Great app, but has some problems.. Overall, when compared to most other manga apps out there this one is amazing in a lot of ways, but the one main issue I have with this app is that some series just won’t load. On certain mangas whenever I tap on it, it doesn’t load at all. My screen just sits there spinning even after waiting close to 10 minutes. I’m not sure if anyone else is coming across the same problem but that definitely needs fixed. If that bug gets fixed, and maybe less adds, this app would be one of the best in my opinion.

I have mixed feelings. The app itself is not bad. There is ads but allows you to make a one time purchase to get rid of them completely. As I just got the app today I don’t know much but here anyway. The best app I found was discontinued not long ago “mangabird” This app it the closest I can find on ios. It has a favorites feature and many manga to choose from. So far I have been having trouble with the app crashing sometimes, but it could be my device. The thing I liked the most besides being able to download manga in “manga bird” which I haven’t seen from this app yet it when in vertical mode when you get to the bottom it changes pages immediately, with this app you have to do that manually. But for the most part a good choice. I rate 6-10 not bad.

I adore this app !! But,,. So for the most part this is genuinely the best manga app I’ve used in a long long time. I instantly payed the ten dollars and haven’t had any ads and it’s been a great experience. It has one of the biggest selections of content I’ve seen on any of the manga apps currently on the App Store. BUT. There are definitely some problems ( understandably so, but still things to be addressed ) the number one problem for me personally is that, for some reason, some series just won’t open, or will stop working on you altogether. So, for example, I was rereading Gakuen Alice, turned off my phone for a few hours, came back, and suddenly the manga just won’t show up. I clicked on every chapter, and each chapter says there is only one picture. I even deleted and redownloaded the app ( which actually deleted all my progress on all my manga btw so do keep that in mind ) and the manga still wouldn’t load. This is more frustrating than anything, but it hasn’t completely ruined the app for me. I guess I’ll just have to treat the app with a little more mindfulness and care. Its also not the prettiest, but it has a pretty decent search function and even has a tag feature, which as someone who lives and thrives on ao3, I really appreciate. Overall I like this app, though it could use some work :]

Lots of issues. There are some annoying bugs and design flaws but worse than anything else, chapter 76 of the manga I’m reading is literally the wrong manga. How do you even do that?!?! I really hate when it jumps from one source to another from chapter to chapter and names of people, places, things, and concepts change. The quality of some of the translations make them incomprehensible. I can get over the occasional a instead of an, or incorrect use of there their they’re, but sometimes the meaning of what’s being said is totally lost. I wish there was a comment system or a method of reporting problems. I’m not even sure if the people running it can go back and fix problems whether they are small or large. Some issues are things that are so glaring that they must know about them, so they either can’t fix it or choose not to.

Extremely bare bones and underwhelming. So let me get this straight, this app is marketed as “Manga Rock Pro” but has like 1% of the features of the old Manga Rock app. Normally I’m not too picky about appearances but the font on the app is extremely distasteful. And if we’re talking about basics, how about adding a filter to the search feature so that the search feature does more than just help you find a very specific manga? This app was so low quality, I thought it was a work-in-progress, only to see that it hasn’t been updated in 7 months. Honestly my review would be bumped up two stars if they didn’t market this as a replacement for a fantastic app, that they failed to even replicate by 10%. The only slight similarity they share is the very generic layout of the app, and even that is pushing it.

Good app, would like more customization. Wide selection of manga,adaptable reading styles, good picture resolution, etc. are all pros to this app. Stuff I'd like to see in the future: Being able to filter favorites by fully read manga, not fully read manga, filter through multiple genres (adventure mystery for example), and other such additions would be nice. Source switching Downloads Better search functionality (search with multiple genres, different sorting, etc.) Pretty good app overall but still a lot of room to grow

Best manga app so far!!!. This app is incredible for manga readers. This app is super easy to use and it has a wide variety of things to read. I’m in love with this app. And the best of this is that it’s free!! But one down side that I found in this app is that sometimes the manga that I have added to my favorite list the chapters that I have already seen of the mangas don’t appear in green. It like resets making me loose track of where I was at. But besides that everything is amazing!

To add on to my other review…. After the recent update, the homepage started to load forever, and so far, hasn’t finished loading. The search, favorites, and options pages work fine, but since I want to explore different genres and what ever sticks out to my eyes, I am not able to access the homepage. I hope you fix it. Other than that, this app has a wonderful variety of mangas and update new chapters fairly quickly. Not many apps in the Apple store do that. I’ve enjoyed this app for a while now. I just wish it had the option of downloading manga to read offline as well, but that’s no biggie. Please do fix the bug tho.

Pretty Good. All things considered this manga app is pretty good! The library is pretty large and the search system/filter is fantastic. One thing I’m nitpicky about is how it saves the reading spot for every single chapter you’ve read. I like to reread manga a lot and there isn’t a really smooth way of going back to the beginning of a chapter without manually scrolling there. And if I want to reread multiple chapters? I just give up. I’d like it if you could save the reading spot of the chapter I’m currently reading and restarting the ones I’m not back to page 1. Thank you 🩷

Awesome. Large selection and well set up app! I love it Update: Still love it years later (paid for ads free too) BUT there are some bugs I docked a star for. My main problem is sometimes a couple pages won’t load and I have to exit and close the chapter and come back in and sometimes that works but not always. I wish there was a refresh page option, it would improve it overall.

