Game seems like genuine RNG sometimes. It’s tough to call the game hard. It’s super simple, especially since I’m sure most people have played similar games. And of course as you progress it gets harder etc. And that’s well and good, however, you can try the same puzzle several times and despite your best efforts not even come close to completing it. It’s not hard, it just simply feels like luck of the draw as to what drops for you, and if it gives you something that will actually help instead of back to back to back triples. It very much seems like their way of pushing in game purchases, or watching ads. Which, by the way, give you a special tool that 99% of the time won’t make a noticeable difference until much later. But good luck being able to save it till it’s actually beneficial.

Exciting, fun, cute and addicting!!!. I like puzzle games, they’re easy to start and jump right into. This game has everything you can enjoy in a FREE puzzle game. It doesn’t pester you too much with using money, but i like the game enough to throw a few bucks in to support the game. It’s fun to unlock outfits and the puzzles are the perfect amount of challenge and time! Love it!

Cute but very unbalanced. This is such a cute and fun concept with beloved fandom characters, but unfortunately it is designed exactly like all the other predatory mobile games. You will be bombarded with TONS of pop-ups to "buy this, buy that, buy these too!" or "watch this ad to get a tiny boost that may or may not help you succeed at this ridiculously unbalanced hard level!" There is a subscription service where you pay monthly to, get this, slowly earn VIP tickets to *eventually* be eligible to buy cute costumes for your Felyne character. You can't buy the outfits directly, you have to pay them monthly to have a slight chance to purchase the outfits. To say I'm utterly disgusted is an understatement. Capcom should be ashamed of themselves. While the game is cute and the levels start out fun, they progressively get harder, until eventually the difficulty level is exponentially high, and you have to replay levels at least 5 times to even have a hope and a prayer of defeating it. And be prepared to get bombarded with "watch an ad to get a boost!" and "watch an ad to regain a heart so you can attempt this exponentially hard level just ONE more time!" They really could have had such a great game here, but of course the developing corporation is blinded by greed like all the others.

So well done, so much fun. Palicos are one of my favorite video game character creations of all time. Having an elevated match three experience with this game was my hope. It’s definitely here. Challenging and engaging simultaneously levels offer opportunity to set up various combinations of power pieces. I like that. Play it and find what other nice things there are that I haven’t, “meowntioned.” (Had to do that)

Not hard, just unfair. Game starts to get increasingly unfair after you pass level 30. Your allowed moves per level starts to drop significantly while obstacles go up, making it extremely difficult to beat levels without using boosters or buying extra moves, which will eventually cost real life currency once you have exhausted the few boosts they give you for free. Honestly the game isn't fun when the levels become annoyingly difficult to the point that you can't win without spending money. Not a great game model IMO.

“hard” levels are unbalanced and unfair. as an avid monster hunter fan, this game was fun for the first few hours, but once you reach ~campaign lvl 100, the “hard” levels are completely unbalanced and unfair. it’s basically a game of luck every single time you attempt them- if you’re not able to get the combos to get the power ups, you’re screwed. and the penalties for losing seem way too harsh- like losing all the power ups you’ve gained by completing other levels. yeah, the game is cute and the story is alright, but it gets frustrating really fast when you can’t progress because you’re stuck on one level for days on end. like other commenters have said, the game seems predatory, like they’re making it hard on purpose to get you to buy gems to keep reviving yourself so you can complete the level. can definitely see myself getting bored and eventually deleting this app because of simply not being able to progress because i refuse to spend money on their game.

Amazing, but… [Feedback]. Let me start by saying I love this game. The art is adorable, and the music is great. The gameplay loop is very satisfying and overall very fun. And the felynes? We love them. However, I do think a change needs to be made. As it stands, levels feel extremely unbalanced. I’m aware this game seems to be a little on the more difficult side, but not being able to progress due to inconsistent drops is killer. I’ve played quite a few “hard” levels that I just have to repeatedly attempt (and wait for more hearts), because I wasn’t lucky with pieces on the board. If you aren’t able to make big combos, you’re likely not going to be able to pass a quest, and it’s very frustrating when there’s literally nothing you can do. I’m not saying make the levels so easy a child can do it (please don’t), but I’d really like to see some balance changes because it’s extremely off-putting having to rely on luck in order to progress.

