33 hz. Just figured out to get below 100 hz - using the 'Edit' button on lower left, type in any frequency you want. Great App!!

Not. Not much use for it

Simple, Functional, Wonderful. Does what is says. If you narrow the Q, you get a more accurate tone. Yes, pink noise would be nice. If you are looking for "white noise machine" this will stop generating when iPhone screen sleeps.

good, but needs improvement. In order to get real live use out of this app, I'd need to see the names of notes on the slider. For instance, instead of telling me '440,' couldn't we have the option to have it say 'A'? This would greatly help me make this app wonderfully useful. Also, if you ever want to make an ondes martonet instrument app, I would pay as much as $10 for it. Until then, I believe this app is the closest to that instrument, but I am only half satisfied and I will not be recommending this app to anyone until the metamorphosis from frequency #'s to lettered notes occurs.

Works just right.. I wanted a simple sine wave generator so I could informally test my audio gear (and my own hearing). This program does the job just right. Nothing fancy, works great.

Decent app. Useful for tuning vintage synths! Not sure what else I'll use it for, but you never know. I wish that people who complain about apps being free and useless learn the english language and simply delete the app from their phone.

Great app. Does what it says it will - nothing more, nothing less. Obviously a niche product but it worked brilliantly for what I needed it for.

Sweet app!. I remember downloading Sinewave from Installer from this same developer and I loved it to death. My friends even joked with it as a metal detector or to put it in someones ear and scare the hell outta then. Very worth the $1. Thanks!

good but. Any chance an update will shift the frequency below 100hz. If it could be done it becomes a great tool to the av installer to check for room problems at low frequency

Mr.. One of my favorite apps. A few things I'd like: -Graphical display of the wave form. -Phase shift control -Ability to generate and combine multiple wave forms. Great job!

Doesnt work.. This app does not work at all. I think it is just a scam to steal $1 from you. Do not download.

Simple but useful. You have 3 waveforms and noise. Frequency, pan, and volume are the parameters. The slider range for frequency can be changed to virtually anything. I set a one octave range between 300hz and 600hz so I could have higher sensitivity. I later changed the max to 6000hz and the iPhone played it fine. One trick I learned is changing waveforms quickly and repeatedly to get a nice trigger effect. Even though it doesn't have cutoff, you can manipulate it physically by partially and completely covering the speaker on the iPhone.

Doesn't work in sleep mode!!. This app is great except the sound shuts off when the iPhone goes to sleep!!!! The iPhone's screen shuts off after a few minutes which turn off the sound!!!

Perfect!. I love the app's simple interface and many options. I do wish for a triangle wave option, though.

Great App. If you're looking for a frequency generator this is it. And for the other reviewers, what do you expect an ocillator to do! This app does everything it says and you can edit the frequency range too! Good buy!

Great to use with an equalizer. A great app to smooth out the frequency response of your sound system when used with an SPL meter and an equalizer. Also useful to help set your crossover points. A very good tuning tool for a buck. I looked at the sine signal on a scope; very little distortion, but some high frequency noise was detected. This noise probably originated from the probe cable or the ipod itself. This low noise was inaudible to me.

Great App.. This app has been a great resource for me to calibrate some of our equipment. The only thing I would request is that field for the volume be editable as well so thats it is easy to set some known values. Otherwise thanks heaps!

Great utility!. This is better than the $95 signal generator I bought from Jaycar Electronics! Just the thing for checking out loudspeaker resonances and adjusting graphic equalisers for room acoustics.

Pretty good :). Not professional, but very practical. The square wave isn't perfect but the description did say that. I was pleased to see that you can change the minimum and maximum frequency points. An update with pink noise instead of white noise would be much appreciated.

Cool App ideal for sound guys!. Works well and it will makes life easier for checking sound systems and lines on a multicore for live sound guys or studio! It's preset for the first time use as 100Hz - 3Khz but it can be set to 20Hz - 20Khz so don't panic!

Great way to test headphones!. Very simple cheap application which allows you to generate sine square and sawtooth over a large range of frequencies.

Has definite potential for Live Production application.. Since you can reset the highest/lowest frequency in the oscillator, this coud be useful for testing speakers in your venue or shop. Sweeping frequencies doesn't sound super "steppy" like some digital oscillators I've played with. All it needs is Pink Noise, which shouldn't too difficult to add. For .99 cents this is quite cool. Well done.
