. The timer itself works well once you set it up the way you want it, but the setting it up is a bit difficult. If you like to do 2 exercises back to back and then break and repeat, you’re gonna have a hard time setting a timer up for that. 1 exercise sets are a breeze to set up, though. The most annoying feature is the ads-if you don’t pay for ad free, expect to something to pop up every single time you open the app. Accidentally double clicked home and tapped back into this app? You’re gonna get an ad. Opening your phone back up to see how much time is left in that round? You’re gonna get an ad.

Expensive and too many ads. I want to state that up front that I’m willing to put up with ads to a point, and also willing to pay to remove ads. I have paid for and have subscriptions to many apps and services. That said, this app overdoes it with the constants interruptions. Also, why is there a yearly subscription? What happened to just outright paying for an app? I am willing to purchase this for a flat rate but I already have too many subscriptions and don’t need to add another. This model needs to be changed as I’m guessing there’s more than just me pushing back against continued subscriptions. The app is fine for what it is, but a glorified timer doesn’t warrant a continuous payment.

Download at your peril. Opening app for first time after downloading gives you a screen that asks you to go premiums. It also asks to track various activities or to ask the app not to track. What does ask the app not to track mean? I don’t want to ask the ask anything. It just say don’t track. So if you don’t like either choose and you go to close out the app by pressing x top right, it doesn’t close. Not only that, but it freezes your phone! Can’t get back to Home Screen. The worst is you can’t shut down the phone to reboot. When you go to push the slider to off, slider turns orange and emits two loud alarms. I made repeated attempts to get around this and finally had too hook it to my Mac to ditch the program. From my experience with this app, it comes close to being malware. Avoid at all costs

Good App with Intrusive Video Ads and Deceptive Seller. The app has annoying video ads as of late, but is otherwise very good. I've been using the app for years to time and track my daily physical activity routines. However, every now and again the seller decides it's time to try and milk it a bit more, and pushes out an update that adds more aggressive ads, and it's never in the update description, of course. For instance, the December 2019 (version 4.2.1) update added video adds at the end of every routine, but the update description was "We are happy to introduce a new in-app purchase to let you remove the Ads. Removing the Ads is just an option for those users hope to remove it and not mandatory. It doesn't change the way you used Interval Timer before. Just grab what you need. This new version is worth you update because we also fixed some bugs to make it more stable." It is possible to circumvent the video ads by turning off cellular data for the app and disconnecting from WiFi, but it's far from ideal.

Doesn’t play alerts in background. According to the developer the app was recently updated to fix the issue where alerts don’t sound when the app is in the background. I have all updates yet the app still won’t play alerts when in the background. I view and follow my workouts in another app and use this timer to alert me when it’s time to move to the next round. I found the app very helpful and enjoyed using it in this way until this glitch. Now it is very difficult and slows my workout having to go back and forth between the timer and workout app. If you (developer) have any suggestions on something I need to do to remedy this, please let me know. Otherwise I’ll be looking for a new timer app.

I’ve used the app for over 5 years.. I use the free version and I enjoy it. I use it pretty often to regulate my workout times while doing HITT. You can customize it to fit your workout style which I love. I always like the rating option for each workout. It is useful when you are wanting to track your progress. You can select between “Easy” “Good” or “Difficult” then it offers space to log your workout which I use to list what I did and how I felt that way when I repeat that workout I can compare it. It’s easier for me to have it all on an app then using my notes or writing it down because I can’t forget when it’s listed after you complete the workout. Give it a shot!

Love What You Have So Far. This timer is great. In comparison to others I like the ability to easily create a complex timer for multiple moves and the different options for colors as a visual for a new move. I also love that I can change the sounds of the bells. My only stick is that I wish I could duplicate an exercise (or interval) within a workout. For example, I do a lot of circuit training in my classes, so we will do 3 moves back to back and repeat them for 3-5 rounds. Currently, I have to either let the timer run out and press start again after each round, or I have to manually create an interval for every exercise in every round. I prefer to do the the latter bc I hate running back to the timer to press start. It would make the creation process so much better if I could simply duplicate an interval I’ve created and then move it to where it needs to be. There is an app called a Flex Timer that allows for this, but it’s missing the visual appeal that I like with this app. So, I use this one way more. Appreciate your work and hope the duplication options become available. Thanks!

Best interval timer!. I downloaded several apps before this and none of them has the features that this one does- not even the ones that you pay for. It is so simple to use. I needed to download an interval timer for running purposes and this one gets me exactly what I need. The best part of all, is that it’s free and it doesn’t have any annoying adds that keep popping up or interrupting your work-out. It does have adds, but these only pop-up at the before you are going to use it.

I used to love it.... I’ve happily used this timer for years both personally and professionally. Recently it started shutting itself off mid-interval. This obviously defeats the purpose of an interval timer. Super annoying. In an attempt to keep it on, I left my phone on with the timer running on the screen. This led to my phone jumping into an advertisement posted in the app, AND the timer STILL shut itself off. Come on guys. I appreciate that ads are your revenue, but to prioritize them over the functionality of the app? I’m dropping this app, and going with one that I have paid for. About a month ago, I added this app back on to my phone. There simply isn’t a better interval timer. But the ads bog it down so completely. Today the screen went black and won’t let me use it anymore. I would happily pay $20 for a good timer like this, but a subscription? That’s crazy town.

Great for all sorts of interval training. I originally got this to use for timing Fartlek runs and speed intervals. The cycles are easy to customize and provide great feedback through sound and vibration. But then I started doing interval training at home (circuit, HIIT, and technique drills). Now I could add in visual keys and create complex hour long workouts and practices. Colors, sounds, titles, intervals, rests, cycles, repeats, all are customizable on the free app. If I could add one feature, it would be either a three period cycle or a cycle start warning, so that I can do high/low/get ready or left/right/rest. If I could make one change, it would be the ability to make a one time premium purchase instead of a subscription. I would like to put some money towards the app, perhaps for new templates (like the suggestion above) or for sharing, but I am wary of subscription services over one time purchases. That said, I now use the premium service and is has even more flexibility, to the point that I use it over even physical timers at the gym.

The answer to my prayers. I’ve been looking for an app that has adjustable timers. I don’t do HIIT, but I use this app to time and alert me for stretching after my workouts. You can adjust the length of both your “active” and “rest” timeframes. I set my stretches for 90sec, then 10sec “rest” as I get into a new stretch. The 2 different types of dings alert you to when to switch and what stage you’re at without you having to look at your phone. It’s been an absolute godsend and even though I’m not using it for its original purpose, I can’t sing its praises enough.