Bright and Enchanting. This game is so bright and colorful! I love the animations of the cats and the ability to customize the avatars. Usually I get confused when there are games with tons of side quests, items, gacha, etc. This game has the right balance of interacting with other players, an enjoyable match three platform, and manageable story and side quests. I’ve been playing for a little over a month and I really appreciate that there are no forced ads and not many obvious cash grabs. I do watch some ads when I choose to to help support the company and I will most likely be getting a VIP package this month; Just because they haven’t been handling me to get one 😄 I also love the splash screen that talks about children making sure they have permission to play. For some reason that’s just adorable to me. There is a lot of love put into this game. I was very impressed when they put in a quest for newcomers. In order to show some skills and strategies for playing the game. Speaking of which being able to move diagonally takes the match three aspect to the next level. The power ups, and the animation for the power ups has a nice little RPG feel to it, which I enjoy. Keep up the good work team Felyne! 🏆

Actually good…. Dang. This game is actually fun and addicting. I’m not a fan of Puzzle games but I’m an absolute fanatic of Monster Hunter. Reminds me of Bejewled or other Match-shaping games. It is that with a MH formula added on top…but with only felynes and monsters! Not a bad game. And of course it’s got your standard micro transactions in it. But I’ve been playing for days now and never felt the need to purchase anything.

Great Game. Honestly, this has been a great, casual experience. Adorable artwork, precious Felynes aplenty and a few fresh new takes on the usual match-3 gameplay (like diagonal swapping and Meowlocation Time) make for an outstanding game. My only complaint is that a lot of levels have really, really low turn counts for how much you need to get done. If you don’t luck into the right cascades, there’s little hope of making the target in time. Adding like 3-5 turns to a lot of these maps would be enough to help without completely making things too easy. But 15-20 turns is not enough for a lot of these maps with ores, wrapped boxes and/or fog.

Cute match 3 game. I was honestly hesitant to try this one, I’m not good at monster hunter nor match 3 games. But when I saw it being played I decided to try it out. I’m so glad I did! It’s cute and you aren’t limited by just moving pieces from side to side and up & down. This is the first match 3 game that lets you move pieces from a diagonal angle. It makes it much easier to find matches. It’s still difficult and there have been times when it’s down to the luck of where matches can fall or be seen, but I have only wondered why I had so few moves compared to what my objectives were. That one was for the event going on right now and not the main story. So if you have gotten frustrated with matching 3 games before give this one a try. It’s cute and fun.

I don’t like usually like puzzle games but I like this!. I’m a huge monster hunter fan and I kinda thought this game would be kinda childish or just super goofy. The game it’s self is actually pretty decent! The diagonal moving is fantastic. I like the customization and the cute dialogue. Overall if you like monster hunter and the palicoes give it a shot! It reminds me a lot of MH4U’s Felyne island, pleeko sands I think it was? It’s been a long time since I’ve played. Anyway give it a shot! You may just enjoy it!

Perfect match-3 game!. Omg, Monster Hunter Puzzles has EVERYTHING I want in a match-3 game! Diagonal matching, customization of avatar and buildings, and when you trigger an item combo near a horn (the rainbow item you usually get for matching 5 in a straight line), it DOESN’T SET IT OFF! So you can keep it for future combos! Plus fighting monsters who make your game a little more difficult (love the unique challenges), and the side quests. And the felynes are soooo cute! I’m so incredibly happy with this match-3 game. Thank you, Capcom!

As good as any of the million match 3 games you can play…. Okay, so I’m not gonna mince words, you’ve probably played this before. Cutesy graphics, clear objects to complete stages, a bunch of silly story elements to try and keep your interest. Been there, done that. That said, if those kind of games attract your attention, this one should be good for you as well. Plus, it’s based on an already well established game series, so if you want a match 3 game with cat characters as the focus, here ya go.

Cute Game, lots of updates. I love the art and gameplay. Just feels like there’s constant updates compared to other games I’ve played on mobile. Every time I go in to play it, it won’t allow me to play since there is always a new update I have to download. It’s become inconvenient for me to use and I’ll only play it every once in while if Im connected to internet and have the time to wait for the download. It’s become something I have to schedule for versus it being a convenient, on the go mobile game that I can play during small breaks.

Copy cat game with poor execution. The game is entirely based on luck, and regardless of how strong of a power up combination you do, each square is only hit once regardless of how many power ups hit it, making most later levels near impossible to beat without getting lucky. Constant requests to watch video ads for the start of each attempt also gets frustrating fast. Last but not least, when you do get some good luck, the game will occasionally crash, making you re-attempt the mission from the beginning.

Fun, kinda laggy.. So I’ve only been playing for 2 days it’s fun! The outfits are cute and the kittys are adorable. I think it’s cool we do fight some of the monsters too! I have been having some phone overheating g issues and some lag and eventually have to stop playing for a bit to get rid of that issue, but it is a new game so I understand. I’m still playing it I’m enjoying it just as much as the actual mh games.

