Is there ANY support for this app?. After about 30 attempts at just starting the app, I’m about to give up on both the i3 cube and the app. The app has never finished initializing. It either crashes before it gets to the end of the introductory tour or when I tap on the cube icon when prompted to do so by the tour to register my cube. Is this just an issue with the latest release?

Fun app!!. The Gan 12 ui free play is the best Bluetooth speed cube on the market, in my opinion. The app is also great, however, login issues can be frustrating.

2nd review - What a Shame. After over 2 hours of "connections fails" I finally logged in. The app worked great for 15 minutes. Now i keep having to resume it and the orientation is off by 90 degrees. The folks at GAN should be ashamed of themselves for even releasing Singh buggy software. It's almost completely useless. I'm deciding whether or not I can find another app to use for the cube otherwise I'll return for a gocube.

Algorithms are bad. This app is amazing because you get to go against other people around the world. But the worst part about it is that when I wanted to learn new algorithms I went to training and most of the algorithms did not work like I wanted to do the advance method and I did the algorithms for the last step they did not make me better because they did NOT work.

U broke it. It is an amazing app worked great but I say worked because after the new update I can’t log in it keeps say network timed out after LITERALLY 3 SECONDS so yeah please fix also I did change the network and the device and reset and uninstall and everything please fix

Nice App But It Stopped Working. Hi, So i just got a smart cube and downloaded this app, for the first usage of the app it was fine but when i closed the app it didn’t work anymore. Any attempt to actually use the app didn’t get me further than the loading screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, i reset my iPhone and changed what wi-fi i used but it just isn’t working. It’s a good app but it did break.

Ahhh it’s okay.. Had to write this review after this: Phone was at 19%, I do one solve. Next solve, 10% battery notification pops up and DNFs my solve. No way to turn off those notifications so if your phone is anywhere near low battery (I’ve never seen anything kill a charge as fast as this app), you’re guaranteed 2 DNFs. App works fine tho.

This app is hot garbage. Took forever to sync the gan cube, eventually had to restart the app to find the cube. Got it synced with the app but the orientation in the app is completely wrong. Tried to do solved sync but could not get the app to recognize the way I’m holding it. Finally figured out I could tap the cube on the home page and drag it to match mine. Ok fine. Then tried to do solo timer and works fine for the first round but then in the second round the scramble has all wrong moves. As an example it will tell me F and the illustration is R, even though the cube is in sync now everything in the scramble is backwards and it changes every round. Terrible app. It’s too bad as the cubes are great. Need to get someone from GoCube over here to fix this app.

Best smart cube and app. I don’t have any of the issues talked about in all these reviews. I went from 5 minute solves to sub 30 in 2 months and all the credit is due to this app. I have the Rubik’s connected as well. This app is better! Ugh, after 70 days of awesomeness I haven’t been able to connect for 2 days. Going crazy! Need this fixed NOW! It says “unable to get server version number” Still can’t get on!!! You guys have to fix this!!!

Great app but not much Understandable. This is a great app but the one problem is that in the tutorial it really only shows where the main stuff is and sometimes I like to know where the little stuff is such as the coupons also if you could make the videos in academy English for people who selected English as their language.

One of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. I’ll save you some trouble: DO NOT buy a Gan Robot for cube scrambling unless you have a 365i cube. Gan advertises that it will also work with a regular cube, but (a) you need special center caps to be installed, and (b) even after that, the app refuses to work. This app also looks like it was designed by a third grader. The interface is ludicrously unintuitive; I couldn’t find the scramble function even after looking for 15 minutes. Wherever it is, it’s well hidden. Gan makes good cubes but this app is worthless.

Doesn’t work at all.. I don’t have much of a review, because there’s nothing *to* review. The app won’t open at all. Downloads updates, server number, version number etc. But then nothing. Just a screen with the logo. Over several weeks I can’t get it to go any further than that. VERY DISAPPOINTED for spending so much on the robot solver for absolutely nothing. Please save your money and don’t ever ever buy this.

