Good but bad. It was working good but then I used it again then I kept saying do you want to got premiums so I push that x button and I push the change button and tell me again do you want to go premium. So I deleted the app bye.... ✌️

My overview. By far the most best one to download, the features it have tops all.

Garbage. I downloaded this app thinking it would just be a simple “pair and use” but instead I got a pop up galore to upgrade to premium. Literally after 3 minutes of use I tried to lower the volume when the infestation of “upgrade for only 30 dollars” kept popping up. Uninstalled right after that don’t waste your time with this app or the other reviewers saying it’s good

App works great!. Honestly it’s super convenient, I always lose the remote but my phone is always by my side! App works great and instantly paired with my lg c9 with literally no effort. Downside: It’s pricey, and definitely needs a price check.

Soooooo happy. My daughter lost my remote. I can’t find it anywhere. Then I took a chance and found this app!!! I’m so happy I can use my tv now!!!

Premium. Quit begging me for premium. I will admit this is good for when you lose a remote, but QUIT. BEGGING. ME. FOR. PREMIUM. Why do I need to buy premium to use this remote more? Buy the Smartify app because not only it doesn't beg you for premium but it works for more than just LG. If you're gonna beg me for premium why did you make the app free?

Awful. This is literally useless unless you pay for the premium version. I would be perfectly content to view ads and be able to use the app but that’s not an option. The app will only allow you to press about 3 buttons before completely shutting down and only offering you the option to upgrade. Don’t waste your time.

Free edition not worth it. Do not bother downloading the app if you don’t plan to get the puf version. The add will prevent you from selecting anything after a few clicks a day. I read the reviews and tried to give the app a chance but only wasted my time. I laughed at how bad the app was and how right everyone else was who tried to use the free app

Stop annoying pop ups please. I love this app I just don’t appreciate the add of a universal remote popping up every time I enter the app. The reason I bought the app was to not run into annoying things like that popping up telling me to download a universal remote when I’m perfectly fine with this one

Paying. Why do we have to pay to use a remote? Why do a remote have ads? Why is the Roku tv remote free and we can do everything up there no ads and it’s easier to use but this one you gotta pay and u can only use it on LG tvs when Roku all u gotta do is change which tv u want it connected to at the top to me it’s just to much just to turn the tv or something cheaper to just buy a universal remote and call it a day💯

Paid for Premium - Never got it. Paid the full amount for premium access to remove ads and unlock all features. Once fully paid, the app never refreshed. No features unlocked, same amount of ads, and continued “buy premium” ad continued to pop up. I deleted and redownloaded to no success. This is not official LG app you are just as good downloading another free universal remote app or just getting a replacement remote.

Horrible. I downloaded, connected to tv and did two things then it made me buy premium. Like an idiot I paid for the $25 lifetime fee and now it still pops up asking me to pay for subscription and I can’t even use. I expect a full refund or someone to get in touch and get it working properly.

Bad. I got it because our tv remote was dying and it worked for about ten minutes. However, I couldn’t press any button without it telling me I needed to get premium to do anything. Find a different remote this one is not good.

Do not download.. Horrible app that tries to aggressively push a premium price on a standard remote app that is free with other companies. It blocks you out of any of your remotes features after one use until you pay its premium of $20. An absolute joke. Total trash

I just tried it. I can’t give a great rating because it only been 5 sec and they are forcing me to do a review. Bottom line, so far so good. I paid for the 5 dollar weekly to test it out.

Mediocre app. The app has difficulty connecting to your phone. If you can actually get it to connect, it works OK. It doesn’t stay connected once you have it connected to your phone, however. It disconnects and makes you reconnect all the time. It’s frustrating and irritating.

Might as well consider it a paid app. In a 30 second period of attempting to use the app, I was flooded with pop-ups asking for reviews (gave it a 1 to get it to go away), followed by about 5 minutes of regular usage before any attempted action (like pressing directional buttons on the remote app) would simply bring up a window asking for $20. It may very well be a great app but I never got a chance to actually use it, so who knows.