Good be good but has major flaws. Creating custom timers is time consuming. The way the app is built has some problems. Number one is when you’re creating customer timers you cannot duplicate a section or timer piece. WHY would you not add that??? Number two is that when you’re creating a timer for the first time, if you touch outside of the box it closes the pop up screen where you create the workout. If you’re working on a new custom timer and accidentally touch anywhere on the screen your work is lost. Why would the creator make this possible?!?!? Do you not use your own app and see these flaws? This app has potential but to me its clear the creators don’t actually use it enough to realize what can be made better. Maybe in the future I will come back this app.

It was great, and then…. I’ve used this app for several years for my routine on my rebounder. I thought it was perfect up until about six months ago or so. Then they changed up the look and now the line that tells you what to do for each segment is such tiny print that you have to squint to read it. I have twice sent feedback about this, but they still have not fixed it. I still use the app because I mostly have my routine memorized, but those times when I get lost in thought and forget where I am, it’s really frustrating to not be able to just glance over and see what I’m supposed to be doing next. I don’t understand why they won’t change it back.

Love it!. I’ve tried other timers for my tabatas but they all tried to get money from me to do even the simplest of things. This app not only works better but has extra features like weekly and monthly tracking and the ability to edit my workout with the number of workouts, time between sets, time of HIIT, warm up and cool down, etc. My only complaint is that I can’t specifically say what each exercise is so I have to have a piece of paper with me so I don’t forget what I’m doing! Also, when I do a cardio workout, I do 2 exercises one at a time and I lose count! Otherwise, I recommend this app hands down over the competition.

Great app!. I use this app in my training almost daily and I love it. I use it for HIIT training, at the top of the minute workouts, etc. The only function that I would like to see (maybe it’s there and I just can’t figure it out) is to be able to split the high intensity segments of each interval into multiple segments within each rep. Many of the workouts I do may have 3 30 second exercises that I perform before the rest period and I would like to be able to transition between the exercises with a ding from the app without having to look at the timer. It’s a minor thing but it would make the app even better.

Leaving due to invasive ads. I have used this app exclusively for HIIT for about 12 years. I am legally blind, and found it was easy to set up on my iPhone. It has migrated to all my new iPhones easily. I was fine with the kyron ads that were a part of each session from the beginning. I had some trouble bypassing the full page ads when they began, as seeing and touching in the EXACT right spot to close them was elusive to me, both because of their design and my vision. Yet I persisted. The recent addition of multiple ads before I can start my session has overwhelmed me and sent me to Seconds. You have a decent product, but your advertising model makes it almost impossible for visually impaired persons to use. And something inside me bristles at feeling forced to upgrade just to use what I’ve had for many years. So I’m deleting your app and will no longer be recommending it. Bye.

Most Customizable Timer. Love that everything is completely customizable! My only complaint is that There should be more colors for differentiation on timers and I wish I could type times in like a calculator instead of messing around with the scrolling numbers. The scrolling numbers create anxiety for me while entering complex timing algorithms. That mights sound strange for the mathematically lazy. For someone who is interested in mathematical sequencing and experimental applications of sport science research, this timer is almost ideal. My recommendation is to alter the scrolling numbers to instead be a nine digit keypad.

only 1 thing would make it better. The only thing that would make this better is the ability to easily make suggestions (there's another app I use that has an "angry shake" feature where if you shake the device twice it asks if you have an improvement idea) all apps should have this, it's better than ratings and comes up when the user encounters the issue. I think that's something all apps should have in some way, everything needs a suggestion box. BUT that being said atm this is exactly what I needed, it keeps track of time used and progress made which is amazing and is super customizable. Love it!

Small glitches ruin it all. In theory this app is simple, easy to use, and effective. In practice, this is not the case. When using the app I frequently have headphones in, and I’m listening to music, podcast, or audiobook. Unfortunately, once I put the phone in my pocket, 1/5 sessions, the audio signals from the app to not come through. For this reason I don’t know it’s time to switch intervals, change exertion etc. While this does not happen every time, because I know it happens sometimes, I get the equivalent of range anxiety, wondering if it’s working properly feeling the need to check and throwing me out of the work out flow. Net-net, it creates more challenge and helps most times.

Doesn’t tell me which exercise I’m on. Latest update doesn’t show each round separately. I have one workout set up for all my different exercises and it doesn’t tell me anymore which exercise I’m on, so I have to try and remember what order they go in. It also just counts all the sets for the entire routine rather than each round, so I don’t know how close to my next rest I am. Going to have to find another app if this isn’t fixed since I rely on it telling me which exercise comes next. Previous review: Latest update says there’s an update for the Apple Watch but it still doesn’t work. Previous review: I just added the app to my Apple Watch series 5 and all it says is “Please hold your Apple Watch close to your iPhone and tap the refresh button.” I tried emailing support and the email bounced. Help??

2 Fatal Problems:. #1: You cannot use multiple timers at once. You must "discard" one before using another. Pressing "Save" doesn't resume the exact amount of Seconds either. #2: The App will not resume your countdown if you accidentally close the app. You also cannot see the timer on the lock screen, nor does a notification appear for when an interval is complete. It's still an outstanding app, cool interface, nice colors, and decent sounds, but I'm uninstalling because I need something that can handle multiple timers at once for the sake of my productivity. If they provide these features, i will download again.

Want to love. There is so much about this interval timer I do love. It’s simple, intuitive, easy to program custom intervals… what I don’t like is that when I leave the timer screen (say to look at a workout or to change music etc), if I forget to return to the interval app as the open app displayed on my screen, the alert telling me to change to the next interval won’t audibly ring. The timer keeps running in the background when the app is open, even if it’s not on the phone display, it continues running through the intervals just as it should, but the alarm itself won’t ding audibly to alert me **unless the app is open on my screen.** It’s thrown me off several times. It also seems like an easy fix! So hopefully developers will make this adjustment in a future iteration of the app. If it weren’t for this one issue, I’d have no problem giving the app 5 stars!