Server Closed. Ummmm so I guess this company is out of business? Every time our son tries to use this it just says server closed.

Jan 3rd update Errors. The app was updated and now the credit section and main profile are not working. Also many banners are only in Chinese when they used to be in English. Don’t update until the developer fix many of this issues. I should have wait.

Login problems. The app is great… when it works. Sometimes it’s impossible to login.

All bugs fixed. I have looked through a few of the one star reviews and all the bugs of the app not starting ect. Are fixed. Plus this app is jam packed with features. But there is completely no sound in the whole app which is small problem.

Good when it works, worthless when not.. I like the app when it works; keeping track of everything is all I really care about. But the MAJOR problem is that when their server is down or whatever the problem is (which happens often enough), you can’t do anything! If you can’t log on, you can’t scramble or solve. And unfortunately, as of April 24, 2021, it’s down and doesn’t log on!!!

I don’t see any problems. The app looks fine. I have read through some of the bad reviews and I wanted to say the app “Cube Station” works great. I will say that you need to download 13 mega bytes when you download the game. I hope this review will encourage you to download this app.

Please just fix it.. Look, people don’t want to wait forever for the app to be fixed. A lot of people might move onto different brands and stuff because they would probably feel like the cube that once HAD a WORKING app now seems like a normal Rubik’s Cube. You really need to fix the app ASAP if you want to keep people interested. People like working apps not apps that do nothing. And some of us have been waiting months for something that is probably an easy fix. Please fix it ASAP. :/

Works very good on WiFi. LTE on the move not so much.. Cube station works very good on WiFi while at home. But extremely hit or miss on LTE. Earlier today I was sitting at 3 bars LTE for both of my sims (att and T-Mobile) and cube station won’t generate a scramble for time trials citing network issues. Thankfully I have my non smart main with me and DCTimer to get my cubing done. It even want network connection for the training mode too. Wow 🤦🏽‍♂️

Used to work :/. I used to love this app, I had been using it for the past year. However recently when I would go to 1v1 people it would never find anyone for me and I wouldn’t be able to battle which is kinda the main reason I spend $80 on a cube. I deleted the app and re downloaded it. I got past the logo screen once and tried to login but it kept saying network error or something? Anyway I couldn’t get in and I deleted it again and re downloaded it l, again and now I can’t even get passed the logo. Please fix this ASAP this was one of my favorite apps! :(

Not functional. I have the current and the older version of this app. The older version great when it comes to getting the cube connected and running. Whereas the current version is incapable of even connecting a cube. I’ve tried resetting my phone, recharging my cube, and even with all Bluetooth capabilities enabled. The cube is still only able to connect to the older version of the app. I would recommend trying one of these cubes as they are great... When they actually work that is...

Won’t connect to the cube or the robot.. Getting this thing to connect over Bluetooth is basically impossible.

Cannot register product with the app. So far so good! Took me couple tries to register the product. However when I switch to the chinese language, all my registration in English are gone? The tutorial is not very intuitive. Especially the monster go, very little description of what it actually is . Product syncs well and the views of the cube can be enhanced for beginners to better understand of the orientation of the cube and the different turns

Good. This app is very good. It may only work on internet, but that’s okay. It allows you to customize your color scheme, race against others, and more. Again, don’t try to use it on data.

Really good but one problem. So, this app is really good, the way you can play online is great. But 2 problems are that you can’t see your PB unless it was a solo solve but if it was against another person you can’t. And when you match online, you either match with someone too good or too bad so it’s hard to get someone on your level. The last one is that you can play online with a non smart cube but people abuse the feature and just click really fast and “get” like a millisecond but don’t actually solve so it’s pretty pointless. But other than that, this is a great app.

Absolutely useless. UPDATE: As of August 25th, 2022 this app officially no longer works without verification with a Chinese (+86) phone number. You cannot even do local training with the hardware you own. The people who suggest this app works must have already had an existing account because if you bought a new cube and are installing this for the first time? Too bad! You just bought a regular Rubik’s cube because there is absolutely no way to create an account or access your cube. I love Gan cubes but at this point their digital products are essentially a scam. Stay away!