A few things to improve but overall good. The interface and separation of genres and categories are good. Liked it enough to go for the ad-free version. However I do have one issue and that is the next chapters don’t load. I tap for the next chapter, see a black screen, go back to the manga’s page, then select continue reading to keep going. Every time i read. It happens to 2 of my devices (an iPhone and an iPad) so i’m hoping the dev picks up on this issue.

Needs Fixes. I hope this app stays for awhile, it has a huge library and isn’t bad at pulling into for summaries, chapter names, and generally get minorly watermarked scans. It doesn’t how without issues though. It crashes when you don’t have app directly open all the time, it’s hard for it to refresh a failed page (such as from bad connection) without completely leaving the chapter or refreshing the app, and if you travel outside of the us, only favorited chapter will load for some reason. A vpn fixes the last one, but it shouldn’t be necessary especially since it still loads the chapter regardless. I paid for the ads free and it feels like it paid itself off. I hope this app thrives and improves in the future. Maybe one day I’ll correct my rating to 5 stars.

It works, but needs fixing…. First thing i noticed was the favorites tab. Even if you read the chapter updated to the manga/manhwa that you read, it still shows the red tab that indicates not reading it yet. You also cannot select the manga/manhwa by the group you want to select, and is forced to be an all or nothing situation. Second is that while reading, there are numerous times where when you press the button for the next chapter, the chapter you want to read is all black, didn’t load, or is unavailable with a x in the middle. Third is that some of the manga/manhwa/webtoon are stuck in the loading screen. No content available for those who want to read that specific title. Please fix these.

You have to remove ads to really enjoy. It’s not a bad app for manga, but I will say that having ads every chapter was super annoying, I’d have 2 ads before I could continue. Also, if you reading it in the regular mode the next chapter won’t load unless you close out and go back in to click the next chapter. I’ve found this doesn’t happen if you choose the vertical setting though. I think if that bug is fixed it’d be an easy 4-star but seeing that that’s been an issue for a while after looking at the comments I don’t think that’s something they’re looking into fixing anytime soon.

Really Nice. I used to have Mangareader with the pink M. Since it came off iOS and I updated my phone it was unable to reboot. That app will always be in my heart love it. But if you’re picky like me and want to be able to favorite, search by author or key word, or see other works by one author this app gives you access. And the ads are not overwhelming and you can purchase to get them removed. I’m not going to say it’s amazing tho because I am biased and attached to my Mangareader app but this is very nice and satisfactory.

Good. I’d say pretty good other than the incessant review request every time I come back to the app, including if it’s already open and I’m just switching back to it from another app. Other than that, it has many (not all) of the manga, manwa, etc that I search for, and generally more episodes that are currently submitted as translated to English than most other apps. So for that alone I give it a four star, plus the app’s *relatively* easy to use platform. The minus one star is for the annoying review prompts every time I leave the app for 0.5 seconds. But other than that, the ads are not too bad as far as I can remember, though I did buy the ad removal thing, which I think was pretty cheap all things considered. But I am only reviewing this because I’m hoping that it will leave me alone for 3.5 seconds. Do what you will with this info, whether you be user or developer or whatever

App crashes after new update 1.0.5. The app was going good for me for awhile before Version 1.0.5 , right now every time I try to open the app it keeps crashing. I don’t want to delete the app because there has are mangas that I am reading but I can’t remember what chapter of the manga I am so I refrained from deleting it. The app would crash sometimes and then my phone would then crash as well. I hope this issue gets fixed very soon because I really like using the app. I hope the developers see this

The ad situation is pretty bad. So between every chapter a video ad played as opposed to just regular page ads I’ve seen with most manga type apps. Some ads won’t even let you close out unless you interact with them. I’ve had times where I’ve gone through a whole ad, accidentally clicked exited the chapter instead of changed the page(this isn’t easy to do, I was just absent minded) and when I went back into the chapter I had to watch ANOTHER ad even though I literally just watched one seconds before. The other issue is that going to another chapter can be finicky. Which is particularly frustrating with the video ad thing because a chapter won’t load, I’ll watch an ad to load into a black screen and changing pages doesn’t work, and it won’t work until I fully close out the app and go back, to yet ANOTHER ad that I need to watch to even see if it works. So while I like that they have working tags and you can browse by genre, personally I can see these rather long video ads hurting enjoyment. Alternatives could be just page ads mixed into chapters.

Great App But Missing Two Key Features. Like the title says, MangaApp is all around pretty dope with a wide compendium of titles both niche and mainstream, the UI isn’t the prettiest but it’s practical and easy to navigate. My two biggest issues stem mainly from being a tablet user who lives in a spot with bad internet. My personal favorite way to read manga digitally is using a tablet in landscape view with both pages on screen, especially since I usually have a keyboard attached most of the time. However the app can only be used in portrait mode with no option to even view single pages in landscape. Secondly there’s no way to download chapters to read offline, as I said I don’t have good internet and it’d be nice to download some titles at work so I can read them at home without waiting for pages to load. In the end though MangaBat is still probably the best manga reader on IOS and as it’s just on version 1.0.3 I’m hoping the option to download titles and view 2 pages at once in landscape for those of us with bigger screen will be in upcoming updates.

