Best wallpaper app, this and vellum.. By far. I don't know how this app is so unrecognized. If you're looking for a simple wallpaper app that doesn't incessantly bug you with ads and has good quality backgrounds, this is what you want.

Awesome. If the app were an insect it would be a spider because it’s the best. I’m scared of spiders, but I respect them. Not scared of this app though, 5 stars!

Great but. This is by far the best wallpaper app but it consumes a lot of battery unfortunately. I have to uninstall it because of heavy battery drain. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

One of the best wallpaper apps comes to IOS. I’ve missed this app since I switched to IOS and I’m glad to see it again. This app has amazing wallpapers and the app is clean and easy to use. If you’re into clean wallpapers give this app a try.

Great app! Nice Free wallpapers Without using Subscription!. When entering the app you are offered a pro subscription and if you don’t use it then you still have many options for wallpapers to use. Most of the wallpapers are in 1080P resolution but it still looks very nice on for your background. It gives you a roomful of options such as abstracts, nature, animals , food smiled, even picks out your favorite color aesthetic.

Wallpapers galore... in portrait. A well designed app and an excellent source of wallpapers. There’s enough variety to satisfy most users, but not as much choice as you might get with other sources that have larger, more active contributors. The only real negative to using the app is lack of true iPad support, in that there is no landscape mode and most of the walls are seemingly designed with the portrait aspect in mind.

Great app!!. Amazing wallpapers with intricate designs. Many different styles for all personalities. Definitely worth the download!!

LOVE IT!!!. First of all this is by far the best background app I've found and I love it. Literally my only suggestion would be if I could search for specific creators so I can see all their stuff in one place. Also "Kxnt" whoever that is, makes amazing artwork and I want all of it!

Poor customer service. I tried contacting the customer support team to discuss about the issue I am facing while uploading any image but never heard back. I mailed more than 5 times and never got a single reply.

No wallpapers to be had. Sign In with Apple button doesn’t work. I signed up and continually try to log in but the screen never refreshes - need to “skip for now”. Then Community and Explore tabs only shows ads - no wallpapers, and the Collections tab shows only 5 locked collections.

Decent app, but needs more content. The app is fine, has some nice wallpapers but there are rarely any new wallpapers added. The "coming soon" pack has been "coming soon" for two months now. Either release content as advertised or removed the "coming soon" pack as it's annoying to see or sit there unavailable.

Simple and yet Beautiful!. It’s really amazing, I saw some of the wallpapers, especially Meditate! I immediately added that. Would love to see more of that! And I see some several ones but they are Pro. But wow this app is beautiful. Very simple too! 💖

Best wallpaper app I’ve used by far. New wallpapers everyday and not a single bad one!

Fantastic, but one request. This is a fantastic app with some beautiful wallpapers- one request: please add landscape support for iPad- that’s the way many of us use our iPads these days. Other than that, I highly recommend this app as a wonderful source of beautiful wallpapers.

Server response issue. The UI is native, the collections are great, but why the server is too slow to load the image fast. The server takes quite a good amount time to load. Please fix it

Google integration. I switched to iPhone but I’m disappointed I can’t login to my account via google, as I already have a subscription. So I’m unable to access it.

Broken after latest update. On latest iOS update, free version of app now only loads a bunch of panels for a Weather app ad, and gets stuck when trying to load any categories. Can’t tell if it’s a bug or a joke. Whatever the case, didn’t make me feel at all more likely to pay for it (or to get the weather app). Back to Unsplash!

Best wallpaper app. This is hands down the best wallpaper app there is! Have been using it for years now.

Great app, beware of bug with pro. I love the app and wallpapers, but when I purchased pro the app does not register my purchase. It inconsistently tells me to purchase pro when I click on pro wallpapers even though I’ve already purchased it. Otherwise a great app, deserving of 5 stars.

Best Wallpapers App With One Gripe. So far there hasn’t been an app with more wallpapers that fits my taste than this. Only thing that bugs me sometimes is that a lot of wallpapers have a preview in a wider aspect ratio which would fit perfectly for an iPad but when I download it it’s the standard portrait aspect cutting out a lot of the sides which for an iPad doesn’t work at all. Is there a option to download the actual full size wallpaper rather than the one tailored for standard phone screens?

Finally on iOS. This the best free wallpaper app on the market, hands down.