I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews. I just don’t know why there are so many bad reviews on this app, I mean ya you do have do download some stuff when you open it, but you have to do that for literally EVERY app on the earth. And when the servers are down Then grab your other cube and do stuff on that one, it’s not like its the end of the world or something, and if it disconnects then reconnect it, I mean come on, this app is great and I highly recommend it with or without the smart cube.

Great, most of the time…. I got this app and after some fiddling around and trying to log in I figured it out, the app itself is very well done and has helped me bring my average down from 35-40 second solves to 25-30 second solves. The cube does have occasional connection problems with the app. The online system is also pretty fun but it does take a bit of time to start up a match. Overall, there is room for improvement in the app but it works good enough for me.

It takes a long time to download. Is my Christmas present and so far is the best .It’s so much better than rubix connected because it’s cheaper and the gan I carry has Magnets and rubix conncet doe not

Super Buggy app. This app has a lot of potential. However the problems are many. It can take 30 minutes to load sometimes longer. Trying to connect online is hit or miss. If you try to play with friends the chat part will crash the app. Also does not register if your friends are on correctly or not. If you create a private room to play with friends in you are only going to get a few rounds before the app crashes or the server kicks you out. There are some good tutorials on how to solve but the rest of it that is the most interesting is buggy at best.

Worst app up I’ve ever seen. The us for this app is literally made out of walking crap, also I can’t even sign in.

Bad design that got worse. I had this app a year ago with my ganiplay. It was ok, but Disconnected occasionally. I Re downloaded it this year and was amazed at how HORRIBLE it is. It was lazily thrown together by some Chinese people who clearly must have tried to make it as jank and questionable an interface as possible, as if it were a illegal Chinese pirating website. It doesn’t connect to the cube and the mobile phone login does not work. Do not buy a fan smart cube! It might be worth the money if the app worked, but it simply doesn’t.

AMAZING!. I don’t know why everyone else says it’s trash, it’s awesome. Though you do need good internet connection for it.

Very fun!. Make sure to check it out if you have a bluetooth gan! After the big update there were more features and a lot of bugs removed! Overall great app!

Can’t log back in after update. I want to login after the update, but I can no longer get in because it’s only in Chinese once you try to verify. This needs to be fixed or this app is useless and therefore my cube is useless!

Really trash. poor network working

Use a VPN. App is garbage but the functionality is good, and you can get around the bad connectivity problems if you use a VPN from Taiwan.

Glitching. One I first downloaded this app I was excited with the layout and functions that could be used. But once I started using the app I got kicked out every single time after finishing a solve or when connecting the cube or when just starting up the app. I have been using other website and apps that have worked fine so why not this one. I don’t recommend the is due to its glitches and faults

Just Horrendous. App is poorly designed and written, logging in is harder than using the app itself. Why do I need to log in to a goddamn app to use a toy robot

Needs more 2x2 things. This app is good but it should have more things for 2x2. like agorithms and 2x2 compitions. also it needs to be able to scroll with a scroll wheel on mouse, and be able to change the cube type when making custom algerithms, but other than that it is realy useful. I like conecting my GAN timer to the app and using it to solve my cube over and over with out having to record anything but it still records my times! So overall I like this app and it is useful but there is a lot of room for improvement.

One thing. Pls add another slower rate. I get confused a lot

Helps me a lot. This app helps me a lot with learning algorithms and remembering them and it’s very easy to learn on the app as you can chose what you are using to solve it and also it teaches you the beginner way as well.