Pretty great overall actually. Despite my initial bad expectations the only annoying things here are the constant ads (which you can remove with a one time purchase) and the fact that for some of the mangas they don’t load or get updated (or if they do, it’s delayed). But honestly, compared to all the other manga apps available on iOS since most of the good ones got removed (all of which I checked out and tried) this is one of the best bc it has a lot of manga and webcomics and a good search engine (so if you search with the Japanese or English name it shows the same items in case you get confused, etc.) So I say it’s pretty good, I’ll be using it for the foreseeable future!

Probably last decent app. Recently parted ways with my old phone but my old mangabird did not wanted to move on to the new phone. This is by far the best app available with similar functionality to mangarock and mangabird. Sadly my collection tab just stays spinning for no reason besides that I was able to re favorite my ongoing manga and this was the only app that had them all. Hope developer works on fixing a few of the issues, willing to pay for premium to remove ads whatever it takes just needs better development

Overall a good app just could use a few improvements.. I’ve been using this app for a while now and I think it’s a good one. Just a few minor issue. Issue one is that many of the series aren’t labeled with all of the applicable tags. I haven’t found any with incorrect tags. What this means however, is that if you do a genre search you aren’t getting all the series that actually fit in that genre. For example. I have come a crossed several series that mention that it is an Isekai story in the summary but it doesn’t list Isekai as a genre tag. One feature I wish they would add is a genre exclusion feature. There are a couple of genres I’m just not interested in but I have no way to keep them out of my feed. It would make this app a lot more user friendly.

Manga history reset after some time. I love your app! I read nearly everything here. But would it be possible to do an update that fixes the manga from resetting where you left off reading it? I read a lot of manga on here but after reading some new ones the olds one I read will lose there place. Pleaseee do and update to fix this. I love the work you do and I appreciate it! Thank you!

Good, but terribly annoying if you don’t pay for no ads. This manga app has a whole lot, and not just the manhwa or Manwuas that usually dominate every front page. I got a new phone recently so I was unable to keep using Manga Bird (RIP) but this app was a pleasant substitute. It had all the old manga that I was reading. The only downside is that the app is like one of this clickbait phone games. Ads every time you change chapters. If you don’t mind that then this app is definitely for you. Personally I don’t like having to wait when I’m binge reading so I bought it ($10) which is a little expensive.

It’s Good, but….. This app has tons of different mangas and genres, but sometimes when I’m in the middle of reading it’ll kick me out of the app. I’m usually okay with this but it gets kind of annoying after a while when you have to watch another ad for a chapter you’ve already watched an ad for bc it kicked you out. Also I’ll be reading and the pages won’t load and no matter what I do they won’t come up. I’ve restarted my iPad, went out of app when back in, tried switch different viewing modes, but I still see the X in the same spot.

Great app, big bug. This app has a great selection of manga and manhwa so much so that I decided to buy the no adds that cost 9.99. but soon after buying the no adds my front page started infinitely loading, I’ve tried deleting the app and re downloading it but it did not get fixed! So effectively, I can’t see what I’ve recently read as well as not being able to see new chapters on manga that I have not favorited. This app worked so well but now I can barely use it very sad

Love the app, but it keeps crashing when I read into 12 chapters.. Wonderful app, I use it daily. As of late on my iPhone, it crashes when I read a new comic on the app. Then when I restart the app, it crashes again on the same comic over and over, even on different comics. Not sure if I need to update my iOS, but it’s been happening the last 4 weeks. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, I would love to know. It might be a mini glitch, but it is getting quite frustrating these last few weeks. Other than that, love the app, and it’s really well developed.

Simple and reliable. I’ve been using this app for over about a year and it’s got a huge selection of manga to choose from. There is an occasional title you won’t find but it’s usually older unpopular titles. You get everything in this app for free but if you hate ads you should definitely go the no ads route it’s a better experience. Only complaints are the app sometimes has a poor connection to Wi-Fi or won’t work but it’s really rare. 4 out of 5 stars for me

Decent selection needs a few tweaks. For the most part the selection of stuff you can find is pretty good, but the ads every chapter is definitely something to take note of especially when you have to pay $10 to remove ads. I find while reading that after about 3-4 chapters the pages go blank, just tap and switch reading methods and that fixes it but it’s kinda annoying, it would be nice if they made it so you could just scroll or swipe to the next chapter when you reach the end of one instead of having to bring up the interface and click the tiny green button for the next chapter. Overall this app is better than 80% of the other Manga apps on the AppStore.

Terrible ads. Finished a chapter and watched an add 6 times in a row just for it to stay on the chapter I was on again and again. Hoping it would resolve and let me read next chapter I kept trying. Got 6 tries in them came here to review it. If there’s gonna be an ad after every chapter at least have them work. Besides that it’s amazing tho so I’m still giving 5 stars

Suggestion for an additional function.. Hello author, I have just recently downloaded the app and used it but I love it so much. I have already gotten a version with ads-free for this manga app. Almost all of the titles i love was found in the app, so I never want to lose it ever again. I am wondering if you would consider adding an additional sign-in/log-in function for this app. So that once logged in, your favorite mangas can be saved and shared on multiple devices. This way the users do not have to manually find/add the manga they love if they happen to change to a new phone. Please give this suggestion a well contemplation.