Fabulous Interval Timer. I love this timer and use it daily. I enjoy how it keeps track of my timed progress. That helps keep me accountable and honest. The dings and color changes are super helpful in identifying when it’s time to switch exercises. I can’t give it five stars because it isn’t as flexible with timing as I would like/need it to be (a bit more complex interval choices would be nice), as it was strange figuring out how to design a workout at first. I’d also really love if I could make folders instead of scrolling down to find workouts, as I keep adding new ones. All in all, it solidly gets the job done.

suggestions. Love your app,a great helper to set my workouts routine. I think there’s still improvement space. As a common habit, we put several movements into a column, then we repeat this colomn for many times. Each movements have different requirements, it’s really inconvenient to input details times and times. I was wondering if it’s possible to set up an option to copy and paste the entire setting of a single movement. It will definitely help a lot. Hope the app become better and better

Finally!!. I have searched and used and searched and used and searched and used for a very long time and always was disappointed. I like to do hiit at the gym after lifting weights and I don't have Bluetooth headphones so I have to tuck my phone in my bra. All the others wouldn't keep going if I went out of the app. So I couldn't close my phone and when it was in my bra it would keep pausing it, closing and I had to keep restarting the timer. Super easy to use and get the timer and rounds going and I love seeing my hard work on the screen throughout the week

Premier App Sync. I have this app on my iPhone and have loved it for years. I use it for my outdoor group personal training business. I recently downloaded it to my Mac computer to use for my online training. The export (upgrade to premium was necessary) worked wonderfully at first for having routines on both my phone and Mac. But if I use a premium feature in a routine I’m only able to play it once on the Mac and get an error message that I need to upgrade in order to okay again. Super frustrating as it is one & the same iCloud account and I already am paying for premium on my phone. Hope there’s a workaround!!

Love it. A couple tweaks would be nice. This has become my go to app for my HIIT workouts, including for treadmill intervals. I love that the timer still works when looking at other apps and that I can write what exercise is next. The timer is loud and very clear. I like that I can put in rest intervals, even if it’s only five seconds to give me a chance to set up for the next exercise. It would be nice if in that rest or low interval there was the option to show what exercise is coming up so I don’t have to wait until that interval starts to get into position. I also wish there was an option to look at the workout as a list during the workout. As it is now, I have exit the workout to actually just look at it as a whole.

I used to really like it..... I have used interval timer for about five years. It has been great. I have LOVED IT, really. However, recently the app started interrupting my workouts with annoying adds. First the adds just displayed at the bottom of the screen, which I could tolerate. Now they have become more intrusive and actually pop-up, blocking the screen for several seconds or more, causing me to have to stop and try to remove the add so I could see my freakin' time! I have tried a request to limit the adds through the Google option they give you, but it is a joke....they keep coming. I despise these advertisers and whatever they are peddling and I will bet that most people who are having their workouts/precious time interrupted feel the same, so STOP IT! The pop ups are just unacceptable.

User friendly.. I love this app, you can customize the colours, sounds, reps, sets basically everything you need for your various workouts. Can be used whilst listening to your music and doesn’t stop your songs.

Good but expensive. This app is great for what it’s designed for, and I also use it to manage my presentations with clear colour coding for intro, content, wrap up and question time. That being said it’s a little on the expensive side for what it is

Great app missing countdown timer. I love this app and have been using it for years. The only thing missing is a 3 sec countdown, it lists it as one of the features but I can’t see an option to turn this on anywhere! That would make it 5 stars. Also the ability to drag and drop your sets would be nice.

Simple and effective. Great app and does exactly what I want it to. I use it for interval running as well as HIIT exercises. I would love to have an Apple Watch compatible version though so I don’t have to take my phone on a run so fingers crossed this becomes an option soon!

Best app ever....!. I Love this app....! I can set my workouts to different timings and the app alerts me over my workout track...! So I can still listen to my fave tunes while getting the timed alerts...! It helps me keep on track at the gym for HIIT sessions, weight sessions and I keep my stretching and rest periods to the right time....! I Love it....!

Does what it says on the tin. Other “free” apps lock you out after 7 days, this one lets you keep using it. Easy to use, you get a couple of ads here and there which aren’t too bad, and you get to focus on doing what you’re doing rather than messing around a bloated app like some other ones.

Good app but ads stuff it up. The app setup is good but it was much better when I first started using it years ago. Lately, the ads actually interrupt your workouts and often, the ads are foreign so you dont know what to press to close it. The subscription fee’s are way overpriced for what it is so not worth paying for. I might consider a one off $5 fee but thats about it

Does exactly what it says + free!. Simple to use, and it’s free. All you need to know. Good sounds and colours if you’re bothered by that, also works when the app is closed so can hop between apps during rest.

Excellent. A suggestion:. This is an excellent app. Something I’d like to see would be the ability to tap and drag to rearrange intervals when creating or editing a workout. I use this app for my circuit routines and being able to add an interval between others would be terrific. Hope to see this functionality in an update sometime soon - thanks for an excellent app!

Good basic timer, just wish it could do more. This is a good basic timer, however I have used other apps where there was a copy and duplicate function on intervals. If this app could do that then this would be an amazing app and I wouldn’t need to use other timers

Great app but…. It’s a great app and easy to set up but… I Would like it if with the Apple Watch there was an option to have it tap for each change so I don’t have to keep looking for the changes instead of concentrating on my workouts. Perhaps a slow tap for low and fast tap for high.

Best workout timer. Unlike other apps you have infinite workouts and option in those workouts which is a big sell point for me. Premium isn’t necessary! although it’s reasonably priced with nice bonuses

Best free interval timer out there. Thanks for this awesome interval timer. It works really well and is free. The only thing I would ask for is a rest option in the settings because I have had to use low intervals as rests. Possibly also make it so you can have the name of exercise in interval. A bit more freedom with different intervals being different lengths please. But that's all, and I’m working fine without them. Thanks😄

Return to Running post surgery. This app is a great tool. I have been unable to run since May and just started up again mid September 2022 I have also had surgery in this time. In a very short amount of time I have been able to increase my running goals and stamina. Using the interval training has been key to successfully returning to running and helping my mental health through positive achievement goals. Many thanks. 🏃

Great Interval Timer. Simple to use for interval fixed exercises, very easy to navigate and set up. Would give five stars if free exercise timing could be added to schedule (ie using a fixed cycle until too tired to continue, then user stops the timer and the exercise is logged).

Very good. Love this app. Makes running really easy. As a tennis player, I need to do these interval runs at least 4 times a week and setting up those runs needs to be very quick. This app allows me to program runs very easily and in a short period of time. If you are looking for a timer for running or any other hit work out, I highly recommend this one!

Wow. Beat interval timer.. Trying too ok remember where I was up to with all my physio routines I needed to do were impossible using the Apple timer. I can get them all done and not forget where I am o up p to. Thanks. Great app 👍🏻

Amazing App. Working as a personal trainer, this app has shown its value from day one when designing sessions for clients (and myself)! I’ve used other interval timer apps, but none have equaled the quality of this one!

