Very good but limited. It's a very efficient way to view and reblog images. However, a few things would make it better. First, gif support is a basic that's completely missing here. Another basic is the ability to see notes. I like seeing the history of a cool post. And then following new people, which you can't do here either. Finally, it'd be awesome to reblog between accounts. Making these adjustments would render the official Tumblr app pointless. Otherwise, we still need both.

Well done. Well done app and the author responds to feedback. Several fixes I am other people have asked for. My favorite tumblr client and it keeps getting better.

Best tumblr pic app yet. Fast, fully featured, a pleasant surprise given the awkward interface. Given the lack of good tumblr pic apps on the store this one stands out as the best. Only thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars, there's a bug when you link to view another blog off your dashboard or via search, following, or bookmarks, and switch to full screen, after the first pic if you hit back it takes you back to the dashboard or menu screens, respectively, instead of the detail info for that pic. Therefore you can only view the pics one at a time at that point and if you want the overview you have to go back and select that blog again (or swipe back to the first pic) ... Hopefully an easy fix in a future release. One other it's strange how you enter your tumblr account information directly to the app instead of through the Tumblr auth portal, though from what I can tell your password is stored locally on your device and not on a third party server, no way for me to know for certain though.

Can't delete an account. I love the features of this app, but I'm giving 3 stars because it doesn't seem to let you delete or log out of an account once you've signed in. Both account delete and logout features would help greatly.

Please read and get back to me. No sound will work with any of your current apps. I'm a huge fan of Tumbletail full version for iPhone and it's terribly disappointing to not be able to hear sound.

Best tumblr app ever. I've been using this app for years and I love it.

Hate the new layout... I really loved this app until the most recent version. It did everything that I wanted and worked flawlessly. Then, the layout was changed and.. Yuck. -2 stars for that. Pleas bring back the old layout. Thanks.

Koala-tea. This is a great tumblr app. Much better than the official app. It makes it so easy to go through your dash and to reblog. Only thing that I think is missing is GIF support. Other than that it does a great job and I can browse my dash almost easier than I can on my computer.

Great app. I love this app i use it every day, far more than the official app. I just wish there was support for audio posts, automatic tagging based on the type of post (i.e. When rebloging a text post the tag "text" would automatically be tagged with that post), and seeing my notifications would be great as well. If those features were added that would really put this app over the top

Great for tumblr addicts. No what language this is an app worth buying. Manly if you are a tumblr addict. This app makes it great to reblog post. The only downside is you can send or answer questions on here hopefully they will fix this in the future.

Much needed Tumblr third party app!. Back in the early days of social media and the AppStore, there used to be a plethora of third party apps for services still trying to find their market and community. Thankfully CatHand has kept up on iOS SDK updates to keep their simple, but sleek tumblr app up to snuff and I didn't even realize when they added multiple account support, and that's so welcome compared to the backwards account swapping that the 1st part app is. Tumbletail has about the best interface for casual browsing and catching up on photo blogs and illustrators. Love love love the app. Keep up the great work, CatHand!

Good but not great. This is the best app I've found for viewing pictures in your dashboard. Quick loading, good (but not great) interface, and full-screen mode. Where it falls down is discovery. There's no way that I've found to view/follow other blogs who posted or favorited a given image, which is my personal favorite means of discovering new people or content. If this is fixed or improved, this is easily a 5 star app. Edit: Now that Tumblr's official app is out, this one, unfortunately, doesn't really compete well. The only real advantage it has is the passcode lock, but the official app does enough things better that this one isn't really competing.

Post history not shown. The interface and smooth loading of the app are made well. Better than most of other tumblr app. But lack the function showing the reblog history, where it is in the demonstration pic but not in the actual app.

Great Alternative to the Official App. Running this on my fairly old 4th generation iPod Touch and it works great. It runs a lot smoother for me than the official Tumblr app, the button layout for liking, reblogging, and etc are all placed nicely and conveniently, and I really prefer the layout of the dashboard compare to other apps since it makes it much easy to scroll through and not nearly as much of a pain to find something. There are a bunch of settings to tweak to your liking like auto queuing when you hit the reblog button and more! Definitely recommended.

App works, but there is no support. I tried to call support lot of times, all approach without answer.