Great variety, with a few hiccups.. I love the amount of manga that is available on this app. That being said, I have one major complaint. Rereadability is a pain. Once a chapter is read it will stay at the end page. Meaning if you want to reread a series you have to manually swipe back to the first page for each chapter. The only way I’ve found that fixes this is deleting and reinstalling the app, which then leads to having to refund and favorite all those you had previously. Hopefully in a future update the app will add a way to restart a manga from the beginning for rereading.

LOVE. I havenloved reading bls for a while now. This is honestly the first place I go to when i see a new bl rec on tiktok. I LOVE how we can read practicly every manwha or yaoi we want for free! Sometimes when I searched for something, another thing would pop up but looked like it would be on google lol. For ex, "weather in Nashville" even tho there isn't a manga abt that. I hate going on lezhin and having to pay a fortune to read just few chapters. THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE APP FOR MANGAS

Had to switch over cause my old app broke. Not bad alt, $10 upgrade is kind of the standard and worth it to me at least. It has a big catalog of manhwas which is a plus for me. The quality of the scans are decent, some are not the greatest but I get it since some scan groups are a little blurry. I will say it updates pretty fast but not as fast as other apps. Hoping for a delay of only a few days and not any longer :) alsoooo, to the developers I hope you can add a feature to restart certain stories so we can re read stories and not have to scroll to the beginning of every chapter we already read. Thank you !

So…. Just got the app, and was running smoothly. I was just adding manga that I wanted to read later. It gave me the option to rate the app. I clicked it, and then it closed the app completely and when I tried to open it back, it would load slow and then I went to my favorites so I could read, I clicked a manga and then the app closed again. It did this over and over again. They have really good stuff, though.

It’s just really good (with a few minor issues). I used it for about 2 weeks with ads and just recently just spent the $10 to not get ads. There is tons of manga and manhwas on it and you can save them for later (it also tells you when it updates!). The ads, while short and skippable, did get a bit annoying after a while as some chapters had extraneous x.1, x.2, etc, so you would get multiple ads in a row while trying to skip to the next chapter. The $10 was well worth it imo. I also love how you can choose to read manga in a swipe left/right fashion instead of the basic scrolling, that’s a really nice touch and allows for you to actually understand what your reading easier. Overall, really great, highly recommend.

It bugged out. The app was good in the beginning and It worked for about a day but then after a while for some reason it kept saying “no data detected” when I went into category’s or like any thing and I haven’t been able to get it to work, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, I’ve tried shutting down my phone the turning it on again and I tried looking through the setting to see if that was the problem but I couldn’t find a way to get it to work, I would recommend this if they fix that bug but currently I think I’m gonna drop this and look for another manga app

Not bad at all!. There's a lot to choose from! Different categories too! The adds are...annoying but bearable. I would like it if I could change the formatting of my favorites list. I appreciate being able to toggle from alphabetical order to recently updated etc, but I think it'd be nice if there was an option to arrange titles into a list format, or something of that sort. It would be easier to focus on versus the current grid format. Overall, I am happy with it and will continue to use it.

Needs to be fixed. It’s a good app when it works but it has a problem where the home page won’t load then it has a problem where some manga chapters won’t load either and they just stay black and the only fix I could find is to completely delete the app and redownload it which is very annoying for you when you have a ton of mangas favorited which means you have to redownload them and remember what chapter they where on. But other than that it’s still a pretty good manga app with a huge selection of mangas and stuff.

Ehh. The best it’s getting from me is a three. It has the manga I’ve been looking for which is nice. However there is no way to actually categorize things. Like yes I can look up a specific genre but after that nope. I can’t alphabetize it, see which ones are completed or even add to different genres together. None of that. Which is quite disappointing. All it does is show the highest viewed ones and onwards. Which makes it hard to find manga that I don’t really remember the name of but know the first few letters of or if they kind of old or not popular.

Great app. Does the job. Great app. Has all the titles. And if you opt for the 9.99 up charge, no ads. Hard to find an app that first of all, has the library and second of all, allows for a no ad experience. If you’re an avid reader, 9.99 should not be a problem to pay for unlimited no ad experience. Sometimes the pages are a little zoomed out, but you can always zoom in. All in all, does the job, no complaints.

Great…and annoying. As far as selection goes this app is awesome! Has bleach, one piece and the breaker which is why I downloaded it. However if you don’t buy the ad free package ($10 as of May 2022) you’ll be getting 30 second ads every-time you change chapters….now that’s annoying! But sometimes the chapters don’t even load. I’ve had to click on a single chapter 4 times and had to watch the 30 second or longer every time because it wouldn’t load the chapter correctly. If you pay the $10 bucks it’s pretty good, but the collection page just spins and never shows anything :/ decent app but needs a ton of work…because of the selection it gets 4 stars

Absolutely love it.. I probably spend more time reading than I do doing anything else outside of work and let me just say this app has such a wide variety! The ads are definitely a pain but after using the app for awhile I decided it was worth spending the $10 as I use my reading app more than anything else. In short if your like me and manga has absolutely consumed your life this is THE IOS app to read manga, manhua, and everything in between

Best manga app I’ve ever seen. This is by FAR! The best manga app there is it has the most variety like jjk Tokyo ghoul one piece and bleach like every other manga app I have on my phone is missing one of these but it’s not missing a single one and did I forget to mention that it gives you all the chapters not the first 3 chapters then the last 3 chapters weekly so if your grounded for a month you won’t have to worry about having to not be able to see the chapters and you don’t need any type of member ship to read the chapters there literally free the only problem is the random ads that pop up during read but it’s justified due to the quality of this manga app this is definitely the best one I’ve seen so far and the developers deserve more credit than they get definitely get this app MANGA BAT ON TOP!