Update broke the game. The most recent update broke the game. Every time I start, the camera zooms into the village and the user interface fades away like it’s getting ready to play a cutscene, but then nothing happens. I can’t pan the camera and there are no points of interaction to move on. Worked fine last night so it’s related to the update that just released 😭

Deleting until they fix level imbalance. CONs - 1.VIP for cool outfits 2.fact that when you do pop two power ups but it counts as one on things (ex a wrapped box) Other match games if I have two separate bombs or other power up it will still hit the “box” twice, this game it only does it once. 3. Pretty much impossible to play later in game as a free player - this is very much a “p2w” as the levels pretty much make you buy power ups. PROs - the diagonal matching and how the horn doesn’t activate when getting hit by other power ups. Monster hunter, yay.

Very fun and cute. This Monster Hunter puzzle game is very cute and fun, I’ve already gotten to around 100 as far as the story quests go. I will say that some things aren’t clear like the quest chest costing more each time you open it, and I very much dislike the chest that has you hoard gems only for you to shell out 2.99 to access. But other then that, if you like puzzle games and Monster Hunter, it’s worth a try.

Typical cash grab. Games good but I guess I’ve been out of the loop on puzzle games. Each new level just adds more and more resistance to force you to buy garbage items to “help” you actually beat the level. This artificial increase in difficulty doesn’t make things harder by reducing the move count whilst increasing the amount of obstacles needed just to match things, it’s just a cash grab. Boo for cap on for pairing up with this type of trash practice. Also a huge turn off for the MH franchise too, which I’ve been a fan of since the first. Sad how downhill and into the ground franchises can go.

Simple but effective charm. Monster Hunter is very reliable with quality and this proves that once again. Capcom has once again made an experience that can be enjoyed in many ways without punishing any play styles. And it’s not forcing micro-transactions down your throat. (I’m looking at you Monster Hunter Now. I won’t forgive you, Niantic.) If you’re looking for a chill puzzle game with a hint of Monster Hunter charm, I recommend this.

Pretty Fun Little Game!. I’ve been a fan of the series since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U. This is a relaxing little spin off, and I quite like how the strategies evolve as you continue your quest for acorns. This keeps me rewarded and interested. The grind in the bingo section to get a limited time prize is a bit discouraging, but its still fun. Only thing better than this would be bringing back Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to iOS with Backbone functionality, or porting the 3DS games over… ;)

Pencil support missing. While I normally write long reviews going over all the pros and cons of a game, I haven’t gotten far enough to do that. The reason is because the Apple Pencil flat out doesn’t work. The weird thing is it works for everything in the game except the actual puzzle. I have a new iPad Pro with the new Apple Pencil, so maybe that’s why, but this is the first time I’ve ever had this problem. Curious on what the puzzle is expecting as far as input…otherwise I like the game. Good graphics and smooth gameplay :)

Fun when it is [EDIT]. It’s a fun marching game but let me just say that some of the levels are absolutely ridiculous and the player doesn’t have enough turns to win unless by luck. It feels extremely predatory. Edit: past level 100 the game just becomes ridiculous and requires luck for essentially every level. Most levels at this point only give you roughly 15 moves to win and basically require the player to use boosts otherwise you won’t have enough board space to match anything good until you’ve got about 5 moves left 3/4 of the board left to clear. Frankly ridiculous and a waste of my life to keep losing over and over. Go play candy crush or bejeweled until they actually balance this dookie. I’ll be happy to change my review when the game gets some updates but for now it is going to be deleted to save some phone storage.

Least annoying puzzle game. I don’t play every match 3 on the market but as a former dev for a mobile apps game, this one is above average. The best feature is diagonal piece swapping. So many times in Candy Crush have I wanted to move a piece diagonally to complete a 5-piece L. I haven’t yet gotten to a squeeze level yet so so far I’ve been having a blast. I love Monster Hunter. This vibe is closer to MH:Stories. I love the characters and their quirks. Would recommend

One of the Best Puzzle games. It Just came out, and surprisingly i got hooked. I wasnt too big of a fan of candy crush but this game has a lot of interaction. Not to add you get to see the Monsters and fight them doing puzzles. Its very fun, and yes it has micro transactions but remember this is the only game id actually buy stuff for because i know its going towards improving the game and most likely also funds for Monster Hunter Wilds. Please Do give it a try! Im sure you will all enjoy it

Cute but overly monetized. Cute game very cute. Always fun to play the Palicos but constant pop ups to buy something be it big or small, after a while, it’s going to add up. Fear of missing out is also a factor. Currently there is a Nargacuga event where you get an outfit to dress up. Which means money needs to be spent. Basically it’s just another absurdly monetized mobile game at the end of the day. Pricing doesn’t matter when there is so much you can get if you want. Fun while it lasted but it made me recall why I stopped playing mobile games.