Not really worth it. It’s ok but not worth the price. Can’t edit posts. The review of texts in pic posts is horrible.

Hands down the BEST Tumblr app!!!. This is by FAR the best Tumblr App I have ever used. The only one that even comes close is img tumbl...and this one tops that and doesn't bug up. Totally worth two dollars, and I NEVER buy apps.

Best Tumblr Application. This is a good app that lacks certain small functionalities that could make it a great app. For example, it'd be great to be able to see your followers count. It'd also be great to be able to define your preference of reblog in your settings: public, private, or queued. If you scroll through images too quickly, reblogs and likes don't process.

Wow!. This app is freaking amazing! It has slideshows and takes 1 simple click to reblog something, not to mention the pictures are faster and better quality then regular tumblr. Great job, who ever designed this knew what they were doing :)

Update is disappointing!. The feature to easily switch among all my tumblr accounts without logging in and out of each one individually no longer exists! This feature was the only reason I used tumbletail lite. I actually bought the full version based on this attribute a few days ago and now it's gone! Truly disappointed with this update.

Issues with current update. The most current update is not loading my likes. (Most current ios uodate is installed - iPhone 6 user.) I have cleared cache, force restarted the phone, deleted and re-downloaded the app all a couple of times. It shows me the three most current likes and that is all and it wont "load more" to show me the rest of my like history.

Crash in 3.65 is fixed.. really quick. Thanks, CatHand!. Tumbletail is my go to App for browsing (and sometimes posting) to Tumblr. Like some other folks, I upgraded to the 3.65 version and got the crashing... I contacted the Dev on Twitter and a couple days later? FIXED. These things sometimes happen, and responsiveness from Devs is great. Remember kids: Developers often DO NOT read reviews. It's just too depressing. Contact the Devs any other way: Mail, Twitter, NOT here. At the very least use the 'report a problem' button and let the dev try and push a fix. Tumbletail is back to its old reliable state, and I'm happy. Yes I've tried (and bought) some others.... I just keep going back to this great App.

Has issues. It looks appealing but this version has issues, it doesnt allow me to log in by giving "login failed" errors. Logged in with tumblr via web to check if its a problem on my side but it was fine. Hopefully they fix tumbletail in the next update.

New problem. I have found this to be the best overall tumblr app in the app store, but for the last few weeks I keep getting a "Load failed. Bad request" error on both this and tview when attempting to reblog. You can do a workaround but I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue. Please fix! Although I still prefer tumblr gear, this one runs a close second. Some issues, nothing serious. Would still like to be able to post to my alternate tumblrs without having to leave the app but none of the other tumblr iPhone apps does this either.

Almost Perfect. Love the interface and the app overall with two notable and significant features for me missing - not able to view videos - not able to view notifications

Really love it, but.... I do really love the program, use it all the time... but... I really don't like the new thumbnail layout. I would like to a couple options. One, to go back to the way the thumbnails used to be displayed. Two, is if you could add a button like the Unfollow one that will let you Follow some posts that you don't already follow. Right now you have to go to the users site and select follow if you can get to the + Follow option that is sometimes hidden under the Tumbletail bar at the top.

Best tumblr app ever. Best app for viewing tumblr photos ever. Wish it was updated more to make user experience better. But I still love it cuz it does exactly what I want. Can u please make the dashboard viewing fullscreen without the toolbars. Like make them auto hide until I tap the lower part of the screen

I love this app a lot. However, I'm really sad that you haven't search NSFW content anymore. I run two blogs and one of them is a NSFW blog I used to have this for that blog and the normal Tumblr app for the other, but now this app cuts off being able to find and search for more blogs and content that are 18+. A feature I used religiously. Having an option to turn it off would have been better than to just remove it completely. I'd like to have the NSFW search back with a toggle to opt out.

Great reader... Just keeps getting better.. Love the reader. Really like the new navigation improvements and discoverability of similar blogs, with the addition of "reblog" and "original poster" attribution. My only complaint is the "following" status is no longer functioning (it worked before the update). It reports that a blog is not followed, when it really is. Still giving it a 5 star, as Tumbletail is the BEST Tumblr reader available. Update: still not resolved as of 3.2.6

Great, but needs a couple of tweaks.... Love this Tumblr client (especially since there's not a native Tumblr client that's optimized for the iPad...REALLY??) but it needs two mods to make it excellent. 1) Need to be able to comment on reblogged items and 2) when going back from fullscreen view to thumbnails, the client should go to the thumbnail you were viewing fullscreen, rather than the one you were looking at when you opened full screen view. Other than those two minor items, this is a really well designed app.