Still some bugs, but a good app. This app has a very large variation of different mangas that one can read. My only gripe about the app is that some chapters will not load completely or just fails to load. Also, if you wish to re-read a chapter, you physically have to scroll back to the first page. That being said is it worth getting if you like manga, yes. Is it worth the $10 for no ads, yes. Overall this is a good app that will get better as time goes on.

Decent. There’s a cool fifteen to twenty second ad after every chapter or entering a new manga, exit out of the app, go back in and you gotta another ad, good selection though. Though I think sometimes their selection aren’t always including the latest chapters but they got more than other apps or at the very least it’s better than the other apps that may have a lot of selection but paywalls, and their ads are bearable like even for the lazy people. Overall, decent manga app.

App no longer functions. This app has been fantastic since I first got it, and until this week I would’ve happily rated it five stars. However, starting a few days ago, the app no longer functions. The home screen is stuck on the loading circle, the search function also gets stuck on the loading circle, and while my collection still shows the manga that I have saved, once I click on one, it doesn’t load and just shows the loading circle. I am unable to read any manga anymore, which seems like a problem for an app that I paid money for. I’m hoping that they resolve this soon, or else I will have to find a different app.

App does not work anymore…. The home page doesn’t load and I cannot load or read any manga. Within the app, there is no way to contact the developers/created for assistance or to report bugs. I paid to remove the ads because they were quite annoying (and frequent) but now the app doesn’t even work for me so it feels like my money just went to waste. Based on other reviews, it seems like other users are also experiencing similar issues. Also, since it looks like the last update was 3 months ago so I’m not sure when or if this problem will be addressed in future updates. It is a solid manga reading app…when it actually worked 🤠🤠

Good but needs fixing. I actually really like this app. It has a great variety of works to choose from and has a nice set up which is easy to use. The adds are very frequent, but you do have the option to forgo them with a fee. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to contact anyone to report malfunctions. Currently, when I try to go to the main page it’s constantly loading and doesn’t Ever finish downloading. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app three times, but no change. There is no data saver, so when you delete the app you lose all your data. I hope they update it soon cause I really liked this app

The app has a couple annoyances. It was like the app was desperate for a rating and it got old real quick. It’s also pretty annoying how I have to watch an ad to move on to another chapter, even if I already read that chapter. I would much rather me have to “earn” points by watching ads on a separate part of the app. (Ex: each ad is worth 10 points and each episode/chapter is worth 20 points to unlock. I would rather watch 10 ads at once and be able to read 5 episodes right after each other.) But besides those things I’ve enjoyed the app so far.

Plz update one piece. Everything is good except 15 bucks ad removal. If I have to pay 15 I would expect the app to work better (I need to go back to the main page and select next chapter instead of just press next buttons which exist but doesn’t work 😑).

Take forever to load. Feel like the pages takes forever to load, plus have to click on same chapter a couple of time for it to work

Very good but missing one critical feature. The app has a few good features which include: Fast loading times Saving reading orientation between different manga/manhua/manhwa Having all the ones I normally read available However, it lacks the “pull to go to next chapter” function, where you can simply swipe at the last page to go to the next chapter. Instead, you need to tap the arrows to go to the next chapter, which is much less convenient. If the devs could implement the above, this app would be perfect.

Eh. If there was less ads or atleast an option to download i would give 5 stars

Loading problem. There are time when no matter how fast my internet is the page won’t load…. It takes a lot of time to open or the page just dies..

A really good app. I really love using this app to read mangas w/o getting a virus but the problems lies where sometimes I go on the app and it kicks me out straight after I clicked on a manga page? Then if I retry over again it kicks me out till the point I have to re-download.

Has a wide range of manga to read. Only issue is that you can't group genres together when searching but overall pretty nice

Great app once you bought ad removal. The only issue I’ve had is that pressing next at the bottom for the next chapter doesn’t los the next chapter anymore and now you have to go to the chapter list and manually click the next chapter. Kind of a pain when reading like 100+ chapters.

Yay. I had a major breakdown when I couldn’t transfer the mangareader app, the pinkish red app with the m, to my new phone because it had access to all the different sources, I’m happy to say this app has finally replaced that app, though I’ve got about 300+ manga on the other one, the transition from old to new phone is so much better

Some manga unable to open. I tried to read demon slayer again but it doesn’t open and just keep on loading. I paid for the $15 for no ads but this is the consequences of it

Very good but major connection issues. I really like using this app, bought the no ads and everything because it seemed worth it. I slowly start to question that though because unless you only read the popular manga here there are a fair few manga that will not load at all on this app no matter how many times I restart it, so I just may as well access it online instead. If you fixed this one bug this app would be perfect but it’s seriously a problem, I had to reload the app 4 times and clear cache twice just to read a dress up darling chapter.

Great selection - could use more features. Best selection in an app I’ve seen and I’m happy to have paid for the upgrade but the interface is a bit outdated and features like downloading don’t seem present, which is disappointing but overall, I’m happy with it.

It’s okay. I’ve had many issues with this app, loading is constantly a problem, I don’t know if they check over any of the manga they have set on here as a lot of it isn’t full chapters. (Scanners asking to go to their website) no ability to download or login. Manga rock was way better than this.