LGRemote App. I actually love this remote app. Yes it is sometimes contrary but all remotes are I have found, real or app. I have an amazing LG OLED TV that I purchased from Beach Camera as a refurb item and for whatever reason the back button on the Magic Remote has never worked. I have another LG Magic Remote from another tv and it doesn’t work from it either. All other functions do, just no back button. So this is the only way I can go back, which is a necessity on any streaming service you use (with the exception of Netflix and I can use the toggle switch on it to go back). So I may have to restart my iPhone occasionally to get it to connect to the tv but it’s fine by me because it works beautifully when I need it :)

Can’t even use it. If you’re going to let people download an app to try, stop making the premium use button pop up every time I click anything. If anything, this was a major turn off and made me NOT want to purchase a premium account. I don’t even know if I like the remote or not because I can’t even test it out effectively 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😒

Privacy. When it comes to privacy, this app rates less than a one! ToS and Privacy Policy are extremely general, to the point of being a blank license for LG to do anything it wants, with anything they can collect. There are loopholes in these documents big enough to drive a truck through. How about since this is a remote control app for MY TV, for which I PAY, you keep all MY data off of your servers? To control my TV, there is no need to send anything off of the TV or phone!

Absolutely useless!!!!. You cannot use more than one of the options on the app until you buy the premium license, so for example if you connect your TV and turn the volume up that’s all you can do for the day unless you buy the premium license or wait a day. Then once you buy the premium license you can’t turn on your TV because the application will not see the TV until it is turned on. It is a USELESS application! DO NOT waste your time downloading or paying for it.

Selected videos on phone never play. This app isn’t very Iphone friendly. Nothing casts to my LG tv and I can play very limited amounts of music. Apple forces you to us Apple TV I guess. This app needs to work with apple products better or not offer it to Apple users at all.

Never write reviews but horrible app. App barely works won’t connect to my tv and when it does it takes 20 minutes to even work and all this after I bought the a subscription to keep the controller it worked perfect until I paid money

Worthless App. I can’t even use the app. I turned up the volume 3 clicks and now it won’t let me push any more buttons. It just comes up with the “upgrade to premium” banner when I try to push a button. LG is a joke to make an app like this, while promising “free” limited use that was EXTREMELY limited. I already spent a bunch of money on the tv and the app doesn’t take much to produce, especially when it has ads. For a multi billion dollar company it’s pretty petty to only allow 3 volume clicks. I’ll probably just buy a Samsung tv next time.

Works great!. This remote works great with my smart tv. I love that all apps are included in the options. Easy to use. The only suggestion? It doesn’t actually “turn on” my tv. I can only use it once I’ve turned the tv on manually and I’m not sure why. Otherwise works great.

Unhappy. Paid for premium, and it’s still not working, and still has ads. Worked fine yesterday. I’ll update the review if things change, but I’ve tried restoring the purchase, checked to make sure the payment went through, and fully closed and reopened the app.

Nags too much to evaluate it. At least some basic functionality works. I stopped evaluating when I became too annoyed with the aggressive nagging pop ups for the $20 premium version. I can’t tell how much functionality is locked away in the premium version.

Just facts…. I know that this is a good app it’s just the in app purchases for people to Regularly use the app there should be no in app purchases just to change a channel or turn up the volume that’s why I put 4 star but other than that it’s a five star♥️

Good and bad. The remote is good I liked it paid for it then started getting pop ups for other apps I’m really bummed out I like the app a lot but paid for premium to not get adds and now I get Add pop ups for other remotes I don’t want

Magic Cursor doesn’t work. The cursor stop working within moments of purchasing the app and paying 30 dollars for the one time lifetime subscription. I’ll be contacting the company for a refund.

Not a good app. I would not recommend getting this app it’s taking me like so long and it’s been like two hours I still haven’t app up yet so I would not recommend it takes so long it’s wasting my time so do not buy this app it’s a waste of money and

Channel changer and keyboard wouldn’t work. Many controls worked but for some reason the channel changer did not, maybe because a set top box is needed? Also I was hoping the keyboard would do searches but it complained there was no field to enter text which only left me the alphabet to navigate to each letter and press so I cancelled subscription.

Was good but then.... Everything was looking good around the first 30 seconds. I was having a connection with the tv and it was perfect. Suddenly I get pop ups every time I try and press a button. This was the downfall of my whole enjoyment of this app. After this there’s very little to operate from within the app. Making it practically unusable unless you purchase the premium or pay monthly.

The app is good. But the main reason I got it was to turn on the tv from my phone and not use the remote I even bought the lifetime subscription. Sadly whenever the tv turns off my phone loses connection from the tv and I am not able to access the tv without having to go and using the remote. This may not seem like a huge problem but I’m better at keeping track of where my phone is than the tv remote. I would love to change my review if any future updates fix this issue of mine.