My go-to tumblr app. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the layout but I find it great for going through my dash and being able to select what exactly I want to view.

Helps manage my tumblr accounts in one go! But... I’ve had this app form many years, it really helps keep my blogs a in order, but I recently got myself an IPad Pro and I noticed that this app is not compatible to a landscape view, and I’m hoping that it will be up for discussion for this app, it helps a lot on other tumblr apps browsing through my blogs on landscape mode. Close but not quite there. I love this app but it could be way better. The grid display for pics is awesome but a feature to turn the gifs off on the dashboard would be nice since they make loading so much slower. Add an option to send and recieve your tumblr messages would be nice. This app is better than the official tumblr app but still needs some more work.

Awful update. I don't know what happened with the most recent update, but I can't switch between accounts as easily anymore. I used to be able to do this by touching the word "Dashboard" at the top of the screen. But it's disappeared with this update. This used to be my "go to" app for Tumblr, but until this is fixed I'm going to have to look for something else.

Love this app. Literally this is the best app for tumblr so I can view everything at once! Does anyone else still use it?

COOL, WEIRD, TANGY, CONFUSING. So many tumblr apps, hard to keep up with how to use them and which ones have password lockout. I have several accounts and some of the material is sensitive, and so does my youngest daughter apparently.. Oh well.

A different flavor of Tumblr. What I like about the app (compared to the Tumblr app): - Option to require a PIN to unlock - Can download all images of a post with one tap - Can change the default location to save photos to (phone, Dropbox, etc) - Visibility of post date and time - Can see your own “Following” list without making it visible to all. - Can create a list of favorites What I don’t like: - If a post multiple images, you cannot download just one - Favorites list does not automatically remove deactivated blogs - Could be easier to remove blogs from from favorites (wish there was an option to swipe to delete) Wish list: - Option to sort and filter “Following” list. The default lists blogs in order of follow date. Would like to be able to sort by last post date, alphanumerically, and number of posts. And filter followers, favorites, the frequency of posts (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) - Swipe to delete favorite (from favorites list) - Swipe to unfollow (from following list)

Very Impressive. This is a very well thought out app. I'm not one for buying apps when the free/lite version works perfectly well but I did for this one. Clean interface puts your dashboard front and center. The ability to download to your camera roll is great but the option to interface with Evernote is brilliant. It'll interface with Dropbox as well. I'd give 5 stars if you could set various filters for the dashboard.

Add text to reblogs?. Am I just missing something or is there no way to add text to reblog posts? Whenever I hit the reblog button, it just reblogs the post and doesn't give me the chance to add anything. Other than that, great app - nice and fast, and I love the interface. Love the Dropbox and Evernote integration.

Bug fix needed!. Always loved this app. One of the few where you can save groups of tags and quickly reuse for future posts. However, when creating new tags you can no longer see what you are typing. This makes creating a string of tags without a typo very challenging. Too big of a bug to not be fixed after months. App is great for quick reblogs if not worried about adding your own tags. Also great for easily downloading full size images.

c'mon fix the bugs. This used to be my favorite app for tumblr but with the recent improvements to the official tumblr app I have stopped using this one. I started using it again when I saw that I could see my drafts better then I could in the official app but when I tried to reblog from my drafts the app crashed!! ughhh fix it!

Better than the official app. This app offers more options than the official Tumblr app. View multiple images in the timeline, turn off gif auto play, reblog with original tags and much more.