One huge complaint. I am loving this game. Since it’s drop, I have been playing it daily throughout the day. It’s addicting & a lot of fun. One major issue I’ve been having is whenever I watch an ad to get some additional items, every single time they play the ad for Evony, the game completely crashes. This happens anytime that ad comes on & it is extremely frustrating. I’m perfectly fine with ads, but every single time Evony comes on, I have an 85% chance the app will just close out or crash. More often than not, it makes me waste any additional items I use to help me get ahead on the puzzle. I love this game, but the Evony ad NEEDS to go.

Cute, but painful. I initially got the game because i thought it was funny that they turned monster hunter into candy crush, and i ended up really enjoying the game, even though the levels suddenly got very difficult. However, I am at my wits end fighting bnahabra. Most other encounters have been fine, but i find it a bit of an issue that i cannot play the game due to bnahabra seizing every item i make as i make it. I dont mind that the levels are more on the difficult side but its become a little absurd.

Slaughters my iPhone 13 mini battery. I love the game, though it does chew through my iPhone 13 mini’s battery VERY quickly, and my phone is hot to the touch after playing just a few minutes. I was thinking of transferring to a different phone, but can’t log in with my Capcom ID without getting the warning that I’m not using a desktop browser (??) or correct mobile browser…but I’m using the app’s built-in login screen! I’ll keep this game installed for now but will have to wait till an update allows me to log in with my Capcom ID. Then, I’ll be able to play it on a different device.

Love this game. Really solid puzzle game. Love the style and love the felynes. They are SUPER adorable!! Super fun collecting all the different armors, and really enjoy doing the side quests. 10/10. Only two tiny minor things I would like to see. (If possible) 1) I’d like to be able to dye my armor. There are some designs I like but the colors really clash with my felyne and 2) I’d like to see a full orange felyne. I have two cats a black one, and an orange one. Really happy I can play as my black cat, but would love to have the opportunity to play as the orange one too. Other then that super happy with the game so far!

Classic jewel puzzle game with a MH Spin. The game is very fun, a good classic bejeweled style puzzle game with an animal crossing feel for building your home. Lots of customization with characters too. One thing that is holding me back from 5 stars is the “hint” feature. If you don’t make a move within 3 seconds, the game tells you a move you can make. I am still relatively new, within the first 30 levels, but I would love the ability to turn hints off, I feel like it spoils the fun. Maybe you get the option later?

Predatory Game. The game is fun and cute, but it’s extremely predatory for gamers to open up their wallets. The puzzles get pretty hard quickly because the drop rates are terrible as you progress. They try to nickel and dime you with “offers” throughout the game. When the levels gets tough and you end up failing you can watch ads to get one random booster which might not even help at all so you will end up watching several ads as you continuously fail until the drop rate miraculously gets better. (Seems rigged since this happened several times) I do hope they end up balancing this game since it has really good potential. Otherwise, I’m uninstalling this game until they actually offer something interesting for me to spend my money on than the “offers” they currently have.

Disappointing. I wanna like the game so badly but it’s so difficult that I don’t want to play it. Overall, I like everything else, but the difficulty for each level is inconsistent but even then they’re all difficult. There’s no completely easy one. After level 10, it just goes downhill. Even my boyfriend agrees that you HAVE to get really good abilities in order to win the round but some of the maps don’t even have 10 spaces so that can be very difficult if there’s only 15 moves you can make

Monster hunters 🩵💚🧡. Honestly I thought this was going to be a over rated kids game but after playing for like a week it’s so freaking cute 🥹🩵🩵🩵💚🧡 I love it the puzzles are really fun and easy plus there’s like no ads so far so yeah I highly recommend this game it’s better then Tetris even so if you’re kid wants this game please let them enjoy it let them have fun I’m am a adult and I just love it so get MH trust me it’s pawsome and don’t listen to the haters please ok end of review.

Fun game but micro transactions ruin. The game is pretty good, I love the monster hunter series and I enjoy a good puzzle game so I came in with high hopes. And at first the game met them, until you get further in, then the game gets a bit unfair with how they design the levels and amount of turns you get. But honestly my biggest gripe and why I’ve uninstalled is as you play the game just keeps shoving more and more ways to spend money on it. Hey you earn gems every level, we are going to add more gems to a chest and when it gets full you can buy those gems for cheaper than they usually are, same goes for rare materials! Lose a round? Get a pop up to watch an ad to get a booster that clears one spot. I’d enjoy the game if it were more than a gaint ad to spend money.