Excellent app. I've enjoyed using this app for the past 6 years. It's flexible in its choices for creating routines. It's the best app I've found and love to use. It's easy to use, I have the ability to personalise my settings. I LOVE this app, will continue to use it and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

Ad Freezing App Whyyyy!. What’s up with the ad in Chinese that is freezing the app so I can’t use it?? I’ve used the app for years and was great until now - every time I click on the timer to start my program an ad written in Chinese or other Asian language (I don’t know because I CANT READ IT) comes up and won’t go away! My only option is to close the app then when I open it again and click on the program I want it pops up and freezes the screen again! There might be something on the ad that I need to click to get rid of it but I can’t read it it’s in another language - so the app is unusable looks like time for a new interval timer, chow:)

Just what I needed. I’ve been able to program in a number of different workouts each with there own specific intervals. I like the user interface it’s clean and simple. I like the colours the screen changes to as sometimes I can’t hear the chime. And I love that I can pick a sound and make it loud to hear over the gym music. The app has helped me stay motivated and increase attention during my workouts. I’m loving that 20 minutes workouts actually only take 20 not my usual 40 mins.

Where did the volume go?. Just updated the app and the volume seems to have all but disappeared. Got the sound effects turned up to max and can only hear the alarms if iPad is held up to my ear. Not advisable when rowing! Haven’t upgraded my iOS to 11.2.2 yet, still on 11.2.1 but that shouldn’t be the problem. Hoping I can find a fix soon. Apart from the volume problem this app is fantastic! Easy to use and adjust workouts to tailor to each session.

This is the best motivator!. Found this app by chance and As I’d read how good HIT is I’ve found it brilliant. I’ve put in a variety of programs and find it easy to use. Without the timer I would find it impossible to keep on track

Just one suggestion. Absolutely love it, my only suggestion is to, when a sound goes off, either make the sound louder than the music or lower the music volume, play the sound then make it back how it was just like how iPhones do that when you get a notification. Thanks

Great app but intermittent music bug. I’ve always loved this app, but recently the timer sounds either don’t play while I have another app open, or fully stop any sound I have playing in another app (radio etc) so that I have to manually hit play on my music in every set. Really hope this bug gets fixed as I rely on the app!

Apple Watch Issues. Great app overall. However, I haven’t been able to use it on my Apple Watch. Each time I try to sync it I receive the error: Message reply took too long. I’ve tried a variety of things to fix it and have had no success and the developer support link takes me to a error page.

This Free timer App is perfect. Free app, worth downloading. You can do any timer or circuit You want. Works so well and I love this app. The ads can get annoying but it’s worth it because of the features you have without paying anything for it. I love it!

Wish it tracked distance. I love how easy to use and set up my personal interval training is. The different sound alerts make it easy for me while I’m running so I don’t need to look at my phone. The only thing it’s missing is tracking distance. Unfortunately I can’t compare my previous runs in terms of distance covered compared to previous runs. I bought the paid component hoping this would allow distance to be tracked but it doesn’t. I think I would stay with the free version of this app for that reason.

Love it!. This app is so easy to use for different types of workouts, I can save them all without having to change it each time I use the timer! Highly recommend Xx

Works great. I've been using this app for over a year and have seen great results. It makes working out easy because you don't have to think about the exercise you are doing

Very easy and convenient workout app. This is a good app which allows users to easily access and create set and rep workout timers. It has a very simple, easy and comfortable layout which allows you to get the full experience out of the app. I would highly recommend this up as it even has a data and graphing page for you to view how much workout you have done per a day, week and month. Overall this is a very good app and is highly recommended.

Obtrusive ads. I would have given this app 5 stars up until this week. I knew it had ads but previously I have not had video ads. As a Personal Trainer, I and many of my colleagues use this app. The ads were fine until last week when I got a video ad in the middle of a class. It would have been nice to get a warning that you were going to do that!!! And then when I upgraded you have to download a separate app and redo all the times again. It would have been nice to have an in app purchase to remove the ads.

Easy to use. Can put in a varied sequence of intervals very easily. Like that you are able to use different noises to indicate the change of intervals as it helps to keep track of the plan.

Very handy and easy to use. This App is very easy to figure out and use. This has made it very handy, not only for the gym and workout, but for a whole bunch of other things around the house and workshop that occur in cycles.

Music keeps stopping. I paid for this for the second yet in a row because it won’t let you keep using workouts you have created if you don’t pay. Now the music keeps stopping during workouts. I have deleted songs from my playlist thinking it may be an issue with the specific tracks but it keeps happening. I have to stop exercising and press play again

Ads are annoying. I really enjoy this app, except that there has been a change to the way the ads happen. You set your program, press start, and an ad pops up and plays so that you go to do your workout and realise that an ad is playing and you have to stop and skip it. It doesn’t ensure you watch the ad because it starts playing when you have gotten into position and the inconvenience of it is enough to ensure that I NEVER purchase anything advertised as a result. Apart from that I would recommend this app.

Aggressive advertising. The app is good and easy to use. But the free version is full of aggressive pop up ads that don’t let you get back to the app unless you click on them. Some of the ads are in different languages, and they disguise the ‘no’ or ‘x’ button, making it a fifty percent chance you click yes and end up getting phished.

Push ads no thanks. Pop up ads? Annoying! Illegal access to my setting controls. I turned off mobile data to stop annoying full screen pop up ads. Then I start getting these full screen pop up ads with links while my settings show that the program does not have access to mobile data. . This means that the program has bypassed my settings to put an ad up. Is this legal? I don’t think so!

Best HIIT app I’ve ever used. I hardly provide reviews however I’ve got to give credits where it’s due. I’ve been using this App for almost 2 years and I have to say it has been working perfectly for my high intensity workout. Never had any glitches that would disrupt my workout sessions. Ease of use and highly flexible to suit your workout routine. The App does exactly what it is designed to do. Really loving it. Fantastic work on the App guys!

Worth the download. Does exactly what it should and is simple to navigate. With a bit of creativity, this timer can be used for varying activities. I’ve only used this app 3 times, but I can see myself using it for the 300th time if it keeps working like this.

Would give this App 5 Stars for "Standing like a Tree" Practice but have 1 Suggestion. It is invaluable in helping to develop my endurance in "Zhan Zhuang" but it would be vastly better if it let me rearrange the cycles so I could insert a new one in between ones I've already programmed rather than solely at the end, or change the order of them as my practice is refined. Please please please!

Workout timings. It is amazing to be able to set up timings for certain workouts and be able to save for future training sessions. The ability to have the whole setup for different timings within the session is just next level. I can imagine that the premium would be mind blowing.

Workout time!. App on. Follow instructions, no thinking. Awesome! Flexible in setting it up - allows for all my variations with ease. Love it tells me what to do (text rather than sound option), I know how much time to set aside and how I often I workout. Early app bugs fixed .... I'm still working on my body bugs!

Great app that you can tailor to build fitness. Love this ap. Helped get me running again after a break through being able to slowly increase my intervals. Great for HIIT training too.