Update Fixes. I've been using the app for a long time. However, It keeps turning grey recently. It started happening this week. usually things don't load. only a few pages are loaded. i have strong internet and i don't understand why it is doing this. i'll assume its a bug but overall its a great app! You can pay $13.99 CAD for lifetime subscription and there's a great selection of genres. Interface seems outdated but its easy to get to overall. Hope developers read this and look into it soon.

How I would rate this app. I love this app it’s really good. But I don’t like the ads in between each volume and the fact that the manga is a direct translation of the Japanese instead of being the English dub. For example: in the manga the characters will swear a lot and words like shrine will be replaced by temple or it would add a chan/ san to the end of names.

Good selection but app functionality is poor. (Update) Recently the app has suffered from severe technical issues, it’s bar none nearly un useable at times. The servers lag constantly, the crashes have become much more frequent, and the load times can take up to 5 minutes to load a singular page. The Developer NEEDS to update their servers or enhance the stability. It’s ridiculous. This app does have some pretty decent manga some I can’t find on others which is a positive. The layout is nice and it forces dark mode. However you have to till your phone whenever loading a new chapter for some reason then re flip to make it load. It’s laggy. And crashes for no reason. You need to reset the cashe constantly in order to make it function properly. If you do not pay the one time fee of 13 dollars you will get a lot of ads in the middle or start or reading your chapter.

Great for reading manga just two things. Like I said in the title it’s great but the ads can be frustrating but people gotta pay rent so I get it, personally I payed to remove ads and it works great. The second thing which stops it from being five stars is once an updated chapter is read the orange banner doesn’t disappear making the feature redundant and more confusing than anything. If the update banner thing gets fixed I’ll give star the app. Edit: The update banner thing was fixed a day after I made my review which is perfect timing and also making this app 5 stars in my opinion.

Pretty good. Got it to read berserk, clean ui and ads only between chapters. Recent issue where collection tab loads indefinitely. Deleting and re-installing, restarting my device does nothing to fix. Overall I recommend this app, hope to see some more bug fixes tho. rating this 5 stars because I want to see these devs succeed. But I would give it a 4.5 right now while this issue persists.

Easy to use Manga App. Ease to navigate and find what you want. Search works reasonably well with only part of title. You can change the direction of how the reader scrolls, and use standard two-finger zoom to enlarge image and text. The one time payment for no ads is worth it!

Mid. I love using this app as it has allowed me to discover new manga however it has some major flaws. Sometimes the app will not let you read manga and you have to delete and redownload the app but it deletes all your progress on every manga you were reading. Secondly the app just wont load at all I turned off my phone for a couple of hours and now nothing on the app will load (not an internet issue every other app works just fine).

I have been using this app for a few months now because manga read was taking out of the play store and using this app is great but it pretty bad why I can’t change chapter scrolling down when finishing. App crashes a lot if you don’t close the app and it freezes a lot why who knows I just reading and out of nowhere the app freeze. I would recommend only if they make changes crash after crash

It’s a good app, but could use a tweak or two.. This is a very nice manga app to use. It’s ui is pleasant to use. Has a lot of genre. Very user friendly. I think a nice tweak would be an advance search feature, with the exclude feature in it as well. Also the loading can be kinda weird not sure if it’s a bug or not. Oh please add a refresh button so that if it doesn’t load correctly you can reload it.

Good App Collections is broken.. I like the app. Easy to use easy to read (on an iPhone 13 idk if that has anything to do with it) however, the collections tab is broken. It constantly refreshes and never shows me any manga. This is only an annoyance as I can just search for the manga I want but still would be nice to see it fixed

Loading. The manga and manhwa on here are great but I have a huge problem with the loading of each page. It tried to load all pages at the same time but that causes some pages that have low quality to load first instead of the page that I’m going to see next. They should in order not all at once. I have trouble loading manga that have high quality art.

HORRIBLE APP. Every time after an update, the app works fine for about a month, then the main page will fail to load anything. This is usually resolved by the time the next update happens, but please keep in mind that updating the app is not what resolves the issue. Once the new app version becomes available, the bug stops so I have decided never to update. If you have the same problems, I suggest you do the same. Worst of it, it does NOT automatically mark your Manga as "read", you have to do that yourself. And that button to mark all as read is RIGHT NEXT TO THE DELETE ALL BUTTON.

Good app but. I dont mind the ads, i get used to them however my biggest issue is how laggy it is. Its not my connection I know for sure but sometimes when im on instagram, then i enter this app it starts lagging and its very annoying because sometimes it makes my phone crash. It might be my phone but my phone is pretty new(got it early this year) and I just recently updated my phone and its still lagging.

Good app but sometimes. The app is great for reading manga with most of the selections being able to be searched and found. The ads are annoying, but more a nuisance then anything. My main gripe is that sometimes the app seems to crash and restart your device, or to a lesser extent, crash back to your Home Screen.

Good but the ads…. As stated everything is good about this app, but the ads appear after EVERY CHAPTER. It’s not even the quick cancel ones either but the ones that force you to watch for x seconds. This may break immersion for some people, especially between fight chapters. Overall, however, a great product.

If someone where to ask me what is a good website to read manga I would recommend this app because there is a range off different type of manga but the only problem I have with this app if that there are so many commercials and that can get annoying when all you want to do is relax and read.