Fun for a few hours. It's cute. I love Monster Hunter, but their offshoot games have been really predatory. From Monster Hunter Now having impossible fights without the ability to grind, to this Puzzle game having incredibly unbalanced levels (around the 110 campaign stage mark). You have to hit several of these blocks 4-5 times to remove them, like the ore, the frozen blocks, and then the fog that doesn't lift. On top of that, to continue is 900 crystals. Otherwise you lose all your bonuses. Using all 3 boosts, it's still possible to lose these later stages. This isn't Monster Hunter. There's no way to grind somewhere and get better gear. It's just random puzzles with ridiculous win conditions. I refuse to spend money on this.

Fun little game for Monster Hunter fans. This game is pretty much what you’d expect it to be, which is a good thing in my opinion. Simple yet satisfying puzzle gameplay and a cute town building sim. Compared to other mobile games I’ve played that are similar, this one seems very polished. It doesn’t feel like a random match 3 game with a Monster Hunter skin slapped on. Overall, super fun to play and I love customizing my Felyne!

Too many pop ups. I’m a huge monster player with several thousand hours between multiple games. I did enjoy puzzles for about a week until I got annoyed enough by the amount of pop ups they choose to throw at you. There’s multiple when you first log in, a few before the puzzles and a few in between puzzles. The amount they try to push you towards spending in game currency and purchasing in game items is absurd. It was a fun candy crush knock off, the click bait trying to get you to accidentally buy things makes it not so fun in the end.

Fun and addicting. The game feels really polished with a fun gameplay loop. I’m huge monster hunter fan so it’s fun to see aspects of that world in the game. My only complaint is that for some levels you’re straight out of luck if you don’t have a good starting board or use boosters. I’m sure it’s designed that way so that you do use boosters, but it is a little annoying. Thankfully the game does provide different ways to get these boosters for free. If you’re fan of the series or match 3 games, check this one out.

Cat lovers dream game!. So it just literally was released this very hour! And of course I’m playing! It’s so adorable and the graphics are almost 3d looking! The sounds are relaxing and pleasing and the gameplay is very fluid! It’s so cool and I love the cute cats! Plus the dragon omg! I just really like it so far and I love how you can move the pieces diagonally. For anyone who loves puzzle\match games and cats you can’t go wrong!

Sooo Cute!!. There used to be a match three game called Sailor Moon Drops and when it shut down in 2019, I was SO sad, but now my other love MonHun has a match three game that is even better than Sailor Moon Drops!! I started playing MonHun with World and then Rise, and now I can take my Palico in my pocket wherever I go. The Felynes (aka Palicoes) are so adorable and I am so glad we get even more of their silly puns and cute costumes!!! Download this game and prepare for your life to be taken over by MonHun!!!

Option to turn off hints. I like the game it’s really cute and kept kept me entertained, but if they could make an option to turn off the hints, I like to try to beat the level on my own, but if I look away from the screen for a second to get a sip of water or do something else the pieces start telling me which ones to move, I tried to look to see if there was an option to turn it off. I didn’t see one. I just find it very annoying.

I'm not mad, son. Just disappointed. I guess I expected better from one of my most favorite game franchises, but this game absolutely sets up obvious wall puzzles that are designed to make you buy powerups and gems just to beat it and continue. What's worse is that you have a limited number of lives that you then have to wait to recharge just to play. I hate games that bar me from playing the game I downloaded for fun in hopes that I'll pay to buy more tries. It's cute and it has some good puzzle concepts but unfortunately it's dragged down by being just like all the other free to play puzzle games out there.

Boosters don’t work properly!. Love the game but the boosters during play don’t work as they should or maybe it’s intentional. For example when combining a horn with a boomerang they either go to some random spot or it hits one spot multiple time. It’s a waste! In my opinion… the point in this combination is to help clear desired objects and not just go anywhere where they do nothing to help. The same goes with combining a horn with a missile. You will have three missiles hit one object and instead of damaging it three times you only get one hit. Now that’s not fair! Also when you have multiple barrels exploding near each other, they should inflict multiple damages and not just one time to any object. Can this be fixed? Otherwise awesome game. Love Monster Hunter and puzzles so this is a win win for me. Fun and exciting to play. Keep up the good work!

Challenging for both MH & Puzzle fans. Being both a Monster Hunter fan and a puzzle fan made this app a no-brainer for me, but I have been pleasantly surprised to find it offered a few things I wasn’t expecting. For example, you can move pieces diagonally, which is something I’ve never seen in any of my other Match 3 games. There’s side quests, and multiple costumes for you to make for your Felyne character. The puzzles can be very tough, but you can either purchase or watch ads for boosters. I got the game on preorder, and have enjoyed it thoroughly since it started. Nice job, Capcom!