Took my money for “one time payment” AND NOW ASKING FOR MORE?. Paid for unlimited usage license of the app, still can’t use it as the $25 payment screen comes up AGAIN! Tried restoring purchase, did not work. Bait and switch app that will let you connect to your LG TV and demonstrate bare minimum functionality by letting you hit two buttons. Then asks you to pay $25 for “unlimited usage”. Deceptive even without the poor implementation. Will be filing chargeback.

App forcing to do a review. While trying to use the app. It forces you to do a review or you can not use the app. So while I am writing this I will add this app will not turn your tv on. So you still need a second remote to turn tv on. Also not all functions on tv are available on this app. Also I do have the paid version.

Hated the app. if i could give it 0 stars then i would. after like a minute or two of me using it, this pop up would keep appearing saying that i need to pay $20 to continue using the app. every time i would press any buttons on the app, the pop up would show up and nothing would happen on the tv.

Stopped working - No email Response. Good day, pu purchased this app about 30 days ago it was working fine. About a week ago it stopped working. I followed all the suggested solutions I even called Apple care. I’ve even emailed you all twice. I’ve deleted reinstalled the app. I updated my phone. Not free. You can click like one button and it actually works on the tv, but then the 2nd time you try to click a button, it makes you buy the stupid app. I guess it’s this or get a new remote because the other one is lost lost.

Works Great. I use this app on my iPhone when I’m too lazy to get up and get the remote, in other words quite often. Always works, never had a problem with it. I would give it 5 stars if you didn’t have to reconnect to the TV every time you start the app.

Great until it’s not. This remote typically connects quickly to my LJ tv but lately the app constantly closes out so I will have to delete the app redownload it and it will work for a day.

Perfect. I am notorious for losing the remote control for the TV. So the fact that I can control all the functions on it through. The phone is perfect. So far I mean, I’ve only use the app for about a day not even so I don’t really have any complaints on it but yeah, this is perfect.

App Won’t Connect to TV. I’ve been trying to watch TV for 30 mins. Why I had to login to the TV is beyond me. By the time I reset the pw and downloaded the App, My show has ended. Now, the App will not connect to the TV when the TV is on and connected to the same Wi-Fi. The App took me to a smart remote that I hope not being charged an extra $5/mo. I was happy using the TV remote and had no need for this App until today. Very annoyed.

Just get a real remote.. 20$ for a lifetime remote for only 1 phone. Should be some type of plan like 1 tv and 2 remote devices or something. Also have to be within 5’ of the tv for it to stay connected, so still gotta get up to change the channel or volume. It works but could be a lot better. I woulda rather went and bought a regular smart tv remote (which I’m gonna order one anyways) for more $ that way anyone could use it instead of only my phone working as the remote.

4 stars. Let’s take it to a five star app by introducing the ability to to load the TV channels of the region and country that to are in. Add the the ability to to select the 4 colours 🔴🤢🌕🔵 on the remote as well. Last not least the ability to use the Alexa or Google voice features and you’ll have a 5 star plus app. I’ll throw away my physical remote if this is possible . Great app all the same, Thankyou 👊😎

what a waste!. the ‘app’ is of a hideously bad design. the ‘search function’ in apps is nonexistent, so one could not type is a search string! The very reason why I forked out the money to but this ‘software’. Whoever developed this ThinkQ app would not pass my usability course at the university. LG should have done user acceptance testing, which they obviously have not done. Waste of 26$AUD.

Some good controls … but networking?. The App gives access to some useful controls - e.g. subtitles and service provider apps. The standard remote buries many of the basic features and pushes their advertising ahead of basic functionality. But the biggest problem by far is the network connection. I run a simple home network but the App frequently fails to connect. This should not happen at a time when networking should be a mature and reliable feature of an App

All in all pretty good.. To be able to use this app you definitely need to pay the $30 i think from memory , otherwise you only have a minimal number of selections you can use before it won’t allow you to use anymore. There’s a few minor issues but nothing major. I tried to view videos that were on my phone and after the first video , it just kind of froze so I had to back out , reconnect and start again. Otherwise ,it’s pretty good. It does what it’s supposed to do 😬👍

It works with lots of messing around. I have already previously connected the app to the telly but the telly does not stay in the app’s memory and it forgets the telly so I can’t just connect and use this a a remote when I can’t find the remote like intended for the purchase so if you want this app because you frequently lose the tv remote I suggest getting another possibly

Scam. Paid for the “one off payment” for full features, now wants me to pay again!. Paid the one off payment, now when I open the app it asks me to pay again for premium. I tried clicking on “renew purchase” does nothing. The purchase is registered and logged in my iTunes purchased items.