Must have Free App. Saves multiple workouts & is very intuitive. Apple Watch compatible with subscription. It’s a little glitchy in the Apple watch but I’m sure they’ll fix it with updates

Simple, easy to use and does the job!. It’s a simple but effective app! Easy to use and love that you can create your own simple workouts. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the ad pop-ups, which isn’t limited to this app obviously and because you can’t create more complete workout with more than 2 timezones, but I’m sure these limitations are addressed if you purchase a better version.

Perfect!. I love this app, I use it for everything from HIIT to yoga. Could you please give us the option to finish the workout with the sounds menu rather than the automatic voice saying workout complete.

Frustrated. When I got this I was able to click out of app & listen to music or watch something & sounds went over top of my other app so I knew when intervals were up but for some reason that’s stopped working & now I have to stare at the app instead or it stops sounding my intervals. If I have 2 screens open it stops show to sound. Super frustrating & makes me annoyed at the changes in this app & bitter about it. Not happy anymore when it was great!

Doesn’t work now. Use to be great - now it just doesn’t allow you to use this app at all. Click on the icon and nothing operates on the screen. Useless

Fine but…. It’s totally fine, functional, like the colours and customisation. I’ve even got the annual premium subscription so I can use the watch app. But when I’m wearing headphones and using the phone app, the interval sound interrupts the music and I have to manually restart it. Alternatively, when I use the watch app it it doesn’t play the interval sound through the headphones but out loud from the watch speaker which is inconvenient in public. I’d rather it just vibrated through the watch but even with this setting in it doesn’t seem to respond. As is, it’s really only useful for home use for me.

Excellent! I recommend :). Excellent! I recommend :)

App très fonctionnelle. Annonces en Chinois dont on ne peut pas se débarrasser.

Amazing Variable Interval Timer. Using this for my running training program where there are different warm up, running, walking, and cool down sets each week. This app allows me to create multiple timer options for each week with lots of different times as my training increases. As I run I just listen for the bells / buzz from my phone to know when to switch. Love love love it so far. I wish there was an Apple Watch app feature for this so I could keep my phone at home!

🧐. Very good but not cool

Awesome. Love this app! Perfect for my workouts.

Bien. Devrait se synchroniser avec apple

The ads are a problem. The app itself is great - the problem is that they have pop up ads in other languages that you can’t skip. It’s really annoying.

Hits. La pulsation cardiaque ne fonctionne pas.

Facile et efficace. Bon choix d’options

Timer. Great for training! Still love it!!

Great. Reliable

Simple and Seamless. Customizable for any desired interval program. Start your program, push play on your music (in the app. You can switch playlists in the app as well) and let ‘er buck. You can lock your iPhone or iPad screen and the program still runs.

Works well. It’s simple and it works the chimes are not annoying

Perfect. I love this app! Easy to use and very good timer guide.

Great Little App. Great for functionality and for what it does. My only suggestion would be, as we can rename the cycle and I did to show which set I would be doing, would be to show what is next during the break between cycles

Premium is a subscription which I don’t like. I don’t like that I can’t pay once for premium. Besides that I do highly rate this app. It’s my favourite interval timer I’ve found so far.

Best app for interval training. Can't do my HIIT without this app. Great features with ease to use.

Good timer but. There are a lot of ads and they are now being drawn with the close button off screen so they can’t be dismissed. Developer is making a money grab and the app quality is at best moderate.

Good. Tried many. Best found so far. Easy to use.

Great app for beginers. Easy to create running routines. It would be great if we could synch with a watch (polar, garmin, etc).

They’re awesome. Thank you for such a useful app for anyone who needs to exercise (everybody)

Love this app!. Excellent for HIIT training sessions ☀️

Exercise Timer. Works really well, very easy to customize.

Doesn’t open. Very good app that I’ve been using for years. With one of the recent updates the ad on the opening screen doesn’t close so the app isn’t usable any more. Hope this gets fixed

Ads. It used to do what I want in an interval timer, but they started including ads interrupting the workout.

Previous look. The app is great to set up different intervals. But the look of the most recent update is not nice. The previous version's look was much nicer.

Perfect. Had no issues. I don’t pay extra so I just deal with the ads. Once I start my workout there are no ads interrupting. I like the customization of the app. A++

Perfect!. I run a seniors water aerobics class at the local pool. This is perfect for when not enough people show up for counting.

Great App. Great for workouts!

Dumb. Advertisements in some Asian language is useless. Especially when you want to get the shot off the screen to use the app. Morons!

Timer. Excellent!

No start delay. You also have upgrade windows popping up the first time you use the app.

Perfect App. I enjoy using it. Above all its being a timer the font could be very large and makes it easy to use without glasses for me.☺️

It’s good.... Thorough and intuitive, not sure if it works with Spotify, that would be a good thing.. Go for it!

Great. Awesome app

Not bad. Reasonable functionality for the price.

Great app. Very useful timer for interval exercise

Love this app!!. This is my go to timer for all my TABATA and HIIT needs.

New version is very difficult to use. Update the app and now can't use. Very difficult to use. I loved the app very frustrating to not be able to use anymore

Easy & Customizable. Great, I love you can customize the intervals

Simple and easy to use. Exactly as advertised and super easy to use and view

Amélioration à apporter pour l’Apple Watch. J’aime bien l’application iPhone.

Not free as it states. It was a free app and after a few use a window pops up and you are unable to use it only if you pay.

Great app!. Love this app!

👍🏽. Works well

App. I love this app

Does not work on Apple Watch. Tried to get timers to work on Apple Watch many times. It just keeps telling me to put my phone near my watch and press Refresh. That does nothing. Tried turning watch off and on. Didn’t help. The app is good otherwise but I need something that works on my Apple Watch and this doesn’t

Exactly what I was looking for. Very easy to use and exactly what I needed. I can update the routine as I build up endurance. I would of given this app a 5 star rating if it was able to verbally announce the next step. Right now it only makes an announcement when the routine is completed.

Love it fabulous. Awesome tool

New to Moderate / HIIT Intervals. So far I’ve been working on figuring out what my Moderate / HIIT intervals should be, “what works for me”. Interval timer has been very easy to use and adjust in different intervals to see what works best. Once I get this figuered out, then as I improve the intervals it will easy to tweak. You can watch your blood pressure improve and heart strength and stamina improve as you go. I’m a male 76 yo and can jogg in moderate (70% - 89% of maximum HR), and sprint in HIIT (90% - 100%) just slowly extending the length of periods to fit my goals. 5 star

Great for interval running but…. This has been my go to app for years for interval timing for running, and it has always been great. However for some reason the last few months the music feature keeps messing up. It stops playing at the end of a set and I have to manually restart it every single time, which means taking my phone out from a pocket or a water bottle, or just running with it in my hand and risking dropping the phone. I would love to know if there’s a way to fix this, nothing I have tried has worked.