Good App but slow. I really enjoy the large selection of manga and manhwa that this app provides however even on my home internet it is very slow and takes forever to load manga pages. However when it does load its very nice to read especially if you opt to buy the no ads for a cheap price. Overall I would recommend as an app.

$10 for the ad free version. Worth the purchase, high quality, fast load times, 10/10. Side note, don’t even bother using without removing ads, it’s an ad every chapter, your time is worth more than that, you could be reading twice as much manga just by paying $10

Surprise. The app has a large choice! I search up random mangas I find and about 80% of the time it’s there! You can save ur mangas, look at your recent searches and see when the last update was I took off two stars for two huge things that bug me so much that I’d rather use my browser and test my luck. 1. The adds. I never mind ads, i feel like it gives a break but as someone who listens to music I have to restart after every chapter. On top of that the way to close is either to small, DOESNT WORK, or takes you to the App Store. Every time an ad comes up I know that I’ll go back and forth with it 3/4 times 2.The interface is ugly and outdated. I hate opening it in public because it truly looks like a 🌽app. With the ads it feels like one too

A great app for manga. I get the ads that way it remains free and it’s not even that bad under 15 seconds and its skippable I mainly use it to watch solo leveling and I have no complaints it was super easy to use and understand the ads aren’t even that bad so I would recommend it if your trying to read a manga on your phone

It’s a decent app. It's an excellent manga app with a vast selection, but the app still definitely has a lot of bugs. It will randomly close and lose your progress in the manga you're reading if you leave the app, and sometimes, you will lose the progress of other mangas you were reading, along with having a problem loading some chapters or entire mangas. I hope some of these bugs are fixed. But overall not too bad of an app.

It’s great but it stopped working. At first I was really happy with the app, lots of manga to choose from, not an overwhelming amount of ads, overall a great app. But after a couple months it refused to load, I thought it might be because my phone had too little storage so I deleted a bunch of photos and apps I wasn’t using but it still doesn’t load and it kicks me out of the app whenever I click on one of the manga in my favorites tab.

App has finally improved. The app has now been updated to a point in which it is not only the best manga reading app in my opinion but is also extremely versatile and stable. Prior to the most recent iterations of the app it was glitchy and darn near unusable, but thanks to the developers time and investment into the app it is now the best app on the market.

It’s worth paying the one time payment. There are a couple main titles that I’ve been looking for, for a long time. This literally has everything I’ve been looking for. The ads are frustrating and break my momentum. However for 10 bucks you can get rid of them. I recommend it!

Good. One of my favorites right now, but does still have a few bugs. Sometimes while reading a chapter won’t come up right away. I had to reload it a few times before they worked. And like others sometimes the mangas aren’t quite right or are mixed accidentally with other mangas with similar names. But overall really enjoyable and easy format to navigate.

It Has Berserk. Has a good catalog of manga, including Berserk. $10 to remove ads forever is a good deal too if you plan on using this app often. Wish there was an option to flip pages with a button instead of swiping, but that’s personal preference. Otherwise great app, would recommend

Great app but please make it so we can search through multiple genres. It’s a great app and I’ve used for a long time now, although it gave me troubles with loading, but it seems fixed in the update. Please add a way to filter based on multiple genres not just one!!

Collection page not loading. This is one of the apps that had great reviews. I recently updated my phone and had to look for a new app to read all my manga, Manhua, webtoons and whatever else their called. The collections page did not load. I was able to use the search and found many of the mangas o was reading, but none of the webtoons. Thankfully the apps on my old phone continue to get updated. So I will use it for the ones I was able to search for.

Good enough for me. It doesn’t let me go directly to the next chapter with the button, I have to exit the store and go back to chapter selection and manually select the next chapter. However it has everything I want to read on it and the ads go away with a one-time payment, so I’m going to keep using it. It’s a good app, it needs a little bit of love but I’m here for it.

Crashes. I appreciate the developers who have made made this app possible. But literally every time I attempt to use MangaBat it always unexpectedly crashes. I’m well aware that this is a normal bug in the app that some users are experiencing, so I’ll be looking for other alternatives until this is fixed. Again thanks for creating the app

10/10 I would recommend this to anyone who reads manga.. Has a great collection of manga 100% free to read that’s what I like most about it because I spent so much time looking for an app that’s free and does not cost me ANYTHING. One thing that there is when you flip to the next chapter 75% of the time you get a 15 second ad which isn’t really bad at all.

UI Could be better. Overall it’s a solid app. I like that it’s a one time purchase to get rid of ads instead of a subscription. I do think that it could be a little better UI-wise. Like if you didn’t have to explicitly choose to go onto the next chapter and you could just scroll as though it was just a long scroll instead of having to click next chapter each time.

Good but blacks out sometimes. When I’m reading and going to the next chapter it blacks out and i have to rotate my phone for it to go back to normal which is annoying when im in bed reading Edit: if you have this problem just change to vertical reading mode

It’s great. The home page is finally fixed. Large collection of manga and manhwas. Easy to search for a specific book or browse in the home page or subgenra. You can favorite titles you like to separate page. Issue of having to mark all as read when a new chapter is release is still there. Ad wise it’s still one ad per chapter, but the ads haven’t been annoying as previously.