Works for 30 seconds. Worked for about 30 seconds and then every time you touch a button, a pop up appears asking you to pay $30. Every. Single. Time. The free version doesn’t work, why would I pay? That probably won’t work either. Annoying.

It’s an app. You can’t believe my surprise, the moment I opened this app my entire life turned around. I grew 6 inches in height ( and in other areas, wink wink) my bank balance grew 100 fold and women were flocking to me like bees to nectar. If you want your life to change, download this app.

No microphone button. I used the free trial for three days to give me full access to the remote and try it out properly. Two big negatives for me are no microphone button which is a feature of my 2021 WebOS LG TVs which means you can’t use voice commands to do a search, Control functions on the TV or control smart home devices from the remote. The second BIG NEGATIVE for me is that the remote doesn’t store the TVs once it’s discovered them which means you have to find a PHYSICAL REMOTE to turn the TV on first before you can start controlling it from this remote. It’s really annoying if you’ve got yourself all settled in bed, attempt to turn the TV on and then realise you have to get out of bed and go and find the actual remote before you can start using this remote Stupid really. This remote is easier to use in some respects but I will go back to using the LG ThinQ app remote so that I have all the features.

Basically have to pay for it. Never thought I’d have to pay to use my phone as my remote, specially since you only have a limited amount of actions before it asks you to pay for it blocking you from using it further. I’ll likely only use it for the Keyboard function but would not recommend to anyone looking for a remote replacement.

Will never buy LG products again. I wanted to get this app because the remote that came with my LG tv is a piece of crap and the batteries keep falling out. So I pay 500$ for one of your TVs now you want me to pay another 40$ to be able to control it? Ridiculous.

Charged me money and subscription was taken off. Paid 39 dollars (including tax) and subscription stopped working same day. Apple refused my refund and app developers keep on saying restore the app even when i am telling them it doesn’t work. This is worst experience ever. Really disappointed with this issue and never seen this with any app before on apple.

Doesn’t connect. I am actually standing in front of my smart LG TV and it’s telling me it cannot find it. Yes the TV is older but they should make a comment that TVs older than 7 years do not work on this app. Plus I paid for lifetime. Horrible app.

Only get a certain amount of use before put behind pay wall. VERSION 2.0 - Very Frustrating - DO NOT BUY.. Simple put, this Version 2.0 app does not work. Have asked the app’s customer service for assistance. NO RESPONSE. You my friend have been warned. Apple should do a better job of eliminating vendors like this.

Don’t even download. It works and connects but after it does it let me turn my tv up little bit then it won’t let push any buttons without the premium upgrade purchase popping up … trash y’all stupid for this app

Must BUY subscription to use. There is no feature you can use without a subscription. I just wanted the volume control. Not worth it for $5 per week!

Do not buy. So, I just bought this app and it is certainly not worth the 20 bucks. The app frequently disconnects, the input button apparently does not work at all. You could get a remote for way less than you spend on this app. If possible, I want my money back

Spotty usage. Need to pair TV with remote often. Stps responding until you “write a review.” We’ll see how it works after I have complied.

This is horrible,. When you first get the app it seems like it is going to work, but it doesn’t you need a subscription to even touch the remote/use. If I were you I would try a different one because this one isn’t it!

Functionality. Frequently disconnects and is unresponsive even at premium version. I keep thinking it just needs an update but I have newest version and it’s about 50-50 if it works that day.

Great!. This is the first remote that ever worked for my tv.

Pop ups even though I paid the lifetime 20$ fee.. I will update my review if this crap stops. I figured since I was paying g I wouldn’t get any pop ups at all. I’ve gotten about one per second so far.

UGH!. Wish I would have read the reviews before downloading. Same issue as everyone else. It works wonderfully for about 60 secs and then suddenly you can’t push a button because of the pop ups. Don’t waste your time with an app that only works for 60 seconds!

Annoying. Constantly asks if you wanna upgrade to some paid option. Has ads. This should be a free tool for those if us who bought the TV. Look at how Roku does it. This app is despicable.

This app is worthless unless you pay to play.. Any button you touch says it’s a premium feature. Waste of time unless you want to pay extra to use your phone to control the tv.