Very buggy & crashes a lot ...esp on older devices. I'd enjoy it more if every update they try put out didn't increase the amount the game crashes.... I've lost so many boosters & subquest tickets & bonues cuz the game just crashes out after 5-15 mins of trying to poke the game. I see they seem to be aware there is a load screen bug but after so many weeks, they haven't fixed it...... and cuz the app crashes out, it automatically flags the level attempt as "fail" even tho the puzzle never loaded up for me to play. And some of the levels are very RNG and impossible to do unless the game feels generous and lets you form sufficient boosters to get thru the level. But the app crashing is horrendous.... it's impossible to play or fully enjoy an otherwise cute game. I wanted to love this but the amount the app crashes & does not even load properly has me walking away from this one.

Feedback. It’s extremely frustrating to get stuck on the same quest over and over again. Please balance the levels more, it’s making me not really want to keep playing. Edit: my app got messed up and I had to delete and redownload and lost ALL MY PROGRESS!!!! Zero help from support because no one will answer me and I’m pretty upset I have to start all over again. I had an established profile with lots of items and I have to start from square one due to YOUR APP MESSING UP!!! This is ridiculous. Everything I grinded for is gone, all my friends, all my log in bonuses - GONE.

Royal Match Hunter. So as a big monster hunter fan and casual puzzle gamer this entry seemed extremely promising. upon playing the game and seeing what it offered I was disappointed just how much of a missed opportunity this was. This game is literally just Royal Match with a Monster Hunter skin, there is absolutely nothing different about the core gameplay here. The games trailer and screenshots have you think “oh okay it’s monster hunter with puzzle gameplay” nope. Fighting monsters is no different from playing any other mission you’ve been playing for the last hour other than extra hazards. There’s no point in getting equipment it’s just cosmetic there’s no point in gathering materials outside of just changing furniture or objects. If you’re an avid monster hunter fan whose never played Royal Match there may be some fun to be had here but otherwise this is at best just that one game you play for a few days then forget its on your phone only to delete it later on because you need more space for a better game.

10/10 game. I love this game sooo much I love helping my little kitty friends I have almost completed the first little island am so excited to keep going heheh I play for hours in a row def recommend if you like games like candy crush it gives same vibes but like 100x better

Music bug. There's a bug where multiple musics play on top of each other, I love the game but please fix this bug, part of what makes the game enjoyable is the sound effects and I can't play with sound on, sometimes two or three songs play on top of each other in a short loop!

A really fun puzzle game…that wants $$$. Okay so I’ve made it pretty far in a day and I still love how it’s part puzzle game part decorating sim part monster fighting game. However, I can’t help but notice how much fewer purple gems you earn, and how maps are designed to require items once you’re out of the tutorial (saving Salt and Plucky’s places). They really force your hand to either buy items, gems, any add on you can with real money or just wait until “luck” is on your side to beat a difficult level…I was adoring this game but I can feel this company testing how long I’ll go without spending a dime. It’s still fun to play as it is unique of a puzzle game experience for me. I just think the level design is quite harsh in comparison to the amount of moves you can do, which makes for a disappointing experience.

So Tasty!. I love Monster Hunter, and I’m proud to say that this entry has given me everything I wanted from a Felyne focused pastime! Good start but spirals to unfair real quick. Gameplay is entirely luck based with all “skills” being randomly activated with overpriced boosters and items. Cute but all the events are unfair based on personal progression(more you’ve played the harder the stages), and favours paid players since they can brute force the stages. Monsters range from super easy to flash banging you every few turns, zero balance to their abilities and visual effects. Don’t spend money on this, there’s no return on investment or respect for your time.

Not good enough because…. When I got the game a year ago, it was for kids and it wasn’t my cup of tea, so I was hoping for a more mature game called ‘Monster Hunter Survivor’ which would be cool without the ads and it would have some good shops to upgrade your gear (weapons and armour). I think a new game feature should be a workbench for your arsenal upgrades and modifications, while the shops can do the rest. Write to me back during March 😊.