It sure does time those intervals. This interval timer app does everything I want an interval timer app to do. I am very impressed by how large the numbers are when the interval is being timed and I like that there are different sounds that can be used to signal that an interval has lapsed. If you are looking for a simple, easy to program interval timer app, you should try this one. It’s an app and it times intervals. I have been using it for years. Now if only it could cook my dinner!! AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Easy, versatile. I’ve used this for a few years now, for simple intervals for walk to run programs, to more complex high intensity interval training where break between sets are needed. Takes a few minutes to set up (interval period, breaks/repeats, high or low interval first), but easy once you work it out. Can save you various intervals, so you only need to tweak occasionally. Overall, works great.

Unusable with the number of advertisements. I have been using this app every day for years, but the recent update (April 2020) made the app unusable. They need to reduce the number and frequency of ads. I don’t mind an ad playing when the timers end, but since the most recent update they have been unbearable. Every time I open a new timer, an ad pops up. When I pause a timer, an ad pops up. Every time I leave and then go back to the open app, an ad pops up. Often, when I close one ad another ad pops up immediately. When I went into settings and tapped “write a review”, guess what? An ad popped up. As you might imagine, this is incredibly frustrating. This level of advertising makes the app unusable.

Great App!!... However, unfortunately I sense “Greed”…. I absolutely Love the functionality of the app! However, I am not at all a fan of the recurring charges, as there’s no “subscription services” being provided, such video streaming content. Apps of this nature are typically available for a one-time purchase, instead of recurring fees, which shows that the developer(s) are desiring to profit from consistently charging users (subliminal greed), instead of offering a one-time fee, and then creatively adding in that can then be opted-in for a recurring charge (such as services on the topics of health & fitness).

Pretty Perfect for a Free App. This app is wonderful, I use it everyday to workout in. I love HIIT workouts and didn't know how to properly set it up, but the app is pretty self explanatory. The ONLY thing to make this app PERFECT is if I could write what exercise I'm suppose to be doing on the active interval. But like this is free and I literally just have a notepad on my phone so I start the timer, double tap to my notepad, and go. The time doesn't lag/stop and the ding is still very audible, it's wonderful. Highly recommend.

My favorite app to use in the Gym. I’ve had this app for a while now and finally decided to just purchase the subscription for the year so I didn't have ads anymore. I’m so glad I did. I use this app at the gym and when I condition my cheerleaders. I love the feature that switch the song at the beginning of every set.*chefs kiss* Kudos to whoever added that feature. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the best Hiit app ever. I absolutely love this app. It allows to add more than one cycle, include time to rest, plus has colors so you can distinguish between each cycle or if it is low or high. The sound helps to track your time and be aware when you have to switch to another exercise or you have to rest. I love you also can play you favorite music when you are working out.

The BEST app for PACING. I’m 68 years old and don’t have the stamina I once did — though I’m grateful to be in better shape the most my age. I need to run but get tired too soon if I don’t remember to slow down at times. This app has helped me train for races and has motivated me to get back at it when I’ve taken “breaks” from running. I really like that I can personalize runs and save the interval timings to use later.

Best timer!!!. Pros: Love the app, love how customizable it is, love that I can easily save my created timers, love how the song changes every cycle or interval....it keeps the energy up throughout the workout. Cons: I only wish the app had Apple Watch support and that I could get my created timers on my wrist. If I could start the interval time on the watch and it talked to the health, and activity app so I could get calories burned and credit for the workout that would be amazing. Even without this, it’s still the best timer in the market.

update — music won’t keep playing during workout. I’ve been using this app almost every day for more than a year and it’s been a gem. But ever since the latest update, which came just as I upgraded to an iPhone 12, the app no longer allows music to play in the background throughout the work out. Every time a bell/whistle sounds to indicate a set change, the music stops and will not restart. This is crazy frustrating. I’ve tried starting music from the app, starting it outside the app, shutting everything down etc, all to no avail. I really hope this bug is fixed in the next update or else I’m gonna have to find a new interval timer app.

It just works. I have downloaded so many interval apps looking for something to help me hold stretches longer. This is the best so far. Perfect. - 5 years later. Still love it. Still use it. It would be great if the description outlined the difference between the free version and pro. I can't tell the difference. Also the timer sounds are pretty bad. It would be awesome if there were a simple "ding". The current options are too loud, too long, jarring, aggressive. I use the tweeting one because it's more soothing but it's lime 5 seconds long! No bueno

May be its just me but. The app has good interface but it lacks the requisite pauses between intervals that are required for any hiit workout to work for you. You need to do your intervals and rest- getting the heart rate lower and then high intensity or alternating low intensity but always getting your heart rate up higher than resting. You are supposed to go from interval to interval without a designated pause. So either this app doesn’t do that or the intervals are set at an u usually high time before rest - like intervals of ten mi utes more before rest. But for a newbie to hiit, this is way toooo long. Going back to the original hiit base line of 20 secs. Activity to 30 seconds rest, then building to 30 seconds activity to 30 seconds rest. Etc

New update ruins app. Having this running in the background to hear the dings every interval now STOPS my music since the latest update (Jun 8, 2023) playing in the background. Incredibly frustrating and ruins the flow of my HIIT workouts. Edit (same day): App had a bug, fixed when I restarted lol. Great app, been using it for six months—was nervous for a second that I had to pay for it to enjoy it like I always did.

Simple and good, could be improved. I’ve been using this app for two weeks or so now for calisthenics exercises (from the bodyweight fitness subreddit) and I quite like it. Having timers, especially with the simple interface, colors, and different alarm sounds keeps me on track. I think the custom routine editing features are lacking some basic functions. I would like to be able to reorder my sets. As the app is now, if I wanted to make an addition to the beginning of the workout, I would have to make a new routine from scratch. This is an annoyance, but otherwise I quite like the app.

Almost perfect. This app is mostly good, aside from one issue. When you leave the app, it'll work for a bit, and then randomly stop working. If you weren't meant to be able to leave the app it shouldn't keep working at all, but it does, so it REALLY bugs me when it stops working every single time I use it. I've tried allowing notifications and stuff too so it's not any of that. But if you don't need to leave the app it works great!

Most inclusive offers. I’ve tried a few different HIIT timers, and this one offers more options for the price point. It’s not as pretty as some other timers, but performs far better. I use the free version and I can customize sets, set times and interval frequencies all while syncing up to my playlist of choice. I haven’t tried the paid option, but I’d be more likely to go with a subscription to this app over other timers just based on the functionality of the free version.