Hi devs I was gonna log in for the day but the app keeps saying unable to get server version number, please check the network and my network was fine and tried again another 5 times and the Sam thing happened and I made sure it was up to date it was. Cubestation not working. This app is good, unlike some of the other comments. The app is fine and never crashes for me. If your Cubestation is not working, try uninstall and go to the official Cubestation website.It wasn’t working for me and I tried that. Before you know it, It was working! Timer is practically useless on the app. The timer is practically useless on the app. I can’t do anything without a smart cube. Why is there even an option to connect a timer to the app if it is basically useless? Overall, devs, please add a feature for the smart timer to be able to be used in the app. Also, the non smart cube category for multiplayer is always offline. I hope you will add the feature I told you about soon. Bye.

Removed friends and credit. When I last installed cubestation, I had access to friends and credit. And then I didn't open cubestation and it said I needed to update it. After I did it, I saw that they had removed friends option and credit option. Pls fix this.

Add this because it’s stupid when that I cant change the cubes. Let me change the cube because I can’t see what cube is what and I picked the wrong one

Gan. The designer for your cube are good but the one for the app are horrible. Look the app of Xiaomi giiker, the UI is simple. Plus, can't change the default cube orientation even after changing the scramble orientation. You designed a new box for the I carry I think you can change the application. How? Just make the UI with html, CSS, node or something else.

Like the app, but…the screen doesn’t fit.. One of the problems I noticed with the app right away. The screen is not shaped for the newer Apple devices with the full screen that has that black dip at the top for the mic, cam, and whatnot. It would be great if you could fix that problem because it’s pretty annoying to have to flip my phone around just to read and press the left side menu. Also you can’t change your email address…ever. So it’s best you choose an email you’ll never, ever lose. It would be great if the developers added the ability to update your email address. As that is a very basic feature that’s pretty important in my opinion. If you do that, then I’ll be super happy😊

They ripped me off. I Buy the gan speed cube timer thinking that I can use it with the app when I connected to the app none of the features work without a smart cube and I put all my money on this smart timer. how can you do the app features with just a smart timer and no smart cube

Does not work. The version of cube station before this worked like a charm and this one is just completely broken. This basically makes all smart cubes useless to own till they fix this, since without the app the 356I line is just a worse 356X/XS

Useless. You can’t get pass the splash page. UI is horrible for English - you can’t even get pass the sign up page. Once again, this is a prime example of developers are not UI designers. This is a Big Pass.

I have a problem. So I just downloaded this app and when I sign in as visitor it says connection failed, I did what it told me to do and it didn’t work, then all of a sudden when I try to get in the app it won’t bring me into the sign in screen so I can’t use the app.

Stuck on splash screen. Checks for updates. Then gets stuck in the splash screen. So can’t be used at all.

I am in the us, trying to just use the cube.. It adds itself to myself to facebook to get privileges, and then fails to connect to something. Phone number login is china only. I wish i could just disable the network battle stuff; and just use the cube.

Old app worked fine. The old CubeStation app worked without any issues, but I can’t use the new app as it won’t even connect to their server.

New update killed the app. After the latest update, completely unable to use the app. The app continues to time out when you try to log on. And if you can’t log on, the app is unusable.

Horrible. I used to use and still have the old cube station app and absolutely loved it, this new app is absolutely garbage though and looks & functions way worse than the original app. This is probably the worst ever update for any app and im really sad that I can't easily use my gan 356 i anymore...

Won’t load. I’ve been waiting for hours for it to be done with downloading updates and it says my internet connection is bad even though I have full bars.

Absolutely worthless! Nothing works. I was using the app with my GAN 356 i2 and it wasn’t great but it worked. I just got the new GAN i Carry and had to download the new version of the app and they actually manage to release a product that does not work at all. The app does not work. It does absolutely nothing. It doesn’t recognize any of my cubes. It offers no help as far as what to do. Half of the screen display is in Chinese and the rest in English. This is such a huge disappointment. Don’t Buy a GAN connected cube because the app part of the product makes the whole worthless. So sad.