Great monster hunter spin off. I’m having a blast of this game. I’m at campaign quest 130 and have been playing for a month and I have not spent any money, plus I have 50 dollars worth of the currency(which is spent on extra turns). Thoughts about Monster Hunter Puzzle. First off, congrats to the devs at actually trying to make a game, unlike many many other titles in the app store. Ads are not forced, and this game is safe to play on data, which is a good base-line to have. As of the current patch, content is somewhat lacking. I was able to complete the main quest-line in 2 weeks. I personally give this game two thumbs up. The remainder of this review will be me rambling about mechanics and monetization. Difficulty balance for these games is somewhat annoying. As if you balance it too easy, the game would be unfun. Too hard, and there will be many many complaints that the game is too pay to win. I personally think that the difficulty balance for this game is on the easy end, with good decision making allowing a 50%+ puzzle win rate, which is very high for these types of games. This game also heavily relies on space scaling for many of its puzzles, and as a result, many puzzles have a low move count and it is more vital to get lucky at the beginning as opposed to some other designs. This design of starting slow and ramping up lies in stark contrast to another design for match 3 games, where they start you fast by having fewer colours at the start, then slow you down by adding more colours as the game progresses. For Bejewelled they scale up to 7 colours at 10 moves left to intentionally slow you down. Every single puzzle has 3-4 colours, with another added after clearing to prevent infinite combos. This means that special pieces are formed easily, and abundantly. As a result, setups are a lot weaker, and using special pieces immediately is more worth it. I like these design choices, it mostly removes the unfun aspect where you could have one tile and 10 turns left and still lose. The boomerang is an excellent response to that design flaw. The powers also have specific purposes that are situational, and many times, breaking a setup for a ‘weaker’ power is a better play. I think puzzle-wise, this is more interesting than some other games. I think it would be more cool if Meowllocation Time was swap limited instead of time limited. Could the designs be less irritating please? I know that you are suggesting a move. At the very least only show it once, or after pressing a hint/help button. Yes, I know the direction that gravity is flowing. Let me think game. I am a bit torn on the monetization of this game. I am not sure how to feel about the powerups. On one hand, all of the powers feel more balanced. And there is no “you win without thinking” power. It feels less like you are cheating when you do use them. But with the aforementioned design decisions, using powers are less fun, since it is easy to scale, and oftentimes, powers at the start are uninteresting. I’m not sure what to make of this. I think the pricing on a lot of items are inconsistent, and there are not a lot of uses for purple gems. Normally, I would say something such as “include a monetization option to boost max hearts” But I don’t think it would be a good idea based upon the rest of the design choices. I just feel that there really aren’t that many persistent items in this game that you could get for say - 10 dollars or less. With all that being said - the game gives you a lot to do and seldom you are just waiting for heart refills. Since you get bonus hearts often, and you get additional daily subquests to do. I think the inclusion of extra things to do is very nice. Just some thoughts from a person that likes this genre. Although I might be less casual about this whole thing. Keep up the good work!

Better than expected.. Ever wanted to play candy crush without feeling ashamed of yourself or being made fun of by anyone under the age of 30? This is the solution. The slightly shallow gameplay and repetitiveness stops me from giving it a 5/5 but if your a fan of Monster Hunter it is an adorable distraction.

Difficulty level is crazy but very cute. Equipment has no stats and some levels are very hard. The game makes you put it down when you run out of lives until they replenish, which isn’t like main line monster hunter. It’s a cute game overall and something to occupy yourself. Monster flavored candy crush. Great game so far. love the ability to change palico armor to familiar and returning armors from the original franchise. My only complaint is the overbearing move recommendations. Just like candy crush when if you wait too long a move will highlight, this game IMMEDIATELY highlights a move rather obnoxiously. Often these moves are bad too haha. Still a good game IMO.

Candy Crush by way of Monster Hunter. The title says it all. I could write reams worth about how exploitative it all is, but the fact of the matter is most people don’t mind being taken advantage of, and as long as you can just turn the game off and avoid the temptation of paying for the cheat items, it’s still a fun little dopamine doling matching puzzler.

Flawed losing system. Only thing I hate is when it says you lose and have to spend 900 or more gems to get back playing and when you do you see you had moves that could have been played still so I think they make you lose so you have to buy gems to keep playing. Tell me otherwise or great game creators.

Good game. For as far as I have played this game it’s quite fun, a good candy crush clone. It’s to be expected to have a lot of monetization like most mobile games and some levels can be insanely hard without boosts as well as depending a lot on RNG. Other than that it’s pretty good game.

Cash Grab with Monster Hunter name!!!. This is the biggest cash grab I’ve ever seen affiliated with Monster Hunter. It starts off great like any other mobile game, but soon after you build the chef hut, it becomes very tedious. The levels are very unbalanced, I’ve lost several times in a row on the same puzzle, only to use my gems and loose all my hearts again. After I’ve beaten several levels beforehand. Absolutely unbalanced!!! Was fun for 2-3 days but not worth my time anymore.