Great app overall. This is a great app overall I use it daily the only improvement I would like to see is a countdown timer at the end of each set or round so you have an idea when you’re almost done and it’s time to grab the next exercise to move to the next position also a countdown like three bells ring ding ding towards the end of a round would be nice to give you an opportunity to really push out towards the end of each set or round

Not syncing on Apple Watch. I’ve been using this app for years and I really loved it. Recently there’s a crush of ads which is annoying but still functioning. I saw that there was an upgrade that would allow this app to be accessed from my Apple Watch. I excitedly signed up. However that is where the excitement ended. It is installed but then just sat on a screen that said syncing. I then deleted it off of my watch to try to reinstall and it just spun without installing. I have canceled my subscription. Perhaps this will be fixed in the future and I can try again.

Color of each exercise. LOVE this app! I use it every day! I’ve written a review a while back about the colors of each exercise and I’m so happy that I now have the option of choosing which color I use for each workout! Great work! Updated review: I was hoping that a color wheel would’ve been installed since my last review. I have over a hundred workouts and need more colors. Other than that the functionality is terrific.

Quality of life updates.. I love the app for a lot of reasons but there are small changes that could be made such as the ability of copy a set and edit times for example. Recently the watch extension stopped giving haptic feedback or making noise between sets which kind of defeats the purpose of having the extension in my opinion. Also some of my workouts show which exercise I’m on in my workout while some don't so I have to have the session up on my phone on the edit screen so I can see what I’ve got next. I’d also like to see the watch sync with the Apple fitness app, it does show I worked out but gives no detail like if I used the Apple fitness app. I’m hoping these things can be added in the future especially some of the bugs with the Apple Watch because honestly if it doesn’t I’m not renewing my subscription next year it just isn’t worth it.

Bug came back. Been using the app for years. A few months ago, a big came up. I would turn on the music in iTunes, then open the timer app. I would start my timer, and then for some reason, the song would be put on repeat in iTunes. The only way to shift songs is manually, or go into itunes and undo the repeat. But if I did that, and went back to IntervalTimer, the repeat would be activated again. This big went away, but with a new version that updated around Sept 30, 2010, the bug came back. It is a very annoying bug. Otherwise the timer works as expected, and is very good.

Good customizability but lacks some basic functionality. It's a nice app that allows high customizability. But lack of these key features makes it frustrating: - no ability to add a cycle mid cycles when editing your workouts (or to move cycles around). Making you have to rebuild the whole workout if you want to add smtg midway - no ability to just copy cycles in a longer workout. This would be very useful if you design a workout with alternating identical cycles - no ability to share/send saved workout plans. This could be amazing to allow sharing plans with friends (not to mention spread the app more)

NO EXPENSE. the last few timers i’ve downloaded have only given me a day or two until they only let me keep using it if i pay for premium. i don’t have to pay for this and i can add all the workouts(and save them) that i do without a limit. it even tells you how many hrs you’ve worked out for that week and keeps ur prior data saved without expenses. wouldn’t get any other interval timer

I loved this app. .. until they started charging. I love the calendar layout, color coded workouts, the overall simplicity, and the option to end on a rest, most interval timers don’t allow that option. However, why would I pay $10 every year when I can get the other Intervals app for $8 lifetime access? I really did enjoy this app until they started charging annual rates because now the free version is packed with ads and there are limits on how many workouts I can create. The price is not bad.. it’s cheap. But, charging an annual rate for a timer? That’s ridiculous.

Does exactly what it says it does.. I use this primarily for boxing training. The option to make complex workouts, with different interval times is great. You can program in your entire workout, hit start and just go. No stopping to reset the timer or change the length of intervals. Best part is, you can save and name them. It’s a little tedious, but afterwards, you’ll have a full stable of workouts you can keep on rotation while training. Pretty much been using this app every training session for months now, no complaints or issues.

Awesome app. I have tried so many timers on my phone, they just don’t work! But when I found this app it was amazing and it fits all my needs! This app I highly recommend for anyone that needs a timer. Whoever made this timer is amazing and I will always wait this five stars! If you are looking for a timer this is the one to get trust me are you set for all kinds of things are use itTo turn myself in the shower, for my workouts, and for much much more!-Katie Burgundy

No complaints. This app works perfectly and has all the customization and features I need. There are advertisements, but they're small and don't intrude on usability. Other similar apps put all their useful features behind a paywall, but not this one! So glad I found it. Update: the most recent update made this app even better! User interface is beautiful and modern, and navigation is easier than before. A true 5-star app

History Editing. Love this app - it’s simple & works for my needs; however, I wish I could go back and edit my history! I created a new routine knowing that it deleting my previous routine would delete it from my history, but not even being able to go back and at least add a note where the old routine was kind of throws me off track in the app! I know it was my own user error and I should have just updated the routine instead of deleting altogether, but the option to edit would be helpful!

Best one I’ve used. Love this timer. My barre teacher uses it for our class and it’s great for my runs when I alternate jogging and walking. For years I’ve been just watching my watch for intervals. This is so much better just listening for the bell! The sounds you can choose to separate warm up, intervals and cool down are really helpful. Volume is great and I can always hear my sounds to change intervals. I really like how I can skip to next phase with the forward arrow.

Awesome app for any one doing timed workout on their own. I got into timed workouts about three years ago. The biggest challenge was to find that can let you store routines in different types of configuration(high interval, low interval, rest, repeat, etc). Interval timer is able to do all of it. It didnt always have all of the mentioned items, but it has gotten there a while back.

Kicked off of timed session. If you open the app a second time in a time period in close succession of having closed it out the first time I have noticed that approximately one to five minutes later the app will randomly kick you out of the new timed session you have just started with no warning. This happens on a consistent basis since the new update. I think this is a glitch with the app wanting to show you a new advertisement while the timed session has already been started by the user.

Suggestions. I couldn’t send feedback because the app insists I don’t have email set up 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I had a few suggestions to send… 1. Have an “Up next” section to show the name of the next interval, especially during the last set. 2. Have an “X” to clear the entire interval name instead of having to backspace the entire name, especially when first setting up the interval and it has whatever default name on there… 3. Start interval name typing with a capital letter. It’s usually a default thing, I’m not sure why it wants to start typing the interval name with a lowercase? 4. Allow us to attach a picture or a link to each movement so we know what the movement looks like! 5. Make the # of sets larger/more visible since I don’t always have my phone close enough to see very well what number I’m on, and the numbers are so small. That’s all for now! Otherwise a good app!

Awesome interval timer app. I use this timer for a wide variety of workouts and find it extremely helpful. It can make simple HIIT timers or complex timers to combine Tabata and other HIIT timings, or I also use for the spin bike to setup rides at home, or for interval runs outside. I love that I can save so many different routines, it’s easy to take one routine, make slight adjustments in times to make it shorter or longer and save as a new routine. The ads can be annoying but they only pop up when opening or closing a timer so they are bearable.

