Great app, a few drawbacks. This app is great, for the most part. It works well for managing all of my servers and the server status page works great. Some issues I have been encountering is the app crashes on MacOS the first time you open it after a reboot, closing and reopening the app fixes this until you restart so it’s not a huge issue. Syncing of servers between devices is so slow it may as well not exist. The container management feature has also not worked for me. Me nit picking on the app a little bit here, with my use case I use a vpn for connecting to my servers a lot. Server cat does not handle losing its connection very graciously and I would love if it could regain its ssh connections on vpn termination and reconnection. Overall I would have given it 5 stars if was not for the aforementioned bugs.

Great App, small issue... I recently cloned my drives to new, 2 TB ones. I then increased the partitions successfully, however servercat does not recognize these changes. I tried deleting the servers from the app, rebooting ubuntu, etc.

Great server managing tool. This is a great way to manage a lot of servers and execute updates or similar snippets simultaneously. The only bug I’ve found is that the status page for given server only pops up for half a second and then goes back to the server listings. It would be nice to use this feature

When it works its great but it crashes often. Great little app, purchased pro version and all that. The biggest issue is that it crashes in the terminal when updating flatpak for example, basically if there’s any sort of animation or the screen refreshes to quickly it’ll drop out. What would be ideal is to actually keep the log as I tried to investigate the issue myself to no avail.

Works well. It works well, not sure if it is an improvement from iSH given that you have to pay for the extended features.

Close to perfect - missing SFTP. An added SFTP browser (at least for the paid version) would make this the gold standard. Impeccable design.

Great, but no temps. Amazing app, gui is superb, gives detailed info on cpu usage, memory usage, and internet usage. Almost perfect, just doesn't show the system temperature. I am currently having to use two ssh apps for my machine using this one as the main and a second app just to monitor temps. This app would be 5 stars with temperature monitoring

SSH Freezes Too Often. So SSH sessions constantly freeze up. I can run an SSH sessions just fine but if switch screens and come back the session is frozen for no apparent reason (have to restart the app to fix). This also occurs if you run an SSH session, then close it, then try to open again. It will put you back where you were in the last session but you cannot interact. It is like the session doesn't fully close when you exit it and then just locks up. Server Status is flawless but the SSH function is too hit or miss.

Not a review!. This is not a review. Since There is no contact info or help section on the developer page I am asking a question here. Does this app support ssh login with the yubikey nfc? If not, can you implement support for it? I would like to know before I buy this app.

Easy monitoring. Easy and convenient tool

Nice app, Tmux bind keys don’t work. This is a nice app. The syncing of private keys keys via cloud drive for a 1 time lifetime fee is nice compared to the other apps. But using tmux doesn’t work. The bind keys don’t register with the CTRL key. Also, it would be great if we could install our own fonts! My Powerline10k themes don’t work because the font has to be changed to a p10k font.

Like to many iOS apps, it needs Landscape mode!. Like way to many iOS apps that run on iPadOS it only does Portrait mode for the screen. Although some with iPads will do Portrait mode, I would imagine the majority use the iPad in a folio with a keyboard which is Landscape mode. As soon as I open an app that doesn’t do Landscape, I stop. The developer needs to know their audience. This looks like a good app, although many of what this app does can be done with PiHelper app, and for free or with a $1 donation if your so inclined. Developer, make a proper iPadOS App, make it do Landscape, and I will reinstall this app and try it again. Till then, I will keep using PiHelper app.

Wow. Wow I love this app so much. No more typing top or bmon or anything else to check on the vitals of my raspberry pi node. So great!! I bought the full version without needing it just from gratitude. A super cool and very useful tool.

Really Nice. Works well for monitoring and management even if you're not using docker. My only suggestions are to add celcius and let us see volume usage from the status list.

Great App. Great app for keeping track of RaspberryPi servers and their IP addresses! Also good to check if they are online and some system stats!

Great app, with minor tweaks. This app is just what I need for my server, but my only complaint is the there is no option to change the unit of temperature from imperial to metric. Otherwise, great tool.

Replacement for HyperApp?. This docket management tool looks solid and I see that the developer took their other Linux automation app, HyperApp, off the App Store (still have it downloaded). Is this meant as a pseudo-equivalent functionality to HyperApp? / will their be continued support for the other application?

Great app. I have to say this is a great app, I would love to see an option for Celsius/Fahrenheit. That being said keep up the good work and hope to see future updates.