Just another matching gems money grab. Not worth it.. Many of of the levels in this game are a hard cap of RNG based on pieces that generate, some leveled are so easy you can do them without looking at your phone almost, and some are so difficult they’re next to impossible without spending money, I don’t play mobile games to be frustrated, balance this garbage more and I’ll change my review. As a long time monster hunter fan this is a slap in the face. Do better.

SO cute and fun!. This game is pretty addicting. You can rebuild islands and decorate them to your own taste, collect adorable outfits, fight monsters, etc, etc. I’ve been in love with this game! The only thing I’d love to see is more events, otherwise, this game is super fun and super cute!

This game makes me feel like I'm a loser. The difficulty of the game troubles me. I open the game, spend 5 mins on losing 5 match. After that, there is nothing I can do in this game. I'm now at the mian stage 132, and I've spent over 20 lifes on this stage. I download this game for cute Felynes, but after 3 days playing this game, it keeps telling me to pay more to continue or close the game. Is that a new Pay 2 Win strategy? It not about the Felynes but the game itself makes me feel sick.

Freemium Game. Hello! While I would love to give the game more stars, as it really is a beautiful game. In its current state, you need to not only pay for the passes to unlock more but more than likely also pay for boosts just to earn the highest prize on the pass. Many levels are incredibly hard and rely on RNG and luck with drops making the game too difficult. All the prizes in a pass should be obtainable realistically without paying for more.

My personal opinion. As a long time fan of the Monster Hunter game series and a big fan of puzzle games for mobile this game definitely is one of my favorites and honestly I love what they did for this game.

Great, but…. I enjoy this game a lot— the aesthetics and gameplay mechanics are very satisfying, and I love being able to dress up my kitty and play to get resources for new outfits. My biggest (and only complaint) is like what everybody else has been saying. It’s very difficult, especially in the late stage (about 100 levels in). I’ve had to replay certain levels over 10 times just to pass it, and the sudden jump in difficulty is not enjoyable but also feels very unplayable. This game feels like a luck-based game, and I often find myself hoping for a miracle every time I start a level. This game is fun, but it’s hard to enjoy it when it’s not challenging in a tricky way— it’s just unfair.

Addicted!. I love enjoy puzzle/matching games and MH, so I really enjoy this game. The policies and customization are adorable and fun. My only gripe is the grind for specific materials. Out of moves and a waste of adorable design. The levels always extremely difficult and run of move if you don’t want to pay for the item and have the patience to continue. VIP is giving too little or no bonuses benefit help for levels and daily. you still need play for a lot different things to . Great game but…. I really enjoy playing monster hunter in the form of a puzzle game. My only problem as of now is that the present icon on the screen doesn’t when I tap it.

Very fun only in the beginning. It’s a great game with a lot of variety but once you get far enough the game gets too hard to progress without adding items to the board and the resources are extremely limited against how much the difficulty scales. Maybe I’m bad at the game but I just lost 6 times in a row on stage 79 and have to wait 19 minutes for a heart or spend real money to keep playing.

Overturned difficulty. The game is visually well designed, but the difficulty of the game is too high. Specifically, the puzzles at higher levels begin to take multiple attempts to the point where the game burns your attempts and offers additional attempts via in game ads or in game currency that you can purchase with real money. The game is fun enough when you start, but becomes more about pushing you to spend money instead of solving a fun puzzle. Not worth downloading.

Not very player friendly. I love match 3 games and this being a monster hunter game featuring our favorite buddies had me excited to play and bring my friends but one quit at level 30 and another just stopped. I pushed hard to get as far as I could and I’m at level 86 and I’m just done. Weak power ups, so few moves to complete even normal stages and the carrot on a stick method of giving that one needed power up AFTER you run out of moves…nope I’m out.

Won’t connect. I’ve tried multiple times over the last few days to start playing this game but every time I open it it says it failed to connect and then forces me to try again and again and again. I’ve tried it on cellular data, WiFi, with my VPN on and with my VPN off. I would love to play this since the MH franchise is one of my top 3 favorites but unfortunately it looks like I can’t.

Fun puzzle game - lots of ads and glitches. Typical match puzzle game with monster hunter twist. Main objective is to help renovate the island after a monster attack and get materials to customize your palico and island. Very glitchy during game play as game freezes a lot. Watching ads helps gain boosters for levels.

Best match 3 there is. You can move diagonally, you can use power ups from the space they’re occupying, and making a square is considered a combo. Those things put it above other match3 games I’ve played. Including the unique MH mechanics and adorable palicos? Seriously my new fav game. Thank you capcom!!