Never works. When I login it sometimes says that there’s a connection erroreven though there is clearly no issues and even when I can successfully login it just crashes it’s like a worthless piece of trash I’ve been trying to connect my gan timer for 2 straight days

Expensive. The app is mid and you have to spend 70 dollars just for it it have any use it has a non smart cube option but it doesn’t work

Will not connect. I bought a smart cube but when using the app at first I could connect it then it would not connect and every time I tried to connect it it would ask for acces to Bluetooth and I wails give it access and it would just ask again even though I already gave it permission

Useless without a smart cube :/. If you got this app without a smart cube, robot or timer theres no real point since all features require that equipment.

App is great. This app is great for beginners, and helped me solve my first cube.

Broken. Following a recent update the ability to login fails. The app continues to say network connection failed. The phone login option isn’t an option in the US. Hopefully, the developer will fix the app issues but if not don’t get the cube that works with the app since it will be a waste.

Constant Login Failures. I like this app for the training tools but I constantly have errors on login. If it wasn’t for me wanting to keep the Gan cube, I would stop trying using this app.

Forced download that doesn’t work. First the computer app became unusable thru a Bluetooth bug , now the phone app forces a linked download that doesn’t do anything , basically bricking a pretty expensive “smart” cube

Completely unusable app. This is maybe the worst app I’ve ever used. It was bad but usable but they made some changes and it’s completely unusable. GoCube’s app is WAAAAYYYYY better and reliable, which is unfortunate because GAN cubes are the gold standard for speedcubes.

App says "connection failed, please try again". I been trying to connect back to my account but every time I try to log in, the app keeps saying that it cannot connect to the internet. I tried to use my phone internet and it is the same for wifi and cellphone data! Please help me!!

Great. Great app, the one problem is you can’t time your solves with a non smart cube, you can’t do most things unless you have a smart cube.

Please update your app!. There are issues when it comes to initial launch and connecting to your server. Takes wayyyyyy too long! Don’t like the horizontal only format! Please fix. Please put some English text labels with the icons. Less pretty, and more functional please. The user experience rating for this app is what I marked. One star!

Has its down sides. Cube station is good but it has its down sides. For example sometimes the game will have my cube scrambled when it’s not. And the cube will randomly disconnect

Why only Chinese?. I tried to log in, but it needs my phone number. But it only uses Chinese phone numbers, like +86, +852, +853, and +886. I don’t have any of them.

Updates breaks app.. Had to update the app this morning and now connection to server times out. Would be nice if it were able to work without connecting to the server, but I’m sure saving all possible solutions would make the app size enormous.

Can’t get connected again. This app is not user friendly. Also, after updating to the new version, anytime I try to log in I get “Network Request timeout; please try again”; with not luck. Even after deleting and reloading the app. Really disappointing

Good game, bad matching.. App is good, works fine, but for SOME unknown reason, it puts me agains a seniorII when I am an advancedIII, and that seniorII can solve it in 14 seconds, hello? Oh! It’s SMURFING at the door. Going against me when my average is 42 seconds.

USELESS. I saw this review on this app, the developers didn’t even help! You can’t use this app if you don’t have a Chinese phone number! If you just bought this cube, we’ll it don’t care! It’s a waste of money! I would like this fixed soon!

Back to Gocube. I bought the Gan 365 I carry cube to use along with my Gocube. The cube is decent however this app is AWFUL. It rarely loads and when it does it's very buggy. I will order the Rubiks connected which uses the Gocube app which works flawlessly.

Not for beginners. I bought a GAN cube and this is the app it uses. The app is definitely not for beginners. I thought maybe this would teach you how to solve the cube but not at all. It’s a Chinese made app so it’s translation is not very good and things are not easy to figure out.

It’s ok but camera needs a fix. The mirrored orientation of the camera sync makes it nearly impossible to get the cube centered and oriented consistently. End up having to manually input the colors anyways.

The app worked until today. I went on the app today and the kunlun thing appeared then it was just stuck there

Can’t Use My Cube After App Update. It’s takes a very long time to load. At first, I thought the program was stuck, but it eventually loaded. After the latest software update, my cube is no longer linked to the app, and the app won’t let me link it. So I now have a very expensive Rubik’s Cube that won’t do anything special because the app is so bad.