Just one annoying thing.. the biggest problem I'm facing with it is that when someone uploads "photos" it only shows 1, the first or last. I've been rebloging without knowing that I didn't only reblog the pic I saw, but many more... This made me see every photo on safari before rebloging and that is annoying. Other than that This app is amazing and you actually can add posts to your reblogs just keep holding the reblog button, and the last update had animated gifs,

Great Tumblr reader for power users, but.... Excellent app on iPhone , and even better on iPad for convinient feed browsing. It seems it is optimized towards image viewing, and less for text or video (just a webview = occasional distored text layout + (sometimes) no video playback. Didn't check music posts yet. Some features/optimizations i would like to see - Touch ID - comments - more gestures (like, reblog) - proper Share Sheet (not hidden in a sub-menu) - contact sheets for galleries (2/3 images per row, not a stripe)

Underrated, beats every other Tumblr app out there.... simply because it returns you to the last point you reached on your dashboard (!!!). Even after closing it from the multitasking tray. This is such an important feature, and I don't know of any other Tumblr app that does it. Love the format, as it is easy to quickly scroll through a number of posts without having to read each one. Great app.

Amazing app, absolutely love it. I love this app and I use it everyday. Still functioning well, hardly ever crashes. Does take a long time to start up sometime though. Would recommend this app. Definitely worth it.

Great tumblr application. While not perfect, this app get the closest, in terms of tumblr front-ends. Holding down certain buttons reveals certain convenient short cuts, so be sure to explore.

Looks cool.... But for $1.99 there should be an option that allows me to select in which tumblr page I want to repost photos. There is one but I have to go all the way to settings to change that (every time I want to post one photo in other of my tumblrs) so to repost 3 photos in 3 different tumblrs it would be like this: settings, select tumblr, find photo, repost. Back to setting, select other tumblr, back to find the photo, repost, back to settings, select the other tumblr, back to photos, repost. Annoying!! There are free apps that have a faster way to do that... So for $1.99 I hope the creators add a faster method, since of of tumblr reasons to exist is mainly reposting stuff!! Other than that looks good

Best Tumblr App. There are a few improvements that I think could be made but overall this app is worth the money if you use Tumblr!!

Ugh. I used to really like this app, but I feel it rarely works as well as it used to. It gives me errors for no reason saying the cache is full even when it's emptied and it says the service is unavailable. It's too unreliable now.

Finally!!. The latest update finally puts the app over the top! No more animation overload on my dashboard, no more expanded photosets (let me expand them myself) - now the app is a 5-star app! Update: 1/16 - Unfortunately I've got to modify my rating. The app crashes when trying to view posts.

Great-ish.. Needs to have the blog info more like the regular tunblr app - follower count/ message count. Etc.

Crashes. Why are there still sooooo many crashes when loading photos?

Horrible since update. This thing has been horrible since the update. The scroll is all messed up, it remembers where you were so you have to scroll up for new tumbles. Will be reinstalling the previous version when I get home.

Current version has bugs. After about 50 posts the app will freeze and won't allow you to tap any other posts. Fix this and I'll change my review

*Notes* View?. I love the app, but I really wish that there was a way to view the Notes (Likes/Reblogs) for a post. I refer to them to find like-minded blogs/people. Add this ability and my review will be 5 stars.

Misleading description but good for what it is. THIS APP IS NOT FOR POSTING TO TUMBLR! This should be posted at the top of the description. This is not a true client but rather a tumblr reader. For that purpose it's very good.

Great for photos, but.... ...an option to put reblogs in the queue would be awesome. This could be chosen by the user as the default action when hitting the reblog button (instead of instant reblogging).

I like the app but.... After the second time having deleted the cache and then deleting the app, I am going to try and find a Tumblr aggregator that isn't such a memory hog. It is consistently the top space user on my iPad.

Fix the crashing!. still keeps crashing. im on an iPhone 6s plus and when scrolling for a few seconds it crashes! this used to be a very good app. even recommended it to a few of my friends.

Was good before Slideshow mode broke. This was a great app that I used a lot... until the more recent version where slideshow mode doesn't seem to work anymore. I don't know why tf they took it out, it was the best part of the app. It kind of works okay without it.

Posting options very limited. I was extremely disappointed to buy this app only to find its posting options are so limited for tumblr as to be next to useless for my purposes. Photo, text, quote, link only! No obvious video posting support. No obvious support options. Poor!

Slideshow. I love this app but where is the slideshow function????! Please put this in and I'll change my rating to 5 stars and also allow for 1 sec next photo, allow slideshow for likes post as well, and allow shuffle mode, thanks
