Adjustments to the Feature Update Subscription for Surge iOS Since the introduction of the feature update subscription mechanism for Surge iOS, we have aimed to maintain a reasonable balance between continuously evolving the product’s capabilities and ensuring a reliable long-term user experience. After evaluation, we have decided to make the following adjustments: 1. All newly added proxy protocol compatibility support in the future will no longer be included within the scope of the feature update subscription, and will be available directly to all users. 2. TrustTunnel, which is currently supported on an experimental basis, will also not be subject to subscription restrictions and can be used directly. We believe that protocol compatibility should be a fundamental capability provided in a stable, long-term manner, rather than a phased incremental feature. This means that, in the future, users will not need to worry about the availability of basic protocol support due to their subscription status; new protocol compatibility capabilities will also be made available to all users more directly and continuously. After this adjustment, subscription updates will focus more on new advanced features, while protocol compatibility itself will be maintained as a long-term foundational capability of the product. At the same time, the proxy protocol ecosystem itself is also constantly changing. Some protocols continue to evolve, while others gradually fall out of mainstream use cases. To ensure the long-term maintainability of Surge’s codebase and the overall quality of the product, we will also take actual usage into account when placing certain legacy protocols into maintenance freeze, or gradually ending support for them in the future. We will handle related adjustments as cautiously as possible and provide explanations in advance, in order to minimize the impact on existing user profiles and user experience. You can configure HTTP/2-based CONNECT proxy connections via the h2-connect type. * HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/2 CONNECT, and TrustTunnel proxies now support custom request headers. * HTTP/2 CONNECT and the TrustTunnel proxy now support multiplexing. Because too many sub-connections multiplexed over the same TCP connection may cause performance issues, by default up to 3 sub-connections are allowed. This can be adjusted via the policy parameter `max-streams`. * The storage logic for icon configuration in the iOS version has been adjusted. Now, when the profile is editable, it will preferentially be written into the profile to ensure interoperability with the Mac version. New protocols. Thanks for your work. Please, support latest protocols such as vless-xtls, shadowsocks 2022, etc. And there’s a transfer speed cap at ~280 Mbit for Hysteria2, I get much better speed using alternative clients.

Way Too Expensive. All the most useful features are blocked by a fifty dollar paywall, completely rendering this app useless. All I want to be able to use MitM to create an ad-blocking paywall, but it’s just not worth $50. I can understand a max of ten, but now I will have to find better alternatives.

Stop repeating in-app alert. The in-app alert is freaking annoying and it perfectly hides the start/stop button, which is interrupting me from normally using surge. The app is great, but please, maybe give me some sort of option to disable it or show it in other ways.
Change to UTF-16. How to switch TCP Packet capture to allow UTF 16? I'm stuck where packet capture cannot pick up unicode chars. I accidentally hit it once, but idk how to change it back. If you can tell me how, I'll purchase full version. Thanks.

Great App!. Truly amazing and powerful for anyone with the understanding required to use it. It’s feature set is unparalleled as far as I’m aware of. My only gripe is that there need to be useful examples in the documentation! There are none. Show me the awesome things I can do with Surge because it’s a steep learning curve and examples would get me there quicker!

The best network sniffer ever on a phone. I've been using Surge for iOS and Surge for Mac for over a year. It's incredible. Superior to tools like Charles Proxy and Fiddler in many ways, and it can run entirely on your phone or tablet. (But if you want a desktop UI, too, you can connect Surge for Mac as a companion. Best of both worlds.) The traffic capture is the best I've found for iOS - a combination of a local VPN server and a local proxy server that can intercept everything I've needed it to - with robust support for MITM SSL decryption. You can dig through captured requests & responses, complete with syntax highlighting, right on the device. (I'd love a more efficient & advanced request viewer UI on iPad, though.) And, dear Surge devs, please try to solicit app ratings! You don't deserve this low 3.4 star app rating. It undersells your fantastic product.

Used by HACKERS!. Recently got hacked into my Growtopia account trying to do a “Glitch”. They make you type in some sort of DNS number which links your phone to the hacker, they can now see everything you’ve typed in, including passwords, usernames and emails. BE CAREFUL! DO NOT USE! Do not allow VPN in any circumstance. Report this app to be taken DOWN!

No good. Basic features that other apps like Stream provide, such as HTTPS MiTM, is locked behind paywall. You need $50USD/year to buy it although you know you will rarely be using it, that’s a no no

HTTPS Doesn’t work. It’s a nice app and has a lot of cool features but sadly the https decryption is not working anymore.
Needs Membership to use basic feature. It needs expensive subscription to use very basic features.