Really great app!. Been using this app for about a month so far. Wide selection of manga. Not the prettiest or best designed app, but functional. I don’t have any complaints with the ads—all of them were only 30-45 seconds max. Only problem I’ve had is sometimes the app crashes and I have to watch the ad again and some of the chapters don’t load properly. Other than that, great app. Thanks!

It’s good but….. Good selection of reading materials. Now if it would only load the next chapter a the same zoom factor as what you just read. It loads a blank screen and when you double tap, it zooms in and you have to readjust the page size. And it does it for the whole chapter.

It’s just loading. I’ve always loved reading on this app but I can’t even do that all I see is the library just loading I’ve powered off my phone, deleted the app than reinstalled it and even exited the app wait for a few minutes and went back into the app. It still is just loading. I would usually give apps like these a good review but I can’t this time. Please try and fix this issue I don’t want to have to switch it another platform just because I can’t read the manga comics on yours

Needs a lot of Tweaks. For starters notifications from new chapters I have yet to see one with the settings set for it to show. Next would be the look of the homepage doesn’t look all the way finished in a way like a online version of an app. When you go to favorites after reading a chapter could you removed the update from the chapter if you have 10 new updates and read all 10 it shouldn’t still say 10. When reading a chapter I shouldn’t have to tap the screen to remove the border, and why can’t you continue scrolling instead of selecting the next chapter button to continue? And it feels really slow or for better clarity not smooth. I enjoy the selections but it could be better after these changes were to be addressed.

Could be great. This app is super promising, unfortunately the glitches made me move on to finding something else. When you finish a volume and try to go to the next you have an advertisement, then the screen goes blank, and you have to exit out of the volume and get back in, then there’s another advertisement, then half the time you’re back to the volume you just finished, and you have to go to the end of that and try the whole thing all over again.

Great reader. To be completely honest I was just looking for a reader that didn’t have too many ads but this one did….. but thankfully there is a way to purchase an ad remover it was only 9.99 which isn’t to bad of a price and now I conveniently read all my manga peacefully without interruption. Thanks manga bat!!

Honestly not good. Most I’ve gotten out of this app after a few weeks is two and a half chapters because it refuses to load any pages and if for some reason something happens when it’s loading it cancels loading the page. On top of every chapter you select you get an ad, which I get it’s free but $10 for maybe getting to read a chapter or two here and there no thanks. So a vicious cycle of click chapter, ad, pages fails to load, change chapter, ad, resume chapter, ad, fails to load chapter

I gave in. I paid the once-charged 10 dollars and get no ads. That means this app is great. However with the ads it’s unbearable. I’d understand if there was an ad every time you went into read a series. Fine. But there is an ad every chapter. Video ads. Not simple “X out of this”. If the ads were just less present, or at least made to be images and not videos, it would get my 5 star.

But…. I love this app and have been following manga rock for a very long time. My only complaint is I CAN’T MUTE THE ADS. I don’t mind having an ad after every chap (though it is very annoying), I would prefer there be ad after every few chaps instead, but being unable to mute the ads is the bigger inconvenient. I usually listen to music while I read and these adds can be VERY loud 🥹

Great but pages take forever to load and sometimes they dont even load.. Many great selections but damnit does the it bug me that the panels take forever to load , I find myself having to close out the whole thing because sometimes it just shows a big X on on the panel. Id like to rate higher but its super annoying that it takes me like half n hour just to get through a few chapters.

The app is great but. One of the best manga apps so far but there is one issue that bothers me the most and it’s the long loading time. Some pages are visible but most of the time they aren’t. I’m stuck with waiting for all these pages to load in and no matter how many times a refresh the app and refresh my connection it’s always slow. Stop loading. This app has been working rest the past few days, but when I opened it today after not using the app for a few hours it was stuck on the loading page for hours! I tried everything you can think of, fixing/adjusting Wi-Fi, data, shutting off my phone, deleting and redownloading, nothing! All my other apps work, and this one was the only one that didn’t work. At that point, I sadly gave up and just downloaded another app :(

Loading. Usually I adore this app but the last month or so, My main screen has been constantly loading. I can get to my favorites and I can search anime but one of my favorite features of this app was the browsing through genres. I deleted the app and then downloaded it again to try and fix it but it is still doing it. I adore this app when it works and will be totally willing to change my review once this is fixed.

Constantly prompts for reviews, excessive ads.. As the title states, the app is practically unusable in its current state if you don’t buy the premium upgrade. It’s close in quality to the old version of manga top before it got decimated, but the ads are much more intrusive on this platform. It’s selection is mediocre at best and most of the good stories to read have watermarks so large and compression so intense that it renders the product inferior to using a browser and locating scans online. Only consider downloading this app if you aren’t afraid to throw 10 bucks at it for the premium version.

Good when it’s not garbage. The app works great some of the time but I’ve used many of these apps over the years and this one is probably one of the more poorly designed ones. Main missing features are a reload page button and a way to manually que up chapters for download. The app randomly will not load pages and the only way to fix it is to back out of the chapter and reload or restart the app. It is very annoying.

Please update/fix the app. I have to clear the cache everytime I open the app to get it to work on the iphone 14 pro max. It constantly closes out and at least 1-2 times a day it will shut the phone off and I have to turn it back on. If I pop out of the app to answer a call/text or even lock the screen for a second and come back it will crash. I really like the app but this is making me want to move on. I left on app for this one but not sure if I will stay with it.