Used to be the best. But now it constantly crashes. Dev apparently devoted his effort to something else. Wish him the best of luck.

Great app with one big missing piece. I’ve used this app for years now. What frustrates me so much is that it’s so close to being useful. It’s only missing one little thing for me to commit to purchasing it. The thing that sets this app apart from other SSH apps is its monitoring view. It’s literally right there when you open the app. It would be PERFECT as a home screen widget. It’s even widget sized already! Just make it a widget already!!!

Great app, one thing missing. Really liking this app for checking statuses of my servers. The only metric I wish it had is mdadm software RAID info. Reading /proc/mdstat and displaying info about the array would be awesome.

Quite easy to manage dockers. Previously, I need to login ssh and type a lot to create & update containers. Now, just few touch on iPhone, all things are done. Amazing! ServerCat is a fantastic App for managing dockers.

I love this app!. Now if you can add a widget with the ability to select the servers to show in said widget, it would be pretty close to perfect!

Solid app, annoying ios pop-up. I love this app, works great. I shut down of my servers though, and after removing it in settings I still get a pop-up saying “cannot verify server identity”. The pop—up isn't even in the app it's anywhere anytime. I tap on details and go through settings and I cannot find how to delete the server that's not even available anymore!

Switch from Termius. Honeslty.. way better and I am glad I switched. Works flawlessly on both MacOS and iOS. Immediately bought premium and would recommend. Docker feature is really cool too.

No windows support?. No windows support? Even for windows server? Works flawless on Linux but what about windows?

Very bad method to handle PRIVATE PROTECTION!. Encrypted keys are not supported, and all information should be kept on this app. How to ensure the security of users? After reading the FAQ, logically speaking, there is still no guarantee of user security concerns, just like some anti-virus software manufacturers saying that I promise not to leak your data and hack you. This needs to be logically guaranteed, such as giving access to ssh key to users. But encryption key🤷‍♂️ is not supported at present. You can refer to termius' approach. — So you have to prepare a key that cannot be encrypted to use it 不支持加密 key，所有信息都要保存在这个 app 上，如何保证使用者的安全？ 看了 FAQ，从逻辑上来讲还是无法保证使用者安全上的顾虑，就像是一些杀毒软件厂商说我保证不会泄漏你的数据和不会黑你一样。需要在逻辑上来保证这一点，比如把对于 ssh key 的访问交给用户。但是目前不支持加密 key🤷‍♂️，可以参考 termius 的做法。 — 所以必须要准备一个不能加密的 key 才能使用？

Constant crashing. Auto closes when in use. Added Linux hosts to manage from, and app seems to auto close/crash upon navigating through the app from M1 ipad 12.9. I have tried to remove and re-install and issue persists.

Great app...with one downside. This is a great tool for developers to check there server status on-the-go. However, a major downside is that it does not support iPadOS natively, which is a bummer since this tool will be even more useful on iPad. Hope this can be rolled-out in the future release.

Bad impression. I gave it one star because it kept trying to connect even the password was wrong. Our system locked the account after many failed attempts.

Can’t really use it since FreeBSD isn’t supported. I wish I had read their website first: “FreeBSD/***? ServerCat relies on the Linux kernel's /proc subsystem for most of its data, and is temporarily unable to display all metrics on other platforms” Will there be. A update to fix this? Or ?

change apple id then lose all functions. I have purchased the professional version, but if I change my ID to another, I can't use the professional version's features.

Rave review. Fantastic for the homelab folks to check on their stuff. Significantly more graceful than something like uptime kuma, and one click SSH into your target environment makes my deployments easy peasy. As a fun bonus, I’m also running a VPN so I can actually check on my lab while on the move

Brilliant. If you have a pile of Pi running or any other kind of server proliferation, you need this. I used PiHelper for a bit but it’s no longer being supported, and even at it’s best, it’s not even close to as good as this.

Great but can be so much more. It's ironic that the system this app runs on does not details. It shows all system info for Linux boxes but not for Mac. I know that /proc is not supported on mac but there are alternative ways like using sysctl etc. I wouldn't even mind having an option to install something on my Mac Minis so i can monitor them. App looks abandoned and no new features are coming out.

THE best ssh client for iOS by far.... I especially like how quick and responsive the app feels. I also appreciate the server monitoring graphs. I will subscribe. Please, please add mosh support soon. Do that and I will use this exclusively and continue to sing your praises!