Refresh Explore page without force closing the app. Wonderful wallpapers. But there’s no way to refresh the explore page without force closing the app. If by pulling down on the page if we can refresh that would be great

Smooth. Kxnt has been one of the best,doing this for years.

Never loads. I purchased the pro. But now Everytime I try to load the wallpapers they NEVER load. I've tried wifi and cellular with good connection. Never works. Left it for 40 minutes once and didn't work....

WONDERFUL. The app is sooo good! Wallpapers are beautiful and artistic, high quality, and there’s a wonderful variety. One thing the app needs is a preview screen for wallpapers. Specific to each device. Besides that the app is wonderful beyond comprehension. Love it!!!!!!!!!

Good Wallpapers, but.... The wallpapers here are great, they really are, I just wish I could download them. Now yes there is a download button, but it just gives me an error. Also, half of the pictures don’t load. I don’t know if this is part of an update that made something go wrong, or if it’s my wifi connection. But please fix this!

Best wallpaper app I’ve come across ever. This app is way underrated and under appreciated considering how amazing it is! I’ve used lots of wallpaper apps over the years and was not expecting this one to far surpass all of them but it does. Fantastic selection and no ads every 5 seconds like so many others. I’d highly highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good wallpaper background app option without a doubt!

Sleak app. Purchased the pro version and don’t regret it , works amazingly on my iPad and iPhone. Easy to use and plenty of quality wallpapers

Love the satellite backdrops with Pro.. The app doesn’t swamp you with hundreds of bad choices. It’s all easy to navigate and quality. Pro is worth it.

Variety🔥. This is a great diverse collection of backdrops. Figuring I didn’t even have a backdrop before this app I’ve been changing regularly. Best thing it’s free! Highly recommend

Where to start with the issues.... Sign In with Apple says it works, but it never actually seems to sign in... On iPad, landscape mode is not supported. This makes it very inconvenient at best to use this app when the iPad Pro is on the magic keyboard. I can’t actually VIEW or download any of the packs like the pro pack, even after upgrading to pro status for $3.99 or whatever. All I get are spinners. In addition, I used the in-app link to email app support about these issues, and my email bounced with a notification that this email address does not exist. I’m starting to feel like someone is trolling me here...

Great App That Consumes A lot of Power & Makes iPhone Very Hot. I really like this app for its fantastic, high-quality wallpapers and clear, easy-to-use interface. However, I have noticed that while Using the app, my iPhone gets extremely and excessively hot – hotter than I have ever felt it while using any app. And, looking at the battery statistics, it seems to consume a lot of system resources. Those two issues are a major concern to me; I am concerned that continued use of this app will damage the battery in my iPhone. I very much hope the developers are able to fix this soon, because otherwise the app is really fantastic.

Great App - Needs Little Things. This is by far one of the best wallpaper curation apps I’ve used. The designs are always clean, sharp and high quality. They’re displayed in a great way, and I’ve had a lot of fun picking out my favorite designs. I don’t think I’ve ever used an app like this where I was able to find so many designs that I loved immediately! That being said, there are a couple of things that need to be improved: I use this on both my iPhone and iPad and I wish there was a “size” category for each of these. It would make finding options for my iPad easier. Also, I don’t mind the ads, but every now and then I get an ad for a loan vendor that doesn’t go away. I can’t click out of the ad and it stays stuck on the screen until I close the app and restart it. Kinda annoying.

Needs widget. So I do like this app but it needs some things like for example widgets change photo off widget like colorful widgets it’s really good

Great!. This is an amazing app with great quality wallpapers! This is V1 so I feel like there can be many improvements to be made - full screen preview, iPad sizes, more collections, indicator of a download. But something tells me that an update is coming 😅

High quality. I’ve been using BACKDROPS for years now. I first saw it on an MKBHD episode and loves it since. They provide high quality wallpapers without all the crazy ads, and always have one to fit the season and style your looking for.

Better Selection. For some reason I find most wallpapers in this app more appealing than ones in Wally and Zedge.

I change my wallpaper regularly and Backdrops makes it so much easier to find the best curated ones 👍 Just a small enhancement suggestions: - it would be better if we could preview the whole image no just a square part of it; - make it possible to zoom in/out; - add iPhone (homescreen / lockscreen) previews. Other than that it’s a great app, and it could be better with some improvements.