Doesn’t work unless you pay for it. I pushed one button one time after that no buttons worked. It popped up with and “upgrade” window every time I pushed another button and wouldn’t work.

Shouldn't have to get premium. Constantly ask you to pay for premium and if your not looking at it you can Easily click on it by accident. Should be free and if you don't want to use premium it shouldn't ask you every 3 minutes a bit annoying

Absolute garbage. I purchased the remote for the lifetime subscription And then as soon as I buy a new phone, it doesn’t transfer or even allow me to buy it again. It just indefinitely doesn’t work and is broken. Don’t waste your money

Worthless waste of money!. So I paid to upgrade to”premium” and it doesn’t work!!!

Purchased the upgrade..still no go. I paid for the lifetime upgrade and opened the app and it still open in basic mode. Hit the restore link and still no joy. Apple is refunding but not happy wthi LG as they were useless!

$12 a month for a remote?!. I got an email from LG about great free features I could unlock. Instead I get the opportunity to pay $12 a month to use my phone as a remote— really? I’ll stick with my Roku. LGs software on the TV is lousy. I’m sure not paying for this.

Power On Issue. A bit of a bug in the program. It does not remember the device when powered down… so you cannot turn on the TV.

Too many ads. Was working great at first! Then every time you click a button it asks you to upgrade.😐 I could find the real remote in the amount of times an add popped up.

In app purchase doesn’t get rid of ads. Did the in-app lifetime purchase and still got annoying ad to upgrade everytime I pushed a button. Finally reported it to Apple and got thankfully reimbursed.

Trash. Free version continuously has pop up after each button push in what seems like an attempt to annoy the customer so much that the would just upgrade to premium.

Constant upgrade pop ups. Impossible to use because a full page ad to upgrade to premium pops up over and over and takes over the screen. Obnoxious. Will use one of the many other lg remote apps.

Remote. It found my tv and connected to it ASAP

Great app, not happy about nags. The app is great, remote is super functional and responsive. It looks nice. I’m a bit perturbed that I paid 20 bucks and still have a bag to buy other apps as soon as I open this remote. Not cool.

Poor quality. Downloaded and worked fine for literally 60 seconds now the ad will pop up to every button. I could never pay for an app that doesn’t even work while free. Trash 🤮🤮

Not free. The only reason I downloaded this app was so I could use the keyboard and it won’t let me do it it keeps saying enter a text field and I am in a text field so it is either broken or is trying to get me to buy the app

Can’t turn on tv. But works when on.. Be careful don’t turn your TV off with this remote lol.

Too many premium ads. Every time you hit a button it hits you with an ad for premium. Can’t even see what I’m doing because the premium ad keeps coming up so much.

Not worth it. You can’t click with out getting ads after 3 seconds. get smartify much better it has ads but you can use it with out getting blocked from clicking buttons i would give this negative stars if I could

It took my money. I paid for the one time purchase and it will not let me use any buttons without it asking me to pay again! So disappointed. I didn’t even get a free trial or anything. Completely unusable.

Too many pop ups not use-able. It was not useable. Ads were not the issue but you install it the. Your forced to pay $24 for an premium upgrade or nothing works…

Stupid. Every time you press a button to do something as simple as change the volume it shows you an add I to buy the full version every single time

I’ve bought this app 3 or more times. For each new phone I get and it still won’t allow me to use the app. Keeps going back to the song and buy now screen.

Horrible. It keeps telling me to upgrade to premium so I can use all of the features but I already paid for the upgrade! Frustrating to say the least.

Not Buying. After I downloaded the app, I was only able to use the remote one time before being hassled by the app asking me to go premium. Now I can’t even use the features, I’m not buying, it’s not worth it.

Absolute Crap. Only connects half the time, and has a pop up ad asking you to pay $15 for ad free version after >EVERY< single button click (volume up, channel up, etc).

Download for free...$20 to use!!. Downloaded this app...found my tv right way. Didn’t know to was up super load, so I muted it right away. However to unmuted or do anything else, I had to buy upgrade. For $20 I’ll go buy a replacement remote!! Deleting now!!

Lg. Love it! It’s convenient whenever one of the little ones misplaces the real remote, it’s awesome!

Runs great. Nice app very user friendly and runs smoothly.

One use then all ads. I was able to control volume once. After that any touch brought the premium ad. Deleted the app five minutes later.