Great design but connections are a bit slow. Connections take a few extra seconds to connect vs other SSH apps. The design is great and the quick access to system status and the process list is a great addition. It would be nice to add a button to enable scroll back and swipe and hold gestures for arrow keys like in Shelly. I use byobu and when I connect to a server running it the status bar repeats over and over as it refreshes rather than refreshing the one line. This issue doesn’t app in Shelly or Prompt. Hope to see more updates to address these but it’s a good start so far!

Does not work on iPad. The description says that it works with iPad; however, I can only get it to work on my iPhone. On the iPad, it just shows ‘Connection Failed’ for each server. The FAQ and Docs do not mention how to resolve this. This is a paid app and to know it doesn’t work on the iPad is a real disappointment.

Useful features. Standout feature is the monitoring and ability to connect by simply clicking a server, iCloud sync and Snippets. Great app that is really useful

Useful app for home Linux server. Extremely useful with a great look. However my docker containers where not displaying in the pods section.

Great app. This is a great app for managing your environments. One addition that would top it off would be the ability to render correctly when your server is running PowerLevel10 on zsh. Currently it shows blocks because the font isn’t compatible.

Great, but ugly icon. Disappointed to see the very minimalistic and elegant icon being changed for something that feels outdated and cheap. My Home Screen is gross now. Aside from this, everything just works and the UI is very well polished. The free version has plenty of nice features without any ads or bloat. I would be happy to pay to for a front page widget showing server status and usage.

Beautiful app for checking stats. Gorgeous UI for viewing stats at a glance, though I feel that at least the SSH terminal should be free? Or even just limit 20 commands per session or something. Probably won’t leave this installed very long

Great app, but... I love using this app on my iPhone and MacBook for ssh access to my Linux machines. However on macOS it seems to freak out on me if I start an ssh session and then shrink the window. The ssh window gets kinda garbled and is unusable.

It’s a fascinating server monitoring app!. This is the most advanced, well designed, functional server monitoring app I’ve ever seen and used!

Great terminal app. Overall I love the features in this app. Only negative thing I’d say is scrolling in the terminal window doesn’t seem to function properly. It’s laggy and doesn’t respond to swipes half the time.

Does NOT work on FreeBSD. Very Highly “Linux” oriented. Does not properly report server statistics for FreeBSD servers. Which is 99% of my infrastructure.

So close…. This app is excellent, and has been a key part in being able to transition my workflow to an iPadPro. However, it would be really great to be able to open multiple ssh sessions with a single host. Currently I have to either use linux screen or a different app to have multiple sessions, which is less than ideal.

Great way to monitor Raspberry Pi clusters!. I’ve been using this app for several months now, and I gotta say it’s my go-to for monitoring my server cluster I have at home. I was surprised to see that if I’m running docker containers on my system, ServerCat will populate them in the server’s information pane which is helpful to get some basic info on containers I have running. Some features I wish we had: -Being able to save docker instances that are already running by reading env files and storing them in the “Pods” section, so we can easily kill, change, and start container instances. -Being able to change “Pods” to “Containers” if we are not using Kubernetes instances. -Configuring a VPN inside of ServerCat so we can just open ServerCat, connect to the VPN, and monitor servers without first going into iPhone/iPad settings and switching on VPN. -A desktop app would be incredible, even just a port of the iPad version to MacOS would be amazing. -Snippets are great, but feel a little clunky the way I use them. I use snippets to store and run common commands on my servers, but I wish each server had its own “Snippets” button so I wouldn’t have to pick a snippet, and then a server constantly. Maybe even make it so a snippet can be created, and add servers that can use that snippet, and then each server in the servers tab with access to that snippet would have a new “snippets” button with snippets that server can use. -Maybe a way to configure how information appears in the server information tab? I can see net traffic and disk usage, but not really in a way that’s easy for me to understand. It would be nice to set variables for those to change what is showing or what units it uses, or even just percentages of ram/disk usage. Some toggles of what shows up in the rings would be fantastic. -Please, PLEASE, let us choose Celsius or Fahrenheit for server core temps. I’m much more used to Celsius for these things over Fahrenheit. -I’m sure I’ll think of more over time. But this app is really fantastic. It’s a great, visual, and easy to use application for monitoring multiple servers. Thank you!