Amazing background. This app is great! It caters for all types of tastes allowing you to choose quality backgrounds. I hope they would add a Downloaded section, so you know which backgrounds you already downloaded, but besides that the app is great. The backgrounds are all high quality, and every time you go to the app you will find something for you. Also, the app is completely free! so there is no forcing you into a premium version, but if you would like to get the premium version you can.

Finally. A TRULY great wallpaper app.. This app is fantastic. From someone who spends a lot of time digging through the web for walls for my iPhone 11 Pro Max, this app may have just been the fix. Awesome walls. Awesome, clean UI. Just praise all around.

Preview Please. The wallpapers are gorgeous. It would be nice to have a preview option to show what is would look like on your device before so you don’t have to download it first then open up photos and try it from there. Keep the content coming.

Artwork. The art is very beautiful and interesting, most of them are free with some ads.

Support from backdrop is inexistant.. I send a support month’s ago and multiples times without having a single answer.

Love this app but ads are rough.. Great app! Would give full 5 stars but need to vet through their ads a little better - first time opening the app in a quiet room of people, volume maxed, a video ad quickly started running, startled I dropped my phone on the floor - caused a big scene.

Love It!. Quality wallpaper app I’ve seen in awhile, one thing I’d wish to see is landscape support for iPad, currently it’s locked to portrait-only.

In-app ads take up whole screen and impossible to dismiss. Absolutely absurd ad shown for solitaire app. The ad takes up entire screen and won’t quit. How does this pass through Apple’s store filters? Developer should be ashamed of this app’s ad model.

Used to be great. Was a great source of various kinds of backgrounds, now is full of lazy AI art that might look good at first glance but if you actually try and look at a detail it’s an unrecognizable mess

Pro Version. I bought the pro version of the app but it never updated to the pro version.

App unnecessarily requires permission to read photo library. The Backdrop app should not need permission to read my photos in order to download wallpapers. Apps can request Read/Write, or Write only access from users (called “Add Photos Only”). I would love to use this app if this is resolved.

Too many trackers. The latest update identifies all tracking vectors to comply with Apple’s App Transparency feature, and with that I’m uninstalling this app. There’s a lot of unnecessary analytics linked to your identity. So until you start respecting people’s privacy, it’s bye-bye.

Unable to sign in with gmail account in iPhone. I have a pro account but unable to login in iPhone. It only gives option to Sign in with Apple account

I can’t return to the menu.. After I click on a wallpaper and download it, I can’t return to the main menu to view the other wallpapers. I think there’s an issue with the software.

App eats battery and heats up my phone. Using this app on an 11 Pro Max and unfortunately, while I love the organization of the app and the wallpapers, the app makes my phone really HOT. I don’t think I’ve ever felt my phone this hot to the touch, but it needs to be fixed ASAP.

Doesn’t work. Any time I open the app the community and explore tabs never show any walls. Only shows 4-5 ad cards. Only to see any walls is to go and pic a specific tag, ie. trees

Great .. But ... Using an iPhone 11 and the phone heats up very quickly using the app had to uninstall due to phone overheating!

Where are all my favorites?. I have been a considerable advocate of this app as a long time user between Android and iOS. The recent update removed all the favorites I had catalogued over the years which is the first bummer. The second bummer was noticing that the past year has had limited new wallpaper drops after having purchased the Pro version from the very beginning. That was supposed to include exclusive wallpaper and now while I retain my Pro account without my saved wallpaper favs I have to make individual purchases to individual collections? No thanks, I’m out I’ll just download elsewhere. :(

Eh. So so.. It’s ok but it doesn’t change much. Same stuff day after day. So pretty boring once you’ve seen them. And most of the wallpapers aren’t that nice, really.

Battery life. Update is taking a major hit on battery life.

App suddenly crashes on start up. Been using Backdrops consistently for a few weeks now. About 1 week after the most recent update (1.1.0) it is now crashing on start up.

Doesn’t work don’t waste your money. I go all through the steps like paying the money!! Choosing the one I want leaving setting up the ones I love and then nothing right back to the icon nothing happens at all so very disappointed.

LONG TIME USER. I’ve been a fan of this app for years on both Android and iOS. I recently updated to iOS 17.2, and now backdrops seems to be in a loading loop, and I can’t even sync my favs. Any help?