Intrusive New Ads. I’m out. Started a timer. Advertisement blared, hiding timer. Bye-bye. Old review: I have used this app for at least five years. It’s my second favorite workout timer but my favorite stopped updating about five years ago and Apple pulled it from my devices for that reason. I started using this app when my fave stopped working right. The main thing I’d like improved in this app: when I am working out with a continuous timer but need to take a break or transition to a new exercise, a second or two may pass before I press pause after the timer sounds the end of the work period. When I hit the back button, it doesn’t return to the top of that period but goes back more than a minute (for example, the time is at 1:06 but returns to 0:00 instead of 1:00). This also subtracts a minute from my workout total. I cope by hitting both back and forward. I also find it challenging to program complex workouts with rests and multiple rounds and getting that to equal a set amount of time (e.g., five rounds of exercises including sets to equal a 60 minute workout) but that could be my personal math challenges.

Good app for multiple types of workouts. I don’t like purchasing apps so I use the free ones and my only complaint is the ads but you get what you pay for I guess. I am a trainer and I run group classes and I like that I can save all of my preset workouts for each different type and level of class. I wish there was an option to defer the rest time after the last round before the cool down but no big deal. I use it daily and would recommend

Not happy with the update. I do like how easy this is to use and how customizable it is. I do wish, though, that there was more variety in the color options to differentiate between workouts, and I was using the feature where it saved the last workout you did and that was the first thing you saw when you opened the app. Now it starts back at the beginning, and I have to go into the calendar to see what workout I did last. Also, the color in the drop-down list does not match the main color of the workouts I do, so it's even harder to track my workouts in the calendar. The new update has decreased the simplicity and efficiency of the app. 😡

Great App for interval training. The interval timer app has been the perfect addition to my training routine. I used to struggle to time my exercises by counting (1001, 1002, etc…), but I knew I wasn’t being consistent. With the interval timer app I know exactly when I have reached my goal for each exercise and I can set the perfect transition time. I am very happy with this app and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their exercise routine to the next level!

Motivation for a Couch Potato. Gets me motivated to move every step of the way. Before: Easy to customize and save my programs. During: Easy to keep track of high/low intervals with color-coding and auditory prompts. I also enjoy being able to listen to my music on another app while running this one. After: I love the emoji prompt right afterwards to remind me that exercising feels good. It also helps to see my progress tracked on the calendar, including the emojis. A+ all around!

Awsome. I use this app at the gym and it’s really easy to set up and use. I love how it’s free and it works so well. I also like how it has built in music that you can listen to but if you don’t and there music you can use another app and have it playing in the background and you can still hear the bell when it’s over. This app has everything that I was looking for totally recommend!

Update Upgrade. I previously left a 2 Star review because an earlier update impacted the volume of my music, and ultimately the usefulness of the app imo. After the most recent bug fixes, I’m upgrading a 4 Star app, to a 5 for customer service. The app works as well as one could hope and is perfect for any timed workouts with ample customization options. What bumped this up for me is the developers quick response in addressing a clear issue.

Simple, intuitive, perfect. If I wanted to create a HIIT timer, I could not do better than this. I love that you can adjust the timer volume so that when it switches to the high-intensity portion, the “ding” doesn’t break your eardrums. I set it just loud enough to be heard over my running music. The controls are so easy and intuitive, I had this set up and ready to go in about 5 minutes after downloading! Kudos to the designers and programmers of this app! It’s helping me make a huge difference in my life By making HIIT an easy thing to do. How is this free?! Thank you!

Brilliant Design, works flawlessly. I needed an interval timer for doing physical therapy after shoulder surgery. I downloaded a half dozed highly rated ones. After trying out each one, none of them had an easier, more intuitive interface then Interval Timer. It lets me do my workout without spending half my time messing with the phone. The ads are minimal but I went and paid the $10 for the app because it’s the best in its class and works absolutely perfect for my needs.

I like cardio again!. After years of brisk walking on the treadmill, I was getting really bored with it. As a morning exerciser, I was skipping workouts due to the monotony. Discovering this app has me hopping up out of bed again the the morning. I have routines set up for several time lengths so I can get a quick workout in when I’m pressed for time. I find I am now increasing my speed on the running intervals and loving the increase in all-day-energy I get from these sprints!

App is good, pricing model is garbage. The app is good for what it does…it allows me to setup custom timers for my workouts. The problem, it used to be free but now charges a $9.99 annual subscription for the same features. While I don’t mind paying for apps as developers should be paid for their work, how can anyone justify charging $9.99 a year when there are other apps that are free or a 1-time purchase model? I quickly looked around the App Store and found another app with all the same functionality for $8.99 1-time purchase. Dear developer, thanks for making a good app but no I am not going to pay you $10 a year just to use your workout timer when I can get the same thing cheaper elsewhere.

Quick edits to my routines is easy. I’ve been using this app for awhile and only made up my own HIIT routines. I like it a lot and mixing in my music is great. I haven’t really had much trouble with bugs until recent upgrade. My music used to only change per set and now changes with high and low intervals within the same set and that’s annoying as I use the “low interval” as my 10-15 sec rest between sets. Overall I’ve been satisfied but this change is not ideal.

Works Great...Zero Complaints. I was looking for a timer to help with my stretch therapy...which requires me to do 15 reps of stretching for 45 secs and resting 15 secs, 4 times a day. Can you imagine how difficult it was to keep up the timing, rep, and if I’m completing it 4 times a day!!! I love this app because it does the timing for me plus it logs every workout on the built calendar so I can also keep track with how often I’m completing the exercises... or not completing them. It also allows you to create and label timers for multiple exercises!

Somethings wrong. I’ve been using this for a while now. For the most part, once you set it up it works fine. My biggest complaint was that if you forget a round or break in the middle, you have to delete everything up to that point to add it, you can’t add something into the middle of your routine. But NOW, it won’t play my music for more than a few seconds before turning the music off. The timer keeps going, but no music. So I push play again and it plays for a few seconds more and then turns off again.

Guys. The ads.... I used to use this for my classes because it was the best, simplest, and most straight forward interval timer. Now I literally have to stop the class in the middle of our first round because an ad stops the timer. I now hate this app. Ads have rendered it useless. Edit: the developers responded, and I really appreciate that. Let me just say, I understand everyone wants everything for free these days and I’m sorry if my review was bitchy. It’s a free app and I really shouldn’t complain. I appreciate that you need ads to survive, I just thought those particular type were overly intrusive to the point of changing user experience. That being said, thank you for getting back to me. I will stop whining now.
